US Army M474 TEL (Transport Erector Launcher), a M113 APC derivative, with a MGM-31 Pershing short range ballistic missile during a launch test from Hueco Range, Ft. Bliss, TX targeting White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. February 16th, 1966
couple OCs for astrothrill!! these are the two other main characters alongside sairen :]
G-Taak is a galaxy-class thief with a hell of a track record, with TELS being his trusty comms support and software hacking aficionado (having jailbroken the holophones they both use)
oh and they're both Extremely gay for each other let's not forget that
EDIT: TELS' design is a bit outdated now since i feel my new alien sona's a bit too similar to him and i wanna eventually change his design nBHKXCLHKL
Tyr's relationship with both Tels and Merry gets more and more tense as time goes on, where the sort of opposite is true for Yalid: when Tyr and Yalid meet, Yalid is a seasoned warrior who has been serving under Almalexia for centuries, and her loyalty to (and infatuation with) Ayem was only just beginning to crack thanks to the multitudes of "re-education" programs she submitted herself to. Yalid knows of Tyr's status as nerevarine, but honestly? that just makes her like him even less, worried that this heretic would somehow steal away the goddess.
she does, however, accompany him into the Clockwork City. after that whole ordeal, Yalid and Tyr are close.
however - with Tels, Tyr found them endearing at first. he thought they were just an eccentric shopkeep with a wild imagination, helping repair their 'egg' as a kindness to a person who seemed keen on making sure he stayed alive. it isn't until he finds Tels living in the ruins of the Clockwork City, trying to bring all of its functions back online over two hundred years after Sotha Sil's death, that he starts to really look into their past and see their recurring appearances and disappearances dating back to the DAWN ERA that he even began to think there was more to Tels beyond a helpful book collector.
with Merry, though? it's. it's hard. he knew her since she was a child. there was a strange mix of brotherly and paternal instincts that sat uncomfortably in his chest around her as she got older: he had nearly stormed the Imperial Palace himself to free her from prison when her letter reached him. but something had changed about her when she got out -- she was bound to something now, something greater than herself. Merry didn't even seem to realize it, and that was easily the worst part.
the Crisis got worse. Merry's letters became less frequent. Merry vanished into shadows, as she always did. (his heart seized the moment he saw the statue of Sheogorath, deep in some forgotten cavern high in the Velothis; he told himself the round face and bright grin were simply a trick of the madgod, revenge for selling that fork to his sugar dealer.)
"B-but Palestinians can get their freedom with peace not violence 🥺🥺" no. Screw your feelings. The armed resistance against colonizers and murderers is what will give Palestinians their freedom and what will eventually achieve real peace.
An enemy that bombs and uses white phosphorus against civilians doesn't know nor practice what your broken moral compass describes as "peace". Freedom was proven throughout history not to be achieved through kneeling and asking the oppressor to kindly stop. Freedom needs to be taken by force. Your little Utopian way of thinking doesn't work in the real world. Your feelings don't matter because you're not the one living under occupation. Your feelings don't matter because you're not one of the thousands of children who lost their limbs. You're not one of the children who became orphans due to this genocide. You're not the mother who lost her child to the carpet bombing. You're not the father carrying the remains of your child in plastic bags. You're not the newlywed woman who lost her husband. You're not the one at risk of either getting killed any second or losing your loved ones in the blink of an eye!
"Peace" is not really a thing you see during a live ethnic cleansing!
