It’s dumb, downright silly actually when you stop long enough to think about it. Utterly comical when you find yourself grinning too wide as you open up the little app you downloaded because some of your friends ‘needed your help with a task’ but who knows how long ago that was now. 

Driven by the compulsive need to complete tasks now being your reasoning to continue to venture outside of your comfort zone into more social aspects for the sake of the game. 

Because at least if you were going to have your nose in your phone you should at least be getting out in nature as well. Enjoying some outings and making friends. 

You never would’ve thought that redownloading Pokémon Go would have your heart racing every time you went to complete your dailies. Or when you got a notification from your favorite username: DecayDaddy.  

Swiping over to the ‘Friends’ tab after you’ve successfully accomplished a Field Research for the day. Scrolling down to pointedly ignore his name at the top of your list. Clicking each name, opening the gifts they’d sent you and sending one each back as you take the time to attach the precious little stickers. 

Run of the mill Pikachu stickers for the random friends you’d added ‘way back when’ from a Facebook group before deleting your comment so you wouldn’t have to deal with the unending friend requests. 

A Mudkip to one of your coworkers that still plays, a Sylveon to your friend you're sure only still opens the app to help you out (bless their kind souls). 

Going down the list until you’ve caught up with everyone that needed them for the day and barely making a dent in the collection you have. 

Leaving him left as you swipe back up to the top. Running your palm down your face because it was ridiculous really, maybe even a little insane, to be this fond of someone that you aren’t entirely sure who they might be. 

Finally clicking on his username to open his gift and see one of the newer stickers attached to the postcard, a trio of oddish smiling and leaping over one another with flowers abound. 

And you aren’t an insane person, not really, you swear.. well okay, maybe just slightly. But you can assure that specific sticker pack costs ten in-game coins because you like to collect them yourself, so it has to be special right? That’s what you do with them anyway, save them to send to your friends. 

But you’re prone to overthink, the inner monologue beginning to run away from you but you can’t say that it’s far from completely logical this time. It was deranged to think someone you didn’t know, added randomly through a post on social media (even if the group was locally based) was flirting with you through stickers on virtual postcards.  

Shame sits heavy in your gut then, shrinking within the covers of your mattress. Flipping over onto your side while you pull the covers high as if to hide yourself away from the sunlight seeping in through the slivers of your blackout curtains created by the fan in your room. 

Groaning to yourself before just selecting your least favorite sticker of all the packs; the awkward looking, poorly drawn Marill while it spews water. Locking for phone as you shove your face into your pillow to give yourself one good groan before you get ready for the day. No real plans besides tidying up around your home and maybe a few non-pressing errands when your phone vibrates and screen illuminates the dark fabric of your silk pillowcase. 

Turning over and holding the device away from you, screen waking to a banner from Discord for a friend request that nearly puts your heart in your throat. 

Decaydaddy has added you as a friend

Sitting up as you frantically fumble to unlock your phone because of course the facial recognition doesn’t want to work in the lowlight. Tapping in the wrong passcode twice with an annoyed scowl to pretty features before you open up directly to the notification screen of the app. 

You know it’s him because you can recognize the profile picture from his personal profile on Facebook but the similar handle to his Go account helps as well. 

Who uses their actual picture on discord anyway? scoffed internally. Your own icon saved for whatever anime character you favored or kinned that week personally. 

You’re thankful he does though, otherwise you would’ve denied his friend request and wouldn’t have received his subsequent message afterward. 

DecayDaddy: I was right, I figured your handle would be the same as discord. 

Your heart is racing, face warm with the rush of blood that roars in your ears because it should be a red flag that he found your discord from an app you can’t even communicate with one another from but it excites you. 

Makes you feel stupidly giddy because maybe you weren’t completely delusional to think you were flirting back and forth based on stickers attached to postcards. 

DecayDaddy: None of my friends play and you’re actually pretty close by. Do you want to meet up today to do some of the tasks for that dumb ‘a route to new friendships’ one?  

Okay so maybe you were a little delusional, cheeks and chest warming with a burning shame before your phone chimes with another discord notification. 

DecayDaddy: We could grab something to eat too, my treat. For helpin me. 

Exhaling a breathless laugh as your rub the sides of your forehead, giving yourself whiplash but you’ll take this as a win. Hopefully you can actually flirt pretty normally without your trusted ‘cute’ stickers. Sending back a quick, ‘sure no problem! I’d love to help, just let me know where I should meet ya and when’ before resting your phone on your abdomen face down. Throwing your arm over your eyes as you collapse back into your nest of pillows to stare up at the ceiling. 

Waiting a few moments before you get another message, assuming it’s from your mystery man. 

DecayDaddy: No cute sticker today? 

Ha. Maybe not so delusional after all.

But tomorrow is a relative term, you’re never going to get there, especially if you continue to let your anxieties get the better of you.

Truly you should consider it self preservation, what person in their right mind would feel wooed over a complete stranger finding their discord the way that he had?

Well, besides someone like you of course because you were the one flirting with him through stickers on a game about digital creatures you capture while wandering aimlessly for them.

It doesn’t stop you from messaging him frequently though, thankful he’s considerate and far from pushy. Tenko, you learn his name to be, isn’t one to spam either but the conversation continues with mutual interest; branching from just typical pleasantries or sticking solely to talking about events within the game.

Telling you about how he works from home and codes for a living as well as streaming in his free time. You even check him out, subscribe to his channel, he has a decent following for someone that doesn’t do it so seriously. He was exactly who he said he was, pictures matching the video he sometimes displays while doing ‘let’s plays’ with a few friends who stream a bit more legitimately and have a larger following.

The most notable names being Dynamight and ChargeBolt, prominent YouTubers and Twitch streamers with a subscriber count well into the millions for each of them individually.

Which makes talking to him a little daunting despite how down to earth he was. Simultaneous nervous and giddy energy flooding your system the times you do discuss getting a chance to meet up to complete a few research tasks in the game.

Somewhat noncommittal with the time, tasks that could be done at any point that would take a few days to accomplish anyway. Discussing the ways you both play the game in the mean, Tenko likes to collect strong pokemon albeit the unconventional type. Atypical to the ones most people see in local gyms like Dragonite or Gyarados, though he does have those.

But somehow he had the strongest little sandslash you’d ever seen, especially for only being a level 34. Typically doing trainer battles with it, a Milotic and a Sylveon and mostly emerging victorious.

While you typically liked to collect shinies, possessing a decent amount more than he had. Over a hundred, several being each stage of a Pokémon’s evolution as well as multiple shinies.

You: I’ll trade you one when we see each other, you can have the high cp one, I have two that are pretty close in level.

Promising a few trades so he could complete a few tasks that required taking a snapshot of a legendary that didn’t appear in raids anymore.

And it isn’t until one of the days you decide to head into the city for some of the raids, an impromptu announcement in the form of a dropdown bar earning your attention.

Groaning about taking a trip sooner than expected but you weren’t lucky enough to get a shiny mewtwo the last time he was in raids and you won’t miss it now.

Item bag packed full of premium raid passes so you can battle until you earn your prize. Glad many others covet the same one so the battle parties were full and participating in the raids wasn’t a headache.

Joining in one after the other as you walk from street to street, gyms lining the prefecture all with countdowns to the next battle and ones until they ended. Each party so full that the game would automatically divide the amounts so everyone had a chance.

You sit and wait on a bench away from the small clusters of other people, not too keen on speaking with so many people when you just wanted one thing before heading home.

Waiting and watching the timer tick down before the raid starts when a dropdown notification from Discord appears.

DecayDaddy: Are you using a remote raid pass for Mewtwo?

Glancing between the text and the timer before tabbing out to his chat.

You: No, havin to venture out into the great unknown all alone like a heathen because I have no friends to invite me 😔

Smiling at the silly tone you imbue into the text, that you hope he can hear because he’s heard your voice in a handful of short calls or voice memos. The soft expression you wear gradually spreads into a full blown grin when he texts back a short ‘look up’.

You’re quick to comply, squinting from the sun but you’d recognize those starlit locks anywhere even with the dark hood pulled over the stylishly unstyled mop.

Giving him a tentative wave but not moving from your spot as Tenko cuts through the little crowd around him and crosses the small courtyard to join you.

“Better hurry, time's almost up,” calling in a half yell the closer he gets and it’s criminal how the upward quirk of the corner of his lips makes the beat of your heart hasten. Near skip in its steady rhythm when he widens the length of his stride instead of breaking into a half jog, closing the distance between you with ease with just a few seconds to spare.

Standing directly in front of you and seemingly intentionally obscuring the glaring sun with his figure, giving himself a halo of light. The thought makes you feel silly, clearing your throat after you swallow because there’s no reason a near perfect stranger should enrapture you with such ease.

“It started,” his voice breaks the slight reverent stupor you’d fallen into, blinking up at him in confusion before scrambling for your phone with a curse. Nape of your neck feeling warm and with Tenko inadvertently providing shade you can’t blame it on the warmth of the sun's rays.

You’re just thankful he doesn’t make any comment on it, standing up as your Pokémon spawn in to battle the boss. Quick to defeat it with the oversized raiding group, giggling with a cute little cheer when the stats appear at the end and it tells you that you’d been the one to deal the final strike.

Missing how Tenko’s cool rubies rake up and down your form while finding your actions cute before paying attention to his own screen.

Eyes widening when he sees the flare of sparkles when his prize appears on screen to be caught, a little stunned because he’d never been very fortunate in catching any shinies. Tossing his ball and only tilting to look at your screen when you groan in disappointment.

“I’m gonna have to find another one to battle, it wasn’t shiny. It was strong though! Almost thirty five hundred cp!”

His brows raise, cocking his hip bit as he shifts his weight from one foot to another. Quiet for a moment as you take a moment to spin the gym, stopping you before you can pocket your phone.

“I can go with you if you want, do a few until you catch one,” offered so simply and calmly you almost declined. The beginning’s of a polite ‘you don’t have to do that’ on your tongue when he continues, “or we could just get something to eat together instead, like I offered before. Mine was shiny so I could give it to you.”

Again you think to refuse, tell him you could earn your own like he’d gotten his but as he stares at you realization starts to set in. A warmth creeping into your chest and up your throat at the notion and how maybe you’d been a bit oblivious.

“Wait, are you asking me on a date?”

“For the second time now,” he sounds so blasé about it, like he’s talking about the weather when he turns on his heel. Ready to head down the street to one of the many restaurants lining the block. Craning his neck without turning around when Tenko sees you aren’t following, “are you coming?”

“Depends,” you start cutely, rolling your lip between your teeth to fight the cheeky smile as you take a few steps forward. Pulling out your phone to shake it at him, leaning forward to tilt into his view, “are you really gonna give me your shiny?”

He chuckles at that, a breathy sound that floats on his exhale as he resumes his stride when you fall into step, “only if you trade me the strong one you got.”

Chapter 419 Analysis or "How to completely break Tenko Shimura" a manipulative guide from All For One (part 1)

This is mainly a character analysis of Shigaraki Tomura or Shimura Tenko, any other character present is there to help.

Chapter 419 was hard to comprehend even with just summaries right on April 4th. Some things need at least fan translation to fully make sense. Or just hurt more in that matter.

Warning of spoilers to the whole manga to the point of chapter 419! All of the warnings from the respective Tomura chapters are applicable.

So like... mentions of death, killing other people, manipulation, emotional abuse and many more!

This is going to be long! So let's start, shall we?

First of all we'll need to take into understanding ALL the chapters that we'll need to remember/reread just make this chapter worse (skip if already familiar with them):

Chapter 222 - Tomura Shigaraki: Distortion

This is your "Tenko and Tomura understanding" starter pack, basically. Without them it's harder to even start unpacking what just happened with Tomura's perspective in mind

Well then.

The chapter starts and we are immediately greeted by AFO semi-agreeing without wanting to, that Tomura was strong enough before Izuku started trying "saving" him in his own way and even succeeded making Tenko's will all the more fragile than it was when he returned using his hate to his advantage.

Even after Izuku holding Tenko's hands for the whole chapter he was still stubborn enough to continue even without that hate in his heart

And the thing that initial summaries missed was the fact that Tomura actually reacted to AFO reapperance.

Still not understanding why AFO was even saying that.

Tenko was literally taught by AFO to follow "what he wants" in ch 237 with Tenko making his first decision to kill someone himself. And never actually hiding that Tomura just needed to never forget that hatred and those bad emotions that Tomura never really understood. And it took Izuku seconds to decipher them.

With AFO reassuring Tomura that he has no need in following morals of society and just should follow whatever he wants - his want to destroy everything that hurts him. And only AFO would accept and help him. He was constantly reminded of that.

Even if Tenko was feeling sick from killing at first, even if hands that he wore were still making him sick 15 years later without him understanding anything. Decisions made while person is emotional are usually the ones that the person might regret the most and Tomura lived with those unstable emotions for years. Knowing that they hurt him and make him feel sick.

But Sensei said that it's okay to follow those emotions. That's it's actually great that he does it.

Everything was for his sake, everything was for Tomura Shigaraki and Tomura Shigaraki only. He was his Sensei's successor and no one should argue with it. He's the only one to be next ruler of the underground and the next king. And Tomura gladly accepted that as truth.

Since it was easier than facing his guilt.

Because AFO just needed Tomura to have enough willpower to get OFA when the plan is ready. To make Gigantomachia to follow him while Garaki was watching knowing full well how the plan is going. Both knowing full well that Tomura is still holding himself back.

In this chapter however we finally see how all of the things AFO told and taught Tenko were just to make him so sure that HE was in control and allowed to do whatever he wants to completely break his worldview in the end "after he gets OFA" which is an unreachable goal now since OFA is gone for good.

By just saying that Tenko never had any choice to begin with.

Tomura already knew that AFO manipulated him and he was just a pawn, needed only to get OFA and piss off All-Might he accepted and embraced it as something unimportant. It was his choice and he was free to do it and not feel bad about it. Since he's born to destroy.

Until suddenly it wasn't just his life after Decay that was manipulated.

But his whole life from birth. Just because AFO didn't get his hands on Hana sooner and she was happy while AFO needed someone hurt and broken. And Shimura's household wasn't as bad as he needed it to be at first with Kotaro loving his children, wife, in-laws and even his mother.

And AFO destroyed it by creating so much conflict and even going out of his way to make sure Tenko's father knew that he was playing heroes with some kids. And even saved them by putting his own quirkless life in danger.

In some sense narrator-Tomura's words at the end of ch 236 still might hold true. AFO didn't just create his hate out of nowhere, to make it feel like even if Tenko remembers everything it's still he's doing not a villain appearing, not just some accident that it actually was.

Although AFO doesn't say anything about people who didn't help Tenko even though he he knew that it happened so he most probably was watching it happen until Tenko lost all hope entirely to finaly make him dependent on his help.

And he succeeded for the most part.

Tomura was making an assumption after he remembered everything that he "must've been yearning for that" and from that point onwards explains everything that happened as "I wanted it - I did it" and was clinging to it like a lifeline to explain everything.

He accepted that if Re-Destro is talking about his Decay quirk affecting him he exists only to destroy.

And now it seems he found a false motivation for himself that AFO created by cruely manipulating everything from his quirk to his family. Making him believe he had a hand in it. Breaking one of "safe" truths that Tomura never doubted. They only made his decisions feel right.

Which makes that a hopeless loop of broken memories being staged just to let Tenko become Tomura who hates and destroys everything believing that it's his choice. Only choice at that.

And if destroying is him only choice because of his quirk... then what can a quirkless person do while having so many people dead from his own hands? Hands that were literally cursed to have destruction quirk in them not because he was born to do it. But because his own Sensei wanted that.

And he's "unwavering heart" is now nothing but an illusion that was destroyed by both Izuku and AFO together.

There's no "Can I be a Hero?", because can he even be a Villain if most of the choices that were from Decay and the hatred in his heart weren't actually his own?

I don't know if you're still doing it, but an AU where Gran Torino raises Kotaro.

1- as Shih put it, Sorahiko's an all-or-nothing guy. Nana tells him that Kotaro isn't safe anywhere near her, that she can't handle losing her son to AfO. Sorahiko nods, and asks if he should hide the boy, or go with him. Nana asks him to stay with Kotaro, and cries a lot. Sorahiko holds her, and then goes inside to tell Kotaro that he's going with him, and needs to pack up, and tell his mother goodbye.

2- Kotaro Yamada is raised in a strange way. Sorahiko can't cook any better than his mother could, but he doesn't try anymore. He knows Sorahiko used to be a hero, like his mother, but when he asks all the man tells him is he got his license because he just wanted to use his quirk, and now he keeps it in case whoever is after his mother comes for the boy. And oh, is Kotaro conflicted about his mother- he certainly can't say a bad word about her in Sorahiko's earshot. He knows she loves him, and is likely going to die trying to protect him from something. But he doesn't like it. *Yamada is just a common name, since Sorahiko is sure that AfO would know to look out for any Shimuras or Torinos.

3- When Kotaro is twelve years old, Sorahiko gets a call from a phone number he hasn't in years. He answers it, and there's a young voice on the other side, rough from tears, saying that Shimura-sensei told him to call the number after she died. Sorahiko knows this means Nana needs something else from him- the last thing she needs from him. But he has to help the first way too. So, he sneaks to UA during the day, and trains Toshinori while Kotaro is at school- Toshinori is excused for personal training, for "meetings with the school counselor after losing his teacher", and makes up classwork in the evenings after Sorahiko leaves. Toshinori stays in an altered apartment in one of the fake cities on UA grounds, alone when he isn't training. When Toshinori once tells Sorahiko that Nana was like his mother, Sorahiko asks quietly if Nana ever told him about her son. Toshinori just says she lost him, a bit of sadness in her heart no matter how she smiled or spoke of romantic dreams. Sorahiko tells him (Toshinori) that it's his (Sorahiko's) fault Nana never saw her son again, and that he's going to train Toshinori to make sure he can kill AfO, not the other way around. Which means he needs to leave the country. The last training session the day before graduation is the last time Sorahiko speaks to Toshinori for decades. And it will not be Toshinori reaching out.

4- Kotaro goes to high school, then university. He becomes an architect. He falls in love. He's surprised when Sorahiko is happy to hear this- weren't they both hurt so much by Nana? Isn't that why Sorahiko closed himself off from anyone but Kotaro? But he's encouraged. He marries Nao, builds a house for her and her parents and him and his. Eventually, they have a little girl, Hana. She looks so much like Nana. Sorahiko and Kotaro never say this fact outloud.

5- Eventually, AfO finds Kotaro. Hana is eight, too old for him to spark a quirk awakening in her without suspicion. But with enough eavesdropping quirks he hears that Kotaro and Nao are considering another child, so he starts setting up coincidences to nudge them along the line. When Tenko is born, four years later than in canon btw, AfO moves. Hana sits down at the dinner table, and when she touches her mother's arm, the woman turns to dust. Everyone starts screaming- except Sorahiko, who moves. He grabs Hana and breaks the window to the backyard, leaves Hana floating above the grass in terror, her jacket falling to dust as she hugs herself. Then he goes back, and grabs baby Tenko. He looks up to see Kotaro, covered in Nao's blood, looking to the front door, that also fell apart. A tall man stands behind it, reaching out a hand to the wall. Kotaro looks back at Sorahiko and tells him to go with the kids, now. Sorahiko breaks into Might Tower about half an hour later, with a child and a baby, and tells All Might these are Nana's grandkids, and he needs All Might to arrange tickets to I-island for the three of them, as quickly as he can while keeping it secret. He leaves a report in a file behind them. Toshinori only tells David to protect them, and Dave does. The baby's a year younger than Melissa, he has to help. Over a decade later, he finds that Hana's headaches seem to be from stress for her two quirks, the sort of opposite problem with Toshinori's decreasing power. But maybe he can build something to help- Melissa the engineer and Tenko the programmer are eager to help too, anyway they can. Sorahiko, feeling as useless as he always has, thanks them.

Torino said that Tomura existing at all hurts All Might (which is doubtful), so Tomura should just die. Then AFO later says that Tomura wasn't supposed to have been born in the first place because the Shimuras didn't originally want a 2nd kid, so maybe Tomura really SHOULDN'T have existed all along actually and Gran Torino was right about that, just like how he was right about killing Tomura being the right thing to do. I would've preferred for the narrative to say Tomura should exist in SPITE of all that, not say yeah actually lets just kill him off now for the 3rd time guys lets pack it up

Gran Torino blaming Tomura's existence for hurting All Might was one of the wildest moments in the manga. You're blaming this guy for All Might's self-imposed guilt and grief? Not even like, blaming Tomura's actions, but just the fact of Tomura existing. Very heroic. It's great that Deku's wearing his cape.

I'm sure Tomura existing does hurt All Might, but I like seeing All Might in emotional pain over Shigaraki so Shigaraki should keep existing. Maybe if All Might had listened to his heart and gone to save Shigaraki, he'll make himself feel better. Really, the onus is on him.

Now for AFO - he never says exactly that Tenko shouldn't have been born, but he does seem to take responsibility for Tenko being conceived/born/existing - he encouraged Kotarou to have a second kid, so Tenko's existence owes itself to AfO, technically.

...Which does actually make Gran right in a way, like you said. AFO specifically sought out the Shimuras because he wanted a vessel that would 'grind away at All Might's spiritual fortitude'. So he wanted a Shimura child just so he can use them as a middle finger towards All Might. A Shimura child by itself shouldn't hurt All Might, but a Shimura child under AFO's control is specifically meant to hurt All Might. Huh.

None of which is Tomura's fault tho. He's not responsible for any of this.

In any case, since Tomura's existence is so controversial, he should live however he wants just to spite everyone. The narrative should be rendering him immortal. The villain, the outcast, the criminal, the symbol of terror, the legacy of Nana, the angry brat, the incarnation of destruction, the Hero for Villains - anyone can find an issue with him, he's troubling lots of things just by existing. He should keep at it.

Manga already has him wondering who could ever validate his existence the way he is, and so his existence should be validated. Should be loved and celebrated and treasured. Man i really hope he's alive. And he lives to continue to fuck over anyone he hates.

I was taking a look about how nobody noticed the Shimura house collapsing and how Tenko was able to get away, until I remembered the fact that I had a car accident literally occurred outside my house while I was taking a shower. My parents heard it loud and clear and thought I somehow broke the shower glass door but I didn't hear anything so here is my theory after checking with the anime version of the scene, since that one has a timestamp. This works independently of whether Tenko is a Quirkless who was given Decay or if Decay was a late blooming natural Quirk.

The entire house collapse took about minute and wasn't that loud. If taking a shower, which are often done in an enclosed space is capable of reducing noise, the neighbors probably wouldn't have heard it. There's also the fact that they could've been watching something loud on TV, like an action pack movie that has a lot of explosions or could've been hearing headphones.

This is Japan. The Shimura household and neighborhood could've been in an earthquake zone, which means that if the neighbors were to feel something like an earthquake, they would prioritized themselves and their families first, not go where the earthquake originated and get themselves hurt. It could also have been a villain attack nearby and with it being night, it would not be safe to go outside.

The neighbors could literally not be home at that time and let the lights on, which some have done.

The situation occurred at nighttime, where visibility is low, the activities are low and people aren't as likely to go outside for any reason. If they didn't noticed the accident, it could reasonably to assume that the light being out could mean that the Shimuras aren't there or they decided to to to sleep. Outside of certain people, who would look at their neighbor's house when the blinds could be down, thus letting out the indoor lights but people from seeing in or out?

Given that this a house in a suburban Japan, whether this occurs in the city or rural area, checking online, the average police response time in Japan is ~10 minutes, but this requires somebody to call the police, which someone obviously did in the morning. The Japanese police and heroes aren't going to be actively patrolling in a safe area that often.

Tenko is a 5 year old child who just killed his entire family, destroyed his house and gained traumatic memories from the event; the key part, he is a 5 years old child. Given his age, children that young, when they know that they did something wrong, is to either freeze up, deny/blame the situation, or leave the area. Children that age or younger and are capable of walking can easily go away from one's sight without anyone paying attention.

Tenko is the sole survivor. No one in the Shimura family other than Tenko survived, which means that there is nobody to report that he could still be around. It is reasonable to assume, judging by the state of the Shimura house and the sheer amount of dust to assume that the entire family died due to a villain attack.

Tenko post Quirk awakening does not look like Tenko Shimura pre-Quirk awakening. The stress of awakening Decay resulting in his hair turning white and making his skin a lot more drier and itchy, thus people aren't going to recognize such a kid. Unfortunately, Tenko looks like a homeless person so nobody is going to help such a kid in a dire situation and goes by the Bystander Effect of letting someone else do the job. Tenko could just been an orphan kid down on his luck, and Japan doesn't really treat orphans well.

Honestly it's pretty easy for Tenko to have simply slipped through the cracks

I have too many MHA AU ideas so here

Dadzawa AU: literally just a series of Aizawa parenting his class, probably with guest appearances from the Big 3, Shinsou, and Eri. Background Erasermic with trans!Aizawa. Shinsou was a teenage accident of Aizawa and Oboro's, who Aizawa was forced to give up. Yamada and Aizawa have tried off and on for a second kid for eight years and then suddenly in a matter of two years they get 25 of them (including a newborn that forces Aizawa to take a leave of absence as Eraserhead and teach full time for a while)

Fluff(ier than canon) AU: Erasercloudmic gets together in high school, they still have Shinsou. Oboro doesn't die or go missing but Aizawa and Yamada can't pay for his medical bills *and* support their kid in high school even if they COULD keep it, so they give him up to save Oboro, who as a result never becomes Kurogiri. The three of them stay together, though not without a rough patch, and eventually get married; Oboro is permanently disabled, probably with mobility and vision issues, and Loud Cloud retires. He works as a producer at Mic's radio station. Nothing bad happens to Shimura Tenko; Dadmight Toshinori to the rescue there. He still passes OfA to Midoriya. No Kurogiri and no Shigaraki means no League of Villains; Dabi is a known vigilante rather than a straight up villain. Todoroki Natsuo becomes a detective and tracks Touya down to tell him what's happened since he left. Dabi knocks on Eraserhead and Present Mic's door to ask them for help rescuing his baby brother - "Because you'll stand up to Endeavor. No one else will." Erasercloudmic end up with custody of Shoto, Hitoshi, and Eri.

ABO AU: Same basis as the Fluff AU with Erasercloudmic and Shinsou, and no League of Villains, but omega Aizawa with his two alphas, and their pack including such gems as beta Toshinori, alpha Nemuri, and beta Tensei. Tenya and Aizawa are still pretending they don't know each other well into second year despite the fact that the young alpha has literally napped in Aizawa's nest.

Mutant AU: Everyone's quirk is actually a mutation caused by the x-gene, Marvel canon style. UA has connections with Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and Avengers Academy. Aizawa and Logan get along famously despite that time they met back when Logan was a Villain:tm: and Aizawa was in high school and almost killed him by using Erasure on his extremely poisoned (by metal bones) ass. Hawkeye and Izuku hit it off immediately. Bakugou fucking hates Hawkeye's guts, even more so after Hawkeye just douses him with something that neutralizes his nitroglycerin sweat and ties him up before Bakugou can touch him. Kirishima and Tetsutetsu have new heroes to fanboy over after meeting Hulk, Warpath, and Colossus.
