Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding of things...

David Tennant: wears a shirt and publicly says trans kids have the right to exist. Otherwise continues to just do his thing as a beloved British actor with no social media.

The UK Right: has an absolute fit, tries to call him a pedo, but it backfires and gets one of their own fired

David Tennant: wears pride pins in public venues and is supportive of his kid. Otherwise continues to do his thing and has a massive year as a beloved British actor with no social media.

LGBT Britain: give him an ally award for... Not stopping being a good dad and wearing pins while on TV.

David Tennant: accepts award with grace and humility and understanding that the bar for allyship is in the floor, and says he wishes a right wing politician would shut up (presumably about trans people).

Rishi Sunak and the Tories: tries to go after DT for impinging on freedom of speech.

"Dr Cass delivers stinging criticisms of NHS gender clinics, both adult and child, and her description of the Gender Identity Development Service is absolutely damning. It is disgraceful that GIDS, alongside the adult clinics, did not cooperate with her attempt to survey its practice, or to carry out a high-quality, long-term follow-up study on the treatment of children as part of the review, which would have been a global first."

The tide has turned in the UK and in Europe. When will American media finally begin reporting on the closing of "gender clinics" and the bans on puberty blockers for children? I figure nothing will happen here in the U.S. until the lawsuits start flooding in. It's already begun. And with proof like the Cass Review and the WPATH files, it's going to be very, very difficult for clinics, doctors, and therapists to continue lying about how transitioning does no permanent and irreversible physical and psychological harm.

part of the reason david tennant works so fucking well as a dramatic actor is because he has chemistry with fucking everyone. and this isn’t meant to detract from the contributions of his costars. quite the contrary. i think he’d be enticing to watch next to a piece of toast but put him next to counterparts just as competent and you have an unstoppable powerhouse on your hands. dten next to the likes of michael sheen and catherine tate and its no wonder people flock in droves. it doesnt matter if theyre reading shakespeare or space angel man with ambiguous gender. asses are going to be in seats!
