Introducing for the third time, TENTOOROSE MONTH!!

Doctor Who S04E13 Journey’s End aired on the 5th of July, 2008.

For the entire month of July, we will be celebrating our favourite complicated event in time and space through fics, gifs, fanart, manips, graphics, fic-rec lists, metas, playlists, general screaming...and anything else you can think of!

Parallel

Are there any particular doctor/rose parallels you enjoy? What's your favourite foreshadowing for this ending? What do you think of parallel worlds? What do you think of Doomsday? What did the Doctor and Rose do in their time apart? How did they heal post JE? Interpret this theme as loosely as you like!

2. Firsts

The first time there was something more than friendship. The first time they held hands. The first time they kissed. Their first time. The first time the Doctor went out to the shop for groceries--anything, really!

3. The Tylers

A big part of why JE is such a fabulous ending is, of course, the Tylers. With this theme, we're looking for allll the Found Family goodness. Give us Jackie & Tentoo shenaningans. Give us Rose sorting out her feelings about her not-exactly-but-biologically-identical-dad. Give us the Doctor realising that he's not alone anymore, and he's never going to be again :')

4. A Life Like That

Street corner, two in the morning, getting a taxi home...the Doctor and Rose finding joy in the ordinary.

25: the archer - I AM SO GLAD YOU PICKED THIS ONE! this is the doctor song for me, especially through a tenrose lens. read the lyrics rn i'm serious

43: the very first night - funny bc "i wish i could fly id pick you up and we'd go back in time." lol. (the other lyrics also work though)

60: you are in love (top 3 taylor for me!!) - ok it works for series 1/2 because it's about the love "in the silence" (oh she knows etc) but it really shines as a TENTOOROSE song. the domesticity.. the fact that they can have burnt toast sundays and kiss on sidewalks and be in love ugh it's too good

1: run - suchhhh a perfect song for them. i think it would technically make a tad more sense placed a few songs later chronologically but i could not pass up the opportunity of having the first word between them as the first song on the playlist

7: i'm only me when i'm with you - the only song from debut on the playlist 😭 very cute i think it works from both of their perspectives

21: labyrinth - TOP TIER! aggressively doctor. so so perfect. "i'll be getting over you my whole life" "i thought the plane was going down, how'd you turn it right around?" i could go on

70: new year's day - (actually it's 69 bc i've been editing it and there are now only 69 songs oops) tentoorose :')) so so them and i appreciate the taxi line (because now he can get a taxi home at 2 am on a street corner). very deserving of the final spot i think
