Red and Wolfie for junkpile on Instagram!! This was a fun commission to work on, and the commissioner was very cool, and gave me a lot of info to work from. These two are from the Tex Avery short "Red Hot Riding Hood" (amongst other Tex Avery media), which was SO HILARIOUS the first time I watched it, I laughed way more than I expected. I found where you can watch it in full on archive.org, if you wanna.
Apparently, two characters being in love and having a picnic under a tree is one of my favorite things to draw. My mind always goes there and I don't know why but it's cute!!
oh shit i burned myself writing this hot take ouch
if somebody self-dx's, then does more research and discovered they misdiagnosed, changing the the diagnosis on their social profiles, etc. doesn't warrant fakeclaiming. it just means they were uneducated before and tried to do what was best for them, to the best of their ability.
(context: i previously self-dx'ed as osdd-1b under the assumption that we do not get amnesia, but according to people around us, we do, and i'm looking into either a pdid, usdd, or osdd-1a diagnosis but im afraid of ppl fakeclaiming)
!!! Yeah! Sometimes people make mistakes and that's okay, though I would recommend you educate yourself as much as possible before self diagnosing even if you do that there's still a possibility of making a mistake
Happy Birthday Red! Tex Avery’s “Red Hot Riding Hood” was released 81 years ago, May 8th, 1943. Featuring Red (beautifully animated by Preston Blair) who has to contest with one of her audience members, a wolf who’s a little too taken with her feminine charms.
Saw a bit of 10th Kingdom trivia that said that Wolf’s outfit resembles the suit of Tex Avery’s wolf. I don’t really see it, but apart from that I do agree that 10th Kingdom Wolf is very Tex Avery wolf coded.
no one should be judged or called ableist for wanting final fusion & fusion can happen naturally as you bring down amnesia barriers, even if you don’t intend for it to.
^^^ yeah. Final fusion is valid. Functional multiplicity is valid. Every form of healing is valid.
We had fun dressing up Tex Avery’s Red Hot Riding Hood as Maid Marian, for “Tom and Jerry: Robin Hood and His Merry Mouse,” 2012. Here, in a shot I animated, she cleverly turns the wolves against one another in this jazzy musical number.
