Thing is, I think we’ve all got it wrong about modern!Sebastian’s texting style. Instead of massive poetic paragraphs, I just think he’d one-word it. All of it. Ciel may be the exception, but for everyone else all they’ll be getting is one word responses.

hi, phone anon here! sorry for not clarifying, i meant simply what their texting style would be (all caps, boomer, doesn't know emojis, lowercase, bad grammar, perfect grammar, essays in one text) etc. but yeah i head canoned oren to be the type not to know anything about phones 😭

That makes sense! No need to be sorry, I'm like an old lady when it comes to tech knowledge and just general cultural references. My younger siblings use their weird internet slang and I look at them like they're speaking another language so it's more me than you 😅

Irus: All emojis, all the time. You'll rarely find a message written with actual words.

Elora: She's a mix of both emojis and text, with perfect grammar.

Oren: He's still figuring out what emojis are.

Anu: She'd use a mix of both, but wouldn't care about grammar or spelling or the general rules of constructing a coherent sentence.

texting styles: an analysis

ive noticed some things about my friends who have certain texting habits, idk if these are accurate for everyone but this is what i found!

Autocaps on: these people are usually more ""innocent"" (they may be online a lot but they aren't as caught up with memes). they also tend to be quite sincere and driven, and they face their problems head-on. a lot of the stuff they say over text comes off as passive aggressive and they may or may not be aware of this.

autocaps off: people with this setting often use humor to deflect things. they're pretty street smart or at least well-versed in meme culture. you usually won't see this style in anyone older than like 23, so it's pretty emblematic of young people. these people are very YOLO and are so much fun to hang out with (they tend to be quite funny as well). they come off as "cool", sometimes "too cool for you".

use emoticons a lot :) : these folks are super genuine and kind. even if they come off as reserved or aloof, they will listen well and include you. keep them in your life because they will be there for you <3

USE CAPITALIZATION A LOT: they're dramatic and prone to overexcitement, they might get a little too loud irl. these people are as real as it gets. even if they aren't actually loud, they probably have loud opinions/personalities so make sure to give them lots of space to be themselves!

Users of correct grammar and capitalization: they probably don't text a lot, and they have pretty good phone habits. pretty driven and may be close to family. sweet people :)

people who use a new text message for every word in their sentence: similarly to the capitalization folks, they can get pretty excited over things. they're kind of scatterbrained and you may have to help them out with life (we love them for it haha). if they use this texting style with you it's fairly vulnerable so make sure to hear them out!!!

lots of typos: they were so excited to talk to you that they did not care about making typos. so you BETTER get excited right back bc these guys have your back!!

He is, how ever, very handsome, and she decided she’ll be his house cat for the time being. Fast forward two years later and they have a vampire cherub of a baby named Bruce.

Babies usually don’t come out with fangs and tiny bat wings, so, yeah. His wife’s a vampire. Cool.
