Since i am I am a person who impulsively saves a lot of pictures and screenshot and videos and art to my phone's photo gallery (only for me to look at, not spreading it anywhere else), there is one habit that I picked up from when I used to have a lot of worse days, but now is basically a daily ritual. And it's that, before going to sleep, I will enter that photo gallery and choose one picture (or video) from it

It can be anything, depending on how I'm feeling, but it's always some image that either makes me smile or motivates / inspires me. It can be a picture of me / my family / my friends, but it can also be a meme, a screenshot of my chat with someone or a nice comment under something I made. It can be an edit of a character I obsess over, a fanart I really really love, a screenshot of a fragment from a fanfic that was so iconic I had to keep it. I promise you one time it was a drawing that was just 3 stickmen characters with 2 dialogue lines that made me laugh so hard it is still my favourite fanart ever for that fandom

And what I do is I leave the picture in full display and then I turn off the phone and go to sleep. So that the next day, after I wake up and eventually reach for my phone to unlock it, the first thing I see is this exact picture

That way, I can remember something from the day before that made me happy, was funny, moved me, inspired something. And even if the day before was bad, I am reminded that at the end of it I can always find something that somehow can make me feel nice. That there's always things and people that make me happy out there. That even the bad times can end on a smile – maybe a strained, small one, maybe a tear-filled one, maybe a nostalgic one – but a smile nonetheless

And I don't know, somehow that used to keep me going when I felt tired and unmotivated. And now it's just a happy note to start the day with to get motivation and a reminder that at the end of the day there's always something nice waiting for me

Im sharing this rly just a thank you to all the people out there who make lovely and funny and interesting things and are kind and having fun and sharing it all with the world. Something you made or said just might've one time been a picture (or video) that I had displayed on my screen one of those days that made me happy. You might have just been my smile after a tiring day, and I love you. And I love you even if it wasn't you yet

My point is. Whether it's something simple and short and you spent 2 minutes on it, or something you worked on for so long and put so much effort and thought into – your passion and kindness don't go unnoticed. Keep doing your things and sharing what makes you happy because I promise you there's people out there who are happy because of it too. Even if it's one person

everything crossed out are pieces that are currently being worked on. leviathan (ghost x reader) and you’ll understand one day (soap x reader) are the ones that are close to being published.

i believe my ao3 version of Happiness is completely caught up (i am posting the new part in a couple hours) but everything before the chapter titled tonight, tonight, tonight, is intended for a project i’m going to write after i feel i’m satisfied with the Happiness series. Angel through Diamond Ring (which is a piece that is also close to being finished) are a part of that project, and the project is essentially me writing how simon fell in love with his wife 🥰🤭

hello what are your thoughts on blake maybe being a little in love with carlos and/or cecil

Blake to me is a weasel. He is nothing. (I made a post a while back about how his character is kind of pointless in narrative but we can ignore that bc I'm hot and swim in dichotomy) I drew him like a mob boss lackey for a reason. He finds whoever is in power and latches on to them because it makes him feel like he has power, without having to deal with the pressure or consequence of it. Whether this is because of inconsistent writing, or intentional, it does portray a character who has no loyalties anywhere when the pressure is on. Or, somebody that doesn't really know what is morally good anymore, but is trying to figure it out. Which is very fun!

I think Blake is obsessed with any person who can assume this role for him. First it was Janet, and now, it could potentially be Carlos. It's interesting that he named Carlos head of university, when Blake was Janet's right hand man, and could have assumed the role himself.

It's fun to think about Blake being so obsessed with Carlos, at first the legend of him, and the expectation that he could never be him in Janet's eyes, to fully becoming obsessed with him and the life that he has here. Carlos has a good job, good community, cute kid, beautiful husband. Carlos got out. He got out of what seems to be a super fucked up and controlling place. I think Blake holds him as some kind of deity, given the respect and power he undoubtedly has in Night Vale (which, you can't tell me otherwise).

I think he worships him. And I think, he is, to some degree, very in love with him. Because for Blake, worship and love go hand in hand.

As for Cecil....... Well, it took two seconds of Cecil sitting on top of him after Cecil tackled him in Dana's house for Blake to realize how good Carlos has it here.........................................

But, jokes aside, if we go back to what I said about power, Blake is looking at Cecil as someone who has authority in town. And Cecil does! He's the news! And, Cecil who is easily manipulated time and time again, out of a goodness and purity and hope, or forcibly by different forces (and sometimes because he's stupid), is someone Blake can align himself with and potentially control.

tldr: Blake obsessively wants to be Carlos, and being Carlos mean's getting Cecil. Kind of fun, if you think about it, come take my hand let's imagine the drama together.

I hold onto a lot of things from my childhood i think... Tons of plushies as well as notebooks with drawings of them and their names written... a lot of other old drawings too. A huge my little pony poster from my childhood friend that still takes up a significant part of my wall. Old diaries I never wrote more than 5 pages in. Glasses I used to wear in kindergarten. Old projects and stories from the first classes of primary school. A guitar pick I got from my favourite teacher in 2nd grade that I never used because I never played guitar. Glass pebbles I won when i was 7 for making drawings for teachers and that everyone fought for. Toy plastic rings and bracelets and other toy jewellery.

There's a lot more but those all come up at the top of my head

A Complete Stranger Bought Me A SuperCorpZine & Unknowingly Restored My Hope

This is my long meltdown on how a generous stranger literally made me cry happy tears when I was moping hours ago when it happened...

A bit of a story about myself, I'm a 27yr old psychology undergrad. I had to stop and I never got to continue college cause as the breadwinner in the family, expenses and daily necessities were higher than my own salary. The only option was to take loans just to get by until the next pay day.

So yeah that was a terrible idea. The cycle never ended since.

Hence, wanting something and actually buying it was never an option for me.

It would always be the thought of "What about tomorrow?" or "I can't spend money because I don't know if we'll have sudden expenses."

For someone who has anxiety, expecting the chances of the latter still didn't prepare me anyway.

So when Supergirl ended then the Volume for You Are My Hero was announced, I was so bummed. I never got the chance to participate in this amazing thing the SuperCorp Fandom has been doing for years and I knew I couldn't afford it.

Then BAM! Omnibus~ Literally all the previous volumes plus the latest in one!!!

I never wanted something as much as this!

Yes SuperCorp has ruined me for any other ship and I'm happy ish them.

My brain literally converted the amount to how much kgs of Rice that would be equivalent to, how it would pay an entire electric bill or just how many days worth of food that amount would spare us.

And aside from knowing I can't afford it ever, I don't deserve it! Like how could I even think of prioritizing my wants over my family's needs?

I thought, but what if I save up? I have at least a month or so.

I tried so hard...every single change, every single grocery discount, declined every hangout with close friends...

But yeah the sudden expenses never end...and that's how my hopes in buying Omnibus were shattered.

So Monday June 20, 10 days before the entire pre-order ends...I'm moping on my bed.

Sulking with my swollen eyes as I finally accepted that I'm never going to get Omnibus. I won't have that last memento that I was part of this amazing,talented and generous fandom.

Then a literal surreal moment happened...

Eyes swollen and blurry, I was scrolling thru the SuperCorp Tag when I found a post about sponsoring the Omnibus and to only avail it if you really can't afford it.

I stared at it for soooo long. There were likes but no comments and I was like, Is this for real? Seriously?

I've been in desperate situations before that I lost my original Twitter account because I thought a complete stranger would actually help me...

So I was sceptical and I'm too emotionaly broken over not getting Omnibus for me to be too hopeful and just be shattered once more.

But nooooo. This complete stranger literally gave me life by sending more than enough funds to get Omnibus. As in making sure to send more than enough!

It's so surreal ya guys T_T
