this is SUCH a good question and i know it’s so controversial so this is just my personal take!! i totally understand why people might think it’s wrong-

but i do believe that annie was a career and volunteered for the games. i think all victors are damaged from their games in a way and annie is just a different (perhaps more extreme?) example of the affects of being in the arena.

the thing is, you can have all the training in the world- but nothing really prepares you for that kind of violence. especially not seeing your district partner, someone you knew, being decapitated. that is extremely heavy and traumatizing to witness even for someone who volunteered for it. and yes, maybe most careers wouldn’t be impacted by that to the extent that by the human brain is a weird thing and all people react differently.

i saw someone make the comparison between soldiers signing up to join the military and still coming out deeply traumatized by what they saw and i think that’s a pretty good example. you can know what you’re getting into, you can train, you can do whatever- but you’re never truly 100% prepared to go through something like that.

in my opinion, that actually makes her a much more interesting- and no less sympathetic- character! i think a lot of people don’t want to associate annie (and even finnick i see a lot) with being “careers” because the careers are associated with being the bad guys and no one wants their faves to be the bad guys. but the careers were not evil/bad people- they were brainwashed children. but that’s another rant for another day.

so yeah idk if any of that even made sense but basically:

“Hey, Lenormand Anon back here. So, just to comment somethings first. Well I’m actually an asexual (I know, the irony since I’m about to send a full report on sex) and I have no interest in pulling some cards for myself and I absolutely have NO interest in doing it for anyone I know (I really don’t want to imagine any of my friends doing it). And that’s why I decided to just pick up an idol and pull some cards as a description to see if it would make sense. The thing is, I graduated in literature studies and one thing we were always told when analyzing any poem or book was: do not interpret something authors write as something that it is somehow related to them in their real life. Because someone can write love stories without ever been in love, for example. So, I thought it would be an interest experiment to ask the cards if Taeyong lyrics actually reflect the truth and I was expecting that at some level the answer would be no or not exactly. But, wow! Apparently, his lyrics do reflect the truth and he is a little freak hahahhahahha. And the cards were very clear about it, they couldn’t have been clearer. The thing is, the description cards that came up were so funny to me that I thought that you and your audience would appreciate hahahahahhahaha… So basically the cards were:

Clover – Bear – Scythe

Whip – Clouds – Mice

Since I asked the cards to describe how he likes the sex I’m going to just state the meanings that I’ve learned for each of them (feel free to comment if you agree with me, please).

Clover – This is just good and nice sex. It might include some nervousness from not knowing what to expect but the outcome is great. Generally, includes teasing and finding out erogenous zones, like teasing just the right spots here and there but involving the entire body and the experience ending up in a huge pleasure. This also includes sex that doesn’t have any penetration but again involves the body as a whole and the thing is touching the right parts. It’s also playful.

Bear – Well since you are familiar with Lenormand you already know that this card means dominance and power. It does not necessarily mean that he likes to be dominated because that wasn’t the exact question I asked LOL (I asked how he likes sex). But this definitely means that he likes power play. This does not imply any violence, though. It’s just leading. Anyways, usually, the dominating one gets pleasure by giving pleasure to the other person, though sometimes it might be a little selfish. Also, this is one of the most intense cards in sex readings. The bear engulfs and surrounds the other completely (I mean even if you think in bear hugs, right?) and the pleasure is out of scale.

Scythe – This is everything that is fast and get’s interrupted, it doesn’t get to the end of things. It might mean someone that comes fast before the other person has time to do it. It also might mean sex without penetration, since it might be like interrupting things before getting to it. It doesn’t mean you won’t get any pleasure, though.

Whip – This is just LOL. Well, while the bear is dominance but without violence, this one IS violence and BDSM. This is the slaps and kicks he talks about in Baby don’t like it. And the whipping, of course. Obviously, this is also super intense.

Clouds – This was a bit confusing to me because Clouds is one of the most important cards in Lenormand and in any reading it “clouds” everything around it. Since this is a small spread all the cards are fogged by it (besides, it in right in the middle). Considering that clouds also mean confusion, in the sex context it stands for fantasy (ironically in Baby Don’t like it the next lines after the beating part is the fantasy part hahahhaha). Personally, I can also see this as some kind of blindfold and sensory play, especially if we think of the clover card. However, I can also see it as all these kinks being things that he fantasies about, much like the way you described when you analyzed the four of cups as his sex card, he reflects and fantasies about all this but it could be that he hasn’t actually tried all of them (?). And, finishing up with this card, it also makes me think that clouds are just a bunch of water and just very moisty, also reminds me of that four of cups.

Mice – So, this can be messy and dirty stuff. Since mice are dirty this could be kinks with spit, drilling, playing body fluids, or even urine (I am sure all these kinks have names but I am not sure I want to find out what they are hahahahha). This can also mean risky sex, like public, somehow hidden or, unprotected sex. It can also mean fast sex, like quickies or just some masturbation here and there. SIMS ahhh, BUNK BEDS, ahhhh sdljdjdjdkdkdldksj i actually haven‘t played it since the update 🤧🤧 i made both of my sims (enisa (bestselling author already, thank you) and michael (aspiring doctor)) go to university and bro it takes so long 😭😭 and you can‘t do anything else if you want them to do well so literally the last three times i played sims i was just constantly clicking their homework and computerd to write their assignments (i play it in german so idk what its called on the sims) and do their presentations and do them all over again so that they get better or whatever for HOURS, but imma play again soon

so one of the pieces i have in the works is a bakugou x f!reader cheer squad au, and god i’m just thinking about how much context i would need to include before getting to the good parts

like i’m thinking that it’ll have to be multi-part to fully create all of the necessary emotion & tension between the two (i don’t wanna say too much bc i don’t wanna give the general gist of it away), but like.. imma have to really sit and write out a bunch of scenes at practice or competitions to fully flesh out the kind of dynamic i want the two to have. i hope that makes sense hehe

it’s the culmination of months of reader and levi’s pent up feelings towards each other, and levi’s just so enamored by the reader that... UGH i love this scene. like he’s so fixated by you that merely looking at you puts him in a trance

7. What do you think are the characteristics of your personal writing style? Would others agree?

i kinda referenced this somewhere else earlier today, but my personal writing style is so heavily influenced by my major - i’m a journalism major, and for four years i’ve been writing mainly in subject + verb and without oxford commas. 

i mean, there’s nothing wrong with s+v but it does get boring and repetitive, especially in creative writing. the aim journalistic writing is to make it as accessible for everyone everywhere so that readers can understand the gist of the news quickly and accurately; it’s been kind of hard for me to snap out of that when i try to write more descriptively or creatively. 

i also find myself gravitating towards longer/run-on sentences. i feel like others would agree, even reading this/my past works, my sentences feel very repetitive and have similar structures... but i’m trying to improve!!

9. Are you more of a drabble or a longfic kind of writer? Pantser or plotter? Do you wish you were the other?

definitely more of a longfic writer than a drabble one, plotter more than a pantser (unless what i’m writing is something i thought of and have to get out right away).

i really wish i could write drabbles but it’s SO so hard for me to write short - which is fucking bad of me considering all my journo profs would tell us to write short HAHA

i always just want to describe the context and setting ya know? idk. i enjoy context though i also do enjoy getting right into the scene

i’m more of a plotter, generally speaking, because i procrastinate on my writing so much that if i don’t plan out my writing, i’ll forget my idea altogether 💀

11. What do you envy in other writers?

i follow so many talented writers and i always always envy their word choices or variety in their sentence structures. i mainly look for things that i think i lack in my own writing, so i guess this makes sense
