Tell me ur crochet plan!!!!!

!!! IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!

So I wanted a Cas plush doll because it's super cute, like the q pals plush, but I decided that instead of buying it, I wanted to make one myself.

I bought some cotton yarn from the craft store for each color of the doll. Peach for the head and hands, white for his shirt, blue for the tie, brown for his pants and hair, tan for the trench coat, black for his shoes, and a grey and white transition yarn for the wings. I already started on the head as shown in the photo. The head is huge right now and it's not even finished lol, so I suspect the end result will be huge. The pattern I'm following didn't have a recommended yarn size, so I bought size 4 yarn and I'm using a 3mm crochet hook, which apparently is huge in comparison to the pattern's dolls.

I'm following a crochet base doll pattern from Haviknittoys Etsy shop and the coat pattern from PaprikaCrochetToy Etsy shop.

I made a BEAUTIFUL rendition of what it should look like by the end. I plan to crochet the head with the peach yarn and switch to white for the shirt, black in the middle for a few rounds for the belt, brown for the pants, and black for the shoes. Then I will crochet the hair, coat, tie, and wings separately and attach them after. I'm not sure yet what I will use to make the face, I may use either black buttons or yarn for the eyes. For the hair, right now I plan to follow this tutorial for male hair, since it seems the closest and easy to manipulate to look how I want.

It's going well so far, hopefully I don't lose interest bc I really want to finish this and share the result. Thank you so much for the ask, I hope this was sufficient<333 MWAH

Re ur tags about worrying about having the perfect snippet for wip Wednesday/weekend: 1. Totally absolutely feel that, but 2. I literally posted a snippet the other day and realized I had straight up written the scene wrong based on my outline and realized I was gonna have to rewrite that but literally a minute after hitting post. Which DID feel very shitty, except then I realized that if the fic changes between the snippets I write and what actually gets posted, that means people get a glimpse into what some of the editing/revising process entails, which I also think is really cool!

Anyway, obviously it's still hard and scary to put raw/unfinished writing up on the internet for everyone to see, but at least for me I know I'm never expecting polished sentences from wip snippets, and part of what I enjoy about then is getting to see people in the process of creation, which is always gonna be a little messy!

that’s something I’ve been scared off because some of the fics are so messy and discombobulated right now I’m not sure if anything will stay the same. But like you I don’t except anything polished or like a special scene from wip wednesday/weekends I’m just excited about people writing in general and I do love seeing the small little glances whatever they are. I think I just need to remember that these aren’t like previews or supposed to reflect the entire fic but literally just motivation
