the other thing that I am struggling to manage is that the weight of the knowledge that in some deep, profound, irreparable and irrevocable way, I will not have the life that I want, that pieces of this experience that I would once lay awake at night imagining, over which I would agonize, are not and were never open to me, is making all the things I have used to distract myself from that less interesting to me

I don't want these stupid fancy books anymore, I don't want these stupid models, I don't want these stupid old army gadgets or these useless old guns or almost anything at all, I take up far too much space as it is, the money all those things soak up could go almost anywhere

I can't have what I really want, I have run out of ideas how to get it, and I don't want anything else

From the book Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD:

Putting a coat on the back of a chair by the door is fine, but if you prefer, use coat hooks and a large catch-all basket for dropping keys, hats, gloves.

Small bookcase end-table next to the couch to store craft projects, books, and other things being worked on for easy access.

Add a storage unit near the dining room table to transition between eating and working there.

Daily toiletry items should be stored in a basket that you can move easily

Extra toiletries and medicine cabinet items go in open shelf/basket storage so they can be seen and used easily. If items no longer fit, purge the excess. Don't obscure the view!

If you disrobe in the bathroom, place a tall hamper in there.

Keep a set of cleaning supplies in each bathroom

I'm a cryptid in Stardew valley. I live on the outskirts of town. I disappear for days on end, purchasing daily one-way tickets to the calico desert. Nobody knows where I go while I'm there. Can occasionally be found fishing at random spots throughout town. I am never not running on at least one triple shot espresso. I take the abandoned minecarts to get around and am frequently seen disappearing into the sewers. I carry a sword for some reason. Once every week or two I will stride into your bedroom to deliver you your favorite meal. I'm a self-made millionaire. I attend all the town events and will go to your concert in the next town over. I have donated approximately 2583 items to the local museum and singlehandedly revitalized the town community center. There are rumors I can talk to junimos. I'm friends with the local wizard
