Impromptu Pacifica date night uwu

Aaaaahhhhh but fr I am... on the floor sobbing about finally having a pinky fingers holding screenshot of them 😭😭 early on in their relationship that is the only amount of PDA Vince is comfortable with, and it becomes their thing so much and asdgndnsnfrnnmdf I'm so normal about pixel men I swear.

Also, Kerry in his normal in game outfit for a change, and for a reason! Early on when they're only just freshly dating and in the "what are we even"-stage of their relationship, Phantom Liberty takes place on the side for my timeline for Vince. So for Vince it's a constant back and forth between creepy spythriller and unhinged aging rockstar shenanigans. On top, and based a little on one of V's lines during "I really wanna stay at your house" ("let's talk a bit more before I gotta be somewhere again"), I figure it is super hard for them sometimes to just meet up (also Vince is a workaholic on top of the whole dying stuff, he is always super busy - and so is Kerry working on his new album but also still fighting with his depression). And so a lot of their dates during that time go like so...

Vince (at an ungodly hour): You awake?

Kerry: Yeah, what's up?

Vince: I'm in Pacifica at the pier.

Kerry: omw!

And then they just hang out and talk for a few hours about what's going on. Or go somewhere else together for coffee, or drive to the Badlands to look for adventures and a getaway from their problems and negative thoughts together. Those experiences are what really really makes them fall in love with the other for good and for the long run.

is it alright for me to ask how you draw your characters' faces from the side view? i always liked how you drew them in a good mix of stylistic and realistic way

here's some quick notes i threw together! disclaimer as always: i'm not a professional, these notes are just personal habits, and i make anatomical errors Extremely Often because 100% of what i draw is based on vibes. i think as you get more comfortable you'll figure out what "art/anatomy rules" you're OK with bending/breaking. that's style baby!!

bottom drawing is the top half duped and a little cleaned up and tweaked for fun. hope that helped (at least a little...!!)

Annual reminder that Aang wasn't a terrible dad, that one episode was badly written and had poor perspective. Aang was a busy, working dad who had a lot of stuff to do, and then suddenly his third kid was a full-on Airbender and he was literally the only one qualified to teach this baby, so then he finally had an excuse to put his family before his duties ("My family IS my duty now, suckers!!!"), and so Kya and Bumi were all "What the heck, Dad???" because they were now teens (iirc) and they missed out on all that stuff.

It was basically Aang going from "my family has 20% of my time" to "my family has 40% of my time". Still not enough, probably, but Aang could finally go and explore his own culture without feeling guilty about leaving the rest of the world to fend for itself.

Still tryin to brainstorm some comic stuff so I decided a good start would be to get some character refs (since that's basically the same way I started my s/pyro comic)

Didn't really change vaati or link too much, link's entirely the same in fact, and I just slicked up vaati's cloak design

thinkin' that a daytime lighting overhaul is next up on the list of sunblind edits

^ this is what it looks like at 12pm w/ sunblind currently and it's perfectly fine for some worlds (sulani/oasis springs/strangervile, etc) but it just looks really off in others

^ this is closer to what i'm going for, i think the shadows could stand to be a lil more saturated though. also it's way too bright in the winter time with snow. like. sunblind is already too bright with snow and that's an edit i have to make no matter what 🤔 i'm thinking about just making winter days much darker for worlds that can get snow which sucks a little but....dang winter is literally blinding at the moment

this is what 12pm looks like with a much darker day + snow which isn't too bad!! it's just really hard to commit to a change like this because it's so time consuming to update but 😔 that's just how it is
