Glimpse of a Lifetime
After years of working for the Waynes, age is finally catching up with the butler. Alfred begins to forget important things. Including those he love with all his heart.
It started with small things: from forgetting to feed the animals to waking up in the middle of the night and forgetting it after a few minutes. Alfred was aware that something was up, but he brushed it off.
However, the situation begins to escalate when he starts to forget the names of the children in the mansion one by one, and although he tries to cover it up, they all start to notice.
At the beginning, he and the other inhabitants of the manor look for excuses: a villain attack, mind control, a weapon that erases memory, etc. But when each one of Bruce's kid goes through a different experience they begin to accept reality: There is no doubt, Alfred is sick.
Unlike the others, Bruce refuses to accept that there is no cure for the disease and seeks every possible option. When he is about to give up he stumbles with an ancient legend: The Yeti.
A legend that talks about the old days, where there was a friendly Yeti who was able to cure any disease. And it may be his last hope. X

Ok hear me out, what about moon god s/o x Poseidon, its been itching my mind cause of the sea x moon troupe.
What i imagine is, s/o being a powerful god like nyx but rarely appears so only a few gods know or saw them so Poseidon became curious about this mysterious (beautiful) god. Feel free to add more about this!! im just really craving for someone to write this 🥹
Uhhh I like this concept a lot!! I tried to keep the reader's gender kinda neutral, I hope it's fine^^ btw I really enjoyed writing this!
word count: 1.2k
Tumblr media
Poseidon often found himself staring at the moon. He couldn't really explain why he would do that - not that anybody would dare asking the God of the Sea what he was doing. Unbothered, Poseidon would stand silenty on the ivory balcony, looking up to that apparently endless sky. Even for someone like him that domain appeared far and full of mystery.
It was a dark night, its only beam being the peaceful and perlescent light emanated by the sleeping moon. He was once told that a god inhabited the moon, far from all other living beings. It wasn't known the reason why the deity ended up there, observing humankind from the satellite. Some believed they refused to get involved with human affairs and chose to live as a hermit instead; others claimed the god was exiled and was cursed to live on their own, bound to live in loneliness; some believed that god to have died long ago, the moonlight being their only inheritance, the memento of a god who existed no more, the reminder of a otherwise forgotten past.
Poseidon, everytime he would look at the moon, would wonder the real story behind it. None of the moon goddesses he knew could give him a response, despite asking themselves the same question - with whom were they sharing their moon? A god, a ghost or nothing at all?
Not knowing made the God of the Sea restless. He wasn't supposed to be this ignorant - it was his duty and right to know the truth. Yet, all he knew didn't make sense to him at all. He couldn't find a reason why a god would choose to abandon their place a seek shelter on the moon; if a deity was trapped on the moon, he would have surely heard of it somehow. It wouldn't have been just a rumour; lastly, gods weren't meant to die, it wasn't their nature. They didn't have an expire date nor any time limits, so it was impossible to begin with. If there really were someone looking down on him from the moon, Poseidon would discover it.
Poseidon spent that whole night reading books and looking for information regarding the legends surrounding that mysterious and mystical figure. There weren't many references and he couldn't even find the name of that god, yet there were reported some events which most likely involved them. A beautiful deity whose melancholic face was reflected on the moon on certain nights, someone wearing a silvery armor while riding a shining chariot across the sky. Also, a powerful god who could conceal the sun and the earth. A god capable of moving the stars and making humans into constellations. A god who could flex the tides to their own amusement - which meant disturbing the God of the Sea too - the moon phases and the sea had always been strictly connected to one another, but the thought of someone directly interefering had never crossed his mind. An ancient deity whose name had been long forgotten and all traces canceled, no statues nor temples left, their believers long dead and turned to ashes.
Poseidon was intrigued to say the least. He couldn't recall even if tried the last time he had felt so interested in someone - maybe last time was when he recognised Hades as his brother thousands of years before? He didn't remember anymore, and it didn't really matter to him neither.
Tumblr media
Rumours spreaded fast across the Heavens. It was a matter of days before everybody knew what the lonesome Poseidon was looking for, yet nobody dared approaching him nor suggesting him the information that could have helped him reach his objective. Yet, everybody was curious as to why he was interested in that legend in the first place. Poseidon was used to those lower deities' gossips, so he didn't pay them much care, they were nothing more than a bother and wasn't expecting them to act some other way. He was more interested in what certain gods had to say.
Zeus, despite his prestige, knew no more than him but reccomended talking with the goddess Nyx, whom he was afraid of, much more ancient than he was. Hades and Hermes agreed with Zeus and added some rumours that had been circulating for ages in the Underworld regarding a moon deity who lead the souls of the dead to Hades' domain. Beelzebub clearly remembered studying moon's phenoma and seeing that legendary face. They didn't ask him the reason why he was looking for the god. He wouldn't have answered anyway. Without a single word, he left, approaching his next destination, the goddess all gods feared: Nyx.
He respected the goddess, recognising her value and strenght, but didn't understand the reason why even the almighty Zeus feared - he could only suppose it must have been because of one of his many affairs that didn't end the way Zeus imagined. Poseidon didn't have anything to do with that though, therefore had no reason to fear her.
Nyx knew it all, the story of the human who ascended to the skies and then flew even higher above. That god's name was (Y/n), the vagabond of the stars, the hermit who found a home in the dim light of the moon. Poseidon was satisfied by the answers he had finally found - and a way to reach the moon itself. He was close to his goal.
Tumblr media
He had finally landed on the moon. Poseidon had never been there before. It was the first time he got to see the sea he ruled from that perspective. It was a foreign feeling to him. He could almost understand the reason why humans tried so hard to leave Earth and reach the space - it was undescribable. He couldn't even blame (Y/n) for hiding in that timeless place. Poseidon felt as he could touch the stars if he only wanted to. And he was just about to do it, if only a sudden voice hadn't interrupted him.
"I've heard someone was looking for me. I don't receive many guests, so I suppose you must be that person." it was quite, almost a whisper. It didn't surprise Poseidon. (T/n) mustn't have had someone to talk to in a long time.
"You are Poseidon, aren't you? You often stare at the moon, I noticed it." a voice comparable to the music of the spheres, the musica universalis, the harmony between the celestial bodies.
(Y/n) seemed to have no material consistence, one with the stars and the deep blue sky surround them, floating on the ground, detached from the earthly beings. Poseidon almost felt unworthy of being before someone surrounded by such a, otherwordly aura, belonging to a different dimension. On the other hand, he was attracted by that holy creature.
"You are welcome here, God of the Seas." almost as if they had read his mind, (Y/n) reassured him "We all belong to the moon, all beings are made of the same stardust. There are no differences between us."
For once, Poseidon, enchanted and bewitched, couldn't reply. He was part of that symphony too - he could feel it resonating deep into his bones.
The everlasting sea below him, the everlasting stars above him. Poseidon felt whole for the first time in his equally everlasting life.

Hello!!! I hope you're doing well!! I would like to request cybertronian! Reader with like four arms and that's like the Queen or King of the battlefield in ancient Cybertron history (example: reader was the strongest Autobot ever in history and there's ancient data about reader and photos too ykyk what I'm getting👍🙏😭) and the reader then got summoned by Megatron or idk at that point but you can choose what happens!! :33 I hope this isn't too much😭
OH MY!!! I LOVE THIS!!! but reader is an autobot in this, please tell me if you want to see an decepticon version. You are a head taller than Megatron in this.
---------------------------------
You remembered everything about how you got killed, the crying before you lost your hearing, the optics looking in horror how the strongest autobot is about to die. Now? Nobody has any idea what happened, your body vanished before they started looking for it. Optimus carried your legacy as the one and last prime. He was your friend, but you didn't get to be friends that long. Since he was made so late and you met 10 years before the war started. It felt like you woke up immediately you fell down. Where am I? you think, but soon enough you hear a voice you recongize. Megatron. "The legend is real! Y/N! I have summoned you to help us decepticons to bring Cybertron back to life and rise as the Queen/King of the battlefields like you used to be!" used to? Used to?! "Since when I wasn't the Queen/King of the battlefields? And what do you mean summoned?" I put my upper hands on my waist and lower ones crossed. "You have been offline for quite a while, Y/N. Join us since I don't want to destroy such a fighter." What is he talking about? Before you could answer a spacebridge appeared. Well it's a groundbridge but you don't need to know that yet. Through the groundbridge walks Optimus Prime himself! "Orion?!" "OPTIMUS!" Both you and Megatron yelled. "Y/N DESTROY HIM!" Did he just order me around, used-to-be-low-level mech just ordered me around?! "Are you! GIVING ME! THE QUEEN/KING OF THE BATTLEFIELDS, ORDERS?" I jumped to attack Megatron, he dodged. Another swing and a hit aswell. Punching again, Megatron catched my servo, but is definitely struggling against all my strength. I almost forgot! I have four hands! You thought as you go and punch Megatron into his 'stomach'. You pick him up and throw him to the nearest cliff you see. "Y/n? It can't be." That low voice..turning around you look at the red n' blue mech. "Optimus?"
Optimus Prime
He missed you so much! So so so so much! No matter how emotionless he can be he definitely hugged you either at the spot where you two reunited or back at the base.
Before you were summoned and revived he used to look through your files. He always stared at the picture, trying to remember how you looked when he would do something smart or help them with something.
He would try (keyword! try) to spar with you as training, but he lost usually. (Much to his shock, he did think he was good at fighting.)
Would let you go alone to a mission (HOW) and lets you have fun with the kids every now and then.
He need help? You're there. He's losing to Megs? You're there to beat some decepticon aft.
He loves your four hands, anytime he would be hurt or just needs support all your hands would around him hugging him gently.
Ratchet
But in the battlefield? Oh oh I'm glad you asked. He doesn't know if he should be scared or proud to see you back in action. He is glad about that you would save him no matter what comes against.
Tumblr media
He had heard about you when Cybertron still had life on it's surface.
He never believed you're real, until the moment he sees you.
Four arms!? He had to check them out (for science research of course) and see how they work, because he's a medic!
Anytime you would get wounded he's rushing over to you.
He would be against it that you would go on the battlefield. You ALWAYS have to confront him that you hold the title queen/king of the battlefield.
He does like how nice and helpful you are. Since you're the queen/king of the battlefield he didn't think you would be nice and help him around the lab.
If he needs an substitute for work when he needs rest you would take his place immediately for his sake.
Tumblr media
Bumblebee
He would be a little scared of you since you beat Megatron so easily.
The moment you prove you wouldn't hurt any of the team he would be your son from now on.
You two always had each others backs.
He would love clinging on to one of your four arms.
He has any form of a problem? Don't worry you already know about it and you'll solve it.
If he would ever get hurt you would show the enemy why you hold the title as the queen/king of the battlefield
Before you arrived he used to read some datapads about you which he got from Optimus.
He would ask you to teach him how to fight.
Tumblr media
Arcee
She would be amazed by the amount of arms you have, but won't show it until she trusts you.
Would trust you the moment you beat Megatrons aft in front of her optics, because none of the cons would dare to even poke him.
She would be grateful that you saved her and others in the Battlefield.
Would be surprised to find some old files of you and would be more shocked to read them.
You both are badass in Jack's opinion.
Since you know how awful it's to lose a partner in the team you won't question her or how untrusting she is.
If she would get hurt in the middle of a fight you would carry her with one of your hands and fight others.
Tumblr media
Bulkhead
He would admire you and your strength. You just beat Megatron with ease!
He had heard rumours about someone like you when he was a wrecker back in Cybertron, but never believed them until now.
He always wants to go in battles with you to see how ruthless is the queen/king of the battlefields.
He was in trouble and cornered by vehicons in a energon mine? Those vehicons looked like they belonged in a scrapyard after you attacked them.
He would be a fanboy with wheeljack and praise the ground you walk on.
Training? Hell yea he would be in. Until he loses every single time.
Tumblr media
Wheeljack
Oh oh don't even get me started!
Would hate you, but love your fighting style at the same time.
"pshh, show off." Could be heard anytime you and him were in the battlefield the same time.
You did start to grow on him. Suddenly you weren't so bad in fighting, suddenly you weren't such a show off, suddenly he seemed to like your presence.
Now? You two are the destructive duo.
Ratchet would be worried about you more than wheeljack.
"ouch, that just broke my spark docbot." He was definitely kicked in his aft after that.
He would go on drives with you so he could get to know you better. (Surprisingly since he's such a loner)
Tumblr media
Smokescreen
He would run over to you the moment you walk into the base.
"YOU'RE REAL?!" apparently he has read about you before.
You wouldn't have any privacy for a week since he's like a golden retriever who clings to you 24/7
He would be flabbergasped how somebots in the team didn't trust you yet. "They're the strongest Autobot in history! Let's keep them, pleeeease!"
Like I said already. He's such a golden retriever. He needs your attention, he needs you to teach him fighting etc.
Now you're his new mom too! You got two new sons! Yippee i guess?
When he sees you in action, he has star eyes. You know when he talks about it when optimus first uses the star saber? He talks like that but even more excited!
Tumblr media
Ultra Magnus
Has high respect for you, but would hate how reckless you can be with wheeljack.
He would give you a lecture, but it falls through deaf audio receptors.
The moment he sees you in action he would doubt you less.
He knew that you used to exist, well now that you're actually alive he can't help but feel a little bit relieved that the autobots have the upperhand.
If you would call him Sir he would let you off easier.
Was surprised when he lost his hand that you supported him best you can. He didn't think that the queen/king of the battlefields could be so soft.
Denied it when you suggested that he's your adopted grumpy son, since he's always so worried about you. (He is your son now, but doesn't let the team know)
Tumblr media

Things I’ve observed/love about Linked Universe
Sky, my precious beloved Sky, he is the absolute soul of this group, and it’s not in an obvious way, which is what makes it so great. Sky is a quiet, sincere, caring person - he is not an overwhelming presence in the Chain. He looks out for his teammates, he cheers people up (when Legend teases Wind about his mask, Sky pipes in with “I think it’s cool,” to cheer him up), as soon as someone is hurt Sky is literally the first person to help them. E.g. when Time is hurt, Sky goes to him first. When Wild is hurt, Sky helps protect him and Wind. When Twilight is hurt, Sky helps Warriors protect him. He tries to reassure Twilight that the attack wasn’t his fault when they’re ambushed, he takes the heat away from Legend’s Pink Hair Disaster when Warriors and Hyrule tease him about being slow (which has to sting given his journey, but he doesn’t show it, he just rolls with the punches). He’s always seemingly in the background but he is always present, always piping up or hopping in when someone seems to need help, and I love that for him. He’s the first hero, the original, the one who started it all, and it’s just perfect that he looks out for everyone in his quiet manner. I’d love for a story where Sky is hurt or goes missing and the Chain suddenly realizes how much warmth he brought to the group now that he isn’t there. Or I’d love to see the Chain realize that this fluffy bird loving sleepyhead actually has a core of molten magma and is a feral god slaying sass master. Characters who are capable of destroying worlds but choose to be kind, sweet, and unassuming instead are just my favorite.
Time, I love how he’s obviously the leader of the group but I can 100% guarantee it was not something he actually decided, he just started doing his thing and is used to traveling on his own and making decisions (as Jojo pointed out, he’s used to being decisive because he’s dealt with time travel) and the entire Chain just silently agreed “he’s ancient and acts like he knows what he’s doing, he’s the leader.” Time probably didn’t even realize it until a few weeks into their journey and was like “crap when I did become the Dad how do I deal with eight insane children.”
Twilight, Lord, where do I even start with this ranch hand, his protectiveness and Big Brother Energy is everything. Also, he is awesome as a wolf, and after seeing how he was treated as a monster by his loved ones in his game, I understand why he hides his ability from the Chain; poor thing is probably scared they’ll be afraid of him or hate him and that must hurt. I adore his relationship with Wild and with Time, and I really enjoy seeing him look out for his other brothers too, like when he got irritated at Legend for snarking Sky (joke’s on him, Sky is the King of Sass). He is so eager to prove himself to Time it hurts. I hope he doesn’t die. T_T HE CAN’T DIE, JOJO, HE’S AN OLD WOLF WHEN HE HELPS WILD, DON’T CAUSE A PARADOX DANG IT.
Legend truly is a legend, like he is so amazing and layered. I love his sassy defensive shell, I love how he is both Tired of adventuring but couldn’t imagine not doing it, like this kid is clearly hooked to adventuring (as much as I love the fancition about him being like NOPE when the Chain initially finds him, I 100% believe he’d actually be exasperatedly saying “this would happen, wouldn’t it” but secretly be pretty intrigued/excited at the prospect), he’s just traumatized from the whole Marin situation. I also love how he steps in as de facto leader to protect his family when Time, Warriors, and Twilight aren’t there. And one of my favorite moments with Legend was when Wild got hurt and Legend was immediately like OMG HE’S DEAD like chill, honey, Legend is such a drama queen. XD
Hyrule is such a precious bean and I want to hug him so badly like oh you sweet child why do you think little of yourself SOMEONE SHOWER THIS BOY IN PRAISES AND ACCOLADES. I also find it interesting how he has this duality to him, like he looks at the others and says “I’m not a hero like you guys” but when surrounded by enemies he just smiles maniacally and says “TIME TO BURN EVERYTHING” like... guys, Wild isn’t the arsonist of this group, Hyrule is.
Wild is wonderful in all his angst, but my favorite aspect of him is when he gets to be a goof and show his, well, wild side. Him and Hyrule are such an underrated pair, like we need more of their insane gremlin energy together. Send them into a cave and see what happens, Time, just don’t be surprised when the whole mountain shudders and collapses on top of them because Wild set off too many bombs and Hyrule swore the exit was this way but maybe it actually wasn’t. (Twilight had to go digging through the rubble and was not happy while Sky paces frantically at the camp being held back by Legend, who is saying stop being an idiot, Wolfie will find him you don’t have the stamina to dig through an entire mountain and Time is just sitting in a corner silently fuming and waiting to give Wild and Hyrule The Look when they get back while Warriors takes charge of the group because Time can’t be bothered with this BS for the rest of the night)
Warriors I honestly love his charisma and he definitely hides a lot of hurt and trauma under it. Like he’s a soldier, he’s fought in a giant war, clearly he’s going to have baggage, but unlike others (Legend or Wild) who make it obvious, he just acts as the teasing or caring big brother and handles it like a somewhat functional adult, which, as much as I love angst, is a nice change. I’d be interested to see his experiences get addressed at some point, but in the meantime, you keep being a seemingly stable rock for others to lean on, Warriors. *salutes* Also I love how affectionate and loving he is with the youngest heroes like Hyrule and Wind.
Wind just has so much energy to him, he is a delight. So cute, never let your little light stop shining, kiddo. He has a lot of heart and determination, and I love that he is competent and really doesn’t need the amount of babysitting the others try to force on him, but he is still very much a kid. Like unlike Time, who was likely a very quiet, solitary, and mature kid after his adventure, Wind is just so boisterous and has that childlike energy, but it doesn’t detract from the fact that he is still a good fighter.
EDIT! Four is definitely the one I know the least about, but I’ve been looking into him some more and noticed that he is someone who is a mature person and I feel like he wants to prove that he is an adult - like he’s go ta natural maturity to him but he gets offended easily when called a kid by an elder. He’s patient with younger heroes, loves to tell stories (don’t tell me he doesn’t, he was being super dramatic in telling his octorok story), but my favorite thing about him is that the reason he is so even keeled is because the poor kid has FOUR PEOPLE SCREAMING in his head at any given time. Like yeah, I’d be the zen person in the corner constantly meditating too if I had to deal with that. He’s also very observant, he figured out Twilight’s secret before almost anybody else. My favorite thing about him is that the instant he split, Red started having a complete meltdown even though the entire point was to prevent Wild from having a meltdown over the same thing. I can’t stop laughing at that comic, honestly. I think Four has spent this entire journey just watching the others with a running commentary in his head and I really need someone to write that, like imagine when Wild got hurt and it goes something like:
Red: Oh no! He’s hurt, we have to help him!
Green: The Sailor and Sky have him! We have to focus!
Blue: HAHA WHAT A MORON, GET WHAT YOU DESERVE FOR BREAKING SO MANY SWORDS, DUMBASS
Vio: This isn’t productive, we need to focus--
Blue: MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUST USE YOURSELF AS A SHIELD MORE OFTEN SO YOU DON’T BREAK THOSE TOO
Vio: BLUE FOR THE LOVE OF HYLIA
Red: OMG THE CHAMPION IS GONNA DIE
Green: *sighs* We’re screwed.

The ask from yesterday but let's substitute Frank for Duke! 😘
Tumblr media
Duke did not love Tommy's appointment. We know the Miller brothers are good, loyal guys, but Duke's perspective is that these two relatively untested men had just assumed incredibly high positions of power. He knew Joel was still hung up on the past, and he worried that the two brothers would be more loyal to each other than to Tess.
Further, he'd had some months to prepare and come to know Joel, but he knew very little about Tommy. He didn't know if Tommy was even up to it. Chapter 22 explains further why Duke has good cause to be distrustful of people who might seek to manipulate and control Tess.
All the guys in the biz thought Duke was a legend. He had rock star status and they'd all heard cool stories about his amazing feats and inimitable style. So not having his approval kind of sucks, but Tommy believes in himself, puts his head down, and gets on with doing what he does well.
Joel tried to keep them apart in the beginning, anticipating conflict or just Duke saying something cutting that might rattle Tommy's confidence. One day, as Joel is trying to arrange things so they don't cross paths, Tommy loudly says, “I don't give a shit what he thinks of me, Joel! Don't I work for Tess? How come he got you so scared?” And Duke overhears, thinks that's hilarious, and it slowly breaks the ice.
After that, Tommy and Duke occasionally met for drinks and Duke imparted a little helpful knowledge that a good 2IC needs to know to support the principal bodyguard in Tess's employ. Tommy knew how to make him laugh.
His relationship with Maria was friendly and warm. He affectionately referred to her by her last name as a mark of respect. He did not like Winston. He called him a “boring old fart” mainly because he played golf, which Duke had an irrational aversion to. He was very fond of Kevin.
As for them getting together… Duke just rolled his eyes by that point. Told Tess she should put her foot down because of how awkward it would get when it went south she'd have to choose one, and the logical answer was Maria but then she'd piss off “your beau” if she didn't choose Tommy, blah blah. Tess would remind him of Glynis. Duke would tell her to mind her own business, that's ancient history.
So basically he was the grouchy voice of reason.

I just wish I had someone who appreciated my original fiction the way I do. Someone, just 1 person, who would read my own universes and be inspired and want to partake in them and their lore. A single person to read what I make up from my own mind, and appreciate the effort I put into it genuinely and wholely. Instead, it's just my fanfiction, which I don't really write much of, that garners attention. Every piece that takes place in established universes, gets way more likes and reads and attention, versus what I pour my entire heart and soul and life essence into coming up with all on my own, which gets none ever at all. It doesn't matter if I tag and reblog the story 50 times, all 50 notes are from my reblogs and not 1 person even gave it a like. I've paid for advertising my books on multiple platforms. I've shared everything I've ever written as a rough draft for free on my pages so people can get interested in the final product. But no one even looks at those ads, or at the free 5,000+ word stories I write, let alone buys anything from me... I'm seriously pissed... My original ideas are creative, unique, and epic. And nobody cares.
Want to read about the legends of gigantic robots the size of mountains, which were piloted by people who, when they died, they'd lay down in empty fields in their mechs and pass peacefully as nature grew over the mech and turned it into an actual mountain? Go read my dream of the Titan Mechs, then.
What about a man who loves another man he can't remember? And every day the two meet by chance, one angry that he keeps crossing paths with someone not of his realm, and the other frustrated he can't remember this man at all but has a connection to him? And they search for a way to remain in each other's hearts and minds across dimensions that won't allow for such a romance as theirs to prevail? Go read Forgotten Magick, then.
What about sentient robots called Kydons whose queen forged a sword long ago that could control all technology anywhere in the world, and when she died, she hid the blade where nobody could reach it for fear that someone would use it to end her world? And Humankind rises up to find that blade believing the spearhead of the hunt will build something great for Earth with it, only for one Human to find out that spearhead is planning to ruin both Earth and Antu'rok and all life to rebuild everything in his image as the one ruler? So that single Human who found this out must betray his people and find the sword with the help of the Kydons to get it before the spearhead does? Go read my excerpt for Golden Horizons, then.
Are you curious to see how a single man serving Death goes on to become a god of all things good and righteous by inheriting the power of an ancient god who he freed from control of a wicked warlord and then, with said powers, kills to free the universe from falling into an empire of wrath? Go read Ascending Death, then.
Maybe you'd be interested in a universe where the world is made from four giants, all of whom embody a single trait, and when one giant chooses to make Humans, Death, in a jealous rage, casts a plague upon them all in attempt to end them, and one lone Human goes on a quest to find Death and beg for a cure? Go read A Means to an End, then.
Perhaps you'd like a world where Dwarves and Humans once existed, but the Dwarven mines collapsed and all Humans thought Dwarves to be extinct? And for centuries, the stories and evidence of Dwarves faded out until they were nothing but legend? But one Human man is determined to prove the existence of Dwarves, and find out if any are alive still or not? Go read the story of The Forgemasters, then.
And I have infinite more universes to look into, if you're ever curious. I'm always coming up with more and more of them, by the day. Please, support a small original fiction author, and, even if none of these appeal to you, go ahead and share because you never know who might just be interested!

One last note on worldbuilding issues.
If there's a threat of assassination pushing Hellborns to reproduce why is Charlie an only child? Like I remember reading that Lilith can't have kids except in a few weird specific legends where she mothers the succubi or has a kid with Asmodeus in Abrahamic lore but i will need to double check but if that's what Vivziepop is going with that checks out on her end.
But Lucifer in pop culture is meant to be hot and this stems from ancient people trying to decide if Lucifer after he was cast out if god would punish him by taking his beauty or if his beauty remained and that's how he tempts people. The issue with the latter and a source of debate was why would god allow Lucifer to tempt people easily and not punish him?
Lucifer is also seen as a root of all sin if you don't count the forbidden fruit and would probably cause people to violate the 10 commandments.
Like I can't see Lucifer no matter how much he loves Lilith being loyal to her. Like it doesn't make sense for a being who lost everything because if his refusal to accept humanity to have similiar morals especially when he is surrounded by the worst of it for all eternity. Why would Lucifer choose to uphold any of the commandments written by his father and not cheat on Lilith.
Also if Lucifer needs a backup heir in case Charlie dies, is a disappointment or to forge alliances he has an option.
I am still confused about Viv saying sinners are infertile but Lilith and Lucifer had Charlie? To be fair, maybe they didn't make her naturally and she's a doll but Charlie as far as we know is the biological child of Lilith and Lucifer. Another thing I'm confused about is the assassination of royalty Hellborns. I might be nickpicky here but why can angelic weapons kill royalty Hellborns too? Those weapons should only kill sinners because they were tailored for them. I'm having a hard time believing angelic weapons can kill royalty Hellborns too when they are a different rank from sinners and have some sorta of magic power and blood type that would make it hard to kill them with an angelic weapons meant to kill the average sinner. Plus why would Heaven even need weapons to kill royalty Hellborns? As far as we know royalty Hellborns just stay in Hell and only cause chaos in Hell. Also why is there a Hell supply of angelic weapons and who is suppling them? Even if the Arc Goatias are keeping and suppling them, how would they even get the angelic weapons in the first place? I doubt the angels they stole them from wouldn't be protective or can be easily kill or harm to steal from either.
Honestly I don't mind Viv's portraying Lucifer as this loyal husband who loves his wife and daughter. I can understand why people will find this portrayal of him annoying and out of character but Viv's Hellaverse is a reimagining of Hell and the character from those religions and she has made it clear she does not plan to stay faithful to the original source material. Lucifer being this guy is the tamest writing sins she was written. At least you can play with the idea and still make it work with Lucifer's character without breaking the lore and worldbuilding. Lucifer can still be this guy who is the root of all sins but now he has somewhat of a soft spot from when he was an angel in Heaven and struggles to keep it a secret. Maybe that's where Charlie get her kindness from and it's a point of conflict for Lucifer. He has worked all of his life to be known as the ruler of Hell who is rude and malice to separate himself from his heavenly roots but he will alway have a part of him refused that title because he is still the son of God. Charlie is just a reflection of the angel he once was and it's hard from him to deal with because his daughter is the manifestation of that hidden part of himself and they both are opposite in so many ways. Lucifer wants to keep Hell a punishing place for sinners while Charlie wants it to be a second redemption for them. Lucifer wants to protect Charlie because he knows the reality of who Charlie is, Heaven, and Hell will break her but she isn't ready to listen to her father and believe she has a chance.

Time-Keeper
From Rock, Jayfeather learns that he is a deity more powerful than StarClan... sort of. He is one of many reincarnations. Upon finding the stick Jayfeather is able to use it as device to travel back in time to contact his previous selves.
Note: Unlike in canon where Jayfeather posseses the body of Jay's Wing, instead he is an invisible observer.
Tumblr media
Top Left: Rock
Top Right: Jay Wing (Son of Dove's Wing)
Bottom Left: Jay's Wing (sister of Dove's Wing)
Bottom Right: Jayfeather
Rock
Once an ancient healer of his tribe Rock is an immortal guardian of the tunnels, keeping count of the cats who entered and which have left alive. Not much is known about him. Legend has it that he made a deal with ancient gods to sell part of his soul in exchange for immortality. To mock him the deities put his soul into a gnarled stick. However a tiny piece of his soul has been reincarnated into many cats over time which he can contact through the stick.
Jay's Wing (The First) - Po3 era
The Ancients are allowed to worship any gods or deities of their choosing. Jay's Wing commits his life to the worship of Rock, a deity of time who promises protection to his followers. Upon his best friend Fallen Leave's death the lake starts flooding. The other Ancient Tribes believe this is caused by Jay's Wing's tribe as they are the only ones who carry out the softpaw tunnel trials and have displeased some kind of deity. Jay's Wing learns of the mountains and tries to persuade the others in his tribe to go there for refuge to leave but they refuse. With the help of his sister Dove's Wing and young softpaw Lion's Roar, he tries to persuade the lake tribes to work together. He is hunted down and executed, his sister mourns for him and accepts defeat, changing her name to Half Moon as her tribe leaves the lake.
Jay Wing (The Second) - OotS era
Sometime on the journey and arrival to the mountains Half Moon and Lion's Roar get together and have a son, Jay Wing who they name after their dear friend and brother. The tribe are struggling in the mountains and are considering leaving again. Prompted by Rock, Jayfeather speaks to Jay Wing and with the help of future reincarnations shares the tribe's eagle hunting techniques with him. Jay Wing passes this information onto his reluctant group and the Tribe of Rushing Water thrives. Despite gaining the respect of the tribe he appoints his mother Half Moon as Stoneteller and healer. He leads a pretty uneventful life, dying by throwing himself in front of his newly pregnant mate Quiet Rain and his two young sons to protect them from an eagle attack.
Jayfeather
While searching for herbs near FourTrees, Jayfeather comes across the stick which he uses to contact Rock, a spirit from a faraway lake who tells him more about the phrophcey. Jayfeather is able to travel back in time and speak to Jay's Wing and Jay Wing in their dreams in a pocket dimension. He grows angry at Rock when he tells Jayfeather that if the Three were never born Sol would not have taken over the clans and hinting that if their connection is severed Jayfeather will be the most powerful link of all. Not wanting to be simply a "link", Jayfeather snaps the stick, killing Rock and destroying the link to previous reincarnations and his abilities to dream-walk are improved, he can manipulate the dreams of the cats he chooses to speak to.

American Werewolf In London and Guilt
Ah... where to begin with American Werewolf? I love that film so much, it's humorous, it's gory, it's bizarre at times, and it's got some cracking special effects by the legend Rick Baker.
However, what also enthrals me about American Werewolf is the way it portrays David's guilt. He quite literally has the ghost of his friend, Jack, who didn't make it, haunting him, telling him he should have been the one who died by going on about what a mess his funeral was as well as how miserable limbo is. Jack then goes on to tell David he needs to die. His newfound lycanthropy is going to cause further disaster otherwise. Jack implies David doesn't deserve to live. When David slaughters some more people during his "carnivorous lunar activities," he encounters their ghosts, which too tell him he should do the world a favour and die. You could see the ghosts as sort of a form of David's inner thoughts. More importantly, they're manifestations of his guilt. Jack is the guilt of the survivor, the one who made it, who just happened to make it, while the other ghosts are David's future guilt as a result of future mistakes, which join forces with Jack to haunt David, to demand he join Jack like he should have.
Isolation is also a big theme in American Werewolf. David is literally isolated, an outsider, a tourist in England. His support network and family are back home in America and he can't return until he's fit to travel. He's trapped and surrounded by strangers. Although he does manage to find friendly and romantic company in nurse Alex, he's still alone in an unfamiliar place for the most part. Alex does help David a lot in his recovery, but she also dismisses his distress at first. She only realises the severity of the situation when David almost loses it, harassing a policeman to arrest him, screeching that he's the one who killed the victims in the paper, and when someone else, aka the doctor, tells Alex that there must be something more than trauma messing with David's mind.
David is essentially left to fester with his guilt until it's too late; until the full moon appears. It's an explosion! The breaking point if you will. David's inner beast, inner emotions which he's bottled up and buried in the hopes of getting better faster, come rushing out in this tsunami of blood and violence.
Because, unlike those around were to believe, David is not crying wolf. He's been traumatised, he's in pain, and he needs someone to believe that his dead best friend is a ghost haunting him.
When it reaches that breaking point, only then do people start confirming their suspicions that something's wrong. However, it's too late. David doesn't want help anymore. He's moved on. He's accepted the isolation. The werewolf won, and David, in the final act of the film, has been consumed by his guilt.
I love the final scene where Alex tries to reach out to him. It's an ambiguous one. Everyone has their own interpretation. Some people think it's a part of David surfacing before the beast resumes control and lunges at Alex. Others believe it's David surfacing and remaining, choosing to lunge at Alex so he can be shot, feeling as though he is past the point of no return. Both are valid and I think both feed into the same idea of being consumed by your guilt. Either way, whether the wolf takes over or it's David choosing to be put down, David still dies and he dies pushing someone away because he's afraid for what might become of Alex otherwise. It's the guilt. The guilt of losing his best friend, the guilt of killing those victims, the guilt of remaining alive when the ghosts demand he end it all in the name of preventing further pain and suffering.
The wolf is guilt thriving.
I love a lot of werewolf films, but American Werewolf just does it for me. I always love it when people look at the werewolf as a concept and see something they can do with it to make it their own. Werewolves are such ancient monsters, and they can mean different things to different people. So, yeah, that's my little ramble about American Werewolf.

Venti had lost a wing during an incident and Nameless Bard ran through a storm to get him to safety, making his health turn for the worst in the process
Still, Istaroth, the queen of the fairies was so moved by the lengths the two would go for each other that she lets the Bard visit the forest as much as he wants and gives him her favor
Filo Highschool AU
An entire AU inspired by my own highschool experience in a small school somehwere
The divine beings are part of the staff
Project Fate AU
As an attempt to take control of the Loom of Fate, a group attempts to clone Istaroth, the Master of Time

I take both games' lore and throw them into a blender to create a convoluted concoction
It's almost a sci-fi now
The Nameless AU
A Honkai Star Rail AU where Nameless Bard had been part of the old Astral Express crew before it broke down
The Bard is on the Destruction Path while Venti is on the Harmony Path (and may or may not be one of Xipe's Emanators)
They got separated at some point, and due to some time dilation shenanigans, the Bard ends up a thousand years in the future trying to look for any traces of his old friends
I Sleep When I'm Dead AU
Venti's "slumbers" are actually just him being dead
He comes back to life whenever Mondstadt really needs him

Astrology: What is it? Why is it so misunderstood?
Tumblr media
Astrology can change your life. It did mine. Astrology illuminates the secret corners of the self, provides a key to understanding others, contributes a useful method for scrutinising relationships, and even offers a glimpse into the future. Beyond that, as with all great areas of knowledge, astrology has the power to alter perception. Once you know something about it, you never see the world in the same way again.
Astrology was and will be a field of conflicting views, since its place in the world is not that clear. There are those who accept and believe it, those who reject it as gibberish and nonsense for people of low intellectual capacity, and those who are skeptical and search to understand what really lies behind the veil of mass consumption Astrology. I consider astrology a tool — an objective tool — for understanding self, assessing relationships, examining your potential, and even making some basic decisions.
What can Astrology teach us? The most important thing of all, ourselves! Through our horoscope we can see the positive and negative elements of our personality. Having the knowledge of our attributes, we can work on them and become better people. We can learn the characteristics of the people we keep in our company and understand them, instead of blaming them for what they are. We can decide when is the best time to do something or to avoid something unpleasant. We can also choose to divert the dynamics of an event in a different form.
Astrology above all is a source of self-knowledge. It is a symbolic language that tries to interpret the different aspects of life. This is the reason why there are many fields in Astrology, with differences and similarities among them. There is Natal Astrology, Political Astrology, Karmic Astrology, Draconic Astrology, Esoteric Astrology, Horary Astrology and others, each one is special in its way and worth of study.
Every day, when we finish up reading the articles in newspapers or magazines, we take a peek at the forecasts made for the zodiac signs. Sometimes, we start discussions with people by asking them what their zodiac sign is. There are people who exaggerate and consider Astrology as Magic! There are also skeptical people who wonder how it is possible for the stars to influence someone’s life from so far away. All this happens because Astrology is a misunderstood science. Really, why is this happening?
Legend has it that Sir Isaac Newton, widely considered the greatest genius of all time, may have explored astrology. Newton had a complex, curious mind. In addition to inventing calculus and discovering the universal law of gravity, he was interested in alchemy (the quest to turn ordinary metals into gold), the Bible, and astrology. When his friend Edmund Halley (after whom the comet is named) made a disparaging remark about it, Newton, a conservative Capricorn, shot right back, “Sir, I have studied the subject. You have not.” Or so the story goes.
Like every other astrologer, I like to think that story might be true. After all, astrology has faded in and out of fashion, but it has never lacked followers. Catherine de Medici had Nostradamus as her astrologer, Queen Elizabeth I consulted John Dee, and other astrologers advised Napoleon, George Washington, J. P. Morgan, and Ronald (and Nancy) Reagan. Yet in all that time, no one has provided a satisfying explanation as to why astrology works. Over the centuries, proponents of the ancient art have suggested that gravity must be the motor of astrology . . . or electromagnetism . . . or the metaphysical “law of correspondences.” Carl G. Jung summarized that view when he wrote, “We are born at a given moment, in a given place, and like vintage years of wine, we have the qualities of the year and of the season in which we are born.
I don’t know why astrology works, any more than Sir Isaac did. But I can assure you that it does work. The pattern that the planets made at the moment of your birth — that is, your birth chart or horoscope — describes your tendencies, abilities, challenges, and potential. It doesn’t predict your fate, though it does make some fates more easily achievable than others.
Today most professional astrologers have two theories to profess:
a) The law of "Cause and Effect" The planets, the Sun and the Moon influence us through as-of-yet undetermined cosmic energies. For example, gravity, or the light of the Sun, sent to earth either directly or reflected from the Moon or the planets – such energies might possibly, in theory at least, have some effect on human life, an effect whose “ebb and flow” could be measurable through the planetary positions at the moment of an event, such as a person’s birth. Depending on the place we were born, this energy was imprinted within us, like when scientists take earth or ice samples to find clues on the activity of the period they are investigating.
b) The Esoteric Theory The modern basis of this theory is Carl Gustav Jung’s "Theory of Synchronicity". Though C.G. Jung is normally considered to be the “father” of synchronicity, the idea is in fact hardly a child of the 20th century. Towards the end of the 18th century, the German philosopher Gottfried Leibniz, without the aid of the discoveries of quantum physics, developed a theory which in many respects is almost identical to Jung’s synchronicity, at least as far as that which is of greatest interest to astrologers is concerned. Leibniz called his theory “pre-established Harmony”.
According to this theory, the planets are not seen as “causes” of earthly “effects”, but rather, the cosmos is seen as an “entirety” in which each and every part has an intimate, mysterious relationship to every other part. Any change in one part will always be accompanied by a corresponding change in another part. Yet these changes do not follow each other sequentially in time – such a sequence of events would suggest “cause and effect”. Instead, the changes occur simultaneously (Synchronicity), and thus, do not fit the “cause-effect” model.
WHY ASTROLOGY IS SO MISUNDERSTOOD?
First of all a blame falls on the Media, because they approach Astrology with generalities and platitudes, mostly on television shows or magazines, and in such a way, that any kind of seriousness from a fairly complex system which actually Astrology is, is lost. You underestimate i.e. the Art of Synastry by just saying: "Oh, My dear friend, you are a Leo so you are a perfect match for a Sagittarius"!
Astrology also suffers a lot from its own representatives. Astrologers are presented (and sometimes they do this intentionally) as caricatures. It seems difficult for the everyday man to imagine an Astrologer without fancy clothes and a crystal ball to forecast the future!
Tumblr media
“Anyone can be a millionaire, but to become a billionaire you need an astrologer"  J. P. Morgan
Astrology is not a ‘science’ in the classical sense of the term. It certainly borrows several elements from homologous sciences (i.e. astronomy) but it can’t prove mathematically what it is stated, especially on the subject of forecasts. However, it is neither an ‘art’ because Astrology is based on and moves in parallel line with Science.
Astrology is not a religion to believe in. However, if someone scratches the surface and looks deep underneath, he or she would learn to trust Astrology because it really works! A lot of people are wondering how astrologers are able to know personal things that nobody else knows, by simply looking at their chart!
Let’s set some things straight, Astrology CANNOT tell you the winning numbers for tomorrow’s lottery drawing, but it will help you find an auspicious time to start a business. Astrology cannot tell you with certainty whether you will marry next year or not , especially if you don't want to get married.
Any astrologer who would make predictions concerning the death of another can hardly be considered a serious member of his profession, and should probably be avoided for a number of reasons, one of which is the simple fact that there are so many non-astrological factors which must be taken into account when dealing with such decisive events as is death. In addition, it is ethically irresponsible to make dire predictions which may end up becoming “self-fulfilling prophecies”, though I am aware that such forecasts are made all-too often during astrological consultations.
I will have to underline a hub point of Astrology which is a source of several confusions; forecasts. The future is not preconceived, but we can see its trends and dynamics. An event will come out sooner or later but we can't predict how strong its dynamic will be, we can only suspect, so when we do personal forecasts we always develop a range of possible results. This is why a forecast is a preparation for what is to come, so that we are ready to cope up with the events in a most positive way. When someone wants to consult an astrologer, he or she must be prepared for the fact they probably have a wrong time of birth. In this case, some events will occur in different times than the forecast said. In this case you do not blame the astrologer for being a charlatan!
At this point we observe the following phenomenon: several times when someone has a hard aspect and has difficulties in his life, he acts as if the world is about to be destroyed. If someone reads an article or when he visits an astrologer, he paralyzes when he hears those things that make his life difficult, we can come to the conclusion that he hasn’t worked with his inner self. It's impossible to check his lower self, thus becoming a pawn to the planet which causes difficulties to him or her. Another category of people are those who reject Astrology no matter what they hear, just because it’s not what they wanted to hear. Another category of people is just not ready to accept the prediction they hear.
There is something important you must know; the astrologer is not a clairvoyant nor a magician. Learning Astrology involves countless hours of study, and to write a single prediction requires a lot of time on a computer. The astrologer's familiarity with technology is more than necessary, it is the only way he or she can work.
BUT THE ZODIAC SIGNS DO NOT CORRESPOND TO THE CONSTELLATIONS?
Here comes the confusing part: The signs of the zodiac and the constellations that share their names aren’t the same. The signs are divisions of the ecliptic, each exactly one-twelfth of the total length — 30 degrees. The constellations have nothing to do with the signs.
The signs, the constellations, and the precession of the equinoxes Thousands of years ago, when the Babylonians were establishing the principles of astrology, the constellations and the signs of the zodiac were in alignment. On the Vernal Equinox (the first day of spring), the Sun was “in” the constellation Aries: That is, if you could see the Sun and the stars simultaneously, you’d see the Sun surrounded by the stars of the Ram. In those happy days, the signs and the constellations coincided.
Alas, this is no longer the case. On the Vernal Equinox today, the Sun shows up amidst the (dim) stars of Pisces — a very different kettle indeed. The reason for this shift is that the Earth wobbles on its axis, which traces a circle in space like the spindle of a spinning top. As the axis shifts, the constellations seem to slip backwards. The amount of slippage over a human lifetime is minuscule, but over generations it adds up. As a result, every equinox takes place a little earlier in the zodiac than the one before. This process is called the precession of the equinoxes. It explains why the vernal equinox, which used to occur in the constellation Aries, now takes place in Pisces.
When the equinox moves back even further, to the constellation of the Water Bearer, the Age of Aquarius will officially begin. Astrologers differ about when that will be. Some are convinced that it’s happening now. Others believe that it’s decades — or centuries — away. Eventually, the cycle will begin again. Around the year 23800, the Vernal Equinox will return to Aries, and astrologers will be able to skip this entire explanation. Meanwhile, constellations of the zodiac and the signs of the zodiac aren’t the same.
Skeptics who attack astrology — and for some reason, these wary souls can be amazingly hostile — often point to the changing position of the constellations and the precession of the equinoxes as proof that astrology is bogus. The truth is that astrologers are well aware of this phenomenon. They consider the constellations as signposts and little more. What matters is the division of the ecliptic. The stars, glorious though they are, have nothing to do with your sign.
HOW DOES ASTROLOGY WORKS?
The tool that we have to work with, is the Chart or Horoscope. Depending on what we want to look for, we use the appropriate chart. Through the study of the chart we see our features, our skills, our interaction with others, as well as coming events.
Let’s see some examples of the charts we use in Astrology:
Natal Chart: This is the Basic Chart (the most important) we use. In this chart we can see the person and we can say this is his identity.
Draconic Chart: A chart in which we see the past experience, if we accept the reincarnation theory, or all of our genetic predispositions.
Progressed Chart: A man does not stay stagnant and the same happens in his Chart, where we can see his evolution over time.
Synastry chart: Two people come closer and through the analysis of this chart, we can see whether they can find common ground.
Solar Return chart: The so-called annual chart. This chart is casted on a person’s birthday and provides the trend of the year from his birthday to his next birthday.
Lunar Return chart: The so-called monthly chart. This chart is casted the day Moon returns to the native's natal position. This horoscope shows us the trends of the current month.
Horary Chart: This chart is casted at a specific time to answer a given question.

Tumblr media
AN: Thank you Anon, hope you enjoy! :)
Wyatt Earp
Tumblr media
Wyatt is intense as all holy hell. He seems to attract chaos wherever he goes.
He's a very caring partner, but he can get really caught up in his surroundings. If you feel neglected, he's sure to make up for it somehow.
He is very protective, knowing anyone he cares for is sure to get a target on their back.
He gave you a pistol to assure you handle trouble if it comes your way. And he made a point of teaching you how to shoot it and shoot it well.
He never lets you come with if he has to do something dangerous. He never wants to risk you getting hurt even in the slightest.
He is proud of having you on his arm at social events and nights out, constantly praising you and your accomplishments.
He has an almost supernatural sense of when your in danger and runs to you immediately to make sure everything is okay.
Anyone that dare try to hurt you better run and never show their face in town again, or he will end them.
Virgil Earp
Tumblr media
Even though he is the quiet and reserved type, his love for you is unquestionable.
His love language is definitely physical affection, always holding your hand if you walk together, or draping an arm around your shoulders.
He is very supportive of anything you choose to do and stands by it 100%. He is your defender and never your critic.
If he feels that something you're doing is unwise, he offers his opinion but will back you 100% if you do it anyway.
This boy will take a shotgun blast to the arm and his first words are, "I still have one good arm to hold you with." (Lowkey, always swoon at that part.)
He is loyal to a fault and does the right thing even if it has steep consequences and will stand by your side when you do the same.
He's in it for the long haul and is deeply dedicated to whomever he loves.
Morgan Earp
Tumblr media
100% sweet baby brother who is a little naive and would follow his brothers to the ends of the Earth.
You always worry about him, he assumes the good in people too much and lets his guard down.
But that naive element gives him such a wholesome innocence and sweetness that you are so in love with.
He loves taking you to the theater and is one of the few men you've known to read Shakespeare. He often reads A Midsummer Night's Dream to you while you lay your head in his lap on picnics.
Loves bringing you things: some fresh-picked daisies or just a cool rock he found and thinks you would like.
He legit asked you to marry him the first night you met. Granted, he was a bit sloshed but stands by it. He believes in love at first sight and that's how he has felt about you since.
He loves to run his fingers through your hair and gazes at you adoringly while you talk about your day.
Doc Holliday
Tumblr media
He always makes jokes that you bewitched him and that's why he's so in love with you.
Doc treats you like his partner in crime and at the end of the day, you're the only one who truly knows his plans.
During a severe bout of his TB, he gave you the key to a safety deposit box at a bank in Sante Fe, so that when he passes, you will not have to worry.
He loves to play the piano for you while you lean your head on his shoulder.
While he often jokes about you being a siren that ensnared him, he makes clear in his actions that he loves you truly and deeply.
He has no plans of changing his insane lifestyle and often jokes that your next husband will be the one to settle down with.
Often compares you to Gods/Goddesses from legends of the ancient world and thinks the world of you. He remarks that you were the one thing in his life that seemed too good to be true and actually wasn't.
Curly Bill
Tumblr media
NO. JUST, NO.
Just a giant red flag.
JUST NO.
Johnny Ringo
Tumblr media
Johnny is a sexy red flag. He's devilish and charming. You know you shouldn't but that only makes you want to even more.
He is not the type you could ever settle down with. He tries to play being aloof until he gets jealous.
Pretends he isn't in love until you call his bluff and he scrambles.
He's usually cocky and likes to make your blood boil.
Incredible in bed, unhinged.
He's handsome and he knows it which is frustrating.
But that demeanor starts to wear off, the longer he courts you. He's not one to express his emotions in a healthy way but when he's faced with potentially losing you for good, he changes his tune.
He loves being the center of your attention and when he's not, he starts to get nervous.

Something Wicked This Way Comes, Chapter 1.
Tumblr media
Many Years Ago. (Two men ride their horses quickly through the countryside in the pouring rain. Crossing a long stone bridge, the two men reach the town of Karlstadt.) Karlstadt. (The men are stopped at the gates by guards.) Guard: “Halt! State your business!” Jacob: “Monsieur, we're looking for food and lodging.” (The guards look to each other and then let the two riders pass.) Guard: “On your way then.” Wilhelm: “Thank you, Sir.” (The men ride on into the walled town. They pass by a former soldier begging for money.) Soldier: “A little something, sir? Help an old soldier. Help an old soldier, sir. (Jacob leans down and tosses a gold coin to the man:) Oh, thank you. Thank you, sir. God bless you, sir.” (Reaching the stables, they come upon a young man touting for business.) Young Man: “Groom your horses, sirs?” Wilhelm: “Do you know the mayor of this town?” Young Man: “Only groom for the best, sir.” Wilhelm: (Hands him a letter:) “Then give him this.” Young Man: (Reading the wax seal on the letter:) “The Brothers Grimm?” Wilhelm: “Every second counts.”
Town Hall. (The people of the town are gathered to hear testimony of a miller who is suspected to have encountered a witch.) Old Miller: “The witch comes in the dead of night, when the moon is well-hid. She comes out of the darkest, coldest blackness. (He screams, causing the townsfolk to gasp in surprise:) Her cry would freeze the very blood in your veins.” Wilhelm: “You were right to send for us. How many here have seen her?” Mayor: “Everyone who lives by the old mill stream has seen her. It was a hundred years ago. The miller's wife was burned at the stake for witchcraft, and they tossed her charred bones into the river.” Jacob: (While writing all of this down:) “Ancient law dictates that her remains should have been sealed in a mirror-lined box.” Mayor: “Ah, well, for nights thereafter children saw her walk the riverbank, beckoning them to her.” Jacob: “And a good many did. The mill witch of Karlstadt.” Wilhelm: “Yes. (Pats his brother on the back:) We know the legend.” Miller’s Daughter: “Then you believe us?” Wilhelm: “Why, I'd believe anything you choose to tell me, my lady.” Old Miller: (Stands, shakily:) “Come to my mill. Such ungodly horrors! Such banshees screeching. And if you dare set eyes upon...” Mayor: “Shut up! Give him his medicine. (The Miller turns to his daughter who hands him a bottle:) Brothers Grimm, we're at our wit's end. What can you do for us?” Wilhelm: (While writing, distractedly:) “It's difficult. Jake?” Jacob: “When you burn a witch, her soul burns eternally, so the exorcism of witches requires a very special method.” Wilhelm: “And expensive.” Jacob: “Only an arrow of innocent tears, that is child's tears, shot directly through the heart can put out that fire.” Wilhelm: (Whispered:) “That's the theory. This is no ordinary witch.” Mayor: (Also whispered:) “But we've got no one else to turn to. Can't you help us? (The brothers look to each other, then Wilhelm places a piece of paper before the Mayor. Gasps:) How much?” (The Mayor looks helplessly out to the concerned faces of the townsfolk before shaking Wilhelm’s hand in reluctant agreement.) Wilhelm: “You're doing the right thing.” Mayor: “I hope so.”

me, deranged: what if arceus actually copied volo instead of the other way around
there are probably really intricate ancient paintings of arceus done by the celestica people but the idea that volo knows of arceus as the almighty omniscient entity through the myths and legends he learns and only has vague descriptions or old worn carvings to go off of when he makes his outfit scratches my brain.
that plus the gay little pose that everyone laughs at him for when he throws his pokeball... when i first saw it i literally gasped bc i instantly recognized it as a parallel to the way arceus rears up before initiating battle.
and so:
you worship and you worship and you worship until your obsession implodes. until you believe yourself a god and you carry yourself as one. until you have recreated yourself in the image of the deity you sought in your attempt to replace it, unaware that such mimicry has extended much further and dug much deeper than mere appearances. that you are becoming the very thing you now seek to destroy.
or so that's how i originally read it. that volo, in his obsession with arceus, subconsciously started copying it in mannerism as well without even knowing what it looked like for sure.
arceus had no need for a concrete form, nor did it see any reason to create one beyond a cursory hazy image for the few times it needed to directly intervene - such as when the hero is pulled through time and space and reality. but it knows that it must meet with its chosen soon and that there will be confrontation. but as its chosen approaches its realm, it sees another. one that has been vying for its attention until that plea for acknowledgement became a demand for an answer, until that wish became a will. so it waits and observes and when all is done, it casts its judgement. its initial verdict holds true. the chosen remains the chosen and the other remains just that: the other. its attention returns to its champion and considers the form it will take when it itself stands as the chosen's opponent.
but now i wonder if it may be the other way around?
as in:
and so it takes on the image of the other that has gained its watchful eye as the one that could possibly have challenged its chosen's role. a worthy opponent, surely.
but arceus exists beyond time and space and in all other whens and wheres, it now and then appears as such.
(since arceus doesn't play by the linear rules of time that humans understand, when it chooses its form, then that is how it looks now and that was how it looked before and it has always been that way since the start of creation.)
subsequently, all depictions of it reflect this form. so when volo makes his cosplay based on the old paintings he sees of arceus, he's actually cosplaying arceus's cosplay of his cosplay of its cosplay of his cosplay of–

So I ask this out of innocent curiosity but do you not mind the fact that Fawful was clearly willing to endanger or even snuff out the lives of like… a countless number of innocent inhabitants of the mushroom kingdom? Also why do you feel as though Mario n Luigi were out of line in what they did when Fawful put himself in a position of villainy willingly? I’m dying to know so thanks for reading n possibly answering.
WELL OKAY SO I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO PREFACE WITH THE FACT THAT never have I EVER said that Mario and Luigi were out of line/in the wrong. That's very important for me to bring up here bc I am not the type of person to mindlessly defend the villain of the story or their actions just because I happen to like them, lmfao.
The Bros. were doing what they had to do to protect their kingdom and subsequently those they cared about. Fawful's overconfidence in the infallibility of his plan are what led to his defeat. He is a very flawed individual who made questionable decisions but that does not make me adore him any less. I could choose to focus on his flaws, but why do that when my heart is full to bursting with love and appreciation for him? I can acknowledge where he went wrong (even if he won't.. but that's a story for another day. I'm looking at you, Fawful. LOL.) without losing the ability to see the beauty inside his heart, mind, and soul in the process.
It's also important for me to note that he doesn't show himself to be a murderer in any capacity, despite what I've seen some others say? Fawful is not a killer. The only characters he expresses a desire to harm in any way are really Mario & Luigi for the sheer fact that they've gotten in his way at every turn. He is very ambitious, selfish, and power-hungry by nature but he is not a murderer.
Furthermore, I don't believe Fawful really truly knew what he was dealing with when it came to the Dark Star. You could argue that his arrogance when it came to thinking he could handle an ancient evil and even fully control it for his own ends is what ultimately led to his demise.
Fawful likely heard of the legend of how whoever took the Dark Star would "rule the world" and that's where his focus was as a result - not on anything worse. He's a genius, but he absolutely still had his oversights.
These are my personal thoughts based on in-game observations and just knowing what I do about Fawful, though. I hope it helps answer your question at least a little bit?

THE clock was about to strike eleven. They had been sitting around that table playing, shouting and rejoicing at every roll of the dice and cursing when their rolls went awry for a good eight hours. They had made quite a few mistakes that evening: luck was clearly not on their side. Too many times, they found themselves lost in the dense thickets of thorns and brambles, so sharp they tore through their flesh. Too many times, they got lost in the Valley of Mists, having to start over and retrace their steps multiple times. It was madness to reach that castle, it was madness to try to save the enchanted village from the forces of evil.
But with a bit of luck and many failed attempts, they managed to arrive near a dilapidated house where an old man with one eye lived. The man welcomed them, offering water and a crust of bread, while he warmed up some coffee, and he told the legend that surrounded the Castle of Shadows they were seeking. «No one has ever returned» the old man said with a melancholic voice «But no one had this» then he pulled out a golden medallion from his dirty shirt. It didn't look special until the old man spoke again. «This is an ancient permit that the defeated king handed over to me. He told me: “it will come a time when you will know how to make good use of it” and I believe that time has now arrived" with a toothless smile, the old man handed the magical object to the adventurers. «When in doubt, clutch the medallion, it will lead you where you need to go».
The four thanked the old man and resumed their journey, unaware that the house they had rested in had vanished behind them. But the old man was right about the medallion. Holding it tightly, they managed to pinpoint the path that separated them from the mysterious castle, ready now to enter and put an end to the cruel reign of the Damned King.
"We're almost there guys, stay focused" Dustin announced with tension in his voice as they arrived at the gates of the Damned King's castle, shrouded in thick fog that concealed the bones and deformed bodies of heroes who had tried to cross the threshold before them. "The castle gates creak open ominously" spoke the dungeon master with their customary veil of mystery. "Our heroes enter the dark corridor, with only the pale moonlight illuminating the path for our intrepid travelers".
They had reached the end, but everyone was holding their breath. The castle corridors were empty, unusual, the four adventurers whispered to each other. They had faced all sorts of dangers during their journey.
The cautious heroes reached the throne room, where they were supposed to find the Damned King and defeat him. However, the room was empty, dark and menacing. "Guys, I don't like this" Dustin whimpered. "Why isn't the king here?" he began to tap his fingers loudly on the table, and it was then that Eddie, with a laugh, announced it was a trap. "The exits are sealed" he clapped his hands loudly on the table, simulating the sound of doors being closed forcefully. "From the ground, a dark cloud rises, enveloping all of you and dragging you into the true realm of the Damned King" and with a dramatic gesture, he placed the figurine representing the king above the four adventurers. "Damn" one of Eddie's friends exclaimed, looking at him darkly for that twist, but Eddie chuckled. "So, what will you do?" the boy encouraged, observing them with curiosity, elbows propped on the table and chin resting on intertwined hands. He looked at each of them, but he fixed his gaze more intensely on one of them in particular. He had promised him the best game for his debut evening, and this, yes sir, was the best adventure he had ever thought of, written and directed. "We have few moves" Eddie's friend reminded them. "We're injured, tired and that crust of bread didn't sustain us enough" he continued. "If I may, I can cast a protective shield for you, it should give you enough time to inflict him with significant damage. What do you think?" the other players looked at each other, Steve hadn't spoken much that evening; it was his first time officially venturing into the game.
He had more or less understood the rules, spending a lot of time with Eddie, even though they had sometimes dedicated that time to other things... but Steve was determined to figure out how all that stuff worked. He had had it explained to him countless times, and he had managed to grasp something.
"Assuming it doesn't work" Steve spoke up. "What are our other alternatives?"
The other players tried to avoid giving him malicious looks, but his seemingly obtuse questions made things less straightforward.
"Steve" Dustin intervened, placing a hand on his shoulder. "You shouldn't say things like that in a delicate moment like this" the boy looked confused and lost, casting a pleading look at Eddie, who was struggling to hold back a laugh behind his fingers.
"But anyway" Dustin continued. "There's a remote chance that this might not work. Luck is not on our side tonight and the darkness is stronger than ever. So, our only hope lies in the Sword of Light we recovered from the Bone Cavern. But it's a risky move, nearly impossible. We have to hope for an even roll and receive the shield" he concluded the explanation, giving permission to roll the dice, which spun and twirled on the table, leaving everyone breathless, their eyes fixed on those moving cubes.
"Bad news, my brave ones, it's an odd number" Eddie announced with an amused smile. "We're screwed" Dustin sighed, slumping back in his chair.
"Guys, guys, it's okay" Steve tried to boost morale. "The game isn't over yet, we have one last move before the king takes over the entire world. We can do it! Remember what the old man said? When tough times come, we clutch the medallion and it will lead us to safety. We can still make it, I believe in us" he didn't think he could give such a motivational speech, but there he was, the beloved Steve Harrington talking about D&D and trying to uplift his team of players. Everything would be okay.
"You need to roll triple zero, man" except the team's mood was now below zero.
"The medallion lost its power the moment we entered the castle" the other player reminded him. Steve blushed, but Dustin gave him a pat on the back to bring him back. "You can do it" he handed Steve the dice. Steve let out a heavy sigh, shaking the dice vigorously in his hands, thinking he had to roll triple zero. It had to come out now. The dice spun on the table, everyone watching with anxiety and anticipation. One die showed a zero, making everyone's throats go dry. The second die trembled a bit before coming to a stop. The players stared at each other, no one spoke. Suddenly, silence descended upon the walls that had been filled with shouts and cheers, but at that moment, everything fell quiet. Then a burst of joyful screams filled the room as the boys jumped to their feet, embracing each other, jumping around, happy and enthusiastic because on that table, before the astonishment and incredulity of all, there was a triple zero. Our brave heroes had won.
"We've won!" Steve shouted, incredulous, unable to believe that he, too, was celebrating the game that had seemed absurd and ridiculous to him just a few months ago. Was this the adrenaline that Eddie had explained to him? It was incredible, he felt inexplicably euphoric.
"My gentlemen" Eddie called them back, pleased with their success, but the story wasn't over yet. "Please, have a seat" he invited them to take their places, looking at each other with anxiety and suspicion. The king had been defeated, there shouldn't have been any more surprises. But after all those hours spent wandering through treacherous enchanted and cursed valleys, they weren't sure of anything anymore.
Eddie cleared his throat, continuing his monologue. "The Sword of Light pierces the thick fog of terror that had surrounded our heroes, bringing the warmth of hope to that deserted and dark realm. The Damned King dissolves into a gray cloud of vapor, carrying away all the darkness that had been ravaging the valley. The kingdom is now safe" the game concluded with applause from the dungeon master.
The boys looked at each other once again, dazed but euphoric. The game had finally ended: the heroes had won and the village from which everything had begun was saved. Our heroes could happily return home.

The friends bid their farewells, chatting until their voices dispersed into the street, still talking about their magical adventure. Only two remained in the house, Steve staying a bit longer to help tidy up, but not just that. It wasn't easy for them to be alone, without someone interrupting their occasional flirting, they had to seize every good opportunity to play the role of lovers.
"Not bad for your official debut, Harrington" Eddie teasingly remarked as he was putting the game and figurines back into the box. "I had a good teacher" Steve replied slyly, helping clean the table from snack crumbs.
"Really" Eddie purred, approaching like a cat, lightly running his fingers over the table until he was in front of his partner. "In that case, I should give you a reward for your remarkable learning ability" he said playfully and suggestively, caressing Steve's hips with a grin and locking eyes with him, with the sole intention of making his boyfriend blush.
"Oh yeah?" Steve smiled, willingly playing along, feeling a jolt where Eddie was touching him. "Don't get your hopes up, big boy" Eddie laughed, lowering his hands from Steve's hips, brushing his lips with a kiss before stepping back to retrieve a small box he had hidden on a shelf.
"It's just a little something" he announced cheerfully, holding the box and returning to his man, who watched him with a mix of curiosity and anticipation. "I thought it was the perfect gift to give to the perfect guy after an engaging and, dare I say, magnificently orchestrated, D&D game" he then took a ring out of the box, sliding it onto his lover's finger. It wasn't flashy at all, just a simple silver ring with a maple wood core running through the middle, delicately engraved with symbols on the shining metal.
Steve couldn't stop staring at it, his heart was racing. "For the hero who saved the realm from darkness, may this ring always bring you back to me" Eddie kissed the tips of his fingers, hoping deep down he wasn't overdoing it, but this was who he was, and this was how he felt. They had been together for so long now, they had done much more than he thought he would do with another man, and he believed it was time to make it all official, even though in their hearts, it already was.
"Steve?" Eddie called out, smiling nervously because since he had given him the ring, Steve hadn't said a word. But when he heard his name, the boy raised his head, looking into his lover's worried eyes.
"I—I don't know what to say" he reply hesitantly, feeling embarrassed. In that moment, Eddie blushed, maybe he had gone overboard and made him uncomfortable. They should have talked about this together before doing all of this.
"If it's too soon, you can—"
"No." Steve interrupted, gazing at the ring and carefully turning it with the fingers of his other hand. "I like it" he smiled. Everything was so strange, their whole story was actually strange, yet he felt an inexplicable warmth in the company of this peculiar man who made his world easier to face. "It's perfect" it was absolutely the perfect gift from the perfect guy.
Those words reassured Eddie's heart, making him feel calmer, knowing that Steve had accepted his gift. Everything in that room had suddenly become quieter, the two slightly embarrassed by the recent event. It was all real, it was truly official.
At that moment, Steve approached Eddie, wrapping his arms around his neck to bring him as close as possible. "You know, Eddie Munson” he whispered close to his lips. "I think I love you" he chuckled between his lips, gazing lovingly into his lover eyes.
"Well, Steve Harrington" Eddie replied, holding him tight. "I think I love you too" he smiled, resting his forehead against his boyfriend's, staying embraced and cuddled for a while.
