HKJGH AW RED!! :'] <3 it does take a lot of energy, i understand :'0 i keep a lot of cool art in my tumblr drafts. the art stays in there until i have energy to type all my thoughts out. a lot of things stay stuck in there… i try to make sure art from my friends get out soon though :0 don't feel bad if you can't type a lot!! anything you can manage is okay! no one can be positive and kind all the time, and that's normal! just do what you can. i promise it's enough. anyway a different sneaky plan worked out in that i was able to find old listing photos of my dream house and ough..... i need her .....

#she was last sold in 2018 but maybe by the time ive made my millions (through directing or winning the lottery or some other scheme)#she'll be for sale again. we can dream #realizing 2018 was six years ago and not like. 2. thats scary #but anyway i like this house a lot. good kitchen. could be bigger but its workable #built in bookshelves in the huge living room. thats for dvds babey #no pictures of the 2 bedrooms n bathrooms . come on man i need to know what storage space we're working with #very nice little outside pool area thats surrounded by bushes n plants. i like that.#one day ill learn how to swim so my pool will not be redundant #its nice. id love to see a floor plan but alas #this is a different house from that house in palm springs that was furnished to the max with gaudy 70s furniture and decor #that one is really fun. but its also way the hell out in palm springs #this house however is in the hollywood hills. ish . but the great thing about is that its down this private drive #and you cant even see it on google images. very secret i like that . im hidden away from the world #another thing going for this house is a silly little superstition ive inherited from my dad #multiple times in his life hes lived at places where the numbers in the address have added up to his lucky number (day of birth)#where we live now adds up to 13 which explains a lot #but this house the numbers add up to my lucky number. yay #anyway this is all very hypothetical but i have nothing else to do with my time (<- guy that could be doing far more productive things)

wait hold on now I am genuinely curious: Why is D-Sides your favourite Gorillaz album? I never vibed with it myself so I am interested in hearing what you like about it that I'm missing out on.

so, i haven't listened to Gorillaz in a long while, nor do i tend to listen to music that actively these days, but i re-listened to the entire album, side 1 and side 2, to try and come up with a reason why i like it so much. i do want to preface and say, yeah, the album (side 1 atleast) is very "plain", there's not a whole lot going on, nor are there any guest artists on any of the songs.

but in listening to the album again, a few things kinda appear in my brain regarding the album. one is that it brings back a set of memories of taking trips to and from Ohio to live with my mother and step-father during a few breaks between high school, and how a lot of the songs in the album i remember heavily listening to while trying to sleep in the back of their car (i'm 6'2", and sleeping horizontally in the back of a moderately small car was. not great). i had the main 6 albums before Humanz installed to my kindle, since Humanz hadn't come out yet as these trips were between... 2014 and 2016. i mainly remember hearing D-Sides the most i feel on those trips, whether it be intentional, or my sleep patterns would have me looping back around to D-Sides... that or i mostly started with D-Sides at the beginning of those trips.

another thing i'm kinda thinking about after having re-listened to the album is how much side 1 kinda reminds me of Boe, in terms of the vibes; there's a lot of somber vibes i get from some songs that fits well for him (Hong Kong and Spitting Out the Demons both being notable songs that remind me of Boe himself, and also of those long trips). side 2 on the other hand, it's remixes remind me a lot of the Sims 2, specifically the console version, as i associate a lot of Sims 2 with it's console selection of music... which is mostly a more heavy focus on the electronic tracks from the PC version; a lot of the remixes feel like something i could hear playing on the radio while i'm controlling my sim around and doing tasks.

last thing, maybe, is that i never hear folks refer to D-Sides as one of their favourites, so maybe that's why i have it as mine. out of respect perhaps.

#ask #anon #honestly i think a lot of how i imagine Boe's world being similar to that of Gorillaz/Demon Days era of Gorillaz #like with o green world's trash filled wasteland. right. or kong studios trashed vibes during Demon Days.#that's kinda a vibe i think about with both hell and limbo. although i only really imagine the trash being a focus in Boe's house #which is less of something he has to deal with ever since having Budd around #but. anyway. maybe D-Sides isnt what you could call a ''traditional favourite'' of mine but.#idk its still got vibes for me.#like all 6 albums before humanz i would all put in my top 3. yeah that doesnt make sense but. whatever man.#im not sure if this is the answer youre looking for though. for me i guess its familiarity.#and ofc having D-Sides so high has nothing to say about Demon Days or Plastic Beach btw #honestly like. between those six. i feel a lot share the number 1 place.#i cant explain it but. yeah #i hope this atleast makes some sense anon. its less about the music itself and more of how i associate with it i guess #thats art babey #thank you for this ask anon #i wanted to give the best answer i could. which involved listening to the entire thing in the dark so it was my full focus #and from that the response above is kinda my summary on it all.

Wait while I'm here lemme say something that's been on my mind for like 2 weeks at least. So, Yahiko was alive when Obito first came to Ame and talked to Nagato. The canonical ages of Obito and Nagato in shippuden are 31 and 35 respectively. So the ame orphans are all 4 years older than Obito. Considering Yahiko died at 15, the oldest Obito could be when meeting Nagato is..... 11. When did Obito have his death scare and meet Madara before leaving for Ame??? When he was 13. Sooooo... unless I somehow got something wrong, and please correct me if I did, Kishimoto is once again a hack fraud.

i love when kagepro veers into the horror genre i love that the daze is an abstract unsettling unchanging dimension, i love the relentless timeloop of kagerou days, i love the horrific ordeal of headphone actor, i love it when kano psychologically tortures someone by turning into a deceased loved one, i love dead and seek, i love it when kenjirou goes crazy, and i love outer science. i ❤️ when the horror of being a helpless child with little to no autonomy is gratifyingly depicted in fictional works
