What would you get if you mixed 1900s Warlordist Asia, Ivalice Geopolitics, Disco Elysium's Historicalism, Esoteric Buddhism's Magickal Materialism, Naruto's Edge, Undefeatable's Post-Retro Shoegaze, and Tears of the Kingdom's Ruin-Delving?

HINGSAJAGRA is a world project built upon revolutionary ideals. An antirealist fantasy. Literary Fabula. New Weird. Magickal Antirealism. Fantastic Postmodernism. Southeast Asian Gonzo Fantasy. What if the world never developed automatic guns and mobiles? What if the world's colonial superpower was Indochina-Suvarnabhumi? What if the Buddha met Marx? What if the world ended because of the failed proletariat revolution? What if the breathtaking invention that kickstarted the Industrial Revolution was not the steam engine but the Karma Engine, where sentient-beings' karma is used for electricity and mechanic energy?

A world that has moved past the phantasmic fog of the Heroic Age and the God Age. A world that challenges ours in terms of integrity and movement. Inspired by the likes of New Crobuzon, Throne, Revachol, Camorr, Bulikov, Ivalice. A world built upon the mystic esoteric tenets of sunyata set down by Vajrayana Buddhism. The synthesis of Nagarjuna's Emptiness with Camus' Absurd. The handshake of the Buddha's Bodhicitta with Marx's Communism.

A world not too interested in mytho-national reproduction, a world interested in being a place for us to express emotion and not just evoke it. Instead of epic odysseys, letters-never-delivered from a failed philosopher to his knight husband who died in war. The eternal grief arising from outliving your son and daughter. Hopeless love poems from a fisherman to the Company Heir of Ressen-Nalenji. Scribblings of a genocide victim. Suicide note of a failed actor. Drawings of a child in a war zone.

From it springs forth novels, serials, poems, paintings, RPGs and more. It is materialistic in its historical dialectic, built upon transcultural ideas and the overcoming of idealism-materialism as well as individualism-collectivism. It's a love letter to revolutionary movements in Southeast Asia, Africa, and South Asia.

Hingsajagra is a made up portmanteau. Hingsa means violence, pain. Jagra means wheel, circle. Together it means Wheel of Pain. Kafeng Masagwa likes to translate it as Wheel of Violence. It must be turned for the liberation of all sentient beings.

Go. A world to win. Do it for the ocean. Set your heart ablaze. Emancipate humanity. Until all the hells are empty. Until all beings are free.

My brain keeps conjuring up a MDTB Epic!Au/Odyssey!AU but it can't decide on who is the Odysseus and who is the Penelope in the AU.

On one hand Tobirama as Odysseus - Tobirama is so achingly clever that having a patron god/diety of War and Wisdom just makes sense for him, in the fan cannon he is referred to by many as a demon or ghost (not so far from a Monster), of the two of them he is the one I think is more believeable as a boat/naval captain, He WOULD trade the world to see his son (Kagami in this case) and husband, and it makes more sense for Madara to be pressured into taking a new wife/husband. On the other hand Madara has a built in patron Goddess in Amateratsu omi-kami, he is actually a clan-head so unlike Tobirama he has a king-like title to doxx himself with, he seems more likely to piss off a monster than anyone else (see also actual naruto where he develops a plan to capture and hurt a bunch of Bijuu), and I think that Tobirama's sensing abilities making him an interesting take on Penelope since he would be able to sense Madaras chakra as it grew near and have to struggle with determining whether or not it is his imagination, also Kagami is an Uchiha by blood so his wonderings if he is like his father make more sense to me in this case.

Also in terms of the Trojan war - Odysseus is there because while the king of sparta was trying to determine who to marry his daughter Helen to he invites a bunch of unmarried kings/princes to make their case for her hand and while Odysseus is there he meets the cousin of Helen, Penelope and falls in love with her and since he doesn't want Helen, when his time to be like "hi im Odysseus the fresh prince of Ithaca and this is why you should choose me" he instead says "yo actually... what if we let Helen choose and then the rest of us make a pact that we will accept her decision and if anything should ever happen to her we will all come to her/her husbands aid? and also can I marry her cousin" (in some stories the she should choose isn't what happens but in this case I said it is). So to me I feel like it makes sense if Helen in this case is Mito, and that all these fire nation suitors come Hashirama is one of them with his brother there to help attend him, and while Madara is there he keeps being drawn to tobirama instead of the princess he should be trying to woo and so he makes a little plan where he helps Hashirama to get to know her well enough for her to fall in love with him and choose him and in return Hashirama will give him his blessing to pursue Tobirama and eventually marry him. I feel like the other direction is possible as well, that Tobirama and Hashirama are both there as suitors, but that Tobirama's is already in love with Madara (who in this case is not here as a suitor) and so when it's his turn to be like "hey choose me" he says something along the lines of "I have great sensing abilities and I can sense that Mito has a preference and I believe that she should be the one to choose. I know this person not to be me, and I am fine with that as I have my sights set on another - but knowing the fighting that would take place should anything happen to her we should make a pact . . ."

It's such a dilemma and it might be a niche intersection of interests but to any Madatobi shippers out there who are ALSO Epic the mucial fans - let me know your take please it is truly such a back and forth in my brain and the only characters that I for sure have down are Helen = Mito, Hashirama = Menelaus, Kagami = Telemachus.

(I also like the idea of Antinous being some random Hyuga because I will never forgive them for what happened with Nejii, but that is neither here nor there)

I love making unnecessary tasks for myself and @need-him-pregnant-poll currently has me in a chokehold so I put together a baby list! Based on an idea mentioned that each poll is a new pregnancy, I was curious about the amount of babies everyone has now, and I thought other people might be interested as well!

The single digits are for the characters that are still currently in the tournament and their final baby numbers aren’t official yet. The rest are in a range based on whether the idea is that the character gets pregnant every time they’re in a poll or if they get pregnant each time they win a poll(and I wanted the characters who lost in the first round to still have a chance at pregnancy lol) so characters with 3-4 babies were in four separate polls but only won three etc etc
