I know that a joke about bruce having adopted millions of kids and how the batkids tease him about it, but what happend if that "joke" have more truth than the batkids are aware of?
Its impossible for bruce to adopt all the orphans, homeless and sick children in the world, but if Bruce could afford the whole watchtower withour affecting his company or fortune why he couldn't afford medicines, houses, schools and others suplies to children thar really need it?
Why cant be Danny one of those children?
Bruce met danny in a undercover mission to investigate the mayor of a small town: Amity Park. At first everything seemed normal, until an unknow figure crashed in the billionare's house. A kid, who couldn't be older than fouteen, had been the one who caused the damage after falling. The kid was bruised and tired, but that didn't him from fly to beat an unknow creature thar appear of nowhere and had started to attack the people around.
That child was a hero of this town.
A child had to step up to do their job, his job.
He have a kid to adopt contact

"Fuck!! Fucking bloody hell !!" Said a men, in front him was a glowing circle wich looked to become brighter and brighter every second
"Constantine! What is this!" Superman asked as he come back after knock of the last of the cultists. The room become colder and the heroes looked more and more concerned.
"The fuckers tried to summon the ghost king!! I tried to stop the summoning but its to late!!" The magician yelled. All the heroes there (WW, Superman, Flash, Nightwing) tensed except Batman. The bats sighed and told "Dont do anything, let him come"
"B what the—!" A thunder and flash of light interrupted him.
Black smoke started to cover the room, any light thar it wasnt feom the circle died. Murmurs and giggles surrounded the only occupants of the room, the shadows grow and sparkles appear.
The terrorific scenary was covered by tiny sparkles that looked like stars, and if you know well, you could see that it were in the same order as the real stars.
A orb of light came out of the summoning circle. Then begin to grow and form a figure, a tiny figure.
Snow white hair and glowing green eyes, a black hazmat suit and a some armor covering it. A cape in his back that reflect the universe with a symbol and a thin black crown, decorated with cold ice beutifuler than any gem they had seen.
Pointed ears perked up and a sharp smile appsr as the King look towards the heroes.

Constantine was going to talk when the bat interrupted him " Danny"
The king turned his eyes to the dark knight and sunddely all the pression dissapear.
"Bruce!" A cheerful, young voice yelled. It took a moment to the rest of the heroes realize that it came from the same king who talked with that inhuman voice before.
The young kid jump happily in the arms of the dark knight and embrace him.
"B, when did you adopted the Ghost king?!!?" Nightwing screamed hysterically.
The Bat looked at his son a confused, " Danny is one of the kids I support, I thought that you already knew it"
"how I supposed to know—! Wait. ONE OF!!!!?? HOW MANY MORE ARE YOU HIDDEN FROM US!!!??"
"Hidden??"

Thinking about the JL finding out that Bruce has contingency plans for all of his kids and being horrified. But when the League asks them about it, all the kids are like “yeah! we actually all have them for each other just in case” and move on like it’s perfectly normal to have three different ways to take out your brother on hand (for emergencies).

bruce wayne is dating superman. his kids aren't having it, especially since they've been trying to set him up with clark kent from the daily planet.
jason: damn, old man, i know you're hopeless but i didn't think you'd jump the first bone you get
tim: ew but true, bruce. i like superman just fine, but as a step-dad? not so much
damian: do not implicate such ridiculous notion, drake. father may be unreasonable enough to make the mistake of dating the alien, but he will soon realise how ludicrous he is being, besides he isn't stupid to actually marry the alien
jason: i admire your optimism
damian: thank you, zombie-boy
jason: ouch
dick: guys, superman is cool, c'mon *turns to bruce* but seriously bruce, you can do so much better
dick: like clark kent. didn't you say you think he's cute?
bruce, who knows clark kent is superman: *sighs*
*the next city over*
clark kent in the middle of writing an article: *sneezes so violently he almost breaks his chair*

Phantom home alone
A/N: I blame having read a couple of post of the batkids doing that. And my brain went, let's have Danny do that too! I am sure someone might have thought of that already tho...
Danny clutched the screw driver in his head and looked proudly at what he had build on a short noticed. Sure Tucker had notified him that someone was looking into his person, but he had not thought that whoever that was would come snooping around his home this soon. Espacially when he was supposed to be on a home visit to his parents that he had to cancel last minute for a collage project.
Well, it's too bad for those who are trying to sneak into his home. Danny was the son of a pair of the most inventive and creative inventors of Amity that made laser blasters out of toasters. Additionally he was a half ghost with a large variety of powers as well as someone who had the definition of mischief as daughter/sister.
Besides, he always wanted to get his own chance on doing his own version of home alone. His parents security system just never let him do that. That reminded him, should he see if he can bring to live and convince the hotdogs in his fridge to fight with him?
The Bats and Birds just wanted to make sure that this new kid in Tim's college classes was not as suspicious as he appeared to be. Really, if that kid hadn't off handedly commented about the basic components of fear gas while in Tim's presence he might never have gotten onto their radar.
Of course, as paranoid as they were, they had to scoop out the teens' place when they knew he wasn't around. They did not expect the apartment to fight back. And are those hotdogs wielding forks and knives as weapons?!

Head cannon for the Batkids:
So, we’re all aware that out of all Bruce’s kid Tim is the only one that’s ever gotten away with lying to him on more than one occasion.
And we know how smart he is, right, so if over the years he just keep doing it, lying to Bruce, about small things that wouldn’t really harm anyone. Just so he could observe and keep track of how much he can get a way with, for future reference of course.
But he gets so good at it that Bruce, Bat “the most paranoid person on the planet” man, immediately trusts his words, just like that.
Honestly why wouldn’t he? Tim hasn’t given him anything to doubt. He’d been carful over the years. 1-Hiding his tracks, 2-being overly truthful, 3-keeping his reputation as clean as possible.
1-He breaks something? Bruce wouldn’t know, cause he hid the evidence, bought a replica or straight up gaslights Bruce into thinking it never existed.
2-He stirs up trouble with the YJ, he’d tell Bruce with all honesty what happened, to the point where Bruce just expects the truth when Tim reports a mission to him, unbeknownst to him, that half of it is lies.
3-He keeps this up in his years as Robin to stay in his good graces, obviously, he’s polite, diligent, reliable and responsible, who wouldn’t trust a boy that’s so mature for his age?
Of course then his sibling find out about this certain skill of his and employ him to lie for them.
——————————
Dick, broke a chandelier he was not supposed to be swinging on? No problem; Timmy’s on it:
Dick: *tries giving Tim the puppy dog eyes that have virtually no effect on him*
Tim: *sends him an unimpressed look*
Tim: Bruce, just look at that ancient looking chandelier and tell me it wasn’t going to fall on someone’s head one day or the other?
Bruce: …
Tim: *sighs exasperatedly*
Tim: Do you have such little faith in your own son that you would believe he would endanger himself doing something that could potentially injure him, that you specifically told him not to do.
Tim: *sends a pointed look towards dick*
Dick: *sends him a sheepish smile*
Bruce: …
Bruce: *relents*
Bruce: I guess you’re right.., and the chandelier is quite old,..I’ll have to buy a replacement..
Bruce: *walks away*
Tim: You owe me, for this.
Dick: Yeah, I know, but thanks anyway Timmy!
——————————
Jason, scratched the Batmobile, he wasn’t permitted to drive? Bribe Tim; to deal with Bruce:
Jason: I’ll cook for you, anything you want, as payment.
Tim: *sighs*
Tim: Bruce, are you really sure you were careful with the Batmobile, last nigh? I seem to remember, you were in quite a rush to catch up to two-face, who was escaping in his getaway car.
Bruce: I checked on it last night, and don’t remember any scratches…
Tim: You were dead on your feet last night, barley even able to change out of your gear, write a full report, then head to bed, it shouldn’t be surprising that you missed a few scratches on the car.
Bruce: …
Bruce: I guess so… I’ll just have to keep a more attentive eye on it, next time…
Bruce: *walks away*
Tim: I’ll be expecting breakfast burritos, to appear on my plate, in the morning.
Jason: You can expect anything you want, and I’ll make it happen, after that save, nerd-bird.
——————————
Damian, snuck in an injured cat to take care of, before sending them off to the shelter? ‘Force’ Drake, to help:
Damian: While I usually wouldn’t resort to you for assistance, Drake, I must reluctantly admit, I am in need of it.
Tim: I’ll only agree, if you name the cat Drake.
Damian, who already named the long haired, black furred, blue eyed cat, after Tim: Very well.
Later on:
Bruce: *spots the new cat*
Bruce: Tim, is it just me or does Alfred the cat look.. different.
Tim: I’m not sure what you’re talking about, B.
Bruce: I could have sworn his eyes were yellow, not blue?..
Tim: Are you sure, though? Perhaps you’re mistaken. Maybe it’s a trick of the light? There’s a lot of reasons, as to why you could have mistaken the cat’s eye colour.
Bruce: …
Bruce: I guess… if you say so…
Later, later on:
Damian: Drake, Drake, the cat, has been adopted, as of late, by a loving and nurturing family (as loving and nurturing a family can be, in Gotham).
Tim: Cool.
——————————
Cassandra wants Bruce to attend her recital, but he’s busy? Ask Tim for help:
Bruce: Odd, I remember I had a few more cases to finish today…
Tim: Ohhh, those? Yeah, you gave them to me, not long ago.
Bruce: …I did?
Tim: Yeah! Just last night, when you told me you promised cass, you’d attend her recital, tonight. So I suggested, to handle those cases for you.
Bruce: …
Bruce: That does seem like something I’d do, thanks for reminding me, Tim, I’m glad I can count on you.
Tim: Of course, B.
Later on:
Cass, hugging Tim; to show her appreciation.
——————————
Duke, may or may not have skipped school after first period? Get Tim to help:
Tim: Bruce, is the school absolutely sure, he hadn’t attended his classes, I mean you can obviously see, from the security camera, that he entered the school gates this morning.
Bruce: The teachers stated that he didn’t answer when his name was called in class, and that they didn’t see him all day, on school grounds. None of the security cameras captured any sight of him, other than when he entered, through the gates.
Tim: Ohhh, I see, he must’ve been honing his bat-skills, you know sneaking around, undetected, in school, that must be why no one noticed him, not even the security cameras.
Bruce: …
Bruce: You’re right. I’ll be speaking to the principal about the staff’s inability to locate him, when he was obviously on school grounds.
Bruce: Then, I’ll talk to Duke about refraining from using his bat-skills in our civilian lives. Even if it’s for training purposes. Although I’ll have to commend him, for attending the whole day, undetected.
Later on:
Duke: Are you sure I can’t do something to repay you, I mean, you saved my hide, just now.
Tim: Well.. there is this new juice bar I’ve been wanting to check out, I could use the company.
Duke: No way! I heard about it too, hold on let my grab my phone, then we can head out.

A TROPE I WOULD LIKE TO SEE EXPLORED MORE:
I’ve seen many fics where it hits the general story beats of: Danny gets approached by Gotham citizens. They talk to him like they know Danny but he has never seen these people before in his life. Eventually he finds out that people are mistaking him for a batkid. Eventually the look-alikes meet and they share stories of how they got confused for each other and wanted to meet the other to see who they kept getting confused for.
I’ve seen authors do this mainly with Gotham citizens or a member of the batfamily mistaking Danny for a member of the batfamily.
But I haven’t seen many examples of the reverse. An Amity Park citizen approaching a batkid thinking that they are Danny.
Imagine the possibilities. The many hcs about creepy Amity Park would mesh perfectly with this. The batkids would be massively confused and be very concerned because like,
What the fuck is wrong with these weird people who keep approaching him and asking when his parent’s wrist rays are going to go back in stock because their old one broke? Who is this “Danny” guy and why do they look enough alike for them to be mistaken for the other multiple times in one day? What the fuck is wrong with the town these guys are coming from because when they are background checked they’ve all came from this small town in Illinois? And why do these people keep thinking he’s been possessed by ghost then pull weird sci-fi looking guns out of nowhere and fire at him with weird green goo when they say they’re not Danny?
Ways this prompt could work in many different ways for different batkids with  the above scenario (but if you write something about Amity Park members mistaking a batkid for Danny, please tag me i would love to read it):
--------------
DAMIAN
Initially, the Amity Park citizen thought that Danny was doing his “spooky eye” thing but then after the kid said he wasn’t Danny, they realized it was a sign of possession. Damian isn’t possessed; he just has green eyes.
ANOTHER ROUTE:
Damian thinks that one of his clones has escaped the league of assassins and now is living a normal life in Amity. Seeking to get rid of the weaker clone, Damian goes to Amity to kill Danny. They fight but Danny tries to talk it out and eventually, after nearly being murdered in his bed multiple nights in a row, consents to DNA testing. The best part? Because Danny canonically has fucked up dna due to that “his molecules got all rearranged” so, for this, it means that Danny’s DNA is so fucked up when trying to do any testing on it, that it’s essentially unreadable. So they are never able to actually finally disprove that Danny isn’t related to Damian (who is paranoid that the birth certificates and baby photos of Danny could be elaborately faked by the league of assassins because they cannot biologically disprove that they are not related but jokes on him, they’re not actually related. They just look alike).
——————
TIM
Tim notes the name Amity Park and once he gets back to the batcave, he begins his research. And is then immediately concerned at the blatant digital non-existence up of the entire town. There are some news reports, a town website, articles about places to visit and restaurants to eat at. But that's it. Just articles and official websites that are oddly blank. He can find no social media posts or blogs or any online activity at all from people inside Amity Park. No tweets with the location set to Amity, no youtube channels, no school email addresses, no nothing from people within Amity.
Just complete digital silence.
Whoever was responsible was doing a pretty shitty job at hiding that they were covering up something big. And all it took was a VPN with the location set in Amity with Justice League clearance and he was in.
Amateurs.
Tim sat back as the batcomputer began compiling and sorting the previously hidden information. Five minutes into the scan, a popup appeared with the first set of interesting things about Amity. The most notable was that the town has been being attacked by monsters they called “ghosts” for over 5 years now. The second was that there was an previously undocumented organization that claimed to be government funded but with further research, it wasn’t clear which government as a little digging revealed the money to be sourced from multiple of them. The third was the Dr.s Fenton research. Research seemed to have changed from the belief that ghosts were non-sentient forms of energy fueled by their last emotions alive to the current perception of ghosts not only being sentient but there being countless and very intriguing research papers on the history, governments, and cultures from a variety of ghost societies.
The fourth popup was the surface level information on Danny Fenton. As the batcomputer would need more time to find more information. And holy shit. The guy did look like him. Well, almost. In the most recent photo that Danny posted with his friends, Tim could clearly see that there were a few differences. Namely, his build. Fenton was visibly more muscular with broader shoulders and a few inches taller. But scrolling back through the images, he found one from before Danny got his apparent growth spurt and they looked nearly identical. Sure Tim had a slightly different jawline, different eye shape with the color a different shade of blue. But Danny looked like if someone tried to draw Tim from memory. It was uncanny. But there was much larger things to worry about as a new chime from the batcomputer brought his attention and to his shock, he already had access to the ghost investigation ward’s database. There is no way that the batcomputer's program automatic searching for firewall weakness actually worked on a government clearance server. But probing around in the server, it became quickly apparent that it wasn’t easily accessible false information to give to people so they  think they’ve achieved their goal. No, the automatic system actually worked and someone had left a convenient backdoor to the server that gave him access through an “Agent K’s” clearance.
There was so much data available that it quickly became clear to Tim that it would take a while to sort through it all. Glancing over the different files, Tim froze and clicked on a file labeled “Fenton-Lazarus-Agreement.pdf”. It took a while to read as the scanned contract was so compressed that it was nearly illegible. This “Ghost Investigation Ward” was planning on performing experiments combining Lazarus Water with a substance only referred to as “purified ectoplasm” to see how it affected ghosts, humans, and to see how it could be integrated into weapons that could equally affect both. Horrified, Tim began to comb through as much information as he could find. But while Agent K had clearance to know about the upcoming plans for these tests, they did not have access to any other communication about it. So, with no other easily exploitable trapdoor, Tim set to work sorting through encrypted and classified information.
No shit whoever it was left the obvious backdoor, he would too after how damn long it took to unencrypt the damn messages, it was almost inhuman how difficult it was. He had to meet the guy who hacked into the organization first. Because whoever it was, had his undying respect and he just wished that the dude got access to the rest of the database because if they were hiding it this well, it must be something really bad.
Several hours later, the lights of the batcave have long since automatically shut off. The light from the batcomputer being the only source of illumination still on, casting harsh dramatic shadows across the billions of dollars worth of equipment and trophies around him. While Tim knew he shouldn’t be down here this late because the light will disturb the natural sleep cycle of the bats within it, right now he did not care. But Tim’s attention wasn’t focused on the familiarly creepy atmosphere of the cave or the sound of the unnaturally active bats. His eyes, now red and dry from straining for hours looking at the bright light were focused on the records of communications between the Al Ghul’s glaring down at him from the screen. The unencrypted emails detailed an agreement for the exchange of “Fenton Works weapons and gadgets” in return for Lazarus water. Tim reread the emails again and again. Fenton Works. He knew that something was up. From what he recalled from the guy who shot green goo at him earlier that day, they mentioned something about “wrist rays” available for purchase by the Fentons. Guess his doppelganger was more involved in Tim’s life than he previously thought. .
After spending many days researching and compiling information, Tim was able to send a full, cohesive report to Bruce first, then the Justice League as further investigation of goings-on in the Ghost Investigation Ward and Amity Park revealed that there was much more being covered up than just the ghosts and the connection to the League of Assassins in the little midwestern town.
Tim was able to convince Bruce to let him be apart of the scouting and information gathering team when the League was cleared to investigate Amity Park. He really wanted to find the guy who was able to hack into the Ghost Investigation Ward’s security, get some Fenton Works tech incase ghost attacks ever occurred in Gotham, and to maybe meet this Danny guy and see if he can ask him if there is a way to get ectoplasm out of clothing because the last Amity Park guy who thought he was processed got a shot in and the ectoplasm stain wont come out of his favorite shirt.
--------
Jason
This wasn’t Jason’s first encounter with an Amity citizen, but this was the first time they landed a shot in and it hurt. The middle aged black man stood in front of Jason with his gun still raised. The man wore a light blue work polo with tan pants. The shirt was embroidered with a company logo of an “Axion Labs” in white followed by the attacker’s name, Damon Gray, embroidered in black.
Barely having any time to recover from the shot, the Gray continued his barrage of fire and yelled, “GET OUT OF DANNY YOU GHOST!” Jason narrowly dodged the rays coming at him of the weird toxic green energy that was so bright it almost flickered out of human perception. So Jason did the reasonable thing and ran. He needed to escape the barrage of bullets and couldn’t fight back in his civilian gear. Dodging into a nearby alleyway to escape the blasts, Jason jumped up in the nearby fire escape and hastily began to climb. Pain erupted from his shoulder as he looked down and saw Gray with surprising amounts of dexterity and mobility for a man around 50, easily hop up on the fire escape and continued to fire. And so the chase continued. The guy was a surprisingly good shot, as evident from the stinging pain in his back and shoulder and it was a relief when finally Jason was able to loose the attacker. But by the time he donned his red hood gear, the asshole was gone.
Unbeknownst to Jason, Damon Grey had hurriedly changed course as he realized that if he missed the meeting he flew over 800 miles to get to, his boss would kill him regardless if it was to stop a possession or not. On the train, he opened up his Amity Alert App and reported the possession and location to let the rest of the town to keep a lookout for Danny and excuse any actions he may make until the ghost is removed.
800 miles away, three alerts rung off from three phones, one with a galaxy case, one in a purple case, and one in an absolute brick of a case that looked like it would survive a nuclear blast before it let the phone inside break. Tucker looked up from his computer and went to turn the alert off before he paused. Looked back the notification then over his shoulder where Danny sat at assembling a Fenton Works device (Danny seriously regrets letting Tucker set up that online shop because now his days are mostly filled with helping keep up with the backlog of orders. His parents’ age are gaining on them and they don’t have the ability to constantly be making inventions like they used to. So, Danny does his best to help out.) with Sam working on a different order next to him. Both of them haven already turned their respective phone’s alerts off.
“Hey Danny”, Tucker called out, making Danny pause from his current task of assembling a Fenton Lipstick Blaster and turn his head to look at Tucker,
“Yeah dude?”
Holding his phone close to his face and clearly enunciating to emphasize the message, Tucker began to read, “Are you aware that at 12:43pm today you were spotted being processed in Gotham by Valerie’s Dad?” Tucker lowered his phone and looked back up at Danny who had fully put down his tools and reached for his own phone.
“Didn’t you say that El was visiting Spain right now?”
“Yeah, she sent me a photo of a seagull stealing someone’s hat from there, like, two hours ago.” Tucker could see Danny tapping around on his phone, presumably opening his conversation with Dani.
Danny’s eyebrows furrowed and he paused looking at his screen. “No, she definitely wouldn’t have been able to travel back to the US by now unless she found a natural portal or called Wulf. But I’m going to text her again really quick just to make sure.”
Tucker got up and walked over to where the ghost boy and Sam sat at the workbench. Then they waited. A few moments later, the typing indicator’s dots popped up and a new message appeared.
It read, “Nope! I’m still in Spain? I saw the alert, are you okay?”
After typing a response, Danny laid his phone down on the cluttered workbench rubbed his face in his hands and turned to face Sam and Tucker.
“What the fuck do we do now?”

SCREAMING INTO THE VOID RN
Nothing will ever compare to the psychological effects of child vigilantism and I won't stop talking about it. Because you cannot convince me that these children have seen death, and killed gods, and have gotten away from that completely unscathed mentally.
I have holding them in my hands while putting them in a BLENDER because they are precious to me. They are children with the ability to do good so they have done good. Most of the batkids were born into the life forced upon it by situations out of their control, but some of them chose perhaps not quite understanding the ramifications, perhaps knowing that they would be scarred, and they still joined the world of superheroes regardless.
They probably all live in a constant state of fight or flight, all anxious and paranoid and who can blame them when they're fighting villains that kill without hesitation. They probably all have nightmares and flashbacks of the gruesome deaths they've either had to endure or witness
I want to squish them ALL, they think they are bad and they fear turning evil but they are truly good beyond any doubt. I want to reassure them that no matter what there is no possible way for them to be bad. But I also want to throw them into the WALL

"Hi dad" "Yes, I'm okay." " Sorry for nor answer" " Yes, I'll tell you how it all went later" "I love you too, bye" and then the king end the call, the JL give him strange looks
"What's up? Do I have something in my face?", the halfa asked
The heroes look at each other and then Flash respond "No, its just.. we didn't expect that the ruler of dead to have a dad"

Yes but like Thomas and Martha are used to having a child! There would be so much friction in that adjustment, and would Bruce even allow anyone to care for him like that? How paranoid would be be about their safety? I think it would be so messy
Exactly! I think sometimes people underestimate how bizarre it would be to come home to your eight year old son and realize he’s in his forties and has a whole life without you — a complex life. Bruce was an intelligent child of course, but the man he grows to be is so much beyond that. It would be an insane adjustment.
They only ever knew how to parent a child. They didn’t grow up with Bruce, and they don’t know the things that have shaped him into what he is now. Their playbook for him is beyond out of date.
That causes so much friction! In some ways, it’s like meeting a stranger. Or meeting the outlines of a person you used to know. The power dynamic shift alone is a lot — he’s the owner of the Manor, of he company, and oversees the family. Their input isn’t weighted the same anymore. They’re guests in HIS home, in some ways, even though he and Alfred would never phrase it that way.
I think, after the initial reunion wears off, attempts to parent or interrogate Bruce about his decision would ultimately backfire. And the batkids would be resistant to newcomers in general, but especially if they see how awkwardly Bruce, Thomas and Martha are all trying to interact with each other. When they see Bruce trying to pull back into himself and be less Bruce-like for their benefit, because some things about him and his life horrify them, even after their years in Gotham.

Bruce definitely suffers from empty nest syndrome despite the fact that his kids are like always with him.
I like to think that this paranoid, neurotic dad just doesn't want to believe his kids are getting older and always pretends they're still the small children they were when he first adopted them
Like that one scene in Despicable Me 3 when Gru's brother thinks his daughter is 14 and he angrily corrects him and states that "SHE'S TWELVE AND SHE'LL ALWAYS BE TWELVE"
Imagine Bruce having absolute meltdowns whenever someone brings up his kids ages:
Random gala guest: Your eldest has really grown up well! I'm sure he'll be having kids of his own soon!
Bruce, gripping extra tight on his champagne glass: He's too young to date.
Random gala guest: ?? Isn't he like twenty-
Bruce, unable to accept that Dick might one day start a family of his own and could forget him: He's. Too. Young.
———
Jason casually talking about how he actually graduated med school without the batfam knowing and has a whole med degree: And that's why I'm better than you, Bruce :)
Bruce, holding back tears because his last memory of Jason in school was right before he died and he was just starting highschool and damn he's really proud of Jason but on the other hand he never got to witness his son grow up and was never able to attend his highschool graduation and now he has to come to the realisation that Jason's a grown adult now: This is fine.
———
Tim: Wow I'm about to turn 18 soon, I wonder what I should do when I move out. Maybe travel the world?
Bruce, who still hasn't recovered from Dick and Jason moving out of the Manor even though they're practically there all the time now: How about you just never move out?
Tim: What? I was just-
Bruce, frantically: You can just be Robin again. Batman needs his robin which means you HAVE to live here forever.
Tim: Damian is rob-
Bruce: Well you can BOTH be Robin. Are we in agreement? Good. You're never leaving this house.
Tim:
———
Bruce bringing Damian a birthday cake: Happy 10th birthday, son :)
Damian: I'm thirtee-
Bruce: HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY, SON.
Poor Bruce just can't handle the thought of an empty nest.
After a while, the batkids just go along with it whenever they're around Bruce just to make him feel better lol
Gala guest: Oh wow! You've grown up so much since the last time I saw you! How old are you again?
Jason, grown ass adult, 6'0", built like a fucking tank with a voice that rivals, if not, surpasses Bruce's deep timber: I'm 15.
Bruce: :)

Batfam HC
Part 2
Tim has the most convincing fake tears out of them all. Second is Steph and third is Alfred.
Jason rarely uses actual names, instead he has a million nicknames for everyone. [it’s his way of distancing himself from everyone while also showing some affection but he’ll never say that]
Duke has secret handshakes with every hero and vigilante he’s ever come across and even a few of Gotham’s own Rouges.
Damian managed to keep a pet python and tiger cub hidden for two weeks before Bruce found out. Alfred knew of course but Damian’s pets are Damian’s responsibilities.
Cass has been responsible for the breaking of two grand chandeliers and no one knows. They all just immediately assume it was Dick.
The batkids don’t actually hate going to galas and balls as much as they complain they do, they all just enjoy giving Bruce a hard time. Making him a little guilty also guarantees special dessert afterwards to make up for it. [Bruce is very aware of this]
Steph has never gotten an actual license, she just uses the various bat made ones because she cannot be bothered to go to the dmv.
When very upset, exceptionally tired, or under heavy pain meds, Dick, Jason, and Damian all go back to speaking Romani, Spanish, and Arabic respectively on instinct.
Bruce is the only other person who knows the League Dialect Damian and Talia speak. Jason and Tim understand enough to piece some things together but cannot speak it.
Barbra successfully gaslit the entire family into thinking they forgot her birthday and she was two years older than she actually is. Crowning achievement in her book.
Gift giving is a nightmare in a family full of paranoid detectives so it instead turns into a game of keep away and trying to guess the gift.
Surprisingly it’s Alfred who is the hardest to surprise.

Ok we all know how batman can be paranoid with who his children are dated and Kon suffered and still suffer with this because batkids are also annoying and paranoid then Kon try warning Jon about how Jon can deal with it, but Jon doesn't have care because in truly Batfam loves Jon!
Jon is perfect for Dami and Dami is so happy, they love Jon and Jon knows very well how these bats are genius level idiots, then Jon doesn't ever fear them
And Dami's mother's side of the family? Thalia likes Jon, the boy is worthy of her son's love, Dami deserves the best and only the best and Jon is the best
The most difficult dinner I can think of is dinner with Ra's (Dami loves his family and wants everyone to get along, ok?) But in the end Ra's also approves Jon
Dami, talking about how perfect partner Jon is and also the perfect hero: this is why I chose him, grandfather
Ra's: .... he got his mother's test, I see
Jon, neither happy nor mad to stay here: I came here just to make it clear that I will not be merciful if anything bad happens to Dami
Ra's: You are more of a man than the detective my daughter fell in love with, you both have my blessing. Just tell me which months you want for the wedding and I will send the gifts
Note: Jon doesn't need anyone's blessing to get married with Damian, he just went in those dinners for sake of Dami happiness
I think Bruce will be grumpy about it at first and kind of has to be talked into it by Dick. Jon is safe for Damian. Jon won't hurt Damian. That kind of stuff.
I think Talia WON'T like Jon at first, and Ra's potentially couldn't care less/has no care for what Damian is doing (kind of ignoring the most recent iteration of hippie grandpa Ra's tbh). BUT then they see Jon defend Damian in some situation and are just so incredibly impressed by how merciless and violent the Super can actually be. So THEN, they approve. Ra's for the power, Talia for the clear love of Damian (and how it reminds her of her love for Bruce)
Jon thinks Talia could be cool, you know, if she wasn't trying to be evil. And just thinks Ra's is a big weirdo, and tells Damian as much.

The batkids are very confused as to why there are no pictures of young!Bruce hanging around in the Manor and they’re very confused and wondering if Bruce is embarrassed or paranoid or—
‘Hey Bruce,’ one of them eventually asks, ‘why are there no baby pictures of you? Or even child you?’
Bruce looks up from his phone. ‘I’m trans.’ And keeps on scrolling.
