K we know the drill, they are all together- hopefully in the future- even if any of them dies i'm gonna pretend i do not see 🙄 deadass gonna treat this like the jjba fandom- my faves are ALIVE AND WELL SHUT UP ARAKI-

Okay so there's some things that we have already mentioned in the previous headcanons- ill try to not repeat them unless they are necessary but ill also try to treat this as its own post and lightly repeat them real quick too-

N and V started out fighting over Uzi, and Uzi obviously was mostly into N at first- but after a while i guess Vs advances got to her- especially since she was- in a way- so desperate for attention/affection, so it felt a little overwhelming to her but in a good way. they very obviously flirted with her which got them silently treating it as a challenge- and Uzi being Uzi obviously loved the attention she got out of it- opting to let this just... kinda continue lmao. she didn't expect to let it go far enough for her to end up with both of them but here we are XD

We slightly touched this topic before about V but to reiterate- all of them have different levels of trauma that they all deal with and currently V has gone through the worst of it, both having to endure Cyn's torture in her mindspace and also having to watch N get slaughtered in front of her and possibly even having a hand in it. She fears losing people that mean to her so she became avoidant with a difficult personality to guard whatever's left of her. It took a really long time for her to decide to be with the two and to protect them and not run away from her feelings for anyone or anything. but some days its still difficult for her so sometimes N and Uzi have to literally trap her into a wrestling cuddle pile or something to get her to just... exist, without feeling like the whole universe is weighing her down. N and Uzi want her to know they are there to protect HER from those inner demons too.

sometimes the cuddle piles end up with N and V once again trying to get Uzi's attention lmao which ends up with them being a little too horny on main- whoops :) - everything starts with a little nibble here, a small bite there - maybe some pillow fights and climbing over eachother or holding one another down in different positions- aaaand then they wake up a few hours later with Uzi having regrets cuz these two are horny as f-

ANYWAY- N is probably the most patient of the 3, and although he usually never breaks up fights because he trusts the other two to handle their own problems without him needing to mom them, sometimes Uzi and V go a lil too far and he gets very tired of dealing with this kind of behavior. he never blows up at them- but he usually goes away to take a breather- sometimes hanging out with Thad or the other drones- and during this time Uzi and V kinda feel bad- but then they would think of stuff like maybe planning dates or getting food for him, draw stuff on cards and etc- or go around trying to find gifts to make him happy<3 sometimes they might add some extra kisses and unwinding sessions in the end as an extra treat :p N always forgives them obviously, he just needs some guys night out every once in a while or something lmao-

Getting close to Uzi became an excuse for N and V to get closer to eachother too. ironically, it first started with them bantering about who is better at what- but then it turned into unironically flirting and teasing eachother- but after a while they realized their relationship isn't going to ever be the same as what it was back in their old days but its also something completely new, so they become more willing to accept one another and explore their newer dynamic.

they all love being coddled and pampered every now and then. Uzi and V may not outright admit it- but they really do too. so they take turns with who they put in the middle of receiving affection :p

N and V are VERYYYYYY over protective of Uzi. to the point that they wouldn't even let the doctor [for tech repair obviously] check Uzi or touch her in any way when she had a small virus case lol. Khan had to pay the poor doctor extra for that.... deciding to leave his daughter in her room in a cuddle pile of two murderous demons that have glowing cat eyes every time he comes in the room smh.

V and N really like cuddling Uzi and sticking their hands under her clothes. or sometimes just flat out sleeping or cuddling naked. its less of a sexual thing and more so to do with the fact that the two MD's have higher body temperature and a less efficiant body for cooling- since they have a more compact torso and a lot less oil and coolant fluids going through them [since they need to consume it continuously] and having a bunch of working nanobots and nanites shoved into them to turn into weapons/wings/etc- and Uzi- although having the AS- is still very much less in need of cooling due to still having a more efficient body design for a "exoplanetary worker unit", with a still functioning cooling system inside that doesn't necessarily need extra oil to make it work unless under stressful conditions.... even if she probably does have worms and fleshy tentacles inside her now lmao. But either way Uzi's body is still a lot colder than the others so she's usually shared in the middle and at this point Uzi cant even be embarrassed when they slide their hands under her clothes and grab her wherever smh..... although V also does it as a semi possessive thing so there's that pfft. she was especially handsy after that doctor left XDDD.

Yes Uzi has very much in fact ended up at the medical/tech repair unit multiple times because N and V have sometimes ended up being a bit too much for her to handle- and the doctor [a character yall shall meet later] has absolutely had it. She had to literally sit the 3 down, explain to them their body differences via scans and the damages they may cause Uzi and it was basically the robot version of having "the talk" with your child- and Uzi wanted to die there and then.

Uzi sometimes just tells the two to drink blood from her- the first time they wanted to share oil they were scared about accidentally causing Uzi to overheat- but after a few times of trying it, they continued doing it more frequently either by kissing and regurgitating or taking turns to bite Uzi or vice versa. N and V typically don't use one another's oil because they already have high usage as it is, it wouldn't be efficient. admittedly N and V always have concerns when it came to biting Uzi- but somehow they found out Uzi actually enjoys it a little when they do it and well...they get ideas lmao- they just make sure to lick her indents clean with their regenerative saliva to make the AS work as little as possible on Uzi's body.

N really enjoys seeing his partners smooch..... for study purposes ofc lmao- actually he uses his visor to take pictures sometimes- let the man be a little horny in peace smh. and don't worry Uzi and V know all this- they just wanna tease him a little bit :p

Uzi and N usually chit chat while they are in the bed until they fall asleep- but V prefers to just hug Uzi on the side listening to them while they talk until she falls asleep too

they love going around in human based areas with shops and stuff to find books to read together or any other fun human stuff they can find- maybe table top games? lol- V goes for the sports stuff. she kinda wanna try hitting something with a bat...

How do you find time to write so much? I want to write but when i have time it feels like nothing happens. I know taking part in fandom isnt required but i do love it and no matter how many people tell me that turning up with one fic every few months is ok i want to do more than that. So help me, mj-wan, youre my only hope. How do you make your writing muse play fair?

Unfortunately, my personal answer to this question is a combination of chronic insomnia, ADHD hyperfocus, and unemployment lmao. I can't say I recommend the first two, and the third involves having a spouse that both has a really good job and is also super fucking chill, so YMMV. HOWEVER, I do think that unfortunately there's a lot to be said for habit-building; I have entire fics that have been written one "Oh god it's Wednesday/Sunday and I have no snippets to share, I'll just add 300 words to this doc" at a time. For my original novel I'm definitely taking the 'minimum wordcount per day, if I hate it that's a problem for editing but just get something on the page' approach and I don't know if it would work for ME for fic but it might be something that would work for you!

Also I absolutely one THOUSAND percent recommend finding a hype person or two to just fucking... scream at you about whatever you're writing. It is -- at least for me -- incredibly motivating to wake up to a series of keysmashes/emojis/WHERE IS THE RESTs from my friends when I'm losing steam or generally feeling like finishing something is too hard.

Also also! I think there's been this real push towards long-ass fics recently and I am here to tell you officially that bite-sized fics are ALSO FUCKING DELICIOUS. Obviously fics will be as long as the story needs them to be but for example setting the 1889 word limit on the speakeasy bartender Henry fic gave me a LOT of mental freedom to just... skate over stuff and trust that my readers are smart enough to fill in the blanks. I thrive on a challenge, so if you do too, set yourself one! The fic must be exactly 1000 words, or exactly 666 words, or every paragraph must start with a letter of RED WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE, or... whatever makes it fun for you. Fanfiction is supposed to be FUN FOR YOU and other people are being given the opportunity to read your stuff!

(Personally, I'm fucking delighted by the 'turns up with an absolute banger once every few months and then disappears again' authors, but I absolutely hear that that's not what you WANT to be, which is so beyond fair.)

I do understand wanting your favorite couple to end up together and imagining how that might happen and there's enough people on both sides of the ship war to convey the idea that yes, both Lucien and Az are equally appealing love interests for Elain.

But, E/riel shippers constantly try to erase everything that Elain and Lucien have both been through as a result of their mating bond snapping and that's frustrating, as if SJM mating two main characters on page in the second book is really just a throw away story-line that was only put into place to build up to an E/riel endgame. Elain struggled with Graysens rejection, partially because of her mating bond? Didn't have to happen because her bond wasn't real! Lucien feeling immense guilt because of Jesminda and thinking Elain was the most beautiful female he'd ever seen? Shouldn't have felt it because Elain isn't really your mate!! Suffering longing for 2 years because of not having an accepted bond with Elain? Didn't need to happen because his bond wasn't real!!

It would be like watching a movie and witnessing the character experiencing intense inner turmoil for the entire 2 hours, a constant push and pull of emotions and fighting instincts and sorrow and longing and at the end of the 2 hours.....they wake up. And it was all a dream.

There is just no point for SJM to take the characters and readers through that kind of journey if it was for naught.

At least the choice argument is rooted in them acknowledging that yes the Elucien bond is real but when they work themselves into a frenzy on TikTok, Tumblr, Twitter, etc, claiming they now have proof of a fake Elucien bond, confirmed in entirely different series it's just mind blowing. They actually think SJM is so eager to confirm E/riel in Bryce's book that she's unraveled everything she's written about Elucien in HOFAS rather than remembering that HOFAS is BRYCE's book. SJM loves all her characters but there's this really weird vibe that E/riels put out that she loves E/riel the most.

lmao uh. known angst goblin meg redbelles here, but i honestly didn't have to do much work to the canon endings of robert baratheon (the clouds will form a crown) or judas iscariot (in the violence of our dreams) to make them even more horrifically angsty, so. one of those, probably!

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

i don't tend to go for out and out happy endings—i prefer bittersweet—but i feel like the answer is either the mercy wheel, which fixes dany’s gabarge season eight character arc, or tongue’s talkin’ riddles (sticky sweet), which gives chrissy and eddie a mostly happy future together instead of horrible deaths in deeply cursed hawkins

and! for what it's worth! the chimneys hardly ever fall down is going to end on a happy note! they're just going to have to Suffer a lot to get there! it's fine!

to crib from a previous answer: unless you speak the language, it gets real dicey real fast. i personally avoid it unless a) it’s a canonical term/phrase, like all the faux-russian bullshit in the grisha trilogy, or b) i can check the grammar/usage with a native speaker or someone who is solidly fluent

recency bias talking here, but i am so, so, so fond of the chimneys hardly ever fall down; i challenged myself to write the first chapter as one continuous scene (i feel like i sometimes abuse scene breaks to heighten tension), and honestly i think i nailed it. also, this sequence:

Maybe he is drunk. That would make sense. He’s going to wake up and find himself alone at the bottom of a bottle. Back in the cold blue, Fort shot to shit and tumbling from the sky like a wounded bird, trailing fire and screaming as she falls. Maybe he won’t wake up at all— maybe he’s dead in a potato field, a ghost who never made it back in the first place. His heart can’t fucking take it.

so i'm gonna ramble about my girl <333

adgvcfbvsdhnbhjkk i love mary so much!!!! she's so interesting and complicated and there's so much unexplored potential!! like, the conflict between wanting to help her friends in the war, but also the need to keep herself and her family safe? plus the headcanon that she obliviated herself?! amazing gimme 14.

i like to think that she was born in a family where her mum, michelle, was a nurse and was barely ever home, and her dad, brian, was a teacher and usually was preoccupied with school and other things, so mary kinda raised herself and her little brother benjamin. she was also very close with her cousins, her extended family was pretty tight-knit. when she got her letter, dumbledore came and explained to her immediate family, then said that nobody but her parents and brother could know. so her cousins assumed she was off at a fancy boarding school and kinda drifted apart from her, which really disappointed mary :(.

when she first got to hogwarts it was really nerve-wracking for her, since she knew nobody and sat alone on the train. but when she was sorted into gryffindor and met with applause, she quickly found her place with alice fortescue <3 (alice took all of the gryffindor girls under her wing; lily, marlene, mary, etc. (she reminded mary a lot of her older female cousins and that helped her feel a lot more comfortable) (go alice!!))

her favorite colour is pink <333 specifically like a deep raspberry pink.

speaking of which, raspberry cheesecake cookies are her favorite food ever. ironically though, strawberries are her favorite fruit.

marlene was her first love, but they were tragically right person, wrong time. marlene wanted a great, romantic love, and mary just couldn't give her that.

after marlene dies, she can't take the pain anymore, so she moves to new york and obliviates herself.

mary has a very unhealthy obsession with cherry vanilla coke (totally not projecting here).

her birthday is march 8th!

i think mary actually struggled a lot with nightmares after mulciber imperioed her. (is that what we've decided on? the fandom changes what he did to her like every second, i can't keep up 😭) but yeah, her focus is never quite the same: she zones out a lot more often, has trouble recognizing herself in the mirror, and wakes up from nightmares of doing horrible things to someone but not being in control of herself.

i read a fic once where her real name was marisol, and while i don't personally headcanon that i think it's the cutest thing ever <3

mary had a very unrequited love for lily for almost two years. she doesn't remember when she fell for her, but it plagued her for so long, pining for someone that was very clearly in love with someone else (even if lily hadn't realized it yet). this was the same time that marlene fell hard for mary. (which was what made the marylene arc even more tragic- mary was half in love with lily, half trying to get over her by being with marlene. (she realized she loved marlene during the war, but marlene was with dorcas, and then marlene was gone.))

mary has a miserable habit of falling in love with people too late (me too girl me too).

she has matching heart-shaped sunglasses with marlene and sirius!

she doesn't smoke cigarettes very often (she prefers to smoke weed with peter) but when she does, she makes sure that they're stained pink from her lipsticks and then she puts them in her scrapbooks

she scrapbooks!! everything!! photos, cigarette buttes, receipts, movie tickets, wrapping paper, literally anything that reminds her of a memory. she has a box under her bed in her dorm that's specifically filled with scrapbooks she's made over the years. she packs them with her when she moves to new york, and they're what eventually break the obliviate spell.

mary never quite felt right having magic. she loved it, but as the war progressed, she grew to hate it, and eventually just escaped back into the muggle world.

she gives friendship bracelets to all of the marauders & co <3 (the boys are too proud to admit it, but they never take them off)

mary has a concerning addiction to lipgloss

she always wanted an older sister :(

her favorite abba song was "when i kissed the teacher". she'd tease remus while singing it because all of the marauders knew he dreamed of being a professor one day

she and sirius were each other's first kiss. they dated for a little while, but mary could very clearly tell that sirius wasn't into it, so she broke it off.

she almost always wore her hair natural, so for april fool's day she had peter help her put it in bright pink braids (he was a fast learner and surprisingly competent at it, so she recruited him for help more often after). watching sirius scream in the morning was one of her best memories.

out of the marauders, she's closest to peter. they clicked immediately and gossip about everything and everyone as they get stoned

mary knows better than to play chess against him though

mary is notorious for meddling in love lives, but in a good way. she's very socially smart, and accepts bribes for helping a poor bloke get a girlfriend or whatnot. however, she only helps if it's clear there's chemistry: if not, she's not going to waste her time on it. (this is how most of the school owes her)

mary never backs down from a challenge. she's the reigning champion of truth or dare (she has a flimsy paper crown from a christmas cracker with "truth or dare queen" written on it).

she really likes the game marbles for some reason. no one knows why but she begs someone to play it with her all the time. she also collects marbles.

she's british with jamaican roots <3

she's an amazing dancer. like it's insane how fluidly she moves and makes it all look effortless

mary kisses everyone. lips, cheeks, foreheads, hands, arms- everyone gets a kiss somewhere. it's how she displays affection. it's also adorably hilarious when she kisses a first year on the head and they get all flushed and confused. she just giggles and goes over to join one of her many, many, many friends

mary is friends with practically everyone, but she's only close with the marauders & co. peter, lily, remus, and marlene are the only ones she actually opens up to :(

AraSol: You’ve been in the fandom for a very long time and/or you love relationships that just seamlessly work together, ships that Make Sense and are right there with no subtext and you love both of these characters and want them to be happy. This is a very classic ship and they are literally perfect for each other whether you read it pale or flushed

SolTav: You love nerdy boys, you love ships with characters that have similar interests but near opposite personalities, and you also love crack shipping

Solkat: This is no hate to arasol truthers, but if you prefer mlm ships, this is the sollux ship that makes the most sense/is the best. it has the most feel good potential. You understand/love both the characters very well, but you also love the spice that their dynamic brings

SolNep: You like opposites attract and you also like ships that have a gimmick. She lays on his keyboard and chews his wires, and also brightens his day and cracks at his grumpy boy exterior. Maybe you like Nepkat but don’t like the canon baggage where he’s mean to her

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Primarily the simon snow series and all for the game. I recently got into young royals so a few there as well, plus one each for a couple other shows I like.

Like rory my top 5 are all andreil! aftg has a large and voracious readership. Better than Sex (4k, T) / Eating Well (1k, T) / Needing/Getting (3k, T) / Friendly Neighborhood Vamp (.5k, T) / Soak up the Sun (.5k, T)

Usually yes! Sometimes I go through spells of not replying…but I’m grateful for every single kudos and comment, it’s amazing and wonderful <3

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

This is tough bc i love me a happy ending and i don’t really do angst anyway lmao. My joke answer is my crack andreil fic Monday, but maybe the real answer is my snowbaz fic+song Breakable bc I left off before things get fully resolved (but it is clearly hopeful imo).

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The happiEST?? Hmmm. I think my overall Happiest fic might be like, Mon Chou? And Better than Sex. both of those are just like, gooey with happiness. And both have happy endings so I’ll say one of them. Actually from a different approach I’ll say my time loop fic has the happiest ending bc it’s probably the angstiest thing I’ve written haha so the ending is such a relief.

I have not!! Super grateful for everyone who leaves lovely warm positive comments on my work <3333 

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Not on my own LOL. i do have some M/E fics in my works though thanks to some collabs (see Q13 lol) <3

I have not! I think about it sometimes….it’s just usually hard for me to imagine a world where all my blorbos live, even though I almost only write AUs…a mystery

Yes, which is wild!!! I think several of my Vandrew fics and BtS have been translated into russian. Thank you translators, you’re incredible.

Yes!! This was one of my most fun and treasured early fandom experiences with @facewithoutheart and @martsonmars <3 published results include The Chain (i was really just losing my mind in the doc while christina wrote tbh) and The Muse’s Waking which is probably the weirdest thing I’ve ever (partially) written hahah

Making me chooooooose ugh. Idk man i reread a snowbaz fic today and almost cried and they were my first fandom love so today i’m going to say them <3 

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I recently picked up a fic i abandoned 2 years ago so now i’m like well never say never! But one that’s in my “this is in the past now” pile that i was just thinking about is my andreil Alex Rider (TV) AU. i actually had an idea for how to get around the bit i was stuck on while rewatching Alex Rider the other day sooo…. But likely still abandoned

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think, somewhat incongruously, 1) writing concisely and 2) setting a mood. I think both these things are true in say Weightless (andreil, 1k, T).

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

PLOT. plot is so hard. That’s too broad of an answer so i’ll say, keeping multiple storylines/arcs progressing at once. I don’t do it much. It’s a fun challenge though. I usually write little one-shot, single-conflict fics bc that comes easier for me. 

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Love it. Not fluent in any other language enough to really do it justice but i’d like to.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I think i wrote some hp and some jane austen fic before i ever got into Fandom Proper lol. First published fandom was for the Simon Snow Series <3

I think the one i’ve gone back to the most is Weightless. I set it in one of my favorite IRL places and it has tender blood drinking so. How could I beat that, really?

Hello! I'm doing a rewatch of Supernatural! I started this halfway through season 9 and it's the first time I've done this. I've seen the first 6 seasons multiple times over the 18ish years but never caught up so I'm doing that now and having a wonderful show. I would honestly watch these two idiots do anything! People like you, and those on twitter who say exactly the same stuff and even make fun of topics like rape, SA etc are what make me feel ashamed to be connected with as a (former) Rammstein fan.

Did you really think anything would come out of this? You don't need to study law to know that it is hardly possible to proof anything in these cases, some really long ago. It is not even that any of the victims sued him. I wonder if you even understand what actually was/is going on.

This all is not about Till being some evil criminal who will definitely go into prison. If you think that it is absolutely fine that a 47 year old man had a sexual relationship with a 15 year old, basically a child, you can't be helped. It is not against the laws, no, because there were 'real feelings of love'. Basically none of the things Till did or does are really against the law, more like in a grey zone. The whole row zero system, the pressure the (young) girls were put into because they thought they could join a backstage party with all members, all the girls waking up next to members and not remembering anything.

I simply think that he is a massive asshole, he does certainly not respect women the way I thought for a long time or the fandom portrays. He is abusing his power as a man, as someone who is famous and idolized by many people and it's no problem because he is a 'rockstar'. I love Rammstein's music and I want to believe them, but I don't put strangers over my moral beliefs. Most people in the fandom seem to lack even critical thinking, because, no way that our teddybear and his family - who act as one right know but clearly said they are very distant to him by now - could do anything wrong!

but ALSO like, in general I would love to see more ancient memories because we don't get enough! I want to see him and Pandora in Antioch! Him and Mael the night the met! Him and Avicus! MAYBE THE MAEL'S HEAD SCENE? Him being groomed for his own murder! Him crying on the floor trying to clean Eudoxia's blood! Cuddling into the sarcophagus with Pandora! Making out with Avicus!

I was just thinking yesterday that next time I have money to waste I wanna commission art of him and Mael when they'd sit together and Mael would try to teach him songs. :(

18. I LOVE SUFFERING but i do like the contrast of hurt/comfort. We need the comfort to make the hurt gooder. But like I think !! Sometimes in different fandoms, you'll see that the themes of the source material pop up over and over in fics and stuff, and I think with VC it's such a huge theme that people just want to be loved, and how monsters can still be loved, and how we are not our worst deeds, that we can fuck up and still have value.

And it's a theme that I think gets applied unevenly in the canon, especially in the later books as Anne was just like keyboard smashing the blorbos and having fun. So like, since the POVs are so Lestat-Heavy we get a lot of Lestat knowing he's a bastard and still desiring love and goodness, and then other characters are loved unconditionally and we never really acknowledge that they're bastards, or I think steps get skipped where Lestat essentially winds up being the flawless Mary Sue character who is never accountable for anything he does--we still make it from Point A (fuckup does something terrible) to Point B (he is still loved) but I think it becomes less nuanced in the later books and we don't really spend time with the redemption arc. (An example is like, TOBT is ALL about how he fucks up and we really look closely at it and work through it, vs in the PL trilogy when he like noncon bites David and it's all fine and we don't even talk about it.) And using Lestat as an example because he gets the most screentime, but Marius is exactly the same, and it's further complicated that we never get POV from characters who dislike him LOL.

So to answer your question like, I love seeing him suffer because I love angst LOL but I root for him, I want him to know peace, and I think the story has a lot more potential for nuance than what we got in the books, which is why fandom is here. THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF TRANSFORMATIVE FICTION LOL. (To me lol, that's my mission here.) But if he doesn't suffer first there's no real value in his being at peace, that's boring LMAO where's the FLAVOR where's the CONFLICT; let him fuck up and suffer and destroy his entire life first so that we have a puzzle to work out to make his way back.
