I'll prob read the manga but for now. I get that the focus (just like any shonen) is other elemente: youth, world building, tensions from the story, emotional growth &c. But I'm pissed that we (anime watcher here) only see Yuki now. Up to now everyone is somewhere on the pro jujutsu world scale. Reformist at best (Gojo).

I want characters who want to uproot this feudal order. LET YUKI SPEAK

#jujutsu kaisen #it's really disappointing liking the concept and the politics of a shonen anime #there's no like shonen 'genre' but from my experience there's rarely a radical message in here #the political imagination of these characters always start and end with the existing social order #jjk yuki #the geto case I'll unpack some other time but honestly im closer to his aspirations than anyone else #I'd somewhat jokingly say he's a victim of the classic case of radical voice in fiction suddenly murderous and genocidal now #but im not satisfied w that analysis #satosugu
