Hate the fact that I'm finally at the part of this fic that I have been thinking about writing for literal months at this point and I'm sitting in the break room at work on my lunch so I don't get to make little noises while I write

#the little noises are important to me #they really help the creative process #just being able to go like 'oh shit'#or proper noises when the characters are going through it #(which they will be in this part)#but im super excited to finally write it #its really the climax of this chapter #theres gonna be a fight scene and everything #im gonna try to make that fight scene good #its very important to me #cause ive been thinking about it for so fucking long #it needs to be exactly as it is in my head #but its just this and the falling action and i will be done with this fic #i would guess all of that is gonna take like another 5k words or so #im a few words away from 18k for two chapters though #this finale is literally a whole ass fic in and of itself #i think im gonna try to post the first part of it on the 22nd though #thats yosuke's birthday #so it makes sense to me #i might still write a little birthday one shot #but i dont know yet #well see

does anyone have like an anti aesthetic. like something you look at and can recognize as a complete fashion/interior design/artistic movement and understand it but it makes you shudder seeing it. i am not talking like “its morally bad” “its poorly structured” like just sheerly devoid of joy for you actually invites a repulse response.

#also if it wasnt clear this isnt ‘its bad its lazy’ there is a level of like #completion consistancy i am thinking for with this #personally i really do not enjoy the like. vintage chic long red nails fur coats noir esque aesthetic HOWEVER 💥💥💥#i can recognize that it is put together it is Intentional #i feel like a lot of people are going to say minimalism on this so LET ME SAY 🫰☝️ i recognize that minimalism is Considered an aesthetic #but i *PERSONALLY* do not consider it an aesthetic i consider it the void of one #it is a lapse in aesthetic or personality in the same way a silence in a song is still technically a ‘beat’ but no music is played #however the importance of Space or Breath in design is more akin to a purposeful silence in music #because that silence matters in the same way rhythm and breath in design do #so i guess minimalism is more comparable to like. white noise. the sound of a fan #very little effort and there is a comfort in it i suppose but its not. A Design. okay #TO ME 🤫#if minimalism has one hater its me if minimalism has no haters im dead

on that subject, obsessed with today when i was like "hey guys, can you two stop playing the jumping game for now because it's giving caden a headache" and my 6 yr old cousin is like "you mean 'me'. it's giving 'me' a headache, because your caden". it's like yeah man ur right. my bad . and then they stopped jumping. it was awesome

#the thing is like. the jumping hurt my headright away #but i let them do it for a while before they told them to stop. and then they did #and i think thats part of it too. for somw things you have to wait and let kids have whay they want for a while before swooping in and #asking for them to stop #so they dont feel super controlled #and like. as an autistic person I HAVE TO DO THAT ANYWAY USUALLY #there's so many adult people out there who i have to put up witj their noises because i KNOW if i ask for them to stop theyll get mad #or even on a lesser extent. like as an autistic person w my sorta issues. you have to a let a lot of things go that are genuenly painful #and stressful. bc if u ask people to do things too much they often get upset. even if theyre overall nice #same with kids #but with kids you get to ask them to stop way more and you get to ask earlier than you would with most adults #like. ill be trying to put up with somethinf and struggling and get to the ppont where im visibly shaking and stuttering and on the verge #of tears #and the mere request of 'could you turn the tv ofd #still gets whole ass adults telling me im entitled and bossy #meanwhile child will hear 'thats making me feel bad' and theyll hear that and theyll think about it #and often times theyll stop #and even when they dont they dont insult you!#and people still say little kids are annoying????#when i tell a little kid 'could you turn the sound off on the video game or take it to another room the sounds its making are upsetting me #they LISTEN.#adults have a strong tendency to #use the ironicallt imature logic of ' i like this thing. so it dosent matter if it is upsetting you. i like it so i want to have it. even #though we are in a shared space together. i wont change what im doing because i want to do the thing i like. and thats more important than #not upsetting you. because doing the thing i like makes ME feel good.'#like. litterallt this mindset is easily more promient in adults than small children 100% . on god #and its just about the most childish thing ever.#its understandable. but its immature #and with something this simple its silly people cant let that go. its not complex at all. its stop making noise it is hurting me. easy

#potato rambles n speaks #the smell of the water.. the noises... the buff pterodactyl... it has it all #its trying to be scary (and it can be!! a little) but it isnt really scary #the scariest thing about the jurassic jungle boat ride is when the animatronic dinosaurs lean over you #(all the animatronics are in disrepair and im worried theyll fall and crush me)#10/10 Will go on again always and forever #ok i lied it can be scary. there are 3 options w/ the ride. loving and adoring it. thinking its cheesy. terror #everyone should go on the jurassic jungle boat ride at least once (unless flashing lights at bad for you. in which case avoid it)#its a v important experience

another thing im very glad sv did over swsh was make tera raid mons 100% catchable. can you imaagine how miserable itd be trying to get these apriball starters if not..... and repeat balls had to be used for the best shot....

#the shell looks alright to me but oh the burst effect is too much #on an unrelated note i ordered a couple of things with a gift card i was given #an xbox controller and some noise cancelling headphones #headphones are.. very important to me. good to have an extra pair #and a controller so i can play games on my pc i struggle with keyboard on #p5 plays nicely with a mouse and keyboard tho #i only struggle with camera movements a little

learning how to use shotcut has genuinely restored my self esteem and sense of accomplishment

#chatbox #its like movie maker with extra steps i got it for its simplicity #and ill fully admit multiple times i came quite close to throwing myself into a vat of exploding jelly. but i learnt quicker than i thought #you have to like. set your own default image length. and if youve already had images in a playlist it doesnt work. you have to like #set the default time length. and THEN import your images ONLY THEN will those images be the default time you set.#it took me an embarrassing amount of time for me to figure out that one. also theres noises when you rewind. i. dont like that #if u can turn that off pls lmk thatd be great. not a huge inconvenience but it throws me wayyyy off.#i feel a lot more accomplished than i have in a while. in years even. its just a little bit but its made me so genuinely happy?#not sure if i can disclose EXACTLY why m doin this howeverrr i did rb a couple things about it. keep your eyes peeled august 31st!

Is it just me making assumptions at first glance (I am skipping around someone else's footage of 2) or did the creators of KNACK 2 diminish the identities of the different sizes of Knack? The distinctions I made in 1 were arbitrary before, but now even more so. Or maybe they just don't fall along the same lines...

I noticed it a little when playing myself; cracking open those crates, Small Knack and Short Knack did Not have the usual gangly appearance that characterized them in 1, and I couldn't distinguish them well. The same seems to be so with Short Knack and Tall Knack - I just can't figure out why. It's like the whole graduation has been turned into a gradient pointing almost straight-on to a modified Tall Knack and only then might pivot to Hero Knack as he grows even larger. Little Knack's metal skirt which would usually be carried into his later forms is forgotten ASAP.

This change in the graduations of his design might be foreshadowed in the museum room? Little Knack to some variation of Short/Tall Knack, to Hero Knack, then Boss Knack. The subtle distinctions in his smaller forms are forgotten because he usually skips those in 2.

But this is all conjecture mostly. I haven't observed as closely as I like, and my brain won't let me play the games because it's still butthurt about the 'best-picture' thing.
