so i disappeared for three months because i was going through a divorce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my muse up and left me!!!!! i was left with our two kids, the missing link and two knights defence, not to mention our eldest, the horcrux hunt, who despite being complete still needs some help. it was overwhelming and it came out of nowhere and i've now sworn off women, but if you know any hot sexy singles in the area to help me take my mind off it, please send them in my direction and i will make an exception, or possibly many many exceptions, because i love women

I've been having some MvA thoughts lately so... Monster Origin Swap! :3c

Dr. Ginormica - A mad scientist who's marriage went incredibly sour after her husband started taking credit for her inventions. In response, Susan created a growth ray and used it on herself so she could never be in someone's shadow ever again, literally and figuratively. While overall a polite and friendly individual, once revenge enters her mind there's hardly anything that'll stop Dr. Ginormica from achieving it. Out of all the monsters she hates Monger the most and only just barely tolerates him.

Mr. Cockroach - Once an ordinary human who was just about to hit it big in the dance industry. His life took an unexpected turn when a meteorite struck him and turned him into a half-human/half-cockroach hybrid. He would prefer it if you didn't call him by his monster moniker and wishes to go by as Herbert. Easily the most pessimistic member but still keeps on going, even if it's aimless.

L.I.N.K. - A top secret government experiment made during the cold war. L.I.N.K stands for Lethal Indestructible Non-Negotiating Killer. However, he proved to be too much to contain and went on a rampage, attacking both sides of the conflict effortlessly. Thankfully time in Area Fifty Something has actually chilled him out and L.I.N.K. hardly wants to do any fighting anymore and would much rather chill and have fun. But under the right circumstances his programming can kick in and it is not a pretty sight to behold as he can easily go toe-to-toe against even the likes of Dr. Ginormica.

The Question Mark - No one quite knows what Mark is. Is he a prehistoric unevolved creature? An evolutionary dead end? An alien? An alien experiment? No one knows. Any attempts to get answers just result in more questions! Mark himself doesn't even seem to know. All that can really be inferred is that he's been frozen in ice for quite some time till he was thawed out. For the longest time he was unable to communicate with others till technology advanced enough for a text to speech device in place of a mouth. Mark hopes to one day find more of his kind as surely there's more of him out there somewhere. He easily gets along best with Mr. Cockroach.

I watched the directors commentary of Monsters Vs Aliens last night and now it's one of my favorite things ever. I absolutely love hearing about things that I didn't know about the movie.

Here's some of my favorite things that I learned from the commentary:

There was a completely different script for the movie, the monsters where originally going to escape Area Fifty something. (This version is on the PS2 game I believe.)

When Derek broke up with Susan, she was originally going to go on a rampage in Modesto in a rage. GOOD FOR HER GIRL!!!

The porage in Susan's opening scene in the prison? Yeah that was Shreks swamp mud.

The cows you see taken into the facility, they use those in the Bee movie

Paul Rudd (Derek), cringed saying some of his lines because he absolutely hated Derek

The directors where really proud with Susan's hair, it took a while to perfect

Speaking of her hair, she originally was going to wear her hair up but the directors said that costed too much money so they kept it down

That scene where she was kinda hit with the meteorite, and she goes 'OUUUGH' wasn't Reese, they had a separate woman do that.

On the topic of Reese, she was shown the scene where Susan's being chased by the robot and they asked her to do grunts, yells, and groans for the scene, so as she was watching the clip, she was doing the sounds as the scene played so they just have a 60 minute what they called 'Reese Witherspoon workout' lmao

Mama Dietl is voiced by one of the directors, I forgot his name, but he actually has one thumb shorter then the other, which I thought was funny

The grandma playing the piano? Yeah that was an unused male Shrek character they just put hair and eyelashes on

The scene where Gallaxhar is drinking the coffee or tea in his ear was originally going to be him lowering the cup of tea/coffee below the camera then he spits it out. The directors watched that and where like Ooooooh, uh, no I don't think we should do that.....

Well, those are the ones I remember! Enjoy these, if you didn't know some of them.

Went to the premiere party for the Laika studios exhibit at the Museum of Pop Culture tonight! It was so cool to see puppets and props up close and in person! I'll try to add more photos in a reblog so check there for the other films.
