So uh, hmm. I guess WB and HBOMax being all “YOU CAN’T USE JOHN CONSTANTINE BECAUSE WE’RE GONNA USE JOHN CONSTANTINE” to Legends of Tomorrow & Matt Ryan (who literally made the character popular again) as well as presumably to the showrunners of Sandman was rather presumptuous.
Unless they plan on using him in Doom Patrol or something, but tbh I’d be pretty pissed if Batgirl got cancelled for a Constantine movie.
Also I got rather fond of Welsh John Constantine dammit.

I’ve noticed a lot of rancid takes about Taliesin’s characters that are annoying me, so I’m going to rant for a minute.
Tal has perfected the art of creating paradoxical characters, and I think a lot of people end up getting lost and confused in the layers. This is not a “if you don't get it, you’re dumb” type of thing. It’s just that I wish people would truly ponder his characters and why they’re the way they are because they’re not the stereotypical protagonists that North American entertainment focuses on. They’re not strictly kind and generous, intelligent and charming, or hateful and arrogant. They’re all of the above.
A lot of western media features characters that are fairly cut and dry and easy to understand. There isn’t a ton of complexity happening, and from what I’ve seen, the majority of the people hating on his characters and role-play style are from areas where they aren't used to Tal’s type of character. They’re not used to characters having multiple characteristics that seem to contradict each other all at once (even though that’s how people are in real life). I’m guessing that’s part of why they don't like them, but who knows.
Caduceus is the least paradoxical of his characters, which is why I think most people say he’s their favorite of Tal’s characters. He is the personification of a fluffy blanket and a warm hug. What’s not to love?? Percy, Molly/Kingsley, and Ashton on the other hand, are all much rougher around the edges. The point of them is to provide the opposite of comfort for the audience; they're meant to make people a little uncomfortable. They hold up a mirror to the audience and force us to look at the parts of humanity that we try to avoid. Not the pure evil of mankind that Matt’s villains often show, but something even more sad and hard to swallow.
Audiences tend to like characters that deal with trauma through humor and/or charm. People benefit from these types of characters by laughing at them or lusting over them. There’s nothing wrong with this by any means; that’s all part of the fun of fandom! However, characters that deal with their trauma in ways that are more raw and painful tend to be disliked.
Percy is filled with constant fear that his past will haunt his future. He is convinced that wherever he goes, the darkness will follow and the pain awaits. He has horrible nightmares and lives with incessant paranoia, yet faces the deadliest monsters, demons, gods, etc with nothing but his wit and a gun. He can't stop inventing, not just to glorify himself but to protect everyone. He’s so many things at once, which is what makes him so real and complex and fascinating.
Molly/Kingsley’s story is about wondering who you truly are and not meeting expectations of those you care about. Imagine that you’re not the only one comparing yourself to someone else; all your friends are too. You’re trying to figure out what defines you while feeling like everyone you know wants you to be someone else. His story is also filled with questions about nihilism and whether or not anything truly matters, including identity.
Ashton represents the endless loneliness of abandonment and feeling like no matter what you do, those you love will never care about you as much as you care about them. He pushes people away and acts like he doesn’t have a care in the world while simultaneously doing everything he can to grip onto his friends. He is jealous of Laudna for the way she died because it showed how loved she was, and how sick is that? To be jealous of someone’s death? To try and force someone to admit that they haven’t gotten over their issues because you can’t accept that it’s possible to overcome yours? What's wrong with you? If it’s possible for people to do that, why can't you? What’s wrong with you? Why is it so hard for you when it seems so easy for others? What’s wrong with you? They represent not just the physical, but the emotional chronic pain that most people don’t have to think about every day.
I have so much more to say about these amazing characters, but that would take an entire novel. They emotionally bleed all over the place. While they can still be lighthearted and humorous at times, they’re often really messy in various ways. But that doesn’t stop them from being so loving and wonderful at the same time!
TL;DR, Taliesin’s characters are incredible and I’m so grateful that he is willing to play them in such a raw and real way for those of us that aren’t always funny or charming enough about our trauma to make society like us.

This might be an agony aunt question but, my debut was acquired four years ago, and due to delays it still won’t come out for over a year. I’ve sold other books since then, but none are out yet. I’m trying to keep writing new stuff, but lately it’s felt like a lot of work with nothing to show for it (yet), and it’s hard to keep my spirits up. It started getting really hard lately when I realized that a beloved MS would likely die on sub.
I guess I’m asking if you have any words of encouragement, based on seeing your clients go through delays and wondering if it’s all worth it. I know this is how publishing goes and I know I can take a break whenever I want, etc etc. But knowing is different from FEELING, you know?
Ugh, that's a long time to wait, I'm sorry that's happening! But also -- it sounds like you have multiple books forthcoming. That's really exciting!
I totally understand feeling "doldrums-ish" at this point. For nearly every published author, I think there's some of this -- you have worked so hard and spent so much time just getting an agent (celebration!) -- but then you realize, oh shit, that SEEMED like the destination, but actually, that's literally just the first step on the journey. OK, daunting, but you've come this far -- and then there's some excitement, going on submission, SELLING A BOOK! WOOHOO!!!! (celebration!) -- and then there are some milestones, like getting the contract, doing edits, etc, all exciting in their ways...
... and then....
... there's nothing ...
... for what feels like (and in many cases actually is) A REALLY LONG TIME.
It's hard to keep up the excitement/enthusiasm when there's nothing to feed it, right? It starts to feel kind of endless and depressing.
The good news is, there's an end to that! Soon your excitement will ramp up again when RELEASE DAY comes near!!!!!
But, and I hate to be the one to tell ya, then there is often kind of a let-down "after Christmas" feeling when the world keeps turning, and nothing has particularly changed, and you don't get magic powers or anything. :-/
I tell you all this not to be Lady Downerton, but rather just to say, hey, this is a normal kind of feeling, and it's OK to feel it. Writing books for publication is a job -- and sometimes it can be a GREAT job full of perks and fun and thrills -- and sometimes it can be a thankless or dispiriting or lousy one, frankly, just like most jobs out there!
I think the key is that you realize you are more than your job. Should you do great work and find the joy in it and all that good stuff? Yeah, absolutely! Relish the wins, bask in the satisfying parts, celebrate your achievements. But realize that sometimes it's just gonna be a slog or there will be disappointing or maddening or boring parts, and that's just part of it.
The other thing is: it's happening to everyone, even if you can't see it. It's easy to think that OTHER authors are only having win after win, because people aren't exactly posting about the boring or annoying or upsetting things on social media, yanno? EVERYONE who has successes also has failures, everyone who gets opportunities also loses some, everyone who seems to be on living on Good Ship Lollipop has also spent time on Lousy Raft Marzipan.
The GOOD news is, you can clock out any time you want and go enjoy something else in your life for a while. I promise, nothing terribly important will happen in the publishing world if you step away from your computer and go on a vacation or take a hike or find a passion for pottery-throwing. The stories (and the fun parts, and the annoying parts!) will all be there when you get back!

re: cloud atlas, surely yellowface is bad no matter what
Well, generally speaking, yes, of course, but I don't think this is exactly that. I sincerely apologize to anyone on this blog who I offended with my post about "Cloud Atlas;" please let me explain if you're unfamiliar.
If it makes you feel any better, here are pictures from the same movie of Halle Berry (a black actress) and Xun Zhou (a Chinese actress) portraying blonde white women.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's also another instance of an Asian actor playing a white character that I very much don't want to spoil for those who haven't seen it.
The central storytelling concept behind "Cloud Atlas" is reincarnation. Each actor plays a singular soul, essentially one character, that is reborn in different eras, places, cultures, and bodies across six smaller interlocking stories. And we, the audience, see how they evolve, and how their choices and their stories echo throughout the centuries in ways big and small. To quote the movie itself:
"Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others...past, and present. And by each crime, and every kindness, we birth our future."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Doona Bae (a Korean actress, one of the film's six lead roles) alongside Halle Berry (a black actress playing an old Korean man). No really, that's her. The makeup is fucking incredible, if you haven't noticed.
The idea of actors playing multiple ethnicities is central to movie's thesis. It's not just white people; "Cloud Atlas" has a very diverse cast and all of them share in this process. Men play women, women play men, Asians play Mexicans, black actors play Indians, white people play Koreans and vice versa, and Hugh Grant plays a cannibal. Essentially, everyone plays everyone. And if we aren't able to recognize these actors in those roles, the impact of the story is completely lost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think this is like John Wayne putting on awful slanted-eye makeup to play Genghis Khan; there's a specific purpose here that only works with an ambitious narrative of this size and scope. It's about connections that shatter the boundaries of time and space, beyond borders of race and sex. It's easy to dismiss that as drug-induced New-Agey hokum (I certainly don't believe in reincarnation IRL), but to be offended by the prosthetics, in my opinion, is to miss the point entirely. And incidentally, the only people that I've ever seen upset by this movie (so far) have all been white.
"Cloud Atlas" is an achingly beautiful and poignant film of endless imagination that doesn't deserve to be forgotten alongside the dreary garbage heap of Oscar-bait, and I'd encourage everyone to watch before judging too harshly.
Tumblr media
Sorry for going off on a tangent to extol this movie's virtues! XD But this is something that's very important to me, and I really don't want anyone to believe that I'm the type of person who finds yellowface or minstrel shows funny. Jimmy Kimmel can get fucked.

The other pair of Endless who are set up as direct foils are Destiny and Delirium:
Consider that Destiny and Delirium are both seers, with Delirium bluntly not only noting that there is more to the world than Destiny knows (including how she became Delirium which I have two particular types of answers as to why, one more dramatic and one more mundane). Delirium can see more than her brother can and what it is that she sees is also correct, if stated in an odd fashion by the odd one out in her family and as such seldom listened to in the way it needs to be as foresight, not hindsight.
There is also an eye motif, Destiny is blind, Delirium's eyes are mostly heterochromic except in the one occasion she pulls herself together. Blindness and heterochromia aren't the same thing, in multiple facets, but each speaks to the reality of the duality of the Endless. Destiny's blindness is a means of granting free will, Delirium's dual-sight reflects that Delight and Delirium co-exist and that Delight did not simply wither away because she grew up into Delirium.
There is the reality, too, that Destiny is the Endless the most resilient to true chance, as he is shown in the distant future merely grateful to finally put his book down and having shown no visible change at all. Delirium, on the other hand, like Death shows that the Endless can change without dying and can even grow up both mentally (as Death does, at least within limits) and physically (comparing the glimpse of Delight in Endless Nights to Delirium shows that Delight was a child who grew into an edgy, moody teenager cosmic entity with a teenager's sadistic streak amplified by phenomenal cosmic power).
Both Delirium's realm, Madness, and the Garden of the Forking Ways have their puzzle-like aspects, Destiny's hedgerow maze and Delirium's multi-media labyrinth with Del in the center of her own realm like the Minotaur waiting and biding her time to be found. Both are also constantly marked in light, in contrast to the multi-toned aspect of the Dreaming, Desire's singular oversized apartment building with a single home built in their image, and the shadowy fog and mirror-bound aspect of Despair's realm.
And of course Destiny is first of the Endless and always the eldest as Delirium is last and always the youngest, with Destiny seldom leaving his realm and Delirium tending to both be in her realm and to walk the worlds as much and as little as she sees fit.
Dream is both protagonist and main character but his siblings are very deliberately set up in different ways as mirrors, much as the so obvious even people who failed English class can see it similarities between Dream of the Endless and Desire of the Endless, down to the distinct eye colors, the similarity between a Dream and a Desire, and that the very similarities at least in part are the cause of the feud in the most cosmic narcissism of the small difference ever done in comics.

Good morning Alice!! This might sound a bit of a ramble and long-winded, so I apologize. It's mostly that I wanted to express to some of the anons on here who asked questions how important it is as non Jewish friends we stand in front of the Jewish people to fight this antisemitism. I don't in any way mean that as condescending, but just truthfully. I also can only express my POV as an American non Jew.
But maybe I'm shaped because my ex mentor, now boss but dearest of friends, starts our morning call every day crying. She used to be able to go to Israel for her family multiple times a year. Her father passed away last year, her mother is ill, and her brothers are all there. She can't get in any more. More than that, her children are here facing a different kind of threat on college campuses. It's a nightmare. I don't speak to anyone who hasn't been directly affected or doesn't feel under threat every day. And that honestly should show you how small the Jewish population really is. That's why it's important to be loud about your support to take the burden away.
Honestly, be prepared to lose some people or say unpopular truths. If you have SM, you have to share the stories because people in the media aren't covering shit. I was blasting the story about Paul hours after it happened, and I still only see milk toast headlines from outlets that will mention it.
Also, you're probably going to be called heinous names. Trust me, you just learn to roll your eyes being called a Nazi because you criticize the squad who actually calls for the genocide of the Jewish people. The upside down world is real these days!!!
Also, there really is an answer for every argument the pro Hamas side has. If you feel like you want to be prepared, just ask Alice!! But trust me, there is always an answer!!
Just remember, we actually know what happens to the Jewish people when we don't stand for them. And the lesson wasn't that long ago. Don't let weaponization of words like racist, collective punishment, moral equivalency intimate you.
The truth is all this could end tomorrow if Hamas let the hostages go and surrendered. But they hide under children as human shields, pull out the video of the leaders saying this if someone doesn't believe you. They steal the humanitarian aid. Their leaders don't even live there. They live like literal Kings in another country.
As always, stay safe, Alice!! Have you been able to get your treatments? Have you been able to go back to the museum at all? From my understanding, almost everything is shut down because all the reservists are getting called? I hope one day we can go back to "normal" but I fear there will only be a new normal now. ❤️♥️❤️♥️❤️
My love! *hugs* You're brilliant, you know that?
I'm just gonna leave your ask up here as is, because I have nothing to add to it. <333
As for the personal stuff, thank you for asking! I am getting my treatments, I'm going to the hospital on Sunday. I'm currently suffering from a bad reaction, and I hope they have something that can be done about it. As for the museum, we do have a lot of workers who have been called in! There are basically no groups to guide, but there's still a lot of work to be done (research, for example), so a lot of people who normally guide tours are helping with some of the other stuff. Yeah, for now, it's def a weird "new normal" of trying to function with a missing limb and phantom pains...
Thank you so much for your words! I'm sending you endless love and hugs, as well as to your ex mentor and dear friend! May we all know better days soon. xoxoxox

Finally....
Sorry it's taken me until now, various and sundry tasks have had me running all about....
Tumblr media
Well, first off, Silly/janASS pretending to be an anon.....Cole fans and SH shippers are two verrryyyyyy different things....and those of us who ARE Cole fans? Not only recognize Cari is a thing, but we LOVE it....in fact, aren't YOU GUYS the ones always insisting IT'S "an illusion"/pee arr/Ari's a prostitute, moar often than not "not even permitted in LA by Cole"/grifter blackmailing Cole into submission???
Speaking of "an illusion"---while, yes, I will grant you SH was most assuredly NOT the enchanted delight it might've seemed at the time....that's something we're also all FULLY aware of....and, again, while yes, they apparently broke up a LOT...they were a real couple, on and off for nearly 4 years and, now confirmed, contrary to your endless insistence, PP was the cheater and Cole dumped her ass.
I think you can also freely admit, had they not been on the same TeeVee show, they never would've reconciled multiple times....and it probably would've played out over the course of a year or even less.
I agree it was "toxic", but that was because of PP, not Cole....see above.
As for "content", yeah, we actually got a considerable amount....moar than Cabana Pee....and then it was farrrrr less staged/pee arr-y, as well (lots of it was actually accidental, candid spottings of them together....versus pap walks and plus ones at pee arr events).
I'd say you have the next fully backwards.....PP is the one dating a Walmart Cole, having gotten with said Walmart Cole entirely because A) cheap Cole imitation B) literally imitated Cole, because BOTH of them are desperate for Cole's attention. She's also the one who stalked/cosplayed Ari and now looks to recreate key moments WITH Cole, but inserting Cabana Boi. She also endlessly sexually harassed Cole, years after he dumped her, on set....
And that all, in and of itself, makes HER a "vile human being", not Cole....who, once again, has done nothing wrong.
The entire "can't be in the same room" is because of her antics....
As noted above, I fully respect Cari as a couple and am very, very happy for them both. They're adorable. Again, the ones who can't/don't? Are yourselves....because, LBR, what you're mad at Cole about is that he dumped your kween.
Chase/Madelyn/Kelsea----IDGAF and, actually, nobody I'm friends with does, either....they all suck, are icky, etc....
Plus, let's look at who's here, endlessly trying to turn CB into an actual Cole, endlessly shipping HIS tiktoker ass with PP, just as you did previously with GymD, not Ms. G (cuz homophobes) and used to fanfic her with Chris Evans (who was already taken) and John Mayer....as an unpaid prostitute, herself, no less!
And I am responsible for all this? I thought nobody listens to me/GAF what I have to say? Plus if, again, true? Then everybody already thinks Cari are awesome....
Sorry you're this fucking stupid....but true, it isn't "too late to grow up", for yourselves....
Also not sure what I or any of my friends have ever done that's "unacceptable behavior"????
Given when this was sent and agreed on (Sunday), I'm guessing their butthurt was extra intense, compliments of further recognition of the obvious (i.e. Cabana Boi is Shein Cole)......

There are really people that didn't want Eggman to be in Frontiers??? He's been such a vital part of this franchise for sooo many years... he's even more iconic than characters like Amy, Shadow, etc. He's literally the main villain!
Yeah, I've seen a lot of anti Eggman on Twitter for a bunch of silly reasons, to the point he was actually trending multiple times not too long ago because of how many people were bitching about him, it was that bad. And people were happy about how he doesn't seem to be the main villain in Frontiers and some that didn't know he was in it at all were glad but then disappointed when they saw him. And I'm just like haha you're not getting rid of him!
It's often people saying they're sick of him being used as the main villain, even though that's the whole point and has been since the beginning. They don't complain about main villains being used all the time in other series, so why Eggman? My guess is they just look for a reason to hate just because they hate Eggman or aren't interested just because he isn't a generic stereotypical edgy design villain but they can't blame him for lacking good taste :P
And the beauty of Eggman is the endless possibilities for what he's capable of, from creating killer robots to harnessing massive eldritch horrors and tons more. I don't understand how people think he can get boring. You just need to be creative and imaginative like he is to see that he still has tons of unexplored potential and he deserves the spotlight and chance to show it. It's so cool how many things one man can do, it's far from getting old.
The only thing that's been mostly the same in the past few games is how they keep reusing the Nega Wisp Armor sequences for bosses but how is that Eggman's fault? Changing villain won't solve it, they just need to start making his fights different instead of repeating the same thing. It's not his fault the devs have been too lazy to change it up lately lol. And it's not like the eldritch horror bosses have gameplay styles that good either tbh, there's just a huge bias.
It often goes hand in hand but people also think he isn't evil or threatening because he doesn't have a generic edgy design and he's also funny. Even though his characterization is consistent and he hasn't stopped being evil and a serious threat, it's just that the tone has been more lighthearted and doesn't focus on the effects of his evil as much but it doesn't mean it isn't there! I'd like more focus on it but he clearly hasn't stopped doing glorious evil fucked up shit!
People blame general gameplay style and writing on him a lot, they'll usually say one of these if you ask why they don't want him but they look for any reason to hate because they don't like his design and personality, even though they're beautiful things that make him unique. They should give him a chance to prove his brilliance they can't see already by encouraging his full potential to be explored, not asking for the whole character to be thrown out.
But yeah Eggman is a fantastic, well established, multidimensional character that's endlessly entertaining with endless possibilities for gameplay and story, it makes him the PERFECT recurring character and main villain. He's one of the most relevant characters besides Sonic himself as the main villain that's been there since the beginning! There's no reason why they should start to remove him from main canon adventures. I don't get those that demand it and celebrate the idea.
We don't know if he's the main villain in Frontiers and it doesn't look like it with the little we've got so far (though I'd love if he was because I adored the twist in Lost World and you can't make me like any final boss more than Eggman lol) but I'm really happy he's in it and they at least haven't decided to remove him entirely despite the demand because of course they wouldn't. And I really hope he's well written and characterized and even better if he still gets to do cool stuff regardless of role!
The haters aren't ever getting rid of the star of the show! 💜🥚🌟

Here's a rant nobody wanted, but I just rewatched The Addams Family (1991) and I have THOUGHTS about why their family dynamic is so comforting to me and many others.
Firstly, even though Addams blood has deep significance in the film, the expectations that often come with family do not apply. Fester is away for multiple years, he makes the family briefly homeless, he deeply betrays those who trust him, and yet he is welcomed back into the family again and again. Also, not only blood relatives are welcomed in; it's clear that even others are welcomed with open arms as long as they do not judge any member of the family. For example, this is seen with Margaret, ex-wife of the Addams lawyer turned Cousin It's partner, being treated the same as any other family member at the end of the film. In the end, what makes the family is not blood, or amassed riches, or a feeling of loyalty; it is the deep care the characters feel for each other. When the family loses their house, it's not concern for money that makes them miserable (derogatory), but for Gomez a hurt over losing his brother once again and for Morticia a concern for her depressed husband. Obviously there's an element of privilege here as well in that they have never needed to care about money, but it's also such a strength that it's no surprise that most other relationships end up orbiting that dynamic as foils or being sucked in, the characters becoming Addamses themselves.
Secondly, I really love the way the film portrays the characters' various oddities. Sure, the movie is overwhelmingly white and there are some stereotypes that aren't great. But just focusing on the endless quotable one-liners they roll out, a very specific approach shines through. Commonly "bad" descriptions such as "slob" or "evil" or "maniac" are embraced as part of the characters' identities, inseparable from them as people if one should even want to attempt it. It's not hidden, or explained away, it's just there along with everything else. When the family lose their home, the office worker asks Morticia if her husband is a loafer, a hopeless layabout, a shiftless dreamer? With a sad look she responds, "Not anymore." Nurturing each other's interests and personal development is a core value of the family, and she's not worried that he's not providing - she's worried that he's stagnated in a way that makes him suffer (that's her job, after all).
Adding on to that point, even disability is portrayed in a very beautiful way. Cousin It not speaking in a way we understand as watchers is never a gag, and we see him interacting with others and developing a seemingly well-functioning relationship to Margaret (who also, by the way, develops from a stereotypical nagging wife to an Addams). Thing is able to communicate perfectly well with the family through sign language and sheer personality, and the family cherishes him and shows him great respect. He is never tossed around as a gag or ignored because he cannot verbalise. The thought would be outlandish. What I especially love, though, is the way these characters are also treated not only as equals, but as fully fleshed out personalities. The thing is an grinder dad friend who stutters when he's stressed and likes to mess with Fester. Cousin It is a great dancer who comes up with wild ideas and listens to rock. This is not to say that they would not have these traits were it not for the Addamses, but the family makes room for them, sees them and loves the characters for them.
This got so long and there's so much more I could say, but whatever. As a queer, most likely autistic, generally weird person who's fallen off the curve due to mental issues it is just indescribably comforting to have a place to go where I have no doubt I'd be fully accepted, no raised eyebrows or passive aggressive comments to fear. Even if it's fictional, knowing that such characters and such love can exist becomes real in its own way.

The Ultimate Winter Gift: Heated Ski Gloves for Endless Alpine Adventures
Tumblr media
As the chill of winter settles in and snow-capped mountains beckon, it's time to embrace the thrill of the season with open arms. For those who live for the adrenaline rush of skiing down pristine slopes or embarking on snow-laden hikes, there's one gift that's bound to warm both their hands and their hearts: heated ski gloves. These innovative marvels of technology aren't just ordinary winter wear; they're a gateway to extended hours of outdoor enjoyment. So, if you're on the hunt for a truly exceptional gift, look no further than heated ski gloves. Let's dive into why these gloves are the perfect present for the winter adventure enthusiast in your life.
Embrace Winter with Open Hands: The Need for Heated Ski Gloves
As winter aficionados know, cold hands can quickly put a damper on even the most exhilarating outdoor escapades. Whether you're gliding down powdery slopes, building snow forts, or simply enjoying a brisk walk through a winter wonderland, frozen fingers are the last thing you want to contend with. This is where heated ski gloves step in to save the day, offering a solution that blends comfort, functionality, and technology seamlessly.
1. Harnessing Innovative Technology for Unmatched Warmth
Heated ski gloves are more than just regular gloves with a heating element. They're a marvel of modern technology, designed to keep hands comfortably warm even in the harshest cold. These gloves are equipped with advanced heating elements that can be adjusted to different levels of warmth, ensuring that your hands stay cozy without becoming overheated. With rechargeable batteries that can last for hours, you can enjoy extended outdoor activities without worrying about losing the heat.
2. Customizable Comfort for Every Adventure
One of the most significant advantages of heated ski gloves is their customizable comfort. Most models come with multiple heat settings, allowing users to tailor the warmth to their specific needs. Whether you prefer a mild, constant heat or a more intense burst of warmth, these gloves can be adjusted to match your preference. This adaptability ensures that no matter the weather conditions or activity level, you can enjoy the ideal amount of heat to keep your hands toasty.
3. Durability Meets Performance
Winter adventures can be demanding on gear, especially when it comes to gloves. Heated ski gloves are designed with both durability and performance in mind. They're constructed using high-quality materials that are not only waterproof but also capable of withstanding the wear and tear of outdoor activities. Whether you're gripping ski poles or making snowballs, these gloves will stand the test of time.
4. A Thoughtful Gift that Speaks Volumes
While the practical benefits of heated ski gloves are undeniable, they also make a thoughtful and considerate gift. Giving someone a pair of these gloves shows that you care about their well-being and want them to enjoy winter to the fullest. It's a present that goes beyond material value and embodies the spirit of sharing warmth and happiness during the festive season.
Choosing the Perfect Pair: What to Look For
When selecting the ideal pair of heated ski gloves as a gift, there are a few factors to consider:
Battery Life: Look for gloves with a battery life that aligns with the recipient's outdoor activities. Some gloves offer longer battery life than others, so consider how often the gloves will be used between charges.
Heat Settings: Opt for gloves with multiple heat settings to cater to various preferences and weather conditions.
Comfort and Fit: Make sure to choose the right size for a snug fit that doesn't compromise dexterity.
Waterproofing: Ensure the gloves are waterproof to protect against snow and moisture.
Brand Reputation: Research reputable brands known for their quality and performance in heated outdoor gear.
This winter, give the gift of warmth and comfort that extends far beyond traditional gloves. Bailed Out
Just had a recent argument with a friend who bailed me out in last minute.
There was a guy who was having relationship problems with his girlfriend. He briefly mentioned the issue to me but didn't go into detail. After church, he said he needed to meet up with his friend first, while I had to pick up my sister and her baby according to their eating schedule.
In the end, he didn't update me and left me hanging, choosing to enjoy the company of his friends (more than one person, which I didn't expect). He mentioned that he rarely gets to see them every 3-4 months and they were also dealing with similar relationship issues, so they wanted to share and learn from each other.
He assumed that I wanted to spend more time with my sister than with him, but he knew about our plans beforehand and didn't object to them. So I thought it was okay with him.
Furthermore, he came up with another excuse, thinking that I wasn't interested in hanging out with his friend or going to the mall. He believed that I wouldn't want to listen to his problems and would only talk about my own issues, leaving him as the listener. He needed someone to listen to him and offer advice, but he never brought up this concern with me.
He refused to admit that he was wrong and instead said I wasn't flexible enough when he changed his plans. He also suggested that because I am single and older, I might not be the best person to discuss these issues with.
Our conversation became heated because both of us were focused on defending our own ideas of right and wrong, proper etiquette, and such. Despite considering me his best friend for the past three years, we've had many arguments along the way due to our differences.
From my perspective, based on the apology language test by Dr. Gary Chapman, author of "The 5 Love Languages," my way of apologizing is to genuinely admit my wrongdoing and show repentance. I cannot accept lies.
I told him that I can be flexible in urgent matters, life or death situations, but otherwise, it's not nice to bail on plans. There shouldn't be discrimination when it comes to meeting people because if you prioritize meeting someone, it means you should be available at that time. Otherwise, chaos would ensue if people started discriminating against each other.
I felt unimportant and realized I might be wrong in this argument. He, on the other hand, felt entitled to treat me that way because of his feelings at the time. I told him that if I were the president, he wouldn't bail on me regardless of his feelings. He argued that friendship and government are different. I find this reasoning to be nonsense because if he can treat me this way, he could treat others the same. Being selective about who you prioritize is not cool.
That's what I disliked about his excuse, and I was the one who had to approach him multiple times until he finally explained his reasons. It's just an example of how most people are selfish and tend to hide or disappear when they are at fault. Not many people can admit their wrongdoings and instead look for excuses to gain empathy or avoid responsibility.
I would have been more understanding if he had told me about the situation beforehand, not after it had already happened. Yet, when I confronted him, he kept giving me endless excuses, making me feel like the bad guy. I don't think a gentleman should act this way, especially when he always preaches about his discipline and such.
Although some arguments aren't about winning or losing, making an effort to admit your mistakes is important if you truly care about the person. I know it's difficult to ask for forgiveness, especially from those who matter most in your life, like your family or life partner. However, we must understand that forgiveness is necessary if we want to move forward. We must also forgive those who wrong us because they might not fully grasp the impact of their actions. If we're wise and mature, we should accept the situation for now and take action if we can, but if we can't, let's leave it to God.
I hope we can become better communicators, be more forgiving, and have patience when dealing with life and the complexities of relationships. It's inevitable that life has its ups and downs.
Happy Monday, everyone! May the rest of your day be wonderful.

Grow Your Following on Tiktok and Earn Money at the Same Time With Kolify
Tumblr media
Introduction
Have you ever thought about opening your own online store? It's a great way to earn money, and the Kolify platform makes it easy to get started. You can earn money on TikTok by posting videos and creating products that people want. This article will show you how you can use Kolify to get started with an online store of your own so that you can start earning money with TikTok!
Deciding to Open Your Own Online Store
You may be wondering how to get your product in front of millions of people. The answer is simple: have an online store.
Your own online store can be a great way to make extra money and grow your following on TikTok at the same time. The benefits are endless, but here are some of the main things you’ll gain by opening an online store:
A dedicated space where people can find all your products in one place
A new way to connect with customers who love what you do
More opportunities for sales and commissions
How To Choose the Right Products
First and foremost, it's important to know your audience. Are you selling to teens? Do you have more experience marketing to adults? What are their common interests and hobbies? Once you've identified this target market, it's time to figure out what types of products they want—and more importantly, which products will make them happy.
Once again, let me say that selling on TikTok doesn't have to be all work and no play! You can enjoy your favorite activities while also earning money by sharing them with others through our platform. So if you're a huge fan of baking cupcakes or making slime (and who isn't?), don't feel like those pastimes aren't practical for making cash flow in your life—they can be! Just think about how many followers would love seeing a video of your latest creation from start-to-finish. Or maybe there's a craft project that requires multiple steps; if so, follow along with each step as if they were watching TV together in real-time (halfway through might not always work here).
When looking at different options for selling products on TikTok, keep two things in mind: firstly, popularity matters! Products that are already popular likely won't just disappear overnight; after all - people need their daily dose of cat videos every now and then."
Kolify is a SAAS platform like Shopify but it already includes products that you can choose from.

What is Kolify and how does it work
Kolify is a SAAS platform like Shopify but it already includes products you can choose from. There are over 10,000 items available for you to customize and sell on the platform.
The main difference between Shopify and Kolify is that with Shopify, you have to buy an app or theme in order to add products; however with Kolify, there's no need for any coding knowledge because all of the templates are already built-in! You simply pick a product from the catalog and customize it using the built-in editor (or even better use HTML/CSS if you know how).
Kolify also lets anyone create their own store without hosting fees or monthly charges - only payment processing fees apply.
Set up your online store
Kolify is a SAAS platform like Shopify, but it already includes products that you can choose from. It's an easy to use platform that helps you set up your own online store. You don't need any coding knowledge or programming skills as Kolify has done all the hard work for you.
The best thing about this service is that it allows people to make money while they're posting videos on TikTok and other social media platforms. So if you want to make more money when using TikTok then this service will be very beneficial for you!
Choose Products
When choosing products to sell on Tiktok, it's important to pick items that are in demand and have a high profit margin. You can also look for products that you can get the best deals on. Here are some tips for finding these types of items:
Check other websites for product ideas. If you're just starting out with your online store, there may be some easier ways to find good deals than scouring through Amazon reviews yourself. Try searching for keywords related to what you're selling, such as "smartphone cases" or "dog toys." If an item shows up multiple times, it's likely popular enough that people will buy it without much thought!
Look at sales pages from other sellers who sell similar products. If someone else has already found success selling an item like yours (and they've marketed their page well), then it might mean there's more demand than usual right now—so give them a try!
Promote Products and Earn
Promote your products on social media
Share your products with friends and family
Email your friends and family about your products
Make a video about your product
Create a blog post about your product.
Kolify helps you to make money and social media.

I feel like I complain about mobile games a lot but I never show the kinds of games I'm looking for.
Orna! An 8bit styled rpg where the monsters are around your neighborhood! (Don't worry, they respawn after you kill them, so you don't actually have to leave the couch). One of the best games that I've been playing for years. There are paid features, but only cosmetics. It's been run by like one dude for forever. It is a grind, I won't lie. But it's fun and a million different things to do, pvp, town building, you can claim territory, area bosses.
This is an mmorpg, and while you can pay for some stuff, you can't get around putting the work in! Everything has to be leveled, fishing, weapon proficiency, mining, a bunch of stuff. Most of the fun I've had with it is seeing how far into the smithing I can get before I have to move up to the harder areas. This game is always swarming with players, so the town areas can be a little hectic.
This one's a little interesting. It's a stickman mmorpg. You can pay for stuff, but its not ptw, it's pt expand your inventory, that kind of thing. You create multiple characters, with three starting classes that can evolve to multiple subclasses. Each class is better at a certain activity, mining, fishing, bug collecting. That's mainly what this game is, collecting materials to level up your gear for the next area. There are quite a few special skills for each class, and a lot of different builds. Dungeons, guilds, daily quests, it's all there.
Probably noticing a theme by now. I like rpgs ok? Elona is a team building and gearing focused rpg. You hire or recruit people and then gear them up, and they tag along with you into dungeons or storms or whatever. This one is quest heavy, and you will spend a lot of time collecting items for the smithing (but its worth it!). The skill leveling system is very flexible and you can level thru use, spell books, there is even a catch up feature where you can use skill points. Lot of status effects and such to keep track of (one of the few games I've played where eating is both a necessary game mechanic and a Stat boost system). I circle back to this one a lit because it's also cute? Something about it is just so cute to me.
So these are some of my favorite games on mobile that aren't just shameless copies or cash grabs. Lemme know if you have any more!

Assorted asks, a lotta them
I was busy being quarantined with an extrovert. Contents: ender dragon stuff, villagers in superflat worlds and bad situations, resource packs and shaders, an oak garden, zombie villagers
Tumblr media
@gardenergulfie asked: Do you have any headcanons for the Ender Dragon in your universe?
(this was the one ask that prompted the ender stuff lore I posted) here's a few, actual level of canon in the btbverse varies:
- Does not require sustenance or having Regular Reptile Behaviors. Or innards. She does burst into light and experience orbs after all. Very much an unfinished creature.
- The present of you in the End made her and the rest of the center End island spawn, they aren't always there. If you just don't go to the end then there's no ender dragon
- Response to being called Jane, usually in the form of charging you
- Widely regarded as a milf in some circles
@baltoslav asked: the thing about endermen ending thw world. that happens to the other dimensions also i suppose, yeah-? Then the ender dragon, who doesnt die in the void, if she's not killed, does she just fly around the endless void until a new island for her is formed or does she get exhausted at a point and die too?
Yea the nether gets enderman'd too.
She only spawns in the moment you enter the End the first time (not that anyone knows that), but if you fsr loads the End, then leave it like that until that dimension falls apart completely, then she'll just die with it, like a supernova. The last light in an empty world
@nitropixelz asked: Also, how would the pre inf-dev(Old worlds on bedrock edition)/Superflat/Amplified worlds work? I assume amplified would work as normal (ish), and superflats might not be popular to the villiagers, but whats your take on these things
Not a lotta takes but villagers on superflat worlds are often slime mimics (I'm treating this as villagers move in from other worlds. It's fucked up that you can just doom a people by spawning them into a world of nothing when this isn't a game) and they collect experience orbs to make into things, so their life is less harsh than players. If you're nice or can afford it they'll give you obsidian and a flint and steel - it's much easier to survive Minecraft Hell than their overworld tbh.
wait, what does that make the nether?
The Nether as a dimension is just there and doesn't have Extra Lore like the End. For now (0u0)
are texture packs, like, perception filters? that alter how you see things? like goggles or a patch you put on your body or smth
They're used like lenses and you get them as a flexible, slightly sticky sheet like cellophane, which you have to trace and cut to size yourself and fit into your eyewear of choice (this is so stacking multiple resourcepacks doesn't look ridiculous when I draw it)
@thecartonizer asked: how do villagers deal with the more unsavoury types of players in minecraft worlds both singleplayer and multiplayer?
Sic their golems on you and blacklist you across the entire villager network. The first thing to do when you want to get away with oppressing some villagers is to move your operation out into Free Space, world folders are really sparse out there it takes forever for news to spread.
If it's the player-on-player kind of unsavory they don't give a fuck lmao. Excluding personal relationships, of course.
We know that maturation makes a world look more like ours, more natural and less blocky. Does this effect transfer to newly placed blocks in a matured world? Or do they stick out like a sore thumb
They stick out. They're uncommon, but labs that collect and develop samples from worlds exist, and the "core world" where they keep these samples look like botanical gardens crossed with animal shows crossed with museums. I'm talking like 50 oak trees in a grid carefully labelled and while most of them look like Regular Minecraft Oak you'll find one that has neon green leaves. Or funny apples. Or trees so new you can still see the 16 pixels of color across one side of their trunks.
Can canonization ever effect villagers? Cause I remembered the doctor from the diamond minecart's videos and how he actually was an important character. Is there any kind of overlap or no?
Related anon ask: What does Dr. Trayorus look like?
Canon don't effect them in the sense that they don't change for your story, but they'll acknowledge it as true if it is canon. They're pretty used to random info turning into facts, what's with the universe and its updates. In the case of that specific villager he won't get any of the special power, but he'll get the false memory and retroactive history, if he wants to. It's like roleplaying to him, essentially.
I had to look this up: Dr Trayaurus was a recurring character in DanTDM’s videos, and as I haven’t seen him I don’t know.
How do zombified villagers feel when they get cured, and what’s the entire process like for them?
I think the zombie part is completely lost to them and getting splashed with a weakness potion is like waking up after a physically taxing day and all your limbs are sore, followed by several hot flashes as the golden apple works the necrosis out of your system. A garbage of a time for everyone involved
Is there a difference between Bedrock (Pocket Edition) or Java edition minecraft in your worldbuilding?
Nah that’s a wasp nest I don’t want to hit also I have zero experience with Bedrock so I don’t think I can write that

Deconstructing baseless Harry Potter arguments #1: Harmony Edition
There’s a very helpful account on instagram (this instagram page merely gathers toxic harmony shippers, they don’t ship Harmione or hate all Harmione shippers, please don’t send them hate, show them love and support) where you can essentially find stupid fucking bashers who make baseless arguments. I’m all for Harmione shippers, as long as they don’t denounce Romione, bash Ron and just peacefully co-exist. To my pleasure, such people are out there: they just dont seem to be seen as often as the ones that are not nice. Maybe all I see is the mean people and the majority is nice, but in this post, I am attacking those who make baseless claims and bash Ron/Romione/Hinny/Ginny. I don’t myself hate all Harmione shippers. On top of that, as a Romione/Ron fan, i do acknowledge Ron’s character flaws along with Hermione’s and I hold them on the same pedestal.
This is copied directly from my own instagram page, granger.weasley_ on ig.
Anyways let's get deconstructing
1)
Tumblr media
rebuttal:
Yeah okay mf; maybe don’t compare real-life relationships with fucking fictional ones. Your relationship going wrong has nothing to do with Ron/Hermione. It has everything to do with you and your ex: the *real life* people involved in it.
2)
Tumblr media
rebuttal:
The weird subreddits and discord servers also seem to have a lot of die-hard Harmione “non-canon” shippers. They bash Ron and Romione (along with Ginny and Hinny) with a burning passion without any objective sense of remorse. They ignore all the merits of Ron’s character and bash him to push their agenda. They can’t even do so much as fucking acknowledge any of Hermione’s character flaws but still somehow manage to fixate on that one time when 11 year old Ron just shit-talked one line while Hermione had just publicly humiliated him in front of the Charms class and practically shouted at him for doing the spell wrong just before. I personally don’t because Hermione was 11 too and wasn’t that good at social cues that early on, which is more than okay. Neither am I.
Only a few people in the Romione fandom bash Hermione. And it’s not like Harmione shippers (most, not all!) don’t bash Ron and Ginny remorselessly, right? The fucking hypocrisy.
If someone considers Ron as the best member of the trio, it is their own opinion and not a fact. I do that. If you consider Harry and Hermione as the best member of the trio or in the whole wizarding world, most people don’t give a flying fuck and probably won’t argue with you because it is simply an opinion. That will only happen when you pass that off as a fact.
Statistically speaking, most (not FUCKING all) Harmione moments are in the movies. The weird dance scene especially. The passionate kiss that happens in Ron’s vision, shit like that. Ron is pushed to the sidelines in the last set of movies while Harry and Hermione show each other endless love and support. “I’ll go with you”. The books on the other hand, describe Harry and Hermione as siblings multiple times, with very little Harmione references.
3)
Tumblr media
rebuttal:
So you don't want us to fixate on the large majority of Harmione shippers who do the exact same thing, just kissing Hermione's and Harry's ass and hating on Ron. However you will fixate on people who are most likely not EVEN bashing or hating but pointing out a few character flaws in Hermione in a fair and unbiased way. I would know, I'm a huge fan of Hermione as an individual character (in the books). The only criticism I've seen of Hermione to this day has not been bashing. In the comment section of my own fics (shameless plug) I've seen some Hermione bashing. On an ao3 comment section. And I've seen so damn fucking many people bashing Ron, Ginny, the Weasleys etc. and garner tens and thousands of upvotes on quora.
What does Ron even need excusing for? The running away incident and Krum. What does Hermione need excusing for? Canaries, contributing to Ron's insecurities by making him jealous through Cormac and Krum even though she didn't even like them (especially not Cormac, she fucking hated him). Ron wore a locket that literally highlighted his fatal flaw (insecurity) in an echo chamber. Harry kept getting annoyed when Ron wanted to check in on his family. Harry asked Ron to leave; Ron didn't say that shit in the books about Harry's parents being dead: that was plain shock value.
And sorry for repeating myself but I have seen quite a few Harmione shippers bash Ron and Ginny and excuse every single thing Harry and Hermione have done.
4)
Tumblr media
37 upvotes on this weird comment that makes no sense? Echo chamber alert! You know what us Romione/Ron fans all have in common? We have never experienced such an echo chamber. I made a pro Ron/Romione post on reddit and got a considerable amount of people who bashed Ron and Romione in the comments.
The amount of Hermione haters is very few compared to Ron bashers. Nobody hates Hermione for being independent, determined, etc. We dislike perfect movie Hermione who’s an unrealistic image of females and seems like some sort of agenda than a real woman. Most Romione shippers/Ron fans and book fans in general (except for you apparently) dislike movie Hermione and still are fans of realistic book Hermione. Most, not all. In general, we do not claim anyone who does the exact same thing to Harry and Hermione that these sorts of Harmione shippers do to Ron, Romione, Hinny and Ginny. I say this on the behalf of all Romione shippers and Ron fans.
Ron's not a bitchy lay-about drama causing loser. That's Steve Kloves's movie Ron. In the books Ron is realistic and simplistic and apologizes whenever he causes problems. He acts up substantially twice in a span of 7 years where he is also a hormone-fuelled teenager.
This is so contradictory and juxtaposed to the point of near delusion. First you talk about how Romione shippers bash Hermione and then you bash Ron as a Harmione shipper. Mate, fighting fire with fire will get you called a hypocrite. Fix yourself.
5)
Tumblr media
So the movies are fine when they work according to your agenda? And yes how dare he add such a (fake) chemistry fuelled moment between Harry and Hermione while defeating the entire purpose and groundwork for Romione, the sadness caused by Ron leaving and so many more things? Those Harmione moments you mention seem friendship -esque more than anything else.
Steve Kloves's moments ruined many things while just paying fan service to the Harmione fans he'd birthed through years in the course of 6 movies where he showed Ron as a, how you so eloquently describe it, lay - about drama causing bitchy loser, Harry as one dimensional and Hermione as a zero - dimensional Mary Sue who might as well be the main titular character. Obviously Harmione fans such as yourself don't see the problem with it as it fits your narrative
6)
Tumblr media
We do care about Harry and Hermione at large. Most Romione shippers rightfully bash Draco, Pansy, etc. not particularly Harry and Hermione, that's quite rare. Harry and Hermione can get along without Ron as friends. Ron and Harry can also get along without. Hermione as friend. So can Hermione and Ron without Harry as friends or more. I don't understand your point and how what you said is any different than Romione or Ronarry’s friendship.
7)
Tumblr media
Constant arguing is not what they do. They bicker, they apologize, and sometimes they just do it for the heck of it. They are argumentative teenager. Opposites attract doesn't work in the sense of fire and ice, it works in the case of Brownie and ice-cream. Ron is passionate, laid back and insecure. Hermione's passionate, a workaholic and not as insecure. Ron can help her get calm and composed and get her to give herself a break. Hermione can motivate Ron and re - enforce his confidence.
It wouldn't be step incest. Harry and Ginny do not regard each other as siblings. They do not look similar whatsoever. And a Harmione shipper also bashes Hinny and Ginny along with Ron and Romione? Checks out
" that fucked up Harmony" hahaha. What?
8)
Tumblr media
Are you literally going to date someone on the basis of what Harry Potter ships they prefer? That is so shallow end depraved. Your Harry Potter ship preferences should not be the groundwork for your dating life. Please understand that. Harry Potter is a fictional world which is not real. Hogwarts doesn't exist. Magic doesn't exist. I sound like a Dursley but that's what it is: a fictional realm with fictional character. I would personally not give a fuck if my best friend or significant other was a Harmione shipper. In the case of them being a Ron basher, I would ignore it as if it was just a minor inconvenience and something we wouldn't be discussing and that's how it should be with you. Fuck BuzzFeed, your opinion on what Harry Potter ship / character is your favorite says squat about your personality and relationship with others in a romantic or platonic context. But who cares? Live your life however you want. I'll be stoic.
9)
Tumblr media
It's not opposites attract rubbish or high school opposites attract. Ron and Hermione aren't polar opposites like I said, they are a bit different but similar too in many ways. They have a lot more in common than Harry and Hermione. Ron and Harry have the most in common. Both Ron and Hermione are passionate, loving, argumentative, caring, etc. Your argument lacks substance. It's biased trash. And what does “obhwf " mean?
---------------------------------
at the end of the day, i’m just an annoyed teenager. I try my best to be open-minded to people but only as long as they are too. I tried to use my brain more than my feelings for this post.
