Watch The Outlaws. For the found family/unlikely friends feels, for the diverse cast, for the trope subversions (rani and ben!!!), for the amazing cast and characters, for the lesbian, for her best lovable straight guy friend, for the thematic opposites who become basically best friends (best frenemies?), for diane falling in love with her ragtag group of misfits whom she thinks are totally under control (spoiler alert: she has no idea), for frank and his family, for the detectives, for the compassion, for the tackling of social issues, for the depth, for the hilarious comedy, for the drama, for the way that even when everything seems bleak those idiots always find a way to come out on top, for the worst lawyering in the uk, for the million different ways stephen merchant found to insult himself, for lady gabby to date claire (my fanship) or really get any girlfriend and a healthy relationship before the show gets cancelled.

Saw all of S2 of The Outlaws which I loved. I think it’s the perfect blend of drama + comedy (kind of reminds me of Brassic in that way) and I love the characterisation. This series saw them turn to drug dealing to try + pay off the money that was stolen in the 1st series. Lady Gabby is still my favourite but I loved the way they developed Rani’s character this series + that ending was just so perfectly bittersweet. I wonder if they will do another series.
