Hey! I'm still here lol for the most part anyway.
So I started reading here in March 2019. I had just finished playing TRR for the first time and needed to get my fix of Liam stories before the second book was waiting to come out. Like most people do, I lurked for a few weeks, reading everyone from @romanticatheart-posts and @annekebbphotography and several others who I haven't seen around since that time. I remember sitting in an Arbys DT when I got a notification that @dcbbw had published a much anticipated chapter from The Commoners Wife, and of course I had to pull into a parking spot and read it before returning home. And then sneaking glances of @ao719s during a staff meeting, hoping Liam would get his kingdom back from Madeleine after he abdicated. I never planned to write and when I finally did, I never had any expectations of being anywhere as great as those I've mentioned; I just wanted to do it for the fun, and that still holds just as true today.
I also never expected to make the friendships Ive made. To me, I value those far more than any reblog, or note, or praise (y'all know I get uncomfortable with those 😆). Within a month of writing my first drabble, I met my best friend --not just my Tumblr one -- but the one who has become my sister, my sidekick, who knows me better than I know myself. @burnsoslow I dont know what I did to deserve you, but I believe in God and feel that he knew the hardest thing I would ever have to go through was just around the corner, and sent you to get me through it. And you did. You've never let me give up on anything, whether its writing or in real life. You're always pushing me higher, further, faster ... because where I see limits in myself, you see possibilities, talents, and gifts.
@dcbbw and @sirbeepsalot Aside from the fact you two were among the first to read and encourage me, (inspire me), our zoom meets last year brought me to life. The shenanigans, the gossip, the papaya, the brainstorming that inspired so many fics. Ive missed you both lately, just wanted you to know how special you are to me.
@txemrn and @charlotteg234 My Armie girls 😍 I love you both so much. Im thinking its time for another movie night real soon.
@ao719 Oh my goodness, where to start with you lol Aside from your talent, you're just a genuinely wonderful and kind person. You've also supported me from the beginning and along the way we've managed to drop some of that introvertedness and talk to one another without our intermediary, Burns 😂 Youve got the most amazing wit and humor of anyone I know, but can flip it like a switch to be encouraging and lift my spirits when I have those doubts about myself.
And to the following, I wish I could speak individually of each of you, but im so tired now (its late) lol but just now how special you are to me and how much I value your friendships and support, so very much:
@kingliam2019 @queenjilian @bebepac @ofpixelsandscribbles @cordoniaqueensworld @amandablink @hopelessromanticmonie @alyssalauren @monsoonblooms12 @mom2000aggie @gkittylove99 @neotericthemis @yourmajesty09 @gabesmommie1130 @kat-tia801 @emkay512 @cordonia-gothqueen @foreverethereal123 @nestledonthaveone @callmeellabella @jessiembruno @forallthatitsworth @sfb123   If I left anyone off, it wasn’t intentional -- except for one person
And yes, I’m going to update Fools Rush In soon, and will be posting Fearless this weekend (probably lol).

(This is inspired by the movie „tres metros sobre el cielo")
*WARNING: mentions of kinks, no smut included tho
*
-it was a pretty normal tuesday for you
-you went to college, spent your afternoon with some friends and then slowly made your way home at around 8:30
-your best friend had promised to take you home after work
-you were about to meet her at your guys' favorite ice cream place
-since it was mid july it was still pretty hot out
-you were wearing a knee long summery dress and some sandals when you walked around the corner in a usually pretty quiet neighborhood in Madrid
-but as you continued walking you saw a huge croud of people, cheering
-and you saw a lot of motorcycles
-it looked like they were about to have an illegal motorcycle race in the middle of the streets
-but you got curious and got a little closer
-once you were able to see the men on their motorcycles closeup you noticed this one guy
-he was wearing a leatherjacket
-had a buzzcut
-and a single silver hoop dangling from his left earlobe
-and his face told you he'd go all in in this race
-he looked furious
-but for some reason you found him attractive
-maybe even more attractive than your own boyfriend?
-shortly after they started the race and some people ran after the motorcycles
-and you were just standing there thinking about this handsome badass
-obviously you knew you'd never see him again so
-and of course you also had a boyfriend so you didn't actually want to see him again
-so you decided to just wait for your best friend to pick you up
-she had planned to pick you up right after you texted hr but she didnt even get your text
-so you just sat down on a bench and called him
-„hey girl! I know i promised id be there at 9 but im still at work, my boss is pretty mad right now because things disappeared and he's blaming everyone."
-you nodded even though she obviously couldnt see that
-„yeah okay, ill ask Julio to pick me up."
-theoretically you couldve taken the bus or the subway but you didnt have any money left because you spent all you had with you for lunch
-you then called your boyfriend of almost 4 months who picked you up immediately
-on the drive to your place you guys talked about your day and your plans for the rest of the week
-„why didnt your wonderful best friend pick you up?" he then asked you
-he emphasized the word „wonderful"
-he hated your best friend
-like really hated her
-he said she was bad for you
-she got mad easily and blamed it all on you
-but she's never actually quit the friendship with you before
-and sometimes she could be really sweet
-„she's working." you replied
-julio nodded and then drove the car into a tunnel
-he knew how you hated tunnels so he put his right hand on your thigh to reassure you
-you smiled at him and then placed a small kiss on his cheek
-„i love you hun." he then said for the first time
-but before you could reply something rammed the car
-you both got scared and he checked the mirrors
-you turned around and saw three guys on motorcycles behind you
-„eh cabrón! We need to talk to you Julio!"
-„do you know these guys??" you asked him full of fear
-„no what are you saying? Of course not." he replied and drove even faster
-„slow down! You're way too fast!" you yelled at him because he was far over the speed limit
-„we need to get rid of them!" he explained and drove about 160 on a street that said limit 100
-„STOP THE CAR!" you screamed at his face
-„yeah listen to your girlfriend Ju." a guy on the motorcycle spoke while driving right next to your window
-you just looked at him for a second and then just closed your eyes
-you were scared of tunnels and of driving too fast
-it was a lot for you
-„STOP THE FUCKING CAR!" you screamed again
-finally julio slowed down and stopped on the side of the road
-furiously you got out of the car to take a deep breath
-„you couldve killed us!" you screamed at your boyfriend
-the guys stopped on the side too and one took off his helmet
-„Julio get outta there puta!" He said rather harshly
-you looked at your boyfriend who was still sitting in the car
-„please do what he says, im scared."
-but before anything happened your boyfriend took off
-he left you in the middle of nowhere with three angry guys on motorcycles that had almost killed you
-you just stared at his car getting more and more distant
-two of the three immediately drove after him
-the third stared directly into your eyes for a little while before then taking off as well
-„you cant just leave me here you fucking dick!" you screamed at him
-you didnt even care who he was but he was the last person there and you were genuinely scared
-you expected him to keep driving
-why would he care
-but he turned around again and stopped his motorcycle in front of you
-„you expect me to be nice to you even though you just called me a fucking dick?"
-his voice was deep
-you lowkey had a thing for deep raspy voices
-you didnt know how to respond
-„alright then have fun finding a way how to get home."
-he started the engine again but you stopped him
-„please take me home. Im sorry."
-you sounded so damn desperate
-and you couldnt believe that your boyfriend had just left you there
-„get on." he demanded
-„but i need a helmet." your sassy soul complained
-„jeez woman."
-he then took off his helmet
-and you saw his face for the first time
-„you." you then said as a first reaction
-the handsome stranger looked at you in confusion
-„me?"
-„you're the guy from the race before. Ive seen you."
-he laughed at you and then asked:"you were at the race? A girl like you?"
-„yeah i was passing by and i saw you."
-he started grinning
-„and let me guess you were staring at my oh so hot face and couldn't resist but remember me cause youve been dreaming about me ever since?"
-his cocky personality turned you on
-you grinned a little
-„right." you grabbed the helmet from his hands and sat down behind him
-„you gotta hold onto me tight princesa."
-the word „princesa" got you a little wet
-you put your hands around his torso
-„you gotta really hold onto me bebe, we dont want you to fall off do we?" he spoke provocative
-„shut up and drive."
-he laughed and then started the engine
-it felt good driving through the night on a motorcycle
-you could feel the hot air hitting your bare thighs
-and you felt his breathing as you were holding onto this guy whose name you didnt even know
-but unfortunately all things have to end some time and he stopped at your house
-„there we are princesa." he spoke
-but you were still in your own state that you didn't really realize
-so your hands were still placed on his muscular chest
-„ey girly, id love to continue this another day but i gotta get home eventually too."
-you then got off the motorcycle, gave him his helmet and just made your way to the front door
-„ey!" he yelled
-„qué?" you asked him
-„come back!" he demanded
-so you walked back to him and just stood there about 2 meters away from him
-„closer bebe."
-you took a step closer to him
-„listen. When i take you home you say thank you alright?"
-you didn't expect him to be so blunt
-you just nodded and said:"thanks."
-he nodded back and then slightly grabbed you by your arm to pull you down to meet him face to face
-„your boyfriend's an asshole for leaving you there. Remember, daddy will always be there for you."
-you just stared at him in confusion
-you didnt even know you had a daddy kink
-but you did know that he turned you on as hell and that your panties were fucking wet by now
-„and i know in fact that we both feel the same here, even though your stubborn little body wont deny it. If you wanna have a good time, meet me friday 8pm at the race track."
-you didnt reply at all
-„goodnight princesa." he grinned and put on his helmet
-„ya." you just spoke and turned around but he pulled you back again
-„es goodnight papi, lo entiendes?"

ETSY STORE  II  FACEBOOK  II  INSTAGRAM  II  ESCARONARTS
SOLD! Meet Denba the mighty armoured steed who is now up for adoption in my etsy store. You can find him HERE! Denba is the strong, the proud, the wild and the free. If you show him respect he will answer you in kind, if you wont.... well, lets just say you will regret it. A lot. Denba is of a special breed of horses, sturdy and very strong with more stamina than any regular horses, living in the lush of the deepest forests, a breed that can not be tamed nor broken or bred in captivity (the mares will not get pregnant). The only way for a human to get close to one of these magnificent beasts is to gain its trust and friendship. Only then may them form a bond and cooperate - a bond that often is life long, well, for the humans at least, because these horses can get several hundreds years old. Riding one of these horses is nothing like how its usually works, you can not stear them with reins or spurrs, can not teach them tricks and manners. They are the ones that teach you to listen and feel, to work as a team in body and soul, to become one. It is a mighty, magical experience like nothing else. And when you finally get it, when you understand, you two will be unstopable togheter. Kings and queens of old often prefered these horses for their loyalty and as they were great for long journeys and even wars at times. And now you may think that I make this up, because youve never seen a horse like this with colors like this, thats pure fantasy you may say. But then I will tell you this, these horses can not be seen by just anyone. For most people they look like regular horses with "normal" coloring until a bond is established. Only a very few people have the sight from the start. This is in fact true for a lot of animals in our world, the humans eyes and perception is very limited and we can not see their true forms. If we really could see, oh what wonders we would experience. But thats something I have to talk about another time.   MADE: Denba is completely handmade, original and ooak (one of a kind). His head is sculpted with lots of care, time and tiny realistic details, then casted for durability and painted with small brushes and lastly sealed. The eyes are glossed to give them a life like look. His body is made of the softest fauxfur that Ive designed the pattern of and trimmed. He is fully posable in legs and neck and the tail can be adjusted. His armour that can be removed and is form fitted for Denba alone is also sculpted in super sculpey and casted in resin, painted metallic and with fabric that Ive painted the design on, tiny crystals and chains added. Making all these armour pieces was no easy feat and the whole thing (saddle ,chestplate and head gear), took over 20 hours to complete. Denba is a truly unique artdoll and I will never make another like him, not the least for the fact that his armour took forever and such a project simply is to tedious for me to try again, haha. I loved making it tho, and am so very pleased with the outcome. Just as I am very pleased with Denba himself. He stand 30cm tall. ©2019 Linda Escaron Lundqvist all rights reserved

Heartworm (Part One)
Guess who got her internet baaccccck! This gal! So @songtoyou sent me this request and I IMMEDIATELY started getting ideas. This could be up to or past 5 parts, I don’t even know! It all depends if you guys like it and want more! This is kind of a soft re-imagining of season 2.
Request:  How about instead of Billy going to his stupid psychiatrists place to seek refuge, he goes to the home of a girl who he was in a serious relationship with. Like, this girl is the only person Billy could ever see himself settling down with. However, once he got money, status, and power from Rawlins he pushed her to the side and eventually dropped her from his life. But once she sees the state Billy is in and how sad, scared and alone he is she wants to help him.
Part One is based on Halsey’s Without Me, particularly these lyrics:
Found you when your heart was broke I filled your cup until it overflowed Took it so far to keep you close (Keep you close) I was afraid to leave you on your own
I said I'd catch you if you fall And if they laugh, then fuck 'em all (All) And then I got you off your knees Put you right back on your feet Just so you can take advantage of me
*gif not mine* (I gotta stop using this gif lol)
Tumblr media
You stood frozen in your living room, eyes glued on the TV. The news was saying that Billy, your Billy, was a murderous traitor and a danger to society. You watched as they showed footage of Billy’s apartment up in flames. They said he bombed it himself after killing a handful of Homeland Security agents, they also said that he hired mercenaries for his Anvil staff. The government seized his assets. He shot Curtis in the shoulder. He knew about Frank’s family. He set them up to be killed. Billy. Your Billy.
Except he wasn’t your Billy anymore; he hadn’t been your Billy for three years. You sat down on the couch, legs numb with shock, as you took in what the newscaster was saying about your ex-boyfriend, the only man you’ve ever loved. They flashed a picture of him on the screen. The caption read: “Armed and Dangerous, Do Not Approach”. The newscaster was saying something about Homeland and Frank going after Billy, but it was all starting to sound like white noise to you. Your mind said to get out of town and run until it was all over, but your heart wanted to reminisce, wanted to remind you why you even cared in the first place.
“…and I’m gonna have a Rolls Royce,” Billy said, one arm behind his head and the other wrapped around your waist, “I’m gonna drive it to meetings, rich assholes love a power play.”
You smiled up at Billy, you loved listening to his grand plans for the future. “Are you gonna be a pocket square kind of rich asshole or a ‘Maureen, hold my calls’ kind of rich asshole?”
“Mm,” Billy pulled you closer to his naked chest, “I’m gonna be a pocket square kind of asshole,” he answered, “that’s the best way to run a business.”
“Of course,” you agreed, snuggling up against him, “you’re gonna be a big shot. And I’m gonna have to make an appointment with Maureen just to see you.”
Billy tsked and put a finger on your chin, lifting your face so you were eye-to-eye. “That ain’t never gonna happen,” his dark eyes bore into yours, “I’ll always have time for you.”
You smiled and pressed your lips against his. You felt Billy’s arms tighten around you, lifting you up until you were laying on top of him. You kissed him again, slowly parting your lips, inviting his tongue into your waiting mouth. His eyes were heavy-lidded with lust when you pulled back. You rubbed your nose against his. “I love you.”
His smile made your chest heave with adoration. “I love you too, Y/N.” He kissed you again. “I promise I’m gonna make you proud one day, baby. I’m gonna get us outta this shit hole and out you somewhere nice, where you belong.”
You shrugged. Money and status meant a lot to Billy, meant success, but you were happy enough where you were. Yeah, your apartment was kind of small, and yeah, the heat stopped working every few months, but you’d lived in worst places. Besides, you had Billy. He made you so unbelievably happy; you could have lived in a cave—as long as Billy was with you, you’d be fine. “You know I’m already proud of you,” you told him, “You’ve accomplished so much already.”
“Mm,” Billy kissed the top of your head, “I can do more.” He kissed your nose. “I’m gonna get this security shit together.” He kissed your right eyelid. “I’m gonna get us a place uptown.” He kissed your left eyelid. “And I’m gonna make it so you don’t ever have to work again.” You sighed as he kissed your cheek next. “I ain’t gonna let anyone look down on us anymore.” He kissed your other cheek. “I’m gonna make you so happy, baby.” You felt yourself melt when he finally kissed you on the lips. “I’m gonna take care of us…
…I’m gonna take care of you.”
You turned the TV off, cradling the remote to your chest. You felt your breath getting shallower and casually recognized your erratic heartbeat. You didn’t know what to do. You believed the news—you weren’t sure about the details, but you knew Billy well enough to know that he would do anything for power. You had seen the change that money bought him firsthand, and you didn’t like it at all. You thought about calling Curtis, but you didn’t want to bother him. He was probably up to his neck in cops and paperwork and…Homeland Security, apparently. You wondered how it came to this. Frank was alive. Billy was a wanted man. Curtis was wounded. And you…were alone.
You spent the night on the couch, too numb and confused to get up. You dreamt of Billy and woke up shivering. You got up and made yourself a cup of coffee. Your phone was on the counter, and you frowned as you picked it up. You had missed calls from your mom, your best friend, your boss, and your sister. You had no desire to speak to any of them. You also had a call and voicemail message from an unknown number. Hitting the speaker button, you played the message.
“You’re gonna hear some things on the news.” Billy. “They’re true. I…I did all those things they say I have. By the time you get this message, I’m either gonna be on the run or dead.” It sounded like he took a breath before continuing. “I wanted to see you before I go, but…that’s not gonna happen. So just… Just know that I…” A sigh. “…I think about you all the time. I’ve made a lot of mistakes, a lot of bad choices, done a lot of shitty things, but… I only regret one thing: letting you go. I wish… I should have fought for you more. I should have…” There was some shuffling, and you thought Billy might have put the phone down for a moment. “Listen, they’re gonna say a lot of things about me, and people are gonna try to tell you that I’m heartless and evil, but I want you to remember…You loved me once. You’re the only one I could ever be honest with, the only person in this world who knows who I am. Just… Remember that. And… I’m sorry, Y/N. Goodbye.”
You stood in your kitchen and listened to Billy’s message for at least another 30 minutes. By the time you went back to the couch and turned the TV on, Billy was pronounced near-death and was being kept under constant surveillance at the hospital. Frank Castle was said to be ‘in the wind’ and Anvil was being torn down and all the profits split up. The news interviewed a medical professional about the chances of Billy making any kind of recovery. They predicted he would be dead in six months.
You turned the TV off and wept.
It had been nearly a year since everything went down with Billy. The coverage for Billy’s case had pretty much stopped after a month, and people were onto the next scandal now. Curtis had stopped by your place and told you that Frank left town. The visit had been brief, but he told you what Billy had done—confirming what you’d heard on the news—and said that his orders had come from someone named Rawlins. Rawlins, you understood, was dead. Curtis had word from Frank to tell you that he had been given a new identity by the government and was going to hit the road for a while. When you asked why he’d want you to know that, Curtis had just said: “you needed to know it was over”. You should have felt anger, or pity or sadness but… you felt nothing. You had been operating on auto-pilot, swimming in a thick fog of numbness, since Billy had been arrested. The last thing you could remember feeling, really feeling, was a deep and intense sorrow when you listened to Billy’s message. He had broken your heart, left you, and then revealed himself to be a monster and you…You were just tired.
“I don’t know what you want me to say Y/N,” Billy’s back was to you. You had barged into his office at Anvil, demanding to see him, but now that you were there… The way he was talking to you was cold and detached. His stance was rigid, his focus was on the recruits below him, not on you. This Billy—CEO Billy—was not what you had signed up for.
“I want you to say you’re sorry,” you said, “I want you to say you care.” Billy didn’t say anything. You clenched your fists. “Look at me, Billy.”
He turned. He was wearing an expensive three-piece suit and his hair was impeccably cut. His eyes, the eyes you loved, the eyes that looked at you with such care and affection, were hollow.
“What happened to you?” You asked, looking him up and down with disgust. “You never come home, you barely spend any time with me—”
“What do you want, Y/N?” He said, irritation clear in his voice. “I’m busy. I’m working. I’m trying to afford the penthouse we live in and the car you drive.”
“I bought my own car,” you reminded him, eyes narrowed as you glared at him, “And I work, too, but I make time for the people I love.”
Billy sighed, rolling his shoulders. “I told you, you don’t have to work.”
You sighed then. He was missing the point. “Billy,” you tried again, “I’m tired of this. I can’t keep being an afterthought for you. I need you.” You tried to look in his eyes, but he avoided your gaze. “I miss you.”
Billy walked over to you and put a hand on your waist. He pulled you towards him and kissed you. “I miss you, too,” his voice was husky as he moved his lips to your neck, “I know I’ve been working a lot lately, but we’re so close…”
You closed your eyes. You wanted to have a conversation, but it was hard to think of words—let alone form any—with his mouth on your skin. “Will you come home tonight?” You asked, breath short and voice heavy with lust.
“Mm hmm,” his hand slid to your ass as he kissed you again, “I’m gonna be all yours tonight.” He licked into your mouth and smiled when you moaned.
You felt his hardness pressing against your front and you deepened the kiss. “I don’t know if I can wait that long,” you whispered.
Billy chuckled and released you from his grip. You glared as you watched him walk over to his desk. He pressed a button on his phone and leaned over to speak. “Hold all my calls,” he ordered, smirking over at you, “I don’t want any calls or interruptions for the next hour.” He walked past you and you heard him lock the door behind you. His eyes were gleaming when he turned back to you and he looked like himself, like your Billy, again. His smile made your heart skip a beat. “Take your clothes off, baby. I want to spend some time with you.”
You sat up with a start. It had been months since you’d last dreamt of Billy. You looked around you and cursed under your breath. You had fallen asleep on the couch. No wonder you were off. You hadn’t been able to have a full night’s rest without sleep aids since…since Billy had left that message on your phone. If you didn’t take a pill before you went to bed, you would dream about Billy. You didn’t want to dream about him, you wanted to ignore the ache in your chest and the emptiness in your life and just… Get over it. Get over him. You felt a headache coming on, so you shuffled to the bathroom for a quick shower before bed.
Your mind kept going back to Billy as you got ready for bed; you remembered the strain in his voice in the message he left you, how he used to laugh when you stuck your cold feet on his back, the way he stared down at you as he shifted inside you, driving you wild. You could see his eyes, dark and expressive and so full of love when he looked at you, every time you closed your eyes. You gave up on sleep and went back to the couch, deciding to just spend the night watching horrible night time TV until you could get Billy out of your head.
You were finally getting into the Real Housewives marathon you had been watching when you heard a knock on your door. You glanced at your phone: it was 11 pm. Who the hell would be at your door at this time? You grabbed your phone in case you needed to call the police and stood on your tip-toes to look into the peephole. Your mouth fell open at the same time your phone hit the floor with a dull thump.
Billy Russo was standing in the hallway of your apartment. And he was covered in blood.
*************************************************************************************
I have the next two parts locked and loaded! Pleaaase comment and let me know if you want the rest. The more feedback I get, the more I update! Thanks for reading, and may Billian be with you.
BTW, I got the title from this “emotion that’s hard to describe word”:  Heartworm: a relationship or friendship that you can’t get out of your head, which you thought had faded long ago but is still somehow alive and unfinished, like an abandoned campsite whose smoldering embers still have the power to start a forest fire.

Battle Scars - Chapter Six
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tony Stark x Reader
Warnings: um...nope
Enjoy!!
***
You pulled your hand from Bruce’s and curled it back into a fist. “I’ve had that scar forever. Don’t even remember how I got it now.”
He arched his brows and gave you a look that said he didn’t believe a word you were saying. “You did not have that scar yesterday. Or even today when you handed Tony his coffee. Don’t bullshit me, Y/N. I’m more observant than most people give me credit for.” He slid off his glasses and tossed them onto a nearby table before crossing his arms over his chest. His gaze never wavered from you as he waited for you to speak.
Finally, you sighed and paced away from him. “I’m not trying to bullshit you, Bruce. I just wasn’t intending on telling anyone. Not for a while, at least.”
“So, you are Tony’s soulmate then?” He dropped his arms and took a step toward you.
Suddenly unable to speak, you nodded.
“Okay. And you’ve known since?”
“After he was missing. He was doing a press conference and I saw him on the television. Our bruises matched.”
He raked a hand through his already messy hair and huffed out a breath. “And you haven’t told him?”
“What do you think, Bruce?”
“All right, all right.” He gestured toward one of the chairs at his small kitchen table. You sat and he took the one across from you. “Are you planning to tell him?”
You debated for a moment whether to even the continue the conversation before deciding it was too much of a relief to have someone to talk to for you to stop now. If things got back to Tony, you’d just have to deal with it then. “That was my intention when I came here. I tried to get through to him by phone and I couldn’t so I just showed up. They assumed I was here for a job interview and here we are.”
“I don’t suppose you mentioned you were his soulmate when you tried to call?” he asked.
“It’s not like anyone would have believed me if I had. Besides, that’s the kind of news you need to deliver yourself don’t you think?” You leaned back in your seat.
He ran his fingers across the surface of the table as he thought. “All of that aside, why haven’t you told him since then? You’ve had time. He’s been looking for you for a long time.”
Hearing that Tony had wanted to find you made your heart a little lighter. It also made you feel a little guilty. “He has a girlfriend, Bruce. I’m not going to be what breaks them up.”
“Who? Pepper?”
You nodded.
He grimaced. “She’s not really his girlfriend.”
You pursed your lips thinking over everything you had seen the last few weeks. “Are they dating?”
He tilted his head from side to side. “Well, I mean, technically—”
You held up a hand to cut him off. “Technically is enough of a relationship for me. I’ll tell him when the time is right. This isn’t it.”
“How do you know that it isn’t? I won’t tell him if you don’t want me to, but you should. And the sooner the better.”
“That’s enough. I’m not going to let him drop his entire life because of me. That’s not fair to him, Bruce.”
“You dropped yours to come here for him. Shouldn’t he get the same choice?”
***
It took a while before you were convinced that Bruce wouldn’t spill your secret. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to tell Tony. You would love nothing more than to be with him but you didn’t want him to pick you just because you were his soulmate. You wanted him to get to know you as a person first and a soulmate second. Things like that took time.
You were still deep in thought when you left Bruce’s room to head back to your floor.
“Everything sorted?”
The unexpected voice startled you and you found yourself staring at Tony with wide eyes. “Huh?” Well, that was eloquent, Y/N.
Tony straightened from where he’d been leaning in the doorway of the lab. You wondered briefly how long he’d been standing there. His gaze darted past you to Bruce’s door before settling back on you. “Did you get Bruce squared away?”
“Yeah,” you answered feeling moderately guilty for misleading him. “It’s all good.”
He stepped forward as his tongue darted out to moisten his lips. “What did he need anyway? You two were in there for a while.”
You lifted one brow. “We got busy talking. You know how it is.”
He hummed in what you assumed was agreement. “Well, I’ll let you get back to it.” With that he turned and went back into the lab.
You stood there for a moment trying to process the strange scene you’d just been part of until your phone rang. “Hello,” you answered without paying attention to who was calling.
“We need to talk,” came Fury’s deep voice and you instantly forgot about anything else. Why was the director of SHIELD calling you?
***
As soon as you were off the phone with the director, you spent the next two hours making calls, placing orders and issuing instructions. Once you were certain everything you needed done would be completed by morning, you called a meeting in the Avengers conference room.
As the team shuffled in, they fell quiet as they found you waiting for them. Tony and Bruce were the last two to file in. Tony scowled as his gaze fell on you. “I thought this was a team meeting. What are you doing here, hot stuff?”
You arched a brow at the nickname. “It is a team meeting, Tony. Fury thought I could handle this one.”
Steve’s brows shot up. “Would you mind repeating that?”
“Just sit down,” you instructed the science bros. “It’s not that kind of meeting.” You passed a thin folder to everyone at the table. “Fury is expanding the team.”
“Sam Wilson, the Maximoff twins, and James Barnes have all been approved on a probationary basis.” From the corner of your eye you saw Steve sit straighter in his chair as a grin curled his lips. “Sam will maintain his own residence. The twins will be on the floor below Nat and Clint and Bucky will be on your floor, Steve.”
Not everyone looked particularly thrilled with the news you were giving them. “The information in the folders includes what they are required to do to maintain their status on the team. Steve, Bucky requires daily therapy for the time being, would you prefer I bring someone in?”
“Yes, please,” he responded with no hesitation.
You shifted your attention to Tony who just frowned at the folder in front of him. “Tony.” You’d said his name softly but it was enough to get his attention. He looked up with wide eyes.
“Yeah?”
“The twins need therapy, too. Three times a week. And then there are the after mission sessions. Should I see about getting one on staff?”
Natasha huffed a laugh. “I’m surprised Fury didn’t offer to move one in.”
You smiled at that. “Oh, he did. I didn’t think any of you would care for a SHIELD shrink when we can hire our own. Then you don’t have to worry about them reporting back to anyone.”
“See. This is why I like her,” Clint piped up. “Always thinking.”
Tony’s lips twitched for a second before he gave in and smiled. “Hire us a shrink, sweetheart.”
***
With Jarvis’ help it didn’t take you long at all to find the perfect candidate and he was quickly hired. Anxious to share the news with Tony you were talking before he could even acknowledge your presence in the lab. You read off the man’s qualifications and talked about his references and then realized Tony wasn’t commenting on anything you said.
You looked up from you tablet to find him smiling as he looked between the device in his hand and you. It was easy to see that you amused him. Your face heated. “Sorry, I ramble when I get excited.”
“I look forward to exploring that trait of yours in more detail later, but why are you so excited about hiring a team therapist? Or should I not ask? Is he handsome? Are you impressed by the size of his PHD?”
You blinked as your brain tried to catch up with your soulmate’s teasing. He was certainly in a flirtatious mood. As you looked him over, you realized that he had stripped down to a white tank. And coming from beneath it was a bright blue glow. “Um, Tony?”
“Yeah, Y/N?”
You gestured vaguely in his direction. “You’re glowing.” You tore your gaze from his chest to meet his eyes.
His brow furrowed and he glanced down. “I’m surprised you haven’t noticed before. It keeps me alive. Keeps shrapnel from going into my heart.”
That made your chest hurt. What if he wasn’t a genius? Would he already be dead? You sat your tablet down on the table and stepped around until you stood next to Tony, his eyes following you. “Can I see?”
He tilted his head and studied you for a long moment and you wondered what he was thinking. Finally, he emptied his hands and turned on his stool so he was facing you. In one swift movement, he took his tank off and tossed it on the table beside him. “Look all you want, sweetheart.”
You closed the small distance remaining between the two of you, your eyes glued to the device in his chest. No wonder your scar had never faded. This thing had to be inserted inside of him. It was a permanent wound. You reached your hand out to touch it before you caught yourself. “Sorry,” you said, snatching your fingers back just before you actually made contact.
Tony’s warm hand wrapped around yours and he tugged you closer. Your heart raced and you sucked in a deep breath as he laid your hand against his chest. He kept his over the top of it. “It’s called an arc reactor,” he explained. “It not only keeps me breathing, it powers the suit.”
You glanced up at the sound of his voice and swallowed past the lump in your throat as you realized just how close you were to him. “Does it hurt?”
He shrugged. “Hurt like hell at the time. Now, not so much.” His thumb rubbed against the hand he was holding making a tremor shoot through you.
You reached your other hand up and traced one of the many scars that decorated his skin. He hissed in a breath. Your first instinct was to apologize but you resisted the urge and looked up to meet Tony’s gaze. His eyes studied your face as the corner of his mouth kicked up in a grin. “If you’re planning on checking out all my scars, it’s going to take a while. Not that I mind. I just think you should be prepared.”
The two of you leaned toward each other and your eyelids closed as you prepared for the kiss.
“Ms. Potts is requesting that you meet her in your apartment, Mr. Stark.” Jarvis’ voice cut through the silence in the room and you took a giant step away from Tony as you were reminded of his girlfriend.
Your face was warm and you suddenly found yourself unable to meet his gaze.
“Thank you, Jarvis. Impeccable timing,” Tony bit out.
“Of course, sir.”
You couldn’t keep yourself from glancing up. Tony gave you a smile as he put his shirt back on. His eyes stayed locked on yours as he gave instructions to the AI. “Tell Pepper I’ll meet her in her office.”
He stepped toward you, stopping when you took a step back to maintain the distance. He held up his hands and leaned against the table behind him so you knew he was giving you the space you needed right now. “Pepper is not my girlfriend.”
You bit your lip. “It’s not really my business.”
“I think it is.”
You glanced down briefly before looking back up. “Then does she know she’s not your girlfriend? Because I’m not so sure she does.”
His dark eyes studied you but he said nothing.
You cleared your throat and gestured toward the door. “I should go.”
He nodded once. “Just remember, sweetheart, we’re not even close to done here.”

You can furthermore buy instagram cronies through these platforms at a certainly affordable price.
It's no indistinctive that thing opportunities are quickly growing on Instagram. approximately 80% of Instagram's 1 billion active monthly users now follow a thing account on the platform. even if Instagram hasn't reported its current number of thing users, the platform reportedly hosted more than 25 million of these accounts in tardy 2017. As the platform continues to build up and build more interactive features, such as Instagram Stories, businesses are regularly using it as a tool to humanize brands, recruit difficult employees, showcase products and company culture, delight customers, and generate supplementary business. But here's the deal: Unless you're famous, it's essentially difficult to build up a huge taking into account on Instagram without some difficult work. The average person or business, growing your taking into account takes epoch and attention on a daily basis.
Luckily, there are a few things you can reach right away to accumulate at least 1,000 character cronies for your personal or professional Instagram account. It's every just about knowing where to invest your epoch and effort. Let's discuss a few strategies that will put up to you gain those followers, from creating a follow-worthy Instagram profile, to using contests, to staying legal to your brand. First things first: customize your Instagram profile to create it look good, tell your potential cronies who you are, and meet the expense of them a reason to follow you.
How? begin by making clear your username is recognizable and easily searchable  taking into account your thing name. If your thing reveal is already taken, attempt keeping your thing reveal as the first part of your username hence that people searching for your thing are more likely to come across you. For example, the Australian activewear line Lorna Jane uses the username.
When youre just starting out taking into account an online business, it can be venturesome to imagine how you can successfully sell your product through Instagram taking into account you have built taking place your follower base. But unquestionable is, your first 10,000 Instagram cronies are the hardest to get. Why? No one knows who you are yet. Youve still got to prove yourself as a successful brand and influencer. But that doesnt point toward its not possible. If you follow this guide on how to acquire cronies on Instagram, you could hit 10,000 Instagram cronies in as tiny as six months.
Are you just starting to learn how to acquire cronies on Instagram? This tactic is best for beginners. Some Instagram newbies have seen their Instagram cronies increase fast. What did they reach differently? They associated combination groups. even if it can be enthralling to belong to the biggest Instagram combination groups, the unquestionable is youll acquire a more targeted list of Instagram cronies by sticking to your niche. You can find combination groups for travel, beauty, fashion and more. In these groups, you can acquire cronies and likes from people who have shared interests. But if youre omnipresent just about getting the attention, you should furthermore reward the favor by taking into account follower pages for people who belong to the group. Ive had connections acquire 2,000 supplementary cronies in single-handedly a couple weeks using this strategy. even if it might not put up to taking into account brusque sales, it helps you gain credibility at the forefront on hence your Instagram page doesnt put it on that you single-handedly have 38 followers. This is more of a short-term strategy for your first few weeks on Instagram, not a long-term one for getting Instagram followers. You can learn supplementary unbelievable Instagram behavior taking into account this in our forgive Instagram course.
When I was starting out taking into account social media marketing and building my stores Instagram account, my entire posting strategy revolved almost reposting supplementary peoples content. The single-handedly artifice to reach this without getting flagged is to version the original flyer in your description, every time. Instagram has now updated their policy and youre required to question for permission since reposting. taking into account I first started, Id understand screenshots and build up the pictures to my Instagram. What essentially helped my page understand off was the Repost app. It allowed me to begin reposting video content on Instagram. One of the biggest house runs I had was taking into account I re-posted a video that accumulate 52,862 views, got 1264 comments and 9,147 likes. At the time, I didnt even have 10,000 cronies hence this was a huge freaking deal.
Whyd I repost supplementary peoples content on the other hand of posting my own?
Because I knew that it was easier to repost content. Plus, my visual and video content would never be as good as someone elses. Hey, at least Im honest just about it! How did I know what to repost? Id look at the numbers. Hashtags are a great artifice to acquire supplementary followers. I was lovely active on Instagram hence Id browse the list of hashtags I came taking place taking into account and used daily to find the summit drama posts that werent posted by supplementary follower pages (so not my competitors) but by individual people. Id subsequently watch the videos and look at the pictures to look which ones I had the biggest reactions to. If I felt the urge to part someone elses post, I knew I had to repost it onto my page. hence if youre just learning how to acquire cronies on Instagram, this high-impact strategy is simple ample for a beginner.
If youve never had a customer before, achieve out to influencers in your bay taking into account under 5,000 followers. I know the number seems low but influencers taking into account few cronies on Instagram want to monetize their accounts and will be pleasing to understand pictures taking into account your products at a much belittle rate. You can furthermore meet the expense of them an affiliate harmony where theyll acquire a commission for every sale they score taking into account their customer referral link. If youve already had a couple of sales, achieve out to customers and meet the expense of a forgive gift or cash incentive for taking character images taking into account the product they purchased. Offering incentives isnt going to be your long-term strategy but for the short-term, even if you attempt to construct your brand, this can put up to you grow. As more customers begin seeing customer photos on your Instagram, theyll naturally begin tagging you in posts taking into account they receive their products. If you comment on their post, repost the content and follow them youll likely acquire them to follow back. even if some will follow you after tagging you in their reveal on their own.
Say you have a corgi follower page, every day you reveal gorgeous corgi pictures and videos without fail. If Instagram users keep seeing your posts eventually theyll reach that you always reveal the cutest corgi content. hence they follow you taking into account the expectation that your account will always be more of the similar type of content. Having a consistent style or theme is more than just a branding play, its just about creating an expectation for your Instagram account that your cronies or potential cronies can tote up on. They want to look more of the similar type of content, every day. If you can talk to that consistency taking into account every post, youll build up your cronies on Instagram at a faster rate beyond time.
Many experts will tell you to single-handedly use 5 or 11 hashtags or some supplementary arbitrary numbers. But taking into account I was building my stores Instagram account, I ignored their advice and ran wild taking into account it. Id copy and paste a list of hashtags from my phone onto my app. Then, Id sometimes switch it taking place to attempt oscillate hashtags but eventually, I knew which ones usually worked best. Usually, Id go as near to or right to the max number of hashtags possible. 30. Thats the illusion number. unquestionable is, you build up every those hashtags in the first comment. And as your page combination grows, no one will ever look the first comment because theyre too blooming tagging their friend in your post. Sure, taking into account youre starting out people might look it. But if the point toward is to increase visibility, the easiest artifice to reach it is to build up more hashtags. As you gain followers, your posts will rank difficult for those hashtag keywords giving you even more visibility. If your hashtags are bay specific, youll increase your likelihood of subconscious found by a relevant audience which will put up to you build up your cronies on Instagram as well. hence avoid generic hashtags taking into account #love or #picoftheday if youre selling fashion, for example.
Say you have a fashion blog, you might write a blog reveal just about styling tips. You can pick posts from Instagram where you put it on pictures of your layered outfits or a accepted outfit look. Youd subsequently go onto the Instagram website on your desktop, go to your page, click the post, click the  icon and click Embed. subsequently you copy that belong to into your blog posts code section. beyond time, more people will be visiting your blog and will be more likely to check out your Instagram account too.
I know that this is more of a long-term game. Especially if youre not getting traffic today. But adding together your Instagram posts right from the introduction gives you a difficult unplanned of visibility taking into account six months from now you essentially begin seeing omnipresent returns.
To acquire that Instagram cronies increase you dependence to find people who follow brands. Who are your biggest competitors on Instagram? Write them down. Then, browse their posts to look whos commenting on their posts. Follow them and engage taking into account them.
Keep in mind that taking into account choosing competitors on Instagram its bigger to go for the smaller brands. Why? Because if you were selling makeup brushes and irritating to acquire people who comment on Sephora, theres a good unplanned that theyre not the right audience despite subconscious in a similar niche. bigger brands tend to have more customer loyalty.
However, if you have a competitor who has 100,000 fans on their page, they may not have a allegiance to that brand.
When commenting on posts of those you follow, dont panic them off taking into account a sales auditorium or the similar comment for every person you message. If they question a https://www.socialpave.com/ question on their post, meet the expense of them an answer. look at the types of comments others are giving and use that as a guideline for what you can comment too.
As you keep engaging and taking into account people, youll begin to build up a strong taking into account of your own.
If an influencer has a faithful following, they can meet the expense of you a shoutout thatll consequences in supplementary cronies for your account and possibly a few sales.
Be clear to write taking place a settlement that prohibits the influencer from sending put it on traffic. We taking into account worked taking into account an influencer who gave us a shoutout and we got 2,000 put it on cronies on our account. It was obvious she used a bot. taking into account you acquire a brusque hurry of put it on follower on your account you risk getting your account banned.
If youre looking for a more keen entre to acquire supplementary followers, question the influencer you put it on taking into account to reach an account invasion on your Instagram Stories. That way, people will have to follow your page to view the story. Youll dependence to acquire him or her to let their audience know a few days in advance.
If you host giveaways on Instagram and have a small audience, you might be nimble to acquire more followers. But if you host giveaways on your website and tote up an another to follow you on Instagram and supplementary social networks, youll have a much bigger reach.
If your audience size is small you can reveal your giveaway in clear giveaway facebook groups or on giveaway blogs.
When I first started keen in marketing, Id achieve out to giveaway blogs. Id send them some forgive products in row for a review post. Most certainly to it for the forgive product even if some did question for payment as well. Theyd reach a product review reveal filled taking into account pictures and their experiences taking into account the product. At the end, their audience would enter to win the product under the condition that you send that customer the product. Wed acquire hundreds of supplementary cronies on every our social accounts. This is a great artifice to acquire supplementary cronies if you dont have an audience. But it might not be as targeted than if you were to host a giveaway on a relevant bay blog.
If youre just starting out, giveaways can put up to you acquire more cronies on Instagram. However, if you reach them too often, you might not acquire the right type of audience you want. If your point toward is to acquire sales, giveaways wont necessarily put up to you acquire more of them. even if you can attempt this giveaway hack to acquire more sales. But if youre single-handedly looking to acquire Instagram cronies fast, this strategy can put it on quite well.
If youre just learning how to acquire cronies on Instagram, a tricked I hypothetical even if keen on my case psychoanalysis was to understand my own product photos. on the other hand of reposting supplementary peoples content, supplementary brands reposted one of my photos crediting me. since the brand has approximately 300k cronies I ended taking place getting a few supplementary Instagram cronies from their audience. I didnt have to reach any at the forefront put it on aside from taking my own photos. I didnt even have to achieve out to acquire supplementary cronies on Instagram. They reached out to me. And they werent the single-handedly brand to reach so.
When I first started building my stores Instagram account, I used a bot, an app to increase Instagram followers, called Instagress. It worked essentially capably at first which allowed me to easily construct taking place the first few thousand Instagram followers. Eventually, I stopped because I didnt dependence it anymore. Unfortunately, Instagress and supplementary apps to increase Instagram cronies usually acquire shut down. And some people who use them can acquire their entire Instagram account shut down. even if they can put it on well, the risk just isnt worth it.

Initially, tools taking into account Instagress were useful for engagement, but taking into account the expertise to point toward cronies and sponsor content, theyre no longer needed.
What advice would you meet the expense of someone who asks you how to acquire cronies on Instagram?
Post, post, post! The more users [you have seeing] your content, the more familiar theyll become taking into account your brand, causing them to like, follow, and share. The more you post, the more users character taking into account they know you.

Thats the effect that constant content provides for influencers.

Heres a video from Nathan on the summit five forgive ways to build up your Instagram. In this video, Nathan talks just about some of the strategies we discuss in this article that Foundr used to build up hence rapidly. This part is going to understand some thought and effort. To gain a huge taking into account of real people on Instagram, you have to build content thats not single-handedly made specifically for Instagram, but furthermore content thats the right fit for what your audience wants. Finding the right entre and style is crucial, because its going to become the artifice your cronies understand you.
Generally speaking, there are types of images that put it on capably taking into account a lot of industries; posters taking into account inspirational or humorous quotes, character food photography, or scenic images are safe starting points.
That subconscious said, intentionally deem what type of content it is that youre producing. You have to recall that Instagram is such a hit because its a wholly unique platform, and the experience it provides the addict is certainly oscillate than something taking into account Facebook or Twitter.
Consider things like: How are people going to find your content? What hashtags are you going to use? If someone searches one of these hashtags and finds your posts, are they going to be intrigued ample to click through to your account, or will they be disappointed that theres no correlation amongst your reveal and the hashtag?
What is it just about the images you build that will create people reach more than just scroll on by? According to Zabisco, humans process visuals 60,000 epoch faster than plain text. In less than a second, a person decides, based on the images you share, whether or not youre worth their time. That means you dependence to stand out. taking into account you harmonize on your content type and strategy, its certainly important that you fasten to that theme. The number one thing that keeps people coming put up to to any brand or thing is consistency, whether its a Starbucks Macchiato or a Snickers bar. Its exactly the similar taking into account the kind of content you produce.
The reason Foundr has hence many real cronies on Instagram is because people can expect a consistently high level of character from us. They know that on Instagram, we build a clear kind of post, and that trust is what keeps them coming put up to for more.
This is furthermore why were intensely selective of the type of accounts and posts we select for a share-for-share (S4S) (more on this later). Were certainly protective of our brand and our audience, which is why we single-handedly ever want to be producing content were absolutely clear our bay wants. A common misfortune a lot of people aim taking into account starting out on Instagram is that theyre not certainly clear what type of theme or content it is they want to produce. Unfortunately, there essentially is no simple solution, because at the end of the day you dont want to be a copycat of a larger account. To be essentially successful on Instagram, you dependence to be a tiny unique.
The best artifice to acquire started is to reach some hashtag research (dont worry, were going to dig deep into hashtags in Section 6). Check out SaaSs (software as a service) taking into account Iconosquare to find out what hashtags are trending and which one fits you best. find competitors who use the similar hashtags as you do, or even find users who follow these hashtags and look what supplementary kind of content they like. From there, its just a thing of psychoanalysis out your content. reach some A/B testing, attempt one type of content one week and attempt something else the week after. find out what works best, and essentially acquire to know your audience.
To acquire you started, be clear to check out apps taking into account WordSwag and Typorama for text-focused Instagram posts. We use these certainly similar apps for our own Instagram account! taking into account you know what type of content is right for your brand, its epoch to essentially focus on creating great posts that you know are going to attach taking into account your audience. This might seem obvious, but we always look the content foundation itself getting neglected. find out what your customers enjoy seeing on Instagram or what themes resonate taking into account them, and populate your account taking into account relevant images.
But youve got to attach taking into account your audience, specifically. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Thats why its hence crucial to build a good relationship taking into account your audience, hence you learn what type of content it is they like. There have been numerous epoch taking into account weve posted something that we thought would absolutely rout it taking into account engagement, but it turned out to be a dud. supplementary epoch weve been left scratching our heads as to why this one reveal is hence popular.
One good artifice to find out what your customers taking into account is by checking out what your competition is posting, or what kind of imagery is used on the websites or blogs that are popular in your industry.
If youre in an industry where what youre selling is already visually appealing, photos of what you reach is not a bad idea either. However, keep such images in the minority; posting a lot just about yourself on social media is just taking into account subconscious the person at BBQ who single-handedly talks just about themselves.
On that note, its essentially important that you dont control the risk of oversharing. A celebrity can acquire away taking into account it because a large part of their appeal and brand is their personal life. Fans are genuinely interested as to what Beyonce is having for dinner or what exactly it is the stone is cooking. If youre executive a personal account, thats furthermore certainly fine, because its explicit and clear that this is an account for sharing your indistinctive life.
However, if youre executive a professional account, unless your personal photos actually fit in taking into account the theme of your brand, its not a good idea. For example, as a CEO or founder, a personal photo of how youve organized your put it on desk would fit in taking into account your theme. A personal photo of you in Vegas doesnt have the similar effect.
Oversharing means that you lose out on combination because your content is just too off subject and uncertain to construct a consistent audience.
On Instagram, combination is king. For best results, we found images that set in motion an emotion or questions that elicit some thought put it on essentially well. For example, this image under got beyond 95% more combination than our regular posts. For Instagram, were told that 1% combination in terms of likes is a good metric to follow.

Also, images that dont tote up faces, but using a point-of-view shot where the camera acts as the eyes of the audience can put up to them create them character taking into account theyre a part of the image. By adding together in a call to action, people are 25% more likely to follow through on that put it on than without it.
This CTA should be relevant to the photo, and not the similar as the one you used in your bio (more on your bio later). Its a softer ask.
how to acquire more cronies on instagram Think of a CTA as a artifice to remind people that there is an put it on they could take. By adding together a CTA to your image, every youre put it on is reminding your cronies that they dont have to just scroll on past, they can actually reach supplementary things, including liking your picture, or writing a comment.

According to the famed Pareto principle, 80% of your results single-handedly come from 20% of your audience, or 80% of your revenue single-handedly comes from 20% of your customers. even if more of a deem of thumb than a difficult scientific fact, the Pareto principle should create you reach that its not just about having a large follower tote up as much as it is just about having a large core of engaged followers.how to acquire more cronies on instagram increase instagram engagement You dont want a huge follower tote up because it gives you bragging rights; you want a huge follower tote up because by increasing your achieve and exposure, you increase the likelihood of finding one legal follower.

Its unbelievable how many brands forget the social aspect of social media networks. Its no longer a one-way communication model where the audience passively has to accept what you have to say. If someone takes the epoch to actually write a comment on your post, the certainly least you can reach is reply.
Its a simple reward for those who bother to engage taking into account you in a dialogue. Something as simple as that goes a long artifice toward turning someone into a legal fan. Well even send private messages to our supplementary cronies taking into account its appropriate. To proliferate on Instagram, youre going to have to achieve out and interact taking into account some real, living humans. Networking can put it on wonders, not single-handedly IRL, but furthermore in the social media sphere. It was a huge driver of Foundrs success.
When we started, we managed to acquire introduced to this huge network of entrepreneurs, every taking into account accounts of beyond 20,000 Instagram followers. They helped us out huge epoch by sharing our content, and there are similar networks for every kinds of industries, taking into account users who are every pleasing to put up to out, hence long as you reward the favor of course!
Remember, if you put up to people and dont expect whatever in return, not single-handedly is it good karma, but it comes put up to to you tenfold. hence dont entre joining and teaming taking place taking into account supplementary accounts taking into account an attitude of, Whats in it for me? Rather, think of it as just helping your fellow person out, and you never know, good things may happen to you alongside the road.
Use Shoutouts To acquire More Instagram Followers When it comes to growing a huge taking into account on Instagram, youre going to have to acquire used to the idea of collaboration beyond competition.
This is where the incredibly powerful concept of S4S comes into play. For newcomers, S4S stands for share for share. If youre looking to house a million cronies on Instagram, or even tens of thousands, you dependence to acquire used to the idea of sharing supplementary peoples content.
The basics of S4S are quite simple. You question another influencer in your bay if they would taking into account to part your content, and in reward you will part theirs.
This artifice youll be nimble to let breathe each others brands to each others audiences, some of whom likely have never even heard of you before. The best part is that if you pick who you reach S4S taking into account carefully, youll probably find someone taking into account an audience who you know will taking into account your content too. Youll quickly discover that one of the greatest things just about Instagram is that it allows you to tap directly into a bay taking into account clear likes, interests, hobbies, and needs.
how to acquire more instagram cronies using part for share As you can look from the image above, it doesnt have to point toward directly sharing each others content; you can just meet the expense of a shoutout to someone elses account in the caption.
These types of transactions are unique to Instagram and absolutely invaluable for anyone who wants to cultivate a huge following. But recall that you should always look to be providing a mutual row of value.
Dont think of others in your bay as your competition, but as potential partners.
If youre afraid that someone is going to steal your followers and, as a result, refuse to put it on taking into account others, subsequently it is intensely unlikely youre going to build any kind of real traction on Instagram.
So taking into account that in mind, heres the neighboring indistinctive on how to maximize your S4S potential: belong to a shoutout group.
A shoutout outfit is basically an informal outfit of Instagrammers who have come together in order to withhold each supplementary by put it on S4S for one another. hence on the other hand of having to for all time find someone supplementary to reach S4S taking into account every single time, youll on the other hand have a dedicated outfit of people who you can reliably depend on to row shares.
Of course, shoutout groups come in every shapes and sizes. Sometimes youll find a outfit taking into account taking place to hundreds of people who are conveniently shopping for supplementary people to reach S4S with. kind of taking into account an ad-hoc Instagram marketplace.
how to acquire more instagram cronies using s4s part for share Other epoch you might find a more dedicated outfit of people who are certainly selective of their members and might have even created a set schedule for every members to follow.
how to acquire more cronies on instagram using a yell out outfit You might be amazed by how capably you acquire to know one another beyond Instagram, and even accidentally set taking place your own mastermind group. You might reach more than just row tips just about Instagram, and even begin helping each others businesses out more directly. You might even create a friend or two.
how to acquire more cronies on instagram taking into account s4s But dont begin thinking that these are some sort of red triangle illuminati groups that require cryptic foundation processes.
Most groups, and Instagrammers in general, use Kik as the primary source of communication. However, Ive seen and been a part of groups that use Slack, GroupMe and even regular Facebook groups.
All it takes is having a kind attitude even if put it on S4S and looking to construct a relationship beyond Instagram. since you know it, youll find yourself subconscious invited to an S4S outfit yourself. Or you might even want to create your own and invite others!
Types of Instagram Shoutouts When youre just starting out, it can be a tiny intimidating to question supplementary accounts to reach a shoutout for you, but the encouragement essentially reach outweigh the costs. Having a large account yell you out will reach more for your follower tote up than whatever else. But its super important to create clear that youre choosing the right accounts to acquire a shoutout from.
If youre choosing an account based on unquestionable cronies and their theme or audience doesnt harmonize yours, subsequently every youve ended is wasted epoch and money, because theres no guarantee that such a shoutout is going to acquire you a good ROI.
There are a few oscillate types of shoutouts you can pursue.
Caption single-handedly shoutouts: The page uses its own image and style that it usually would, and mentions your page in the caption. This works, but is not as keen as your own image or branded image. Caption single-handedly can be a cheaper alternative. OR
Your own image taking into account your product or encouragement + caption. This works bigger than just a caption-based shoutout, but you have to create clear the call to put it on is good. Some accounts will single-handedly let you put taking place the image for a clear epoch of time, and others will let it stay up. Usually the difficult traffic the page, the more you look rules and restrictions. The strategy astern the shoutouts can furthermore vary. What we recommend is adding together a CTA to follow your page on the other hand of one that leads people to subscribe or optin, as you can invade the audience and engage taking into account them more. We have tried both pushing the Foundr subscription and getting the viewer to follow our page, and we have found its artifice more keen to acquire them to follow you. You have to recall you cant put clickable connections in the captions, hence it can be difficult to acquire people to put it on specific actions. It takes more epoch for people to go to the bio, find the link, click on it, and subsequently subscribe, than it does for them to click the follow button.
S4S Bargaining taking into account Youre Just Getting Started Just taking into account any supplementary transaction in the world, S4S is every just about having a mutually beneficial exchange. You have to ensure that both parties are getting something of similar value out of this exchange.
If you have an account taking into account single-handedly a few thousand cronies and question another account taking into account 500,000 followers, youre either going to be ignored, good-humoredly refused, or outright laughed at. What realizable gain could that larger account acquire from the smaller one?
Unless you have something equally indispensable to leverage, subsequently you shouldnt be asking someone to reach S4S for you. Thats lovely much the equivalent of bringing a knife to a gunfight (dont worry, nobody is essentially fighting).
That leads to one of the questions we acquire asked the most at Foundr, How reach I meet the expense of leverage in S4S?

My Youth (Chapter 6)
Broken and miserable, Park Jinyoung returns to his hometown to learn that no matter how hard he falls, there are still people who think he’s a hero.
Warnings: Mentions of suicide/depression, death, angst, slow build, maybe some language.(Please don’t ask when I’ll update. Wait until the series is finished to read if you’re impatient.)
Word Count: 5.7k+
(Can’t put links to the other parts here, please check my Masterlist/the reblog for the Prologue and Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)
Tumblr media
“-Mom, I’m busy,” Jinyoung muttered into the phone. He had been sitting in a crucial meeting with the Finance Director of GOT Tech and representatives of the Financial Regulatory Board. Receiving approval for his company to go public was one of the most critical and risky steps in Jinyoung’s career.
His mother, however, had been calling him constantly for the last twenty minutes.
Mrs. Park sounded upset. “I’m sorry, Jinyoung, dear. I just needed to reach you-”
“Mom, I’m in an extremely important meeting right now. Do you know how it looks when the Managing Director of GOT Group keeps getting calls from his mother during business meetings? What do you want from me?” Jinyoung demanded in a frustrated whisper, running his fingers through his hair. He tried not to let his agitation show on his face; the other high-profile attendees of the meeting could still see him through the glass wall of the conference room.
“Jinyoung, there’s been a terrible tragedy in town,” his mother began nervously. “I don’t… I don’t know how to tell you this, but i suppose there’s no easy way to talk about a death.  Remember I told you that I’ve been going to the hospital every day to meet-”
Jinyoung felt a burst of irritation. The clock was ticking. The Board members were waiting for him impatiently and he could see the disapproval on their faces. “Mom, did you call me to tell me that someone died?”
“Well… yes, but-”
“Mom, I have been preparing for this presentation for months. The future of my company depends on this meeting. This is absolutely the worst time you could have chosen to tell me something like this,” Jinyoung muttered through gritted teeth. He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself. “Please don’t mess up my focus right now. We can talk about this later. Do you need anything from me urgently?”
Mrs. Park hesitated. “You always seem to be busy these days. I just thought… if we could maybe help out with the funeral expenses or the hospital bills…”
Jinyoung closed his eyes. “Mom, you can just call my secretary for that. She’ll send you whatever amount you need. Send them flowers from me or something, okay? I have to go now.”
“Take care, Jinyoung, dear-”
“Bye, Mom.”
Jinyoung hung up and sighed, pressing his fingers to his temple. His personal secretary had followed him out of the room and was watching him nervously. He hadn’t even asked his mother who it was that had passed away. Was it somebody he knew? Maybe it was best that he didn’t think about it too much for now.
“Take my Mom’s call and ask her who died, send them money for the funeral and all those formalities,” Jinyoung told his secretary shortly. She nodded and made a note of it on her phone quickly while Jinyoung cleared his mind.
Focus. The presentation. The numbers.
Jinyoung took a deep, calming breath and plastered a rehearsed smile on his face before he turned to enter the conference room once more.
“I’m so sorry to keep you gentlemen waiting,” Jinyoung greeted all the well-dressed men with a bright smile. “I hope you can forgive me. Mothers seem to have a knack for calling at the most inconvenient times, don’t they?”
The men chuckled politely. “That’s perfectly fine, Mr. Park.”
“May I begin the presentation?”
“Please, do.”
--------
Jinyoung believed that to achieve something great, you needed to make certain sacrifices.
He had always known that the path he was embarking upon was not an easy one. Establishing your own business meant that you didn't get off work at 5 pm sharp, you couldn’t spend your weekends at a countryside cabin or getting drinks with your friends. You needed to keep working until things got done. You needed to compete in the market. You needed to be strong enough to pick up after your losses and clever enough to make friends in the right places. People were depending on you.
Jinyoung hadn’t merely chosen a career, he had chosen a life.
A very lonely life.
Whenever his mother would call him and try to have a casual chat, Jinyoung would find himself irritated. Who cared whether Mrs. Lee from the grocery store was giving a discount on strawberry bread? What did it matter if Mr. Cha had been trying to sell his little farmland? There was important work to be done. Jinyoung needed to talk to the advertising agents to make sure his products were being launched properly, he needed to negotiate discounts with suppliers to ensure he could meet the planned pricing goals. There were employees relying on him. There were investors who had trusted him with their money. There were quarterly goals that had to be met.
Every second of Jinyoung’s time was precious. Why couldn’t everyone understand that? Why couldn’t his mother stop thinking that her tiny little world in this tiny little town was everything, and understand the importance of what her son was doing?
There are a limited number of hours every man has at his disposal. We each make a conscious choice regarding how to spend each one.
It was only now, standing in front of your mother’s grave, that Jinyoung came a terrifying realization.
He had made the wrong choices.
------
“It was heart failure,” Mrs. Park whispered.
Jinyoung’s hands clutched the cup of tea firmly. It was hot and uncomfortable, but not more than the sick feeling in his stomach. Every word his mother spoke made him feel more pathetic.
What had he been doing all those months while your mother was in hospital and when she’d died? Preparing for his company to go public? Sitting in meetings and sucking up to corporate officials? Only to be fired and thrown out of the company. Only to have missed the death of somebody who had trusted him and cared for him.
“But she couldn’t have been that old…” Jinyoung muttered.
Mrs. Park shook her head softly. “She’d always had a weak heart, Jinyoung. Her health was fragile and after her husband passed away she had no choice but to work to support her daughter. All those long hours and late nights for years… they took their toll in the end. She had her first stroke three years ago. She was in hospital for a few weeks and then she had the second one; the one that took her life.”
Jinyoung closed his eyes, remembering your mother in his mind’s eye.
“She always looked tired. And worried.”
“She was.” Mrs. Park reached out and placed a hand over her son’s nervously. “I’m sorry, Jinyoung. I should have told you about it sooner. But you were always so busy in Seoul, always doing important things. It never seemed like the right time to tell you about something so devastating. It’s my fault.”
Jinyoung let out a small scoff. “Don’t take the blame on yourself. That doesn’t help me.”
Mrs. Park looked upset. “Jinyoung-”
She was interrupted by a loud knocking at the front door. Jinyoung closed his eyes and pressed his fingers to his temple while he listened to his father go to the door and yell at the person on the other side. The reporters had already found his home address. They had started arriving one-by-one since this morning. Each of them desperately wanted an interview with Park Jinyoung, the man who had lost his empire overnight. They wanted to know what he had to say about his dismissal from his own company.
Mr. Park re-entered the living room and sighed. “They’re getting more persistent. I think I should call the local police before they start trying to shove their way into our house.”
Jinyoung nodded and stood up. “I’ll go down to the police station myself and ask them to send someone to deal with this harrassment. Mom, you’ve told everyone we know to deny any reporters who request them for an interview, right?”
“Yes, but is it really a good idea for you to be going outside now-”
“I think I’ll lose my mind if I stay indoors,” Jinyoung muttered. He grabbed the black hoodie that was slung over the back of the sofa and glanced at his parents. They were both looking at him with wide, worried eyes.
Jinyoung felt a sudden wave of guilt wash over him; why should they have to deal with so much because of his mistakes? Why was he always the one taking and yet never giving?
“I’m sorry,” he apologized softly. “I’ll try and be back for dinner.”
------
Jinyoung’s legs carried him naturally towards the elementary school.
Perhaps it was a subconscious urge to see you, even though he had no idea what he would say if you really appeared before him. Anything Jinyoung could have said to help should have been said three years ago. Words like I’m sorry seemed like an insensitive joke at this point; too little and far too late.
Jinyoung sat silently on the bench by the schoolyard with his face covered by his dark hoodie, and wondered how his life had brought him to this point.
Left with nothing with shame.
“Ahjussi!”
By the time Jinyoung looked up, there was already a tiny figure running straight towards him at full speed. He flinched and braced himself for the impact; only to have the small boy stop centimetres away from him and throw his arms around him happily. Jinyoung stiffened.
“What-”
“Ahjussi, you are Park Jinyoung!” Ki-woo cried delightedly. The boy was beaming. Jinyoung noticed for the first time that one of his front teeth was missing, but it was still one of the brightest smiles he had ever seen. “Miss told me yesterday! Why did you lie and say you weren't? I can’t believe the King of the Playground walked me home after school and I didn’t even know!”
Jinyoung couldn’t resist a small smile. The sight of the little boy bouncing on his feet warmed him for a moment and he patted Ki-woo on the head. “If somebody asked Clark Kent if he was Superman, he wouldn’t say yes, now would he?”
Ki-woo’s eyes widened in understanding. “Wow. That’s so true! You’re so cool!”
“You’ll have to keep my secret.”
“Of course I will! Ahjussi, can you tell me how you did it? How did you manage to climb the oak tree?” Ki-woo demanded, grabbing Jinyoung’s arm and tugging on it eagerly. “You have to tell me, you just have to! Were you really tall?”
Jinyoung blinked. “Tall? Not particularly…”
“Then how? How did you do it?”
Jinyoung opened his mouth to respond but he was cut off by a loud yell. He had been so preoccupied with Ki-woo that he hadn’t noticed the much larger man that was making his way across the school yard. Jackson Wang had a huge smile on his face and without greeting, he threw his arms around Jinyoung in a fierce hug.
“Park Jinyoung! Look who finally decided to grace us with his presence!” Jackson cried happily. He pulled back and noticed the blank look on Jinyoung’s face. With a frown, he pointed to himself eagerly. “Remember me? Jackson! Jackson Wang! You used to pass me all the answers in History class!”
Jinyoung swallowed. “Uh…”
“Mr. Wang, you’re friends with Park Jinyoung?” Ki-woo asked, his mouth gaping open.
Jackson blinked and looked down at the boy sheepishly. “Ah, Ki-woo. I didn’t see you down there. Didn’t your teacher tell you to wait inside until someone came to pick you up? Go back indoors now.”
Ki-woo pouted. “But-”
“Nope. Back inside. Now.”
Jackson waited until Ki-woo began to slouch back towards the school building and then turned back to Jinyoung. “Man, you’re pretty much the celebrity around these parts now, eh? We had a couple of reporters come by the school this morning, asking for anyone who used to know you. You have nothing to worry about! I scared them off. These babies aren’t here for nothing,” Jackson beamed and flexed his bare bicep.
Jinyoung didn’t really know how to respond. “Nice.”
Jackson narrowed his eyes. “You do remember me, right?”
“Yeah, yeah, of course-”
“We should get drinks sometime and catch up now that you’re back in town! Man, I really owe you. You did me a solid one that Christmas before you left, remember? I’ll buy you a couple of beers at the pub. What’s your phone number?” Jackson demanded.
“I don’t really have a phone right now…”
“Don’t have a phone?” Jackson looked confused. “Weird but okay. I guess I can always ask Miss First Grade to get in touch with you. I can’t believe she didn’t tell me you were back in town!” he cried, slapping Jinyoung’s arm playfully. “Hold on… you’re here to see her, aren’t you?”
Jinyoung cleared his throat. “Not exactly…”
Jackson chuckled knowingly. “No worries, man. I’ve got your back. I need to go inside and take care of the kids now, so I’ll tell her to come out and meet you here, yeah? Let me know if any more of those reporters come around. I’ll take handle them for you!”
Jinyoung forced a smile. “Thanks-”
“No problem, man. It’s what friends are for. We’ll catch up soon!”
“Sure.”
Jinyoung watched Jackson half-run back to the school building, letting out a sigh of relief. Each person he came across in this town seemed to remember something about him and the one who possessed the most dangerous knowledge was Jackson Wang. In addition to having been the resident supplier of inappropriate magazines and the one who’d convinced Jinyoung to try his first cigarette behind the park back in high school, Jackson simply knew a little too much about everybody.
Jinyoung sat down on the bench and took a deep breath. He just realized that Jackson had said he would send you out to meet him. Why hadn’t he told him not to? He wasn’t prepared to face you. Idiot.
It was a few minutes before you emerged from the school building and walked towards Jinyoung. There was a pleasant smile on your face as you approached, and it made Jinyoung’s stomach turn. How could you smile at him like that? How could you be so calm about everything?
“Jinyoung,” you greeted him, confused. “Should you be roaming around out here? There are reporters buzzing all around town.”
Jinyoung cleared his throat. “Uh. Yeah, I know. Jackson said he drove them away...”
You rolled your eyes. “That idiot Jackson Wang? He was fully prepared to seize his five minutes of fame by telling them how you used to help him cheat in History class. I had to step in and force him to deny the request for an interview,” you muttered. Jinyoung’s eyes widened and you gave him a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry. I sent a message to the principal of the middle school and the high school. Nobody’s going to give any interviews about you.”
Jinyoung felt small.
“Thanks,” he muttered.
“Did they find your house?”
“Yeah. They’ve been knocking the door all day. It’s really starting to bother Mom and Dad.”
Your expression was sympathetic. “Should I call the police?”
“Don’t worry. I was going to go down to the station myself and ask them to send someone to get rid of the reporters,” Jinyoung reassured you. He felt his heartbeat thump wildly as he looked at your gently smiling face. Should he say it? Should he talk about the elephant in the room? Even though he hadn’t prepared what to say?
“About… about last night…”
You blinked. “Yeah?”
He sighed. “About your mother. I’m sorry. I didn’t know. I know that’s no excuse, but I should have been there and-”
You cut him off with a forced smile. “Jinyoung. It’s okay. It’s not like you could have done anything for her even if you were here, you’re not a doctor. Everyone did the best they could.”
Jinyoung swallowed. “I might not have been able to help her. But… I should have been there for you.”
The smile dropped from your face. What could you say? Jinyoung’s eyes were filled with shame but it wasn’t the right time for him to be offering condolences. That time had long passed.
But you still remembered his words from last night as he’d hugged you. I don’t feel as alone when I’m here. Jinyoung had been through so much. How could you say anything to such a broken man except for it’s okay? How could you offer him anything but comfort when he had nobody but you?
How could you not be the bigger person when he was suffering?
“It’s fine, Jinyoung,” you promised him softly. “You don’t need to worry about it.”
“How can I not-”
“Seriously. Please. It’s in the past and nobody was to blame. It happened around the time your company was going public, so I can only imagine how chaotic your life and work must have been back then. I don’t resent you.”
Jinyoung looked up at you in disbelief. “How can you not?”
“I just… don’t. It’s fine.”
“Do you really mean that? Do you really mean that?” he demanded.
“I do,” you insisted firmly. You glanced at your watch and sighed. “Wow, it’s getting late. We have a PTA fundraiser at school tonight so I need to start setting up. Oh! Did you bring my bicycle by any chance?” you asked him hopefully.
Jinyoung shook his head. “Uh, no. The reporters were in front of my house so I slipped out through the back…”
“Can you drop it by the school later? I’m going to staying back pretty late because I have to wrap up after the event is over. It might even take till midnight and the buses stop running at 9 so I need a way to get home. It’s not too much trouble, is it?”
“No, that’s fine. I’ll drop it off here later.”
You gave him a small smile as you turned to go back indoors. “Bye, Jinyoung.”
“Bye.”
---------------------------
The PTA fundraiser left you drained of energy.
You would much rather have dealt with a hundred kids at once than with a handful of parents. At least kids could be made to see reason, they could be convinced with a little bit of logic (however flawed). Adults, on the other hand, believed that they knew best and that things had to be done exactly the way they wanted. Adults were unreasonable. Adults liked to throw around their authority.
You had never wanted to get into bed so badly.
You stayed back late to clean up after the fundraiser was over. It wasn’t required of you, but it was something that you somehow ended up volunteering to do. All the other teachers had families to go home to and kids to take care of. You only had an empty apartment.
Asking them to stay back instead of you felt selfish.
You slung your bag over your shoulder and trudged out into the parking lot to see that the bicycle racks were empty. Shit. Had Jinyoung forgotten to leave the bicycle behind for you? Where was he?
You pulled out your cell phone and then sighed. Damn Park Jinyoung. He didn’t even have a stupid phone. It was far past the time that Mr. and Mrs. Park would have gone to bed and you didn't want to wake them by calling them. But your apartment was too far to walk and you would have to pass by the pub; you had no interest in meeting the town’s drunkards alone in those narrow alleys  at midnight.
You sighed and dialled another number.
“Jackson, hey. I’m so sorry, I know you just left a little while ago, but…”
-------------------
It was 1am when you heard a loud banging on your front door.
You had just finished taking a shower and were getting ready to slip into bed when the noise began. Your heartbeat racing, you grabbed hold of a kitchen knife quickly and then slowly approached your door.
“Who’s there?” you yelled out, voice shaking.
The voice that replied was muffled. “Jinyoung!”
Jinyoung? At this time of night?
You opened the door carefully. The first thing that hit you was the awful smell; Jinyoung stank of sweat and cheap beer. His eyes were red and his face flushed as he looked at you almost wildly.
“Are you okay?” he demanded, grabbing your shoulders to look at you properly. His hands were trembling and he seemed unaware of how loud his voice was. “Are you all right? I was looking for you everywhere!”
You raised an eyebrow at him. “Wow, you’re drunk.”
Jinyoung’s eyes widened. “I’m sorry- I’m so, so, sorry-”
“How about you come inside before you bring my neighbours running over with all of your noise?” you snapped. You had little patience for drunks, and knowing that Jinyoung had been out getting drunk instead of returning your bicycle did not please you. “Where have you been?”
Jinyoung stared at you helplessly, his arms waving around as he spoke. “I-I was just going to get one drink, I swear. But it led to another and I totally forgot about your bike and I was so scared that you might have walked home because I know that path passes by the pub and it’s not safe-”
“Relax,” you told Jinyoung as you guided him gently towards your couch. “I didn't walk. I called Jackson, he drove me home.”
“Jackson? Wang? Why? Are you guys close?” he asked, plopping down heavily on the couch.
You shrugged. “He’s a good friend.”
Jinyoung paused for a moment and then hung his head quietly.
“We used to be good friends.”
You looked down at Jinyoung properly. He was a wreck. His dark hair was a tangled mess and the light blue dress shirt he was wearing was wrinkled with a beer stain on it. There were even large sweat stains under his arms; he’d probably cycled all the way here in a panic.
And he’s one of the Most Eligible Bachelors under 40. If only the magazine had seen him like this.
“We’re still friends,” you told him lightly. “Although it wouldn’t do any harm to return my bicycle when I ask for it. Do you want a glass of water?”
Jinyoung blinked at you dazedly. “Do you have beer?”
“Absolutely not. Haven’t you had enough?”
His lower lip pouted slightly as he stared down at the floor. “I’ve been drinking all evening but I haven’t reached the point where I feel good or forget about my problems yet. In fact, I keep thinking about them even more. How about a cigarette?”
“You will not smoke in my house,” you told him with a firm glare.
To your surprise, Jinyoung suddenly smiled. It was only a gentle curve of his lips but you spotted it and frowned at him with your arms folded across your chest. “Are you feeling proud of yourself right now? Do you think your behaviour is something to laugh about?” you demanded.
Jinyoung looked up at you softly. “No.”
“Then why are you-”
“Because this is the first time you’ve given me that look since I came back,” Jinyoung admitted quietly. His voice trembled. “This is the first time you got angry at me. You don’t seem to get angry at me anymore.”
You didn’t understand. “Why would you want me to be angry at you-”
“Because you have to be angry with someone before you can forgive them. You have to first admit that they hurt you or that they did something wrong, and only then can you begin to repair your relationship,” Jinyoung whispered. He looked up at you and you could see the tears brimming in his eyes. “So tell me honestly. Have you forgiven me already?”
You swallowed. “I was never mad at you to begin with-”
“You’re lying.”
You clenched your fists as your heartbeat thudded. “I’m not lying. You’re drunk. You should drink some water and you can sleep on the couch-”
Jinyoung looked up at you, his eyes bloodshot yet surprisingly clear. “You are lying. Either you’re lying or you’re not the same girl I remember.”
“Why would you say that?”
“Because the girl I knew wouldn’t have pretended to forgive a friend to spare his feelings. She would have grabbed me by the shirt, looked me in the eye, and said Park Jinyoung, you’re an absolute bastard for leaving me here when I was having a hard time. She wouldn’t have spared my feelings. She would have expected me to be there for her because that’s what friends do. They count on each other.”
You closed your eyes. How had Jinyoung seen right through you? Even after 10 years, how could he see through you like you were made of glass?
“I’m not angry,” you tried to tell him slowly, even though you weren’t sure who you were convincing anymore. “Because I never expected you to be there. You were busy and I had no expectations-”
Jinyoung scoffed. “You’re lying again.”
“I’m not-”
“You are. Friendship is when you help someone, because you trust that they would do the same for you. What you’re doing for me isn’t friendship. You don’t trust me anymore. If you have no expectations from me, then that’s charity!” Jinyoung spat out. Tears were brimming in his eyes and his voice was choked. “Is that what I am to you? Charity?”
You clenched your fists and let out a small, humourless laugh. “I can’t believe I’m hearing this.”
“What?”
“Where the fuck do you get off accusing me of treating you like charity? After what you did?” you snapped.
Jinyoung stared at you blankly. “Tell me.”
Your throat closed up. You didn’t want to talk about it. You didn’t want to drag yourself back to what had been the lowest point of your life, especially not in front of Jinyoung. You didn’t know who he was to you anymore. How could you open up to him?
“I can’t,” you muttered. “I don’t want to talk about it, Jinyoung.”
“Please,” Jinyoung whispered. “Please. At least tell me I was a terrible friend for not being there. Tell me I was a terrible friend for not even knowing about your mother.”
You took a deep breath and sat down, your knees feeling weak. You had never imagined that you would have to sit next to Jinyoung and say these words to him while he was drunk. Yet, as his dark eyes pierced into yours, he looked more sober than ever.
“It was my fault she died,” you whispered, shakily. “I know how hard my Mom worked to raise me. I know how much she struggled after my Dad passed away. The doctor told me her heart attack was probably caused by stress- years of it. She was growing old but she’d never even gone for a health check-up because we couldn’t afford it.”
Jinyoung stared at you silently.
“I needed someone to say this to back then,” you admitted quietly. “I needed someone who would listen to me and who wouldn’t try to convince me that it wasn’t my fault or that I didn't do anything wrong. That’s what everyone kept doing. They kept trying to comfort me but I just wanted someone who would listen. I wanted you,” you mumbled.
Jinyoung only nodded. His hands reached out to take both of yours. He grasped them tightly.
“I knew you were busy, but I always had this hope that maybe you would come to the funeral,” you whispered. “I thought… surely, whatever I did to make you cut me off, it wasn’t so bad that you wouldn't even turn up to my mother’s funeral. But the truth was that I couldn’t grieve properly because the hospital was hounding me about the bills, I…”
You took a deep breath. You hated thinking about those moments. You had felt so helpless and alone, backed into a corner. “I don’t think it even sank in that my mother was dead until a few days later,” you mumbled. “ I spent the first day wondering how the hell I was going to pay the hospital bills instead of thinking about her. Your mother tried comforting me, she told me it would all be fine and that she would call you for help.”
Jinyoung closed his eyes; tears were clinging to his eyelashes.
“She did,” he mumbled.
You felt the walls around you come crashing down as you looked at the broken man in front of you. You remembered how badly you’d wanted to see him then, how much you’d craved his comfort. You remembered how furious you had been when you realized that Jinyoung had abandoned you.
“I thought you would call,” you mumbled. “I didn’t want to disturb you but at the same time I trusted that you wouldn’t leave me alone at a time like that.”
Jinyoung’s voice was soft. “I’m sorry.”
“It would have been better if you hadn't done anything at all,” you mumbled. “Maybe then I could have forgotten about it in the mess that I was going through. But you didn’t. I got a call from your secretary the night before the funeral.”
Jinyoung lowered his head. His hands were trembling even as they held yours and you could hear his soft sniffle. “Shit,” he muttered, his voice thick with tears. “Shit, I can’t believe-”
“I thought you’d finally called. But it wasn’t you. I had to hear some strange woman tell me over the phone that Park Jinyoung is sorry he can’t make it to the funeral but he sends his condolences,” you choked out. You smiled humorlessly. “As if I was some distance acquaintance you barely knew. You sent me your condolences through your secretary.”
“I didn’t- I didn’t know it was you…”
“And then she told me that if I would just email her a copy of the hospital and funeral bills then all the expenses would be taken care of,” you mumbled. “She said that she could send me as much as I needed, no limit. I was so embarrassed. I wanted-I wanted to tell her that you could go fuck yourself and that I didn’t want your condolences and your money. I wanted to refuse so badly, but…”
You hung your head in shame. “But I couldn’t,” you whispered. “I couldn’t say that to her because it was true. I had no other way of paying those bills. So I sent her the details and I let you pay for them. Whether you know it or not, you paid for all my mother’s hospital bills and funeral while I sat here and wondered how I had become such a worthless daughter.”
Jinyoung’s hands clasped yours so tightly that it hurt. His shoulders were shaking and you could see the sobs racking his chest. “I didn’t mean to-” he sobbed. Jinyoung’s tears landed on your clasped hands. “I didn’t mean to, I swear…”
You slowly removed your hands from his. “I have the accounts,” you muttered. “I’ve been saving up to pay you back. It might take me a few more years but-”
Jinyoung flinched. “Don’t say that.”
“It’s not open to discussion, Jinyoung.”
“Don’t say you’ll pay me back, please-”
“I will pay you back,” you said firmly. You took a deep breath. “You know why? Because I might be able to forgive you for not being there when I needed you. But I will never, never forget how cheap I felt the moment I ended that phone call. So don’t talk to me about charity; I know how it feels to be on the other end of it.”
Jinyoung closed his eyes. He felt light-headed and blank as he thought about everything you’d said. No wonder you didn’t consider him a friend. No wonder you couldn't bring yourself to be honest with him. No wonder there was something fake and forced about your every smile.
Jinyoung hadn’t just messed up.
He had destroyed something precious to him without even realizing it.
“It’s late,” you mumbled after a brief silence. “You should go to sleep. Here, just; make yourself comfortable on the couch and I’ll get you a blanket and some pillows.”
Jinyoung swallowed. “I-I can’t…”
“You’re not going anywhere at this time of night while you’re drunk,” you told him. You pushed him lightly so that he leaned back against the sofa. “Stay put. I’ll be back. I think we’ve talked enough for tonight.”
“Can you just promise me one thing?” Jinyoung asked quietly.
“What’s that?”
“Even if you don’t consider me your friend anymore, even if you’re just being nice to me because you’re that kind of a caring person… don’t give up on me completely.” Jinyoung looked up at you desperately. “Please. Tell me that I can fix things. Tell me I haven’t broken our friendship and my life beyond repair.”
You looked down at him. Lying on your couch in his crumpled dress shirt and the beer stains, Jinyoung looked pathetic. Perhaps it was because you’d finally let out all the resentment you’d been bottling up for so long. Perhaps it was because, looking into Jinyoung’s eyes now, you could see that he did care. But you suddenly didn’t feel so hollow anymore.
You didn’t feel so lonely in your pain.
“Everything can be fixed, Jinyoung,” you told him softly.
“Even us?” he mumbled.
You nodded. “Even us.”
“Even me?”
“Especially you.”
Jinyoung slowly closed his eyes and you went into the other room to get him a spare pillow and a blanket. He let you place the pillow under his head and snuggled into the soft blanket. You turned to switch off the light when you heard him mumble.
“You know something?”
“What, Jinyoung?”
“I thought that the most unbearable thing about being fired from the company was all the effort I’d put into it. I thought I couldn’t bear it because I’d done so much for it for the years,” he said slowly.
You blinked at his curled up figure under the blanket.
“But it’s not?” you asked.
Jinyoung shook his head. “It’s not how much I’ve done for the company that I can’t bear. It’s how much I sacrificed for it.”

time’s arrow {Roger Taylor}
Anon asked: Hi, I love your roger/ben imagines so much and was wondering if you could do some angst with Roger x female, maybe they are good friends and she sees him with another. Whatever you would like! Thank you x :)
A/N: 2727 words. A story told through Seasons. I took a little bit of liberties with the prompt, if that’s okay? This hit me like a lightning bolt and I had to write it. Angst with a happy ending. (I’m just trying to show I’ve got versatility in writing, okay?)
Warnings: Implied sex.
You meet him in Spring, before it all begins, he sits up the back of your Intro to Head and Neck Anatomy lectures, the only class with open spots available by the time you were looking for a science credit. You find out he’s in a band three weeks into the first class, finally going to the local bar, sick of cramming your brain full of information you’re not even sure is necessary for your degree. He grins at you and wow okay, you didn’t even think he’d recognise you.
“You’re in, um,” he’s leaning against the bar next to you in this dimly lit pub, grabbing a drink between sets. Faltering for a moment, his eyes travel down before you clear your throat, angry at yourself for blushing, but his smile widens, “my class.” He finishes, taking a sip of his beer. You agree, rolling your eyes at him, but even that seems to amuse him. He asks your name. The guitarist is calling him over, setting up for the next set, but you tell him before he leaves. Something tightens in your chest when, later that night, he catches your eyes mid-song, his look of intense focus shifting for a moment as he grins, giving you a wink.
He takes to sitting next to you in lectures, chewing the end of his pencil and taking occasional notes in a falling apart notebook that looks as though he uses it for every class. You catch lyrics in the margins and at the bottom of some pages, but he’s cagey about that in a strange way, just says you’ll have to come to a gig to find out what they’re about. So you do.
Gigs become a regular for you, and you start to become friends with the girls who frequent the shows, often hosting predrinks in your dorm room for Mary and her friends on a Friday night. You learn on one of those nights that at least two of the girls have hooked up with him, and there’s a strange, sinking sensation in your chest. You’re not sad, or at least, you tell yourself you shouldn’t be. You and Roger are just friends, it’s not like there’s anything going on there, sure, sometimes after a really good show he’ll give you a pash, but it’s- that’s just him.
It’s not like you’ve never thought about it, but you also know his reputation, and that it’ll do more harm than good to get involved with that. He’s the one mistake you don’t think you want to make.
It’s Summer, a few years later, when they trade in the van to get money to hire the recording studio. Roger had really loved that van, and he lay on your sofa for a solid hour grumbling about it, about how Freddie had some kind of nerve. You roll your eyes at him, call him a drama queen, which he takes offence to, but moves obligingly when you sit down, letting him rest his head in your lap.
When you raise the point that it might be worth it, he looks frankly aghast, griping about how he has to catch lifts everywhere now. He calms down somewhat when you start carding your fingers through his hair, though he still pouts.
“If it comes to it, I’ll buy you a car, you baby.” You snort, despite the fact that you’re currently barely making a living wage on some retail job, it’s not where you’d thought you’d be after university, but sometimes that’s just how it is. He looks up at you, and when you look down at him, he’s looking very intense. Perhaps he might say something poignant about your offer, you think, but instead he reaches up and pokes your nose.
“I can see up your nostrils.” He tells you, and you smack his hand away, scowling. You stand abruptly, ignoring his complaints, smoothing your pants out against your thighs.
“Come on,” you offer your hand, which he regards with both confusion and a bit of disdain, “you can’t mope around my apartment and complain about the band again. We’re going out.” That gets his interest.
You’ve been to bars with him before, and usually you go home alone while he gets the pick of the prettiest girls of the night, or he decides to wingman you, which hurts your heart a little, but you won’t decline. You were attractive in your own right, you won’t deny that, you didn’t technically need his help, but a selfish part of you likes the way the attention to you, even if it’s to help you get with other people.
Tonight is different, tonight he doesn’t leave your side, he slings an arm around you as the two of you stand by the bar watching the truly mediocre band they had on that night.
“You know why they aren’t recording an album?” You ask as the set ends.
“Because they didn’t sell their van?” Roger mused, vaguely bitter, but not melancholy as he swirled the last of his drink in his free hand.
“No, it’s because they’re terrible.” Turning, you smile at your own blunt remark, and when he looks back at you, he’s grinning with a little disbelief. There’s very little space between the two of you, but that doesn’t make your heart race anymore, he’s your best friend, close contact was part of the bargain. But he kissed you, quickly, without warning, and when he pulls back, he turns away to order another drink like nothing had happened.
Your mind is spiralling, this isn’t post-gig excitement, this wasn’t something you were expecting. The selfish creature in your chest that you tried to deny for so long was crowing with victory. Taking a quick look around the bar, you don’t recognise anyone, though there are a few girls who look like they’d be his type- but his hand is moving to wrap around your waist as he turns back.
“What was that?” Voice quiet, you take his drink and have a sip of it yourself, the movement done from muscle memory alone. He raises his eyebrows at you, not regarding the drink, that was a usual occurrence, but at the question. He doesn’t seem to know how to answer, baffled at the question. Dropping you gaze, you take a sip of your own drink. “Why me? Why tonight?” You asked. Looking incredulous, he stepped back, looking you over.
“Have you seen yourself tonight, love? Couldn’t help myself.” You’ve heard him talk like this before, to other girls, not as blunt, but with you he can get away with it. The creature in your chest is elated, and you find yourself smiling, actually blushing. He moves closer once more, his arm around you, voice low as he spoke into your ear. “Trust me, you look very fit tonight, any man would be lucky to have a crack at you.” Heart in your throat, you hope you’re reading the situation right, at the same time ignoring the part of you that knew this was a bad idea.
“Even you?” You turned to face him, watching the way his smile shifted to a smirk, and he pulled you a little closer.
“You know I’m always feeling lucky.”
You kiss him, feeling your blood thumping in your veins, selfish and excited in equal measure, but with his hands on you, you can’t find the focus to care about the former.
Once the bad starts up again, Roger pulls away, making a face at them, asking if you wanted to get out of there. You do, and the two of you are elated on the quick walk back to his apartment, stopping only when he pressed you up against the wall of an closed shop to suck a hickey into the skin of your neck. You catch sight of it in his bedroom mirror, but he’s pulling off your jacket and you have better things to worry about.
It’s not weird, like you thought it would be, when you wake the next morning and he’s curled up, fast asleep with his back to you, but your chest aches just a little. He avoids eye contact over breakfast, though you chat like normal. The gripes about his van have died down, though he makes an offhand comment about things are changing that you read enough into to realise what had happened.
“You’ll always have me, Rog.” You reach across the table to take his hand, and he finally looks you in the eye, he looks so relieved, not that he’d ever say it. Afraid of losing another thing he cared about, he had panicked last night and tried to keep you close in the only way he knew how. He certainly loved you, but not in the way you wanted him to. Giving his hand a gentle squeeze, you give him a smile that doesn’t reach your eyes. It’s not his fault.
Bohemian Rhapsody airs in Autumn, you’re regional manager now, and you’re sitting in your office when you hear for the first time; you almost scream when the first harmony comes in after the radio host introduces the song.
“You’re a star, Rog!” You gush over the phone on your break, unable to wait until that night when the band was having a celebratory get-together to talk to him.
“Of course, I am, you think I sing that high to be paid in peanuts?” You can hear the smile in his words without even seeing him, and being able to hear his voice warms your heart.
“That was you?” You laugh, the ‘Galileo's playing back in your head, and you try to picture him singing it, which only made you laugh harder.
“Oi,” he bristled, indignant at your laughter, “I’m the only one with the range to execute Freddie’s vision.” You could see him in your mind now, proud and stubborn, standing tall to defend the decision.
“I’m proud of you.” Suddenly sincere, you find your smile turning to something more genuine as you think back on far he’s come.
“Thank you.” His own voice has become less animated, more sincere, though you can still hear him smiling.
“Love you, Rog.” You tell him, just as you always did when you parted ways.
“I’ll see you tonight.”
He’s grinning, draped with casual confidence in an armchair in Freddie’s living room when you arrive, and you feel like you’ve been taken back five years, the casual enthusiasm he’s exerting. Smile brightening, he stands when he sees you, striding across the room to enfold you in a hug.
“Good to see you!” He practically beams at you, holding your shoulders as he looks over you, as if assessing you, seeing if anything has changed.
“Of course, you’ve been holed up for weeks, I wouldn’t miss this for the world!” Though he’s in front of you, you’re words address the room as a whole, and when he steps back, Brian moves in to hug you as well, asking how you’ve been.
The boys are your friends, all of them, you’ve been around for most of their big band moments, and it eases something in your chest to be here for this one too. But then the ease sharply tightens as a woman you’ve never seen before sits on the arm of Roger’s chair, and he rests a hand on her thigh, smiling up at her.
Mary follows your gaze, and her smile is sad as she pulls you down to sit beside her, asking you about your thoughts on the single. You answer, though your heart’s not in it, and the selfish creature in your chest rears it’s ugly head after such a long slumber.
The monster has shifted, changed and grown, it hadn’t cared about him running around with any pretty girl he could find for the past few years, but this was different. Roger had made it clear that he was far from sacred, but this was the band, this was Freddie’s home, this was the place of some of your happiest memories; this was yours.
You stay well into the early hours of the following morning, despite the interloper, but Roger still stopped you at the door.
“I’m really glad you could make it, I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages.” He’s smiling at you, but you don’t smile back. It’s been a long night of being kind and pretending that you’re heart didn’t hurt.
“Well, you’ve very busy.” You shrug, punctuating it with a yawn. His expression turns confused, and you open the door.
“Y/N.” He tried to get your attention, but you left, throwing a goodbye over your shoulder to him. “Love you.” He calls through the door, but you stay quiet, refuse to say it back, just keep walking. You’re too tired to be upset, but maybe you’ll get there tomorrow.
Things change, and you’ve grown to accept that, but sometimes old aches don’t heal like they should. Or at all.
“I’m getting married.” He calls you at the end of Winter.
“Oh.”
“Oh?”
Your relationship’s been on the mend in the years since the Bohemian Rhapsody launch night. You two smile and laugh like you had when you were younger, and you’ve learned to listen to his exploits and his gripes about women, offering your own about your partners, though they’re few and far between. He’s still your best friend, and you learn to act like it.
“Congratulations.” Your voice is flat. It had been a shock, you’d heard about his latest on-again off-again girlfriend, and had even offered advice in certain situations, actual advice, no malice at all.
“Thanks.” He doesn’t seem to know where to go from here, and silence stretches out between the two of you.
“I should go.” You finally murmur.
“What? Why?” He spluttered, and you sighed deeply.
“Was there something else you wanted to talk about?” You asked, closing your eyes and leaning your forehead against the wall.
“I- no, but I want you to be there.” He paused. “And I wanted to be the one to tell you.” Clenching your jaw, you make a snap decision.
“I can’t-”
“Why not?” He actually sounded angry, which was perhaps warranted, though your next words shut him up.
“Because it hurts, Roger.” After a beat, your voice is quiet. “Because I love you.” Taking a breath, you let yourself relax. “I want you to be happy, but I can’t watch you marry someone else.” There’s silence for a very long moment, but you hang up before he can respond. You take the phone off the hook. You need to be alone, just for now.
“After everything, you still-?” It’s the first day of Spring, and he’s on your doorstep, seemingly unable to say the word love. You’re wearing your pyjamas and he looks like he’s just walked out of a Rolling Stone cover shoot, though he just sort of looks like that now, you supposed.
“Don’t worry about it.” You try not to betray how much his visit shocked you, or the way his very presence after your recent conversation hurt you.
“You’re my best friend! Of course I’m gonna worry about it!” He threw his hands up in the air, exasperated. Sighing deeply, he stepped forward. “I thought I fucked everything up when we hooked up, I’m sorry, I panicked.” He was looking at his fidgeting hands, rather than your surprised expression. “And then... I thought I fucked it up again when I chose the band over you.”
“You never-” You tried to protest, but he smiled self-deprecatingly.
“No, I did. I loved you, and I thought that would get in the way of the band.” Clenching his jaw, he looked up and you could see the regret in his eyes. “It was easier to fuck around that tell you I love you.” Your breath stopped in your throat as he finally walked closer. “And I thought after everything, that you deserved better; you know what I’m like, why would you-?” But you cut him off with a kiss.
“You’ll always have me.” You murmured, finally letting yourself smile. Nothing about it felt selfish, in fact, it felt as though the sun was finally shining on you, warming you from the inside out.
“I know,” he agreed quietly, wrapping you up in a hug.

Into the Deep End
Newt didn’t know what possessed him to come.
Maybe it was to see for himself that the most dangerous Dark wizard is properly locked up behind a cage. To assure that the man who had done horrible, despicable things had been properly apprehended; that there was no chance for Gellert Grindelwald to hurt another person.
But it wasn’t because of that.
Righteous, good intentions aside, Newt is terribly curious of this man.
A wizard of great power and influence, of genius and charm that attracts people enough to become his fanatics. A wizard of whose past is intertwined with Albus Dumbledore.
Newt stands there, in the bowels of MACUSA’s holding cells, practicing long acquired skills of stealth to sneak around unnoticed by the guards assigned just for a single—but incredibly dangerous—wizard.
He’d left his creatures with Queenie, not quite trusting but the alternative of leaving his creatures unguarded for any span of time was unbearable. The memory of his case being impounded was still entirely too fresh and a wave of fear at the mere thought made him a bit more paranoid.
Easily getting past the guards, Newt is surprised to find that nothing else is set up as defense. A superficial scan of the wards told him why. They had focused too much on keeping someone in rather than putting just as much effort in keeping unwanted people out. As it stands, Newt wouldn’t have any problems going in as long as he was careful.
It seems finding the cell he wanted wouldn’t be an issue. All the cells are unoccupied except for one.
He stops right in front of it, a frown knotting at his forehead still quite unsure why he had risked sneaking into one of the most guarded part of MACUSA. Pardoned he may be for smuggling his creatures and risking the Statute, he is still on thin ice.
“I don’t suppose staring into nothing would solve your problems, Mister Scamander.”
The voice is raspy and hoarse but lacking none of its confident lilt. Even with a heavily protected door between them, Grindelwald is every bit the wizard who had taunted and tortured him in the subway. Absently, Newt noted that a silencing charm was not one of the spells cast on the cells.
With a side glance to where he had come from, Newt cast a privacy charm around them, one that wouldn’t interfere with the wards.
The silence from the other side of the door was quite unnerving but even then, Newt doesn’t say anything. He stood there, arms crossed and hunched over, staring at the door separating him and Grindelwald.
Newt wonders why he could not muster fear or anger at the man who had taken his creatures away from him no matter how short of a time it had been. Wonders why there’s nothing but curiosity for a man who caused so much unneeded violence.
I’m not one of Grindelwald’s fanatics, he had said to the man. And he wasn’t. But a part of him always had been curious what made them fanatics. There has to be a reason why a single wizard could amass such a following.
Then, quite sudden and out of the blue, laughter full of mirth rang from the other side. It’s surprising, and the malevolent undercurrent of it made Newt shudder unconsciously.
“I seem to have underestimated you, Mister Scamander. But, ah, I see it now; what makes Albus Dumbledore so fond of you. Is there anything you wouldn’t do for your creatures?” Here, Newt scowls but still doesn’t talk. “I’ve seen what you do for them, walked through their homes and admired how seamlessly they exist. Danger doesn’t seem to be a word you adhere to.”
There’s a bitter aftertaste in his mouth as he swallowed when reminded by the fact the man had trampled over his case—his home. Nothing had been out of place when he had checked, not even the obscurus Grindelwald had taken out.
“I think it’s time for you to go now.” Newt could hear the smile from the man’s tone of voice. “We will meet again.”
It’s six months before Gellert Grindelwald made his presence known again.
Newt isn’t the least bit surprised the man had managed to escape. What does surprise him is when he finds a herd of thestrals loitering about in the street near his home in London. There’s a young chimaera too, affectionate enough that it lets Newt near without fuss.
“Hello, little one.” Newt coos as it climbs up to his shoulder. It leans on his fingers when he reached up to pet it. Pickett curiously peeks out from the lapel of his coat and climbs up to where the chimaera had settled. They had a staring contest before Pickett huffed and settled back down to his favorite place.
Newt chuckles affectionately, “Pickett seems to like you well enough. Now who might you be?” A small scrap of parchment is stuck on its back and Newt quickly reads it.
His name is Antonio. Keep him with you. You may do as you please with the thestrals.
The handwriting is unfamiliar. He couldn’t think of anyone who would send him anything of the sort and it’s more than suspicious. Perhaps he should send word to Theseus at the least. But contact with his brother isn’t something he wanted to do unless it was absolutely needed.
“You weren’t sent by someone bad, were you?” Newt asked of the thestrals and Antonio.
The small chimaera merely made a high pitched guttural sound at the back of its throat in response.
Newt smiles before clicking his tongue, calling the attention of the thestrals nosing curiously at the potted plants of the neighboring houses. He frowns when he noticed how thin they looked—thinner than how a thestral should be.
“Oh you poor dears,” Newt sighed, nuzzling one of the creatures. “We should get you somewhere more suitable for your needs.”
He leads them to his home where he had spent months in when the Ministry sanctioned his travelling ban. It’s roomier than his case but Newt missed being able to travel, being able to set his creatures free to where they belong instead of cooped up in a beautiful cage.
They may be replications of their home but it was a cage nonetheless.
A cold nose nudged his cheek and Newt smiled wryly. He can’t keep a herd of thestrals in his home. Perhaps he could send them to Hogwarts once they’re in perfect health.
It’s another month before the monotony of scouring through London and getting rid of his tails was broken when Antonio—who had taken residence on his person just as much as Pickett had—suddenly jumped down from his pocket and ran through the streets.
Newt, already used to such behavior from his other creatures, quickly scampered off to follow the chimaera.
He manage to catch up to the creature near an alley and had only managed to cradle him close to his chest, ready to scold him running off, when a hand grabbed his shoulder and the familiar feeling of apparation swallowed him.
They appear on a rooftop of some building, the wind whipping away at his overcoat.
“I did say we will meet again, Mister Scamander.”
Newt barely managed to cover a flinch of surprise but he does back away from the voice. Standing before him, head tilted to the side, is Gellert Grindelwald. There’s no trace of the months he spent in MACUSA’s custody.
It hits him that this is the first time he sees the Dark Lord as himself. Nothing in the Dark wizard’s face or body but the mask of Gellert Grindelwald. There’s nothing to blindside Newt this time, nothing to defend himself with, no barriers of any kind. Except, perhaps, Newt’s own ignorance.
The other wizard seems to be waiting for a response so Newt composes himself, “You did say that.”
In his hands, Antonio wriggles about and peeks up at Newt and then to Grindelwald. To his bemusement, Grindelwald reaches out a hand. “May I?”
Newt stares, unsure for a moment, before he realizes what the Dark Lord wanted. Instinctively, Newt lets Antonio out of his grasp, watching as the little chimaera crawled over to Grindelwald’s hand willingly. It was strange, seeing the intimidating wizard holding the creature carefully.
“I’m glad to see you’ve kept Antonio.” Grindelwald lifted the creature to Newt’s shoulder and let it go. “I’m afraid I can’t keep such a needy creature with me.”
Indignation churned in his gut but Newt tempered it down, focusing instead on the realization that Grindelwald had been the one who sent Antonio and the thestrals. He had to be cautious with what he says to the wizard. He says instead, “Antonio had been a good companion.”
Grindelwald hums, “I can see that.”
“What was it you needed with me?” Newt finally asked, absently petting Pickett and then Antonio.
“Nothing.”
Newt furrows his brows and looked closer at the other wizard. “Yet.”
A smirk tugged at Grindelwald’s lips. “Nothing yet, yes. When the time comes, you will give it to me.”
Newt had no idea what it is. But the conviction in the Dark Lord’s voice kept him from asking. It was curious how despite being cautious, there was no immediate urge to flee. Even lesser was the urge to interfere with whatever the wizard is planning.
“Until we meet again, Newton.”
There was a possibility that Newt refused the Ministry’s deals because he couldn’t seem to muster up the will to fight against the Dark Lord.
He had seen how the man fought, had been in close enough proximity to say that he could not repeat what he had done in that subway months ago. Not for the lack of trying but for the certainty that Grindelwald wouldn’t commit the same mistake twice.
“There would come a time that everyone—everyone—has got to pick a side. Even you.” Theseus had said.
I don’t do sides. He doesn’t. Especially now.
Newt knew that travelling to Paris isn’t such a good idea.
But with Credence alive, Newt couldn’t appease his conscience quite well. And even then, he had to clear things up with Tina.
Going to Paris isn’t such a good idea but Newt will do it anyway. And, glancing at Jacob who was recounting his and Queenie’s romance in the last year, Newt wouldn’t deny the speck of happiness at the familiarity of the situation. He missed his friends and he missed venturing out of the country. This time, hopefully, there wouldn’t be adrenaline of a chase and troubles of Dark Lords.
But considering who and what Credence is, Newt wouldn’t count on it.
The moment Antonio started fussing, Newt knew what was coming.
“Hey Newt-”
“I-I’m sorry Jacob,” Newt turns around to face Jacob, causing the other man to stop in his tracks. “But could you please, uh, hold this for moment-” He hands him the feather that they are using to track Tina, now encased in a clear box.
Jacob takes it with a puzzled expression. “Okay…”
“Yes thank you,” Newt tries to smile. “I’ll be back in a jiffy. Stay here. Or, uh, actually, you can find a café to stay at. I’ll find you.”
Then he walks over to an alley before letting Antonio scamper up his shoulder. “Where to now?”
With the squeaked directions from the little chimaera, Newt finds himself outside a house. He steps up to knock on the door and was greeted by a striking woman.
They look at each other, the woman sizing him up before inclining her head with an unreadable though pleasant expression. “Come in, Mister Scamander.”
Newt does so, brushing off the surprise at her knowing his name. “Thank you.” He muttered.
There’s a surprised gasp from inside and Newt turns to its direction.
“Newt?” Then he was engulfed in a hug that had him shifting in discomfort even as he recognized Queenie’s golden curls and soft voice. “Oh I’m so glad you’re here. It’s been so awful. Is Jacob with you? I’m so sorry I didn’t know what else to do.”
He pats her back awkwardly, spying the black haired French woman smirking at them.
“What – what are you doing here Queenie?” Newt asked as Queenie finally let him go, a niggle of worry finally settling in his stomach.
Her distressed frown brightened up into a smile as she gestures at the woman, “I was lost and she helped me. She’s been so kind to me but I uh…” Her face fell and dismay colored her voice. “You don’t happen to know where Tina is, do you?”
Newt’s shake of head wasn’t really needed but he still did so.
You need to leave.
“Oh, why do I-”
“Newton,” Newt turned just as Queenie drew her wand.
“You stay right there,” Queenie bit out, unconsciously pulling Newt behind her. “I know what you are.”
“Queenie.” Grindelwald strode nearer, arms raised to show that he is harmless. It doesn’t quite work but the man doesn’t put it down. “We’re not here to hurt you.” The man titled his head. “Nor will we harm Newton.”
Newt closed his eyes, resigned that he’s too late to have Queenie escape.
Please put your wand down, Newt spoke in his mind clearly. He may not know what the Dark Lord has planned but Newt didn’t want to aggravate the man though he seems to be more amused than anything else. Pleased, even.
Queenie’s stance wavered and she turned to him, confusion and betrayal clear on her face.
“It’s not what it looks like.” Newt whispered. This seems to amuse Grindelwald even further so Newt turns his attention to him. “Please let her go.”
“We will,” Grindelwald appeased but satisfaction lurked behind his mismatched eyes. “We only wish protect the innocent. To let her know that we are here to help.” His attention drifts to Queenie who is trembling. “It is not your fault that your sister is an auror. I wish she were working with me now to a world where every witch and wizard is able to live however they want. To love freely.”
Before Newt’s eyes, he sees Queenie’s resolve waver. She looks at him, a desperate attempt to keep her head straight. But even Newt isn’t sure what to believe so he grips her hand and moved his gaze away from her.
I’m sorry was all he could think.
“Go now,” Grindelwald said. “Leave this place.”
Obediently, they did.
Queenie tags along as Newt returns to Jacob.
They have a tearful reunion, both apologizing for their actions (and thoughts on Jacob’s part). But Grindelwald’s influence had taken root. Newt can see the determination in Queenie’s eyes.
He smiles, though, because Queenie and Jacob clearly belonged together.
A man passed by and the feather they had been following earlier that day ruffled excitedly and pointed at the man. Newt let it free, watching as the feather zoomed past them and back onto the man’s hat.
“Come on.” Newt muttered as he followed the man.
His reunion with Tina wasn’t quite as touching as Jacob and Queenie’s.
They manage to get Mr. Kama out of the sewers with them and the Zouwu safely inside his case. When they settled in the safe place professor Dumbledore had given him the address to, Queenie had finally gotten irritated enough at the tension between them.
“Tina!” Queenie huffed, glaring at her stoic sister. “Newt here was going to say something important.”
Newt froze from his spot halfway down his case. He slowly turns his gaze up at Queenie’s expectant look to Tina’s equally as expectant look.
“You really are sisters.” He blurted out, nerves having caught up with him. Somewhere in the room, Jacob purses his lips and palms his face. Queenie glared at Newt. “I- I’m sorry. I-” Queenie tapped her foot in impatience. “I wasn’t uh, there had been a misunderstanding, Tina. It’s my brother- Theseus and Leta are the ones who are going to get married.”
Queenie’s happy clap was the only noise heard in the silence filled room. Newt took the opportunity to go down his case to take care of the Zouwu.
Newt sees Credence again in the Lestrange Mausoleum.
It’s only him and Tina this time, having left Queenie and Jacob to guard Mr. Kama. Though they seem to have been unsuccessful.
There’s tension in the air, one born from familial disagreements. Newt felt distinctly out of place as Leta told her story, feeling as if he was encroaching on something he shouldn’t know. It doesn’t shed light to who Credence is and the look of disappointment in the boy caused sympathy to twist his heart.
His attention is broken by Antonio wiggling out of his pocket.
“Antonio?”
His startled whisper called everyone’s attention. Newt followed Antonio to where a passage opened at his touch. The chimaera croaked and scampered up his shoulder and settled there, anticipation making him absolutely still.
Beyond the revealed passageway was a large gathering of wizards and witches.
At once, Newt realized Grindelwald’s plan.
The fire of protego diabolica burned brightly as it danced to the whims of the Dark Lord.
Aurors who were unable to protect themselves got burned, dying with piercing screams that cut off as the curse ate them away.
Newt watched with a horrified fascination, following the motions of his brother as they defended against the flames. Queenie and Jacob were ways away and he could see her crying, screaming at Jacob in despair.
At the other side, Credence makes his way to the flames, barely held back by the maledictus.
Newt is rooted in his spot, watching as Credence crossed over, Grindelwald greeting him with wide arms. His eyes are drawn to Queenie, anguish and desperation clear on her face as she crossed over the blue flames. Their eyes meet and Newt lets out a huff, half hysteric and half resignation.
“Newton,” Everyone seemed to pause at the call. Newt heard Theseus’s breath hitch and felt the way his brother’s hand gripped his arm tighter. “It’s time, I should think.”
Newt clutches his eyes shut, taking in deep breaths as he gripped his case tighter.
“What does he-” Newt pulls away from Theseus’s hold. “Newt don’t!”
He avoids look at anyone, feeling Tina, Leta, and Theseus’s eyes burning at him. Grindelwald’s expectant, triumphant gaze seemed to be the only thing that doesn’t burn. Antonio is purring as his shoulder and Newt reaches up to pet him.
With surprisingly steady gait, Newt walks down the steps.
Time seemed to slow and the distance between him and the platform seemed to be longer than it looks.
“Newt!”
Newt pauses and turns to his brother only to have the flames come between them. Between Newt and everyone.
Leta pulls Theseus back and Newt catches her eyes. For the first time in years, Newt smiles at her. “Please take care of him.”
Then he walked away, towards Grindelwald’s expectant gaze. This time it seemed faster than it should. The flames are warm, comforting even as his heart broke at the screams of his name.
He doesn’t stop walking until he stands close to Grindelwald. So close that there was barely space between them. Antonio jumps from his perch on Newt’s shoulder over to Grindelwald’s. The Dark Lord reaches up and cradles Newt’s face in his palm.
Smugness and triumph swirled behind mismatched eyes.
And then they were gone.

Squeal anon.. seen as it’s been 100 years since you’ve been on here.. can I request a got7 request where they see their s/o after a long time (I’m not saying 100 years lol but you get me) 💕
Of course~
Jaebum: It would take him a few seconds to realize it was actually you walking into the room. From not seeing you for so long jaebum would most likely have a extra serious look on his face 24/7. But once his brain was able to process what’s actually happening he would smile so big but try to conceal it at the same time afraid to overreact to much especially it there’s other people around. But if its just you two he’d pull you close and want to hold onto you for the rest of the night just taking in your scent afraid he’d might lose the smell of it if you leave him for too long again.
“For a second I didn’t think you were actually here...Let’s not be away from each other for that long again”
Tumblr media
Mark: He would be the one to come see you first if you two had been apart due to conflicting schedules. Even though Mark is quiet about his feelings I believe he would constantly text you or even video chat with you to make it feel as though you two weren’t apart. However, the distance would take a toll on him and he’d take the next flight out too see you. Maybe even surprising you at work.
“I know we were supposed to meet up next week but I really couldn’t stand another day not seeing you. You’re not mad are you?”
Tumblr media
Jackson: Let’s face it, the most he’d go without seeing you is maybe two weeks tops, anything other than that you’re either going with him or he’s flying back and forth between countries just to see you.Once he sees your face waiting at the arrival gate he’d drop everything to run and scoop you up in his arms while peppering your face with relieved kisses.
“Oh my god you have no idea how much I missed you honey. Why did you even let me go on this trip?”
“Jackson.... it’s literally been 5 days”
“.....And?”
Tumblr media
Jinyoung: He would be so happy to see you that his biggest smile would turn even bigger by the sight of you walking into his home after you’ve been out of the country for a few weeks. He’d already have dinner made and you’re favorite music playing to set the mood. It would definitely be a romantic night with him as soon as you walk through those doors.
“Welcome home honey. You have no idea how much I’ve missed you. I want to hear about your trip but first...let me show you how much I’ve missed you.”
Tumblr media
Youngjae: He’d be the most moody out of all his members when it comes to not being able to see his loved one in such a long time. The poor man would be checking his phone every hour even during work hours to see how you’re doing. Once the day finally arrives for him to see you he’d waste no time in leaving his members at the airport so he could rush home and see your face. His smile would be so big you would think he’d won the lottery. And that first night back home would definitely consist of cuddling and gaming.
Tumblr media
Yugyeom: Similar to Jaebum, Yugyeom would definitely try to play it cool the moment he sees you walking through the door but once he has you wrapped in his arms the tears would start to flow due to him being so happy he could finally see you. The max he could go without seeing his significant other is maybe two months if it’s work related but anything other than that he’s not going too far from you. Expect to have this wonderful man by your side for the rest of the night!
Tumblr media
BamBam: He’d surprise you by coming home early from work. Having it been nearly a month since he’s seen you I think he’d want to bring you home some gifts or even something to add to the house from his travels. He’d have all the gifts spread out on the dining table for you to see as he waits beside the table for the moment you walk in. And once you do, he’d jump all over the apartment if he could due to his excitement; of course because he’s happy to see you (Definitely kissing and hugging you as much as possible) but also anxious for you to see the things he brought for you. He’s really thoughtful with his gifts so anything he brought you’d knew it was because he was thinking about you the whole trip.
“Welcome home baby!!! I missed you so much! But look...I brought presents! Hurry and see...I hope you like them.”

Gladdest (Soulmate AU)
For this, I’ll be using the soulmate AU where what happens to your soulmate’s body happens to you. I’m not sure who originally came up with this. Basically, how it works, is like, if your soulmate gets punched in the face, you feel like you’ve been punched in the face. If your soulmate dies, you don’t die, but you feel it. Same with broken bones, you’ll feel it, but your arm won’t actually be broken. But not just pain, other stuff. Like if your soulmate cries, you’ll feel it, but you don’t cry unless they’re super heartbroken, or if they get a really good hug you feel it, too. In my version of this AU, the pain and other feeling doesn’t start until you turn sixteen. Imagine how fucked up it would be if that wasn’t the case and you had a partner older than you? Like, while 13-year old Bill gets in a fight, his soulmate, who is only 3, feels the same punches and kicks. It’d be so fucked up.
warnings: nsfw (but no actual sex, just a lot of talking about it [and masturbation] and some sexually tense scenes), the reader nearly has a panic attack (again, i know, sorry. what can I say? I project), & reader has a thing for.... erotic asphyxiation. let me know if i missed anything.
I am very open to writing a part two with smut... I just chickened out with this because I felt it wouldn’t be good writing.
You’d been sixteen for a little while now, and there hadn’t been much contact from your soulmate aside from the occasional feel of a phone falling on your face and smacking it.
It’s the beginning of a new school year at Xavier’s, and you’re pretty thrilled. Your roommate this year is your best friend, Ellie. Okay, not just your best friend, she’s your crush, too. Do I really have to say, at this point?
“Hey,” she greets you, sounding rather sullen as she enters your dorm, where you sit on the edge of your bed.
“What’s up?” you ask.
“I turned sixteen over the summer and I haven’t felt anything to give me a hint. All my soulmate does is cry.”
“All my soulmate does is drop their phone on their face,” you offer a complaint in return, and the two of you lock eyes for a moment, one of realization.
“No,” Ellie says. “No.” She’s bright red, immediately thinking of just how many hot summer nights she was kept up, orgasm after orgasm after orgasm, gasping for breath at the way her soulmate’s fingers curled just right, just fucking right. There’s no way you, her crush and her best friend, were that good.
“No, can’t be,” you agree.
“Could be,” she reminds you.
“It’d make sense,” you admit.
“I hate everyone else but you.”
“We could try to find out,” you suggest.
She pinches herself.
“Ow! Not like that!” You whine, clutching at your arm. “Oh, well, I guess it’s too late th-” Ellie cuts you off with her eyes alone.
“Where does all that energy come from, Y/N?! What are you, the Energizer bunny?! At least three times a night, every night! What the hell?!”
You blush deeply, scratching the back of your neck. You hadn’t exactly expected you’d meet your soulmate anytime soon, or that they’d be bold enough to comment on your habits.
“I dunno, I thought it was normal for kids our age…” you mumble.
“Oh, yeah, well some people like sleeping and not screaming into the pillow because their soulmate has a little too much fun doing the five finger shuffle!”
“Please, louder. I think a few people in Antarctica didn’t hear you,” you retort, looking up at her from where you were sitting with a challenging expression.
“We’ve been friends for all this time and I never knew what a horny bastard you are,” she remarks.
“Well, I’m not the one who was ‘screaming’ in pleasure,” you mutter.
“I heard that!” she says, her expression still adorably indignant.
“If you hated it so much, you should’ve just got those over the counter meds, Antifel or whatever.”
“I- I…” She sighs. “Yeah, I didn’t hate it that much,” she admits, and you smile a bit. “But I wasn’t a fan of the choking,” she adds, gesturing at your scarf, your favorite one that she never would’ve guessed hides the bruises from where you’ve choked yourself with a belt, at least not before. “I’m more of a choker than a ‘chokee’, but, I guess that’d be obvious, wouldn’t it? Considering we’re soulmates and all.”
You nod, your eyes now on your lap, the floor, her tee shirt, the lamp in the corner, anything that isn’t her eyes, and she smirks.
“Oh, so now you’re shy?”
“A little,” you quietly reply, and she sits next to you on your bed.
“Let’s cool down,” she offers. “We’ve just seen each other after months of purely texting and the occasional phone call.”
“Thanks,” you respond, finding it easier to breathe.
“Why were you crying so much?” Ellie asks, addressing her original observation.
“Just depressed and lonely and stuff. I don’t have friends in my hometown, not like you.”
“You’ll always have me,” she says. “I mean it.”
“I’d hope so, soulmate,” you laugh off the seriousness of the conversation, and she sighs, looking to your eyes with her own soulful ones.
“I’m glad it’s you,” she tells you.  “I don’t think I’d be able to stand anyone else.”
“Yeah, right!” you huff out a laugh, confused at her sudden emotional openness. Sure, she was more honest about her feelings with you than anyone else, but that didn’t mean that she was a completely open book. Who was?
“You’re not disappointed, are you?” Ellie wonders because of your remark.
“God, no! I- I actually have a really big crush on you,” you admit.
“Yeah?” she asks, the cutest little grin on her face, you know the one. “I have a crush on you, too.”
You blush again.
“Sorry… I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable, I’m not very good at flirting or anything like that. I don’t really care about much of anyone at all, and you’re definitely the only person I’ve really cared about in a romantic way, so…”
“No, it’s not that! I- You- You being really good at flirting is what’s got me like this. And the fact that I’m a dork who’s really bad at flirting contributes,” you explain.
“I am? Good at flirting, I mean.”
“Well, with me, at least,” you tell her.
“Um… Sorry if it’s lame to ask, but… Can I kiss you?”
“Of course! And it’s not lame to ask at all, El, I appreciate it actua- Mmf!”
You could live forever in the feeling of her lips on yours, her hands oh-so carefully holding your cheeks.
“Sorry,” she shyly says, as she slowly pulls away from you, looking in your eyes. “I’ve just been wanting to do that for a really, really long time. Pretty much since we met, actually.”
“R-really?” you ask, a bit breathless and definitely still flustered.
“Yeah, you’re perfect. In, like, every way. It’s the worst and the best.”
“I’m perfect?! But you’re- You’re you!” you argue, and she shakes her head, rolling her eyes. “I’m so lucky.”
“No, I’m the lucky one,” she disagrees.
“We can both be lucky,” you tell her, and she sighs.
“I suppose that’s a good compromise,” she decides. “So, what should we do before dinner? We’ve got a couple hours to kill, but I don’t think either of us has much more to say that wouldn’t be repetitive or… Something.” She blushes again, cheeks bright pink.
You blush back, reminded that she knew all about you and the things you did to yourself behind doors. “R-right,” you reply. Hey, you may be a horny motherfucker, but that doesn’t make you any less of a bottom.
“Can I see?” she asks, touching at your scarf. You nod, and she unwraps the scarf. She carefully touches the spotted bruises with her fingers. “With the belt you’re wearing?”
You can’t even speak. You nod, and the ghost of a smile graces her face before she just barely presses her lips to the bruises closest to her, on the side of your neck. Your hand quickly grabs her bicep tightly, and she stops, looking to you with concern.
“I’m so sorry, I got a bit carried aw-”
“No, no, it’s good, I’m just… Sensitive there,” you admit, and one of the biggest smiles you’ve seen her wear is on her lips.
“Yeah?” she asks, taking her crossbody bag off of her shoulder and opening it. She takes out a bottle of Antifel pills. “How sensitive?”
“Oh God, um… I- Um…” Your nerves are really getting to you, and your breathing gets heavier as you stare at the bottle. This is really happening. It’s really happening. You’d always wanted to, especially with her, but now that it’s a reality, you feel on the brink.
Ellie can recognize that look in your eyes, and it’s a look she’d hoped she’d never be the cause of.
“Shit, Y/N. What’s going on? Talk to me.”
“I- Um, I just- I want to? But I- I just- I don’t know, it’s just getting really hard to breathe, and uh, not in a hot way,” you joke nervously.
“Hey, you can want to and not be ready to right this minute. We haven’t even been on a date yet, okay? I’m really sorry if I made you feel like you had to do anything you didn’t want to,” Ellie tells you, and she feels immensely guilty either way.
“No! I liked you kissing me, especially where you did, but, you’re right. We should probably adjust to the news and put a label on whatever this is before we do anything too serious.”
Ellie nods. “You always were the more logical one. I’ll put these in the medicine cabinet and we can just… Talk about stuff, like we always do.”
“But with more kissing and cuddling, I hope?” you request, and she nods, going to put the bottle away before returning to find you bundled up in her comforter. “It’s so cozy…” you practically sing, at least to her.
“This is a dream,” she sighs happily, slipping off her shoes and joining you in her bed. You spoon her side, and she hums in content, stroking your hair.
“You’re in a good mood,” you comment. Ellie is not a very cheerful person, at least not openly. So, to see her like this was surprising.
“Yeah, of course I am. It’s you. It’s really you. I’ve never been happier in my life,” she says, having really been hit with the fact that you’re her soulmate. All hers. “All mine…” she hums.
“You really know how to make a girl feel special… I mean it. I’m really not all that.”
“Please be my girlfriend,” she requests.
“Only if you’ll be mine,” you reply, and she scoffs.
“I think that’s how that works, babe.”
Your heart skips a beat and you stare at her in wonder.
“Sorry for not asking if pet names were okay…It’s just something I like, it’s really stupid.”
“No, I really like it, hence the dumb stare and the lack of breathing.”
She chuckles, holding you tighter. You smile with her, glad that she’s happy.
“I hope you don’t feel like you have to over-exaggerate how happy you are. It’s okay if you’re not ridiculously happy about finding your soulmate.”
“Oh, no, I’m as happy as I sound. I’m, uh, definitely a textbook case of Lesbian That’s A Grumpy Bitch Til She Gets A Girlfriend. But then again, I’ll probably just be a significantly less grumpy bitch to everyone but you, sorry.”
“I don’t mind, I like you being your bitchy self,” you reply, being rewarded with a kiss placed atop your head that sends tingles dancing down your body. “Mm… I like that.”
“Good,” Ellie responds. “I’m glad.”
“I’m gladder,” you tease.
“I’m gladdest...”

Summary: Ever since you’ve met John, you’ve happily thrown yourself down the rabbit hole of falling in love with him. And honestly, how could you resist? He was kind, sweet, and not to mention handsome. Now the only problem: getting to go on a date with  A/N: The requested part two of secretary, so make sure you read that before reading this! This was so much fun to write, tell me if you’d guys would like a part three! :) Warnings: none, except that this is unedited.  Tag list: @lizgarxo @josephhmazzello @tv-saved-the-teenage-girl Word count: 1,994
After your first encounter with the dark-haired man, you had practically thrown yourself into a pit labeled “in love with John Richard Deacon.” Could anyone blame you though? Every time John came in with his friends to record their album, he always made sure to stop by and talk to you. He would tell you about the album and the boys, and you would tell him about how work was going and your pride and joy, which was your cat named Fleur. On bad days, he would make you smile. On some days, he brought you flowers, on others he brought you tea with compliments written on the cup. You dreamed of the day John would ask you out, and each day you would be let down when he didn’t. But you wouldn’t give up.
You sat at the front desk, organizing papers for Mr. Foster that needed to be done before noon. You checked the clock again. 10:34. You’ve got this, Y/N, why are you even worrying about it? You know you’ll have these done in 10 minutes, You thought to yourself. You knew the real reason behind your stress, though you wouldn’t admit it. You hadn’t seen John’s sunshine face in three days, making you worry that you had said something to upset him. A tap tap tap against your desk made your thoughts end.
You looked up, seeing a familiar smiling face. You’re little sunshine was back.
“John!” You exclaimed happily, his fond smile becoming contagious against your lips. “I haven’t seen you in a while, I was starting to worry something had happened.” You admitted, resting your head against the palm of your hand. Y/N, your papers, a voice in the back of your head nagged. You decided to ignore it.
“No, no, I’m perfectly fine. Really. We’ve just been so busy with the album, haven’t had much time to chat.” He explained shyly, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.
“Well, I’m glad to see your pretty face again. I’ve missed our little talks.” You smiled fondly at John, seeing his face light up to a bright pink color. It was a fun little game you liked to play: see how many times you could get John to blush. It definitely wasn’t one-sided though, for there were many occasions where Mr. Deacon had made your face go hot.
“I’ve missed them too.” John returned your smile, leaning his elbows against your desk as he conversed with you. You could tell something was off though; he looked as though he was trying to tell you something, but just couldn’t find the words. Finally, he spoke again.
“Hey, Y/N, I was wondering, what time do you get off?”
Your heart skipped a beat. Was this finally your moment?
“I’m actually off tomorrow.” You replied, trying to remain ‘nonchalant sounding’ but you could tell that it hadn’t been too convincing.
“Well, what a coincidence! The boys and I have a day off tomorrow as well from pumping out songs for the album,” His signature dorky smile and pink cheeks returned, “I was wondering... well, I was wondering since we’re both conveniently off, if maybe you’d like to hang out tomorrow. Like, well, a date.”
It took all the strength in you not to jump up and down in excitement in that very moment. But, you controlled yourself. That didn’t stop the big smile stretching across your face though.
“I would love to go on a date with you tomorrow, Deaky.” You cooed. He grinned, a soft chuckle escaping through his lips.
“Great! Great.” He coughed, trying to calm his enthusiasm. “There’s this great tea shop I know that we can meet at,” He began, pulling a sticky note from your desk and writing down the address of the shop. He handed it to you, a bright smile across his features. You happily took the sticky note, folding it up and putting it in your jacket pocket.
“I’ll meet you there around 10-ish?” You asked, practically bubbling over with excitement. He nodded quickly, checking the time on his watch.
“I must be going, but I guess, I guess I’ll see you around?” He guessed giddily, slowly backing up as he walked backwards down the hall. You nodded, giving him a small wave.
“See you tomorrow, Deaks.”
He grinned, turning around completely as he ran down the hall. You watched him run, seeing him pump his fist up in delight. You saw his three friends come out from behind some furniture of the main lobby, congratulating him. You giggled behind your hand before looking back down at your paperwork once more.
☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆
Tap, tap, tap, tap
You blended your base in with your fingers, making sure everything was smooth and even across your face. Even in the most stressful of times, doing makeup had always calmed your nerves. However, you couldn’t stop the butterflies fluttering across your stomach or the way your face would heat up at the thought of John and the date that was in less than an hour.
You tapped a soft powder across your face, setting the base. You smudged a shimmery eyeshadow across the lids of your eyes, brushed mascara through your top and bottom lashes, and ran a clear mascara through your brows to hold them down. You applied a thick clear gloss across your lips, swiping some off your skin when you went a bit over the lines.
Now the only problem you were faced with: what to wear. Everything you tried on just seemed to either be too much or not enough. You finally decided on denim overalls that were embroidered with elegant pink flowers, a long-sleeved pink and red striped shirt, and red Chuck Taylor All Stars.
“How do I look?” You turned, looking at your cat Fleur, who laid sprawled out across the bed. She lifted her head up, letting out a soft meow, before laying back down. You took that as a sign of approval.
You only had fifteen minutes or so to get to the tea shop, so you decided to head out early.
You made your way through the bustling streets of Britain, before finally stopping in front of the quaint little shop. With five minutes to spare, might you add.
You looked around before spotting John’s familiar long locks. The man had his head in a book, tapping his finger along to the beat of some song as he read. You smiled a bit to yourself, shaking his head. You walked over, standing in front of his booth.
“Is this seat taken?” You asked playfully. John looked up at you, a fond look appearing across his face.
“It’s all yours.” He joked back, making you giggle. You sat down across from him, crossing your ankles out of habit. Your Gran had made sure that you always remembered to cross your ankles, not your legs. That was the proper way to do it, you could practically hear her remark.
“This place is lovely, the scenery is so quaint and cute.” You remarked, smiling as you looked around. The shop was decorated like some sort of Woodstock-esque design. There were posters of the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and many more artists. It had flowers of all sorts of varieties hanging from pots and vases across the store, giving it a lovely dash of color in all the right places. The room smelled of different variations of tea, all of which smelled exceptional.
“Well, I remembered you telling me so much about how much you loved tea and flowers, so I thought this might be a good place to go.” He said softly, looking back at you shyly through his lashes. You felt your face heat up. No one you had ever been with had been this considerate.
“You’re sweet, Johnny.” You smiled, resting your hand on your chin as you looked at the flower vase in front of you. “They really should switch the dandelions with those pink asters. The pink would compliment the goldenrods better.” You said, looking at the flowers in front of you. John raised his brows, but his smile never leaving.
“You really know your stuff, huh?”
You looked down at your feet for a moment, letting out a chuckle. “I guess you could say that. I’ve been wanting to be a florist since I was young because my Gran was a florist. She taught me all about different flowers and the way things would compliment each other and all sorts of things. My parents didn’t really think I should become a florist, they said there was no money in it and that people don’t buy flowers anymore.” You shrugged, looking back up at the dark-haired man who had been listening intently. “Besides, if I had been a florist, I would’ve never met you.”
He smiled at you warmly, glancing at the vase. “Well, I think you should go for it. There’s no shame in trying.” He appealed, looking at you with his soft brown eyes that made you melt. “You’d be perfect at it. You have a cat named Fleur, for God’s sake.” He teased, a playful grin tugging at his lips. You giggled, rolling your eyes playfully and gently tapping his foot with your own.
“Do not make fun of my cat, Deacon.” You scolded jokingly, a laugh escaping from the two of you. Once the laughter settled down, it was your turn to listen intently. “Well, since you know everything about me, why don’t you tell me things about you?” You asked, arching one of your brows.
He raised a brow in return, his chin resting on the palm of his hand. “Well, what would you like to know?”
You tapped your chin, thinking for a moment. “Favorite color? Favorite music artist? Hell, you haven’t even told me what instrument you play in your band.”
“Well, my favorite color is black. Favorite musical artist? Probably Hendrix or the Beatles. And I play bass.” He spoke softly, looking into your eyes as he spoke.
“That’s all?” You said as you looked at him, gently tapping his foot with your own. “C’mon, Deaks, there’s gotta be more to you than long hair and a pretty face.”
His cheeks turned pink, tapping your foot with his in return. “Pretty face, huh?” He blushed, your feet now in an all right war with each other. “I was born August 19th,  1951. I have a band with my best mates, Freddie, Brian, and Roger. I like electronics. I love soul and funk music. I love to tinker. Doesn’t really matter with what, but I’m always fiddling with something around the studio. I also know that I’m on a date with the girl of my dreams and talking to her makes me nervous and giddy at the same time.”
You felt your face heat up, you knew immediately you were giving the man heart-eyes. “You truly are wonderful, Deaky.” You smiled, reaching over and timidly placing your hand over his. He smiled, interlocking your fingers as he returned your fond gaze.
You turned to face the window, seeing the rain pour down against the window. You took a deep breath, turning back to John with a sad gaze. “I should be going soon, before the rain gets any worse.”
John frowned, glancing outside. “I’m not letting you walk home in the storm. It’s too awful.” He began, glancing down at your interlocked hands, before looking at you once more. His cheeks had turned an even deeper shade of pink. “My place isn’t far, if you’d like to stay there for the night. Only if you’d like though. Otherwise I could surely walk you home.” He added quickly, looking down at your hands.
You smiled a bit at him, reaching over with your free hand and grabbing his other. He looked up at you, and you gave him a loving look. “What are we waiting for, Deaks? Let’s go.”

Lizzzzzz I'm having court and Virgil feels can you pleaseeeeeeeee write a fic for them? Anything you think fits, maybe first meeting? THANK YOU ILU 💕💕
I apologize to both you and Clark if I mischaracterize Courtney, I’ve really only ever seen her in the ten seconds she was on YJ, so that’s where I set this fic.
“If you guys wanna wait right here, the makeup crew will be here in a second,” Gar grinned at them, “I gotta take this call.”
“A call that wouldn’t happen to be from a certain royalty, would it?” Bart asked, lounging across his chair and kicking his legs up in the air so that he kicked the script out of Traci’s hands and into Jaime’s face.
Virgil shook his head staring hopelessly at the sets of makeup set in front of them on a vanity prepped for ten. Yes, there were several different makeup kits for several different people, but one set alone had to be twice as big as what his sister used. Cassie was already swatching out blushes and eyeshadows like she’d seen the MUAs on youtube do (though Cassie was self-proclaimed to hate makeup, she and Virgil both found makeup tutorials strangely addicting), but Virgil decided it best to not touch the makeup at all, leave it to the experts and all that.
“Hello! You must be Mister Logan’s friends!” said a bright woman with a clipboard and headset.
Jaime took charge, the responsible oldest child on the team (seriously, they were lost without M’gann). “Yeah, I’m Jaime, and we’ve got Bart, Traci, Cassie, and Virgil.”
“I see you’ve all got your scripts, so before we can get you into costume for rehearsals, we have to do makeup!”
“Doesn’t makeup go on after you change?” Virgil asked as a fleet of assistants burst in the door behind Clipboard Lady, draping them all with black tarps and turning them to face the mirror.
“Oh no! With the full-body makeup we do here, we don’t want it to get on your costumes,” Clipboard Lady frittered. By the time Virgil looked up again, Clipboard Lady was gone, but it seemed that the Makeup Assistants had things well in hand. Cassie’s character was being dyed blue, apparently she was going to play one of Lieutenant Turk’s many cousins. Bart was getting a mohawk and bright yellow eyelids, and Traci was getting purple hair extensions for a futuristic look.
“Of course, the Asian character always has to have hair dye,” She sighed. Virgil chuckled.
His and Jaime’s characters were both humans, so they didn’t need too long in the chair. Neither did Garfield, really, after he finished his conversation of sweet nothings with Queen Perdita. The Assistants had them sit on a couch in the greenroom, with strict instructions to keep their hands off their faces, and hurried back to help paint up Cassie.
“Race for Lightspeed!” Virgil jumped up at the sound of a familiar voice. There was Courtney Whitmore, Stargirl herself, standing in the doorway.
“Hey, Court!” Gar stood up and shook her hand.
“Good to see you again, Gar. Are these your guest-star friends?” She asked.
“A couple of them. Jaime, Virgil,” Gar grinned, “Meet Stargirl.”
“Sup,” Jaime waved.
“H- hi,” Virgil said as Courtney shook his hand.
“I was hoping to get another interview for Stargirl. Would either of you be interested?” Courtney’s smile was bright and coy, and it could just be his mind playing tricks on him, but Virgil was certain that she was looking at him when she asked. Courtney Whitmore was looking at him.
“Well, Virgil certainly looks interested.” Jaime muttered over his Entertainment Magazine, Gar and Space Trek 3016 splayed across the front.
“Huh?” Virgil jumped up, and Courtney grabbed his hand.
“Great! Follow me!” She dragged him out of the green room and onto the half-built set, where cameras and crew were still wandering around. They sat in the two chairs that Virgil had seen on all of her celebrity interviews, but he wasn’t a celebrity, what was he doing, thinking he could be on the Stargirl Vlog?
“Okay, Virgil, right?” His name called him back to reality.
“This isn’t live, so we can edit it all later, but I’m going to ask you a few questions about you and about the show, so don’t be afraid to be silly about it. Just let me know if you’re uncomfortable with a question, or aren’t sure how to answer. Okay?”
“O-Okay,” Virgil sat up straight, brushing off his clothes in an effort to look more presentable. He went to wipe his forehead from the sweat of the spotlight, and quickly sat on his hands in an effort to not ruin his makeup.
“Okay!” Courtney signaled her cameraman, and held up her list of questions with a flourish.
“Okay, so what we’ve been told from the producers, and from Garfield Logan himself, you, Jaime, and your other friends go way back with Gar.”
“Well, yeah. Jaime and Cassie probably know him longest, we were all on a team together.”
“What kind of team?” Courtney leaned forward intently. Virgil cursed his loose lips.
“Ah- Soccer.” That would work. Cassie was a good blocker, Bart ran really fast, and Traci was good with distractions. That covered it, right?
“Co-ed little league, right after he lost his mom. His big sister and her friends coached it.”
“Interesting. So you were there for him after Marie Logan died?”
“Well, not really. Traci and I joined a little later, but it was fun. Nothing too big, but we won, a lot.”
“That’s awesome! I have to ask, what did you guys think of him? The green skin and all.”
“Believe me, it wasn’t the weirdest thing we saw,” Virgil chuckled, “But his meta-powers- “ and everyone else’s “-really brought us together. He was like our legit mascot. And when you learn how to work as a team the way we did…that’s a kind of bond that doesn’t break.”
“That’s so sweet!” Courtney gushed. She was so sincere, it was so cute. “Speaking of Gar’s meta-powers, there isn’t any chance any of you having any meta-powers of your own, is there?”
Virgil froze for a moment, then shrugged. “Well, Traci’s ridiculously unlucky, if you’d call that a superpower.”
Courtney laughed, and he laughed with her. It just felt so easy, so natural.
“Bart was our fastest runner, but he’s super late for everything, which I’ll never understand. Jaime talks to himself, and Cassie works out all the time, because she looks up to Wonder Woman.”
“And Verge, here is always super-staticy-” Gar snuck up behind him, tapping him on the shoulder.
“Okay, I’ll admit it.”Courtney laughed again. “Well, thank you for putting up with my questions, Virgil. It’s been great to hear from you. I look forward to seeing the episode you guys put out.” She held out his hand, and Virgil shook it, the energy he put into looking good during the interview had left him in a daze.
“Here’s my number. Will you call me and tell me what you thought of the Vlog when it airs?”
Courtney handed Virgil a piece of paper, and all he did was nod like a dumbarse and smile like Dopey. As she followed her cameraman out of the stage, Courtney smiled at him, almost hidden behind her hair as she glanced back over her shoulder.
“Dude,” Gar elbowed Virgil, “She gave you her number.”
“Yeah,” Virgil agreed, still watching in the way Courtney had left, “Yeah she did.”

Till Death Do We Part// Chapter 8, Selena’s Window
Yolanda sat there in her cell, marking yet another day on the wall. It's been over 24 years, over 8,760 days from when she was first convicted for her heinous crime. It felt like time would constantly move slow, the clock in her room would tick slowly, second by second passing. The ticks would be loud at some points, and at others, they would die down. Those sounds of the clock would ring through her ears and almost drive her mad. It was too constant, it was as if it were something she couldn’t get away from. Time itself was a constant reminder for her, it made her remember her mistakes. It made her remember when she killed Selena.
Currently, at her place on the floor, she was staring at the bunk bed in front of her that was always dormant. They refused to partner her up with anyone, she didn’t deserve it. She didn’t deserve the company, she was meant to be alone. It pissed her off, she hated it but she knew this was the placed she earned in this world.
A curse left her breath as she was called out of her cell for lunch. She had forgotten what time it was. She looked outside her cell and there was a guard, standing ready with a key to unlock her from her prison so that she could be taken to me the mess hall.
“Come on Saldivar, its lunch time.” the guard beckoned as she grabbed her wrist roughly and led her to the cafeteria.
This was the only time that she was able to see other people, but she wasn’t allowed to communicate with them. She would watch them from a distance, as they would look in her direction and spit in it. And speaking of spit, she has been spit on multiple times by other inmates who even knew she had went to far. It didn’t matter what they did, or how long they were in for, they all hated her, despised her, all except a couple. The few who were supported were marked as “crazy”, they would sit as close to her as they possibly could; winking and smiling at her every time they passed her cell, or even just to get food.
They thought it was brave to the star out, they were always jealous of her fame and fortune.
“What does she have that I don’t have? A pretty face? I had one hell of a face before I was stuck in here, I could’ve been a star.” “She didn’t deserve to be so successful. I’ve seen girls prettier than her and she still got to the top of the charts.” “She ain’t make it look that hard, I bet anyone of us could’ve done this. We could’ve done this.” “Hell yeah we could’ve. Waste of time to think that she was going to actually see the end of her career. Thank goodness we had Yolanda here to stop her.” These were some of the things that had been said about her. They wanted to show their support. In their eyes, she was the most successful person there, she actually achieved something that most couldn’t or even feared to do. And with that they cheered her on, and worshiped her like a god.
It wasn’t always the same set of women, after all she’s been here for 24 years and not everyone was still there. Her first group was out on parole after her 9th year there. Second group was gone about a year or two ago. This third group seemed like they were here to stay, well at least one of them was. She was one of the girls from the last group, and older woman, placed back here because she decided to murder her boyfriend. The first time, she was in here for bank robbery. This woman just didn’t know when to quit, but Yolanda wasn’t surprised. She actually grew quite fond of her. And when her security walked away she would move to their table, admiring her admirers and listening to them talk about her success. She would laugh with them, and enjoy listening to their stories of how they ended up here and what they plan to do when they get out, no matter how violent their decisions were. But when her guard came back she rushed back to her lonesome table, wondering how long it would take before she could talk to her “friends” once again. It was the only thing she enjoyed, and it was the only thing to make her feel powerful.
After she finished her sandwich for today, her guard took her back to the cell that she hated. It was her home, and although it was now only 2 o clock, she was tired. She climbed into the bottom bunk and curled up, grabbing the pillow tightly and sighing into it. To be honest, she regretted everything, being part of the fan club and even meeting Selena in the first place. She wish she never knew about her, and maybe, just maybe she still would’ve been out living her life today.
She continued to think about the thing that landed her in this prison of life, one that she would more than likely spend the rest of her life in. She didn’t expect to be out for parole, even when the time comes, she was expecting everyone to never forgive her. If she got out, everyone would despise her, she won’t be able to get a job, and she’ll be struggling to maintain herself. After all, she was going to be over 60; almost old enough to get her social security and yet she wouldn’t have worked in over 30 years. She was going to be broke, she was never going to regain her life. And with that, she tried to clear her mind.
At dinner, she felt strange, she felt as if something was different, as if someone was watching her. She was slightly paranoid the whole time, watching everyone in the dining hall as they walked past her to their tables. It seemed like no one was paying her mind, and not even her biggest fans were looking in her direction today.
“I think her being in here as made her a little crazy.” one teased as she lifted her index finger to her head and rotated it in a circular motion.
“She’s been in here so long, what do you expect?” another one said.
“Maybe she’s just tired. Sometimes, when I don’t get enough sleep, I start acting a little crazy. You know, a little insane. Sleep is important for us.”
“Yeah, yeah, we know.”
“Should one of us go to check on her?”
“Nah, she’ll be fine by tomorrow.” the oldest woman at the table said as she turned in her direction and made a heart with her hands.
Yolanda just sent here a smile and a nod as she sat down the rest of her food, unable to finish due to the mental discomfort and the feeling of unease that tugged at her stomach. Needless to say, she was ready to head back to her cell.
Later that night, after the guards went home, she was slowly entering a relaxed state. She got comfortable as she laid down and turned towards the wall. She closed her eyes and drifted off into a sleep slumber.
At a quarter to midnight, she woke up, feeling like someone was staring directly at her. She looked outside the cell, and there was no one, the lights outside her small room were all off. The small light in her room was still shining pretty bright.
“H-hello?” she muttered out, only to receive no answer.
“Hello?” she mumbled out once more.
“I see you’ve aged quite a bit, must be the stress. You know, back when I was a singer, there was a lot of stress coming from being famous. But, I guess, being infamous can still put the same amount of weight on you. I wouldn’t know.” a voice came from inside the room.
“Who’s there?!” Yolanda jumped, sitting up in her bed, she looked around only to see nothing.
“You don’t remember me? That kind of makes me sad.”
“Who are you!? Show yourself!”
Selena looked down at her from the top bunk. She gave her a smile of both anger and disgust. “Hola bitch.” she stated.
Yolanda let out a scream, one that no one could hear. She continued to scream, before hopping off the bed and running as quick as she could to the other side of the room. He back pressed against the wall.
“You can’t be here!! You’re dead! I killed you!!”
“That you did, perra. But guess what? Since I was an innocent soul, I ended up exactly where you thought I would. In heaven, somewhere you’d never make it to. You know?” she giggled.
“This can’t be real!”
“You’re right it can’t be. It shouldn’t be, but it is, and here I am, in the flesh. My whole body, live and well with not a single bullet wound.”
“B-but how??” Yolanda swallowed hard.
Selena rolled her eyes.
“I just told you how, I’m in heaven.”
“No, I mean how did you get here?! Back to earth!?”
“That, is something I don’t know, but what I do know, is that I am back and I am well.” Selena said hopping down from the top bunk and basically floating to the floor.
Yolanda was still shivering in fear, she couldn’t believe what she was seeing and it was hard to even comprehend.
“You seemed surprised to see me.”
“Yeah!! Because you’re dead! I killed you!”
“You did. And how many years ago was it again? About 24? It's been a long time, and I bet you don’t even care.” Selena hummed as she took steps closer.
“I-I-”
Selena gets face to face with her murderer and looks her in the eyes.
“You’re not so strong without a weapon, without a gun to protect you huh? I mean look at you, you’re cowering in fear, afraid of what I might do to you. And honestly you should be.”
Yolanda grabbed the closest thing to her and threw it at Selena. It went through her, just like it would a ghost. She swallowed hard, her saliva almost getting caught into her throat.
“Trying to hurt me again? I don’t think you’ll find that as successful as you think. Too bad too, this would be a great time to prove how powerful you are.” Selena paused.
“I despise you for what you did. You killed me in cold blood in jealousy, for what? What did I ever do to you? I gave you a job, a home, and somewhere to be yourself, and how do you repay me? You murder me, right when I was hitting my peak of success, my peak of happiness. And not once did you dare to apologize. Not once did you regret anything that you did. Not once did you bring yourself to ever think about the consequences that you would bring about by taking me out. I lost my friends and family because of you, and they lost me. And it's all your fault.”
“L-look Selena, I didn’t mean to- I was just trying to-”
“Quiet!! I don’t want to hear it. You killed me! You took my life away from me!! I was happy and you just snatched it from me because you were being selfish!!” Selena said, tears forming in her eyes.
She tried not to cry but she couldn’t help it. Ghostly tears fell down her cheeks as she balled her fists in anger.
“I wanted to have kids! I wanted to start a family! I wanted to continue making my mom and dad proud, you don’t understand. I don’t expect you to understand. I really don’t” Selena shook her head and relaxed her hands.
“I’m sorry Selena!! I’m so so so sorry!! Please! Forgive me!! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to end your life like that! I was just being jealous, I just was angry that I might be forgotten or left behind by you by the time that everyone knew me.”
“I wasn’t going to forget you. I’m better than that; I’m better than you, and I always have been.”
“Selena!! I’m sorry!! Please!! Please forgive me!! I didn’t mean it!! I really didn’t mean it!!”
“Yolanda, I can’t. You did it, and you have to own up to it and you know this. I was trying to be there for you, just like I was everyone else. I wanted to make sure you were happy, that you were satisfied with your job. I wanted to see you succeed in life, just like I did, and you didn’t have to be famous to do that. You just needed to be happy, you needed to be content with what I was giving you and I was giving you everything. You had a lot of my attention, my time, and my love. You were in charge of my fans. You were to help me while I helped you. You were to be my best friend when I’m on the road but you didn’t appreciate it. It was never enough for you and I should’ve saw it in your eyes, I should’ve seen the anger and rage that ran through you for who knows how long? But you know, I tried to look past it, I was better than that. You know this, everyone knew this and that’s why they’re all pissed at you. They knew I didn’t deserve this. But what should I expect? Trust no one I guess.”
“Se-” Was the only last syllable she could mutter out before Selena cut her off.
“Vete a la mierda.” Selena said as she turned her back to Yolanda and walked away, disappearing into thin air.
Yolanda clenched her teeth, trying not to cry. She felt regret stab her in her stomach and she felt angry at her past. She fell to her knees, scraping them on the dirty cell floor. She screamed loud, her hands gripping tightly at her hair and yanking roughly, pulling strands out. She continued to screech, which echoed through the area that she was sitting in. She could feel herself slipping, wishing that she could take it all back.
The lights flickered. Before it stayed on for the rest of the night, this time, it was just a lot dimmer.
Chris was sitting in his room, his guitar in his hand as he strummed a few strings. He hummed a melody to himself, it was one that belonged to one of his ex wife’s songs. He let a long sigh escape his lips.
It was getting late, and he had been up all day trying to think of something to write, but nothing came to mind. And the longer he sat there with his instrument in his hand, the longer time slipped away from him and before he knew it, it was 1am.
“I wish Selena was here. It's been so long…”
He felt his heart ache. He felt empty inside once more, and that’s probably why he divorced his last wife. No one could replace Selena, no matter how hard he tried. He hung his head in dread.
“Bebe?” Selena’s voice came in a whisper from the other side of the room.
“Selena?” he lifted his head up to be faced with Selena standing in front of him, an enormous smile on her face.
“Selena!” he jumped up from the bed and embraced her in the best way possible in a warm loving hug.
“I missed you so much Chris.” she said, her smile fading only some.
“I missed you more Selena.” he said as he pulled away from her some, only to pull her into a deep, passionate and loving kiss.
Their hearts were beating a thousand miles a minute as they held each other in an embrace. They felt so warm and comforted.
“Wait, how could you be here!? I thought you were dead!?”
“I am dead, sadly… but… I found a way to travel here, and I knew I needed to pay you a visit.”
“Mi amor, its so late... “
Selena laughed and pushed him gently. She took a look at the clock.. “Its only 1 in the morning.”
“Pretty late to be visiting someone don’t you think?” he laughed.
“Fine!” she said pushing him harder so he falls back onto his bed in a fit of laughter.
Selena crawls on top of him and pulls him into another kiss, more passionate than the one before. Their kiss lasted for minutes before she pulled away.
“I’m sorry Selena.” he tried to fight back tears.
“About what love?” she said, questioning his worrying expression.
“I found someone else… but we got divorced! But we do have two kids… I’m so sorry.”
Selena got silent and felt something that she would assume, if she wasn’t dead, would be heartbreak. She shook her head trying to shake the feeling and gave a soft sigh.
“I didn’t expect you to stay single forever, and it wasn’t your fault I died. I just hope you were happy as long as you were with her.”
“I was, but I was never as happy with her as I was with you.” Chris mumbled.
Selena kissed him once more, wiping his tears away.
“Chris, I just want you to be happy, I don’t care how it happens. I don’t want you to just be caught up on me. I’m gone, and I can’t come back in any other way but this one. And it's not permanent. I don’t even know how long I can be like this until i have to return back to heaven but I wanted you to know how much I love you, and missed you.”
“Please don’t leave again.” he almost whimpered as he gripped her wrist.
“I have to, I’ve been on earth for a few hours now and I don’t want to miss out on talking to my family. Don’t worry, I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
“Selena… I love you.” he said, tears continuing to stream down his slightly swollen cheeks.
“I love you too Chris. Say “hi” to the kids fo me.”” she said as she started to fade, her voice zoning out along with her.
Chris sat there, in his room in disbelief, but he soon began to smile. He wiped his tears away and laughed some as he realized that this was the happiest he had ever been in a while.
Soon enough, Selena was in her brother’s house, who was fast asleep. She planted a kiss on his forehead and rubbed his shoulder before leaving out. She then went to go visit her sister who was preparing for bed, and gave her a pat on the shoulder and a hug from behind. Her sister turned around and saw nothing and continued to prepare herself for sleep. Selena knew she would return a better time, when everyone was active and awake so that was she could spend quality time with them.
Lastly, she went to go visit her parents who were sitting in the living room watching tv. She appeared right in front of it.
“Hola mama, papa.” Selena said grinning.
Both her parents sat up and looked at her, wiping their eyes to make sure they weren’t dreaming.
“Selena!?” they shouted in unison as they both got up and ran over to hug her.
“You can’t be real!!” her mom screamed in disbelief.
“I am mama, I’m in heaven, but I managed to come here so that I can see everyone.”
“You mean you already visited Chris and your siblings?” her father wondered.
“Yes, Chris was awake writing music but my brother and sister were sleeping.”
“We just can’t believe you’re here mija! We’re so happy to see you!”
“Me too mom, I’m so glad to be able to see you again. Both of you, here alive and well. It's been so long since I’ve been able to have the embrace of my loved once and I wish it could stay that way.”
“I wish it could too.” her mother was tearing up,
“No, please don’t cry mom…. I know this isn’t forever but I’ll be back I promise and I know you’ll both join me in heaven. I’ll just keep coming back until you do, as much as I can,as often as I can. I promise.” Selena said as she started fading away.
“What’s happening?!” her father screamed in a slight panic.
“It's time for me to go I guess. I’m sorry that I wasn’t here that long. I’ll be back. I love you both, I always will… make sure you tell Marcella and Abraham that I visited them last night, and that I’ll return soon.”
“Bye Selena! We love you!” they said together as her father hugged her mother trying his best to comfort her.
Selena waved and blew them a kiss as she became nothing. Completely gone from earth’s surface.
“Selena! Selena wake up!!” the brunette shook her new friend’s lifeless body in worry.
“Selena!” She shook her harder, as she watched Selena finally started breathing again.
She gasped and opened her eyes. She sat up, almost as if she was startled and looked her friend in the face, giving her a big tight hug. She took a second to gain her breath, her chest heaving and her heart racing.
“I’m fine Lisa. Its okay, I’m perfectly fine.”
“Thank goodness…” Lisa sighed as she clinged to her friend’s clothing.
“How long was I gone…?”
“About 5 hours. I thought I had lost you. I wasn’t expecting you to be out of it for so long. What even happened…?”
“I-I’m not sure…” she said pulling away and scratching the back of her head. “I was able to visit my killer, and I was able to get in contact with friends and family. I was so happy to see Chris… and mama and papa.”
“How…?!” Lisa’s eyes widened in wonder and speculation.
“It must have something to do with concentration and thought…”
“I didn’t know we were capable of traveling to earth.”
“Me neither, not until today anyway. But, I don’t think I can do it again. It took a lot of energy and it was super stressful.”
Lisa grew worried and hugged Selena once more, the warm embrace comforting her as they sat there together.
“I want to know more, but I rather not have you talk about it. I don’t want you hurting or worrying.”
A knock at the door suddenly came and they looked at each other in wonder.
“Who is it?” Selena shouted.
“Um… its Mac Miller.” the voice behind the door said.
“Who?” Lisa asked.
“Mac Miller, the rapper.”
“We don’t know any Mac Miller.” Selena responded.
“That’s fine… but I just wanted some help… please? I was just wondering where we were and how’d I get here? Lemme in maybe?”
“Fine come in.” Selena sighed as Mac opened the door and walked in.
“Me too” a second voice came from what seemed like out of nowhere.
A dark skinned man with dreads and an accent walked in. He took a look around, slightly confused about his surroundings.
“I don’t know where I’m at either... “ he drifted off. “Oh, and I’m Bob Marley!”
Lisa and Selena sighed to themselves as their new focus was now on the two men in front of them.

Wow, I started playing Stardew Valley again after ages and I totally forgot all the controls lol
I tend to be badly suited to farming games, i always just burn myself out with obsessive playing for like a week straight and then never touch it for months. I guess its cos routines really bug me?? the more mandatory tedious stuff it has and the less options to choose what you do each day, and the less endearing character stuff to make it all worth it. its why rune factory in particular captured my heart and i could never get sick of it! Stardew DEFINATELY fails in a lot of respects when it comes to coveinence and game balancing. Oh and seriously it sucks to not even be able to see ANY cool character scenes with anyone until youve grinded anywhere between 3 and 5 levels worth of hearts, like how do i even know whether i wanna invest 10 hours of gameplay into someone if i have to do it before i even learn their basic personality traits?? And the fact the fishing minigame is quite literally broken and ive never seen anyone even catch a single damn fish in all the lets plays ive watched and just ARRRGH but its still a REALLY GOOD GAME, its just one where the few minor flaws stand out to me more cos i’m already extra critical on the genre. and honestly these are flaws that almost EVERYONE has in this genre, I’ve just been spoiled by the perfect holy rune factory standing above them all like a beacon of perfect playtesting. (SERIOUSLY MAN, THE WAY THEM BATTLE STATS FUEL THE FARM STATS AND VICE VERSA, MMMMYEAH ANTI FRUSTRATION FEATURES, ACTUAL CHOICE OF PLAYSTYLES THATRE ALL EQUALLY VALID DEAR GOD I LOVE IT)
But anyway I’m having a pretty fun time picking up my farm again after so long and hopefully i can pace myself better this time so I might actually finish the damn thing
BUT
ALSO
I’m remembering how sad I am that Krobus doesnt even have the same amount of minimal friendship scenes as everyone else :( Makes me wonder why they even teased us with giving him a friendship stat if you get literally nothing from filling it?? Seriously, as far as I know the ONLY scene you get is if you max out both him and the unnamed dwarf merchant, and even then its not really anything to do with your friendship with them, you just get to see them meet and be assholes to each other and establish that dwarves and shadows have some sort of ancient war against each other or something. I WANNA LEARN MORE ABOUT YOU TWO AS INDIVIDUALS I WANNA BE ABLE TO ACTUALLY MEDIATE THE CONFLICT aaaaa theyre just such cute monster people why cant i hug em
