Horseshoe Brooch
Princess Charlotte wore this horseshoe brooch to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
It was gifted to the princess by Queen Elizabeth, and originally owned by the Queen Mother, who was first pictured wearing the diamond horseshoe in 1929.

There's not a day when I won't feel sorry for her. He never deserved her or any of his children. Ironically, he killed Aemma for a son only to eventually gain not just one but three and neglect them. He traumatized a teenage girl for the rest of her life, using her and leaving her in the dust like she wasn't shit.

I adore finding original true colour footage of our lovely King George VI ❤️
There is so little available that I am always surprised to see his tanned skin (from spending so much time outdoors!) and the brightness of his ribbon medals.
Check out the way he just eyeballs the camera for a split second. You better look sharp and behave! Bertie’s always watching you…

Prince Albert & Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (the future King George VI & Queen Elizabeth) got engaged on this day in 1923.
“My dear Darling, I am just writing you a very little letter, I shall be thinking about you when you get this, & hoping that everything will go off wonderfully well. I am quite sure it will. Also, I might add that I do [underlined several times] love you Bertie, & feel certain that I shall more & more . I shall miss you terribly. You are such an Angel to me.” - Queen Elizabeth
“This is my first letter to you since you made me such a very happy person that Sunday at St Paul’s Walden & you don’t know what a wonderful difference it has made to me darling, in all ways. I think I must have always loved you darling but could never make you realise it without telling you actually that I did & thank God I told you at the right moment.” - King George VI

The Crowns of the British Consorts since Queen Victoria.
The Royal Family has informed that Queen Mary’s Crown will be used by Queen Camilla at the Coronation on Saturday, 6th May 2023.
This is the first time a Queen Consort’s Crown has been re-used since the 18th century (when Queen Caroline, consort of George II, wore Mary of Modena’s crown), in the interests of sustainability and efficiency.
Some minor changes and additions will be undertaken by the Crown Jeweller, in keeping with the longstanding tradition that the insertion of jewels is unique to the occasion, and reflects the Consort’s individual style.
The Crown will be reset with the Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds. In addition, four of the Crown’s eight detachable arches will be removed to create a different impression to when the Crown was worn by Queen Mary at the 1911 Coronation.

The Queen Mother’s Sapphire and Diamond Fringe Earrings
As the name suggests, the charming earrings belonged to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. She wore them mostly for black-tie (read: non-tiara) gala occasions.
The fringe detail, plus the combination of round and baguette diamonds, suggests an Art Deco-era creation.
The faceted sapphire set in the center of each earring is a gorgeous deep blue color.

This is why I love the greens on reddit...
(Even though , I post content dealing with all sorts of characters from the HOTD/GOT fandom. This is exactly why I'm an Alicent Hightower apologist.)
