Hii 😊 today I won't point out to you that a link to a next episode is missing. Today I just want to tell you: I love your story very much and I'm already sad that it's about to end. I have now arrived at the current chapter.

I had already seen the scenes in the hospital, but I wanted to know why and how everything came about in a certain way. That's why I had to read the story from the beginning. I love all the characters, especially Jayden and Eva. They were always loving, understanding the whole time. I've sometimes wondered if any of them might be a "false friend." But it was never the case. The two of them (and of course Wyatt) have stood by Megyn the whole time.

And there were often little parts of the episodes that made me cry (mostly from joy and gosh, i'm 40 years old btw^^). I am an extremely empathetic person, sometimes it is a blessing and a curse at the same time. and I felt so much for your story.

Now I'm looking forward to the last pictures and also to everything new. I don't know if there will be a happy ending. But even if not, it was still an incredibly good story with a lot to focus on. Violence in the family, suffering, but also deep friendship and the message that you must never give up and that you have to give many things time. Everything comes to a (hopefully) good end. 🌸

And it would be nice to know what happens next for both of them (Jayden & Megyn). At least just a little update every now and then. I like them a lot, they are a nice couple. I'm a harmony addict, I don't like a lot of drama in a story. You put the drama at the end of the story - her father's accident, which is really very tragic. Now I'm excited to see what happens next🤗😊many greetings, Mandy💗

My story has a pretty small audience of about 10 or so people who regularly follow, but I made this story knowing that I've succeeded if even 1 person out there enjoyed it 💖

I'm an empath too so I totally get it. You're introduced to a character who is struggling, didn't deserve what happened to them, and are now working to have a better life. If that isn't the recipe for an empath's favorite character, I don't know what is.

The false friend thing is prob something several people had in mind when first introduced to the friends, since during the beginning Megyn was actively avoiding people and fake friends was a fear she had (aka people who would take advantage of her and/or harm her in some way). But all 3 of them are genuine and I wanted to make them genuine to send the message that 1. you can't do things alone and 2. sometimes you need to give people a chance and open your heart to them. By doing that, Megyn not only scored two very close friends, but also a very loving boyfriend. I personally have a fear of fake friends myself, and I definitely have had them, but if you don't open your heart and give people a chance, you will miss out on the real ones that do come your way.

There will be an epilogue to the story that will explain what happens to Megyn and everyone else after her dad's accident, so there will be updates on Jayden/Megyn and a satisfying conclusion. But after the story itself ends, I was thinking about doing little slice-of-life one-shots to further explore this post-accident life since the epilogue primarily just explains it. I promise you I will not be finished with these characters once the main story ends. They're my sims/characters and I love them to bits!! I even have an idea for a sequel, but I'm not sure when or if this will happen since I'm in great need of a break from making story posts and want to do other things for a little while, but those one-shots are definitely in my plans!!

That soup of Yor's is an dramatized version of a Vietnamese dish called "canh cá rau cần" or "canh cá rau ngót", aka "Vietnamese fish soup with water celery and tomatoes"

Fortunately for whoever you're going to cook this dish for, I'm no chef myself, I simply threw things in the pot until my ancestors told me to stop, I can't really write down how I do it for you. So rest assured, your victims diners(?) won't end up like Loid and Anya.

However, I did something better: go and search for recipes online.

Unfortunately, all the recipes of this dish which read even a bit familiar to me is in Vietnamese. The English ones mostly read like either a whole completely different dish or use wrong ingredients in one way or another.

This is the best I could find, it's a simplified version from a lady who lives abroad, with ingredients that I believe are easier to find for you.

Or you can try its more well-known cousin "canh chua cá", or "Vietnamese sweet and sour fish soup", which also a perfect dish for a hot day, personally recommended ❤️ Recipe from the same blog:

BTW: I was gonna called her "PapiKir" (or Papii Kirby), but the name doesn't fit her. "Popi" or "Popii" is a neat fitting name for her, considering the name was based on the 2000s Anime, that I won't mentioned. (Sorry, its now my privacy. So, hope you'll understand.)

• PopiKir was a same alien species as him, she's part of the warrior of their planet (that we all know in the Kirby universe) as an army, along side with him. Not only that, her hobbies are very skillful like cleaning (chores), and cooking all by herself. The latter was her passion, and hopefully she'll be a successful chef on the planet.

I normally don’t do a lot of difficult and technical stuff. If I get really inspired by GBBO, I’ll dabble on a free weekend, but usually I’m too lazy to do anything other than a quick pan of brownies or the chocolate chip cookies. My mom loved profiteroles and taught me to make them when I was like 12 so she didn’t have to anymore (they’d honestly easy just really time consuming, especially if you don’t have a stand mixer!) so I only make them like once a year!

I'm going to start searching and try one or two out!! They also have white chocolate chips, so they're a more budget friendly white chocolate macadamia nut cookie! Which are my favorites btw

I can't wait to see your list!! I personally see him as peanut butter, maybe because my dad is also a Jake girl and he loves my peanut butter cookies. Like Jake is a good warm peanut butter cookie made with crunchy pb and topped with sea salt to me.

I typically only bake from scratch during Christmas, and my day of baking is the one day a year I listen to Christmas music (yes I'm that bad humbug bitch) but we also spend two days making candy. Fudges, peanut butter balls, haystacks, literally anything. When my mom went to culinary school when I was growing up, her favorite classes were on chocolate and soups/sauces. Now she's finally an executive chef and making sauces and spending her days in the bake shop because they don't have a baker.

Today I have a wonderful recipe for you that will only take you about 45 hours to make! Kidding🤗 

Before I jump into the recipe I wanted to be a typical plant mom and show off my little sprout-lings in that last picture! It’s a mixture of herbs and some veggies (mostly tomatoes and cucumbers) since I wasn’t successful getting to my garden last year. I’m hoping to have more success this year but any plant parents out there with tips? All advice is welcome!

I’ve been obsessed with quiche since my first pregnancy. I know there’s an “original” out there somewhere but the kind I make is certainly far from it. It takes a total of 50 minutes to make, but the time can be cut in half if you prep somewhat before.  I always get praised for how “well” my kids eat and I think a large portion it has to do with the variety I present them with. I’ve never had the mindset to cook different things for different kids because what parent has time for that! No, instead what I do is introduce good, seasoned food from the start of their food introduction (around 6-8 months) and three kids later, I have no idea what it’s like to have a picky eater. 

This can typically last for two breakfasts as I usually pair it with a some fruit and toast. It’s also reallllllly good with French toast and maple syrup!

Ingredients I used:

- 10 eggs; I like a denser quiche but you can use less if you don’t + there’s five of us eating this

. 1 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese

- 1 cup of whole fat milk

- 2/3 cup of roughly chopped onion

- 2/3 cup of mushrooms

- 1/3 of yellow peppers

- 1 Tbsp of salt

- 1/2 tbsp of cayenne pepper (we like spicy)

- 1 tsp of black pepper

- 1 tsp of onion and garlic powder

- A pinch of ginger powder

Optional: More protein!

I add turkey links in diced chunks; I don't always add it in, but I did for this quiche. Directions: Before prepping, set you oven to 360 degrees. Remove all your pots and pans from there first 🤪

Wisk eggs with milk.

Chop veggies into chunks(sizable but not bulky) and add them in to the mixture being sure to fold it into the eggs.

Add in all spices and mix for a full minute to coat everything in mixture.

Pour half of mixture  into a 9″ circular, oven safe pan (could also be a square pan too) and add a 1/2 of mozzarella. Add rest of mixture and cheese to top it off.

Place in oven and leave for approx. 30 minutes.

I usually let mine cool for about 10 minutes before cutting into it, ust to make sure everything is settled inside. Personally, my children like ketchup with their eggs (🤢) but I enjoy a bit of strawberry jam with mine, so I can’t talk.

Of course this is not my recipe. I will only share if I’ve tested it, it’s good and it’s idiot proof because I am not good at cooking. 🤗 enjoy

Recipe serves 7. You can go to the link and reduce or increase the number of servings and the ingredients size will auto change.

Ingredients

▢ 6 large eggs or 4 duck eggs for fluffier pancakes ▢ 170.1 g cream cheese ▢ 15 drops vanilla stevia drops optional ▢ 1 tablespoon whole psyllium husks whole

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a small blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Pour about 3 tablespoons batter onto hot griddle or large frying pan for each pancake. When top is covered in bubbles and edges appear dry, flip pancakes. Continue to cook until bottom side is browned. Remove from griddle. Serve warm with butter and low carb maple flavored syrup if desired.

Notes

Each serving contains about 0.9 gram carb. Vanilla extract and a little sweetener can be used in place of vanilla stevia drops.

Fish Fight's past, present and future

Past

2018-ish: Erlend and Jakob start racking up countless hours of Duck Game couch-play. No game&chill hangout is ever without it from this point onwards. As it gradually dawns on them that Duck Game is no longer actively developed they begin to boastfully proclaim, beer-in-hand: "One of these days we'll make a spiritual sequel to this kick-ass game, and the Legend of the Duck shall live on forever!"  🍻

October 2020: Erlend pitches the concept of a "Fish Game" to Heroic Labs as 'An open reference game (using Nakama for multiplayer)'. They're into it!  🤝

November 2020: A game design document takes shape.   📙

December 2020: Orlando PixelFrog joins the team as our lead artist. Fedor @not-fl3 gets on board to make the Rust (macroquad) version of Fish Game. 🌶 (near-identical prototypes were also made in Unity and Godot.)

January 2021: The first version of our art style is complete.   🐟

March 2021: Fish Fight (Godot-version) is released and reaches the front page of Hacker News.  🚀

July 2021: With Heroic Lab's blessing, Erlend and Fedor fork Fish Game to continue it as an indie venture, henceforth known as: Fish Fight!  🕊

August 2021: Our very first trailer is released 📺  alongside a release post detailing our ambitions as an open and commercial game project. We also drop a hint about our larger plans for the future:

Aside from just wanting to keep a game archetype we love alive, we also want to demystify the game development industry. That is our larger, overarching mission as practitioners in our craft. We don’t buy into the need for excessive secrecy and proprietary ownership in order to make ambitious games. Therefore, we’re setting out to make one ambitious game after the other, out in plain sight.

September 2021: The project exits stealth mode and is publicly released as an open source game. We also announce our approach to Open Hiring and $100 internships, which will lead to over a dozen interns contributing to the game within months.  🤗

October 2021: Fedor steps down as Technical Director with an intent to focus on *quads development and his own 'Fish Fight: The Prequel' spinoff, published on Steam.  👋

November 2021: Orlando completes our much-aniticipated art revamp.  🐠

December 2021: v0.3 is released, marking the arrival of our in-game level editor. Alexander @olefasting, having contributed actively since mid-year and single-handedly responsible for the addition of the editor, is our new Technical Director.  🛠

Present

Today we're announcing our partnership with Ultimate Games! They're a fresh startup in the indie space, betting big on browser-based games. Fish Fight has signed a (non-exclusive) platform partnership with Ultimate to be one of their launch titles later this year when their games platform goes public.

Thanks to this little bit of formalization, we now have an official deadline for the v1.0 Stable Release of Fish Fight: July 2022.

We feel very confident about this timeline (jinx!?), as the game is already close to being feature-complete. This month of January our focus will be on making the game run on the Ultimate platform, which means we'll soon be handing out invite links to anyone interested. The remaining months will be all about playtesting & polish.

Future

Now that Fish Fight development has stabilized, it's time to consider what other projects the Spicy Lobster team might take on. The Open Source Games Thesis that guides our development practices and strategy has matched up very well with our predictions for Fish Fight's success. This year we'll be applying that same openness recipe to a small handful of other games.

For instance, how about a Castle Crashers / River City Ransom / Little Fighers-type game, set in the Fish-y-verse? Here's an art demo a LF2 modder threw together for us:

Does that look hype or what!? Imagine these fishies flexing their fins to appear in all sorts of classics, like the best of the Kunio-kun catalogue for instance. It should be fairly obvious at this point where we're headed. If you're into it, our door is always open via Discord, GitHub or Twitter.
