something i find interesting about the loot table with the trail ruins rn is like
theres 7 pottery shards to find there so they did a lot with pottery in this culture
the dyes and dyed items dont match up, no candles that are the colors of the loose dyes you find, no brown or green glass panes [colors of the candles], no orange or blue (only light blue) glass panes [from the loose dyes]
theres only oak and spruce hanging signs no matter the biome theyre generated in, im suffering the implications of why theres only those two to find, did they just not use any other wood or are those two the only ones to survive the test of time
beetroot
considering the smithy that can generate in the ruins and the four (4) smithing tablets its fair to say that these people were masters of the forge, not only having a wealth of different armour trims at hand but also being able to manipulate and dye glass for us to be able to find
unrelated to the loot table but related to my restoration work on the buildings; these people really fucking loved color and clay! other than the roads most of everything is either mud or some clay based material like terracotta or bricks

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game
Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.
Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.
The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.
And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).
And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.
Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.
(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).
After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).
Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

The first interaction with Steve Harrington that Eddie can actually remember, was being punched in the face. Selective memory is a bitch, because had he remembered the whole story maybe some things would be different.
if he'd remembered the whole story, that Steve did in fact punch him in the face, pretty damn hard too, but...
He'd at first saved him from a much bigger bully, a bully who was calling him mean names and pushing him around, scrunching up his D&D notes and throwing them across the grass.
He'd have remembered Steve telling him not to listen to them as he picked up a few of Eddie's rumpled notes from the floor once the bully had left, carefully trying to flatten them out to remove the creases then offering them to him, he'd have remembered rudely snatching them back, asking why he shouldn't, why shouldn't he listen? rudely asking "what's it to you anyway?" because he was upset and defensive and generally had his hackles raised at ALL times during his first year in Hawkins.
He'd have remembered Steve... fiddling with his own fingers as he spoke, "Cause some people like guys like that. I mean. Nerdy guys, nerdy people. Some people like them."
"Yeah, like who?" so far Eddie hadnt really made many friends.
"I mean... I like you..."
He'd have remembered, that in his infinite, defensive, middleschool wisdom, that to Steve's quiet, bashful confession, he'd snapped about how gross that was.
And then he'd watched Steve's beautiful face contort into panic, and sadness, and THEN Steve decked him, right in the nose, walked away, and promptly refused to speak to him again up until that stupid boat house.
The only problem is, he still doesnt actually remember the whole story, and unfortunately despite his best efforts to flirt and charm the man who dragged his ass bleeding out of Hell.
Steve does.

(ID: Kirby series fanart comic of Ribbon hanging out with Dark Meta Knight and offering some criticism regarding his attitude, based on this incorrect quote. Transcript below the cut. END ID.)
Anything to draw more Wave 2 shenanigans. Thanks once again to @incorrect-star-allies for the inspo (seriously, reading these silly quotes always makes my day - if chronic fatigue wasn’t a thing, I’d be making so much more fanart for the things you post, haha.)
UPDATE: Added highlights 'cause I'm a dingus and forgot to add them before I posted.
Started 05/04/24, finished 05/10/24.
---
Transcript:
Panel 1
*Ribbon centered in frame from her midsection up, turned 3/4 towards our left, eyes shut and a hand held palm up as she speaks.*
R: Dark Meta Knight is not a morning person.
Panel 2
*Ribbon turns the opposite way, glancing towards our right with one brow furrowed, tapping her chin pensively with her other hand.*
R: Or a night person.
Panel 3
*Shot pans back to show Ribbon sitting on top of DMK’s head, leaning forward slightly to watch as he sits on the floor and hunches over a sharpening block, running the edge of a combat knife along the well-used stone.*
R: There’s really only about seven minutes a day that you’re fun to be around.
Panel 4
*DMK finishes his sharpening and sits up to inspect the blade, one eye shut, running a thumb along the now sparkling edge. Ribbon - not expecting the movement - starts to tumble backwards off his head, her eyes wide and pupils shrunk, arms and legs and wings spread out in surprise.*
DMK: The best part is you never know when they’re coming.

one of my favorite things about bojack horseman is that the show will end with the most depressing, heartbreaking, gut wrenching, emotionally devastating scene you’ve ever seen in your entire life then it immediately cuts to the absolute banger that is back in the 90’s by grouplove

you ever think about vex and percy being so stand-offish and snarky to vox machina but vex being the first one to call them all family and percy cushioning scanlan’s leaving by reminding them they are a family, and percy quietly confessing to grog that it’s nice to have an older brother again? you ever think about the fact that percy and vex, members of a party that — except on rare occasions — existed as a group of seven, had five kids?

had to draw this to understand the way i feel about him now that the manga's ended. 🥲 on that note: if you like hawks and his ending, maybe don't read my tags lol. it's not bashing (imo) but they're not v nice. 😅
bg + unobstructed pose under the cut!
his expression's a lil different 'cuz i only changed the merged layer, all the lighting effects already flattened onto it. 💀 alas.

Speaking of the family, at the family reunion I went to last week, my niece instantly fell in love with Tater and carried her around for 99% of the duration, only putting her down (not even down. Just in someone else's lap) when she was eating bc Tater is A Bad And Untrained Heathen and does not respect Human Food Is Not For Dog rules.
Tater, of course, was thrilled that she got to spend the day doing the thing that she has always wanted to do. Be a living teddybear for someone who will kiss and cuddle and hold her and not make her walk on her own little feets.
And also she was pretty happy with the mouthfuls of bacon Mac and cheese she stole off my niece's plate before she was caught.
