The Willow Project is legitimately evil. It's a huge, disastrous oil project that ConocoPhillips wants to do in Alaska. Biden approved it despite huge backlash against it and consistent protests against things similar such as cop city forest, DAPL, & Line 3.

As a democrat who wants to pretend he's for climate change and gives a shit about BIPOC and the health of humans or the planet he has a weird way of showing it.

To support natives and a greener planet reblog this to spread awareness, ally yourself against the willow project on social media, boycott Conoco, sign petitions, & call/write your reps telling them to withdraw support of ConocoPhillips oil in your state due to the hazardous Willow Project or you'll flip the next election. You didn't elect someone who'd harm the whole planet for greed did you? No. So say that.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday issued a one-page ruling rejecting requests from an Alaska Native organization and several environmental groups to delay ConocoPhillips’ construction work.

The appeals ruling came in a pair of lawsuits challenging the Biden administration’s March 13 approval of the Willow project. The project, which promises to be the biggest Alaska oil development in decades, would be the westernmost producing oil field on the North Slope. It is located within the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska, and it would tap into reserves estimated at about 600 million barrels, producing a peak of 180,000 barrels per day.

Broskis I have never done a post like this and tbh, I barely get interactions on my posts so this may be a complete dud, but recent i’ve gotten an influx of followers so I’m going to use that momentum right now.

If you care even the slightest about the planet and want to piss off the boomers and ConocoPhillips (a disgusting ass oil company 🤢🤮) with a big fuck you, please please please sign the Protect The Arctic petition against the Willow Project in Alaska and the Arctic and/or the Change.org petition against the mining.

If the Biden administration does go ahead with the plan, it really will mark an end for the planet - ConocoPhillips wants to drill for petroleum and as a result, will destroy local habitats and disrupt the wildlife. It will pump over 278 MILLION tons of greenhouse gases into the air. You know, one of the biggest things currently warming our planet and killing us? The locations that they want to destroy are “…critical habitat for migrating caribou, waterfowl and other wildlife.” They have even aggressively lobbying Congress and the White House to try and pass the bill to allow for the project! It will destroy any progress towards the end for oil drilling and the destruction of the climate. The warming planet is wreaking havoc on the wildlife there (and across the world) as well.

Please, if there’s anything you take away from this, is that this is a threat to my future! To your future! To our future! surprise ! surprise ! the government, whether it be blue or red, doesn't give a damn about you and the environment. The climate crisis has been going on for decades now. Oil companies are destroying the environment since the 1970s. And the State allow it.

We live in a capitalist society, where "money" (literally colored pieces of paper) are more important than lives. I'm tired to see people being like "we need to wake them up! They need to realize how serious climate change is!"

THEY KNOW. They're wide awake. They just don't care. The State and its friends doesn't give a damn about the consequences of their actions. They simply don't fucking care. They've been telling us since the very beginning that they don't care. THIS CRISIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR DECADES NOW – when will we finally accept the message and start organizing ?

a petition has been made to protest against the Willow Project. But will a piece of paper really change anything? If I shared what I wanna do against those disgusting, selfish companies, especially to those who are behind this stupid project, I'd be banned and arrested.

Honestly, we have no choice left ; we need to *seriously* fight against capitalism and the State.

How are we supposed to smash the State if we keep following their rules ? They don't deserve peace or kindness. They reached the limit.

Those assholes are stealing our future, destroying the environment and killing living beings (whether it be animals or human beings such as Indigenous populations), why should we be peaceful ?

If you are unaware of what the Willow Project is, it is a proposal that could severely damage both our Arctic and make climate change irreversible. I don't have the means to explain everything, but the link provided does so exceptionally. just saw someone write "the willow project isn't that bad" and they are honestly, a fucking idiot. They claim that an ice age will come and everything will be fine again. I don't know if you know this, THIS IS FIRST TIME IN THE INHABITABLE HISTORY THAT THE POLES ARE LACKING ICE. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FUCKING FROZEN, IT'S JUST THE REST OF THE WORLD THAT HAS DEFROSTED. They claimed that the Willow project is the safest way to drill for resources, which is fucking false, because the native animals AND PEOPLE (THERE ARE NATIVE AMERICANS IN THAT AREA) WILL GET SICK FROM THE GAS. Take this with a pinch of salt, but a friend of mine told me about how apparently there was a gas leak and a bunch of animals died and a few people got sick? But i'm having a hard time finding evidence for that so it could be false. But nonetheless, people and animals will get hurt.

They said how cars produce more gas than the willow, and i'm not sure how true this is, but the whole point of transitioning from fuel cars to electric cars (i don't like these, but that's a different topic) and readily available public transport, is to PHASE OUT the need for fossil fuels, we don't need another fucking mine

the real kicker though is this person ended their comment with "but i don't really like the world so i don't care". This is the most misguided and frankly disheartening thing, it's genuinely the cause and justification of many horrible things. We like to believe that humans are inherently bad, that we just do bad things, that no matter what, our lives will be horrible and many will have to suffer at the hands of a few and there is no point in trying to change. This is not fucking true, and that dogshit mentality is why stuff is staying shit. I don't fucking care if you hate humans, stop allowing that hate to justify horrible shit. People do evil things, and allowing them to get away with it by saying "oh well humans are just evil" is a bloody excuse. Evil is taught, empathy is natural, but due to parenting and living conditions, it is often been removed from a child in order for them to survive. THE WILLOW PROJECT

" The Willow Project is a proposed pipeline in Northern Alaska that has been proposed by ConocoPhillips, a company that has been surrounded by controversy for continued oil drilling, exploitation of nature, and posing risks to indigenous communities globally. This project was proposed during the Trump administration, but has yet to be approved by the Biden administration. Despite Biden promising to turn away from non-renewable energy sources such as oil, he is still defending this project.

If this pipeline were to be approved, 100,000 barrels of oil would be produced for the next 30 years. The first oil to be used from this pipeline would be as early as 2024. We do not have much time, but it's still enough to defend our earth and the Iñupiat that live there.

Alaska has warmed more than twice as fast as the rest of the United States. Water levels are rising and the ground is thawing. Ruining our earth so that the rest of the world can live conveniently will have detrimental effects for our generations to come. Our earth, our people, and our wildlife are crying. KEEP IT IN THE GROUND! "

To cut it short and sweet, this needs everyone immediate attention, and I’m honestly both upset and pissed that I hadn’t heard about it sooner. I’m sure by now a lot of people are just now hearing about it with it now circulating on social media - TikTok especially.

Right now, The Willow Project is being decided on by the Biden Administration which will basically not only be destroying native land in Alaska, wolf life, ecosystems and so on for the sake of oil and material gain, but this could also permanently damage the O-Zone layer as this project is apparently meant to hon for thirty years. THIRTY FUCKING YEARS. That damage will never be able to fixed.

We need to do something, I have two links for which you can send in letters to the Biden administration on as well as a change.org. Regardless, something needs to be done, do what you can, boost the hell out of this because this is a problem that won’t just harm us, but those in the future too. I literally had my own younger sibling come to me because she was so stressed about The Willow Project. They’re twelve. We have 30 years left. That is the sentence Biden gave the world when he approved the willow project. 30 years. Barely longer than a life sentence. I am not American. Yet, still, I must live with their consequences. I will not get to have children and nurture them until they’re ready to have children of their own. I wont outlive my parents. I must live with the consequences of others greed. The world must live with their - the world. Think about it. The world won’t live with their consequences. It will wilt away into nothingness. Forgotten behind pages of text made from the trees it nurtured. Who cares about 30 years from now? Who cares about the impact of our actions? Who cares about the consequences? Who cares? At the end of the day, it won’t matter to them. They’ll be fat, rich and happy atop the towering piles of money as the world desperately claws at the bottom.

This was not necessary. This was not wanted. You had an out. You could have stopped. I did not want to believe you would shut out millions of crying voices begging you to stop. But you did. You forgot about us. You chose to ignore us. You did not sit idly by you deliberately approved it knowing the backlash and controversy. You chose this. Lacking all empathy fabled across humankind. You chose this.

You are evil. And now none of us will ever live long enough to fix the damage you have done.
