Geralt and his two loves at Thanedd (Yennefer and Shrimp).

I had to redraw Geralt so many times.. and in the end his outfit turned out so much simpler than Yen's....

I just think it would be cute if they had matching starry looks!!

For those who haven't read The Witcher, I feel the need to tell you some things...

Ciri was something around 10, I think, when she met Geralt, and was a terrible brat.

One of the first times Geralt met Ciri, he gave her a piggy back ride because she hurt her leg.

He told her a bed time story because she asked him to.

Geralt is a sarcastic bastard, especially with Ciri.

Ciri led Geralt by the hand when he had to be blindfolded while walking through Brokilon forest by the Dryads.

Ciri would cling to Geralt's thigh when she was frightened.

Geralt would cuddle Ciri so that she could fall asleep, and she would reach out to him as she slept.

There were hugs, and I think all of them were initiated by Geralt himself because he could see that Ciri was frightened or he was just very happy to see her.

It's so crazy that it's actual canon that Geralt has a whole moral thing against killing humans if he can help it, like he will just put up with fucking anything without batting an eye but the second someone threatens Dandelion's life he's like "okay so you have chosen Brutal Visceral Death got it" and mows them down without any hesitation. He was going to kill Regis - a guy who had been nothing but a good friend and helpful throughout their journey - just bc he said Dandy's blood smelled nice. IF I THINK ABOUT IT FOR TOO LONG I START GOING INSANE THEY ARE SO QUEERPLATONICS DO YOU UNDERSTAND

I've recently delved into the Witcher book series for the first time, and while I absolutely adore Jaskier and Geralt in the television adaptation, I must admit that their friendship reaches unparalleled heights in the books.

It's as if they both have this endearing perspective of each other, constantly thinking, "Behold this feral gremlin man I stumbled upon in the dumpster; I love him."

The genuine adoration between Dandelion and Geralt is an absolute delight to experience while reading. Their dynamic is filled with infectious joy and camaraderie, making it an incredibly enjoyable aspect of the story.

reading the witcher books after watching the netflix series is such a slap to the face (positive) mostly because of how much sweeter geralt is to everyone but also just because of. everything. I’m mostly talking about how he treats dandelion (jaskier) because the show did them dirty

and ALSO his dynamic with ciri is absolutely GOLD

I don’t have pictures but his relationship with yennefer is also so much better in the books and get this

the geraskier mountain divorce didn’t happen

tl;dr if you liked the netflix series (or even if you didn’t) you should definitely check out the books. the characters are so much more developed and the writing style is gorgeous. I’ve read three of them since getting the series last week.

I should not be left in a book store. Look at what I found 😍 it's an anniversary edition of the witcher short stories. It's soooooo pretty like, what the fuck, it's the prettiest book I own!
