JK ROWLING PLAGIARISM
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I remember this case and thinkin it was stupid. I saw post about this in tumblr years and years ago (2013?).
This aithor has accused rowling of plagiarism ages ago. This book came out 1974. There was a movie about this in 1986. A tv series in 1998-2001.
First Harry potter was published 1997.
Take a look at these and judge for yourself. To me there is awful lot of similarities

Have you watched movies or read Harry Potter books?
No, I haven’t read the Harry Potter books or watched the Harry Potter movies, I don’t think I'm interested.
Although I like magic shows, but usually famous shows don’t interest me!! I don't know why!
The magic show I watched and loved, "The Worst Witch" was funny and entertaining.

okay since they said that the san diego show is gonna be the only one Not recorded, i'll do my best to summarize the show for y'all!!!
-glenn's dad fact: the glenn close trio instagram (? i think?) is full of pictures of glenn standing next to a picture of the real glenn close
-darryl's dad fact: he and carol go to san diego very frequently because darryl likes the breweries and carol likes surfing! they have not "had sex" there once, but they HAVE made love (statements that made me cringe out loud)
-henry's dad fact: he and mercedes make a fake san diego burrito for themselves and the twins. it sounds awful.
-ron's dad fact: he thinks san diego is a type of eggo waffle
-the prompt that we rolled was called DADDY BABIES. the plotline? the dads (and paeden) went to the dimensional witch tilt toblerona to ask her to give them the strength of their youth back so they could find their kids. instead, tilt turned them into babies.
-the dads still have all of their memories of who they are as people and they can talk to themselves and to paeden (tilt does not understand them though, tilt only hears baby noises) but physically Being a baby affects their mental state just a bit
-ron wanted to stay a baby forever. henry tried to explain the concept of ageplay to him, darryl got confused thinking that ron just wanted to HAVE a baby like with samantha, henry had to explain fetishes
-during the baby section, henry is the most "adult" and ends up having to corral the others. darryl is a close second, but glenn and ron both Suffer Immensely
-while tilt is making. applesauce? the babies scheme on how to escape, involving an elaborate scheme in which henry uses mold earth on playdoh to make fake versions of themselves blue in the face and choking in a plastic bag and ron throwing his voice to sound like a baby crying. beth made the worst fake crying noise ever but then also gave us an INSANE dolphin noise when anthony called her out on it
-(also the dads had to roll object permanence to see if they thought tilt was gone forever when she was out of their line of sight. glenn failed this check very badly. darryl even played peekaboo with him to demonstrate object permanence and it failed. anthony made a horrible horrible joke that glenn's not a bad parent he just has bad object permanence even when it comes to nick)
-somehow this works? they trap tilt toblerona (glenn using illusory mind prison to make tilt think SHES the one choking on a plastic bag, henry casting stone wall on her to build a lego wall around her and effectively cask of amontillado-ing her) and then wander around the house looking for a way out.
-they realize they need tilt's key to escape, but first they watch an episode of bluey! henry is the only one who saved on a roll to Not be sucked into watching bluey and ends up unplugging the TV and going on a tangent about how screentime is bad
-(which is really fucking funny because he very explicitly says "lark and sparrow are well behaved because we set boundaries and have them play outside instead of using screens" and we all know how lark and sparrow are like. not???? not well behaved. henry im so sorry to break this to you but they are not well behaved-)
-anyways they get back to tilt, find and steal her key, and then open the door, promptly getting sucked through dimensions
-(darryl thinks for a second that he's in the rapture and tries to baptize himself in case his baby form isn't baptized. henry tries to help but goes on another tangent and they miss the opportunity)
-when they awaken, they find themselves now as teenagers in a classroom! and they see a GOTH PUNK SEEKER OF DARKNESS (phrases that made the entire crowd erupt in screaming, myself included)
-this time, darryl is the most stable of the dads! glenn coming in second, and then ron and henry were both. very teenager.
-darryl immediately offers to play ball with link. link is interested but ultimately gets shot down by tilt, who explains that they are in interdimensional detention forever
-glenn and taylor immediately bond over how cool they are
-scary asks ron if she can copy his math homework because he seems smart with a tie. ron agrees to let her but is very nervous about it (we later find out this is because he is not very good at math)
-teenage henry is a fucking delight yall. he sits there staring out the window at the trees and writing poetry (with long hair! long hair teenage hen is real!!!) about the trees and enjoying nature
-scary has to roll not to fall in love with him the second she finds out that he writes poetry (she fails)
-normal tries to bond with his grandfather. henry brushes him off entirely. its heartbreaking and also hilariously funny
-normal goes fucking apeshit yall. he gets so fed up of henry ignoring him and the others not talking to him and being trapped in this small room that he takes a crossbow and threatens tilt with it. she calls his bluff and he SHOOTS HER?
-at least, he tries. she catches the bolt and then tells him that if he's serious he needs to actually stab the bolt into her heart himself. he does. he's unhinged.
-tilt tries to explain her entire sob story backstory. darryl interrupts to boo her and call her a loser.
-glenn and taylor throw a desk out of the window to break it open. going out the window Will Kill You.
-ron paints the window like a slip and slide to try and trick tilt into going into it. it doesn't work. however two guards come in and it DOES work on one of the guards
-the other guard eventually gets physically thrown out of the window by taylor, who proudly declares that this will not affect him at all
-henry goes to talk to scary. scary gets excited, but then henry just asks if she thinks that teen darryl would go out with henry because even though he's "not henry's type", something about him is captivating. scary is heartbroken.
-darryl overhears this and rejects henry on the basis of him still dating carol! but offers to set henry up with carol's friends.
-glenn and taylor use awful fireworks to blind tilt, the other guard (that taylor kills), and normal since he was in range.
-scary tries to be bitter and calls henry out for being blind, but henry wasn't hit with the spell and immediately says some fakedeep shit about seeing more than most people do. it is insanely funny i cannot stress how funny teenage henry is
-link is now convinced that public schools were a mistake and he needs to leave Right Now. he rolls a nat 20 on taking the key, but uses it for himself to fucking dip. he just ditches them. he bolts for it. normal even tries to give him a high five and link completely goes NOPE.
-when nobody else has another form of escape, henry takes out his sketchbook? that apparently he always has as a teen? and uses summon creature to draw a boar and bring it to life. the boar smashes through the door and now they are saved!
-it is here that it is revealed this was all a dream but specifically a dream set pre-canon. darryl makes a comment about link being a narc. glenn tells taylor to never change because he's perfect exactly the way he is. scary tells ron that he sucks at math (and ron is very confused about scary's existence he doesn't know who she is).
-HENRY. tells normal to be the best version of himself. AND TO HELP HIM WITH THAT. he draws. TEENY. TO GIVE TO NORMAL AND INSPIRE HIM TO BE HIS BEST SELF. and that is how normal came up with teeny the teen as the mascot of teen high
-it was such a fun show, i'm so glad i got to attend! shame that it isn't being recorded

18+ MINORS DNI
It was Wanda’s first Christmas in the States since she lost her brother, the Avengers taking her in and giving her a home. As Nat left with Clint to spend the holidays with his family, everyone else left to spend it with their own family and friends, leaving Wanda and Y/N alone in the compound.
Although Y/N had a crush on the witch, they were afraid to act on it as she was still mourning the loss of her twin.
“Good morning.” Wanda greeted shyly as she walked into the kitchen, seeing Y/N prepare for the christmas cookies and building the gingerbread house. “What’s all this?” She asked as she stood beside them.
“I figured it’s your first Christmas here, so I wanted to show you how we spend it here.” They told her with a smile.
“Why didn’t you do what the others had done, spend it with your own family?” Wanda asked as Y/N looked down before shaking their head no.
“Because I wanted to be here with you.” They told her with a bright smile. “So come on, you like to bake right?” Wanda nodded as she joined Y/N’s side. With it being christmas eve, they had decided to do all of the baking before watching christmas movies.
“I didn’t realise there are a lot of activities for just one day.” Wanda laughed as Y/N nodded.
“There is more.” Y/N told her. “But we can always do that next year because now we watch movies and eat junk.”
“What?” Wanda laughed at their enthusiasm, soon following them into the living room. “The Grinch?” She questioned as Y/N smiled.
“The original cartoon version, and then the Jim Carrey one.” They told her as they threw a pack of crisps at her. “Now, sit back and relax.” They told her with a smile. She had done as they told her, thanking them quietly when they covered her with a blanket, soon finding herself leaning her head on their shoulder.
“What now?” She asked as they jumped forward, startling her slightly.
“This is for you.” They handed her a gift bag. “Open it.”
“Pyjamas?” She raised her brow.
“Christmas pajamas, now go shower and change woman.” They pushed her into her room as she laughed. They soon went into their own to change into matching pajamas.
“I thought only couples and families would wear matching pajamas?” She questioned with a raised brow.
“Well, we have known each other for almost a year and I consider you my family.” They told her sweetly, making her smile and her heart flutter. “Besides, you deserve to have the full experience.”
The two soon sat down as they ordered pizza, not really wanting to cook anything for dinner.
As they ate as A Wonderful Life played on the TV, Y/N sighed as they turned to look at her.
“You asked about my family before.” They started as Wanda nodded, giving them her full attention. “They died, it was a couple of years ago, I had just joined SHIELD after leaving the military.” They wiped their hands on their pants. “My parents and baby sister were proud of me, I was going to fight alongside the Avengers. But then, Pierce, he killed them, he recorded it and showed me when they captured me. Tortured me but watching how they tortured my parents and Kay, that was the worst torture anyone could ever go through.” Wanda reached for their hand. “Last year was my first Christmas without them, and I was here alone. Everyone was off with their own families and all I felt was pain and anguish during the time of year we usually enjoy.” They looked into her eyes, stinging with tears that threatened to fall. “I never wanted you to feel what I felt last Christmas.”
“Y/N.” Wanda spoke their name tenderly before she caressed their cheek. “I’m so sorry.”
“It’s ok.” They gave her a smile. “I learned how to live with the pain and I fight everyday so someone else doesn’t have to go through the pain I did.”
“You’re amazing.” Wanda told them honestly as they smiled before turning back to the TV.
The next morning rolled around after the two had fell asleep on the sofa in each other's arms, Y/N woke before Wanda and moved her gently before getting up to make some breakfast for the two. Her gift is already sitting proudly on the counter.
“Hey.” Wanda smiled as she approached Y/N who was cooking pancakes. “Christmas tree pancakes.”
“With cherries.” They beamed as they plated them up for her. “And this is for you.”
“What?” She questioned as she looked at the gift wrapped box. “I never got you anything.”
“Seeing that smile on your face is a gift.” They told her honestly. They watched as she opened it eagerly, her eyes glistened as she spotted the Dick Van Dyke Show box set.
“How did you know?” She asked them as they shrugged.
“I remember Pietro told us about how the two of you loved the show when you were kids.” They told her. “It was one of the things we spoke about before he uh.”
“Thank you.” She whispered as she gave them a hug, their arms instantly wrapped around her waist.
“Dance with me?” They requested as White Christmas played through the speakers. Wanda’s arms moved up around their neck as their hands remained on her hips, both swaying to the gentle rhythm of the song. A smile on Wanda’s face as their breakfast remained untouched.
“Thank you for this.” She told them as she looked up into their eyes.
“You don’t have to say it.” They told her gently. “Just seeing this smile is all the thanks I need.”
“Mistletoe.” Wanda pointed up above them as the two chuckled.
“Stark.” They both spoke in unison before looking back at each other.
“Isn’t that sort of a tradition too?” She asked with her lip between her teeth.
“It is.” They confirmed. “But we don’t.” They were cut off by her lips on their own. Pouring every emotion and feeling into the kiss, the two feeling complete for the first time in their lonely lives.

You can do headcanons about being pregnant with Hope Mikaelson (the reader is her birth mother) and Klaus Mikaelson starting to fall for you and getting jealous whenever Elijah is around you.
Tumblr media
Klaus jealous of Elijah & his prego girl:
Klaus had liked you before he slept with you. Yes it was only a one night stand but he still enjoyed your company so the pregnancy wasn’t the worst case scenario
You two would speak sometimes and you were both very friendly towards each other, you didn’t give him disappointed looks for his choice of actions you simply told him “if you did it for our baby then i’m not going to judge you” that meant a lot to him. It meant that to an extent you trusted him, you trusted your and your baby’s life with him.
It was the day that he had slaughtered a load of witches that had threaten your life that he thought you would think him a monster and yet you sat with your hand on his and looked him right in the eye and said the words that meant everything to him “I’m so proud of you Klaus” he was so overwhelmed by everything that was going on that day that he couldn’t help the tears that slipped down his cheeks
Since that day he couldn’t deny the feelings he had for you, he knew you were right for him, you were going to be the one to love him unconditionally.
But then Elijah started spending more time with you, giving you warm smiled and doing little house tasks to better your day.
Klaus would watch with a deathly glare as Elijah presented you with a cooked brunch. He stormed of the room purposely slamming the door behind him.
He realised maybe he wasn’t being obvious enough for his brother to understand so he decided to stake him claim on you
Arm around you as he walked you around the compound, hand on your thigh or legs on his lap whenever you sat down
A hand would often be found on your growing baby bump or playing with your hair while you read you book or watched TV.
The next few times he spotted Elijah attempting to do anything to you he would snatch the recourses from his hands “leave her be Elijah, she is not yours to care for”
To which Elijah argues “i was under the impression that she was not yours either”
Cue a very harshly whispered argument until you walked in the room for the drink you’d asked for an hour ago “honestly you’d think two originals would manage to grab a glass between them” “sorry love”
A few more months into the pregnancy you had approached Klaus with a request “you know how you like art and our child is gonna be as amazing as you are?” “what is it you would like my love?” “could you paint me while i’m pregnant? i want a reminder of this time and i’d prefer you to paint it than a photo…it means more”
He practically jumped out his seat to drag you to his art room “you should be naked sweetheart it shows your natural form better” you laughed at that and told him next time, instead you wore a simple white dress and he managed to make you look more elegant than you’d ever imagines and the look on your face was the most heartwarming thing he had ever witnessed
He made sure Elijah saw the painting and made a deal out of asking if he could paint you nude soon, you would often play along and ask how he would like you waiting for him. You failed to notice the hitch of his breath and the tent in his pants after that conversation.
Whenever the baby kicked he would kneel before you whispering sweet nothings to your child. He made an extra point of peppering your whole stomach with kisses if Elijah was in the room
Sometimes he would stand behind you, your back to his chest while he gently held you stomach up with his hands carefully placed underneath the bump, he kept the door wide open knowing that you would let out a pleasured sigh or even a light moan at the relief of the weight being lifted. He could hear his brothers growl form the next room and would grin triumphantly
Sometimes Klaus would see how far he could push it. When he knew you were comfortable with him enough sometimes he would give you kisses on your neck, often you assumed them to be playful but it was clear he was marking you when he would suck at you flesh until you moaned his name unconsciously and tilted your head for him. This always happened when you spoke to Elijah too much and you often found yourself purposely doing it so that Klaus would lick and bite at your throat.
When you finally went into labour Klaus made sure nobody else saw you, nobody touched you, nobody spoke to you or got to see the baby for nearly a week. You and your new daughter were his only priorities. You didn’t have to leave your bed at all, he did every single thing you wanted.
One of his favourite tasks was definitely when you wanted to breast feed, he would bring your daughter up to you and would intently watch as you removed your top and moved the blanket to cover yourself “no need to hide yourself sweetheart, it’s only me” he would mutter with a small lick of his lips.
When your breasts felt sore he would immediately come to you aid “let me massage them for you love, you’ll feel much better” “perhaps our little girl isn’t drinking enough, i can feel the milk still, would you like me to drink the rest? might make them feel lighter” you weren’t sure if he was kidding or not but you would still respond with a sarcastic comment which would be cut off with a moan as he rubbed your aching nipples
Eventually he allowed people to come see you and your daughter, Rebekah was over the moon, Kol wasn’t particularly bothered and Elijah learnt that he must be careful with how close he tried to get to what was hid brothers.

Imagine, if you will, a doll.
Growing up, it struggled to fit in. it longed for belonging. Watching TV, watching from the balcony, and at school, everywhere it looked, it saw others playing. Laughing. "Look at them having fun, isn't it nice?" it was told.
But it could only watch.
At night, when the loneliness set in the worst, it would open its window. It would look out into the comforting darkness, reaching out its hand. Reaching out for the stars as they danced among each other, so shiny, so inviting.
But it could only watch.
Eventually, it found out why it never fit in, and it found a new space. A space that promised belonging, understanding. For a moment, it was happy, seeing other dolls, watching them interact and show each other love and kindness.
But it could only watch.
It got to see other entities being invited to play. It got to see them find belonging. Find homes. Find partners. It looked within this space, and without, for someone who would see it. All it wanted was to be seen.
But it could only watch.
It found its way into a house for ones like it. Those who were unseen. Those who felt broken. And for a moment, there was hope. But it wouldn't last long. "Look at that doll! Its witch is playing with it, isn't that beautiful? They're having so much fun."
But it could only watch.
Imagine, if you will, a doll. it is trying so hard to remain composed. to hold back those tears. It's trying so hard to find that happiness for others. It's trying so hard to hold on to love, hold on to hope, but its heart is crumbling.
And it can only watch.

@mikka-minns my dear? Can I tempt you with some...
MK1 Harumi Shirai Headcanons:✨️
Started as a list of Headcanons, but at some point, it became a small story about Harumi and her past.
Enjoy~🩷
The Shirai family was known to be a family of masters. Masters who had trained generations of legendary warriors.
The Shirai women were the most talented fighters, so talented they had caught the attention of another realm. More specifically, Outworld.
The Umgadi invited the Shirai women to train with them and share their skills.
Harumi also was taught the ways of the Umgadi. She was trained by Li Mei. Tanya was her classmate (they used to gossip and discuss who they thought was the prettiest princess, Tanya was very insistent it was Mileena).
The Shirai women were also talented herbalists, healers actually. Plenty of warriors owned them their lives.
Queen Sindel herself had granted the Shirai access to her gardens and their unique specimens of plants. Plants that, when mixed properly, granted miraculous healing properties!
In Outworld, these magical concoctions were seen as blesses. In Earthrealm, however, they were seen as witchcraft, and it did not take long till the Shirai women were deemed as witches.
The Shirai did not let it affect them. They kept their alliance with the Umgadi and Outworld, and they kept fabricating and sharing their concoctions made with Outworld's exotic flora.
They didn't stop helping the Earthrealmers either, even though their assistance wasn't always welcomed nor appreciated as it should.
They didn't stop looking after Earthrealm, but they did grow more careful. From a young age, Harumi was told to be cautious of the outsiders. They did not understand the world as well as they did. Did not understand the power a Shirai woman held.
Harumi was not secluded nor forbidden to interact with the world outside, but she had to be careful. She was taught to be up-to-date with technology, and during most of her childhood, her friends were online.
Her friends would come and go. One day they would log off and never talk to her again. Only one friend remained through all her life, a Chinese boy named Kuai Liang.
They met on a forum online, discussing fictional characters from some random TV show. Then they moved to MSN, where they would talk every day about everything.
Kuai was there for her on her best days and on her worst days. He was a great listener. He would hear her talk about her favourite book, Dune, for hours and hours. He would also listen and comfort her every time she came home, angry and frustrated, for being once again called a witch.
It took her a couple of years to actually build the courage to tell him why she was constantly called witch. She told him the women of her family had "a magical touch," and they could turn any plant into a magical healing potion.
She expected Kuai to disappear after that, to call her insane, or worse, join those who thought she was a witch. But he only told her that he understood. He told her he was cursed. He told her he had literal fire running through his veins while his entire family had ice.
He was different from others, as she was. They bond grew stronger, and whenever they needed an escape, they would seek each other's company.
When they were together, they did not feel alone, out of place. They did not feel like curses or freaks. They felt like they belonged.
As she grew up, Harumi's family started to fade. Her grandparents, aunts, and her beloved parents. Her mother lived a great part of her life as a Umgadi warrior and was buried as such. It was quite a comfort that she got to be buried among the people who loved and accepted her as she was.
When Harumi returned to Earthrealm, she found herself completely alone. The last Shirai. She expected to be alone as she grieved, but a certain boy had other plans.
Kuai Liang had only visited her a couple of times. When he managed to teleport himself to her home in secret from both their families.
He started visiting her more often. There was no one left to keep their relationship in secret from anyway.
Years later, he told her his father was ill, and she offered to heal him. If she could visit him, she was certain she could heal him.
Kuai Liang's older brother, Bi-Han, was adamant in not letting her come. She tried to slip some medicines, but Bi-Han had caught her. He came to her home and told her that though her services were appreciated, they were not necessarily.
"It's almost like you want him to die," she dared say. He was difficult to read, but she could swear she saw pain in his eyes. "He lived a good life, worthy of a warrior, there's no reason to prolongate it," was his answer. He carelessly threw the medicine on her table and left.
She did not hear from Kuai from that day on.
Months later, she heard rumours of a new Grandmaster taking over the Lin Kuei. But heard nothing of Kuai Liang.
Then she heard rumours of disagreements between the new Grandmaster and his second in command, and that was the closest she had heard of Kuai Liang.
She heard rumours of a threat from Outworld and the Lin Kuei conspiring in favour of that threat.
She heard of a war so big that went beyond their realms. She heard of Champions ascending.
She heard the Lin Kuei would no longer assist Earthrealm, they would not be against it, but wouldn't fight for it anymore.
And only then did she hear of Kuai Liang. When he was practically on her doorstep. He had made it to Japan, along with his brother, Tomas Vrbada. They were being hunted down for treason. They needed help. They needed to be saved. And she saved them without an ounce of hesitation.
When Kuai and Tomas started to live with her, it was, honestly, quite awkward. She had grown used to an empty house, and Kuai Liang showing up after months of silence certainly didn't help.
She was not angry at him though, and she still cared for him deeply. One night she would offer to prepare a concoction for the huge scar on his face. It would not make it disappear, of course, but it would help with the pain.
After taking a couple weeks to heal, the former Lin Kuei brothers would start their mission to assemble a clan that would replace the Lin Kuei as part of Earthrealm's defences. Harumi offered to help. And before Kuai could protest, she reminded him of the long history of her family as trainers of legendary champions. She had the experience they only dreamed to have.
The first attempts were a failure, partly because Harumi was rather demanding. She wouldn't train anyone, wouldn't accept anyone. Her students had to be fully committed, if they weren’t they did not even have to bother staying.
Meanwhile, Kuai was worried about his brother. Wondering how he was doing on his own. It was then that he learned that Harumi had something akin to a spy.
Bi-Han did not allow Harumi to send medicines to his father, but allowed her to send it to someone else. Cyrax had recently transitioned, and Harumi's concoctions were of great help! Harumi would willingly deliver her the medicine without any cost, but Cyrax insisted on doing something in return, so Harumi asked: "Keep us informed of Bi-Han’s wellbeing"
Being up-to-date with Bi-Han’s condition certainly eased Kuai Liang's heart. His mood increased greatly, and he started to act more like himself. More like the person Harumi fell in love with years ago.
It was no secret that there was something between the two, but distance always made it difficult to figure it out. Now, sharing the same roof, it all became clearer. They were in love, and slowly and carefully, they started to act of these feelings...
One night, Tomas brought a guest to her home. He insisted that their guest was a child, but Harumi and Kuai could tell from first glance he was an adult, at least 20, but seemingly younger due to malnourishment.
Harumi couldn't quite explain, but there was something about this guest, this Hanzo Hasashi figure. Something... familiar! She felt as if they had already met, but not on this life, no, more likely in another...
I have more headcanons for her, but they might spoil some things I have plans to write, so I'll share only these... for now👀🩷

ONE TIME THING - BELLA RAMSEY (PART5)
Tumblr media
Pictures above are not mine
Summary: unbeknownst to you, you meet actor Bella Ramsey. You two hit it off but your paths lead two different directions.
Bella Ramsey x female reader
Taglist: @evieguhbyebroski @amberputh @assgardangod @niwritespoetry @mainslutsblog @obsessedmunson @guacala @that-one-little-soybean
Warnings: none (?)
A/N- I am sorry this took so long, I've been studying for my exams and only finished them on the 1st. Not proofread.
Part one⬇️
★★
It took you the entire journey home to register what was happening, the moment you stepped into your home the wheels in your brain started turning and you realized you were about to get ready to meet with Bella.
Bella Ramsey. Mildred Hubble. Lyanna Mormont. Bella fucking Ramsey.
You wouldn't ruin this for yourself. You wouldn't over procrastinate or stress so much that you end up convincing yourself not to go. You would calmly get ready and have fun.
You cringed slightly. You knew that wasn't going to happen.
Aware of the time you ran upstairs to your bedroom.
Choosing an outfit has never been a worry before. A graphic tee would be your go-to in this heat, was that too casual? You didn't even know where you were going.
You continued your search.
Your hands dived deeper, everytime they moved another shirt that was one size too small, or a too revealing dress, your determination grew. Simple was the best option. You doubted Bella would show up dressed to the 9's, they seemed more laid back. Your fingers clung to the soft white fabric of a sleeveless tank top. Your head turned to your window. It was sunny today, not a single cloud in the blue sky. Last time you checked it was 21°C, you were sure it had gotten hotter. You decided that would be the top to wear. Standing back from your wardrobe you moved to your drawers.
Pulling the first drawer opened your hands rummaged through the folded trousers until you saw the familiar trusting blue high waisted jeans.
You wanted to put together a fancy outfit, and you were surprised you didn't, but it was just so hot and your mind was still processing today's events.
When your hair was brushed and your eyelashes curled you turned to your mirror. This would have to do. Taking your phone from the desk you checked the time. You were disappointed when you seen you still had plenty time. Bella had texted you an address, which lead to you typing it into Google maps.
The results were a nice looking vegan restaurant, one you had never heard of before and was only a ten minute walk from your home.
A simple lunch. Don't overthink it.
To keep your mind occupied you watched a few of Bella's past interviews. Somewhere along the way you had found one from when they were on the Worst Witch, you had to admit they were adorable and their long hair suited them.
When the interviews weren't enough to keep your anxiety at bay, you decided you would continue reading your book. You were quick to realize the words were not registering in your head.
Sighing you left your room and made your way to the living room to find something to put you at ease.
There wasn't anything worth watching on the tv, food didn't seem appealing as of right now, you didn't even have any chores to do.
Plopping down onto the soft cushions of your couch, your hands rested on you stomach as you tried to relax. You had seen your mum do this after every shift at work, it seemed to help her.
"Ugh" you groaned. You dug your hands into your pocket and pulled out your phone. Relaxing might be your mum's thing, but not yours.
You had a new message from Aaron and two from your sister. You were still mad at your sister so you decided to open Aarons instead.
Tumblr media
You bit your fingernail, a nervous habit you had developed. You hadn't told Aaron about how you had ran into Bella multiple times since sitting beside them on the bus. You didn't know if you should tell him or not.
Aaron was your bestfriend. You told him everything, and trusted him completely. You didn't know why you were so hesitant to tell him.
You didn't want Aaron thinking the situation was anything more than what it was. You stared at the text and thought about your options. Finally your fingers began moving across the keyboard.
Tumblr media
You leaned back into the couch. You hated lying, especially to Aaron.
It wasn't a complete lie anyways, you were almost sure that was why your sister had messaged you. She barely texted you for anything but favours.
You watched the three dots move. What if he knew I was lying?
Tumblr media
You smiled thankful that he didn't seem to pissed.
You spent the next hour scrolling aimlessly, rotating from social media to online clothing stores.
4:48
You jumped from your position on the couch once you realized the time. You wouldn't be late.
Grabbing everything you needed you made your way out of your home, google maps opened on your phone and Mac Miller playing from your earphones.
What would you even say to them? What would you both talk about?
You tried to focus on your music.
With every stop the restaurant got closer and your nerves grew.
Why did you agree to this?
This was way out of your comfort zone.
Suddenly you wished you had told Aaron. He would give you shitty advice, but it always managed to calm you.
You guessed what he might say if he were with you.
You won't be able to marry them if you can't go on one single date.
Pretend its Granny.
If you don't want to talk or don't know what to say, shove your mouth with as much food as possible.
Pretend you don't speak English
Maybe it was for the better that your best friend wasn't here.
You sighed, the music was becoming annoying so you took your earphones out and safely tucked them into your trousers pocket. The restaurant was up a head, you could just about see it so the Google maps wasn't in need anymore.
You fiddled with your hands, sometimes your finger would play with one of the many bracelets on your arm.
Please don't be awkward
Don't mess it up
You calmed your breathing.
The restaurant was nice. It was a red brick building with a large wooden door. Flowers were overgrown from their plant pots above the door and at the bottom of the building. Ivy was growing on the side.
From the large windows you could see the wooden floor and tables inside. The fairy lights creating a soft glow. There were a couple of people inside, not completely busy.
You passed a red fiat car parked at the side and made your way to the wooden door and inside.
Here goes nothing
Pushing the door open your eyes began searching for the familiar brunette.
"hello miss, how can I help you?"
You looked to the smiling waiter.
You smiled back, "I'm fine, just looking for a friend." The waiter nodded.
You then seen those dark messy curls, black t-shirt that had writing you couldn't make out. Their head was ducked as they typed on their phone but you knew it was Bella.
You slowly walked over.
"hope I didn't keep you waiting too long."

Tumblr media
Bella sighed. They didn't know why the person they chose to confide in was the 40 year old man who still was mentally 13 years old.
"walked right into that one." Bella muttered.
They didn't want to admit it, but they arrived twenty minutes early, hoping time would speed up and you would be here already. That wasn't the case. It only gave them more time to stress. Bella began typing out their response.
"hope I didn't keep you waiting too long."
Bella's head snapped up from their phone to the voice, to you.
In that moment Bella felt all air leave their lungs. They didn't know what to say or how to say it.
★ ★
You watched as Bella's confused face disappeared and a smile formed on their lips.
"Hi" Bella breathed out.
You chuckeld at their nervous state.
"hi" you replied back as you took your seat across from them.
It was silent for a moment, but it wasn't an awkward or uncomfortable silence. You both took the time to take in each other. All your previous meetings felt rushed and observed, but right now it felt like time slowed. The few people in the restaurant weren't paying any mind to the two of you.
Bella put their phone away and sat straighter.
"you know, I was worried you wouldn't show up. Actually I think it's concerning that you did. I am basically a stranger after all." Bella teased.
You faked offence.
"you know your right. I think I should get going-"
As you turned your body in your chair and was about to stand up you felt another hand on top of your own from across the table.
The feeling of their cold rings on your warm skin sent goosebumps all along your body.
You turned to look at Bella's hand holding yours and then to their grinning face.
"you wouldn't." Bella squinted their eyes and you could see their lips were trying to conceal their laugh.
"oh I would." You threatened teasingly. You turned to the table beside you, "but man does the food look good here."
Bella finally let out the laugh they were trying to contain. Their hand left yours and suddenly you wished you had savoured the feeling of it more.
You sat back into your seat. The same waiter who had greeted you at the door walked over to your table, pen and paper in hand. He smiled at the both of you.'eric' his name tag read.
You quickly opened the menu and scanned through your options whilst Bella told the waiter what they wanted.
You decided on the Vegan carbonara pasta.
"I'll have that brought out for you in a few minutes"
The waiter left and it was just you and Bella again.
"how long have you been working at the café?" Bella was the first to start the conversation.
You pondered the answer in your head."I'm not sure exactly, can't be over a year though. It's only until I start college."
Bella listened intently to every word you spoke. They gave you their undivided attention.
Once you finished talking about your hopes for college you decided to ask Bella a question.
"aren't you studying environmental science?"
Bella raised a brow, that familiar grin back on their lips."were you stalking me online?"
You scoffed. Their teasing tone and their face full of pride making you embarrassed.
"No" you mumbled as you drank the water from your glass.
Bella laughed, "you definitely were."
"you would do the same if I were super famous!"
Bella laughed again at your words.
"oh definitely"
Your food was eventually brought out. Bella and you ate, still you chatted about each of your lives and what you had in common. You had to admit it was probably one of the best conversations you've ever had.
The food was ate and time had passed, the sky had darkened and the restaurant gradually emptied, only a few lingering at the bar area.
It never got awkward between you and Bella, no silences. You found talking to them easy, always having something to say and them having a response.
But all good things had to end.
You glanced at the clock on the wall across from you.
You knew it was meant to be raining later and you didn't want to have to walk in it or the dark either.
Bella must've noticed your disappointment.
-
Bella noticed your eyes wander to the wall behind them, knowing there was a clock there due to the amount of times they had visited the restaurant.
Their cheeks flushed in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry if I've kept you too long, I didn't notice the time move by." Bella apologized. They rubbed their hands on their thighs, a habit that came with nerves.
"no-no it's not that, I walked here and I'm aware it might rain later." You explained. "I wouldn't mind staying longer. I've had fun. Getting to know you and all "
Bella smiled. No one would ever know that inside their heart was about to explode from their chest, and their mind was coming up with thousands of scenarios and hidden meanings to your words.
"I'll walk you" the words left Bella's mouth before they could register what they were saying. They don't know why they said it, but part of them was glad they did because they knew normally they would never have the courage to ask.
You stared. You didn't know how to respond.
"yeah sure-i'd like that." You smiled.
Fuck you and your awkwardness! You thought to yourself .
Before you knew it both of you were exiting the restaurant together after dividing the check.
Bella was reluctant to let you pay even a penny, but you could be stubborn.
Bella paid no mind to their car as both of you passed it. They didn't want to tell you they drove here and could easily drive you back to your home, because that would mean they would have to say goodbye to you sooner, and they wanted to stall that as much as possible.
Bella walked with their hands in their pockets and you with your arms at your side.
The walk was quiet for the most part, bella would sometimes tell a cringy joke or recall a funny story from working on set. You enjoyed listening to them talk.
Bella didn't notice how close you were getting to your home, but you did. You wanted to be selfish and stall for as long as possible to avoid saying that dreaded goodbye.
"I'm glad I accepted your offer to get to know you better. " You avoided eye contact, choosing to play with your bracelet.
"I'm glad you did too." Bella smiled at you and watched you fiddle nervously. You met their eyes briefly before looking away, Bella's smile widened.
"I have interviews and meetings for majority of the week except Friday, maybe we could meet again?" Bella asked almost shyly, they felt like a kid again the way they got all giddy inside.
You frowned. "As much as I would love to, I'm meeting with an old friend on Friday." You apologized.
Bella masked their disappointment with a smile
"another time?"
"absolutely."
The rest of the walk to your home was quiet.
"I'd invite you inside but I don't want you walking in the rain." You said when you reached the door of your house.
"I wouldn't be able to stay long anyways, I have an early appointment tomorrow." Bella reassured you.
It was silent until bella spoke up again
"I had fun today. Text me, yeah?"
You agreed to and the both of you said your goodbyes when you couldn't stall it anymore.
The smiles on both your faces remained long after you said your goodbyes.

Logical Story Setting Doesn't Work
Anonymous asked: I was having trouble picking ideas. I made two different versions for my story, just to see what would be the better book. I really liked both, so I made a pro-con list. I still really like both, but one version makes more sense than the other and I think it's the one I should go with. Just one con that's a dealbreaker for me: logically it would be set around the 1500s. Maybe even earlier. And I'm not really a fan of that. I can't explain much, but this story is dependent on another story I'm writing. I don't want to give up the connection between the books, and I don't want to go with the worse version with the weak plot. But I'm not interested in the 1500s and it seems like heck of a lot of research. I doubt readers won't notice the timeline being a little funny if I just choose any setting I want.
(Ask has been edited for length...)
This is definitely a tough one, and unfortunately, you don't seem to have a lot of options. You either bow to fate and let the story be set in the 1500s, or you find a way to beef up the plot that isn't set in the 1500s. Let's talk through some options for both.
1 - Try to Get Interested in the 1500s - It isn't much fun to research and write about a time period you're not interested in, so it's worth seeing if there's a way to get interested. Watching movies or TV shows set in a similar time and place to your setting can help you get interested in a time period. Some shows and movies set in the 1500s: The Tudors, The Spanish Princess, Anne of the Thousand Days, The Other Boleyn Girl, Reign, Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Shakespeare in Love, Wolf Hall, Kingdom, A Discovery of Witches, Magnificent Century, Jodha & Akbar, Amaya... If your story is set somewhere not represented above, you can Google that location and "1500s" or "16th century."
2 - Find a Way to Move it Forward - Such a big part of writing is taking the time to brainstorm (and do a little brute forcing sometimes) to get things in our story to work right. It isn't fast, and it isn't particularly fun, and you could spend days trying to make something work, but sometimes that's just how writing is. Sometimes, you just treat the problem like a Rubik's Cube and you work it until it's solved. Odds are good if you really set your mind to it, you can find a way to make a later time period make sense.
3 - Fake It 'Til You Make It - Another option in that same vein is to just start writing the story in whatever time period you like better. Don't worry about it making sense, just start writing. If you're lucky, something will just click while you're writing and pave the way for you to make the preferred time period make sense. Worst case scenario, you'll have a better understanding of the story's needs and that may help you adjust the time period to something that works better.
4 - Strengthen the Weak Plot - Although you describe the non-1500s version as "the worse version with a weak plot," you also said you still really like it, and there must have been some pros for this version, so I think this idea is probably salvageable. Once again, it's gonna take some brute force to figure out what needs to happen to make it work, but this may be the better path. You can also try the "fake it 'til you make it" option with this one and see where it goes. It's often easier to improve a story once you know for sure what it's going to be.
5 - Look for a Third Option - As much as it may not seem ideal, it's just possible that there's a third option out there that bridges the gap between option one and option two. It's always worth taking the time to brain storm--go the Rubik's Cube route again--and puzzle it out until something hopefully clicks.
Hopefully one of these options will work for you!

ive been thinking about witch!steve nonstop since reading this so @intothedysphoria this is dedicated to you for giving me brain worms :)
-
Magic is a sensory nightmare.
That's something they never dwell on in the books, and the TV series, and the movies. It's always this amazing, beautiful thing that, sure, takes a lot of effort but is just so rewarding when mastered. And in all the media magic is cutesy and sweet...
That's not what magic is like, though, and Steve hates it. He hates it because all of his friends wish they were witches, or that they could join a coven for the found family vibes they see in their shows. But that's not what it's like! At least not from Steve's perspective.
"That's bullshit," Steve scoffs, scowling at the screen of whatever today's rom-com is called.
Carol loves a good rom-com, or a bad one, or a mediocre one. He's not even sure if it's ironic, or if it's maybe just to wind him up. But he's so often popped down on her sofa, watching a witch who was definitely not written by an actual magic user stumble through their little meet-cute. Because it's always witches, and it always has been since Carol bought herself a set of tarot cards when they were twelve to see if she had some psychic abilities because 'you don't know that I wasn't adopted and am secretly the long lost daughter of a powerful witch'.
She wasn't, she isn't, and Steve thinks magic-centred rom-coms are the worst thing to ever be invented.
Carol just shushes him, eyes glued to the screen like this is the most interesting thing she's ever seen. And maybe objectively this isn't the worst movie she's forced him to sit through, but it's still grinding his gears.
"But it is! It's bullshit. Messing up a spell doesn't do that."
"Shut up, Steve. It's because she's thinking about Mick, so her subconscious is making the spell pull him towards her."
"But that's not how magic works. A spell doesn't suddenly just turn someone into a magnet because they're thinking about someone else."
Carol lets out a frustrated groan.
Fine, maybe Steve is ruining Carol's fun a bit but it's just so infuriating. Because magic is a sensory nightmare, and fucking up spells is a pain rather than a metaphorical (or sometimes literal; and if Carol ever tries to make him rewatch 'The Valentine's Spell' again he will never talk to her again) cupids arrow come to match them up with their apparent soulmate.
Casting a spell has always been one of Steve's least favourite things. The feeling starts in his hands (because, no, Carol, wands are never a real thing witches use and that's frankly an offensive stereotype that he could infodump the whole history of) as the magic starts to build. Before long the feeling is tingling along his whole arms, taking over their feeling with the force of the spell. And, depending on what spell is being cast, they might go hot, or cold, or heavy, or numb, or shaky. None of those are fun sensations, and therefor casting a spell is not fun and cute and rom-com worthy.
That's without touching on the power building up in his chest, making his heartbeat loud in his ears. And then if one messes a spell up, that energy might burst out potentially dangerously (if the spell is a big one) or simply burrow itself beneath his skin leaving him antsy and stressed and horribly overstimulated and understimulated at the same time.
Really, the fact that the whole ordeal of casting a spell is so unpleasant is the main reason that Steve is such a spectacularly bad witch. He point blank refused to go to any lessons when younger and turned away all his mom's attempts at teaching him herself. He just hated the way it felt. That's the reason he only uses his magic for simple things, and only to prevent a power buildup that a more magically inclined witch may find favourable but that to him just gives the feeling of bugs creeping under his skin.
When he next goes to open his mouth, though, Carol kicks him from her place sprawled on the other side of the sofa. He takes that as his cue that it's time to shut up and just lets Carol watch her garbage.
The movie doesn't get any better.
By the time it's finally over, Steve's impatient scowls at the television had gotten bad enough that Carol just dumped him outside of her place with a harsh goodbye. It's dramatic enough to make him scoff, even though he knows it's 80% an act on Carol's part. She not-so-secretly loves making him suffer through these things, and must find his annoyed commentary at least a little bit amusing to keep dragging him around to watch these things the way she does.
Lost in thought, Steve his halfway home by the time he realises his keys aren't in his pocket.
"Shit," he hisses under his breath.
Great. That’s just great. His parents are off on a business trip again, which is just his luck. Those things are pretty infrequent so of course they’d be out the one time he loses his keys.
And they are lost because Steve had made a panicked grab for them as Carol shoved him out, realising the woman was not going to wait for him to put on his shoes, let alone come back inside to get them. So, he had them when he began the trek home. But they’re not in his pocket now; ergo, he lost them on the way.
With a despondent sigh, Steve turns around and resigns himself to the search for them. It was about time he actually practiced a spell, anyway, he reasons to himself as he begins tracing symbols on the back of his hands and watching the skin there glow. And… there it is. The tingling and the warmth starts up and Steve has to grit his teeth to ignore the way he wants to never touch anything again.
The numbness has crept up to his wrists and his basic tracking spell is almost complete when he collides with the chest. Magic pounds in his chest and the sound of his heartbeat echoes that with a rush of blood in his ears. With a snap, the spell breaks away from him and bursts out, fuelled by the sparking reserves of magic that had built up in him over the last few weeks of refusing to conjure so much as a flicker of light.
Well, shit.
He feels it, when his magic finds something else supernatural to twine itself with, coaxed on my the half-formed potential of a tracking spell. It’s like it hits something solid and forces itself into any cracks and crevices it can find, getting itself stuck there.
When the energy dissipates and Steve can breathe again, he looks up into the glowing golden eyes of the werewolf he slammed face first into. That’s when Steve thinks he might owe Carol and her shitty witch movies an apology, because it turns out maybe magic can turn someone into something like a magnet. It seems like he’s magically tied himself to none other than Billy Hargrove.
