Shoutout to Christine Stoddard, my amazing friend and collaborator! ❤️ She wrote and directed Mi Abuela, Queen of Nightmares, which just finished its run at The Tank in NYC. What a theatrical gem! 🤩 I edited the story and poems featured in this play, and seeing her words come to life was glorious. ✨ As the founding editor of Quail Bell Magazine, she always has been an innovator and all-around great person. 💖

I'm finally trying to get more cultural with theater but now they're having major issues with keeping the plays going cause of costing already they are-have shut down two plays: Phantom of the Opera (which I longed to see 😭) and now Cinderella

Andrew Lloyd Webber is very concerned for the future of theater if this keeps on going it may be gone forever

today was my day

the theater teacher asked us who created theater arts, some girls said romans, the teacher said it was close. silence. then my pjo obsessed ass says "the greeks, right? they even had a god for theater called dionysus!" and lo and behold I was correct my classmates looked so confused it gave me a sense of pride. this wil forever be one of my proudest moments.

I work at a movie theater.

And personally? To be in the tickets booth, and see young girls, teenagers, adult women, coming in to see Barbie,

the most highlighter pink outfits, some of them coming in with the dolls they’re dressed as, laughing to each other, cheering for each other,

to see the men they’re coming to see it with, dressed in pink, cheering them on, taking their pictures with smiles and cheers in the lobby at the photo op

touches something so deep in me

I can’t say any nuances of the movie that haven’t already been said, but like, fuck man, love is so deep and so kind and to be able to see glimpses of it from behind my little ticket desk makes me a little less nihilistic.

i think we should talk about how FUCKING sad it is to not get your dream role in musical plays theaters etc. so in this school play i really wanted to do this one girl ever since we discussed the whole lesson

and they gave me another role instead which I should be thankful but still :') it hurts and i wanted that role from the start but ig there's some things that aren't really for us
