The merchants at the coast wanted nothing more than to offload the cargo they brought from further southwest. The sooner the dockworkers got everything onto the wagons, the sooner they could start hauling it to Kai and receive payment from the Takeda Clan.

None of them were prepared to find an ornate foreign ship shattered upon the rocks. Among the wreckage they found a few valuables but most surprisingly, a woman. Human as far as they could tell. Beautiful, with pale skin and long pastel hair crusted with salt from the sea. Water soaked her clothes, her lips parted as she took yet another soft breath.

So they hauled her out of the doomed ship, no other survivors to be found, and tossed her on the back of a cart among the goods they were to transport. The Takeda Clan were the most influential family in the area. If anyone was to know what to do with a strange foreign woman, it would be one of the foremost lords in Shinga.

The cart rattled along for a few days, the merchants occasionally stopping to give the unconscious woman a little bit of water. When they arrived outside Tsutsujigasaki Castle, one informed the soldiers at the gate of the situation while the others began to offload the goods for the last time this trip.

As her limp body was scooped into strong arms, swaying gently as she was carried inside, shouting could be heard. A commanding voice, barking orders. Frustration, concern, and shock lingering behind the firm words.

Takeda Shingen held her close, left with no choice but to take this stranger into his home. She did not smell quite human, but the shallowness of her breaths scared him. He would not let her die. From the merchant's story, she had already survived so much. No way in hell he would let her meet her end on his doorstep.

You being with me is enough," she assured him with a soft giggle.

Augustine lets out a disgruntled churr from his throat that his mate teased him ever so lovingly as she usually did. "I seek to harm no one." He reminds her gently. "I know what my appearance does for people... I will be mindful of it going forward." If people preferred him being human, then he would play the part. That being said, it didn't take long for the dragon to take on said form so he could gently brush some of Guew's hair out of her eyes. "You seem better with the warmer days coming. How do you feel, however?"

-- Let’s Talk 2022 // Restrospect Talk

Let’s be honest; this year was mixed. It was a hella of a ride for some people or just eh. There was no in-between, but to be fair, at least it wasn’t 2021, which, by far, was the worst year since 2020. As for me, this year I felt like I discovered a bunch of myself that I didn’t realize and it was mostly thanks to the people that came and went from my life this year and those that stayed ( and some experiences that I would chalk up to as pure... what the hell or fate. There is again, no in between. )

I think some of my best experiences were being able to discover Genshin Impact and Final Fantasy 14 as well as leaving Red Dead Online behind except for the few small occasions and the introduction of a new generation of Pokemon on top of that ( although to be honest... the games are a lackluster 5 out of 10 with how badly they perform. The rest is open for opinion. ) Also getting the chance to reconnect with some people and tackle some new problems head-on... yeah, it’s been I don’t think i’ll soon forget.

But let’s get to the meat and potatoes; I want to talk about the people.

First off, I want to talk about my family. My IRL one. So it hasn’t been the best ride in the beginning... but towards the latter half? Things have been better. It’s been stable, and that’s all I can say on that. Although some people are a bit worse than others... 

Second off, let’s talk about some specific people, with coming in first, I gotta give to the guy who’s stuck with me through it all ( it feels like ) and is stubborn enough to pull me to my senses; @dimensionhoppinghybrids ... you’re basically the brother i’ve never had. We may live worlds apart but you are my brother. I’m happy that I got to meet you and that you took a chance on me ( and my characters ) even if i’m a bitchy mess tbh. Thank you for sticking with me and I really hope we get to have many more fun years talking together and one day I swear I will visit your homeland and bug you to take me out for archery and show me all the cool places! ( get it, cool, caus you live in somewhere below zero, ha... no? ok. )

Second, I want to throw out a shoutout to @missninetails and @night-gladion-and-their-ghosts​ . I got to reconnect with you guys and i’m happy I did. I’m proud of you sis in particular for achieving one of your many dreams and hope you get to achieve even more in the following year. Wolf, i’m glad we got to talk and write together and I hope that you get an even better year then the last.

Third, i’d like to throw out a shout to those that i’ve known for a little while who put up with my writing and things I send them even if we don’t talk that much ( which I need to change orz ); @aotoreiki​ @xxyumeno​ @thebloomingrosefamily​ @ammako​ @yugenronin​ @multiverseofmischief​ @kurisu-uzune​ @starikune . You guys are gems and I look forward to talking and or writing with you guys more in the future. Fourth; It’s time for those new great people that I met this year but are already absolute gems for putting up with me; @aevisong​ @pokemon-experiments​ @electric-ecclectic​ @moonlitsorceress​ . Y’all are awesome and I hope we can plot and write more together in the following year! I’m excited to get to know y’all more as well.

And a special shoutout to @moonlit-maiden​ for being that one person who has been pushing me in the right direction with tips and everything else on my weight loss journey. I hope you get to publish your book soon and when it is you bet your ass i’m buying me a copy!

This has been long and obnoxious I am sorry but I had a lot to say and I just... I just really love you guys okay? Anyway, have a good one and try not to overdo it on New Years ( but also drink one for me yeah? )

So while talking @thebloomingrosefamily we thought of HOW FUCKIN CLOSE Yun was to being raised by Jinhai and Shangti in the Jade Palace. To put it in perspective, Zhilan and Azure were thinking of giving Yun to Jinhai because of what was happening within the clans. And I mean, neither parent trusted not only their own respective clan but the other as well to take care of Yun if anything ever happened to them.

They were going to give him to someone from Azure's side, the only other dragon who defied his own father, to RAISE their baby boy.

And then came along Sai Gong who threw that plan out the window. But guys, just run with me on this.

Imagine Yun actually being raised by people who love him and don't hold him to the same standards as his twin sister. Yun still would have found a way to Hell and be with Beelzebub, but he wouldn't have been so broken.

Just a fun thought to give you guys and just...yes this could have happened!!

Domestic...

Kou wiped sweat from his forehead and adjusted his glasses in place after placing the last box into the moving van. He had packed most of his belongings in boxes; now loaded inside the van as he was ready to live somewhere else than the small apartment above his cafe.

Sure, he could still stay there when ever it would be nesessary, but that lodgings was of a single man's, not for a person whom was pursuing domestic bliss with beloved one. Thus it meant he was moving. Moving in with someone.

Sighing to himself, checking once again that he had everything in the car he turned around to lock the doors.

It was not that he was saying goodbye to this place. He would be back as soon as the next morning to open the cafe and bakery, but he was saying goodbye to the style if living he had come accustomed to. And he had no regrets so far, quite the contrary. He has exited to enter the nezxt stage of the relationship.

Koutaro shook his head and then chuckled before he hopped inside the rented moving van. Opening the radio he listened the first few beats of a song playing as he started the car.

He had been in the house many times before, knew how to get there by heart, but this was the first time he would drive there as someone else than a guest. He was nervous, but exited.

He would move in with Guew, the woman who had made everything feel right again.

Augustine met Guew during her stay initially in stumbling upon the forest, even if it was brief. It would be him who was set as a liaison between the two worlds by Pan and as time passed, he would grow fond of the Witch -- so much so that he found himself visiting just to visit and no other reason intended. He also grew fond of her two children, Jack and Rosetta, being reminded of his own daughter who he had been forced to leave behind and likely to never see again.

In time, something sparked between him and Guew and following that, a lengthy courtship which ended in their marriage, uniting the two realms and Jack and Rosetta being privy to the knowledge of the forest, as well as the only real human family wanted and liked in the forest as a whole as they were now Augustine's family.

Augustine shows a softer side with Guew and their two children, always there to listen or provide what comfort he could. He chooses to live between both worlds and continue his job as well.

Oh... that certainly wasn’t a face he was expecting to see, but thankfully it wasn’t Sa’mir or Zeus.  “Ah I’m just taking a walk really, nothing big... Who are the closest friends you have here? :D

Well the most obvious one is @akumanoken since we talk on and off Tumblr and met irl more than once (she is as amazing as you think she is <3333) and @fatestouch because we are also married UwU

There's two who I talked to a lot and became pretty good friends with but they aren't active anymore here (one I have no idea if she even has a d.iscord and the other we've drifted apart but it was fun while it lasted) @shaman-alexei and Mercy (Hank's wife)'s mun (idk she might've deactivated her tumblr and I feel really awkward talking to her on d.iscord now because like I said we drifted apart)

But! There's two fairly recent people I've started talking to and they're a hoot I hope they consider us friends @take-ya-to-the-ghey-bar and @liroyalty Love you guys!

Edit: I forgot to add the ones that send me the most cat memes and posts etc etc @s1lxcs and @thebloomingrosefamily you two make my days a little more bearable with all the kitties *finger hearts*

     Audrey took another sip of his coffee before returning to his writing, a scattering of paper and notebooks ha[haphazardly decorating his table and the seat next to him. His regular coffee shop was unusually quiet that day, meaning he could concentrate on writing another chapter instead of people watching all day. Before he could get engrossed in his manuscript again, he rose his gaze, eyes searching, curious. 

     He felt... Followed, watched. He tried to ignore the pestering feeling, but it came back. Again and again. As he looked around the place one more time, he found the culprit. His gaze pinned the man’s while a furrow decorated his features. Could he please stop staring, the writer wanted to bark in the other’s direction, but he was sure the guy wouldn’t have heard him.
