We did it! Emaline and Mary Frank join the ranks with Joseph and Fonda as graduates of The Haden Institute Dream Work Program! 18 months, 17 books, 6 5-day intensives, 6 dream leading sessions, a spiritual autobiography and a final project. Happy birthday (one day late!) to beloved Fonda!💕💫 Fonda is a Dream Work and Spiritual Direction practitioner at TLC, and helps run our Jungian Dream Group in Frankfort at TLC and at The Haden Institute in North Carolina (where Fonda, Mary Frank, Joseph and Emaline all got their Dream Work Certifications!). Right now we are still on COVID hiatus, but hopefully everyone is still dreaming and getting in touch with their spiritual selves! ✨She has such a gentle but knowledgeable way of allowing dreams, inner work and symbolism to bring meaning from the depths and into your life! Some of my biggest “ah ha’s!” and life’s guidance have come from dreams (including the name “The Light Clinic”- which came to me in a dream when Joe and I were finishing our Masters in Portland!). Ever since Olivia was born, art has come back in our life in a big way. 🎨 When she was really little I did nightly quick Mandalas at the suggestion of my Dream Mentor, Joyce Rockwood Hudson (if you all don’t know her you should check out her Jungian dream books and also lectures through The Haden Institute- she is amazing). Then later with Olivia we did a lot of finger painting, then marker work chalk work crayon work paint work— all the works (you guys with artsy kids know what I mean). Art is such an amazing way to self express, explore the inner depths, and have fun. I was definitely one of those people that as an adult said: “I can’t draw. I can’t do art.” And happily over these past few years that feeling has softened and allowed the fun and beauty to come out.✨ . . Are you all doing lots of art projects at home? Personally or with your kids? Sometimes I feel like just sitting in my backyard watching nature with a cup of tea is a form of art:) Anyone else? . . And we have a free guided Art Therapy video coming soon from the amazing Janet Osborn, MA, ATR-BC. Janet has been practicing Art Therapy over 30 years with children and adults, and is an all star.
