The way Echo is always ready to help Rex. How he’s always willing to trust Rex. How he knows Rex is someone he can rely on. How he always looks happier and more engaged when Rex is around.
Just. Echo and Rex.

the more i look back at it, the more this finale is my favorite, because literally just like jon and dave said, it wraps up the whole arc. no, i’m sorry to the jedi and luke, whom i love very much, but i wouldn’t have been fullfilled by a story where grogu and din get separated at the end of their journey: talking about the people who are like “this show should have ended on s2″ but like, it wasn’t their time to say goodbye, that’s all. s3 tho, literally so many things set in motion on 1x01 come to place, so many parallels, so much growth from din djarin and grogu. the way the whole setting of the show radiate light and beauty and life, compared to the beginning of the first episode, where din wanders alone on an ice planet, walks into the darkest fcking bar possible. now it’s warm, it’s happy, it’s light, because he’s not alone, and grogu is not alone. and these two orphan children found a place with each other, safety and comfort with each other, they grew with each other and because of each other. how the end of s3 adds so much to that small moment at the end of 1x01 when their hands reach towards the other. it feels like it was meant to be, grogu and din against the whole galaxy.

A lot of pop psychology gets thrown around and since I already have a headache, here's preventing you lot from making it worse.
Love-bombing: A manipulation tactic of increasing affection and grand gestures before or after doing something abusive, specifically to weasel one's way out of consequences.
What it is not: A streak of affection and generosity towards friends/loved ones.
Trauma-bonding: Knowingly traumatizing someone to take advantage of their vulnerable state, to then act like the "hero" or the one who cheers them up.
What it is not: Bonding over similar traumas.
Gaslighting: *Knowingly* convincing someone they cannot trust their own perception of a situation in pursuit of one's own narrative.
What it is not: Misaligned perception of events.
Narcissist: Someone afflicted with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, a traumagenic cluster B disorder, that struggles with self-obsession, paranoia, craving validity from the public, delusions of grandeur, and social disconnection.
It is not: Your rubbish ex that cheated on you.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Annabeth: I, a child, had to earn Thalia’s love, that’s how the world works! I have to earn my moms love. Love is transactional, you gotta be worthy of it first silly :)

I can’t tell you how much I love this artwork from ancient Egypt (the Middle Kingdom). People have been raising cattle and practicing animal husbandry for so long, that there is something almost inherently human about this scene.
Everyone in the field of veterinary medicine or agriculture knows the feeling of staying up late with a laboring animal trying to make sure both mom and baby are okay. Delivering a calf is often physically and emotionally exhausting work that takes enormous patience and learned skill. It requires a unique balance of physical strength and gentleness to do correctly. There is no feeling quite like getting that baby out and everyone is okay. I’m certain ancient people must have felt the same way, and I wonder if the artist knew this feeling firsthand. I wonder if those humans depicted were people the artist knew, if the cow and calf maybe were as well.

zany to me how these um actually nihilists like to pretend that "um actually love/friendship/cooperation/kindness isn't real bc we evolved that way to benefit ourselves as a species..." um YES? that's also where tool use comes from? that's where cooking comes from? am i supposed to think social bonds & tool use & cooking aren't "real" because they evolved over time instead of appearing fully formed from the ether?
sorry u can't enjoy things. im a superior being twirling a fork in my bowl of delicious noodles whilst staring in adoration at the world
