Also now that my beloved mutual @redactedbutch reached his urgent goal, here is
Nomi's banger Hot Chocolate
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 and a half tablespoon of cornstarch (optional)
Pinch of salt
Drop of vanilla
Measure out your cup of milk and pour it into your mug. Pour some of that milk into a small bowl.
In the small bowl add your cornstarch and mix well. You MUST NOT SKIP THIS STEP unless you want cornstarch clumps in your hot chcoolate
Put the rest of the milk in a small saucepan. Add the rest of your ingredients to said saucepan. Turn saucepan on medium heat and stir until no clumps form. Keep stirring so you don't get burnt cocoa powder on the bottom of the pan
Once it starts smoking, add your cornstarch slurry and STIR!!!! It'll look like nothing is happening, but eventually you will get a slightly thicker hot chocolate. Once heated to your liking, turn the heat off and pour into your mug of choice.
Now you can stop there, but every hot chocolate needs a whipped cream. This does work better if you use a darker cocoa powder (hershey's special dark is great), but regular is still fine.
1/4th cup of heavy whipping cream
1 TEASPOON (not tablespool) of Powdered sugar
Salt and HONEY to taste.
Pour your heavy whipping cream into a bowl and, using a hand mixer or a whisk, beat until soft peaks. Then, add your powdered sugar, salt, and honey and keep beating. That gives you honey Salt whipped cream
Serve this to anyone and they will NEVER do anything to piss you off.
Ivy still needs to get more funds though, so once that goal is reached, I'll post my brownie recipe that was so good my friend told me "if I was not in a committed relationship right now, I would marry you on the spot." After they ate it.

three. hats and mitts. calum hood.
a/n: day three of 25! have some cute boyfriend cal. that's all i have to say about this. as always, if you have any ideas/things you want to see, dont be shy to send a suggestion for a tiny blurb.
---
"you made it?" calum asked out loud, brown eyes flicking up to loo at the girl sitting across the table of the coffee shop. she gave a shrug, cheeks flishing with color as she sat quietly. she had two choices. she could nod and give him that shy smile she'd given him the day they'd met a few months ago, or she could tell him the truth about the whole thing.
she watched as his fingers ran over the soft wool, tracing the intricate patterns of the black and white stripes of the scarf he held in his hands. she wanted to badly to take credit for the gift; to tell him that yes, she had made him something with her own two hands. she could only imagine the way his smile would brighten the whole room if he had even thought that. she couldn't do it. she couldn't let even the smallest of lies escape from her lips; not where he was concerned.
nose wrinkling, she offered a sheepish smile and shook her head.
"i wish i was that talented but honestly, apparently when i knit i only pearl and i can't get my fingers to move the right way? but um, i did have it made for you. my grandma did it. actually." she paused, face flishing again as she reached toward the warm cup of hot cocoa in front of her, hands wrapping around it on either side and lidting it so she could smell it. it was still too hot to drink, but cool enough to be comfortable on her cold hands.
"she wanted me to ask if you wanted the matching hat and mittens," she spoke before taking another deep breath of the sweet chcoolate smell, then moving to set the cup down in front of her. "i mean, i told her not to go overboard and, that, like, it might be-"
"fuck yeah i want them," he interrupted her, cheeks high on his face as he grinned, eyes disappearing a little as they crinkled in the corners.
ahw breathed a sigh of relief, the anxiousness she felt about him knowing that her grandma knew how smitten she was letting go. though, she supposed, it wasn't something he'd be able to tell just from the fact that her grandma wanted to knit him mats and mittens and scarves. but something about the way calum looked at her made her feel like he could see every single part of her insides; like she had no defenses; her walls busted down one by one in such a short period of time.
a moment later saw her own smile as she nodded her head.
"i'll tell her you said yes. i'm pretty sure she already made them," she admitted sheepishly.
"i can't believe you didn't think i'd want them all," he mused, reaching up and setting his new scarf down around his neck as he reached forward for the cookie on his plate. "you know how sick it is someone wants to make me hats and mitts? fuckin feels good, babe,"
"good," she nodded her head, reaching out to break off a piece of her own cookie as she stared at him with a smile on her face. "i wish i could actually make you them,"
"you still got them for me, it's just as good," his assurance comes without hesitation, nodding his head with a mouthful of cookie, bringing the scarf up and rubbing it on his cheek. "wouldn't mind if the hat and mitts came smelling like you, though."
