“But what if they don’t like me?”
“Babe, relax. They’ll love you.”
Jace stroked your arm lovingly as you sat on his dorm room bed, nerves and anxiety nearly eating you alive.
You were in the middle of finals, and not only that, Jace’s family had decided to come up for the weekend and visit him before winter vacation.
Every year, he usually travelled back overseas to be with them, but this year his family decided to stay in the United States and celebrate the holidays over here.
As his girlfriend, you were understandably worried because it meant that you’d be meeting them for the first time. Jace tried to reassure you that your fears didn’t matter, and that they’d love you despite what you thought, but you simply weren’t convinced.
“But what if they hate me?” You continued, chewing on your lip as you looked at him. “What if…what if they think I’m too…American or something?”
“What? Too American?” Jace snorted. “What does that even mean?” You groaned.
“It means they might hate me, or my accent, and they might try and set you up with a British girl or something, I don’t know.”
To your displeasure, Jacaerys merely laughed which made you pout.
“Jace! This is serious!” You whined at him, smacking his arm playfully. He shook his head.
“Like I said, they will love you and they will be very excited to see you. Especially my mother. She’s been dying to meet you ever since I told her about you.”
“But—!”
“No buts! Everything will be fine,” Jacaerys cooed, and you sighed as you buried your head in his chest.
“I hope you’re right,” You mumbled miserably, not wanting to even think about him being wrong. You loved Jace so much, and you couldn’t imagine not being accepted by the ones he loved the most. No matter how many times he reassured you that they would, the thought still terrified you to your core.
“Of course I am,” Jacaerys leaned his head down and pressed a kiss to your forehead, wrapping his arms around you as he did. “How could anyone not love you? You’re perfect.”
Quickly, a small rush of embarrassment flooded to your cheeks but luckily it was hidden.
“You really think so?” You mumbled again, and this time you felt Jace pulling you away from his chest so that you could look him in the eye.
Two pools of warm honey held nothing but confidence and reassurance as he nodded. “Of course,” Jace confirmed sweetly, and then he sealed his promise with a kiss.
Smiling, you welcomed his lips and relaxed as your fears began to melt away. As always, Jace had a habit of being able to calm you with the slightest touch, and now as you felt his plump lips against yours, your worries evaporated.
It was like magic how you could be so worked up one minute, and then completely like putty in his arms in the next. Forgetting your anxiety, you deepened the kiss with Jace and panted as you felt his hands roam over your body.
“Shouldn’t we…shouldn’t we be getting ready?” You asked him quietly, pulling away as you felt him hardening underneath you.
“We’ve still got,” Jace picked up his phone and tapped on the screen, grinning when it read 5:52pm. “Two hours until dinner, I think? That’s plenty of time.”
You grinned back and sank into another kiss, this time bringing your hands up to tangle in his curls. They were soft against your fingertips; a weapon you used to render your boyfriend defenseless as you crawled on top of him.
Moaning, Jace held your hips as you began to grind them, feeling the way his cock got hard as you did so. Jace’s hockey hoodie and your thin sleep shorts left minimum barriers between the two of you, but still, it was too much.
You needed to feel him as desire pooled in between your legs, a little wet spot forming on the crotch of your shorts.
“Jace. Help me take this off,” You said against his lips, and Jace, all too eager, obeyed.
You felt his strong hands tug on the band of your shorts, pulling them off and throwing them across the room. Then, Jace reached for the hoodie and pulled it up just enough to expose your tits, but he kept it on you because he loved the way you looked in it.
“Fuck you’re gorgeous,” Jacaerys groaned, leaning up to suck on one of your buds as you continued rocking against him.
The feeling of his soft tongue made your core clench with anticipation, throwing your head back as you panted. You weren’t really in a rush, so Jace took his time; sucking and biting and licking your flesh as he pleased.
Already, you could feel the marks on your skin forming, and you lightly pushed his chest to get him to stop.
“Don’t give me a hickey right before I meet your family,” You warned, but the damage was done and Jace was quite proud as he admired his work.
“Oops.” Your boyfriend smirked up at you, and then you squealed as he flipped you around. Now, your back was against his chest and Jace propped your hips up so that your ass was in the air.
You could feel him begin to grind against you now, pressing his hard cock against your body as his kissed his way down it.
He started with your neck, nipping at your sweet spots before eventually going lower. Jace pushed the hoodie up so he could kiss along your spine, leaving little marks wherever he pleased. While he did that, you shivered as his hands occupied themselves with your cunt, teasing your wet folds and ghosting over your clit.
“Jace,” You whined in the pillow, desperate for more friction as you wiggled against him. You were burning up, aching for his touch; and luckily your boyfriend wasn’t a cruel man.
“I’ve got you, Princess. Don’t worry,” He cooed softly. You felt the bed dip as he moved in between your thighs, placing a delicate kiss to each before going where you needed him most.
“God…” You moaned, biting the pillow as Jace’s lips attached to your cunt, tongue darting out to taste you.
He went slow at first, dipping his tongue in between your folds and circling your entrance. You whined as Jace pushed in, tongue-fucking you while his fingers came to play with your clit. His other hand occupied itself with steadying your trembling hips, keeping your cunt firmly pressed against his face as he messily ate you out from behind.
“Fuck, fuck! Jace!”
His name fell from your lips like a chant, your thighs shaking as your orgasm approached. If you could, you would’ve tugged on his curls but you had to settle for gripping the bedsheets as you made a mess on his tongue.
To Jace, you tasted so sweet that he just couldn’t help but to lap it all up; face getting drenched with the evidence of your arousal. He reached out to message your trembling thighs, placing little kisses on them before turning you over.
As he did, you couldn’t help but think how hot your boyfriend looked after eating you out. His face was glistening with your cum, his pupils blown and eager for more.
He couldn’t get the condom on fast enough, and you nearly started drooling when he teased his swollen cock head in between your folds.
You were still sensitive by the time he started to push in, but you welcomed his cock and eagerly held his body close to yours. As always, Jace held your hand and let out a shaky breath as he entered you. With his forehead pressed to yours, he gazed into your eyes and sank into your cunt until there was nothing left for him to give.
“Fuck!”
The two of you moaned in unison as he bottomed out, Jace trembling above you as your warm cunt squeezed him. He leaned down to capture your lips in a long, deep kiss, loving to make out with you while he fucked you.
It was one thing to be inside of you, but with Jace, he always felt the need to be consumed by you, taking you in every way he could think of. His lips upon yours, his hands holding yours, his cock deep inside of you.
The closeness, the sheer intimacy of it all always drove your boyfriend crazy, as he wanted to think of and feel nothing but expect for you. No matter what, Jace always poured everything he had into you—every bit of love, want, desire.
You could feel it in the way he moved his hips, desperately chasing the high only you could bring him to. You spread yourself eagerly below him, taking, wanting, craving for the same things.
Together, you held one another as your bodies moved in sync, giving and taking and fitting together like two pieces of a puzzle.
Jace’s cock began to tighten as he neared his release. Likewise, your core clenched, your head becoming fuzzy as he brushed against your sweet spot over and over again. Just as you pulled away from his kiss, your own lips—plump and swollen—let out a gasp as you came around him. All that you could see, all you taste and feel was Jacaerys as pleasure completely took over your senses.
And then, not even a second later Jace was collapsing as well, panting as he spilled himself into the condom.
You had the pleasure of hearing his sweet sounds as he did, rubbing his back and his ass gently to coax him. By the time he was finished, the condom was filled to the brim and Jace pulled it off, lazily tying it up and throwing it in the trashcan.
Pink puffy lips, bruised from kissing you and biting them so hard when he came, once again ghosted over your skin, Jace leaving a kiss on your forehead before collapsing beside you.
“I love you,” Your boyfriend said gently, taking your face into his hands. Soft cheek pressed against soft cheek as you curled into one another, still panting and glowing and smiling from your highs.
“I love you too,” You giggled as he squeezed your cheeks, pressing them together so your lips jutted out like a fish. “I lobe you, I lobe you, I lobe you, I lobe you—”
Jace laughed at your disordered speech, just about to comment on it when suddenly the door flung open, and Cregan Stark stood with his entire family behind him as he grinned.
“Surprise!”
“What the—?”
The smile on your lips died as you froze in shock, eyes coming to settle on the plethora of people that filed into the room.
They hadn’t noticed it yet, not until it was too late. There were six people in total, all too busy grinning with anticipation and chattering excitedly until they noticed exactly what they had stumbled upon—a very naked Jacaerys and his girlfriend.
“Oh,” Rhaena, who you had seen before in FaceTime calls and followed on Instagram, was the first to notice your predicament. Their eyes widened when they looked at Jace, stuttering but not able to warn anyone in time. “I…”
“Oh shit!”
“Are they—?”
“Dude!”
Jace was much faster than you to react; shouting at Cregan and telling him to close the door while his roommate stood there in shock.
Behind him, you could hear laughter and horrified shouts as Jace’s family looked at the scene; his step-sister Baela cracking up while who you presumed was his mother gasped.
“Jacaerys—” The white haired woman blinked, dumbfounded, and of course you would have the absolute unfortunace of locking eyes with her right before Jace exclaimed,
“Mom! Get out!”
The door slammed shut just as Jace began to scurry up, his face a violent shade of red as you blinked. In that moment, you couldn’t tell if you wanted to scream or just straight up die as you looked at Jace, horrified as you covered your naked body.
“I didn’t…I didn’t know…” He rapidly shook his head, trying to explain but you could obviously tell he wasn’t expecting his family to come here.
You were supposed to meet them at the restaurant at seven, and you still thought you had time to get yourself presentable.
You wanted to make a good first impression on the people who would hopefully be your future in laws, but now though, there was no such luck. His whole family had seen you naked, and now you had no fucking clue how you’d ever leave this room without wanting the ground to swallow you up.
“Oh my god. Oh my god. What are we going to do?” You asked, panicked as Jace paced around the room. “Your mother—Jace, your mom just saw my fucking pussy!”
“Or maybe she didn’t,” Jace countered, trying to delude himself and you into thinking the situation wasn’t that bad. It didn’t work. “Maybe they…maybe they only saw us in the covers, but didn’t see anything else.”
“Yeah right,” You scoffed, knowing damn well that wasn’t the case. “I’m pretty sure they’ve seen more of me than you ever have!”
“Shit!”
Jace ran a hand through his curls as commotion sounded outside. Cregan panicking and Baela laughing and Luke so horrified all he could do was stare at the wall.
They were all waiting out there to meet you but, “I can’t ever show my face again,” You wailed. “I was right. They’re gonna hate me and think I’m a slut and they’re never gonna want to see me again!”
“That’s not true,” Jace insisted, shaking his head. “Babe, they would never think that about you.”
“Yeah! We’d never—” Rhaena’s voice became muffled as Rhaenyra scolded them, but the fact that they could hear what you were saying just made you want to die even more.
“Jesus Christ. Is there no end to the embarrassment?” You groaned, flopping on Jace’s bed. You buried your face into the pillow while Jace rubbed circles on your back, torn between comforting you and yelling at Rhaena to fuck off.
“It’s alright. It’ll be alright,” Your boyfriend said awkwardly. “The best thing that we can do is to just go out there, and forget this ever happened, yeah? I’m sure after a few drinks no one will even remember this.”
Which might’ve been true, if half his family wasn’t under 21 and couldn’t drink in the USA.
You groaned. “Ihatemylife.”
“What?”
“I said I hate my life,” You pouted at Jace, pulling your face from the covers. “Only something like this could happen to me.” But eventually, you agreed to just bite the bullet.
You knew you couldn’t hide forever, and as much you wanted to, you couldn’t avoid the six people standing outside waiting for you and Jace either.
No matter how undignified you felt, you still got ready and you took a deep breath as Jace grabbed your hand.
“Let’s go meet them properly this time, shall we?”
“So how’s the bed—I mean, the bread! Sorry!” Luke blushed deeply while you sank into your seat, utterly mortified while Jace tensed beside you.
He still had yet to relax even though the incident had happened hours ago, and his family was graceful enough not to mention it save for a few accidental innuendos and stray giggles as they recalled the moment.
Cregan, who was also invited along, hadn’t stopped sending either of you apologetic looks since it was his idea to bring them to surprise Jace.
The poor guy had a wanted to do a nice thing for his best friend and ended up humiliating him in the process.
But you were so embarrassed you didn’t even care, not being able to even look at Luke while you answered.
“It’s good,” You told him meekly, even though it was obvious you had barely touched it. “A little hard, but...”
Daemon snickered as you suddenly stopped, stomach dropping when you realized you said. “I-I mean…I didn’t…”
“Babe,” Jace gave you look as he squeezed your hand under the table, shooting his step father an angry glare. “He knows what you meant. Right, Luke?”
“Yeah.” The sophomore in high school didn’t say anything else as he picked at his appetizer.
You sighed.
Quite frankly, it was awkward all around, making you feel like you should have just stayed in your dorm room.
What was supposed to be a normal family dinner was now overshadowed by the incident, and you felt like no matter what you did, something brought it up.
The last thing you wanted to do was make a bad first impression, and you had made an impression alright.
You cleared your throat. “So how was the flight?” You asked no one in particular, desperately wanting to change the subject. You didn’t think you’d survive another minute of this if not, but thankfully Rhaena ended up being the one who answered you.
“It was boring. Kind of long, actually,” They shrugged. And then they added, “T-The flight, I mean,” which only made the situation worse.
Baela shook her head. “I don’t know. It was kind of short to me,” She grinned, laughing when Jace glared and kicked her under the table.
“Baela!” Rhaenyra scolded her, shaking her head. Like you, the woman seemed to be at her wits end with how much more she could take.
It was embarrassing enough for you to experience it, but you couldn’t imagine catching your own son naked. Rhaenyra was probably the only one more mortified than you and Jace, and so she was a bit more sympathetic than the rest of her family.
“That’s enough. Stop torturing the poor girl, will you?”She warned. “Y/N, honey, I’m so sorry,” She then said gently, and you gave her a tight smile, hating yourself for not ordering a stronger drink.
Thankfully though, you were saved by the waitress coming around. You and Jace let out a sigh of relief as the food momentarily distracted everybody. Baela stopped smirking, eyeing her spaghetti with joy. Daemon no longer stared at you accusingly, just waiting to for the chance to jump in and embarrass Jace. Eveything seemed fine again; that is until she set Jace’s entree down.
“And here is that shrimp for you, sir,” She smiled at him politely, and you could see Cregan absolutely loosing it as he stood up.
“Fuck—I’m sorry man. I can’t, I just…” He crackled all the way to the bathroom, his laugher echoing through the whole restaurant. A few people stared at him as he passed, but the waitress didn’t seem too bothered by it.
She turned to Rhaenyra, handing her a red drink and said, “And here is that cocktail for you.”
Rhaenyra stared at the drink, not even knowing what to say as her children burst into giggles. Not even Daemon could hold himself back, laughing into his wine while Jace laid his head on the table.
“Is there anything else I can get for you all?” The waitress asked, chewing her lip at the scene. She obviously didn’t understand what was going on or why everything she said was so funny.
“A gun,” Jace whispered from beside you, catching her attention. His red face was as buried into his arms due to permanent shame. “I would like for you to bring me a gun, please.”
“Excuse me?” Your waitress reeled back, her eyes going wide at Jace’s words. The tray she carried momentarily shook in her hands, and—not wanting for her to call the police and make this an even worse situation—you quickly stepped in.
“I-I think he means that we’re all satisfied, thank you,” You told her weakly.
Your whole body burned from shame and embarrassment, and you were surprised that you didn’t catch on fire right then and there. You certainly wished you would, as it would save you from the absolute worst dinner of your life.
The woman nodded slowly. “Alright then. Enjoy,” She said cautiously.
And then, without missing a beat, Baela looked straight at you and giggled. “Oh, I’m sure she did.”

It is sad when a family member gets sick and you know there's nothing you can do about it. So when your brother-in-law fell ill, it came the time you had to explain to your children that King Viserys wouldn't be the same he once was. The hard part was trying not to scare them with the thought of losing their uncle.
The news brought sadness to Alyssa's and Rhaegon's hearts, but Maegon was the most affected one. He felt the necessity of doing something for his beloved uncle so that even though the King now lay indisposed, he could still feel loved. Your son was old enough to realize that besides Helaena, Viserys' kids did not care for him. That made him sad. Rhaenyra lived in Dragonstone, and for so she couldn't give the attention her father deserved.
The boy had the idea of asking Queen Alicent to let him pay some company for King, during the evenings where he would like someone to talk to. As she needed a break from the sick man herself, she would let Maegon take over her place wherever she felt like it. Which was, almost every evening.
During one of those evenings, Prince Daemon thought it would be nice to see what his brother and son talked about. Mostly, he just wanted to see his brother interacting with anyone, to have the certainty that Viserys would still be alive for a while. The King had little to no hair on his scalp. His body couldn't stand up without the supported of a cane. Daemon didn't know how much time his older brother had left.
When Daemon made entrance to the monarch's solar, he found his son and his brother giggling softly. It felt good to hear the laughing. It meant Viserys was in fact, still alive.
"May I know what is so funny?" The Rogue Prince asked, making his presence known.
Maegon was startled by his father's voice. He has been visiting his uncle for weeks now, but not once his father wanted to come with him.
"Oh, hello Daemon" Viserys grinned at the sight of his sibling, "what a coincidence to see you right now. I was just telling Maegon about that time when we were kids... Do you remember when we tried to find The Cannibal?"
Daemon chuckled, "I do. We searched around all Dragonstone until Father found us before we got inside a Volcano's cave."
"And we never found him!" Viserys laughed.
"Well, thank Gods! You two would probably be eaten or burned alive and I wouldn't be here today to hear the story if you did find him." Maegon reasoned, watching his father pacing around the King's solar.
Daemon's fingers danced around the huge model of Valyria that his brother had exposed in the middle of his room.
"I miss the good old days when I was brave. Once I was sword fighting, I was riding Balerion, I took my little brother to look for a cannibal wild dragon..." Viserys sighed softly.
"You are brave still, uncle" Maegon assures, "It takes bravery to rule. And it takes bravery to be kind. You are a good King."
Viserys nodded to his nephew's words, taking his hands across the table. Daemon felt warmth in his heart. He couldn't quite understand that sensation, but he sees that part of him feels glad that his son expressed words and emotions he could never say or show, because he didn't know how to.
"Did you know that I was the one who introduced your mother to Daemon?" Viserys asked, with fun in his tone, "Have I ever told you the story?"
"Oh, you haven't!" Maegon engaged, grinning excitedly, "Do tell me, uncle, please."
We were all at Driftmark to prestige Corlys and Rhaenys' wedding. Nobles from all across the Seven Kingdoms were there, and your mother was one of them. I remember she was wearing her house colors in her dress. She was a bit older than your sister is now, I think.
My late wife, Aemma, introduced me to her, I didn't know they were friends. I discovered that the lady whom I had just met, was not only a Princess but also played part as a knight at her father's guard. She wore that dress with such grace, that I thought my ears deceived me when I imagined her wearing armor and ringmail.
My thoughts were disturbed by Caraxes' whistling noises, when Daemon, who was very late for the ceremony, came flying upon our heads, rounding Corlys' castle. Everyone was watching the little show your father was giving, mouth-opened, shocked, scared. Y/N wasn't any of those things. She wasn't impressed at all. I remember asking her;
"Have you ever seen a dragon?"
and smirking, she replied, "Where I come from, we have scarier animals."
"Scarier?" Aemma questioned.
"More dangerous." Y/N reasoned.
"I suppose you're right, Princess Y/N," I said, "There are beings more lethal than a dragon, like the very man who rides it can be far more dangerous for his ideals, than the dragon under his command."
It felt like I summoned my brother once I said those words.
"Prince Daemon" Y/N made a short reverence to greet his presence.
"Brother, let me introduce you to Princess Y/N of Sunspear, she is a good friend of Aemma's."
Daemon kept his smugly signature grin on his lips, and took Y/N's hand in his, kissing the soft skin of her knuckles.
"I am deeply sorry for being late for the ceremony. I hope dear cousin Rhaenys can forgive my missing presence." Daemon changed the subject without paying any interest to the lady who made us company.
His rudeness made me uncomfortable, but it was so like my brother to behave like that.
"Y/N, you should come visit us. Viserys and I would love to welcome your family to Dragonstone." Aemma smiled and looked at me for reassurance.
I nodded, "Feel free to visit whenever you want. It is a very lonely place, and unfortunately, the only family we have there is my brother, as Aemma and I are still trying for a child."
Before Y/N could give us an answer, Daemon retorted, "My apologies if living with your younger brother is not what you expected of marriage."
"It certainly is not what I was expecting." Aemma playfully hit Daemon with her elbow.
Y/N giggled softly and the noise took Daemon's attention. He was quite curious why she was still there, in his presence. Most people who didn't know him are likely to feel uncomfortable with his intimidating presence, but not that girl.
"Are you here with your family?" He questioned. That was the first time he spoke directly to her.
Y/N shook her head, "My father sent me here in his name to prestige Princess Rhaenys and Lord Corlys, and give them our wedding gift."
"Oh. I see Dorne's economy must be great if its ruler has enough gold to spend on such superficial events." Like always, Daemon felt the need to say something directly rude.
Y/N frowned, "I thank the Gods our economy is doing well. It certainly is not because of your King." she replied. Her head remained raised, and her eyes stared at Daemon's on the same height.
Daemon felt strange. That woman wasn't offended by what he said, and even tried to get under his skin. One had to have such courage to talk to him like that.
"Uhm... Viserys, why don't you take Daemon to get that wine Corlys was talking to you about?" Aemma spoke trying to break the tension.
"When I took him away, he couldn't shut his mouth about Y/N. He was amazed a woman had the guts to talk to him like that, and even so about the King." Viserys finished the story, as Maegon quietly listened to every word he said.
"She never really had much filter, your mother." Daemon said, "Still doesn't."
Maegon frowned, "But... that's it? That's how you met mother? But, when did you start courting her, father?"
"She came to Viserys' coronation ceremony. Aemma was pregnant and couldn't make her company, so I offered myself for my sister-in-law to be the one hosting her friend in King's Landing." Daemon shrugged, "The rest... well, maybe you should ask your mother how it happened. I don't remember very well, but I know she quickly fell in love with me."

quinn hughes x fem!reader
word count: 2.9k
summary: two years after breaking things off with Quinn, you find yourself going to Game 1 of Round 2 of the Playoffs, completely unprepared to see the man you still harbour feelings for.
based off of: this is loosely based off of I Love You, I'm Sorry by Gracie Abrams
warnings: aggressive amounts of pining (like, probably annoying), two swear words, a few kisses, mentions of a breakup (so like, kinda angst? idk man), copious amounts of cheesiness, probably extremely inaccurate descriptions of the game, not great writing lol. let me know if i missed anything!
author's note: okay, i haven't written anything on here yet due to a horrendous case of writer's block and many hours of working. so, this is definitely not my best work, but it was a fun way to try move past my writing slump. i really do hope that anyone who reads this does enjoy! love, addi <3

Vancouver’s streets preserve memories well. You found that out when, even two years after things had fallen to pieces, you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing the two of you holding hands, sharing quiet laughs, and stealing kisses. You’d thought that after two years you would’ve been able to shake those memories off when they plagued your mind; but it was hard when he was plastered across banners and fans sported his jersey for half the year.
He was making his name known throughout the NHL, and you couldn’t ignore the buzz around Quinn Hughes when the Canucks made it to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
After you and Quinn had broken things off, you had to find separate friend groups to belong in. The two of you had shared too many mutual friends. The group of ladies you did manage to find yourself among knew nothing about your past relationship with the captain of the Canucks. When the city was gearing up for the first round of the playoffs, even your friends couldn’t stop talking about the sport.
You were standing outside, leaning against the railing on a BC ferry, returning from visiting family on the Island, when you received a call from your friend Lydia. You picked up without hesitation.
“Hey, what’s up?” you asked.
She immediately giggled, which honestly had you a little scared. “I have a surprise,” she said excitedly, the last word dragged out.
You snorted. “Am I allowed to ask what it is?”
“It’s a really big surprise, and you have to promise not to scream when I tell you,” she laughed, acting like a teenage girl again. It was one of the things you really did love about her – her ability to bring childlike joy with her wherever she went.
“I promise not to scream, Lyd,” you assured her, hoping she was satisfied.
She paused for dramatic effect, and you let her. You knew she was having fun with it.
“We’re going to the first game of round 2 of the playoffs!” she squealed.
Your phone nearly slipped through your fingers, almost lost to the sea. You stepped away from the railing, suddenly very glad there was no one on the deck with you. Your heart clenched in your chest. The last time you had been to a game was when you and Quinn had still been together. He wouldn’t even know you were in the crowd, but you would be painfully aware of him in the centre of the arena.
“Okay, you’re even quieter than I thought you’d be,” Lydia commented, reminding you that there was someone on the other end of the line.
You debated for a moment what to say. Would it best to just blurt out that you had dated Quinn Hughes and you were not exactly ready to go watch him play again? Definitely not.
“Uh, yeah, I’m just surprised!” That wasn’t a lie. “How’d you get the tickets?”
“My dad,” she said simply. “When I told him I wanted to go see the Canucks, he was suddenly the proudest parent in the world. You know how he is – once he gets an idea in his head, whether it’s planted there by me or not, he has to do it.”
“Wow, that’s–that’s crazy!” you said stiffly, still unsure of how to act.
“Yeah, and it gets better! We’re sitting right behind the Canucks’ bench!”
You nearly choked on nothing. “What?”
“I know, right? I don’t know how my dad managed it, but he did,” she told you, completely unaware of your stuttering heart. “Who knows, maybe we’ll catch some players’ eyes,” she joked, and you tried to force a laugh out with her.
“Yeah, maybe.” What you didn’t add out loud was your brain screaming please no.
After a few more minutes of chatting and you pretending to be completely sound of mind, Lydia said goodbye, telling you she would send the details soon.
You pocketed your phone and leaned against the railing once more. You watched as the sun brushed the horizon, casting a beautiful pink against the clouds. Vancouver was getting close, and for obvious reasons, you were suddenly dreading it. You wanted to sit on the ferry until it returned to Vancouver Island.
You sighed and rested your chin on your folded arms. You heard a faint buzzing sound above you, and lifted your eyes to the sky. A plane was coming to land at the Vancouver Airport. As it approached, you let yourself imagine it was Quinn flying back from Nashville, and you felt your heart tighten in your chest once more, because you were terrified to see him again, but also because you still missed him. Maybe you were scared to see him because you missed him.
You dropped your forehead to your arms once more and groaned loudly, the ocean and the brightening city lights your only listening companions.
When the morning of May 8th arrived, you found yourself unable to shake the anxiety that had made a home in your chest over the last few days. There was a tenseness in your shoulders that never left, and a squeezing at your heart that seemed relentless.
The group chat you shared with your friends had been buzzing incessantly, the girls incredibly excited. Every now and then you made your fingers put a message out there that hopefully hid your anxieties from them.
After much procrastination, you eventually made your way to your closet. After tugging on a simple pair of blue jeans, you reached towards the back of your closet. Your fingers closed around the unmistakable, thick material of the jersey. Taking a deep breath, you pulled it out. Your only Canucks jersey of course, had to be Quinn’s home jersey from two seasons ago. No one would know it was the jersey that he had pulled over his head before every home game. However, you knew. There was no C on the left side of the chest, and your mind was pulled back to the relationship you had shared.
You often questioned why you and Quinn had even ended things. You missed him so much still, and you were plagued by the way you knew it had been the wrong choice. You had been growing apart as he was dealing with growing attention and expectations within his career, and a promotion at your own job had stolen your energy and attention. You had both been tired and short with one another, and eventually the tension built and had blown up in a terrible way.
You squeezed your eyes shut, trying to force both the guilt and continued yearning out of your busy mind.
When Lydia texted that she and the girls were on the way to your apartment, you reluctantly pulled the jersey over your head. The sleeves covered most of your hands, and the fabric fell past your hips and part way down your thighs. You pulled on a pair of shoes and left the safe space that was your apartment, locking the door behind you.
Rogers Arena was packed and the energy in the building made you feel like you could start vibrating. You and your friends held hands so as not to get separated. You were glad when your friends made no comment on how tightly you squeezed their hands, or how sweaty your palms might have been.
You were made significantly more nervous when you realised that Lydia had not been exaggerating about your seats. You were sitting right behind the bench.
The arena was filling up steadily, and you sat there in between your friends, not speaking a single word. It had been a couple years since you had been here, and while you were very nervous, the familiarity came rushing back to you and it helped to slow your fast beating heart.
If you closed your eyes, you could imagine Quinn smiling at you from the other side of the glass, and laughing when you blew him a kiss.
You wrapped your arms gently around yourself, the once very stiff material of the jersey now very easily shifted and manipulated. You knew it didn’t smell like him anymore, but when you let yourself get lost in the feeling of his old jersey, it was like he was right there. You were wrapped in him still, and you doubted it would ever go away.
You were shocked out of your own thoughts when your friends, along with the rest of the fans around you, started cheering. The Canucks and the Oilers were on the ice, starting to warm up. Your eyes searched the ice quickly, and gliding easily across the ice on the opposite side of rink, was the captain, the number 43 embroidered on his jersey, just like the one you adorned.
Your own cheeks heated up when it really hit you that you were wearing his old jersey. You weren’t together anymore; what were you thinking? He could see you– what would he think when he saw you right behind his bench, wearing the jersey he had gifted you?
You suddenly wanted to throw up more than ever. He exchanged a few words with Elias, and laughed at something his buddy had said. Your heart ached in longing once more. You had missed his laugh so much.
Quinn now had facial hair, something he hadn’t had when he was with you. His hair was longer, peeking out from beneath his helmet. He already seemed much more grown up. He looked like a captain, something who had become used to leading his team. Quinn had always been somewhat confident in his abilities as a hockey player, but it was easy to tell that he had really gotten used to his role on the team and had come into his own over the past two years.
The girls grabbed your hands and walked into the aisle, just to get right up to the glass. Your face burned and you tried to hide behind some of your friends. You kept your heads down and your arms folded.
Your friends held up hats and other paraphernalia that they desperately wanted signed by players.
“Y/N!” One of your friends practically shouted. You suddenly noticed that they had all stopped cheering. You looked up to see them parted in front of you.
Quinn was on the other side of the glass, looking right at you.
Your friends shoved you up the glass, giggling and squealing. You nearly ran into the glass from the force of their shoves. Quinn laughed at you, his smile exactly how you remembered it.
He pointed at the white Canucks towel in your hands and shouted, “toss it over!” The arena was so loud you were glad he had mouthed it clearly. You hesitated but threw the towel over. With one glove off and in the other hand, he caught it. He gestured to one of your friends to throw over the Sharpie she was holding. She did gladly, happy to be included. He caught it easily and started to write quickly on the white fabric. Your heart did flips while watching him, and your hands shook with nothing to hold onto.
He finally capped the pen and threw both the towel and marker over the glass. You struggled to catch it, but thankfully, you managed to hold onto it. You held it flat before you.
Meet me by my car after. Usual spot. Your breath stopped slightly when you saw a rushed heart drawn next to the words. You looked back up to see him putting his glove back on. He gave you a warm smile that set you on a fire from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. You took a deep breath and nodded to him. His smile widened slightly. Before he turned to skate away, you saw him mouth the words, “nice jersey.” You stuttered for a second, and he simply winked and turned.
Your friends all screamed and crowded you, looking at the towel.
“Usual spot? What the fuck is going on?” Lydia yelled over the noise, cackling.
You just blushed and shook your head, returning to your seat with the towel gripped tightly in your hands.
As the teams continued to warm up, you explained as quickly as you could that you and Quinn had once been together. Your friends, of course, were shocked but also very excited for you at the prospect of reuniting with him. You simply waved your hands in protest.
“I don’t even know if he wants to get back together with me! He might just want to catch up or something… we’re cool now and I don’t want to mess anything up.”
“Girl, please!” one of your friends shouted. “He drew a motherfucking heart and winked at you! Of course he wants you back.”
You all laughed and you embraced the next blush that warmed your cheeks.
The players left the ice, and minutes later, the lights went dark. The deafening sound of nearly 19,000 people screaming almost broke your eardrums. Blue light filled the room, and you looked up to see what was playing on the large screens above you.
You watched the intro video and let a nostalgic, giddy feeling overtake you. You couldn’t help but smile.
The arena fell back into nearly full darkness. You heard the beginning of a familiar sound of twinkly guitar that dragged you right back to 2011. Goosebumps rose up along your skin all over your body. That was the last time the Canucks had made it to the Playoff finals, and you hoped dearly that they could get there again. The playing of Where The Streets Have No Name from their intro from 2011 made hope take hold of you.
You couldn’t help but raise your particularly special white rally towel in the air to wave alongside all of the other Canucks fans in the building.
It had been surprisingly easy to get into the players’ parking garage. Despite it being two years since you had been in the building, you were recognized by several people, who let you walk wherever you wanted.
Your friends had practically shoved you to go after the game, screaming after you to call them later. You had laughed and walked away, your steps lighter than they had been in a long while.
You later found yourself standing by Quinn’s car. It was the same one he’d had when you had been together. Your hand brushed the shining hood of the car, and you could see yourself in the passenger seat, laughing at something he’d said as the two of you drove around downtown Vancouver.
“Thank God you actually showed up.”
You whipped around, seeing a freshly showered Quinn in sweatpants and a hoodie making his way towards you.
You tugged on the hem of the jersey, your heart beating quicker and quicker with every step he took.
He stopped in front of you, and when you looked up, you both spoke.
“I love you.”
“I’m sorry.”
Your eyes nearly popped out of your head. “You-what?”
He bit his bottom lip before repeating himself. “I love you. I know it’s been two years, but-”
“I love you, too,” you said quickly, blood roaring in your ears. “And I am so, so sorry. I never should’ve-”
It was his turn to cut you off. “Don’t apologise, please. It’s not your fault.”
“Can you… can you please accept my apology, at least?”
He smiled softly. “I forgive you. I’m sorry, too.”
“I forgive you, too,” you whispered softly, your heart swelling with affection as you looked at him. You felt an intense relief flood your body. Your shoulders finally relaxed for the first time in what felt like years. He reached out and wrapped you in a warm hug. You melted into it, returning the gesture.
“I missed you. So much,” you mumbled into his hoodie.
One of hands gently scratched the back of your neck like he used to do. “I missed you, too.” He pulled away just enough to lean down and kiss your lips softly. Nothing had ever felt so natural. His playoff beard scratched your face and you laughed at the sensation, pulling away.
“Not used to the beard,” you admitted, smiling widely.
He smiled, too. “Yeah, what do you think? Should I keep it around?”
You shrugged, leaning back into him. “Well, you’re very handsome either way.”
“You think?”
“Mhm. Your hair also looks very good. I like it longer like this,” you told him, ruffling his brown hair. He swatted your hand away and kissed your cheek.
“Noted.” He looked down at me again. “Should probably get you a new jersey.”
“Hm, you think I need the big ole C on here, Captain?”
He shook his head, blushing. “Don’t call me that.”
You laughed, wrapping your arms around him, bringing his head down for you to kiss. “Couldn’t help myself.” You grabbed his hands. “Congratulations on the big win, by the way.”
“I can’t believe you came. I thought I was hallucinating or something when I saw you,” he told you honestly.
“Well, I’m glad I came,” you admitted, running a hand through his hair.
“You have no idea how happy I am right now,” he said, smiling wider than you had seen all night.
You laughed, feeling pure joy in your heart. “I think I might have an idea.”

[part 2] [part 3]
━━━━━━━━━
“you're back at it?”
emily's head tilted to watch you approach from her peripheral vision.
you watched as her grey strands fell from her shoulder as she turned her neck.
one of the best things emily did was let her hair take on her natural colour, instead of dying it black continuously. she's beautiful regardless, especially with messy hair and her sleepy face as soon as she wakes up— and now you're spiraling.
your brain seemed to forget that she's no longer your girlfriend and kept on hunting you with memories you can't get back to.
she was playing with the pack of cigarettes as she admitted out loud, “mhm. trying not to, but—”
“you're stressed.”
her lips quirked up and she looked up at you, a hint of a smile. it wasn't a happy one. “that's one way to put it.”
you looked down at your shoes as you leaned to where she was sitting. eye contact was something you couldn't hold for long, it was hard and awkward. it didn't used to be like that. you could stare at emily the entire day and not look away for a second.
“what's stressing you out?” your voice was slightly muffled by the collar of your coat. it was cold, you find it absurd how emily never even flinched at the wind. she had always been warmer than you but had the coldest hands on earth.
“just needed some fresh air.”
you offered her a blank look.
she closed the lid of the pack, leaving it aside before she spoke again. if she did that out of respect for you or if she didn't felt like smoking anymore, you didn't care. both were good reasons.
“what's stressing you out?” she threw back.
“my mom called.” you eyed her hand for a moment, wondering if they were still as cold as you remembered them to be. clearing your throat and shaking your head to deviate your thoughts to a better and solid place, you said, “she wants to know when I'm going to visit because, you know, uh... she wants to introduce me to someone.”
a beat.
“oh.” emily let out a forced chuckle. “she wants to set you up with a guy.”
“precisely.” which is what your mother always did, even after you introduced emily as your long term girlfriend. her calls were always about finding someone good for you while you were in a relationship.
it was frustrating but you could handle it since you were never at her place anymore. you visited, yes, but five times a year, maybe. never more than that. you never told her you and emily had broke up.
“and do you want it? to meet him?”
a scoff left your lips, “no. it will probably be some religious prick who will want to control my life like my dad controlled hers.”
“she must be crazy about the idea of planning your wedding.”
you nodded, staring distractedly into the horizon.
“probably,” you said, “but it's never happening, so.”
“why would you say that?” you could see her frown through her tone of voice. “it can still happen.”
you leaned back slightly, inhaling with your eyes closed. your nose was definitely pink and you were starting you feel your fingers become numb, but the night sky and the quietness made you enjoy the moment.
and the company, of course.
“i don't want to.”
“get married?” she had a puzzled look while she studied you. and you let her profile you in that moment, even if you despised when she did that. “you used to want it.”
there are some things that are better left unsaid. in order for you to end a cycle, you have to do something to move on. so you say things that need to be said and leave out the ones that will come to the surface later. the what ifs.
you blamed the moon for your choice or words next.
“i used to want it, yes. when I was with you.”
you ignored the deafening silence that installed itself between the two of you, deciding to bask in the rare peaceful moment without seeing dead bodies and without hunting serial killers.
“i didn't know that.” she surprised you by breaking the silence. you thought she would've just pretended you didn't say anything and move on.
move on.
why is it so hard?
“you thought about marrying me?”
yes, please, torture me like that, emily prentiss. you're awfully good at that.
“emily, I thought about everything with you.”
“why?” she sounded genuinely confused.
“because I loved you.” you said matter-of-fact. “and I... you know what? I'm gonna head back inside. it's freezing out here.” you abruptly cut the conversation short. otherwise you'd say something you'd regret later and all the moving on you did in the last few years would go down the drain. a moment didn't change anything.
emily's icy fingers held you by the elbow and your breath failed for a second.
“i'm sorry.”
“no, don't do that.” you begged, pulling your arm back and out of her reach. you'd done that before, you remembered how you ended up. you're not going back there again.
she let you go, folding her arms across her chest as if she felt cold for the first time that night. she eyed the pack of cigarettes, taking a minute to remind herself of the progress she made for not smoking in the past months.
and your voice rang through her head as walked back inside the building.
“it's not good for you.” you said one night when she thought you were sleeping. your arm wrapped around her middle and you tucked your nose in the crook of her neck. she leaned back immediately, her body finding the comfort in seek in your warm touch.
she pulled the cigarette away from her mouth and stared at it. “i know.”
you kissed the back of her shoulder, rubbing softly the side of her waist. “why'd you wake up? nightmare?”
“yeah, I didn't want to wake you up too.” she grimaced, turning her head so your eyes could meet. you gave her an eye roll.
“you didn't but you should. I don't like you alone with your mind catastrophizing everything.”
and look how she ended up.
lonely. with her mind catastrophizing everything.

my spidersonas! their names are Hong Zhizhu/Red Spider (real name Hong Huiran) and Zhizhu Dajun/Lord Spider (real name Xu Xia). they are connected with each other!
backstories, doodles, and other versions under the cut
their backstories:
Zhizhu Dajun (蜘蛛大君) / Lord Spider
Real name: Xu Xia (徐侠)
Born from a poor, commoner family, Xu Xia works in a wealthy noble family's home as a servant to the young master (his version of Harry Osborne probably ?) who allows him to tag along and shadow him during his studies
A god/immortal (whom we shall not name bc I can't think) messed around and accidentally cursed a bunch of animals. Some of these animals became monsters, some physically merged with unsuspecting humans, and some others granted powers to creatures they come across, like the spider that bit Xu Xia
Bro became this world's one and only Spiderman (yayy!!!) and lived the rest of his life fighting crime and protecting the innocent (wahoo!!)
A lot of people thought of him as a god or a powerful immortal due to his powers and started to build temples for him and worship him (he's not god, he's just some guy who happened to get bit by a spider)
He inevitably died during a great battle against a powerful enemy. Before he died, he vowed to not rest in peace until he finds a worthy successor to serve as protector and defeat the enemy (that is presumably immortal and can strike again at anytime) and he transfered his consciousness? soul? ghost self? idk tbh? to one of his spiders
Unfortunately bro is So Tired™️ that it took him several thousand years to wake up
Hong Zhizhu (红蜘蛛) / Red Spider
Real name: Hong Huiran (洪惠然)
She's a science & engineering geek but also a History major. She originally wanted to major in STEM but ended up with History because STEM majors are expensive as hell
The mysterious and reclusive Zhizhu Dajun is her thesis topic and she frequently visits the museum to look at his statues and displays
One of the displays is a taxidermed spider
It is also the exact same spider that Xu Xia transfered himself into when he died
Xu Xia has only recently managed to wake up but is still barely able to move his new body (I imagine it must be hard to move if your body is filled with cotton, RIP)
He was intrigued by Huiran when he noticed her visiting multiple times. He deems her worthy to be his successor and with the sheer power of (god and anime on his side) will, he escaped his display and bit her
Huiran becomes her world's (and her time's) one and only Spiderwoman (yayy!!) and lives life fighting crime and protecting the innocent (wahoo!!!)
But you see, the way the spiderbite works is that now Xu Xia is technically in Huiran's body... so... so..... it's like,, Asa and Yoru.........
Several thousand-year-old stoic ancient ghost man becomes mentor and father figure to reluctant 22-year-old history student with a science obsession running on 12 cups of coffee and zero sleep
Shenanigans ensue
another version of Zhizhu Dajun’s design:
Tumblr media
these were his original colors before he broke. red seemed too happy a color for his path. he then permanently changed to white, forever mourning the lives he couldn't save. Huiran chose to adopt these colors instead of the white.

“mine, all mine” Oliver Quick x Fem! Reader
Warnings: Alcohol!
You visit Felix again for this summer and he introduces you to a new friend. He seems shy at first, but it’s always the quiet ones.
Tumblr media
This is the first part of my Oliver x Reader fan fiction “project”. I’m not so good at writing and english isn’t my first language, but I still hope it’s enjoyable.
Tumblr media
You enter the gates of saltburn with one hand on your suitcase in one and your bag in the other hand.
Standing in front of the gigantic mansion made you feel so small you haven't been here in ages it feels. You haven't seen Felix in so long you really missed him. You are somewhat excited, but also feel a bit scared. You didn't know why but there was an unusual feeling you can't really describe it but before you could look into it even more, the door opens.
"Miss Y/N. Welcome, I'll take this."
The butler says, he has to be someone new you didn't know him. Before you could even blink He takes the suitcase from you and takes you into the mansion. you look around and everything look just like you remembered. you would probably get lost if you tried to walk around the mansion alone, who wouldn't it was gigantic.
he takes you to the living room where everyone Was watching TV and just having a chat just as you walk in Elspeth storms over you with a gigantic smile on her face." Y/N it's so nice to see you. Oh good girl you still look as beautiful as I remembered you."
She turns around to look at the others sitting on a couch "she gorgeous isn't she?"
Everyone nods their head slightly with James, mumbling "yes, yes" in a wave that made you feel like he wasn't even listening.
Elspeth always loved you. She was always hoping for you and Felix to get married someday there was just something about you that you love so deeply, besides your beauty. she felt like you could be the perfect mother of her grandchildren, the perfect wife for her son someone caring.
When you moved states years ago, you didn't get to see or visit the Catton again. You are so busy with studying and helping your family out but finally after years of hard work, you found the time to come over to Saltburn for this summer.
You are more than excited to meet Felix again you've always had a crush on him. He was your first kiss and probably your first love, but as your was split, you had to concentrate on different things.
You have footsteps getting louder and louder before you turn around to see your face that you've missed for so long.
Without a word, Felix just rips his arms around you holding you for a moment. He then pulls away places a peck on your forehead and smiles "I've missed you so much. So glad you're here."
he looked at you from head to toe. Just taking a moment to fully take you in before taking you by your hand and pulling you out the door to your room so you could put your back down on the way to your room. He was talking about a few little changes that were made on the house, but they weren't even visible you wouldn't have noticed if he didn't tell you.
When he looked at you, you were still feeling the butterflies in your stomach he made you feel so warm so welcomed you always love that about him ."this you were going to have a really special guest besides you of course it's a new best friend of mine Oliver he's a really nice guy. He had a few hardships in his life better not to ask him about it we don't wanna make him uncomfortable don't we? But I promise you you'll get along really well."
You didn't mind getting to know friends of Felix he was such a cutie pie. How could his friends be unlike him? "he's gonna arrive soon, but now" he picks you up by your waist, his arms wrapped around you tight, squeezing you to the point where you almost had trouble breathing "I'm gonna celebrate our reunion. I planned on having a few drinks tonight."
You wrap your arms around his neck and hug him really tight "sure and never say no to a drink you know that. I missed you all so much really it's like a treat to be back here."
The reason you and Felix never dated was because you found out soon enough that he probably wouldn't be able to be in a working relationship. You you didn't wanna share your partner with anyone else and Felix found it hard to keep his dick in his pants, somehow love and sex didn't mean the same thing for him. It usually did for you.
You haven't had many sexual partners before and except for maybe one person they were all your ex boyfriends. you love Felix too much to lose him over a nonfunctional relationship.
The surprising part to even yourself was that you've never slept with him before probably because the both of you knew it was only get you into trouble and destroy what you already have with him. Not that he didn't try to at times you've kissed him before you've made out before he tried to take it even further, but you always blocked it off and he never asked any questions about it, it seemed like he just accepted it. but still you had really strong feelings for him if you knew it would work without any drama like that you wouldn't even hold back anymore, you really really wanted him, you really really loved him but anyone with a brain knew this would hurt both of you.
But maybe he changed you haven't seen him in a long time and you don't know what he's up to, so maybe things are gonna work out now.
you feel your feet touched the ground again, and his arms pull away from you. He still had that big beautiful smile on his face "I'm gonna leave you alone so you can change now. Dinner should be ready in about 30 minutes. I'll meet you downstairs then "
You know your head and watch him leave your room before you go to your shared bathroom. your touch up your make up a bit and go back to your room to pick an outfit for the dinner. You choose a light yellow summer dress with a delicate, pearl necklace and matching pearl bracelet for dinner. even though your family was really wealthy didn't dress up for dinner, but it was always something you were so excited about when you stayed at Saltburn. it felt like they were celebrating every day making everything special and even if it was over the top for some people it made you stay here really special.
you make your way downstairs to the dining room and sit down next to Venetia, giving her a big smile. you knew her parents titled her as out of control, but you've always got along with her even though you didn't really have a lot of similarities she was also really really close to you. You start chatting with her while waiting for everyone to join you at the table. there were only two empty seats now, and just asked, the Butler was pouring out the wine for everyone. The door opens with Felix, and an unknown guy dressed in suits entering the room. He walks over to the table and said down in front of you, his friend sat down in front of  Venetia.
"So this is Oliver, it's a second summer here in Saltburn and I bet the both of you are gonna get along really well."
Oliver looked really clever, and he would almost call him cute. He looks like the nicest guy not nice in the way Felix looked. It just wasn't the same. He looked so shy and sweet. You look at him and smile.  "I'm Y/N, pleasure to meet you"
"Oh, the pleasures on my side"
during the dinner, everyone was just catching up on what was happening. The focus mainly on you and Oliver.
" Oliver, darling tell me is your mom doing any better?" Elspeth ask him.
you immediately see, and Felix's face is annoyed by this question not that it was any of his business, but you could tell by now if he found annoying, or was annoyed by his family.
"Well, not really she's trying her best rehab right now.." Felix immediately cut him off.
"Mom stop asking such personal questions it's inappropriate."
Elspeth looked a bit shocked, but Felix sudden interruption. "but Felix I didn't mean it in such a way I was just genuinely curious, but well, then back to Y/N. How's your family doing? Is your mother alright? I miss her so much."
you could see Oliver and Felix whisper on the other side of the table. It looked like Oliver tried to calm Felix down a bit, but you weren't really sure what was going on.
"We are doing great, mom's better now and now that I have more time to spend with my family we're all really happy." You say.
after more catching up and small talk at the dinner table, you finish the three course menu, and Felix invites you and Oliver and Venetia out into the garden to get a few more drinks. They had a barkeeper for today, so that all of you could have a beautiful night together. you get an espresso martini for yourself and sit down watching the moon while talking with the others. The first one to go to bed was Venetia, she drank so fast she almost passed out. It sounded worrying, but everyone was used to it by now, so it was only you, Felix and Oliver left. Felix started sharing stories of your shared childhood with Oliver, and he seemed really sweet and invested in it.
" she's such a nice girl if I have to keep one person outside of my family in my life forever, I would definitely pick her that's why I immediately knew the both of you would get along. You're both amazing. I love you." Felix was such a lovely guy. The way he talked about you made your heart melt.
"Oliver tell me about you. How did you meet Felix?" You ask him while keeping eye contact.
"We go to the same university. He was really nice to me when my father died, he was practically the only one that cared for me.."
it almost seemed like he was nervous talking to you. He had a hard time keeping eye contact with you and was fidgeting around with the cuffs of a shirt while were looking at him.
you found him so adorable. You could tell well Felix liked him even if you didn't know much about him he had something so nice about him, something so real.
all of you keep going back-and-forth about school and details about your life when Felix gets up after finishing his third cocktail and goes to bed.
"If you need anything either ask Duncan or wake me up, okay? Y/N we share a bathroom, so don't be scared to knock if you need anything."
you know your head and watching walk off after that you turn your head to look at Oliver again.
he looked at your empty glass and back at you "I think I'll get another drink. Do you want something too?"
you felt kind of tipsy by now, but why not it was adorable how he paid attention to you, like that he seemed like such a gentleman.
"Sure why not... Just surprise me." He gets up with a smile and takes your empty glass with him. He comes back after a few minutes.
he hands you a glass of gin, tonic, and sits down next to you again.
“I see why Felix talks about you so much.”
he said looking at the moon while taking a sip from his cocktail.
You furrow your brow “What do you mean?”
“Well he talks a lot about you. You mean a lot to him but I can see why. “
“Oh, and why then ?”
he kept quiet for a moment before looking back at you .
“You’re gorgeous and smart. we barely know each other for two hours, and I already feel really comfortable talking to you.”
that felt like a really personal compliment. It even made you blush a little after saying that you didn’t feel like you was so shy anymore. He still seems super nice, super respectful and more like a introverted shy guy, but someone that was really shy wouldn’t say something like that , maybe you just have to be a bit more patient with him.
“That’s really nice of you to say thank you. you seem so nice too. I’m really excited about the summer. I think we are all gonna have a really good time together. Ugh I missed Saltburn so much.”
The both of you go back-and-forth a bit longer before finishing your cocktails and Oliver walks you to your room.everyone was asleep now, except the both of you in front of your door. You turn around to wish him a good night, but before you could even say anything, Oliver took a step closer the tips of your nose almost touching. The expression on his face was changed. It wasn’t so soft anymore. It was more intense “thanks for the beautiful night. I really appreciate it” his hand moves up to rest on your cheek, which was you more unexpected you barely knew him and he didn’t seem like a guy to do something like that before but now it felt like a completely different person was standing in front of you. You couldn’t even open your mouth and answer him. It wasn’t that you were bothered, but you were confused.
“Have a good night beautiful” he says before slightly come closer, your lips touch for a moment. It wasn’t even a kiss they were just slightly touching and you didn’t know what you do. You felt goosebumps all over your body. It was so surprising, but you didn’t know in which way if it was a good surprise or a w , it was just surprising. It made your stomach heat up you wanted to lean in and kiss him, but you didn’t know him and this was all really weird. He just walked off like nothing ever happened and you turn around and go to bed, like nothing ever happened.

Wedding Invitations
Miguel O'Hara x Reader
Summary: Y/n and Miguel take the day to distribute wedding invitations to the Spider-Gang. But in the midst of all the congratulations they forget to tell a very important member of the wedding party...
Warnings: Fluff, Spider-Gang family dynamics, Miguel's got a touch of baby fever
Author's Note: I FINALLY got around to writing this Miguel x Reader oneshot that's been in my WIP dump for ages. This can be read on its own, or as a continuation of my Hummingbird series.

You blinked around Spidey-HQ, buzzing with excitement and armed with a stack of cream-colored envelopes. The cards within had the following words printed in lacy gold lettering:
Miguel O’Hara and Y/n L/n Invite you to join their wedding celebration on Saturday, October 15,  2105 at 4:30pm St. Javier’s Cathedral 115 Hammond St
You’d visited Pavitr first, finding him tucked away in an alcove on the top floors where he went about carefully oiling his hair.
“FINALLY!” He squealed, sprinting away to wash his hands before gingerly accepting the invitation like you’d just handed him a million dollars. “You’re getting married!” He snatched one hand, then the other, splaying your fingers and searching for the ring, “Where is it? Where is it? I want to see it.”
You chuckled, “Calm down, Gollum.” You reached into your shirt, pulling out the chain where you’d been hiding the ring for the past eight months. “I don’t wear it very often. Art teacher and superhero - remember?”
It was a shame. It was a beautiful, vintage ring originally belonging to Miguel’s mother. He’d since updated it, replacing two of the missing stones with small burgundy gems that matched the color of his eyes. Even if you couldn’t wear it often, you kept it with you at all times, resting against your heart.
Pavitr began to vibrate with excitement, bouncing on his feet. “Can I-Can I tell-?”
“Yes, you can tell people.”
“Really?!” He brightened up.
“Yes. Miguel’s probably already sent out a general announcement by now.”
As if on cue both your watches beeped, a red notification popping up.
Announcement:  Y/n and I are getting married. Don’t get upset if you're not invited to the ceremony. There are literally thousands of you. Reception will be at Spidey HQ atrium Saturday, October 15, 2105 at 7pm. All are welcome.
“Perfect timing.” You said, smiling at the words Y/n and I are getting married. You still couldn’t believe it, even though you’d been sitting on the knowledge in silence for the past six months.
“Oh and Pavitr. Miguel will probably ask you this again later but… would you like to be a groomsman in the wedding?”
Pavitr’s lips trembled, then broke into the widest smile imaginable, brown eyes crinkling. He surged forward, wrapping his lanky arms around you and spinning you around.
“YES! YES! A million times yes!” He gasped. You may as well have gotten on your knees and asked for his hand in marriage. “Oh my goodness this is all I've ever wanted. What are the wedding colors? I need to get a new sherwani.” He finally let you down, grabbing your shoulders and shaking you desperately, “WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS SOONER?!”
You gripped his hands, your cheeks aching from how hard you were smiling. Pavitr's energy was unmatched and you could feel his joy rubbing off on you.
“It’s really going to be a simple ceremony. And we didn’t want to pressure any of you with the typical wedding prep stuff.”
He looked incredulous, “So no bachelorette party? No-no manicure days or spa days or...”
You shook your head no and his jaw dropped.
“WRONG!” He shouted, touching the tip of your nose with his finger, “Are you free next Saturday night? Yes? Good.” He shook his finger at you, “No wedding prep stuff? Really? Pah!” He threw his hands in the air, muttering as he walked away and started dialing up Gwen and Miles.
“You told Pavitr before you told me?!” Gwen asked, mouth agape. She pushed her lunch tray to the side, the excitement chasing away her appetite for the time being.
“Fuck that. You told Pavitr before you told me?!” Miles slammed the milk carton on the table, spilling a few drops, “I thought I was your favorite.”
“Piss off, Miles.” Gwen teased, ruffling his curls. "I'm her favorite."
“One semester abroad with Hobie and you’re already sounding like a Brit.” He teased back, never moving far enough apart from her that they weren’t touching.
She’d recently gone for a shag haircut. The tips of her dyed hair fading into a pale bubblegum blue. The new nose piercing completed the look and Miles was smitten.
You wrung your hands together. “Well I’m telling you now! And! I’m asking you to be part of the wedding party. So what do you say? Wanna be a groomsman and a bridesmaid?”
They didn’t even look at each other before saying, “Absolutely!” In perfect unison.
The rest of the day went similarly, full of excited squeals and hugs and twirls. Everyone at Spidey-HQ - minus some of the newcomers - knew who you were and didn’t hesitate to shout their joy, whooping and calling out across the atrium.
“CONGRATS, TEACH!”
“LET’S GO! SPIDER-WEDDING!”
“CONGRATULATIONS!”
Hobie leaned against the window, hands shoved into the pockets of his patchwork leather jacket and flashing every color of the rainbow.
He stuck his hand out without a word, a crooked smile on his face, “I don’t believe in state-sanctioned marriage, you know. You and Miguel are already married - have been for ages in my book.”
“You rummaged around in your bag for the last of the invitations, finally locating the envelope that had slipped into one of the inner pockets and out of sight.
You hesitated, trying to hide your disappointment, “... so does that mean you’re not coming then?”
Hobie quickly snatched the invitation out of your hands, slinging his arm around your shoulder and rubbing the top of your head with his knuckles. You laughed, shoving him away and fixing the tangles he’d made in your hair.
“Pffft, of course I’m coming. It’s important to you.” He shoved the cream-colored paper into his pockets alongside a couple posters he hadn’t found a proper place to plaster them on yet. “Don’t be ridiculous.” He smirked, “But I hope you’re not expecting me to show up in a suit.”
“Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.”
“And are you going to ask me to be a groomsman or something? Make a toast at dinner?” There was no contempt in his voice… If anything he seemed expectant. Happy.
“Actually, Miguel and I were hoping you could be the flower girl with May and Benjy.”
He brightened up, flashing a sunflower yellow and shooting off curls of newspaper print like fireworks.
“HA! I like it. I like it.” He pulled his hands out of his pockets, opening his arms wide and sighing like he was giving up on an age-old war, “Alright, get in here, girl. I wanna hug you.”
You giggled, scrunching up your nose in satisfied glee as Hobie finally gave into his softness. He liked to pretend he was cooler than everyone else in the room - and he usually was - but that didn’t stop him from also being the softest person you’d ever met.
“Congratulations.” He said, propping his head up on top of your head and mussing up your hair once again.
“Thanks, Hobie.”
You weren’t alone in spreading the news - Miguel was making his own rounds. Margo was the first one he’d told, by virtue of the fact that she was nearest to his office.
“Hey, Margo.” He said, rubbing the back of his neck. He held out the envelope, Margo’s headpiece peeling away from her sleek cornrows. Her eyes glittered purple, wide open and staring.
“Really?” She asked hesitantly, reaching out for the paper.
“Of course, Margo. You’re family. We want you there.”
Her eyes softened and she read through the invitation quietly.
“Y/n was also hoping you’d be a bridesmaid.” He tapped the additional paper sealed in her envelope. “Nothing fancy, but we wanted you at the front with everyone else. Miles, Gwen, Peter B, LEGO P-oof.”
Miguel huffed as Margo all but rammed into his chest, the edges of her flickering. Who knew virtual reality bodies were so durable and dense.
“Thanks.” She mumbled, trying to keep any emotion out of her voice.
Margo didn’t like to talk about home, preferring the VR life she led with the Spider-Society. They were her real family now… she just liked the confirmation.
“Anytime, kid.”
She cleared her throat, pushing him away as quickly as she’d hugged him. “Alright, get out of here. I’m sure everyone wants to see you right now.” She turned around, wiping at her eyes in real life. Her VR body did the same.
Miguel chuckled, rubbing his neck again. He wasn’t used to the kind of attention he’d been receiving since meeting you and learning to open up again. It was almost as if he was likable when he wasn’t acting like a complete asshole.
He was chased by compliments and congratulations all day, Spider-people stopping him to clap him on the back or to bump shoulders like they knew just how absolutely whipped he was.
Something about announcing your engagement to the world made the whole thing feel more real, like he could taste it as physically as he could taste your lips whenever he kissed you. He didn’t wear his engagement ring very often for the same reasons as you, but he slipped it on his finger halfway through the day, standing a little straighter, and looking a little prouder after doing so.
LEGO Peter was next and he’d practically swooned when Miguel had handed him his invitation between his thumb and pointer finger. He’d printed an extra-small version for him. Then he’d fainted when Miguel asked him to be a groomsman, his brick body going rigid and toppling back with the same rattle as a teacup saucer.
“I’m taking that as a yes!” Miguel called out, slipping his head back out of the portal into his own universe.
He needed to make a home visit for Jessica, but she had a champagne bottle ready to burst when Miguel appeared into her home in a crackle of color and brushstrokes.
“AHH! HA!” She tossed her head back with glee. Her mane of pitch black hair smelled like coconut and citrus. “CONGRATULATIONS! Malcolm! Malcolm, get your ass in here. Miguel’s arrived.”
Her husband slid across the living room entrance, a chubby three-year-old boy balanced on his hip and grabbing at his locs.
“Miguel!”
“Hey, Malcolm.”
“Mig!”
“Heyyyy, Jefferson.” Miguel laughed when the little boy grabbed at him, latching onto a strand of brown hair and tugging.
Jessica clicked her tongue, “Jeff, what have we talked about.”
“Sorry.” The boy apologized, patting Miguel’s head and slapping him in the face in the process.
“It’s alright, kid.”
“OOooooh. Get in here, Migs.” Jessica was grinning brighter than the sun, radiating warmth as she wound her arms around his ribs and used her strength to lift him off his feet and shake him like a rag doll.
“Careful, Jess. Can’t break the groom before his wedding.”
“Pfffft, Miguel’s not made of glass, honey.”
That much was obvious enough. Miguel had to keep his body crooked to avoid banging his head against the hanging ceiling lights.
“Congratulations, man.” Malcolm hugged him next, being notably gentler than his wife. He still slapped Miguel’s back hard enough to rattle his shoulders though.
Miguel stayed for a long while, until him and Jess had made their way through three bottles of champagne just because they could. Their bodies burned through alcohol way too quickly to get drunk - a fact that had disappointed Miles when he went off to college for the first time last year.
Jess and Malcolm leaned towards one another like sunflowers to light, with little Jefferson splashed across both their knees and struggling to stay awake as the sun pressed against the windows and turned their pale yellow walls golden.
That would be him someday, with you and your son.
The thought shook him to his core. First, because it was a secret hope that he’d never dared to even dream about and second, because it was now possible. Wonderfully, beautifully possible.
His heart began to flutter, the absence of you by his side suddenly feeling like a gaping hole instead of a subtle ache.
Jess seemed to understand that, making a show of looking at the clock and then down at her son’s open mouth drooling against Malcolm’s arm.
“We should get this little guy to bed.”
“On it.”
“I’ll head out then. Thanks for everything, Jess.”
She made a noise with her tongue, brushing off his thanks with a graceful wave of her hand. “Get out of here you big sap. And tell Y/n I said congratulations too! Actually, scratch that. I’m coming in tomorrow so I’ll tell her in person.”
Miguel chuckled, “Alright then.”
He gave a final hug to Malcolm and Jessica. Jefferson stirred in his mother’s arms just long enough to babble something that sounded adorably close to, “I’m not… I’m not sleepy. I-” before his eyes rolled back and he slumped onto Jessica’s shoulder.
You sat curled up in Miguel’s office chair, legs thrown over one of the armrests as you flipped through the pages of your book on the life of Aubrey Vincent Beardsley. Occasionally your eyes would flicker to the array of monitors, watching the careful web of universes as they flickered and morphed. Fluid, but stable, and in a perfect balance of chaos and order.
Miguel drifted into the room behind you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders and peppering the curve of your neck with kisses.
“Mi amor,” He murmured. You hummed happily, tilting your head further to give him better access. “How is everything going on with you?”
“Better now that you’re here.”
“That’s a pretty great answer.” He chuckled, finishing with a quick kiss to your lips. He came around, lifting you up with ease before sitting down in his chair and placing you in his lap, “And how are things in the Spider-Verse?”
You made a self-satisfied hmph sound. Thank god he’d finally stopped calling it the Arachno-Humanoid Poly-Multiverse. What a mouthful.
“Holding strong and steady.” You flicked your fingers to the side, pulling up the latest day report that you’d already handed two hours ago, “B76’s Black Cat and 1805’s Venom were the only anomalies. Done and dusted with no issue. Reports are on file under Project Catalyst.”
“Perfect.”
Miguel stretched comfortably, curling in on you and resting his head on your chest like the world’s most luxurious cat.
You snorted, blinking your book away with a snap of your fingers and running your fingers through his hair just the way he liked. He groaned softly when you lightly dragged your fingernails against his scalp.
“Right there, babe.” He encouraged, sighing with contentment.
You stayed like that for a long while, one of Miguel’s arms wrapped around your waist and his other hand snaking up your stomach to rub circles against your smooth skin. Unbeknownst to you, he was quietly thinking about what it might be like if you ever decided to have kids. If one day he’d be so lucky to lay like this against you and quietly talk to the little child growing in your stomach.
He shook his head, he was getting ahead of himself.
“Everything ok, Migs?” You curled your finger beneath his chin, gently tilting his face up to look at you. His eyes softened.
“Yeah. Everything’s perfect.”
You couldn’t help it, you blushed under the softness of his gaze. It was strange how you could get into hundreds of fist-fights, get knocked on your ass dozens of times over, and yet crumble at the sight of his auburn eyes. You didn’t mind the vulnerability though - you knew Miguel felt the same.
You looked down at his hands, noticing the flash of silver on his finger.
"You wore it today?"
He smiled when you took his hand in yours, kissing his palm, "Felt appropriate."
You tugged the necklace out from under your shirt, carefully slipping the ring off the chain. Miguel took it wordlessly from you, gently kissing your hand before sliding the ring onto your finger. It was warm to the touch after hours pressed against your heart and Miguel felt a surge of love flood his chest seeing you wear it.
“Busy day, huh?” You asked when he settled back down, holding your hand tightly in his.
He groaned, “You could say that. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many people talk to me in my life.”
You prodded him in the side, “That’s not saying very much.”
“Ouch.” He grinned, kissing your chest.
“Did everyone say yes to joining the wedding party?”
“Yes. You?”
“Yup.” Your lips popped on the end of the word.
Miguel grinned wide and unabashedly leaning closer to you, “Then we got ourselves a wedding,” he said, smiling against your lips. He tasted like coffee and cinnamon.
You chuckled, “Maybe we shouldn’t have sprung this on them so soon.”
Miguel shrugged, “We needed to tell them at some point, cariño. And it’s not like we’re doing all the extra stuff. They just need to show up to the church at this point.”
“I know that. But Pavitr seemed to disagree. Apparently I'm going to have a bachelorette party next weekend.”
He pouted, “No party for me?! I’m hurt.”
“Peter didn’t bring it up with you? I thought he'd be over the moon about being Best Man.”
Miguel’s head shot up, thick brows furrowing in confusion beneath a bed of ruffled curls, “I thought you were going to tell Peter.”
You tipped your head to the side, “I thought you were going to tell to Peter?”
“Yeah, LEGO Peter.”
Silence, thick and full of horror fell over both of you.
“Did… did neither of us tell Peter and MJ?” You whispered.
Miguel closed his eyes, his face plummeting into the soft skin of your chest, “Fuuuuuuuuuck.”
The double doors to Miguel’s office slid open with a groan of disappointment. Peter stood there with his legs splayed, carving out a disgruntled shape in his signature pink bathrobe that he never took off, especially with the new addition to his family.
Mayday clung to her father’s chest, her brother’s chestnut mop poking out from behind Peter’s shoulder. Benjy’s grin was gummy and wide and he wore matching noise-canceling headphones with his sister.
“Fuck.” You repeated, your face falling flat.
MJ leaned against the doorway and rubbed her temples with one hand, shoulders shaking with repressed laughter as Peter stalked forward, absolutely livid.
“You MOTHERFUCK—

can I please request for a Mordecai Heller x female reader? like reader is a showgirl who sings on stage like Mitzi one and tends to attract a lot of attention but backs out when they feel this murdercat plotting their death lmao. thank you 😁
heyo! I decided to do a looot of the cats for this one, since its p similar to my Peaky Blinders Jazz Singer post that I was fond of. GN Reader.
Being a Jazz Singer & Performer!
Rocky - When he was hired and met you for the first time, it was absolutely an "infatuation at first sight" situation. Pros!: He's unfailingly polite and sweet, he seems to play with even more energy when you two share a stage, his grin is very off-putting to creeps who shout up at the stage and harass you. Cons: He can get quite distracted when you two share a stage. Many times Zib has had to pull him back with the rest of the band, because he keeps unintentionally scooting closer to you.
The worst part of the Lackadaisy falling onto hard times is the fact you rarely worked there now - you had to sing at other clubs to make ends meet. One of Rocky's big motivators for getting the club back to its old self is you'd come back! Forever this time! (Probably). Rocky doesn't exactly have the time or money to visit the other clubs you work at, so he wants all of your attention during your infrequent visits to the Lackdaisy.
Freckle - Look, he's a shy kid, and the whole 'sneaking out under cover of night to do bootlegging/torpedo shenanigans' is still new. He doesn't have a lot of experience or frame of reference for what a good club singer is like, but Freckle thinks you've got to be one of the best. You have to be, right? Your voice is wonderful and you look positively celestial under the stage lights - wait, that's weird to think, right? Thank God he didn't say it out loud. ... He didn't, right?
Freckle hasn't the slightest idea of how to approach you, so it's up to Ivy and his cousin to drag him over and attempt conversation. It's... a little pitiable, but he's trying. That said, he's surprisingly outspoken and a little scary if someone tried to mess with you while you performed. You're used to the heckles and catcalls, but it's shocking to see that shy tabby jump up from his seat and raise his voice at them.
Ivy - She liked you from the moment she first saw you perform at the Lackdaisy, and that crush hasn't dulled over the months. She maaaay have kept a few posters that advertised the clubs you sang at, and may or may not have cajoled her way into those clubs so she could watch the show. She could easily sweet talk her way to backstage, too - seems you've got a fan.
When the Lackadaisy goes downhill, it's Ivy who wants to sweet talk you into returning. You'll bring in a crowd! The acoustics are great! Pretty pleeease? Her dad Ivy will pay you and not get in trouble until months later when the family accountant goes over the finances. Obviously she cares about the club's wellbeing, but she also wants to spend time with you! Though she's bold enough to just ask you outright. She's also bold enough to outright shout and fight anyone whose heckling you - throwing a heel is a favorite tactic.
Viktor - You're someone he saw often in the olden days, back when the club could afford to have you perform several times a week rather than once a month. Viktor never cared much for the cacophony the crowd and music made, though he knew objectively you were an excellent performer. Rather than endure the crowd, he'd listen to your voice drift across the caves backstage, rehearsing with the band or just by yourself. It was pleasant to listen to, and he could do so in private, either coming back from a job or about to go on one.
Once things began to fall apart, it's not as though he went around to clubs ... or anywhere, really. So if you stopped performing at the Lackadaisy, you might never see each other again. Choosing to stay (or at least do a few pity gigs) would lead to the surprising sight of the big, morose Slav working behind the bar and watching from there, rather than his previous hideouts. It's a little intense to be under that stare... but not all unpleasant? And given how sparse the crowd is, anyone making trouble and catcalling will get dealt with so promptly, they won't even have time to finish their wolf whistle.
Zib - Well, obviously he's going to be drawn in by an attractive singer. Come on. Zib can be smooth when he wants, chainsmoker-scent and rumpled clothes aside. The band likes to tease him mercilessly about it, but that doesn't stop him from cozying up while you two perform together and shooting his shot backstage after every show. Back when the Lackadaisy was thriving, he could afford to hang out at the other clubs you performed at; nowadays, though, that's not so likely.
Even so, starting up a friendship or even fling wouldn't be difficult. He's attracted to and interested in creative spirits, doubly so if you two had very different taste (so there's more to discuss!) and you got on well with the rest of the band. Late-night debates about this musician or that show over a game of cards and several bottles of wine, either together or with the rest of the boys, and waking up half-dressed and seriously hungover come sunrise. Opportunities for visiting would dwindle as the Lackadaisy's business dried up, though if you stayed on ... No, he wouldn't want that for you. If anything you'd be mentioning to him and the band that there's other places to perform to pay the bills. Well, it'd be food for thought.
Wick - Wick wouldn't call himself a music aficionado, especially what's listened to at these rowdy speakeasies, but he won't deny how hard it was to focus on his business associates when you were on stage. So when he discovered you often performed at his favorite club, it was a pleasant surprise. He really wanted to speak with you at some point, at least compliment the performance, but didn't want to come off as those typical entitled wealthy guys who get too fresh with ""lower"" class performers ... so sometimes you'd find flowers in the dressing room and an anonymous note of appreciation.
He finally gets a conversation when you're a guest at a posh party he's attending, or when you continue to perform at the Lackadaisy in spite of the dwindling crowd. It's a shame your large audience is missing, but at least it's way less awkward for him to strike up conversation when you come to the bar? He probably won't bring up the flowers. Oh god, what if you think that's weird. You probably assumed the flowers were some freak fan. Is he a freak fan? He's not, right? (It will take him like months of dating to finally admit to the flowers thing)
Serafine - A good-looking cat with a nice set of pipes is certainly someone she'd notice, especially if they were a regular performer at the Marigold Room and other places she frequented before that. If it was the former, she'd have plenty of chances to wink when you met eyes, "chancing" across you backstage or just being forward and chatting you up after the show. She certainly isn't shy about expressing her interest, and it could be a fun fling.
You do look adorable swinging your hips and swaying your tail along to the beat, not to mention the different get-ups you have to dress in. Serafine maaaay or may not have wanted to help pick a suit out, or help with make-up, or give you some of her jewelry to wear... It's half marking her territory and half she loves to lounge around your dressing room and be a pest. You'd never kick her out and she knows it. She'll do it in other clubs, too, though you have no idea how she keeps getting past security.
Nico - Like his sister, he has no qualms nor shame about trying to get your attention on stage. Unlike Serafine, though, he'd start doing it immediately and be a general pest after the show. The difference between his attention seeking and the other men's in the audience is he actually has some charisma when you two meet backstage, so you're only slightly inclined to tell him to buzz off. He wasn't much of a music expert, and he still isn't ... But he likes hearing you rehearse and hum to yourself, and it's endearing when he requests songs.
He's pleased when you get gigs at the Marigold Room, as it's easier to hang around before and after the show - and bonus, he gets to be extra aggressive with throwing creeps out to impress you! But if you're performing elsewhere then Nico will stop by. He might be bruised and/or bloody because he just left a job, but don't worry! Sometimes he'll even bring flowers or whatever - though without Serafine knowing, she'd never let him live it down.
Mordecai - He wouldn't approach you any differently from others - he'd still be his usual prickly, anti-social, often awkward self - in fact, he might avoid an avid performer, simply because they often have fans around them or at least people recognizing them. What could get his notice was someone whose real persona is very different from their ostentatious self on stage - more quiet and pensive, perhaps. Like any attempt at friendship, let alone romance, it's slow going with him.
That said, he's the type to admire professionalism in a performance. A well put together outfit, thoughtful musical arrangement (as if he's an expert ...). He wouldn't like a femme presenting singer have to wear skimpy clothes or tolerate a rowdy audience. If there was a questionable manager or creepy fan bothering them, Mordecai can deal with that, at least, not that he'd tell his friend/partner. Mordecai would generally glare down any touchy fans and annoying admirers like a jealous terrier. This amuses Mitzi to no end.
Asa - Simply put, he saw you performing at a ritzy party he was invited to and reached out to your manager so you might perform on a weekly basis at the Marigold Room. Very professional! He'd send flowers with his name to the dressing room afterward, would make sure you're finding everything to your liking and not being bothered by anyone. Requests to continue performing would bypass your manager to being nice, short handwritten notes.
Eventually he'd pay you extra and treat you to a nice dinner afterward, if you were comfortable with it. If you let the older man down, he's not too bothered. He'd continue the friendly business relationship and would still send flowers and so on. He'd rather keep you as a good business associate and continue to enjoy the performances than let his silly feelings get in the way. Alas, he is hopeless at discussions of your music. My guy called a ukelele a tiny guitar.
Wes - He never hung around the Marigold Room after hours - it's his workplace, and not really his vibe - but it's very hard to resist not sitting by for an hour (or three) with a drink while you finish your set. Sometimes you two will meet eyes, or he thinks you are, and he considers dropping backstage to say ... hello? He's an 'employee', so isn't checking up on you a normal thing to do? Make sure you're satisfied with the Marigold Room and all that. Right.
Ironically that's how he's finally able to meet the singer he's been mooning over for months. A drunk patron was getting too cozy on your way out, and Wes happened to be there. His face and ... charming demeanor is good for scaring off upper class wimps. So there's that. He's not so bad, though - clumsy, and prooobably realizes you're out of his league. You get to see more of his earnest side when you two meet outside of the Marigold Room, where his fellow murderous gangsters coworkers aren't watching yalls every move with popcorn in hand.

TICK TOCK, TIMES UP
An established friend of the triplets, but also Chris' ex visits them in L.A. He wants you back. What will happen after a late-night encounter in the kitchen
Paring: ChrisxF!reader Warning: 18+ Smut. Notes: Listened to X^2 by Tuxy Music while I wrote this. Enjoy! Type: One-shot
Tumblr media
‘’Are you okay?’’ Nick asked when you suddenly sat up and swung your legs off the couch. He pushed himself up, following your moves, and gently placed his hand on your back when he saw you putting a hand to your forehead. You let out a faint sigh and dropped your head slightly.
You and the triplets were enjoying a night of lazing about on the couch, watching a movie when you started feeling slightly ill. You had been laying in front of Nick on the middle of the three couches, his arm draped over you while Matt and his girlfriend, Elle sat cuddling on the couch nearest to the window, and Chris sat with his feet propped up on the center table, slouching into the couch closest to the kitchen.
‘’I think so. Just a little tired,’’ you said, waving a hand through the air, not wanting anyone to worry
‘’You sure?’’ Nick asked, starting to rub your back gently
‘’We spent a lot of time in the sun at the beach while you guys were filming. Well… she did. I hid under my hat and an umbrella, sipping on ice-cold pina coladas. She probably got too much sun,’’ Elle said leaning forward to look at you
‘’Why don’t you go lay down for a bit, (y/n)?’’ Matt asked looking overly concerned. You smiled at him warmly, and at the way he moved to the edge of the couch, ready to jump and help if anything was seriously wrong.
‘’I think I might,’’ you said and smiled at them all as you pushed yourself from the couch and stood up.
‘’Call us if you need anything,’’ Chris said as you started making your way to Chris’s room.
‘’Thank you,’’ you said, glancing over your shoulder at him with a grateful smile.
Chris’ eyes followed you all the way until you turned the corner to go down the stairs to his room. He shifted on the couch, pulled his legs off the table, and sat forward. Nick chuckled and shook his head while Matt rolled his eyes, a smile playing on his lips. They looked at each other knowingly and then looked at Chris again. He lifted his can of soda to his lips, lost in his thoughts of you.
You and the triplets had been friends for as long as any of you could remember. You grew up together in Boston, just a few streets over and went to the same high school. It was a close bonded friendship in a group of tight knitted friends. Everything was nostalgic to you when they had left Boston because every place reminded you of them and the rest of your friends. It was a friendship that few had the blessing to experience – a lot of friendships came and went with other people around you, but your friendship stood firmly in place even when others tried to come between it. It was something that no one could take away from you no matter how hard they tried.
They had invited you to come and stay with them in L.A for a few weeks over the summer to take your mind off losing a close family member and you were eternally grateful to them, because you had no idea how you were going to get through the loss. However, they definitely knew how to keep you and your mind busy so you wouldn’t linger in heartache. You also got along really well with Matt’s girlfriend, which was an added bonus in your close circle.
‘’What’s going on?’’ Elle asked when she saw the exchanged looks between the brothers.
‘’I told you how they used to be in a relationship and Chris screwed it up. Dumbest thing he ever did. He still wants her though,’’ Matt replied as Elle snuggled closer to him, pulling her legs up onto the couch, tucking them under herself.
‘’Shut the fuck up, Matt,’’ Chris said, ‘’I never intended on hurting her. I loved her,’’ he said, and then dropped his voice, ''I always have and I still do.''
‘’But what happened?’’ Elle asked, quizzically and genuinely interested because she had seen the looks you and Chris gave each other when one or the other was looking away. Elle noticed the longing and lust in both your and Chris’ eyes and, she also noted the love that shimmered through overriding both the longing and lust. She couldn't piece together what was going on and the brief answer Matt had given her when she asked didn’t satisfy her curiosity, but Matt also explained that it wasn’t his place to really tell her. She also threw out a few casual questions while the two of you were at the beach all day, but you changed the subject every time Chris’s name came up. Now though, with Chris there, she figured she might be told what had actually happened, and if not, she would let it go.
Chris sighed and slumped back onto the sofa, ‘’A few months after we moved here, a mutual friend of ours told me (y/n) was seeing someone else because she couldn’t handle the distance between us. Our friend kinda followed her, and caught her going into the guy's house. I was so hurt when our friend told me, that I jumped the gun and, I thought doing the same thing to her was the way to go. I didn’t even wait to talk to (y/n), I just went and…fucked it up that same night I was told. Told and shown – our friend took photos, so I saw her going into the house and it looked like they were holding hands or I was just so upset I thought it looked like it. I fucked up. Literally. I wanted her to feel the hurt I was feeling so I fucked someone else,'' Chris said and shook his head as if he were still in disbelief of what had happened. What he did! What their friend did!!
''The shitty thing about this is, (y/n) never was with anyone else…not in that way. She was tutoring a kid, that’s why she went to his house. When I got suspicious of what was happening we did some investigating and the parents even told us that they were there with them the whole time. They don’t have much money and the kid was struggling in a subject and (y/n) offered to help not only the kid but the parents too… so that they could better understand how to help him. That was it…she was kind enough to help knowing they couldn't afford a tutor regularly or extra classes so she showed them how to help him and in the end, her repayment was a shitty friend breaking up their relationship in a sneaky way. Chris would never have done what he did if our so-called ‘friend’ hadn't interfered. That 'friend' was after Chris, that's why she did it. Is it even worth saying that friend is no longer part of our lives?'' Nick said and got up, then went and sat next to his brother, knowing he still had so many emotions coursing through his veins – the love for you, the guilt, the hurt, and feeling perplexed on what to do about the situation.
''But…it’s like…you were tricked…right? Shouldn’t she understand that?’’ Elle asked
Chris shook his head vigorously, ''I still hurt her. It doesn't take away that I didn't talk to her before I acted on my impulses. I was so fucked up when our friend told me, I didn’t even talk to Matt or Nick. (Y/n) forgave me because she loves my brothers and family as much as they love her, but she said she could never forget and to this day she won’t talk about it. She will be friends with me, but nothing more,’’ Chris said feeling defeated, but he had a smidgin hope in him. It wasn’t much – like a drop in the ocean, but it was hope nonetheless. That very morning, he saw, or rather, heard something that had given him a glimmer of hope.
Elle gave Chris a warm smile, ‘’maybe you should try a little harder. You never know.''
Chris returned her a smile but it was weak; he had been trying to talk to you ever since he had confessed, but to no avail. You flat-out refused, always cutting him off as soon as he mentioned the word ‘talk’. However, he was willing to keep trying.
Tumblr media
Chris had just gotten out of the shower and was getting ready to put his pajamas on when he heard a noise downstairs. He was staying in Nick's room while you were there, staying in his room. There were a few times he thought how ironic it was that he hardly ever stayed in his own room and mostly slept in Nick’s room but with you there, all he wanted to do was leave Nick's room and go back to his. He picked his phone up off Nicks bed, holding it up to look at the time, and frowned when he saw that it was well after midnight. His brothers and Elle went to visit a friend who had set up a gaming night so he knew they wouldn’t be back until at least dawn. The gaming nights could go on for hours or even surpass 24 hours on the rare occasion. Chris had stayed behind in case you needed anything, or needed help if you felt any sicker. He had no plans on disturbing you, only hoping that you would feel better by morning. He always wanted the best for you, no matter what or no matter the circumstances between the two of you. He knew that if one day you met someone else, he was going to have the toughest time accepting it, but he knew he loved you more in his life than not having you in his life at all.
Chris glanced over his shoulder again when he heard another noise and thought he better go and see if everything was okay. He left the room feeling somewhat apprehensive, though he had no idea why. Maybe knowing that it was just the two of you alone? For the first time in a year a half it was just the two of you with no distractions and no where for you to run to.
As he descended the stairs, his footfalls silent on the hardwood floors, he looked towards the kitchen and saw you standing at the fridge getting yourself a bottle of water. He stopped dead in his tracks when he saw you in nothing but a thin white, short, little top that showed off your midriff and a pair of black t-back panties that rode low on your narrow hips. When you closed the fridge door and turned around, Chris’s heart thumped against his chest - your breasts were straining against the little top, and it showed off your toned midriff. Even from that distance, he could see your nipples through the thin fabric. It took him a good minute before he managed to lift his eyes up and off your chest. He licked his lips, remembering the taste of you…remembering your nipple in his mouth, teasing you, driving you wild.
He chuckled as he looked at your hair – woman envied it because it was thick but you hated it due to being wild and uncontrollable at times but, that was the exact reason Chris loved it. There was nothing better, in his opinion, than clutching a handful of your hair in his fists. Your big eyes always had a sparkle to them, even on your worst days, and even from that distance, Chris could see them sparking in overhead light as you gazed to the ceiling and blew a stray strand of hair off your face. You had rosebud lips that were full and pouty, and you were the picture of innocence, despite your attire.
He watched you walk to the table and pick a grape from a bunch that was bought earlier that day…that he had bought earlier that day. He smiled wider knowing you loved cotton candy grapes and he had gotten them specifically for you, in fact, he had gotten everything he knew you loved. From your favourite chocolates to your favourite beverage. He had no idea if had noticed but he even sorted your favourite candy out and separated the colours into little individual bowls, knowing you preferred some flavours above others and loathed the rest. The smile, however, turned into a frown when you closed her eyes, lifted the bottle of cold water, and held it up to your chest for a few seconds before rolling it around to your neck. It was the middle of summer and the temperatures were soaring but he still worried that you still weren’t feeling well.
Chris continued silently down the stairs and then stopped next to the table, quietly putting his phone down on a few printed papers showing their latest picks in merch. When you opened your eyes, you simultaneously gasped as your eyes widened and then you let out a scream, throwing, your bottle of water at who you thought was a perpetrator for a split second. Chris laughed and caught the bottle like a pro in his hand, mid air. Just a minute ago, he had been concerned that you might still be feeling ill but, on the contrary, it seemed that you weren’t doing too bad.
‘’Jesus, Chris!’’ you exclaimed, your hand flying up to your heart that was now pounding against your chest
‘’I see we have to start teaching you to throw a little better,’’ he said, and threw the bottle up into the air. It flipped over twice while in motion and then came down only for him to catch it perfectly.
‘’I… didn’t want to hurt you,’’ you said, dropping your hand to your side again.
Chris almost doubled over with laughter. ‘’Anything you say, sweetheart,’’ he said and held out the bottle of water for you.
‘’That was pretty bad, huh?’’ you asked with a giggle, taking the water back
‘’Fucking awful,'' he said honestly, ''but you’re pretty much great at everything you do, so it’d be unfair to the rest of us if you were perfect at everything,’’ he said
‘’Well, that escalated from me being great to perfect, so thank you. You’re pretty great at everything too, so…’’ you said and shrugged your shoulders
He smiled at you and ran a hand through his still damp hair, ‘’how are you feeling?’’ he asked
‘’Actually, I feel great. I think I might have been a little dehydrated… that’s… all…’’ you replied, your words trailing off when you realized Chris was standing before you in nothing but a towel riding dangerously low on his hips. Suddenly, every one of your senses heightened. His fresh, masculine scent that reminded you of ambroxan, it had a warm woody, leather, and spicy facets. The smell enveloped you, comforted you and his near-naked body sent a pleasant shiver down your spine. He looked perfect with his damp hair and that chuckle escaped him as you looked on, had you shifting from one foot to another on the spot. You were enamoured by him and tried to avert your eyes but they refused to co-operate. You realized how wet you were getting just having him so close to close to you again. Every molecule in your body tingled just at the sight of him…the thought of him touching you was almost overwhelming.
‘’You okay?’’ Chris asked and as his eyes raked over your body, you became acutely aware that you were barely wearing anything. You took a deep breath that helped your chest heave and pushed out towards him. You only gave a nod, unable to form words…too scared to form words, but not because of him, but you were scared of what you might say or verbally express.
Chris, looked at you with an intensity you had never really seen before. It wasn’t intimidating, it was alluring and it was mixed with a pinch of tenacity and a sprinkle of courage. Chris on the other hand, saw hurt in your eyes and it killed him that he had been the one to make the sun set behind your eyes, even though for the most part they hid the past. He shook his head ever so slightly, deciding on the spot that it was now or never.
‘’(Y/N),’’ Chris said and took a step towards you, closing the gap between you two, ‘’you can’t go on with your heart on loan. Your heart aches and I want to heal it. My heart aches! We can heal together. If there is ever anything you need to know, it’s that I felt like my world fell apart when all that shit happened and I didn’t think clearly. The hurt I felt overtook all reasoning. Can we please fix this? You’re too scared to take my hand and believe the truth, but please try. I will never break again and I can’t sever what we had. What we have.’’
You swallowed hard and gazed at him – Chris had never quite put things that way or expressed his thoughts or feelings to you like that. He was growing up. However, you shook your head slowly and felt the tears starting to build up and sting behind your eyes.
‘’Why won’t you just talk to me?’’ he asked and you turned to start walking away, but Chris grabbed your wrist. ‘’Why?’’ he asked, persistent
‘’Because Chris…’’ you said, your feelings for him rushing forward like a freight train, ‘’…because I might say something I shouldn’t.’’
‘’What?’’ he asked, genuinely confused.
You groaned and bounced ever so slightly on your spot, wanting to get away. You were trying to hold your composure, but you could feel yourself starting to come unglued. His hand slid from your wrist, into your hand and he squeezed it lightly.
‘’Just talk to me!’’ he said starting to raise his voice with frustration
All your feelings started bubbling over, which you had desperately tried to push away, and Chris wouldn’t let you go so you could go simmer down. ‘’I can’t because I'm scared I might say something like I still love you!’’ you yelled back, the words had just tumbled out your mouth. You couldn’t believe you just said that, but it was like…you were a glass full of emotions and Chris had turned a tap on, over flowing you and the overflow were the words.
Your eyes widened and you gasped, then clasped a hand over your mouth. Chris slowly grinned and took another step towards you, his eyes locked with yours and something you hadn’t seen for along time in his eyes gleamed – a mischievous glint. ‘’I love you too,’’ he said, letting go of your wrist and lifting his hand to your cheek. You let your hand fall from your mouth as he tilted your head up to meet his. ‘’I love you more than I can ever express.’’
You let out a soft whimper and stood on your tippy toes meeting his lips. You pushed your lips to his and then pulled back. Chris slipped an arm around your waist and placed his hand on the small of your back, then pulled you closer to himself. You smiled again, your lips inches from each other as you snaked a hand around to the back of his neck and although you knew he wanted to kiss you, you also knew he was waiting for you to make that first bold move. He needed you to.
You put your lips on his and kissed him, then again, and again until neither could suppress your urges any more any more, letting your relentless love break the surface as you both parted your lips. Your tongues intertwined and danced as you deepened the kiss, craving and savouring the taste of each other. You stood up on your tippy toes again, wanting more of him. Just as you stood on your tippy toes, Chris’ hand moved down to your ass and cupped a cheek then squeezed it. You let out a muffled, soft moan, pushing your body to his and grinding against his hard dick just as Chris's phone started to ring.
‘’Fuck!’’ Chris shouted when he pulled from the kiss. He wanted to ignore it but he couldn’t. He wouldn’t have been able to concentrate on anything if he had to wonder the whole time if it was one of his brothers needing to speak to him. Or his mom and dad.
‘’Answer,’’ you said and Chris reached over and grabbed his phone off the table.
You bit your bottom lip studying him again. You had never met anyone like Chris and even though you knew it was wrong, and unfair to whom ever you were with at the time, you couldn’t help it and constantly compared other men to him. He was right, you always had you heart on loan…because it belonged to him and you always had it on loan for him because you did love him, but maybe it was time to stop punishing him and herself.
Lost in your thoughts, you weren’t paying attention to what Chris was saying on the phone. He had become background noise as your mind kept trying to resolve the matter, but when he said the name ‘’Charlotte’’ you suddenly found yourself back in reality, in the present room with Chris again. It was as if you had been yanked from a dream and dropped back down to earth. You looked at Chris when you felt his eyes on you. He was leaning against the table, staring at you intently. Very intently. He searched your face for something. Was he trying to read you?
Knowing you had let your guard down and feeling somewhat vulnerable, you started walking away but when you got half way to the stairs, you felt Chris grab your arm gently. You stopped in your tracks and Chris stepped around you to stand in front of you, and held out his hand, then waved his index finger in the air from side to side, indicating to not leave. You felt your breath hitch in your throat, and felt yourself getting wetter with that finger he was moving around. Oh, he did great things with those long fingers.
‘’Please,’’ Chris mouthed to you. You gave him a short nod and a half smile, turning one side of your mouth up at the corner.
Chris narrowed his eyes at you, not sure of your response to him, then he closed his eyes for a second and let out a sigh, then said ‘’no Charlotte, I’ve already told you that I -’’Chris was saying when he was clearly cut off, and who ever was on the line with him, was irritating him. He opened his eyes and started walking back to the table.
You turned on your heels to walk away, to go back downstairs but you forgot about your shoes that you had placed next to the wall earlier, near the stairs so you could take them down, but failed to do so. Your foot got caught in the flip-flop, throwing you off your gait, and your arms flailed through the air as you tried to regain your balance. You were shit out of luck though, and went tumbling to the hard floor and landed with a thud on your hands and knees.
‘’Holy shit! (Y/N),’’ Chris said from behind you. You pulled a face, scrunching up your nose as pain shot through your hand, over your wrist and up your right arm as you heard Chris’ foot steps pounding on the floor as he ran to you.
‘’Are you okay?’’ he asked, stopping front of you and crouching down.
‘’I…yeah…’’ you said with a nod and looked up into his blue eyes. Your arm was a little sore but it was nothing to make a fuss over
‘’Are you sure?’’ he asked putting a warm hand on your cheek and brushed his thumb over it.
‘’Uh-huh,’’ you said with a short nod, loving his soft fingers on your skin. His hand slid gently and affectionately down your cheek to your neck and over your shoulder, then down your arm. You narrowed your eyes at Chris who could no longer suppress the grin that crossed his face.
‘’Come on,’’ he said and pulled you up gently, then stood back and looked you up and down to see that you were in tact and not hurt. When he was satisfied, he looked at you and the grin got wider. ‘’See what happens when you try and run away?’’ he asked
You lifted your arms from your side and playfully pushed him on his chest and started to side step him to get past him but he shook his head and grabbed your arm, pulling you to the wall. He pushed you against it, your back making contact with cool wall.
‘’Hey,’’ Chris said into the phone, ‘’I can’t make it, I told you that already.’’
Chris stood in front of you and extended his free arm, putting his hand up, palm flat against the wall, next to your head. He locked eyes with you, looking down while you tilted your head up slightly. You heard the feint voice on the other side of the line and Chris only shook his head and ended the call, tossed his phone to a pile of merch clothing he was going through earlier and just haphazardly dropped to the floor.
Chris hadn’t looked away once, not even tossing his phone, while you pulled your eyes off the soft landing pad for the phone and looked back at him. You raised your brows in a curious gesture.
Chris shook his head slightly, ‘’That was just an influencer we know. She gets drunk and phones us to ask if we want to party with her which never happens so it gets irritating. She’ll phone tomorrow and apologize and do the same thing will happen tomorrow night. Against my better judgment I always answer because I don’t want to be rude, So why were you leaving?’’ he asked
Your response was an unblinking stare and then you glanced at the phone again quickly. ‘’I thought…’’ you said softly, trailing off
‘’Thought what?’’ he asked, pushing for an answer
‘’You were busy,’’ you responded, barely a whisper
‘’I wasn’t. Unless it’s you or my family, I’m not busy. Look, (y/n),’’ he said and sighed, ‘’one of the things I took away from what happened when I fucked up so bad is that I love you and only you. I discovered just how much I love you. Were you going to come back up?’’ he asked, his frustration starting to grow
‘’I don’t know, I got tired’’ you said
Chris sighed and swept the palm of his hand over his face in an effort to control his frustration. He wanted to scream but instead, calmingly said, ‘’you weren’t tired a few minutes ago.’’
‘’I…I just got tired,’’ you said and Chris stepped real close to her. He shook his head from side to side, slowly and put his other hand on the wall beside your head. You looked up at him as he looked down, meeting your eyes again.
‘’What changed? We were ready to fuck. You wanted my dick, (y/n), I know you did! I know all your tell tail signs. We fucked enough for me to know every sign there is that you were ready. What happened?’’ Chris asked and even though you was caged, he loved that you weren’t one bit scared of him. You was captured and cornered but you showed no fear. He loved that you were always, always comfortable around him.
‘’Answer me, (y/n),’’ he said and your breathing picked up, your chest rising and falling
‘’What?’’ you asked in a breath, with a small shake of your head
Chris moved in even closer to you, bending his elbows slowly, ‘’do you want to fuck me?’’ he asked
You closed your eyes, your breathing didn’t slow and you unconsciously bit your lower lip, not by rolling your lips between your teeth, but in a needy way, a seductive way. Chris smiled and leaned in to whisper in your ear, ‘’I think you do. I think that's exactly what you want. I was in the room this morning looking for a t-shirt while you were showering so I know what you did in there because I heard you, and I also know you want the real thing.’’
Chris was close enough that, you breasts were brushing against his chest as your breathing elevated. Chris started getting hard, and the heat washed through him. ‘’I could be wrong though. Maybe you don’t want my dick in you, stretching you, making you cum…filling you up with my cum…’’
The bottle of water you were holding, slipped through your hand and fell to the floor but neither cared. You opened your eyes and locked yours with his. There was a desperation in them. A need. A craving. A hunger. They all matched the look in his. He knew she still wanted him.
‘’Say it. Say ‘‘I don’t want you to fuck me, Chris,’’’ he said
You let your bottom lip bounce back into place and shook your head slowly but only slightly, though, deliberately. Left first, then right.
‘’(Yn), if you don’t answer me, if you don’t say it…I’m ripping that top off, with your panties then, I’m throwing you onto the couch and we’re fucking. Tick Tock,’’ he said in a low voice that made you tingle
You rolled your plump lips between your teeth and blinked at him, then you dropped your eyes. You lifted an arm between yourself and Chris, accidentally brushing the bulge under the towel. Chris sucked in a sharp breath and his hand curled up into a fist against the wall.
‘’Time's running out, baby girl,’’ Chris said through clenched teeth, and when you still didn’t look at him or reply he gave up on the stand off. He was willing to give up his position…in a sense. He grabbed the back of your head and pulled your head closer to his. Your lips brushing, he said, ‘’times up,’’ and pushed his lips to yours.
He smiled when his lips parted yours and your tongue was the first to invade. Like a strike to flint, you both ignited. Chris didn’t want to go all the way downstairs and the couches were the next best thing. Without disconnecting, he turned you around and guided you to the living room. Once next to the couch, Chris’s hands found your delicate little sting panties and you gasped into his mouth when it snapped apart with the first strong tug and silently hit the floor. He then fisted two handfuls of you top and since there were a few buttons at the top, and was so thin, it was easy for him to rip the material in two. He shoved it off your shoulders and down your arms until it was cascading to the floor. As the material settled around your feet, you yanked the towel off of him and tossed it aside. Your hands went back to him and ran them along his V line leaving Chris to suck in a sharp breath.
You smiled and pulled away from the kiss. ‘’Where’s everyone? Shouldn’t we go to the -’’
‘’They went out,’’ he said cutting you off, ‘’they won’t be back for awhile.’’
You smiled again and you were just going to fall to your knees wanting to desperately taste him again, but he easily lifted you and threw her onto the couch. He was torn for a second wanting your warm mouth and tongue around his cock again – you were so good at it, but he needed to be inside you again. He needed to feel your warm pussy enveloping his painfully hard dick. He needed to be one with you again. You let out a squeal, bounced once and steadied yourself with your elbows and feet against the cushions.
‘’We can do all that later…and trust me, I wanna taste you again too cause I’ve never had anything sweeter but right now I need to fuck that tight little pussy so bad,’’ he said said, scrambling onto the couch. With your legs splayed open showing your oh so smooth pussy to him, he could tell you were soaking wet, along with his pre-cum he knew you would be just fine. There were no words to describe the feeling of her naked flash against him, especially while inside you.
He got between your thighs, aimed at your pussy and then he thrust deep inside knocking the breath out of both of you simultaneously. You were wet against him, but so fucking tight, he didn't think he would be able to move in and out.
"Jesus," he groaned when you choked his cock further using the muscles surrounding it. He collapsed on top of you, hooking your knee with one arm and caging your head with the other. He felt your hands slide around the small of his back, then your hips shifted, grinding against him, and suddenly he was gone and the fire took over. He pulled nearly all the way out, dragging a moan from you, then slammed back in with an answering grunt. Then again. And again. Your hips lifted with his, helping him dig deeper, and maximizing your contact. Every inch of your body was touching his and he finally dropped your leg, then kissed you deeply, sensually. You moaned with pleasure and he pulled from the kiss, feeling your pussy around him starting to slowly contract. He sat up and sped up his thrusts, desperate to feel you fall apart around him again. And you did.
‘’Already?’’ Chris asked. You nodded and clamped around him with a vice-like grip as your orgasm elevated.
‘’Ohhh fuck,’’ you said and reached out, your arms above your head, trying to find anything to grip onto. Chris leaned over you, and closed his hands over yours, intertwining his fingers with yours. You cried out as your orgasm hit full force, almost deafening Chris, but he gladly would have taken a slight loss of his hearing to hear you scream in pure ecstasy, because it was him making you feel like the world shook to the tenth degree and it was him feeling your pussy clamp around his thick, long dick.
When you finally stopped shaking, he sat up again and grinned down at you. His smirk was the sexiest thing you had ever seen and he certainly had the right to be wearing it after giving you an orgasm that rocked every nerve in your body.
‘’Fuck off…it’s been awhile,’’ you said with a laugh
Chris laughed and leaned over you again, wanting to kiss you once more. You were the best he had ever had, hands down and he wanted more of you in every way possible.
As you kissed, he pulled out, making you whimper into the kiss. You pulled your head back, breaking the kiss, giving him a confused look.
‘’Whose pussy is this?’’ Chris said sitting up straight again
‘’Yours, Chris! Always,, all ways’’ you said, a twinkle in your eye that he hadn’t seen for a long time Chris, still smiling, diving you crazy, swiped his thumb over your clit. He had always done that, knowing you were sensitive after a massive orgasm. He was a tease, knowing it drove you both wild and crazy, colliding in an incredible sensation, only leaving you wanting more.
‘’Fuck! Chris!’’ you said after a body jolt and taking in a sharp intake of air
Chris chuckled, ‘’I wanna hear you say it,’’ he said
‘’Fuck me, Chris,’’ you said through gritted teeth
‘’Be nice,’’ he said chuckling
‘’Now!’’ you answered back, making him laugh
‘’Fuck yes!’’ he said and got off the couch and put his knees on the floor. Thank the fuck you tossed the towel so close because you weren’t great at throwing things, after all. You began to protest but he grabbed you and pulled you to him. He turned you to so your face and tits were facing the cushion. He drank in the spectacular view before him, thanking his lucky stars you were back in his life – he now had you as his best friend and lover again. It was the prettiest pussy and ass he had ever seen and not wanting to take his eyes off you, but having to as he felt the pressure still growing in his dick and wanting to be released. He kept your legs between his, nearly pressing your thighs together, he worked his cock back into her pussy, burying it to the hilt.
"Oh my God, FUCK CHRIS!’ you exclaimed, your head came off the couch and your back arched.
He leaned forward, ‘’you feel so fucking amazing,’’ he breathed and found your lips, then kissed you. It was the most amazing kiss that bordered and bounced between rough and sensual, only leaving you with wanting so much more. He sent one hand to your clit and the other skated up your spine and around your body to a breast. You broke the kiss with his first thrust and moaned loudly. The second thrust, took all of him.
‘’Holy shit, that’s so deep,’’ you said through a laugh
‘’You okay?’’ Chris asked, keeping himself from moving
‘’A-fucking-mazing. Don’t stop, Chris,’’ you said almost breathlessly still taking in how amazing it felt to have him in you, filling you up and so deep you could almost taste him.
With a laugh, Chris started thrusting into you with fervent. He worked faster on your clit and moans of the utmost pleasure filed the room from both of you. Chris’ hand moved from your breast to your neck and he gently pulled you back so you was kneeling with your back plastered to his chest.
"Jesus you’re perfect, (y/n),’’ he said next to your ear
‘’I’m… going to… cum so hard,’’ you said feeling the build up in your muscles.
‘’I can feel it. Cum for me, baby girl,’’ he said as you grew tighter at every thrust and wetter, too. ‘’I’m close too.’’
Your breathing got faster, your chest rising and falling rapidly. Your skin had a fine sheen to it. ‘’Oooh Fuuuck, yes, yes, yes!’’ you screamed, and he was prepared for your intense grip on him, the rush of cum, and the contractions around his cock. But the shaking. Fuck.! Your arms tried to find purchase, first on the couch, then by reaching back for him. Your hips lurched as your tried to fuck him back. A scream tore out of you and Chris was rewarded with a wet sensation against his groin area. His hand left your clit so he could encircle your waist to hold you through it. His other hand stayed lightly on her neck but he moved his forearm between her breasts and clutched you close as his own climax rushed forward.
‘’Oh Fuck! I’m…’’ Chris moaned, then let out a lengthy groan with pleasure as his climax hit him head on. He wasn’t even able to complete his sentence as a massive load was pumped into you and, you was triggered into another orgasm as he filled your womb near to bursting. Your orgasm ripped through your body and you screamed as another flow of your juices were released. Chris eased his grip around you when you pushed forward and collapsed on the couch. Chris, although panting hard and still pumping in and out of you slowly as you rode out your climax, smacked your ass and squeezed it, knowing it he left a slight bruise it would mean he got to kiss it better the following day, which would result in fucking once again. It was a win win situation. He smiled at the perfect view in front of him, not just you were the sexiest most desirable woman but that it was YOU in front of him. You were perfect. You were both wet, dripping and glistening from cum and juices when you murmured, ‘’Chris,’’, pulling him from his memorised state of pure bliss.
‘’Yeah, (y/m)?’’ he said said.
You let out a small, exhausted laugh, ‘’can we do that again?’’ you asked
Chris let out a laugh and leaned forward as he pulled his still-hard dick out of you.
‘’Fuck yes! I’m planning on doing that every day, multiple times a day, with you,’’ Chris said and found her lips when she lifted her head.
You didn’t have to ask, Chris was not only planning on doing it again many times, but he wanted to make up for lost time too. There was no more heart on loan. It was a sold given to Chris.

Omg can I please have some fluff like Kylian and reader visit his parents house for the weekend and it makes Ethan really happy to see reader because she’s his bestie, when they get there Ethan takes her away from Kylian and he gets jealous they spend over 3 hours together and then reader comes back to Kylian in his childhood bedroom where they watch movies and have cuddles💕
"Can you say it again?"
"Blueberry."
You laugh, making him repeat words in english. You love the way his accent sounds, loving the way he pronounces the words.
"I love it." You laugh, squishing his hand. "Don't forget to call your dad."
You were driving to his mother's house. He planned this weekend exclusively for his family and you two to be together.
Since the beginning of the season, he has had so much stress, making him crave some family time.
His mother and brother lived remotely close to his house. Sometimes, even spend nights with him.
But this season, everything changed, Ethan was practicing with the first team, but he was traveling with the second team a lot, and his mom was busy with his foundation. Making the time very much tighter for them.
Fayza went to Bondy. She wanted to get some paperwork and some things ready to sell the house. The thing that made Kylian sad.
His mother's house was the first thing he ever bought with his hard earned money. He wanted his parents to have their own home. So he gifted them the house.
His mom kept the house during the divorce, so it was hers now. Kylian didn't have a say because, as he says, it was theirs and not his.
Before the divorce of his parents, they all used to live there. Even their older brother and Melissa.
But when he moved from Monaco to Paris, Jires went to Turkey and Wilfried to another place closer to Paris. The house felt different.
Melissa and the kids stayed there with Ethan and Fayza. But to him, it was still weird not having his father with them.
"Oui, mon amour."
He was in charge of the music, being the passenger princess he was, refusing to only sit and relax. So he took the dj job.
The call was quick, Wilfried and him exchanged some words and then hang up.
"I want some waffles with whipped cream." He says, stomach roaring.
"Well, you could have had it, but you refused to eat."
"I wasn't hungry. You knew that."
"Maybe because you chose to wake up like ten minutes before leaving."
He pouts, not answering, but his facial expression was enough of an answer.
"We are almost there, bébé." You say pointing at the GPS. "And knowing your brother, he's probably waiting for us."
"Correction, he's waiting for you."
Ethan and you have an amazing relationship. He sees you as an older sister he can trust. Always stealing you and making you two do all sorts of things while visiting.
"He is." You sigh, turning your head to him quickly. "It's not my fault your family loves me more than you."
He scoffed, rolling his eyes. He knows you're joking. He actually loves how close you're with his family.
He never met someone who was so perfect with his parents, brothers, and even extended family.
The drive continues for another twenty minutes. Thankfully, the roads were pretty empty, making the drive a fast one.
"Look, we're here." You smile, squishing his arm. "Ready to have an amazing weekend?"
He nods, smiling like a kid on Christmas day. "Oui, I'm so happy."
He helped you with the bags, asking you to go onside and announce yourself, but two little laughs beat you at that.
"Y/n" Lana yells, she throw herself at you.
"Bonjour, mon petit fille." You spin her around. Kissing her cheeks.
You look for her brother, noticing he is in Kylian arms. He's welcoming his uncle. "Bonjour, Isayah."
You got closer to them, kissing his cheek just like you did with Lana. Making him laugh.
Fayza was standing at the front door. The scene was adorable to her. She can easily picture you and kylian in a few years with your own children.
Living in a house with a big garden, she thought about it maybe a little too much. But she can't be blamed. After all, Kylian was the one who described how he pictures your life together.
"Bonjour, my babies." She says, catching your attention. "Come here, let me help you."
She hugs you tightly, repeating the actions with her son. She took Isayah from Kylian arms, following you to the living room of the house.
"Melissa, hello." You say happily, she has become a close friend for you. Always counting on her for everything.
"We literally saw each other like three days ago." She laughs, hugging you.
"She's obsessed with you, that's why."
"You're just jealous, kyky."
He rolled his eyes for the second time, going upstairs to leave the bags and to wake Ethan up.
"How was your exams?" Fayza asks, curious about your life.
"It was good, I think I did a good job."
"You did, don't doubt about yourself." She says, kissing your cheek.
She was like a mom to you, always caring and loving you since you met her. She was extra special to you, knowing you were there to stay since the beginning.
You can hear kylian laughing from the second floor, probably doing something to Ethan or laughing at some joke.
"Boys." Fayza shakes her head. "Come help me, sweet. I can guess Kylian didn't eat breakfast."
"You know your son." You laugh, walking with her to the kitchen where she was cutting some fruits and making waffles.
You chat with her and Melissa, who joined you. Kylian and Ethan were in the living room chatting with their dad.
Wilfried and Kylian were messing with Ethan. He recently changed his style, so he felt a little more confident than usual, which Ky loved.
"Let's eat everybody." You call.
Wilfried shared some stories about his most recent trip, Melissa worked with Kylian, so her stories weren't new for the family.
Ky told them about the next matches, feeling like his stories were kind of repetitive, but you enjoyed them.
The way he was very into creating new ways and opportunities for him and the team to score and win.
"But the news here is, this mademoisell right here." He pats your knee. "Is going to be a valedictorian again."
They all got so excited at the news, Fayza and Wilfried telling you how proud they're of their "daughter."
As the day continues, you spend the rest of the morning helping Ky and Wilfried to prepare the meat and veggies for the barbecue.
It was Ethan the one with the idea of making a big family barbecue and everybody agreed with him.
"After this, you and I are going to play some fifa. This time, you're not beating me." Ethan lightly pushed you, making you laugh.
"Yes, and I want to know about that girl you texted me about." You whisper in his ear, making him blush at the thought of his crush.
"Deal, but first a fifa game."
After lunch, Lana and Isayah wanted you to join them on the pool. Wanting to play with you and their uncle like always.
"Oh, mon bébés." You say sadly, you wanted to swim with them but also you promised Ethan days before to have a chat with him. "As soon as I finish with Uncle Ethan, I'll be here, okay?"
Kylian pouts more than they do. You send him a kiss while you walk inside the house.
Ethan and you have an amazing relationship. He trusted you with his life. Sometimes, when Kylian was away and couldn't get a hold of him, you were there for him. Ready to help.
When it comes to girls, you're his go-to person. Maybe because he knows how much Kylian is a master with the football but not that much in the dating area.
"Okay, pause pause pause." You laugh at him, pushing you in order to make you lose the goal. "You, young man, own me a story."
"I own you anything, woman." He laughs, imitating your tone.
"C'mon, tell me, did she like the roses?"
"She did." He smiles. "Thank you so much for helping me. I don't know what I would do without you here."
"Probably be the best at fifa." You say, making both laugh at that. "But don't worry, E. I'm here for anything you need."
The fifa game took hours, hours Kylian didn't got to spend with you. Hours he was pouting like a child.
He's sitting on the couch hearing the laughs and screams you and Ethan are making. Feeling left out.
He knows feeling like this is dumb, but he's been so busy lately that even spending time with you was a bit difficult.
He helped his parents with picking up the plates, washing them and even helped Melissa with the kids.
And still not you.
"Bonjour, Monsieur Mbappe." You say in this funny accent. He was in his old childhood bed, a single one. He looked so big for the bed.
He turns to the wall, feeling left out and being jealous. "Go play fifa."
"Yeah, it was fun, I had to pick your player." You tease. "But maybe I should have picked Olivier. He's faster."
He turns back to you, eyes narrowed and pout. "Did you just call me slow?"
"You're such a baby, come here, mon amour." You throw yourself on top of him. He hugged you like a koala bear. "God, you're crushing me."
"Good, so you don't go."
"What if we moved and watch something?"
He thinks about it for a few seconds, making you squeak. "Can we watch that scary movie I like?"
"If I say yes, would you let me breathe?"
He laughs, softening the hug, making you sigh and breathe deeply. "Can you get some popcorn?"
You nod, getting up from the bed. But first, leaning down to kiss him on the cheek. "Some soda too?"
"You're making me break my diet." He laughs. Kissing your lips.
"Good, once in a while." You return the kiss.
Going down to the kitchen, you notice that Fayza is there, sitting at the kitchen island with a book in her hands.
"Hi, I thought you were asleep by now."
"No, Ky wants to see a movie, and he's kinda grumpy from all the attention everyone is getting from me. Everyone but him."
"Well, he's a man. They always want more but never know how to ask." She laughs, winking at you.
You laugh with her, making a little chat while the popcorn is getting ready at the microwave.
"I'm gonna miss this house. I feel like it was yesterday when Kylian brought me here to meet you."
"Oui, so many memories. But I think it is time for us to move on."
You nod, thinking about the amazing memories you shared with Kylian and his family there.
You place the popcorn in a bowl, grabbing two sodas and leaving Fayza and her book alone.
The movie was good, it has a scary factor. But your mind was still roaming through the memories.
You scratch lightly Kylian arms, something you do when you're cuddling while watching a move or a show.
He's focused on the movie and the popcorn. Not noticing how you're so lost into nothing.
"I wish we could stay longer. I know this is not my family home, but this place has something that I love."
"I get it, I feel like a part of me hurts from thinking about letting this go."
You stayed quiet for a while, trying to focus on a little bit of what's left from the movie. Kylian, on the other hand, got lost into his thoughts, he loved this place.
He wanted to make this a vacation home, to bring his kids to the place where he grew up, where the people supported him.
He wanted to save his childhood house. He wanted his, well, your kids to be able to hear the stories you created there, to be able to feel the magic you two feel there.
He takes the remote, turning the TV off, making you protest. "I have an idea."
"We're not pranking anyone, Ky."
"No, that's not it." He gets up. "Well, that's a good idea, you can't deny."
"No." You laugh.
His hands found yours, intertwining them and looking at you in the eyes. "Let's buy the house."
"What?" You say, taken aback by the sudden proposition.
"Oui, we can use the house for weekend getaways, we can use it for vacations. For special occasions."
"But I thought."
"I know what I said." He interrupts you. "But I can't deny that there's a special something, and in the near future, I want to create more memories with you here. I can't wait for our kids to enjoy this place like we did."
"Oh, bébé." You let his hands go to press your palms to his cheeks, kissing him slowly. Feeling all the emotions. "We have to talk to your mom about it."
"Can you believe that? If she says yes, this will be our first house together."
"This will be your house, Kyky." You laugh, even tho he always told you that what was his was yours, this was different from a t-shirt, this is a whole house.
"No, bébé. This will be ours."

Tumblr media
~~(^Both from Pinterest)
You didn’t want to believe it. How could your sweet, caring, amazing boyfriend cheat on you? It was not in the cards for you. You talked about getting married. You talked about having kids. How could he fuck it all up?
How could Ava? It does take two to tango, and you remembered meeting her clearly. You had gone to the newest Quadrant merch photoshoot, and Ria introduced you as Lando’s future spouse to Ava. Looking back, you remember the sneer on her face, and when you asked, she said it was a strong smell or something that irritated her. God, you should have said something!
You had spent the last week thinking everything over, and it seemed just as bad as the first day. Thankfully, Lando had to go to Woking after the last race, so he hasn’t come home yet. Then, he was going to visit his family and Max before coming back to the apartment for the last bit of the summer break.
Your head was spinning, and the room was spinning. It was a bad idea, looking back, but alcohol was the only thing numbing the pain at this point. It’s been hard trying to move on. You accepted that your relationship was over, but that’s seven years you grew with Lando by your side.
Now, suddenly, you didn’t know who you were. You were completely lost.
Some part of you felt guilty. Maybe you did something to make him cheat in the first place. Maybe he wasn’t happy with your sex life, and that’s why he went to Ava.
You tried to see the good in it, but it was too hard. You kept all of this pain inside you because you didn't want to burden anyone. Your family would say they told you so. They never supported your relationship with Lando. Most of your friends were also friends of Lando, and they would side with him. Your other friends would probably laugh in your face.
You were all alone to face this.
You wanted to tell your subscribers. They started to notice your mood drop, and they were getting concerned. You wanted to yell from the rooftops that Lando Norris is a cheater, but you couldn’t. That’s defamation because you don't have solid evidence. You wanted to tell anyone who would listen, but you didn't want to beg for attention.
You just wanted to be heard. You wanted to be seen. You wanted to do anything.
You wanted to tell Oscar, but you didn't want him to worry. He would probably drop everything to get you out of the apartment, but he’s with Lando in Woking. The last thing you needed was Lando peaking at Oscar’s phone and seeing your name. So you pretend to be fine.
Until it all came crashing down with an incoming phone call.
Oscar Piastri
You debated answering it. You were still on the verge of blacking out from how much alcohol you drank. You could barely move, so you let the phone ring out.
Moments later, another call came through.
Oscar Piastri
Again, you let it ring out as your vision started fading in the corners. If this was your end, you were ready for it. You weren’t sure how you were meant to live after this. You just felt so lost. Your thoughts were once again interrupted by another call.
Oscar Piastri
You finally found the strength to turn your head to look at the notifications. 24 missed calls from Oscar and 13 texts, ranging from asking if you were okay to him asking if he needs to show up. After the last call rang out, making it 25 missed calls, a text came through.
“I’m coming over, and I know where the spare key is.”
The last thing you wanted was to have Oscar see you in this state. You struggled to grab your phone and clumsily hit the notification for the missed call. It immediately redialed Oscar’s number. It didn’t take more than two rings for him to answer.
“Are you okay? Why didn’t you answer?” He rushed out. You could tell he was in a car by the background noise, but you didn't actually listen to what he was saying. You couldn’t form words and you felt like you were struggling to breathe as you let out a choked sob. There were no tears at this point, but it still felt as draining. Oscar decided to change up his approach, “Hey, tell me what’s going on.”
“If you only knew,” You trailed off, your voice quiet and hoarse as you chuckled at your situation. “If you only knew what my mind is telling me I should do.”
“Are you safe? Where are you?” He pushed for your answer.
“I’m drunk and all alone in my room,” You answered weakly, spacing out and staring at the ceiling. You can vaguely hear Oscar ask something, but you’re too focused on nothing. “I’m too sad to cry, my brain is putting me through some shit, and I don’t know anything anymore. I’m sorry, but you said to text you if I need you. Well, I need you.”
“I’m almost there, just breathe for me please,” He tried to drive faster but the cars on the road were making it impossible.
“If you only knew,” You were hyperventilating but there was no stopping the word waterfall once it started. “I’m constantly overwhelmed. I wish I was someone else. I wish I had called for help sooner. I am falling and I can’t stop. I don’t know what I should be doing. I don't know who I am. I wanna get better, Oscar, I do, but I don’t know where I’m going. I want you to know, I admit it, I can’t do this on my own, Oscar. This is my plea for help. Please, I need you.”
You were finally able to let all of the feelings out. It felt good being able to cry for once. Oscar just had to listen in agony that he wasn’t there to help you at that moment. He had just pulled into the apartment lot and found a parking spot before running into the building to get let up to your apartment floor.
You were still breathing heavily and unevenly when Oscar came running straight into your room, wrapping his arms around your shaking form. He was grounding you, and helping coax your breathing back to a normal pace. However, you still had something to get off your chest.
“Oscar, take me out of this hell,” You cried as you looked up at him and held his face in your hands. “I need you to help me out of here. I can't keep living like this. I don’t care how, but I need to get out of this hell. If you don’t, I will. I can’t do this anymore, Oscar, please.” You trailed off before leaning your head against his chest as all of your anger finally dissolved.
“I’ll take you anywhere you wanna go,” He whispered as he held all of your weight against him. He felt so bad that he was (in a way) the cause of your pain, but he couldn’t stand seeing you live blissfully unaware of the deception Lando was causing you. He vowed that night to help you in any and every way possible.

This work lay in drafts for a very long time. Now I have translated everything. Woohoo! (Reminder: English is not my native language. There are mistakes here)
Please don't read this if you are uncomfortable with the yandere! Pairing: Yandere! Ketheric Thorm x Reader, Yandere! Enver Gortash x Reader, Yandere! Orin the Red x Reader tw: platonic obsession, manipulation, restriction of freedom, mention of murders
I'm ready to throw an idea at you. Attention. You get into the bg3. BUT you aren't Tav and you aren't together with Tav. You find yourself among the Chosen Three. And they become platonic yandere!
Ketheric Thorm, Enver Gortash and Orin the Red will know that you know about their future. You know how to achieve certain events, as well as how to prevent it. Keeping you close is not only a necessary measure, but also an advantage. From now on, they must do everything to prevent Tav from finding out about you and taking you away.
You spend the least amount of time with Ketheric Thorm. As the leader of the army, he is always in the most dangerous places of the war. Besides, the Moonrise Towers are a dangerous place. There are a lot of killers there. You are usually in full view of Ketheric. Over time, you begin to get used to it. Ketheric listens, but often doesn't pay attention. You can tell him anything. At this time he goes about his business, sometimes nodding to you. But if you suddenly ask him a question, he will simply look at you menacingly, making you afraid. The old man is not angry. He just didn't remember anything you said and doesn't want to admit it. Your voice helps him not to worry. If you're still talking, it means you haven't been eaten. Therefore, he can continue his business. When you leave the Moonrise Towers, Ketheric looks with bitterness at the things you leave behind. It reminds him of the times when he was still a father. Perhaps he will put your drawing or note in one of his books.
Orin will become friend or foe depending on your decision. If you refuse to help them, She will find ways to make you talk. Her ideas about the world are very perverted, so friendship with Orin barely differs from enmity. She will take great pleasure in fooling around with you. She likes to scare you by telling you colorful ways of killing you. You will probably not be able to make friends because of her. It's hard to trust someone and tell your secrets when that someone could be Orin herself. She will need time to convince Gortash and Ketheric to allow you to visit the Bhaal’s Temple. They don't trust Orin. The more disgusted you are by the atmosphere of her temple, the more fun she will experience. In the depths of his bedroom, Orin will get a little soft. She will let you play with her hair. And she will talk about the teachings of Bhaal, but not with the intention of scaring, but with the desire to share something hidden for her. She will also want to teach you how to make a sacrifice to her god correctly. If you refuse, she will be upset, but will not insist. (Gortash made it clear to her that she should not break you.) Then she brings you back and avoids you for a week or two. It's new for her to feel this way. Not even her family received this honor. When she calms down and copes with unusual emotions, she will visit you again. And she will promise to kill you in the most beautiful way possible when necessary. It's not a threat. This is her expression of love.
It is with Lord Gortash that you spend the most time. His castle is safe, and the Steel Watchers walk around the city everywhere. You are well dressed and always look great to match him. High society is asking questions about who you are to him. Are you a lover, relative, decoration or pet? Only you and Gortash know that you are a means to achieve his goals. And only Lord Gortash knows that you are someone he has grown more attached to than he should have. He gives you almost anything you want, but expects you to cooperate in return. In addition, Gortash believes that just looking beautiful next to him is not enough. Therefore, all your free time (which is not much) will be occupied with training. If you escape from the castle (which is absolutely impossible), the guards will bring you back. Gortash is perhaps the only one among the owners of three stones who understands that your usefulness is not constant. Everything can go along the route you know with minor changes in his favor. Or it may happen that what is happening will become completely new even for you. Sometimes he jokes that he will throw you out when you become useless. But you still remember how Lord Gortash got angry at the impudent Count for asking to take you as his wife and Gortash ordered the insolent man to be executed.
----
Somewhere in the universe, the Emperor turns the table in a rage and demands Tav to quickly find and save (kidnap) you. (I don't know how he found out about you ._.)
----
Tav sighs tiredly and silently agrees. They're too tired of all. They just hope that their new future ally will be a little less problematic than everyone else in the camp.

Get Him to the Con - Part 10
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: Jensen × Reader
Word Count: About 6520
Story Summary: The reader stumbles into Jensen at her favorite bar, a very drunk Jensen. She soon realizes Jensen was booked for a con this weekend and has to be eight hours from town in only two.
Chapter Summary: Y/n visits Vancouver to see Jensen and, more importantly, to try to win Jared over.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9
Warnings: Always language. Grumpy Jared. After dinner, well, it gets NSFW 🌶️🌶️, 18+ Only
Although this is an RPF, these are fabricated characters and should not reflect back IRL. I intend no hate or ill wishes to him or his family. This is purely just for writing and wasting my time as a coping skill. Maybe some of you will enjoy it too. I apologize in advance for any mistakes or grammatical/spelling errors. I appreciate any feedback or suggestions!
----
The black Escalade wove through the Vancouver traffic, the sun beating down, melting the piles of slushy remnants from the first snow. What should have been an eagerly anticipated moment for your arrival was tense. Behind the wheel, Jensen was trying to be the bridge between you and his best friend.
“Lighten up, man. Y/n’s really excited to be out here again and wants nothing more than to hang out and cook us a nice meal.” Jensen pleaded your case.
He, in fact, suggested pizza on the risk of jetlag, but you had insisted, falling back onto the age-old idiom ‘the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.’ You already had one of their hearts, and you were convinced you could make Jared warm up to you, too, if only he saw you as who you were and not as a clingy fangirl. Yet you felt that rift growing every time you saw him. And the last thing you wanted was for Jensen to be caught in the middle.
“Would you try to like her? For me? Please.” Jensen nearly begged when Jared didn’t respond.
At least he was in the car, though Jensen didn’t give him a choice, with this outing as a pretense of drinks after work.
Jensen tried one more time, fed up with Jared’s stubbornness. “At least act nice.”
That got his attention. “Act nice? I’ll play nice if she does.” The accusation hanging heaving.
Jensen furrowed his brow. “Y/n doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.” Okay, you had a bit of a temper, were known to hold a grudge, and had a smart mouth, but Jared didn’t need to know that.
Jared scoffed. “Last time she came out, she literally laughed and criticized me for overacting.”
Jensen’s confusion grew, trying to remember the last time you came out. Then, the realization hit him as the three of you watched the latest episode together in another futile attempt for Jensen to foster peace.
Despite the animosity, Jensen couldn’t help but chuckle. “No, she laughed at a scene and apologized immediately, saying it was hard to take the show seriously now that she knows us. And I said that wasn’t it; it’s probably because you took your acting lessons from Bruce Campbell." His tongue peeked out between his teeth as he attempted and failed to control another giggle, still quite proud of the slight.
“It was a serious scene. I was acting my heart out.” Jared stressed. “You had just gotten back from hell.”
Jensen lost the smile. “In her defense, it does lose its impactfulness after the 17th time.”
“Whatever, man.” Jared pouted, looking out the window.
Jensen rolled his eyes and prayed to any god that would listen. “Would it make you feel better if we watch Devour together after dinner? Then we’ll just laugh at me.”
Jared said nothing, not taking the bait. The clicking of the blinker filled the silence as Jensen waited to turn toward the arrival gates. Jared ran his fingers through his hair as Jensen pursed his lips together, trying to think of something, anything. The light turned green.
“I don’t even know why I am here. Y/n has, like, what, two full days out here? You should be spending it together without having to worry about me third-wheeling. I’m sure there are other things that you would prefer to occupy time you don’t get over Zoom.” Jared rambled out loud.
Jensen’s eyes tightly blinked shut momentarily as he began seeking out an open spot at the curb. Jared was right, of course, only on account of his last thought, but he wouldn’t be at peace until he had the blessing of his best friend. Jensen inhaled through his nose, held his breath, and released through his mouth.
“It is important to me that you and Y/n find some common ground. If you gave her even the slightest chance, I’m positive you would start to like her.” He said calmly as he put the car into park.
“Why does it matter so much to you if I like her?” Jared pushed. To him, you were still only a rebound after Elena.
And then it hit him. Maybe Jared’s denial of his true fear of being replaced had come true.
“Because she’s my best friend and I love her!” He declared and then laughed through the shock.
It was the first time he had admitted it out loud. The silence was palpable as both men processed the weight of the words. Jensen wasn’t one to open up lightly. He felt deeply, but he was always careful with those emotions, cautious even. It had taken nearly two years before he said the same to Elena. Another before they started looking at rings. Maybe because it was one of the first serious relationships he had since the start of his career. The depth and commitment he had felt with her made the falling out that much more disastrous. He had fortified his walls to be higher and more impenetrable. Then you came out of nowhere and shattered everything he thought he knew about himself. He felt like a caged bird learning for the first time how to spread its wings, to feel the breeze on its face, and the warmth of the sun. With you, he felt free.
Jared’s eyes darted back and forth as if reading his thoughts, finding the right response. Jensen squeezed the steering wheel and nodded his head. “I love her.” He said again, the realization hitting him, fully knowing it was true. But then the terror of the statement hit him. The car door shuttered open, and the catapult of a backpack rolling over the seatbench crashing at the other end pulled Jared from his thoughts as you entered the car.
“Hiya!” You squeaked.
You pulled the door close with a thud and clicked on your seatbelt. You cleared your throat, looking up, momentarily afraid you jumped in the wrong car. But it was Jensen and Jared, alright. Jensen stared directly ahead, his face as white as if seeing a ghost. Jared scrutinized his friend. You sank back in your seat. You had thrown yourself directly into something.
Jared turned in his seat, blinking rapidly and addressing you in the most amiable tone he had ever taken with you. “Hi Y/n. Um, would you mind giving us a minute?”
Oh, you had definitely walked into something. It took you a minute to process this, but then you began fumbling with the seatbelt, “Yeah. Yeah. Of course.” And vacated the Escalade as fast as possible.
Jared’s brow furrowed, and he leaned closer to a whisper as you aimlessly knocked your fists together outside on the sidewalk. “You love her?”
He chuckled again and ran his hand through his hair. “Yeah, I really do.”
Jared knew he should be happy for Jensen, knew they should be celebrating this, offering congratulations, but all he felt was dread.
“Have you told her?” Jared asked.
“Nah, you’re the first to know.” Jensen clapped Jared on the shoulder. “I want the moment to be right, you know. I want to be able to remember it for a long time.”
Jared thought about faking it, but he had to be real with Jensen. “You don’t know her.”
That set him off. “Why are you so set against her? Why can’t you be happy for me? I do know her. I’ve known her for seven months, been dating her for 4 of those, and talk to her almost daily.” His voice went up an octave higher. “I don’t know why I have to keep justifying my choices to you, man? When will it ever be good enough for you?”
Jared didn’t take the bait. “But you don’t know her. How can you truly? You haven’t met her friends or her family, and it sounds like her mom is a real piece of work. Are you ready to deal with that?”
Outside the car, airport security approached you. Both boys could tell from your over-exaggerated gestures that you were attempting to buy them more time.
Jared continued. “And no offense, but she isn’t spotlight material.”
“Fuck you.” Jensen's blood boiled over. He was about to leave the car to find another way to get back into the city. At that moment, he never wanted to see Jared again.
“Come on. Give me a break. You know I didn’t mean it like that.” Though he kind of did. “All I’m saying is that if you truly are that committed to her, that this isn’t some fling, you should think about preparing her for the kind of attention it will warrant. The good, the bad, and the ugly. That kind of stress and attention can ruin a person.”
Jensen didn’t respond but wrung his hands on the steering wheel. There was a knock on the window.
“Please, know I’m just trying to look out for you,” Jared whispered as he began rolling down the window.
“Nobody asked you to.” Jensen snipped back before the security guard started to chew them out.
As the boys were on the receiving end of a very stern lecture, you slipped as quietly as possible into the back seat to avoid further angering or endangering yourself with security. Yes, spending a night in jail was on your bucket list, but this is not what you had in mind.
“Sorry, officer,” Jensen ended a profuse apology before hightailing it out of there.
You weren’t sure exactly what you missed, but the air hung thick with tension. Nobody spoke. There was only the hum of tires on the road. It hit you that Jensen never even acknowledged you. You fiddled with a loose stitch on the seat in front of you.
After five minutes and starting to get out of airport traffic, you couldn’t handle it anymore. “So…” You drew the word out, unsure how to break into a conversation.
Jensen blinked, realizing you had no reason to be as upset as him and that it was unfair to suffer from their drama, especially when you were not privy to it.
He cleared his throat. “I got the groceries you requested delivered.” However, he didn’t know how the three of you would sit through a dinner together.
“Oh, good! I’m starving. Airport food never really hits the spot, but the Cajun snack mix does kinda slap.” You rambled, trying for anything to get them talking.
They both hmmed in response. You were about to ask them about their favorite airport snack, but thank the gods, it was Jared who surprisingly saved you.
“What’s for dinner then?” He was trying. He had fucked up. He knew it. This was how he could try to make amends with Jensen.
You beamed, having perfectly planned it out, trying to finally win Jared over to your side. “We’ll start with a strawberry, basil, and balsamic whipped burrata and roasted bone marrow. Then, a small lemon watercress-radicchio salad for a palate cleanser before moving on to a butter-basted ribeye accompanied by potatoes au gratin and crispy brussel sprouts with mustard seeds and pomegranate.”
Jared’s stomach rumbled. Goddammit, that sounded good.
“And, I was considering a dessert, but Jensen said I already had enough going on, and because baking isn’t my strong suit, I let him handle the rest.” You explained. “You did handle the rest, didn’t you?”
Jensen's anger melted a little. With a smirk, he said, “Yeah, a tub of vanilla ice cream.”
Your heart dropped. “Stop.” There was a glint of teasing in his eyes as he looked at you through the rearview mirror, but the rest of his face remained deadpan. You couldn’t tell if he was serious or not. “Okay, I guess I could repropose what I had in mind for the burrata, and if you have sugar on hand and something salty and crunchy, we could do a quick brittle. Oooh, maybe the cajun snack mix. Or perhaps…”
“Y/n! I’m messing with you. I have an assortment ordered from Thomas Haas.” He winked at you in the mirror.
Thomas Haas meant little to you, but anything would be better than a tub of ice cream. Okay, a tub of ice cream had its time and place, but not when you were working so hard to impress Jared. Still, you eyed Jensen skeptically, unsure if it would measure up.
“Some of the best in Vancouver,” Jared assured. “I’m sure it will compliment your dinner perfectly. I can’t wait. It all sounds very delicious.”
“Hmm.” You looked between the two of them.
There were still too many questions unanswered. What were they talking about before you arrived? Could you trust either of them to select a quality dessert or would you have to resort to brittle anyways? Were you now on a no-fly list due to the tiff with the security guard? When could you get Jensen alone (this stern look painted on his face was doing things you couldn’t control)? But most importantly, why was Jared acting so nice?
“I’ve had bone marrow before, but only in restaurants,” Jared continued. “I didn’t realize it could be done at home.”
“Oh yeah, it’s actually super simple if you can find a good butcher.” You explained.
Jensen interjected. “Don’t let her fool you. She’s been binging The Bear, and now her only goal is to become an Iron Chef.”
You smirked, impressed he even knew what an Iron Chef was. Aside from eating food, anything kitchen-related was the furthest on his interest list. You were rubbing off on him.
You scoffed and rolled your eyes. “It’s the easiest cheat code appetizer if you want to impress someone. You toast some bread, toss the marrow in the oven for twenty minutes, and add a few accouterments to a serving board. And bam, done.”
Jared laughed, actually laughed. “I’m sure you are underselling yourself. From what Jensen has told me, you are an excellent cook. I can’t wait to see it all come together.”
Jensen glared at Jared out of the side of his eye, the anger resurfacing. He was laying it on thick. Too thick.
You squinted, eyes darting back and forth between them. This wasn’t going to plan. You were supposed to cook the food and then become BFFs with Jared. This was happening too quickly. But perhaps you should take it for what it was. Maybe you had stuck around long enough for him to finally accept you. Or Jensen had talked you up enough. Whatever the reason, you had to stop ruminating on it. All you had to do was get through dinner. Perhaps after, you could corner Jensen into an explanation.
It wasn’t long until you pulled into the parking garage adjoined to the condos. Jensen popped the trunk, surprised to find it empty.
“Where’s your luggage?” He asked, oblivious as his conversation with Jared required most of his mental capacity.
You held up your backpack as a response, and his brow furrowed with confusion.
“What’s wrong? Are you ill?” He pestered, placing the back of his hand against your forehead.
“Shut up.” You snipped and then explained. “I’m practicing becoming a lighter packer.” You lowered your voice to a whisper. “Besides, I recall not needing much clothing last visit.”
Jensen raised his eyebrows, reminiscing, and then nuzzled his nose into your neck in anticipation of this weekend. Jared, having overheard, rolled his eyes and fought a gag. You laughed as Jensen pulled away, his eyelashes tickling your cheeks. And Jared plastered on his fake smile yet again.
“Let’s get upstairs,” He said. “I’m starving.”
-----
Dinner was coming along nicely. You were basting the last of the steaks in butter, and the boys were watching the end of a game in the living room. The thoroughly cleaned plates on the coffee table were the only lingering evidence that there had been appetizers. You snuck a bit here and there, but it was mostly to keep the two of them from sniffing around the kitchen.
With a final splash of liquid, the steak was done—perfect caramelization and crust. Now, the potatoes. You checked the timer—ten minutes, enough time for the steak to rest. And the Brussels? Shit. You scooped the last of them out of the oil in the nick of time. You generously salted them and would add the pomegranate molasses after plating. Satisfied with how it was all wrapping up, you whipped Jensen’s once pristinely white dish towel over your shoulder. There was a shuffling behind you as you began cleaning what you could.
“Need any help?” Jensen asked.
You were about to shoo him out when you heard the scrape of a knife. You snapped your head around to catch him red-handed. He stared at you like a deer in the headlights, the end of one steak pinched between his fingers and the knife hovering millimeters above. You scowled, and Jensen slowly set the knife down, held his hands in surrender, and backed up.
Your scowl melted into a smile. “A couple of minutes longer. If you’d like to help, you can set the table.”
He straightened. “Yes, chef.”
You playfully stuck out your tongue and whipped the dish towel in his direction, earning an exaggerated yelp.
Finally, after a few minutes passed, you brought the final plate to the table and scooched in. Jensen didn’t hesitate and dove in.
With a full mouth, he mumbled, “If this tastes as good as it…” Then it hit him, and his eyes rolled back in pure delight. “Oh god.”
Jared went in a little slower, cutting his steak and bringing it past his lips. He took several testing bites and paused, glaring at you. He was actually glaring at you. Dropping the act, he’d kept up all night, pissed at how good it tasted. He knew what tonight had been about. About you trying to butter him up, quite literally with butter braised steak. And god dammit. It was a good steak. And he was mad about it.
“Fuck.” Jared cursed aloud, snapping your and Jensen’s attention to him. “Fuck, that’s good.”
You smiled sheepishly, looking down at your plate. “I can’t say I’ve had that reaction before. Not quite as orgasmic as I was hoping for, maybe if I adjusted the…” Your face went pale, realizing the last part was out loud.
Jensen snorted, and Jared even cracked a smirk.
“So, um,” You attempted a recovery. “How was work this week?”
A few minutes of silence passed as Jensen gave Jared a chance to answer. When he didn't and caught him glaring again, Jensen kicked his shin under the table, prompting him further.
Jared grunted. “Well, hours weren't as shitty as usual.”
“Cause Collins hasn't been around.” Jensen teasingly interjected.
Jared chuckled. “Yeah, not as many retakes. Finally, it feels like we're making some progress this season.”
You nodded. The three of you looked back and forth, trying to gauge whether it was appropriate to continue the conversation or return to eating.
“What about you?” Jared coughed before going in for another bite.
“Same old.” You simply stated.
Silverware scraped against plates. A clock ticked in the living room. The sounds of the city rose from the streets. You dabbed the corner of your mouth with the black cloth napkin, then considered it. You’d be willing to bet good money this was the first time Jensen ever pulled them out.
Jensen tried again to spark the conversation again. “Should we talk Vegas?”
Your eyes lit up excitedly, ready to discuss a plan and details.
“So, about that,” Jared started. Jensen didn’t hide his scowl, but Jared's eyes widened, challenging him. “It’s not often we get that kind of time off work, and I’m going to meet Gen in Austin.”
Ah, so dinner wasn’t the wondrous miracle you hoped it would be. You cursed yourself for not trying a Wellington. Jensen reached under the table to graze your thigh, trying to communicate that this had nothing to do with you.
“Why doesn’t she join us?” Jensen shrewdly offered.
Jared’s lips formed a thin line before countering. “Actually, we are going to use the time to do some house hunting.” He hesitated for a minute. “We’ve started talking about, um, the next steps in starting our family.”
Kids? Oh god, Jensen was going to be an uncle. He was already an uncle to Harper’s clan, but this was Jared. All the tension momentarily evaporated as you both offered your excitement and congratulations.
“Yeah, our current setup isn’t going to cut it. We need more space, a yard.” Jared explained. “Y/n, are you interested in kids?”
Jensen choked on the last piece of steak, recovering with a swig of wine. The temporary peace was broken yet again.
“Oh, um.” You stammered, trying to think of a response. Every couple (that was serious, that is) had to come across this question. You just didn’t picture you were there yet with Jensen. And you didn’t picture the conversation would come about this way. “Well, I’ve recently only managed to keep a house plant alive, so maybe the next step is like a cat or something before moving onto a…” You gulped. “A child.”
“Hmm. So you haven’t given it much thought?” He clarified.
“I mean,” Heat was rising to your cheeks. “It might not be my first choice, looking after a little drooling, monstrous carbon copy. Don’t get me wrong, I love being Aunt Y/n to my niece but one of my own. It’s a lot of responsibility and sacrifice and time and money… I don’t know. There’s a lot of benefits, too, I’m sure. You and Gen will be fantastic parents!”
“Interesting.” Jared ignored your last comment. “Wasn’t it in Colorado that you said you’d have Jensen’s babies? Or maybe that’s changed after you got to know him more.” He chuckled a bit, trying to conceal it as a joke.
“Okay, that’s enough.” Jensen attempted to shut this down.
“No, I never actually said that.” You talked over him and defended yourself. “Casey, a fan, although more than well-meaning, took several liberties that day. A decision that big should require careful consideration rather than something silly like initial attraction or blind devotion, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Absolutely,” he responded sincerely. “Such as your partner’s thoughts on the issue. Gen and I knew immediately that growing our family was an intention for our relationship. Jensen, you’ve always wanted kids, haven’t you?”
If looks could kill, Jared would currently be en route to the nearest morgue. But then he caught a glance at your wide, curious eyes awaiting an answer. There’s no way he would lie about this. Yet, this was the first time the subject of the long-term future had been broached. He swallowed the lump in his throat with another dose of wine, then threw his napkin on his plate.
“I have always seen my future with one or two kiddos running around.” He spoke softly and slowly. “But if my partner wasn’t on board, there’s no way I’d force that upon them. The two of us would always come first.”
Jared raised his eyebrows and nodded, staying silent as he finished his last bite.
You filled the silence instead, unable to handle the pause in conversation. “Similarly, I would never want to deny my future partner if that was something that was really important to them.”
Jensen closed his eyes and took a steadying breath. This wasn’t a relationship-ending kind of conversation. You did share common ground. And it was each other.
“That seems like a lot of sacrifice.” Jared circled back to the earlier point.
“But what is love?” You asked back.
Jensen whined a high-pitched melody under his breath, “Baby, don’t hurt me,” so over this conversation.
But Jared and you were beyond dialed in.
“You want to define that here, tonight?” Jared pushed. “Scholars, philosophers, religions; they’ve been trying to do that since the dawn of humanity.”
“Many of which have brought it back to sacrifice.”
“And many of which have used that ideal to perpetuate cycles of horrendous abuse.”
You pushed your plate aside, needing the space to talk with your hands. “I’m not denying that. But if you are talking on an individual level about two people in love outside of an institution, there are many components, but sacrifice is usually one of them.”
“So you’re arguing you shouldn’t be happy for the sake of the other person?”
“I’m arguing,” You strained. “Both people in the relationship sacrifice for each other, and not only are they happy to do so, but it is a privilege. You lift each other up and balance the other, and there is a net gain rather than elevating one over the other, becoming nothing more than a mere doormat. Trust me, I’ve been around enough narcissists to understand that never ends well.”
“So that’s your conclusion: love is sacrifice?” Jared asked.
Was he trying to trap you? “Like I said, it’s a component. But at the end of the day, I’d say love is a choice. There’s those initial feelings of lust and excitement and newness that will eventually fade away. And you’ll get on each other’s nerves, and there’ll be tears and fighting, and hell, we all get old, and gravity always wins. There’ll be moments where you have to choose. In fact, there’ll probably be moments where you choose not to. At the end of the day, I’d like to end up with someone who is my best friend above all else because you’ll have that to fall back on when it's hard to love.”
Jared didn’t say it contradictory but as a compliment to your point. “Friendship is its own kind of love.” He looked to Jensen apologetically.
“Very true.” You agreed. “What do you think, Jensen?”
Jensen sighed and shook his head. He stood up to start clearing the table. “It’s a mystery. Sometimes love is just love.”
You began stacking the dishes, bringing them to the kitchen as well. “It defies explanation, logic even.” You added.
Jared grabbed the bottle of wine, refilled glasses, and brought the fresh pour to you. “And definition. It’s the ultimate expression of humanity, isn’t it? To wrestle with complex concepts.”
You chuckled, taking a sip. “I guess that’s based on how you define humanity.”
Jared leaned against the counter. “Well…”
Jensen snapped up from putting plates in the dishwasher. “How about a movie?”
Jared lost his train of thought. “I have kind of been in the mood for The Matrix.”
You beamed. Perhaps this disaster of a night wasn’t ruined after all. It would be the perfect opportunity to bring up simulation theory with Jared. From what Jensen told you, Jared loved debating and theorizing over abstract topics. It would be the perfect foot in. Maybe you could impress him after all.
Jensen caught the mischievous look in your eye. He shook his head. “Don’t…”
But you beat him to it. “That sounds perfect!”
---
Later that night, hours after discussing perceived reality, you hovered over the kitchen sink, scrubbing down the remaining mess. Jared was long gone but thanked you for a pleasant evening. Jensen came up behind you, stripped down to his undershirt and briefs. He pulled your waist to his, wrapping his grasp around your hips, and nuzzled closer.
“Come to bed.” He whispered into your neck.
You half-moaned, leaning into his touch. “I just have a few more.”
“That’s what the dishwasher is for.” He said.
You paused and stiffened. “And ruin the finish on this cast iron? You monster.” Jensen gave a light chuckle before closing his eyes against your skin as you continued. “How do you think tonight went?”
He sighed, chewing it over.
“I know.” You agreed. “I should have done the Wellington.” That earned you a pinch to the side. You yelped. “Not when I’m washing the knives!”
“Honestly,” Jensen started. “I don’t know what to think.”
You took a deep gulp and turned off the faucet before turning to face him. You searched his eyes and ran your pruned thumb against his cheek.
“I don’t want to come between you two.” You strained.
He took your hand and his and glided your knuckles across his lips.
“You’re not.” He whispered.
Your glare pierced him.
Jensen continued. “He’s coming around, albeit slowly.” He added as your gaze held, “I promise.”
Your breath released, and the tension left your body, too tired to challenge him further.
“Come on, off to bed.” He instructed.
But you turned around and yawned, “Only a few more.”
Suddenly, you were swooped up and being carried away from the kitchen. “The rest can wait.”
You hit the mattress, immediately sinking into the plush duvet and feathered pillows. Jensen followed, his warmth and weight wrapping around you. The day's weight full of travel, cooking, cleaning, debating, and worrying all hit you instantly. You closed your eyes, darkness quickly closing in. Yet you couldn’t ignore the lips peppering slow, soft kisses at the edge of your navel.
“Mmmm. Jensen, I’m tired.” You moaned over the response your body had to his touch. His fingers danced along the hem of your shirt, trailing higher. Between kisses, he breathed. “You won’t have to do a thing.”
You popped an eye open and raised an eyebrow, looking down at him through the darkness. The city lights illuminated his features. There was a feral glow in his eyes, waiting for that sweet, sweet permission he longed to hear.
“Are you proposing to use me?” You questioned, rubbing your thighs tighter, seeking pressure to alleviate the quickly growing need.
And he knew it, too. A smirk that would impress even the devil crossed his lips. “That depends,” He brought his hand from your ribs, prying your thighs apart, and you whined in response. “Would you like to be used?”
You nodded even though you could barely keep your eyes open, “Very much.”
He made quick work of your clothing, your lazy attempts to help only impeding the process. The cold air of the condo brushed over your skin, providing temporary alertness as your hair rose and you shivered in response. His hands roamed over you, chasing away the chill, replacing the sharpness with tenderness.
Even as you wrestled sleep from taking you, eyes fluttering close, you could feel his eyes on you. From day one, he made it his mission to study you; taking note of every sharp inhale, every squirm, every crease of the brow. He had been a quick and eager student. His hand gently encouraged your legs apart, his hand roving over your core, parting your very soul as he found his mark. Satisfied, his eyes closed, and his head rested against your chest as he let instinct take over.
Dancing on the edge of sleep yet pulled to the waking world by pleasure, your brain couldn’t comprehend thoughts. The worries of the day, the countless insecurities, the what-ifs, they all melted from your mind. The only thing you knew was touch. It was the only constant. The concept of time faded, and at some point unbeknownst to you, fingers had been replaced with lips.
Incoherent words praised his practiced tongue as thoughts attempted and failed to form meaning. Your hand wound through his hair, gripping to hold him in place as you rocked your hips forward. His arms hooked under your legs, lifting you higher, spreading you farther as he lost his need for air. His only purpose in consuming you.
“Jensen.” You mewled his name as a curse. “Please. God, please.”
Teeth scraped against soft flesh, sending you soaring off that endless cliff. You cried out, a slew of fractured speech. Jensen idly continued as you floated back down to reality. Only as breath returned, hungry for air, did he stop, attempting to catch some himself.
“Turn over,” He instructed through the shallow pants. “On your knees.”
You whined, rubbing your face with your palm. “You said I wouldn’t have to do anything.”
He nipped at your inner thigh. “Brat.”
You lazily smiled until he grabbed your sides and flipped you over himself. That woke you up, but only momentarily as he shuffled behind you, allowing you a minute to bury your head deeper into the pillow.
“Oh, I don’t think so, sweetheart.”
An arm snaked under your diaphragm, and you lost your breath as he pulled you up to a kneel, pinning you against his bare, hard flesh. His hands roamed your curves, already mapped in his mind, desperate to bring to fruition what he had imaged during the month apart. A hand came to your throat, gently squeezing, as he tilted it to the side.
“Color?” He cooed into your ear.
You only moaned, too tired for words, grinding your hips back into him, hoping it would prompt this process further along.
“Use your words.” He softly demanded.
“Green.” You placed a hand over his, encouraging him to squeeze harder. “So fucking green.”
He buried his mouth into the crook of your neck, claiming you, possessing you, undoing you. But two could play this game. With your free hand, you reached behind you, immediately claiming your prize. You stroked up and down his length, stopping at the apex and rolling your grasp.
“Fuck.” He indulged temporarily before taking your hand, guiding it to the top of the headboard.
Your other hand followed suit as he gripped your hips. You arched your back and swayed side to side, inviting him in or, at the very least, enticing him to hurry.
“Patience has never been your strong suit.” He playfully scolded.
As he knocked your knee with his own, spreading you apart further and lower, he bent down, planting long, deliberate kisses on the small of your back. Your eyes fluttered close yet again, your mind at war with your body, demanding sleep. He neared your entrance, testing at first, then surged forward, completely filling you. You cried out, sparks turning to flame as he flooded you. Over and over, he built pace, seeking his own high.
It was unlike anything you had ever known. Nothing existed outside of this claiming rhythm, outside of this mounting heat, outside of this ecstasy. Your mind was blank. Your mind was numb. He was the only thing you had ever known—the only thing you were created for.
His hand gripped your shoulder, arching you deeper, pulling you more flush against his hardness, hitting the deepest parts of you. Your curses and praise garbled together, moans became mute, and blinding pressure rose, threatening to break.
“Come on, Y/n,” Jensen said through ragged pants. “Come for me, sweetheart.”
“Jensen.” You cried, tears spilling over. “I can’t, I’m so tired.”
His grip left your shoulder and joined yours on the headboard, intertwining his fingers with yours as he drove into you over and over and over.
“Yes, you can.” He encouraged. “Tell me where.”
He adjusted, giving you time to assess the effectiveness.
And then, suddenly, “Ah, right there. Fuck, don’t fucking stop.” You squeezed your eyes shut.
He did as he was told, gritting his teeth together, fingers digging into your flesh as he held on. He waited and waited until he felt you close in around him, constricting, demanding he fall off that cliff with you into the deep pool of bright light. Your hands slid from the headboard as you collapsed back onto the mattress. Jensen fell with you, his weight trapping you.
It could have been minutes. It could have been hours. But eventually, you found your way to the surface again, taking a deep, shuttering breath. Jensen rolled off you onto his back. He stared up at the ceiling, breathing in and out, in and out. Sweat outlined his sculpted frame as he ran a hand through his tousled hair. When his heart finally settled, his eyes found yours, and he pulled you close.
You were no longer aware if you were sleeping or awake, but still, you said. “I think it is safe to say we can move ‘exhausted sex’ from the maybe category to any fucking time or day.”
He laughed and kissed your forehead. “Thank you.”
You groaned. “Oh please, let’s not start that again.”
“Fair.” He agreed and thought of something else to say. “You’ve ruined me.”
“I’ve ruined you?” You corrected. “Sir. You’ve gone and rendered the entirety of the male species inconsequential.”
“Okay,” He challenged, rubbing his eyes. “You can’t be that tired if you can spin that heap of bullcrap.”
You burrowed into the crook of his arm and closed your eyes before mumbling, “It's not bullcrap. You’ve ruined me too.”
His eyes darted back and forth in the darkness, contemplating everything you had said about love and god, even children. He looked back at you. Your breath had slowed and evened out. And he knew his epiphany remained true. His love for you was beyond his initial attraction, curiosity, or, frankly, his blue balls. He’d give it all up if you asked, find some office job, become a cat dad. And then it hit him why, and he chuckled, saving that thought for another day because now sleep was threatening him too, and he might not be thinking rationally.
He kissed your hair and whispered, testing it out loud. “I love you.” A cold, electric shiver ran throughout his being.
He froze as you stirred. “Hmm?”
He chuckled. “What would you think about going public?”
You shot up, fully conscious. Fully alert. Your brow furrowed, trying to comprehend.
“Aren’t we already public? You did ask me out at a convention?”
He also sat up, rubbing his hands through his hair to stir further energy.
“Well, kind of. People know I’m dating, but only a select few know who.” He explained trying to assess your emotions at the same time. “We’ve done a pretty good job keeping a wrap on your identity.”
“Probably ‘cause your ballcap and sunglasses are such a convincing disguise, Clark Kent.” You teased.
“Smartass,” he grumbled. “Probably more likely because I have a good manager and an even better team right now who locked down and scrubbed your social media.” He waited for you and added, “If you don’t want to…”
“No, that’s not it.” You stopped him. “I… Can I think it over?”
“Of course. Take all the time you need; there’s no rush.” He assured.
“I’ll have to talk to some people beforehand. Friends, coworkers, family.” You gritted your teeth. “My mom, she… Well, she might make things difficult.”
“Hey, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have brought it up so late. We can sleep on it and talk to the team tomorrow. They’ll answer any questions you have and maybe provide some guidance on the hard things.” He bent down to look into your eyes. “Okay?”
You nodded in response.
“Let’s get some rest, yeah?” He encouraged again and pulled you down against him.
But how the fuck were you supposed to sleep now? Your whole world could change overnight. And you weren’t sure you were ready for it.

Monthly visits.
Prompt: Honestly? I don’t know what this is, nor I know if it’s any good. The idea came from one of my midnight delusions when I think about stuff to write. Is this a kid fic? Yes? Kinda. Most probably. Do I care? No. Will there be sequels about it? Most probably. I still don’t know. Probably the sequels will feature more Alexia, but for now, you have to endure this 7.4k Drabble.
Actual prompt: In one of your monthly visits to a children’s hospital you meet Ava, she is going to change your life completely.
It was a hectic day for you in Barcelona today. Every month, whenever you had a day off, you would go to the local children’s hospital to support children with Leukaemia. Your younger brother had the same condition, so it has always been an important topic for you to support.
Every month you tried to convince one of your teammates, or from the girl’s team or the boys, to go with you. Usually, the children would go crazy if you brought them Pedri or Gavi. They would sign autographs and shirts and sometimes even get a ball and show off some of their tricks. When the club found out about this, they wanted to set up interviews and shootings in which they would broadcast or post your visits with them on social media, but you always said no. You liked this to be kept quiet, to not stress the kids, and not bring unwanted attention towards them; you weren’t there for the money, but just to give happiness to anyone you could.
You knew you weren’t the most famous athlete in the club, especially when you had the likes of Lewandowski, Pedri, and Gavi. On the girl’s side, you played for one of the most famous women’s soccer clubs and was one of the captains; well, if Alexia and Marta wouldn’t play in a game, which wasn’t very probable. But still, Alexia and Mapi were more famous than you; therefore, the children they tend to want their jerseys to be signed by them, but occasionally, some would recognize you, and you were delighted in signing and taking pictures or carefully playing with them whenever they wanted to.
You tried not to get too attached to the kids as you knew that they still had a deadly illness. Initially, it was hard, especially when you asked a nurse about a kid, and they would just give you a sad look. You would come home from the day and lay in your bed, absently trying to make sense of it. You hated seeing children suffer.
But there was a girl you met 5 months ago; she was brilliant but also a little prick. Her name was Ava. The first month you saw her, you brought with you Pedri. He was like a little brother to you, you got along great, and he was great with kids.
You went into her room, she was super excited to meet you both that she even asked for a double autograph. At first, you were confused by the request, but then you figured that the second autograph would be for a friend or a family member. So you went on normally with your day. The kids were all happy, you played Fifa with them and then, when it was time to leave, you decided to say goodbye to all of them. As you entered Ava’s room, you saw her working on something with her computer. As soon as she saw you, she shut it down very quickly.
“What are you doing?” You smile, walking to her. You were curious as to what she was doing. She was eight, so you knew that whatever it was, it was going to be something funny.
“Nothing!” She says quickly, hiding her computer behind her back.
You started to gently tickle her sides, conscious of her weak state. She started laughing, but soon you stopped and got her computer.
“If you open it, I will cry, and you will never come here ever again!” She threatens me, pouting.
“Why don’t you want to show it to me? Is it a secret boyfriend?” You smirk suggestively.
“No! Ew! Boys are gross!” She exclaims disgusted.
“I agree with you.” You say. “Boys are gross.”
“You can’t see it! It’s - It’s a secret.” She says, trying to grab the computer from you.
“Oh, come on! I’ll tell you one of my secrets if you tell me.” You try to convince her.
“Okay, but promise me that you won’t get mad.”
“Pinky promise.” You say, putting up your pinky and waiting for her to do the same.
You slowly open the screen and see a tab with eBay. She posted one of the two autographs she received today, with a picture of you and Pedri signing it. You start laughing and looking at her, amused.
“You sneaky little child! You are selling them?” You chuckle.
She crossed her arms unamused and replied as if it was the most obvious thing, “One is for me, and one is to sell.”
You look at her with a questioning look.
“My sister told me that I can’t buy too many books and video games because they are too expensive, so I buy them myself.”
“You are a little businesswoman.”
“Shh, you can’t tell anyone, especially my sister. She would get so mad. She hates it when I do this kind of stuff!”
“Your secret is safe with me.”
“Pinky promise?”
“Again?” You chuckle.
“Yes.” So you promise, then you stand up from the side of her bed and are about to leave when she asks, “Will you come back?”
“I come every month,” You say, turning around to face the little girl.
“If I’m already better, can I come here just to see you?” She asks shyly, hiding her mouth with her hands.
“Of course, you can!” You say goodbye to her and leave the hospital, waiting for Pedro. When you see him, you both get in the car.
“You know, today, I saw Ava again, and I saw her selling our autographs on the internet.” You laugh.
“That girl is sneaky!” He replies.
“She even insisted and made me promise not to say anything to anybody.”
Over the next three months, whenever you saw her, you would wink at her and make whoever was with you that day sign a double autograph for her. Then when you finished staring with the other kids, you would go into her room, and you guys would talk and play with cards. You would always question why she would never talk about her parents but only about her bigger sister and how great she was. You weren’t expecting her to be sixteen when you finally meet her. Her name was Lucia. You saw her as you were about to say goodbye to Ava. You went into her room, but she was already asleep, and Lucia was sitting on a chair next to her.
You thought both girls were sleeping, so you quietly left the room, but as you were about to close the door, you heard a quiet whisper.
“You must be y/n.” She states, rather than asking. She stands up and walks to you.
“Yes, that’s me. Are you Ava’s sister?”
“You know, she always talks about you.” She says, whispering and closing the room behind her.
“She always talks to me about you.” You say. “I think that as of right now, I know more about you than myself.” You try to joke, but she doesn’t laugh, leaving an awkward silence between you. Making you notice how tired she looks, as if she hadn’t slept in a long while.
“Do you want a cup of tea or coffee?” You offer.
“Nah, don’t worry.” She shrugs.
“Come on, I’ll pay for it. Five minutes, then I’ll get out of your hair.”
She slowly nods and then follows you to the cafeteria, which is open 24/7. Thankfully there was nobody there, so you could sit in peace.
You follow her as she sits down at a table, and then she breaks the silence.
“Why are you helping her?” She whispers.
“What?”
“Listen, I don’t know your intentions here, but she is really getting attached to you, and whenever you are done with these ‘trips’ to the hospital for the kids, she will suffer from it, and I don’t want that.”
“What are yo-“
“She has already lost so many people in her life; she doesn’t need another one.”
“Your parents are not in the picture anymore, right?” You ask.
She slowly nods. “It’s just me and her for now.”
“Where are you guys staying?”
“As you know, she is staying at the hospital.” She says as if she is stating the obvious.
“You?”
“That’s none of your business.”
“Listen, I know what it’s like to be in this situation; let me-”
“No, you don’t know that!” She says defensively.
“Ten years ago, I was you.” You slowly explain. “My brother, Nico, had Leukaemia, and I was in the same position as you. I was just a little bit older and could work. My parents didn’t give a shit about us. They said it was too much work to take care of Nico and wanted me out of the house because I was a footballer and gay. I didn’t have a support system. I was the support system.”
You take a deep breath and then continue. “Fortunately, I had a job, so I was able to take care of Nico and I, but not everyone is that lucky.”
“So you are saying that you feel bad for us?” She asks rhetorically, standing up from her chair, ready to leave.
“No, I don’t. When I started these ‘trips,’ as you say, five years ago, I told myself that I would never get too attached to any of the patients. But then I met Ava, and she is so smart and also a little sneaky, I grew fond of her.” You give her a light smile and continue.
“I know that the money she gets from selling autographs, t-shirts, and stuff, isn’t for buying books and video games, as she says, but for you guys to survive. I would love to help in any way. And I know that you probably won’t trust me. I wouldn’t trust a stranger either.”
Lucia sits again and looks at the table, playing with her drink. Looking almost guilty, as if you found out about a secret no one was supposed to know.
“I can’t do this anymore.” She barely utters, breaking the cold and defensive mask that she put on with you.
You slowly take her wrist, trying to reassure her. “You are stronger than you think.”
“I’m just so tired. She deserves better than me. She deserves a whole family. A better support system, and instead, she got stuck with me. I still need to finish school. I don’t have a paying job; how will we go through this?” She starts to silently sob. Hearing her cries breaks your heart; you stand up and circle around the table to hug her.
“You are already doing a great job. Ava is so proud and thankful for you. You are already doing the best you can, which is more than enough.”
She removes herself from the hug. And you continue, “Where are you staying? Not Ava, but you.”
“I’m staying during the night at a local women’s shelter. I know it’s not ideal, but it’s the best option.” She says shyly.
You couldn’t let her get back there.
“Come to my home with me. We have a spare bedroom, food, and whatever you need.”
She takes two steps back. “No no. You are already doing more than enough for us. This is too much.”
“Let me help you. You won’t leave her for too long. You need to rest too, so you can be there for her. Come on, go get your stuff. I’ll wait for you here.”
She just nods and goes to her sister’s room.
In the meantime, you text your girlfriend Alexia that Lucia will stay at your house for the night. After a few minutes, she reappears with a backpack. you exit the hospital and get to the parking lot.
You get inside your car, and she sits beside you. “I live fifteen minutes from here. I hope you are not scared of dogs because you are going to see one.”
“I don’t have a problem with dogs. I didn’t even know you owned one. Ava didn’t tell me anything about that.”
“Well, it’s not technically mine. It’s my girlfriend’s. And you will probably see her too.”
“Is she okay with me staying? Cause if that’s not the case, it’s okay.” She soon rambles.
“Don’t worry, she knows. Most probably, she won’t even know you are there. She is a sleepy head.” You smile, remembering how Alexia would never get out of bed if not for training.
“Is she a footballer too?”
“Yeah, it’s Alexia Putellas. I think you know her.”
“Oh my god! So the rumors are true.”
“Well, we tried to hide it.” You remark, slightly blushing, thinking that you actually hid your relationship well from the media.
“Not that much.” She laughs.
-
As soon as you get home, Alexia greets both of you.
“Que tal, mi amor?” She hugs you instead of kissing you and then focuses on Lucia.
“You must be Lucia. Hi, my name is Alexia.”
“Yeah, I know who you are. Here in Barcelona, everybody knows you.” She chuckles while your girlfriend blushes lightly.
You take her to your guest room and show her the bathroom. She takes a shower while you go to your kitchen, searching for Alexia.
You sit on top of the counter and ask her to come closer to you. She finds herself between your legs while you take hold of her shirt.
“I believe you owe me a kiss.”
“I’m sorry. I just didn’t know if you told her we were together or even if you wanted to kiss me in front of her.”
“Don’t worry, Amorcito.” You cutely rub her nose with yours, then put your finger to your lips, asking her to kiss you.
She kisses you sweetly, then gives you pecks everywhere on your face. First on the cheeks, then on the nose, on the forehead, and finally on the lips again. You smile at the action. Even though you had been together for three years now, she still managed to make you feel all fuzzy on the inside with even the smallest actions.
When she finished, you hugged her and stayed in her embrace until you heard a door open, and Lucia came down the stairs.
“Sorry to interrupt you guys.” She says awkwardly. “I just wanted to thank you guys again and say goodnight.” She quickly goes up the stairs, embarrassed to have interrupted something, not letting either of you reply.
“Go to the nena; I’ll get ready for bed.” Alexia encourages you.
You get to the guest room and knock on the door; you hear a faint ‘come in’ so you enter.
“I’m sorry I interrupted you guys.” She says she had her back on the head board, with the covers tucked to the stomach.
“You weren’t interrupting anything.”
“Thank you for letting me stay today. You really didn’t have to.”
“Nonsense, I’m happy you stayed. Honestly, I really needed some new energy around the house. Don’t tell Alexia, but sometimes living with her it’s like living with a granny.” You joke, earning a laugh from her, while you hear from the other room, “I heard you!”
“Ooh, she’s mad.” Lucia teases you.
“Nah, don’t worry, I said worse in three years of relationship.” Now turning back to serious, “Listen, I’m really sorry, but tomorrow I have training early tomorrow and-“
“Y/n, just tell me when I have to leave.”
“You can stay until you want; I can call you a taxi or take you to the hospital whenever me or Alexia come back from training.”
“I’ll be out of your hair in no time, don’t worry.”
“I don’t care, honestly. I know reaching out for help is difficult, but here is my phone number; if you need anything, just call me.” You gave her a note with your phone number, then affectionately caressed her cheek. “Good night Lucia.” You close the guest room door, turn off the light, and go to your room.
-
As soon as you enter your room, you are met with your girlfriend, who is cutely pouting on the edge of the bed. “I’m not a granny!”
“Yes, you are! You always go to bed early and make weird faces when you can’t see properly.” You tease her.
“I’m a footballer!”
“Yes, you are! A pretty darn good one!” You add. While literally pushing her onto the bed and getting on top of her.
“Get off me!” She says, trying to be serious. “I’m still mad at you!” She says while trying to squirm out of your grip.
“Nope! I’m sorry for calling you a granny. Will you forgive me?”
“Never!” She says, so you begin to tickle her sides. She started laughing while trying to remove your hands from her, but she couldn’t. “Okay, okay, I forgive you! Stop it!” You stop tickling her and get off her going to the bathroom.
You get ready for bed, putting on one of her nike shirts and a pair of soccer shorts, and then you plop on the bed beside Alexia. “Can I have cuddles, Amorcito?” You ask while stretching your arms, opening and closing your hands.
“Si, mi chiqui. Come here.” You put yourself on top of her and begin giving her sweet pecks in the middle of her chest. “No funny business tonight; la nena is sleeping two rooms from us.”
“I wasn’t going to do anything.” You say, continuing while smiling.
“I’m very proud of you today, Y/n.”
“I’m really sorry if I didn’t tell you beforehand.”
“Look at me.” She says, waiting for you to look at her.
“You did what is right and what everyone should do. Whatever you do, I will always support you.”
You give her a loving kiss on the lips, thanking her for the words. “Next month I’m coming with you. It’s been long overdue, and I want to meet Ava.”
-
The next day you wake up and go to see Lucia; you knock at her door, but she doesn’t reply, so you slowly enter the room. You found all of the bedsheets neatly folded and a note that thanked you for everything. You were a little disappointed, but you knew how difficult it was to trust people and accept help, especially when you are alone. You figured that she probably went to see her sister in the hospital.
-
The following month you finally brought Alexia with you. The kids would always ask you to bring her to the hospital, but unfortunately, she never had the time to do that with her busy schedule. You had already informed the hospital that you would come, and the children were thrilled to do something different rather than always boringly watching tv or reading some children’s book.
As Alexia greeted all the kids and played and joked with them, you went to see Ava, hoping that you would see Lucia too. You didn’t expect to see everything packed up and the two girls with their backpacks on, ready to go.
As soon as she saw you, Ava ran up to you, and you lifted her weak body, giving her a hug. “The doctor said I can go home now! I’m not sick anymore!”
“I’m so happy!” You say while hugging her a little tighter.
“So, who is it today? Who did you bring today?” She asks you excitedly.
“Why don’t you go and find out?” You say, indicating where Alexia is; she quickly squirms out of your embrace, exiting the room and leaving you alone with Lucia. Her eyes stuck to the floor from the moment you opened the door. She wouldn’t look at you.
“I’m really happy that she is finally healthy now,” You say honestly.
“That’s the most important thing.” She agrees weakly, finally looking at you.
“How are you feeling?”
“I’m feeling better now that she is better.”
“Where will you guys stay now?”
She hesitates, but then slowly, she starts, “I do-“
“Lucia! Look who came today with y/n!” Suddenly Ava came inside the room, dragging Alexia with her.
“Hi, Lucia.” Alexia waves at her, then focus again on Ava. “Y/n, how did you manage to convince Alexia to come here today?” Ava asks you in awe. “She is soo famous and the best player in the whole world!”
“I know! She really wanted to come, though, right?” You say, searching for Alexia’s confirmation. “Yes, of course!” She says, then kneeling in front of the small kid, “Y/n talks a lot about you.” She whispers, “She never talks about you, though,” She remarks, smirking. Alexia puts her hand on her hand, pretending to be offended.
“Who cares? I’m still better than her at football,” She whispers loud enough for you to hear, then sending you a cheeky wink; you react by poking your tongue out at her. This made Alexia earn a laugh from Ava and a chuckle from Lucia. She then drags Alexia out of the room, asking her if she could show her a trick with the ball.
“She’s her favorite player; our dad always brought us to your games.” She says sadly.
“I didn’t know you liked football.”
“I loved football, I even used to play it until a year ago, but now it brings out too many memories, so no football for me for a while.” She chuckles.
“Which position did you play?”
“Guess.”
“Center back?”
“Nah, striker.”
“Oh wow! I’m sure you were the top scorer in your team.” You nod, surprised.
“I was, I even was called up in La Masia, but my parents wanted me home, and then Ava got sick, so I never was able to go.”
“Oh wow! You were good then!”
“Don’t act too surprised!” She says, teasing you, hitting you on the shoulder.
“I’m not!” You say rubbing where she just hit you “If the circumstances were different, would you have wanted to go?”
“Yes? I guess, I don’t know? I loved football.”
“Not anymore?”
“I haven’t played in so long; I don’t think I even remember how to kick a ball.” She chuckles.
“Well, I guess we have to find out!” You say, while she looks at you puzzled.
“Come on, go get your stuff.” You say to her while putting your backpack on your shoulders, waiting for her to do the same.
“Where do you want to take me?” She says, looking at you puzzled.
“Don’t you wanna show off your skills?”
“I guess I don’t?”
“Come on, it will be fun!” You try to convince her.
“I don’t have cleats.” She tries to find an excuse.
“What’s your shoe size?”
“39, why?”
“I have the same size. If you want, you can use a spare pair of mine.” You offer.
“Why are you so nice to me?”
“I’m not being nice; this is me trying to show you that you, too, deserve to be happy, and you can have fun even if you think you don’t deserve it.”
“I-I don’t know what to say. I can’t leave her alone in the hospital; that girl has too much energy for a cancer patient.” She jokes.
“I think Alexia is keeping her busy enough. I genuinely think she is trying to steal my girlfriend from me.” She’s still not convinced. “Besides joking, Alexia is really good with kids, and she wouldn’t mind, but if it bothers you, we can bring her with us. Or they can come later on.”
“Oh, definitely, later on, I won’t embarrass myself with Alexia Putellas; I don’t think I could recover from that.”
“Oh, thank you! You know I am too a Barça player, right? And that I was the one that scored the winning goal in the last champions league, right?” You fake being offended.
“Oh, it was merely a tap-in.” She jokes, trying to rile you up. You knew she was joking, but you also knew this was a low blow to your confidence.
“Patri was the real hero in that Final, and I guess it was a tap-in, but it still brought us to the victory; that’s got to be worth something.”
“You know Ava basically woke up the whole floor when you scored that goal; she was so happy.” She smiles at you, quickly reminiscing that memory.
“Well, I can show you that I can score goals that are not tap-ins if you come with me.”
“Let’s see if you can do that!” She challenges you.
“If you win, I will get you two tickets to Camp Nou next year for every match you want to see, but if I win, you will let me help you.” You hesitate to say those words, hoping you wouldn’t push her away.
“Prepare to spend a lot of money because I never give up.” She teases you.
“You have some confidence, pequeña.”
“I’m not small!”
“Come on, go and say goodbye to Ava; we’ll leave in five minutes.”
As she exits the room to find Ava, you wait in there for her when you see your girlfriend appear from the door.
“Ava is wonderful.” She says while taking your hands.
“So wonderful that you would stay with her for another couple of hours?” You try while she gives you a puzzled look.
“What did you do, Y/n?” She asks, removing her hands from yours.
You tuck your arms behind your back, and shyly, you explain. “I’m taking Lucia to the field. Apparently, she played football, so I want her to have fun for a minute.” She doesn’t reply, so you continue, “But if it’s too much, I can bring her with me and Lucia, no problem. I just-“
“You are rambling, mi amor.” She says while grabbing you by the waist, trying to ground you. “You go have fun with her. I will come to the field after so we can play together.” She offers while smiling at you.
You give to get on your tippy toes and give her a small peck on the lips, “Thank you, Amorcito.”
“Just don’t have too much fun without me.” She grins, giving you a forehead kiss. You hear steps coming your way; you turn your head and see Lucia and Ava looking at you.
“You two are disgusting,” Lucia says, giving you guys a disgusted face while you just laugh at her. Ava instead looks at the two of you, trying to understand what the relationship is between the two of you. She looks at you and asks, “Is Alexia your wife?”
You choke on saliva, not expecting that question. After a mild coughing session, you received an annoying look from Alexia and Lucia.
Not that you didn’t want to marry her because she was the only woman you could see yourself growing old with, but you were just waiting for the right moment to propose. Honestly, you didn’t even know if she wanted to get married, especially to you.
You reply, “No, no, she is my girlfriend.”
“Wow, how did you land her?” She asks you curiously.
“Why is everybody bullying me today?” You say exasperatedly without even replying to the question. “Lucia, are you ready to go?”
After saying goodbye, you get in the car with Lucia and drive to the training facility.
“So I guess you don’t like the idea of getting married?” Lucia asks, breaking the silence.
“No no, it’s not that. I would love to get married, especially with someone like Alexia; she is incredible and so supportive.” You take a deep breath. “Do you want to know a secret?”
“Wait, are you going to propose?” She asks excitedly.
“I was planning to!”
“Oh my god!”
“Don’t you dare tell her! Or I swear I’ll get mad.”
“I won’t” She makes the movement of zipping her mouth with her hand and throwing the key away.
-
You get to the training facility a few minutes later; the field is closed, so Lucia looks at you and asks, “If it’s closed, how can we enter?”
“Can you keep another secret?” She nods, and you take out a key and unlock the door. “I was drunk after we had won our first Champions League, I don’t know why, but I decided I wanted the keys to the field, so I convinced Mapi and Patri to help me. Let’s just say that Alexia had to come out and help us because we were too drunk to keep quiet, and she didn’t want me to get in trouble. I got the keys, made two other copies for my accomplices, and slept on the couch for two days, but it was well worth it.” You say proudly.
“You know, when I imagined what you were like, when we would see you on tv or at the stadium, I pictured you differently.” She smiles at you while following you to the changing rooms.
“How did you picture me?” She asked curiously while handing her a spare pair of cleats.
“They call you the asesina silenciosa for a reason, you know?” While putting on the cleats, she continues, “You are always so cold and precise on the pitch, scoring and assisting in so many games, whereas in real life, you are basically the opposite. You are very nice, and you always try to help everybody, and a literal gay panic in front of Alexia; it’s so funny and very painful to see.”
“She’s just very beautiful and amazing, okay? Leave me alone.” You reply shyly, blushing a little.
“So, are you ready to get your ass beaten?” She asks you jokingly.
“You know that I’m a professional athlete, right? I get paid to play football.”
“Don’t get too cocky, Y/ln.”
You get on the pitch and begin passing the ball to each other; initially, she was a little rusty, but as soon as she got comfortable with the ball, you knew she had a lot of talent and potential.
“So favorite player?” You ask her.
“Messi. He’s just way too good and so great to watch.” She answers. “What about you?”
“All-time favorite, of course, is Messi too, but right now, I really enjoy seeing playing Rodri and De Bruyne.”
After passing the ball to each other and chatting, you begin doing some shooting drills and dribbling. You were shocked, to say the least; she was so good, she dribbled with ease, and her finishing skills were incredible.
The first time she dribbled past you, your ego got scarred for life, but then as time went on, you began cheating a little by holding her shirt or picking her up from the air and moving her whole body away from the ball. She would get mad at you, while you would just laugh it out, but she began to do the same thing to you after a while. By the end, you were laughing on the ground, trying to catch your breath.
As you both calmed down, she began talking. “I really missed it.”
“Playing football?”
“Yes, and having fun. You know, I couldn’t even touch a ball after our parents left us; my dad was the one that loved soccer and Barcelona maybe more than anything, probably more than his family. I tried playing soccer to make him proud of me so that maybe he could see and pay attention to me, but I guess it wasn’t enough. After Ava was diagnosed with Leukaemia, they told me they would have to go on a ‘work trip,’ but they never returned. And I stopped playing football.”
“I hope that this didn’t bring back bad memories. I know how it feels when you think you are not good enough, but if it helps, you are a great kid, Lucia. In these last months, you have proven yourself to be more than enough for Ava and your parents. Any parent would be proud of what you did for Ava; not everyone is capable of that or willing to do it. You have proved everyone wrong. You couldn’t be more proud of yourself.”
“Thank you, I really needed to hear that.” She breaks down crying.
“Come here.” You say to her while gently holding her while she cries. “Let it all out; I’m here for you.” After a few minutes, she stops; you keep hugging her, waiting for her to let go of you, when you hear a car arrive. “Your sister is here. Do you want me to come with you to freshen up?”
“No, no. I can go alone; just tell them I went to the bathroom.” She informs you.
“Will do, captain.” You say, giving her the military salute; she replies with a surprised chuckle and a ‘you’re so weird.’
As Alexia gets inside the pitch, you see Ava running towards you, giving you a crushing hug that makes you stumble from your sitting position on the grass to falling to your back on the ground.
“How did it go with Alexia? Did she behave well?” You ask the little girl.
“We stayed at the hospital, we played games and I pranked a nurse!” You hear the voice of Lucia from behind you, so you tell her sister to go to her and cheer her up. As she walks to her sister, Alexia sits next to you, and you turn to her.
“You are really good with kids.” She remarks.
“You too, you know. Would you ever want kids?” You ask her.
“I never thought about it, but I think it would be something I would like with you.”
“I think I need to help them. They deserve to have a house and a support system. Lucia is so smart and kind, and fierce. While, Ava is so full of energy, funny, and sneaky.”
“I love you, Y/n, and even though this is too early and I still haven’t fully processed every-“
“It’s too much for you. I get it. But they’ll be on the streets if I don’t help them. You must understand why I’m doing this, but I can’t do this without you.”
“We’ve been by each other’s sides for years; you think I’m gonna leave now? If you’d let me finish, Y/n, I would have told you to do it. I will always support you, and I kinda got attached to the Nena. So go through with it; you have my full support.”
“If it actually happens, our lives are going to change drastically, would you be ready for that?”
“I got you all for myself for three years; it’s time to expand our little family. Of course if they want to. Don’t push too hard; she is still scarred and scared to trust again. Be cautious.”
“I don’t know how I got so lucky.” You say beaming at her.
“I’m the lucky one.” She smiles while gently rubbing my thigh and then standing up.
She goes to Lucia and asks her if she wants to play some football with her; she is hesitant at first, but after a bit of convincing from you and Alexia, she eventually decides to play with her, but you know that she is holding back.
Alexia knew that something was wrong. Hence, she took the ball into her hands,  and stopped the little competition that they were doing, “I’m not made of glass; you can play harder on me, you know.” She offers.
Lucia throws her hands in the air, “I’m not going to be the reason why La Reina got injured again.”
“I’m taller and stronger than you; you won’t injure me.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure.” She chuckles while they return to playing, Lucia clearly getting more physical.
You laughed at their interaction and how Lucia worried about hurting Alexia;.while Alexia just wanted to have fun. After a while of playing, Alexia turned her head to you, mouthing the words “She’s good”, you respond by nodding approvingly, shifting your focus on the little child next to you, who at the moment was very quiet.
“Did you get your autograph from Alexia?” You ask her, trying to break the silence.
She slowly nods, still looking at her sister, then turns to you. “Yes, only one, though.”
“You didn’t want one for you?”
“No, I only got one for me; I didn’t want to sell hers.” You see her softly yawn, trying to keep open her eyes.
“Did you have fun today?”
She nods, then looks again at her sister, who was trying to dribble past Alexia, “I hadn’t seen her that happy since before I got sick.” She smiles like a proud sister, showing signs of her tiredness again.
“Are you tired?” You ask her.
“No.” She says defensively while crossing her arms, yawning again. You chuckle at her, finding it adorable how she tries to hide how much she wants to sleep.
“Yes, you are!” You say, poking her side. “You can nap if you want; I’ll watch out for your sister for you.” You offer.
She slowly nods and then moves near you; you didn’t expect her to sit between your legs, curling on your chest. You were shocked; you didn’t know what to do, so you just put your hands on her tiny body and rubbed her back. “You’re comfier than the grass.” She says, dozing off to sleep. You kiss the top of her head and then whisper, “Go to sleep, Nena.” And she did.
You were physically in a very weird position, as you knew that you would be getting cramps in a couple of minutes, while mentally, you couldn’t nor remember the instance of ten years ago when you were holding your brother in the same position you were with Ava. She reminded you of Nico, both of them had the same personality and were too smart for their age.
Trying to get more comfortable, you slowly sink to the ground from your sitting position. At the same time, Ava gently stirs, repositioning herself, fisting your shirt with her tiny hand, not wanting you to let go, even though you wouldn’t go for the world. After a few minutes, you doze off and get woken up by a light caress on your cheek. You slowly open your eyes, Ava is still sleeping soundly, and on your side, Alexia is waiting for you to wake up.
“Mi Chiqui is getting dark outside; we need to leave.” You slowly get up, still Ava in your arms, spoiler alert: you couldn’t feel your arms and back anymore. She gently stirs awake, “Shhh, go back to sleep.” You whisper to her, still rubbing her tiny back. She was so small for a six-year-old.
You see Lucia, she was taking your cleats off her feet; putting on her shoes again. You give Ava to Alexia, and then you walk up to her. “I’m sorry she had to sleep on you; I-I was just too caught up playing that I didn’t even notice she was tired. I’m really sorry.” She tries to explain.
“Hey, don’t apologize; you were having fun, and she was just tired after a long day. And now look! She stole my girlfriend again.” You say sincerely while trying to joke in the last part, pointing at Alexia, who was rocking Ava in her arms, showing off one of her big smiles reserved for children and for the people she loves.
Then you turn to her and ask her, “Are you hungry?”
“Oh yeah, I’m starving. I haven’t run that much in months.” Then she backtracks. “Oh, wait. I knew what you were doing; you are trying to manipulate me into eating with you guys.” She asks, clearly understanding your intentions.
“Manipulate is a big word, isn’t it? I guess you can call it offering to eat something with us?”
“Nah, the right word is definitely manipulate or gaslight.” She remarks.
“Well, do you want to come with us?”
“I don’t know; I must get her to bed.”
“Where are you guys staying, if I can ask?”
“You already know the answer. And don’t you dare ask me to stay with you. That is too much, and I wouldn’t know how to repay you. I can deal with everything on my own.”
You knew she wouldn’t budge on that one, but you had to give it to her; she knew your actions before you said anything.
“Why don’t we just eat something and figure everything out later?” You offer.
-
So you did that; you brought Lucia and Ava into your home, ordered take-out, and put on a movie to watch. Alexia and Ava were petting Nala, which in the beginning, the little dog hid in your room, but progressively through the night, she slowly got accustomed to the new people and gladly accepted the cuddles that the younger girl had given her.
The scene that was before your eyes oddly felt really domestic. Most nights with Alexia, if they weren’t spent out with friends, would include snuggling on the couch and relaxing; the only difference was that there were two new other people now.
You tried not to get too attached to them and tried not to act as a parent but more like someone that could help. They already had parents, and you for sure didn’t want to replace them. You just wanted to give the help you weren’t given when it happened to you, so if some food and a roof were needed, you wouldn’t hesitate to share that and maybe a little love here and there.
Ava was asleep, and Alexia was about to, so you tried to get the attention of Lucia so you could talk to her. You went outside on the porch with her so you wouldn’t disturb Ava from her much-needed sleep.
“Thank you for today, I really appreciated everything you did for us, but I think we have to get going.”
“You can always stay here.” You offer while she tries to dissuade you. “Listen, if it’s a problem to stay with us, I can book you a hotel room, but please let me help you find accommodation. I would love for you to stay until you find a better place. Ava can start school, while you could go and play in La Masia, or finish school and go to university, or both, whichever you prefer. And I know I’m not your mother, nor your relative, I’m just a stranger, but it wouldn’t sit well with me to let you guys leave somewhere that maybe it’s not even safe.”
“I don’t want to be a burden. And you don’t owe me anything.” She scratches her forehead, thinking, “Why are you even doing this?”
“What?”
“Why are you helping us?”
“Honestly? I don’t know. I just know that I would love to help you in every way you let me. And you can always tell me to fuck off. But I hope you don’t” She chuckles, and for the first. The time she looks at you. “So what do you think?”
She remained silent for a while, while you patiently waited for her to reply, hoping it would be a positive answer. “Only until I can find a better solution for us. Plus, Ava already loves it here and loves you. When she saw you for the first time, she kept gushing about you and how you were her second favorite player, the first being Alexia” You chuckle. “And maybe living in a real house is better than waiting for social workers to find another accommodation.” She shyly adds. “I think you should ask Alexia if it’s okay for her too; I don’t want to get in the middle of you too.”
“She’s okay with it. She loves kids, and believe me, in a matter of days, she’s going to turn all protective, especially with Ava; she always had a soft spot for kids. As for the social workers, let me handle it, okay? I’ll try my best to make it as quick as possible.” She slowly nods and whispers a ‘thank you,’ taking you by surprise and hugging you. It took you a second to react, but soon you tightened the embrace, waiting for her to leave it.
“Probably, it’s going to be much of a burden for you rather than us.” You chuckle, “When our friends and Alexia’s family and my brother find out that we have two new people in our home, they’ll want to meet you. But I’ll take care of it.” You explain.
She removes herself from your embrace and looks at you. “Can I come to your games too? I miss being at the stadium.” She asks shyly.
“Oh, you must!” Your jokes. “I expect you to come every week with my jersey on.” You grin, pointing at her.
“We’ll see about that. I also like some other players in the squad, like Mapi Leon or Caroline Graham Hansen.” She playfully smirks.
“Then I don’t think I can give you any tickets.” You fake being offended. “Now go to your sister and take her to bed.” You grin, winking at her.
“Yeah, yeah. Thank you y/n.”

Tumblr media
It is not hyperbole to say that early mornings are the only time of day when the Dadan Family base is peaceful.
The sun has barely risen, the morning birds have barely begun their song and most everyone is still snoring away in their cots. Early mornings and late evenings have become Dadan’s favorite time of day, citing them as the only times she is ever allowed a moment of peace.
That peace is stalled whenever Garp visits.
“You sure you don’t wanna come with us,” you ask Ace a final time before you leave for your hometown.
Ace shakes his head with a small smile, “they’re more your friends than mine.” A true sentiment, in your six years of knowing each other, there is still a distinction between your friends in Windmill Village and your friends living among bandits on Mt. Corvo. “Tell ‘em I said ‘congrats’ though. We might end up seeing them later down the road.”
“As marines!” Garp calls over his shoulder gruffly, not waiting for you to catch up. He has one more year to change his grandson’s mind about becoming a marine before the two of you left Dawn Island for saltier pastures. If he knew that fact, however, you’re sure the marine would grab you both by the back of your shirts and drag you to the port in Windmill Village this second. “You should take after those boys!”
The boys in question are Demarius and Stacey.
They’ve adored Garp since before you knew Ace was his grandchild, constantly pleading for him to take them to a naval base. He promised to do so once they turned 16. The least you could do was bid your friends farewell before they lived out their naval dreams.
Ace rolls his eyes, “Pirate!”
“It’s too early in the morning for you two to start that old fight again,” Dadan grumbles, turning around to head back inside. This was enough kissing Garp's butt for her, tucking away her handkerchief. “I get nothing but headaches when Garp comes around.”
You snicker at the grouchy woman’s exit, looking over her shoulder. The door to the room you share is shut close but you can easily picture Luffy stretched out and snoring, limbs all over the place wildly. He’ll be adding to Dadan’s headache soon enough. “Alright, well, I’ll be back later,” you tell Ace unnecessarily.
“You should spend the night in town,” Ace’s disgruntled expression shifts into something warm. You remember a time when he seldom smiled and could only offer you scowls. It’s hard to believe how much he smiles now, your lips quirking instinctively at the sight. “You haven’t been in town for a while. Everyone probably misses you.”
You lean forward, wiggling your eyebrows, “aww, trying to get rid of me now? You’re just trying to get more of a cut at dinner.”
“Maybe,” Ace’s grin widens and you share a laugh before Garp calls after you, further away than he was last.
Damn for an old man he moves fast. “See you,” you nudge your freckled friend before turning on your feet, nearly tripping as you stumble after his grandfather. “I’m okay,” you call over your shoulder.
Garp is grumbling to himself as you approach him. You don’t need to hear his words clearly to know he is thinking about his pirate obsessed grandsons. “Those dolts,” he mutters. “You used to play marines all the time with those kids in town. Now they’ve got you talking about being a pirate. You’ll all be marines, mark my words!”
“I really only ever wanted to just sail on the seas,” you tell Garp truthfully. Even as a child when Demarius demanded you play marines because he always wanted to play marines, you never played because you aspired to be one. It didn’t have to be the marines, it didn’t have to be pirates, you just wanted to set sail on the ocean blue. Pirate merely became the subsequent medium you vowed to pursue. “The marines kinda seem,” you mull over your next words carefully. “Strict. I just wanna see the world, not be told what to do.”
“Discipline is a good thing,” is his rebuttal. He certainly was very strict in the training you unwittingly got pulled into once he discovered your true intentions.
Silence falls between you both but it isn’t comfortable, not like the silences you’re used to.
Silence in Dadan’s home is accompanied by snores or the movement of someone heading to the bath. Luffy mumbling in his sleep about the many adventures he and his dream crew are on causing you and Ace to share a look and chuckle quietly under your breaths.
It’s when you tell yourself ‘Today’s the day I actually do it’ and you count away in your head the number of Ace’s freckles until you inevitably mess up the count and have to start all over again.
It’s when it’s raining and you, Ace and Luffy sleep in an empty hollow of a tree, the croak of the frogs singing to the drops.
Silence with Garp is suffocating and the jungle is too quiet and your brain too full of anxiety-ridden hypotheticals to even think about your childhood friends you’d be bidding farewell to. Instead, the ones you wouldn’t be saying goodbye to were at the forefront of your mind.
Another minute of silence follows before you’re unable to stop the words from falling from your lips, “Mr. Garp?”
Garp hums gruffly, bark worse than his bite, “what is it?”
“Let’s say that, hypothetically speaking of course, Ace and Luffy do become pirates,” you begin nervously, wincing at how the older man’s eyes sharpened at the word. “Hypothetically!” You’ve been a recipient of many of the marine’s Fists of Love, despite not belonging to his family, you don’t fancy receiving another. “They hypothetically become pirates and end up getting taken in,” you lick your lips as you try to imagine the scenario.
To your discomfort, it is terrifyingly easy to imagine Ace and Luffy in shackles.
The spectacle the World Government would make of it all. The grand executions of the sons of Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Dragon.
The vitriol of the onlookers spewing words of hatred and damnation. No one would know who they are, not the onlookers in the crowds or the marines holding the weapons that would end their lives. Devils, they would be called.
There would be one marine who knew them, however. Who truly knew them and not what they represented. It only breaks your heart that in your many years of knowing the older man that you don’t know what end of the spectrum he falls on. No, that’s an incorrect assessment. What breaks your heart is that it has always been too easy suspecting precisely where Monkey D. Garp would fall.
In spite of your suspicions, you still part your lips and ask, “would you help them?” Uncharacteristically, you fiddle with your fingers, the index finger of your right hand being nestled by the thumb and index finger of your left. Clad in a tacky red button up with white roosters, the stocky man’s back seems broader than usual.
It’s the long pause between your question and his answer that sinks in your chest like a knife. “They,” Garp begins but you cut the man off with a laugh.
“Don’t be so serious,” you laugh so convincingly you almost believe you’re unbothered. “I was just messing around. I’m up in the air on the pirate thing but for all we know, Luffy’ll start talking about being the Marine King the next time you see him.”
The elderly marine laughs at the absurdity of your thought, “a king among marines, that’ll be the day.”
“Your shadows not with you for once?” Stacey jokes lightheartedly as he leans his head over in mock surprise at the lack of people accompanying you.
“I’m pretty sure Mr. Garp would drag them onto that boat if they did,” anything to make those two follow in their grandfather’s footsteps. “Ace sends his congratulations anyways.”
“I’m still convinced that guy was replaced by aliens,” Demarius murmurs, squinting at the mountain’s peaks with narrowed eyes. You snort at the absurdity. You, along with your village-bound friends, had met Ace when he was more angry at the world and nearly all of the people inhabiting it. To say they’d been shocked when, the next time they met him, Ace was polite and all smiles is an understatement. Demarius’ suspicious glance lasts a beat longer before he turns his dark eyes to you, shoulders set back. “You can still come with us, you know.”
You remember being 10, running down these dirt roads playing marines with your friends as a rowdy quintet.
The battles you pretended to have against whatever made-up opponents Demarius decided you’d be fighting against. He’d always been the leader of the five of you ー him, Stacy, Pierre, Lisa Lisa and you ー would find yourselves on the tempestuous seas of the Grand Line, all odds against you.
“This is not a good day for battle but it is a glorious day to die,” you remember resolutely saying, words too heavy for someone who hadn’t been in a real fight her entire life until that point.
Real fights came after you met Ace and Sabo. When you began running amok in the capital and Gray Terminal. Real battle came when their angering the Bluejam pirates caught up with them. You couldn’t say you felt glorious fighting the Bluejam pirates in the flames of their hideout. Nor could you say Sabo’s horrifying end was glorious either. There is no glory in fighting but you will do what you have to to protect who you have left.
Pulling yourself from the memories, you shake your head, “you’ll see me at sea next year,” you vow with a grin. You lower your voice so the cantankerous marine behind you cannot hear what you say next. “It’ll just be in a way that pisses off the old man.”
There’s simply one more year to go.
You, alongside the other locals, wave the boys down until they become nothing but a speck on the horizon. Well, off their asses go. You sit on the porch step of what used to be the house that belonged to you and your grandfather. I think the last time I came here it was like, you purse your lips thoughtfully. Shiiieet, 3 months ago? You seldom spend time in the empty shack now. It is only good for your occasional visits and when you’re too lazy to head back up to Dadan’s. That is where home is now.
It’s wherever Ace and Luffy are.
Ace and Luffy who you know Garp loves but will always choose work first. He always has and he always will, so you will always choose them instead.

I also wrote this at like 2am with a sudden rush of inspiration...
I haven't written in a while and I'm completely new to this, I have never written on tumblr so forgive my formatting please. I don't know how to feel about this
≻─ ⋆✩ word count: 1.6K
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
The traveler says nothing as they observe the Pyro archons family portrait, one that had been painted to her family's likeness. Apart from her parents and her sister, there had been someone else, clearly bearing no resemblance to any of the family, this someone had their arms linked around the archon - everyone smiling. The traveler notes how the archon can't seem to tear her gaze away from the portrait, before she snaps back to the situation at hand. Her eyes drift back to the image during their conversation and they wonder just how long the archon's duties had kept this archon away from her family. The answer was too long - longer than what the traveler had ever imagined.
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
The day your love officially decides to sacrifice herself, was one you already knew was coming. There had been discussions for long before it had been finalised and you were just hoping that your darling wife could let a different archon do this... It's not like Natlan lacked in archons, with the possibility for any human to ascend to the seat. Sure, it was selfish, that much you knew but did she really have to be the one? It hurt to know that Mavuika had to be - to give up her life and return five centuries in the future. Five centuries and without you. And you would live the rest of your life without her.
There had been arguments and heated discussions that ended up resulting in everyone's anger and it helped no one, really. At some point, you had to accept it, before you sent off your love with anger instead of some final memories of love and joy. Her mind was clearly made up, long before the final announcement.
It was hard, of course. Hard to accept because suddenly your wife was a ticking time bomb. A set date and a set time, where she would cease to be with you and then she would be lost. She would die and sure, she would be resurrected later... But not in your life time. She would be gone and you would never see your wife alive again. It had felt almost like a doctor's diagnosis, when they give you a time limit. But at least people still had the hope of fighting off an illness and pushing through. This date was final and it was becoming so very real and closing in so very fast.
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
The last of her days were spent easy and quiet. Away from the archon life and responsibilities - Mavuika had already ensured she completed everything before the announcement. She had her last days to be spent, after all.
You'd gone out together with her sister, Hine, travelling around Natlan one last time... There had been time spent curled up together, relishing in each other's warmth once more and the comfort found in each other's arms. Soon, sleep would not come easy for you. Too used to the warmth of your lover.
You'd brought her for a quick visit to Sumeru, though it had been rather uneventful and... A lot of sand. More than you'd ever encountered in Natlan and finer than you'd encountered. Dunes and dunes of sand in every direction and wind that blew the sand everywhere and it had stubbornly clung to everything. You spend time still getting sand out of your clothes and bags long after your darling has passed.
In the nights, quiet words of comfort are exchanged and promises made. Mavuika had already requested her wedding ring be kept somewhere... Somewhere she could find when she inevitably rose once more in the future. You cling to your wife, even in your sleep and you dream of a future that you will never be able to have with her.
At times, it feels like you are grieving the loss before it happens. But how do you not when you know it would happen already?
No matter how much fun and laughter is spent together in each day. No matter the soft kisses and tender touches... Your wife would die in a matter of days. And you were powerless to stop it.
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
"Come on love, its time to get up", She whispers, though she doesn't shake you awake. The sun had long rose and the colours of the sky had shifted from the orange and purple sunrise hues into the bright sky of a new day. You looked ethereal - the sunlight catching in your hair and sprawled across the pillows. And so at peace, without the weight of a hidden grief that you carried over the last few weeks.
She supposes it was how you saw her when she set her hair aflame. 'it's beautiful, angelic even...', you'd told her once. If she brought up the comparison you would probably laugh. Something about how the sunlight in your hair could not compare to an archon's beauty. Her beauty. But still she watches as the sun dances across your skin with a wonderful glow.
"We don't have anything on today.", Is the only response she gets, your voice laced with sleep, before you bury your face into her neck, turning away from the sun's glare. You can feel her laughter as she runs her fingers through your hair and you are lulled back to sleep with the rhythmic and soothing quality of it. When you wake later, you find yourself still tangled with your wife and she too had been dragged back to the land of dreams.
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
The day comes and... The moment your wife gives you the last kiss, last hug and last touch... It passed numbly. She hugs her family goodbye, final words are exchanged... and then she's gone. You had not been allowed to witness the actual sacrifice and you did not want to either ways. The feeling remains numb until it's night time and you're alone. Alone for the first time in... Years. Since you had married, she had always been home for bed, curling up together and relishing in the warmth that radiated through the house. Warmth of the person, in both the figurative and literal sense... And it was gone.
The dam breaks and you cry yourself to sleep. You wake exhausted, despite the full night of rest and it is painful. You force yourself to go about your day and life continues on.
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
It hurts even more, when Hine, still young and perhaps she had not quite grasped the meaning of gone. She's inconsolable at first, but soon gains a kind of fire in her, insistent that there's some way of seeing her sister again in the future. Her determination would have been adorable, if you weren't already aware that living that long was impossible and just barely coping with your grief. And unlike your wife (ex...wife? No, she was your wife even if she had passed.) no one else really had that 'wayob ordained purpose' to rise again and protect Natlan from destruction so far into the future.
Five centuries was almost unfathomable to you. No one, short of gods and perhaps the Adepti you hear about in stories from Liyue could live that long. But you were no such mythical beast nor were you a god. You were as human as they got and so was Hine.
Regardless, you force a kind smile as you work together to theorise ways to live that long. To see her sister again and to see your wife again. It's not possible, you already know, and you hoped that her sister would see it before she was too far gone in her aspirations for the far future. She does, eventually, almost a full year later when the passion mellow and it finally hits that she's gone. You hold each other as you both cry and mourn the loss of a loved one.
──────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ────────────────
Five centuries later and Mavuika rises once more. She finds the wedding ring that she painstakingly stored and had a family portrait made. Painted onto her father's old armour, she describes her family to the best of her ability and she almost weeps at the likeness that the artist manages to capture.
She cannot mourn now, not really. She already accepted her fate in the centuries before and she knew what she was giving up. But if not her, then who? She had a duty to her nation. The grief hits her in the quiet hours of the night when she isn't the Pyro archon of Natlan but just Mavuika . No one fights alone - but why did she feel like this was a battle she was oh no lonely in. So far into the future and so much has changed since the past.
Unfortunately, little survives five centuries of erosion. She doesn't know exactly of what happens to her family. Her sister... Has some records and she pieces together that her younger sister managed to be an architect. Playing a major role in rebuilding the Scions of the Canopy.
But you... Some evidence points to you also became an architect alongside her sister. Helping to rebuild and design the children of the Echoes. Some say you died young, a mysterious disease that compromised your immune systems. Others say you eventually left Natlan to a different nation, which one is unclear but you never returned until much later in life. But all records are alike in stating that you never remarried and never took on another love.
And so Mavuika sits alone and she prays (to who? to who does an archon pray to?) that in the end, her sacrifice is worth it. That giving up everything had been worth it. And she hopes, so desperately that when her (second) human life expires, she can see you again.
