It was the third week into the semester, and the looming weight of group projects hung over your head. You weren’t exactly thrilled to be working with this particular group. Two of your teammates were clearly overconfident, but you knew they didn’t have a firm grasp on the material. And you, the quiet, reserved student who preferred to keep to yourself, couldn’t bring yourself to speak up when they made mistake after mistake, arguing with each other in the most misguided ways.

Dan Heng sat beside you, his expression unreadable as he observed the chaos unfolding. He’d noticed how the loud voices of the others ignored your hesitant attempts at pointing out inconsistencies, brushing off your input as if you were invisible.

At first, you tried to stay silent, hoping they’d eventually come to their senses. But when one of your teammates confidently but inaccurately explained a concept you knew was wrong, you felt a tight knot in your chest.

You didn’t want to speak up. You were never good at making waves, and every time you’d tried, the others had either ignored you or worse, snapped at you for challenging them. But seeing how they all struggled, and knowing you had the knowledge to help, made you feel sick with frustration.

Before you could even formulate a way to gently intervene, Dan Heng, who had been watching quietly, straightened in his chair, his voice steady and calm, but carrying an unspoken authority. "Actually, that’s incorrect," he said, his words cutting through the heated discussion like a sharp blade. "The formula you’re referencing is incomplete. Here’s the correct way to approach it."

There was no anger in his tone, only the quiet confidence of someone who had learned to carry their wisdom with a calm demeanor. The others looked at him, startled by the correction, and quickly began to take notes.

Dan Heng turned to you, his usual stoic expression softening just a fraction. "If you ever feel the need to speak up, you don’t have to worry. I’ll make sure they listen."

His calmness was both reassuring and somehow protective. You gave him a small, grateful smile, feeling a little lighter. For the first time in a long while, you didn’t feel alone in the group. With Dan Heng by your side, you knew the chaos would be brought into order.

It was another dreaded group project day, and you could feel your anxiety bubbling up as you looked around at your fellow students. Your group was… a disaster waiting to happen. One member was already rambling on about things they clearly didn’t understand, and the others were just nodding along in fake confidence. You had the answers—of course, you always did—but no one ever took you seriously.

Your soft voice and passive demeanor made it easy for them to ignore you, and even when you tried to correct them, they just dismissed you. It wasn’t your fault that they couldn’t accept that they were wrong. You couldn’t even bring yourself to insist—they were far too convinced of their own brilliance.

Then, you heard the unmistakable sound of Aventurine’s voice. "Well, it seems we're all taking a rather dramatic gamble on these assumptions," he said with that signature, playful smile of his. There was a teasing tone to his words, but there was no mistaking the sharpness that lay beneath. "Let me offer a suggestion: Instead of trying to force the problem into an answer we want, how about we let the facts guide us, hmm?"

His voice had a magnetic quality, drawing the others’ attention with ease. The others quieted, looking at him like he had the answers to everything. And, in a sense, he did. His sharp intellect and masterful manipulation of situations made him impossible to ignore.

"Let me reframe this for you," he continued, effortlessly redirecting the conversation back onto the correct track. "This concept is built on a foundation of logic and balance, not guesswork. If you do it this way..." He paused, glancing at you as if to make sure you agreed. You nodded silently, watching as the group began to shift, their previous certainty faltering under the weight of his intelligence.

Aventurine leaned in just a little closer to you, his eyes flickering with a hint of warmth. "Next time, don’t hesitate to speak up, darling. If they won’t listen, I’ll make sure they do." His wink was subtle, but it was enough to leave you feeling protected in his clever hands.

It was almost a joke how clueless your group was. Everyone had their own version of the material, and you could barely keep up with their rambling, confident errors. It was hard not to feel frustrated; you knew the facts, but no one would listen to your corrections.

Your gaze briefly met Ratio's, and he raised an eyebrow. His presence alone seemed to have the effect of calming everyone down, and he stepped forward, crossing his arms with a look of exasperation. "It’s truly fascinating," he began, his voice calm yet cutting. "How certain people can misinterpret something so basic. But perhaps it’s not surprising when the knowledge in question is so clearly… beneath you."

The others faltered under the weight of his gaze, and you could see their confidence begin to crack. Ratio didn’t mince words. "Let’s correct this once and for all," he said, taking the lead in guiding the discussion with his usual brilliance. He walked them through the proper steps with sharp, precise explanations, effortlessly dismantling their flawed understanding.

"Listen closely," he said to the group, but his eyes were directed at you, softening ever so slightly. "You, dear, should not be afraid to speak. Next time, we’ll do this properly, without the circus." His words were confident and commanding, leaving no room for dispute.

With Ratio, you felt the reassurance of a true genius guiding you through the chaos. He was intimidating, but you could tell, deep down, that he wouldn’t let you be swallowed by the ignorance of others.

Group projects had always been a source of anxiety for you, but this one was different. You could tell from the start that your team was full of people who had no idea what they were doing. And though you knew you should step in, you were too timid to correct them. They weren’t outright malicious, but they seemed so confident in their wrongness that it made you freeze.

That’s when you noticed Jiaoqiu. His calm demeanor and thoughtful expressions always seemed to bring a sense of balance to the chaos. He was sitting across from you, and you could see how he observed the group quietly, never raising his voice, yet always in control. When someone spoke out of turn, saying something completely incorrect, Jiaoqiu leaned forward slightly, his eyes glinting with quiet authority.

"Actually, the theory here is based on an assumption that doesn’t hold up," he said gently, his voice soothing but firm. "If we shift our approach slightly and reframe the context, we’ll be able to arrive at a more accurate solution."

He spoke with the wisdom and calm of someone who had seen the effects of care and understanding, even in the most chaotic of situations. He didn’t embarrass the others; instead, he guided them towards the right answers, offering an insight that left no room for argument.

As the others began to take his advice, you felt a weight lift off your shoulders. Jiaoqiu looked at you with a soft smile, his usual composed nature carrying a hint of reassurance. "Don’t worry," he said quietly, "when it gets too overwhelming, just let me handle it. You’re not alone in this."

You were trapped in a group of students who were far too confident for their own good. Their mistakes piled up, and though you knew you should correct them, you couldn’t bring yourself to speak up. Every time you tried, your voice faltered, and they either ignored you or snapped at you. It was hard to fight that anxiety, especially when the wrong answers were so confidently delivered.

His eyes, sharp and unyielding, scanned the group as he methodically explained the correct approach. He didn’t raise his voice or make a spectacle of it; he simply corrected their mistakes with calm precision, his focus unwavering.

The others, though initially resistant, began to fall into line, their earlier confidence now shattered by his quiet strength. Moze’s gaze flicked over to you, his expression unreadable but reassuring. "You don’t have to be afraid to speak. If they ignore you again, I’ll take care of it," he said, his words sharp and protective, like a silent promise.

With Moze’s presence, you didn’t have to fear the group anymore. His silent confidence shielded you, and for the first time, you felt safe in his quiet strength.

Hate it when people are like "but sometimes (generative) ai CAN be good-" because one generative ai is just making a collage out of already existing online content which is basically plagiarism. And two, ai is making a collage out of already existing online content. it is run on an algorithm. it is not conscious. it does not know right from wrong or fact from false. if you think generative ai can help people with learning disabilities (which i have btw and i don't use ai) or other issues, to read a book faster or understand a concept easier, by summarising the original content (which could also be done with notes or short yt videos which already exist online btw), than you're relying on the assumption that ai is almost always -or at the very least is more often than not- giving you the correct information. that's an incorrect assumption. generative ai is not a calculator. the only times a calculator gives you the wrong answer is when it's broken, when ai gives you the wrong answer it's working properly. pretty sure ai experts have had to explain exactly what I'm saying rn whenever they explain why chatgpt can't tell the amount of "r"s in the word strawberry. bcz it cannot fuckin think. it will simply take data from random parts of it's database and choose which parts of the data to use to make words and sentences and confidently tell you that certain ships are canon bcz there's enough chronically online people on tiktok saying it is or that the best way to tell a loaf of bread is done baking is to stick your dick in it and then site tumblr as a very valid and totally legit source. Generative ai has literally no good uses because it isn't even good at it's main use half the fuckin time.

Well as yet another person who does quite a bit of autism, I'm happy to answer this one!!! Very happy!!!!! I think of Taco as rather good afab autism rep!!! X) Sorry if this one sucks btw. I feel like I kind of just exploded all over this one.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not only dumb but also probably projecting hard. This is a matter of my view on the character, you can view her however you'd like! Though, if I say something incorrect or offensive, please know it is unintentional and please correct me! I am not an expert, just some guy. I am some autistic guy, but still, just some guy.

Taco is constantly masking!! I feel like this one's obvious. Chameleon behaviors, yeah? She changes how she acts based on who she's with to her advantage as well as . It also shows in how she acts with Mic and Mepad. With Mic, she's unable to be very genuine with her, even once she's accepted Mic as a friend and equal. Not only does she have trouble recognizing and dealing with her emotions, but she's so used to masking constantly that it's really hard for her to unmask in front of someone!!! She likes Mic a lot, but it's still hard for her to be herself since even she doesn't really know how to act "like herself" with someone. She never does it!!! Even with Mepad, when he gets some more of her genuine thoughts/feelings out of her, she's doing in under the guise of her persona as well as quickly trying to change the topic the second she realizes.

With masking, I think a lot of her stims whether they be vocal or physical are more subtle. She does it much much much more openly in season 1 when she's flanderizing the parts of herself she sees as weak or childish (something that can often come esp. with afab autism!!!!!), but things like fiddling with her teacup or invisibow or tapping her hands together reading to me as stimming!!! Hooray for stimming.

Limited social interaction/close friendships. Y'all Taco has had 3 friends ever. And we see that after season 1, she doesn't really care about anyone else but Pickle!! She hung out with Paper and OJ during s1 too, and was technically in an alliance with Bomb as well, but none of them matter to her. She picked her person and stuck to them! Season 2? She and Mic go from partners to friends, and Taco doesn't care about anyone else. She loses Mic, and despite that rousing Mepad had no advantage for her, and was frankly more like to be disadvantageous, she wakes him up. She's lost her social outlet yet again, and coming off of such a loss is the only time we see her reaching out to someone she doesn't have an established relationship with!!! You'd think that when she's getting reintroduced to the group in episode 17, she'd be trying to make them feel less wary of her presence from the moment the doors open, especially with how nervous she was about seeing them all for the first time in so long, yeah? But no, she stands there with a big dumb grin <3 and lets Mic talk. She knows she's supposed to be acting genuine like Mic wants her to, but does not know how to do that. Her first line once is doors open is her clarifying that she's being genuine, but beyond that? Quick topic chance to get the attention off of her and the fact that she hadn't been genuine in the past. And also!!! Taco has been living in the woods alone for years. For a lot of people, having no interaction for that long would be really difficult!! But Taco's only really ever wanted one or maybe two friends at a time!! She doesn't need to be around a lot of people, at least to the degree that other people do, so she's able to get by on her own better!!!! Like I said, only missing her one actual close friend. This goes more into how I think she wouldn't enjoy larger groups/crowds, since not only autism headcanon, but she's been alone for years!!! It would be really overwhelming for her!!!

Intense/possessive tendencies in friendships. The many letters sent to Pickle after season 1, her self-destructive streak after losing Mic in which she wants to, and I quote "burn [the game] down in Mic's image." Her watching them from outside the hotel. Those are all intense and possessive tendencies towards her friends!!!

Pedantic speech. This one is pretty obvious. She speaks very formally, so much so that even Mic questions if that's how she really talks in episode 11!!

Difficulty speaking when upset/emotional- She is silently staring at Mic the entire time they're in the void. She could be defending herself, arguing, explaining herself, but she is silent. She's gone from happy and proud to hurt and devastated in a single moment!!! That's a lot of strong emotional whiplash, that results in her going quiet! Yes I am projecting thank you for asking.

Constant analysis + Planning things carefully + Distress when plans are disrupted. It's Taco. She's always planning! She has a plan for when Knife discovers them right away! But when she doesn't have a back-up plan, and something goes wrong? You get incidents like the season 1 finale's aftermath and her shooting Fan & Test Tube in episode 14! Impulsive outbursts of violence and/or anger because it's genuinely difficult for her to deal with plans going awry, and she lashes out!! Strategically, it would have been better for her to keep acting after the s1 finale, yeah? But she's too distressed by her plan being thwarted and not having a back up plan to help her to keep up her act, and she snaps!! She didn't promise Mic she wouldn't be violent, but what she said did imply that she wouldn't use violence! And by episode 14, Taco genuinely really likes Mic, she wasn't dancing around agreeing because she was wanting to be violent against her wishes, yeah? She was trying to reassure Mic, even if she didn't actually understand why Mic was upset!!

Takes criticism/judgement very personally. After Mic cuts things off, mentioning Pickle and that she'd gained nothing by working with Taco is when we finally see Taco snap and start spiraling, expressing that she finds herself to be monstrous and defective!! Now, that's not to say that Taco didn't feel this way before, but that Mic openly judging her to be such a way really opened the flood gates for that self-loathing to overwhelm Taco as we see it does in the show, to the point in which she's uncaring of the inevitability of her own death due to her injury!!!!

Difficulty understanding/expressing her own emotions. Taco adamantly refuses to taco 'bout her own feelings, even if it's to her own detriment and the detriment of her relationships. She keeps accidentally getting attached to people, and didn't even realize until it was too late with Pickle!!! She pushes her own emotions down so hard that she herself doesn't even recognize them!! In the end, having someone like Mepad who has learned to understand their own emotions is what really helps her understand her own, and what helps us see a lot of progression from her after they meet!! She wants to apologize and reconnect with Pickle and Mic, despite her having not done so before because she had trouble understanding her own feelings on the matter!! She writes letters to Pickle, yes, but from what little we know about them and the apology she gave Pickle in the finale, it's her trying to logically explain and/or justify her actions, rather than any understanding/expressing of her own feelings. And this gets into my next point!!!

Difficulty understanding others emotions/Low empathy. I think Taco is a great depiction of a low empathy person!!!!!!!!! At least according to myself!!!! She canonically has trouble understanding other people's perspectives!!!!!!!!! It never crossed her mind that Pickle would be upset about her betrayal!! She didn't think Mic would be so upset at her over her shooting Fan and Testy in episode 14, despite having noticed that Mic was uneasy before!! She knew relatively explicitly from Mic's diary that she wanted recognition, and keep going with the assumption that that's what mattered most to Mic! She hadn't known that Mic's priorities had changed and that her moral compass was more important to her than accomplishing her goal, because that's not how it is for Taco!! She has trouble seeing things from others' points of view, even those important to her!!! She's not intentionally hurting them, it just genuinely doesn't occur to her that what she's doing will upset them!!!! It can also be seen in how Taco initially acts towards Mic as well before she starts putting effort into their relationship rather than just their partnership. She's pretty critical towards Mic for listening to her heart/emotions when making a decision, like when giving back the taser! She responds with anger to Mic's emotional distress when being given the taser in the first place, yeah? And this lack of empathy leads to problems in her relationships!!!!! Aaaaaaah, sorry, I love her as low empathy rep so much. She feels remorse once she realizes she's hurt people she cares about!! She just doesn't think about how her actions will affect them, yeah?

I'm going to cut it here since I typed a lot but maybe I'll come back to this if I have more thoughts. I once again apologize if this is bad because I think I just word vomited for over an hour. Thank you for sending in this ask though!!! I like thinking about autistic Taco.

This randomly fucking came to me yesterday as I was doing my Eeveeloutions only playthrough of Violet and I got to the Rika's Interview. On the question where she asks you what schools you're enrolled in, I couldn't help but notice one of the incorrect answers

Knowing that Naranja meant Orange in Spanish and Uva meant Grape, I assumed this meant something in Spanish too and lo and behold I was correct!!

This got me thinking about if there was a third gen 9 game, perhaps something to do with the present.

I immediately got to work and did a small edit on Arven's official art, which led to me making the uniforms

(you can probably tell which one I thought was better)

The idea was that red and green were the 'main' colours as those are usually the colours of an apple.

I had a few extra ideas that I very hastily sent to my friends and also got from said friends, but to list a few:

- New regional variants for Paldea, Kitakami and maybe even Unova this is just an excuse for me to draw regional Eevee actually

- (Kitakami specifically) More masks can be made for Ogerpon (except Grass, Water, Fire and Rock as they're part of the Teal Mask quest)

- The ability to actually wear casual clothes outside of the academy. Upon entering the academy, you're made to wear whatever uniform you chose, but outside you can wear whatever

(On that note, Penny's school uniform from the original post is only added AFTER finishing The Way Home. Until then, she wears her usual outfit)

- Skirts added to the academy uniform and more customisation in general for the uniforms

- More Rotom Phones, because I can

- At the start of the game, you get both Miraidon and Koraidon and can ride either. They both have certain pros and cons so you don't just stick to riding one of them the entire game.

There's also more things story wise I have but I have fears of making blog posts really long constantly, so if you want to ask about anything specific, please please ask!!!! Just note this AU is VERY new (I literally came up with the idea yesterday) so I might not have a clear answer for everything lol.

hey if you don't mind me asking what happened with Calcium cat? I followed her back when osd was still being updated and a bunch of aus are being made. I got suspicious after she answered an ask clarifying her stance on shipping saying specifically that she only ships m/f ships. the way it was phrased seem odd to me. cause it wasn't phrased in a 'most of my ships are straight' way: but rather in a 'I exclusively ship straight things' way.

after that all the 'no shipping in this au' and other small things kinda had a weird aftertaste to it so I stopped following her. I figured if my suspicions were correct then at least she was staying quiet instead of spreading her incorrect opinions. I hate callout posts and fandom drama but I remember feeling a little guilty over the years wondering if it was possible I'm the only one that noticed, and that if she went out to spread harmful beliefs that I could've prevented that someway.

i didn't mention it at the time because i didn't want to make it about myself, but having calluna follow me and basically only me and one other person who were very obviously trans whilslt following extremely hateful and bigoted beliefs hurt me in a way i couldn't imagine

she was so kind to me in every interaction and in the little messages we shared, but knowing i was only around for content and that she was willing to "agree to disagree" with my "beliefs" is crazy. she chose to follow me despite being trans and queer because i made her cute little dreamtale content to look at.

being trans isn't a belief, it isn't something that you can agree upon can be ignored in favor of other things. being trans isn't just a political opinion, it's someone's identity.

Hello Delia!! I saw your post about Percy and Helen of Sparta and it interested me so deeply. Could you tell me more about this? I'll love any of your answers.

Oh, as I said on the tags, I guess I will have to double check, it is not something so serious. Just obsessing over something. But alright, let's go, shall we?

Both Helen and Percy were children of major gods. Helen was a daughter of Zeus, while Percy is a son of Poseidon. Their status and parentage didn't save them from being right at the core of the conflict.

Helen was said to have a divine beauty. A beauty similar of divine beings.

Percy was mistaken as God by Hazel because of his aura.

Helen was said to have been "The Most Beautiful Woman" in the world, while Percy was said to have been "The Most Powerfull Demigod of His Generation" or something like that. Forgive me if I am mistaken fandom and canon with this title.

Now, both were technically puppets in the gods hand. Everyone knows how Eris crashed the wedding between Peleus and Thetis and threw the fruit which was inscribed "to the fairest" and Zeus had to choose either to give it to Hera, Aphrodite or Athena.

To not cause turmoil for him, he told Paris, the exiled prince of Troy (ilion), to make the choice and he choose Aphrodite who offered him the love of the most beautiful mortal woman - Helen.

Helen was married to Menelaus, the King of Sparta at the time. And Menelaus went to war because of her, literally the beginning of the Trojan War.

One thing that I kept in mind, is that there was a Prophecy that Paris would soon bring destruction to Troy.

In some interpretations, Helen was willingly with Paris, but in my - personal - interpretation, since Aphrodite had a hand on that, her mind was blurred, so it wasn't actually willingly. This is up to debate, and you can actually do it in the comments sections.

Actually Helen even says that Aphrodite clouded her judgment (i don't remember the source for that, I will have to double check too)

Now making a clear parallel with Percy and Annabeth and The Prophecy of the Seven. (I dont like Percabeth, ok, but I will try my best to remain neutral here)

Percy was in love and in a relationship with Annabeth and both were the "leaders" of Camp Half Blood during the war, you could say that. And Percy was abducted by Hera and his mind was wiped. Helen's feelings towards her stay in Troy are complex, and they differed in each myth. And Percy too, has mixed feelings about New Rome.

Annabeth went in turmoil after him, which ended with her going right after New Rome with the greek. And Octavian was eager to start a war with the them. Just like it happend millenia ago.

One point that makes it even more ironic, is that according to the Aeneid, one of the surviving Trojans - Aeneas - was the legendary founder of Rome. So in my mind, and ik it is incorrect, was basically the beggining of the Trojan War all over again. It just had a very different ending and development.

Percy was taken against his will to another city. Directly linked with Troy, at least in history, while the greeks were looking after him.

What made Hera act was the next great prophecy and Gaia, which could lead to the end of the World.

Again; the parallel with the prophecies and the Goddess' interference.

Helen was also a very talented women, who was cunning and inteligent. We can see Percy share these similarities on how he dealt with the Council in New Rome. She might even have spoke different languages depending on the version. (If someone knows more about greek myths than I do, what is really easy, BTW, you can correct me in anything). Percy knows English, Latin, Ancient Greek. Not fluently. But I still count that.

Now. Ik my toughts are a bit messy, and I am so sorry for that. I was studying something for my test in Uni but was so boring, and your ask much more interesting. That I just had to answer in a hurry.

While writing that I realized that Jason and Piper also have some similarities with this side of the epic cycle, but, Hã... Something to think later.

Alright time to finally review the results! Correct answer is at the bottom of this post for those not interested in all of the results and explanations!

So the most highly voted option at 23% was Elijah Wood which I’m sorry to say is incorrect! Elijah Wood was a voice actor in the series. He played the role of Sigma! What this big name actor is doing in a random web series I have no idea but it’s still one of the wildest things to me.

Now the aspirin overdose comes in with 17.3% and got mentioned a lot in the notes and it is also incorrect. However I will admit to some poor wording on my part because it was actually an allergic reaction not an overdose. That’s a genuine oopsies on my part 😅

Florida sinking into the ocean gets a 10.1% and is also incorrect! The state of Florida does in fact sink into the ocean and it’s implied this was to cover up the disappearance of Agent Florida (who is also the guy who dies from the aspirin)

The gay guy, who’s name is Donut btw, becoming Jesus comes in with 8.3% and is in fact very real. He even walks on water. It was wild and tbh I barely remember it cause it’s from a season I dislike but it was too wild not to include.

With 7.2% I can say for sure that the giant killer robot is indeed dressed up in cute hats! Specifically a sombrero! Also the robots name is Freckles.

CPR for a bullet wound in the head gets 6.7% and is in fact considered effective medical care. Now I will say this later gets retconned and it turns out the guy didn’t actually get shot in the head the bullet just grazed him and his armor locked up making them all think he was dying- hence the choice of word being considered. The characters fully believe it but the CPR did not actually save him cause he wasn’t even hurt to begin with.

The crazy love triangle comes in with 4.7% and is also very canon and is exactly as it’s said. There’s literally just this insane love triangle for like two seasons- honestly the only love triangle plot I ever enjoyed.

With a solid 4% I can say that there is in fact canon mpreg! Hurray? Idk man this one’s exactly as it sounds. Dude got knocked up by an alien.

In last place with 2.5% of votes is the main character dying repeatedly. This is also incorrect. First off this guy is named Church which very funny on its own. Secondly it’s actually one of the first running jokes in the series how much this dude dies. Until it’s not a joke 🫠 also a few people pointed out RvB doesn’t have a main character and while I agree I felt it was simpler just to call Church the main character for this poll since it’s designed for people who haven’t seen RvB and I would argue that the majority of the narrative centers around Church even when he’s not there.

And now for the correct answer, coming in at third place with 16.1% is Caboose is god!

Now I will fully confess to being sneaky with this one. This is actually a joke made within the series but it is not true at all. Caboose is not actually god and the platypus is just that fucked up. I knew nothing I could come up with would be able to match the absurdity of this series so I decided to twist a few words so that way everything seemed equally fucked up.

jock - 2nd gen chinese american, one of the things i liked in the original actually was when they sexualized the jock (probably cause hes the only one who doesnt look 14 in that comic) and his big tits. hes a very genuinely kind guy, not the brightest, has a voracious appetite, he also still bakes cause thats cute i think.

prep - he looks different here because i was originally going to make him white but i decided to make him a light/medium skintone black guy (he just wears a blonde wig and contacts). when companies make their pride month merchandise and advertisements this is the exact person they imagine in their head who is going to buy these products. hes a million percent one of those swifties who thinks taylor swift is secretly a lesbian. trust fund kid btw obviously. his only redeeming quality is that hes good at makeup. jokes in the comic are usually made at his expense.

goth - 1st gen latino american, specifically peruvian because i am a self serving motherfucker. hes a really big numetal fan and listens to like 2000s evil wolf amv music in addition to legitimate gothic. his face changed a little too between this and the final design. his outfit completely changed but its only because i realized everyone else was dressed for relatively warm weather so it wouldnt make sense for him to be wearing multiple layers of black. if i do cold weather outfits for them id def reuse this look for him. hes still trans but i think all of them are in my version. also they dont use labels for their sexual/rom orientation. except prep hes homosexual gay.

where should i start with pink floyd’s discography? TDSOTM? the thing is that i’ve listened to it before, but it’s been a very long time and i can’t really recall that much from it. i’m willing to give it another go though!

i usually start with a greatest hits album (like meaty beaty for the who) and then listen chronologically from the 1st album, but i’m not sure if that’s an ideal approach for floyd since the syd era seems so different from everything else.

i want to start by saying that i believe there's no "correct" or "incorrect" way to listen to an artist's discography so above all i hope you'll enjoy listening to some new stuff and have fun! <3

the concept albums are definitely an easy way to get into them, tdsotm probably *the* easiest of them all. i started out with it too, listening to tracks in bits and chunks before switching to tracks from the wall lmao. both of them are great places to start! succinct tracks and diverse sounds. wywh and animals, i think they require you to be in a certain headspace to get instantly hooked, at least that's how it went in my case hehehe. but of course they're also terrific and if you decide to start out with them it'll be awesome! any way you want to start out with will be awesome regardless.

now i can't really say anything about the greatest hits album approach because i've never listened to a pf greatest hits compilation 😭😭😭 but again, if you decide to start out with that, go for it! if i'm not mistaken their 'best of' comp has some syd era tracks in it that flow in quite nicely with the rest!

i'm personally more easily drawn towards live performances so the live at pompeii film/album was an early viewing when i started out! the songs performed there helped me pick which albums i might be interested in. i must say though live at pompeii is definitely a product of their "experimental" phase, albeit more structured, so it may not always reflect the sound of their later works. terrific terrific stuff nonetheless!

that being said, i do think there is a very obvious linear progression happening with their discography up until roger's departure. like you said, their syd era music is very different from what they are eventually known for, and it is very noticeable in their first few albums without him. piper at the gates of dawn presented a band that's very sure and certain of their sound, but beginning with saucerful up until atom heart mother, the sydless floyd worked hard to find a sound that suited them best. the results weren't always fruitful but they were for sure interesting and honestly quite endearing. meddle and obscured presented a band that was starting to find their footing and a little after that tdsotm arrived. from that point on they kept pushing their limits and boundaries which resulted in some fairly gruesome works but also some of their best musical and lyrical output. to me the pink floyd are a band that's cursed with their success and their discography is very reflective of that. experiencing all of THAT chronologically would be such a Journey.

What, exactly, is Palestine mad about? (And again, I'm saying this from genuinely wanting to know, I have some idea but it feels incomplete and/or incorrect) Also, what would be the ideal outcome for you?

I've tried checking news and tried asking people to explain but I'm surrounded by people who are very pro-israel. (one of my closest friends is israeli and she's terrified because people she knows are being asked to join the army (but she's not old enough yet), and most of my family hears stories such as "oh yeah, they're slaughtering babies now" which is definitely horrific) so I'm trying to get a better understanding of the Palestinian side, and you seem reasonable and I often agree with your opinions, so I was hoping you could explain it to me. (I'll just infodump what I know in small text so that you can correct any misconceptions you see)

So, after ww2 people decided that jewish people needed a place to stay (fair, they've been hated even before ww2 but ww2 really brought attention to it) and so the british decided on where exactly they would be placed. Obviously this made many people unhappy because they were already living there. So there's been much conflict about it, and now there's a war because they want israel gone from the gaza strip, but somebody told me that israel had forcibly removed their people as a sign of goodwill? as you can see i don't know much off the top of my head. I agree with Ireland's decision to send aid to the Palestinian people because in the end they have it the worst, not Israel (which is not a poor country at all my god), and the only opinion I've formed from this all is: the people caught in the middle are the only true victims, because they didn't want any of this, but both armed sides have committed atrocities. (Also, if you google what hamas wants you get: "[its] purpose for existing is the destruction of the State of Israel and the murder of Jewish people. Hamas does not represent the Palestinian people" which sounds like what I hear from around me). Also while I understand that it sucks that they had to take land from the people around them, it's not as if the israeli people have anywhere to go (at least that's how it seems to me). Any thoughts? me and many others have posted a lot about it so you can go through it and read things for yourself, there is no lack of documentation of the atrocities israel commits on a daily basis, even when they aren't killing thousands of children and civilians in an attempt to ethnically cleanse one of the oldest civilizations in the world, they're pretty blatant about their apartheid and racism, its not tough find good books and articles about it

as for where the israelis are supposed to go, they can use their dual citizenship for that ,I don't really know nor can i bring myself to care. its less about where they're supposed to go and more about ending the occupation. they don't just live in israel, they kill and torture palestinians and steal their land to do so. they don't even respect the original UN borders, they've stolen almost 88% of palestinian land, when they were originally alloted about 55% (which btw is still wrong, considering that the person doing the alloting had no right to give away palestinian land) and they subjugate palestinians to a system of apartheid which is against all international laws and they are given free rein to do so. again ive said a lot already about what the fucking israelis get upto so you can read up on that

i dont know about an ideal outcome, the two state solution is logical but if the israelis didn't respect it the first time around, why would they respect it now? and why would the palestinians trust them after what's happening to them? why would anyone? and who's going to hold israel responsible for the atrocities it has committed for the past 70 years?
