I wanna share a lighthearted headcanon of mine. So, I’ve always imagined that Regulus and Sirius look almost completely identical, just a handful of minor differences and Sirius was just a bit taller, so imagine the Hogwarts students coming up to one Black and desperately hoping it’s the one they’re looking for, only to realize it’s the brother. A good way to tell is to look at their tie, but RIP anyone who sees them out of uniform or from the back. Normally the people they’re with the best indicator, but it sucks when they’re alone so nobody can tell. Sometimes, when they’re on decent, friendly terms, they even switch ties, to the dismay of everyone else. Both Sirius and Regulus have started responding to the other’s name, and they hate this fact.

Remus, approaching from the back: Hey, Sirius, McGonagall is looking for you

Regulus, without looking over: Wrong brother, no clue where Sirius is, good luck and goodbye

i do think the differences are pretty obvious once u get to know them. like u said, sirius is taller. he’s also a bit more,,,sharp-featured? like reg has some baby fat he absolutely loathes but it never rly disappears. sirius is skinnier overall tho, and he has really bony hips & other joints. they loved playing this to their advantage when they were kids—posing as each other, sirius pretending to be regulus and taking any of his punishments, annoying guests who come to their house etc. bit as they grow older and differences started arising, they tried doing whatever they could to distinguish each other. regulus had longer hair, like their father, and preferred smoothing it back to look older. sirius was more on the shorter, spikier hair end. (he was trying to replicate some muggles he’d seen & also it made him look more similar to james ykno?) but yah, sometimes even that wasn’t enough and u have instances like this.

have i ever told u i’m an absolute sucker for the ‘adopted older child gets jealous when a newer (or bio) child comes up’ trope??? esp when it’s like. dialled up for angst and harry is slowly pulling away and sirius doesn’t notice bc he’s caring for a newborn until one day he looks up and his first child isn’t there. idk it’s a fun trope i’ve read in other fandoms hehe

but for this scenario, i can’t see it happening quite like that bc i give deity status to sirius always and don’t think he’ll fully ignore harry. BUT that introduces another kind of angst regardless where, like u said, harry sort of resents teddy for getting sirius in a way he was never able to. also, this is basically still baby harry just out of a war when he probably needs support and help most, esp from sirius (even more if he came back from the veil) but now it’s all being take. away by a baby, ykno?and like. he loves teddy, he knows that, but he can’t help but feel incredibly envious about it.

and it’s like a whole thing where he pulls away from the baby a bit and zealously guards his time with sirius whenever he can and just—generally acts in a very possessive, almost childish way and it’s a while before anyone realises what’s going on. cue a very heated, but ultimately emotional, conversation; b/w harry and sirius where he spills everything and s is just, stricken with guilt because it’s his fault he wasn’t there for harry and of course he’s still affected by it and he should’ve been better, done better and harry’s like no!!! it’s my fault for being a baby!! ur perfect!! and it’s a bit of a guilt spiral for a while there until someone breaks them out of it lol

teddy is just blissfully unaware of how contentious his little existence was for a while there 💀

Oh whoops sorry for misunderstanding your tags and projecting a lot 🤣 Yeah, I love that trope too! And you're so right, Sirius gets deity status (for good reason!) and would never fully ignore Harry, even with a baby demanding a lot of his time. But that doesn't mean Harry wouldn't have complicated feelings about Teddy suddenly being in the picture! I think part of it would be jealousy (which he feels terrible about!) that he gets to witness Teddy have the childhood with Sirius that he never got to have. And, yeah, he would definitely pull back from the baby and jealousy guard the time he gets with Sirius. You're also 1000% correct about the guilt spiral that they both go through lol. I would read the hell out of this fic from literally anyone and everyone.

how i feel about this character: LOVE HIM!!! trager is my personal favorite outlast villain, both because he just has an enjoyable personality and that he really expresses outlast’s message well - potentially the worst person miles encounters in the asylum isn’t an inmate, but a full-of-himself executive that’s been given an opening to hurt people. it’s just really cool to me! also his dialogue is incredibly good ALSO i love his horrible preppy design in the comics and in general i just love trager so much...

all the people i ship romantically with this character: trager is... not an ideal partner pfff. but i am a fan of trager/jeremy - not because i find it cute or romantic (of course it isn’t, with how it ends...) but because i think them having a relationship is an interesting opportunity to explore their characters and how they’d treat partners... my portrayal of it is closest to two awful people trying to control one another. ultimately trager’s a victim, as jeremy betrays him, but overall it’s a mess and they’re both bad for eachother. i’m not even sure if this can be described as a ship tbh XD (on the lighter side of things, for anyone who does genuinely ship them and doesn’t mind a noncanon trager portrayal, i cant recommend the fic let me sell you the dream enough!)

my non-romantic otp for this character: nothing amuses me more than trager and eddie being surgery buddies. there’s just so much comedic potential with them having to put up with another. and in more lighthearted aus where they’re not, ykno, THAT, i do find him and pauline having an unlikely and incredibly odd friendship fun. she has no idea how she got stuck with this lunatic but his company is somehow enjoyable

my unpopular opinion about this character: im not sure how unpopular this is but im of course not a fan of his portrayal in the comics, as much as i love the comics. mainly him being a date r-pist and overall far dumber than we know him to be. the former just feels like a cheap way to make him more evil (i think the kind of character he is is important to have, but it doesn’t suit HIM in particular), and in general making a long established and well liked character a creep never sat well with me.   personally, i write trager as smarter than he looks but not as smart as he thinks he is, and that him drugging pauline wasn’t out of lust as much as it was keeping her from snooping around when he knew she thought he was suspicious, and wanting to... do stuff to her, was a believable cover if she realized.

one thing i wish would have happened in canon: TELL US WHAT THE BLOOD DREAMS ARE RED BARRELS!!! TELL US!!!!!!!!!!!

how i feel about this character: you KNOW as the local murkoff account stan i GOTTA love her. she’s a perfect example of murkoff’s evil without being a completely unlikable character, her lack of care for people is teeeerrrifyingly written and i like that she’s a developed and nuanced character despite it. like. jeremy done right. sorry jeremy

all the people i ship romantically with this character: her being a bad person aside there aren’t really any women around to ship with her even if i wanted to... iv seen people ship her with michelle but that just kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth. michelle does not need MORE awful murkoff employees in her life

my unpopular opinion about this character: OKAY iv gone on this tangent before but pauline is a character i REALLY wish people would approach with more nuance. i either see her despised or idealized with no inbetween, and it’s frustrating. there has to be some middle ground between “pauline is a horrible person who should die painfully” and “pauline is a cool badass whose actions don’t matter bc she’s a cool badass” because both are equally frustrating to see. my stance has always been that she’s a bad person but still deserves to be analyzed as a character like everyone else. she’s very fun to analyze too! 

(EDIT I FORGOT ABT THIS ONE) one thing i wish would have happened in canon: i wish they would’ve shown the shootout(?) between the pauls and what happened to hurt them both like we see them in the present!!! did pauline gouge her partner’s eye? why is paul under arrest for fourteen murders a kidnapping and an arson? we DON’T KNOW BUT I NEED TO KNOW!!

I have way to many ideas for this au now idk which ones are best this will just be a spiel but: •Oliver pretends that he hasn’t found anything, at first it was because he wanted to discover the rest of the royal family on his own, but slowly it turns into him wanting to protect ahk from being taken away •Ahk follows him around while he explores the tomb more,very curious about how everything works, and oliver enjoys his presence and (like joe) enjoys to babble on about everything with passion

ok so first of all, oli def doesn’t want to anyone to find out about ahk or his fam i agree. he wants to be the one who finds them and be the one who gets all the credit for one of (if not THE) biggest archaeological finds of the century. ahk himself was already a pretty big find but a whole royal family?? that could literally be brought back to life. that and he really wants to be the only here getting all the info he can outta ahk. BUT YEAH his thirst for knowledge very quickly turns to thirst for a very pretty pharaoh lol who can blame him. also yes!! ahk is very fascinated with the advancements civilization has made since he’s been dead/entombed and oli’s real happy to show them to him. and also?? ahk would be more than happy to listen to oli prattle on about anything and everything. it’s all highly entertaining. i also think he’d be really flattered to know someone studied his family as religiously as oli does, and also be real flattered to see how awestruck oli is by him. 

sdsvfsdf that kiss!! adorable!! im :”””) congrats ahk you finally figured out a way to shut that boy up (not that he doesn’t love hearing oli rant but still) and oli’s not gonna complain anytime soon. oli is def one of those “im married to my work” sorta boys so this is probably his first kiss and honestly who could be a better first kiss than ahkmenrah?? nobody that’s who. god it would be so sweet, ahk with one hand spread along oli’s jaw and one on his hip while he kisses him ughgh and oli would be so unsure of what to do with his hands before he just settles for awkwardly putting them on ahk’s shoulders. someone please save him. you kno tho that after that, kissing ahk becomes a new favourite hobby of his. he always tries to come up with some excuse for it so he doesn’t seem like a sap or whatever but ahk already Knows. but hey, he loves it so is he gonna complain? no. i also think he’d get a real kick out of how hot and bothered oli gets just from a light make out session, which brings us to The Do. ahk would be dragging oli’s clothes the entire time and you know it. “this fabric is terrible. how do you wear it?” “ahk, i think you’re just mad at the buttons.” “i am Not. i’m not. even the color is horrid. and–” and then oli shuts HIM up this time by kissing him and undoing his buttons while he does it. and oh my god ahk’s clothes?? look Big Sexy on ahk but how hard they are for oli to peel off of him? that’s not big sexy. clothes gotta be fashionable and functional and the fact that oli can’t get them off of his boy without a struggle means they are Not functional. also i agree ahk tries to be sexy about it but resident gay virgin disaster oli couldn’t be anything BUT awkward and i think that what starts the giggles would be oli getting too excited and he ends up knocking their heads together when he rushes up to kiss ahk. i think ahk probably bottoms because it’s real obvious oli’s a virgin and ahk really doesn’t wanna overwhelm him here, and honestly oli almost nuts immediately as soon as he gets it in but it’s fine, they have a great time. when they’re laying there afterwards, limbs all askew and everything, ahk jus breaks the silence with, “your clothes really are ghastly.” and it just sends oli into a fit of laughter. 

anon i love how you send all this cute shit and then finish it with some angst potential. feels good, feels organic. i love it. anyway but it definitely would be something that would weigh heavy on oli because as much as he loves ahk, he realistically can’t just leave his home and family to live in a foreign country with his prince, no matter how much he wants to. can he? and i think ahk would be bothered to know oli was considering leaving his family just to stay with him bc ahk strikes me as the sort who cares very much about family. and from what he’s told him, oli’s got a great family so he can’t understand why he’d want to leave. and i think he also wouldn’t be happy to leave his own parents, even if it meant every night waking up alone. it’s def probably something that causes some fighting between them. and ykno i don’t think they’d be able to make a decision bc what if the team in the movie comes (ykno, the ones who find ahk’s tomb and tablet in the movie) and ahk ends up being taken to cambridge like he does in the movie. oli would be devastated (esp if the last convo they have before that happens is an argument abt oli staying or leaving) about it and do anything he can to try and follow along but cmon, he can’t move to england and spend his nights breaking into a university to see ahk. i think he’d try, but it just wouldn’t happen. imagine how distraught ahk would be the first night he wakes up during transport and he’s stuck in his sarcophagus and oli isn’t dozing beside him. he’d probably think oli left him and went back home :”””)))
