man. im reading trimax and ive watched the 98 series and tristamp, and i gotta say two of the biggest themes I've come across in trigun are grief and hope. i gotta rewatch the 98 series to fully absorb it and and tristamp has Consumed Me, and its slow going on trimax, but those are the two big ones.
grief and hope and the intersection of the two

my favorite wolfstar fics bc i need to scream ab these w/ someone
Uhh if y’all want me to do this for any other ships (literally any other ship, I’m in a lot of fandoms and I’m a multishipper so just ask)
Very short list bc I have read many but didn’t track them so these are just the ones I can still find
The Dating Disasters of Sirius Black by kabeyk: This one is not on ao3 but it is so good (from what I remember). Literally a staple. Set in canon during Marauders era, no AU. Hilarious I think about it everyday. The link may or may not actually lead to the fic (was originally on fictionalley when I read it but the link is to live journal so lmk)
Text Talk by merlywhirls on ao3: This is set in an alternate universe and it’s a texting fic but it’s so good. I’ve read this one multiple times. I think this is a staple for wolfstar shippers,,, so you’ve probably already read this one
Subtlety, Thy Name is Sirius Black by rekahneko on fanfiction.net: Okay, this one could use a bit of editing but it is still a good fic and you get used to the writing style. Just read it please I’m begging you the pay off is amazing. 10/10
Double Trouble by FullMoonDreams on fanction.net: No, this is the fic that I think about every waking moment and I have been thinking about it every waking moment since I read it a FUCKING YEAR AGO. Surely the author of this fic never intended this, but it is now canon to me. This fic is more canon than the actual books or anything we’ve learned about the marauders even though it is so unlikely, but just read it (fun fact: I originally read this on live journal).
A Little More Trouble by FullMoonDreams on fanfiction.net: Yeah, it’s a series which is why I think about it so often. Also, this will make you love Peter Pettigrew screw canon. Don’t feel guilty about it, just read the series. This one is short but introduces my favorite oc of all time. Charlene is a gem.
Triple Trouble by FullMoonDreams on fanfiction.net: I think this might be my favorite one idk it’s just flawless. Quote that I have memorized from this fic bc this scene lives in my brain rent free: “Damn, that boy can kiss” (spoken by Sirius Black). This is literally perfect.
Trouble with a Capital T by FullMoonDreams on fanfiction.net: Not even kidding, once I finished this fic, I was floating on AIR. This one is phenomenal and the characterization is UNMATCHED. I love Lily in this fic, truly, she is the best. The amount of thought that the author put into this whole au is so apparent in the writing; everything is very thought out and there is a lot of detail given to the plot. It ends on such a hopeful note that I would understand if you wanted to end with this one and not read the next one. In fact, I thought it was the last one bc I could not find another one on live journal but I found it on ffn and just... are you ready for it...?
Too Much Trouble by FullMoonDreams on fanfiction.net: I swear I’m not FullMoonDreams this series is just amazing. I think about the last two more than I think about this one but this was a great conclusion to the series, including so much angst but fluff but EVERYTHING. It is so good and I love the timeskip between the last installment to this one. Just read it. Centered more on Remus and Sirius than the others were, even though the others were definitely centered around them. But this one has basically wolfstar as the only characters plus Dumbledore.
Anyway, that’s it for now um I swear I’m not FullMoonDreams I just love that series and want everyone else to love it and the dedication the author took to the titles all having trouble in them.
