this is yours and lukes second time at the lake house together but first as a real couple. while it's true you were dating last time, it was all secretive. 

todays activity was golfing and the fact that you've only ever played mini putt did not escape your mind.

“okay you’re up y/n!” jack shouted, shielding his eyes from the sun with his forearm. you had hoped that your boyfriend, brother, and his friends would all conveniently forget that you were with them but there was no chance they were letting you get out of golfing. 

“i really don't think that-” you started but were cut off by your brother, trevor zegras, handing you a golf club. “trevor, please don't make me play!” you tried pleading to your brother who rolled his eyes at you in response. he nudged you towards the tee, and you stumbled towards it. you turned around again to try and plead to luke but he shook his head and walked over to you.

“here, you wanna stand like this,” luke said, adjusting your posture and stance so that you were properly aligned to play. “okay, so now you're going to hold the club like this,” he adjusted your hands on your club and you felt the heat rise in your cheeks as you tried not to smile at lukes demonstrations. 

luke then stood behind you, and like all cute cliches, he held onto your hands as he helped guide your swing. 

“this is disgusting” your brother scoffed as he turned away from the scene in front of him.

“what? they’re so cute!” jack practically cooed as he watched his younger brother and his best friends sister. 

“I’m going to be sick!” trevor pretended to gag and you rolled your eyes as you let luke guide you through one more practice swing.

“look at y/n! she’s blushing like a lovesick fool! this could make a grown man cry!” jack teased, and all the other guys laughed at trevors reaction. he looked disgusted with his face all scrunched up. 

luke finally stepped away from you and you swung on your own. you hit the golf ball and sent it flying towards its desired destination. you had no clue if you were actually close to the target but by the boys' impressed reactions you were sure you’d done something right.

“baby that was so good!” luke smiled at you and you giggled into his shoulder as he pulled you into a quick side hug.

“please don’t call her baby” trevor groaned, and you laughed at his discomfort.

things i did NOT like about shadow and bone (netflix):

the darkling looks Old. he's supposed to look the same age as all the other main protagonists. this highlights alina's future of staying the same & young where everyone around her dies. it also blurs the line between good and evil more bc 'oh he's the older bad guy' is just such an easy solve. also while ben barnes is a snack imo the darkling was supposed to have a more alluring, youthful magnetism.

making genya's scars barely a few scratches. she's supposed to objectively have lost her former self perfected beauty!!! this is a thing!!! she doesn't just have some deep scars, she's supposed to look hideous at first sight, where is show adaptation teams' courage to show characters that are supposed to be mutilated as just that???? i promise audiences can survive on literally everyone else on the cast being very stereotypically pretty/handsome 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I was disarmed by the way he doesn't think she'll believe that - but she immediately does (how few people have believed that about her, how few people have taken him seriously)

For once the Su Rongqing and Li Rong scene actually worked for me. I did feel that moment where she bluntly references that this battle is heading in 1 direction: one of them will fall. We can see the blow hit both them. SRQ has been stubbornly in denial that this fight is against her faction but he's not taking her down - not truly. Not this time. But she just ripped all pretense away.

(this is where the story gets me to care about their dynamic. not as a love triangle, which it never really has been. but as 2 broken things that used to huddle in the dark to keep warm, now with a new chance in the light... and this is what they're going to do with it? fight to the death? it's sad.)

My darling Pei Wenxuan has not actually lost in brains from jealousy. Good for him.

(In the novel during this time he's secretly plotting shit about the exams and hiding it from LR, because of the whole 'we used to be the leaders of 2 competing factions in the last life' thing that LR was originally concerned about but then the glow of love made her stop being concerned about it, but guess!! what!!)

Y'all i just cracked the davinci code and idk if you're gonna like it.

As a Buddie fan devastated obviously, as a 9-1-1 fan devastated obviously and as a writer absolutely blown away by the finessing they just graced us with.

They literally found a way to make Eddie straight and by God they've done it successfully.

Lemme explain.

I was locked in when he was having the speech with Shannon and didn't get to deep in the emotions (heinous ik but I wanted to hear what he was feeling).

I did get some water wobbles in my chest but that's neither here nor there. I did scream horrifically at the cliffhanger of the show.

Guess the nun did scare the life out of her (and me!) after all! Heeh should've seen that coming honestly but I didn't think they'd go there.

So there's two things I think is gonna happen, one Eddie's gonna go on more straight woman dates (yay 😮‍💨) and Chris is leaving.

Now the second one I'll address first and don't bash me if it's not trueee.

I'll get the Chris one over with. First Gavin, Chris' actor, family moved. Since he's become a main he's had little to no screentime in the show.

What I think has happened in real life it's that Gavin will step away from the show. They have him main to show his importance in the cast and storyline (i can also guess pay raise but I'm not saying that's unreasonable really) before his send off.

Realistically he's a disabled person, a child/minor at that, who i assume has a lot of equipment and things he has to travel with. I can imagine it's not that easy to consistently travel across states with equipment, doctor's appointments, schoolwork etc.

So this is probably his last season for a while.

The birthday party (which can also double as a send off or until next time message) and the promotion/upgrade in role despite not being written as such or having storyline outside of the adults.

(off topic but I'd love a mini 118 hijinks b story with all the kids or a low stakes disaster where they all team up until the 118 get there)

He's been hypocritical to him about cheating and even tarnished his mom's legacy by bringing a fake version of her in his house.

The reason i can say the story can effectively write him off for the first half of next season is that Chris will go with his other family because he feels betrayed by his dad.

He doesn't feel safe anymore (😞😭 I'm making myself sad) so he opts to leave until his dad gets better.

The hospital scene is Eddie realizing what his kid needs isn't a new mom but to trust in his parents and that's now shattered (ooh this starting to feel personal be gone trauma!).

So he'll throw a tantrum (a rightfully deserved one that's my boy😤) and say in anger he doesn't want to be with his dad.

Buck will obviously be there cause yeah Eddie (delusional hubby) clearly needs help in his hour of need and so does Chris.

Eddie will do self isolation. Buck will be there for him (Tommy probably staying too but I'm neutral for this post) but with everything Eddie going through he's gonna be wrecked.

And because Eddie's a (good? Eh so so right now) dad he'll let Chris decide when he wants to return.

Hence the heartbreak.

Boom it solves the Gavin problem where he can probably stay during the summer so maybe mid season 8 or limited role like how they did this season and his family can focus on him/life.

Now the Straight Eddie!

Since buddie isn't on the table this season the platonic hasn't been more platonic-er since season 7 episode 1.

They've also shown us that yes, Buddie was NOT platonic because I've never felt more friends energy in my life this season.

Okay, here it is my recap of 1x02.

So it starts with Morpheus (that's what I'm calling him...he says to the Fates, 'I am Morpheus...Dream of the Endless...' etc so I'm going to call him that.) returning to the Dreaming and finding everything falling to pieces and in disarray. Lucienne is with him and explains that it began to fall apart with his disappearance. I felt a little bit for Morpheus at that part when after he asks Lucienne what happened to the residents, they (anyone know what pronouns to use for Lucienne?) tell him that some of them fled, thinking that Morpheus had tired of them..

I really, really admire Tom Sturridge's acting because it's impressive how despite not showing so much physical reaction to something emotional, he can still convey that emotion. And in this moment, he's a little surprised, taken aback, stung maybe that his people have such little faith in him, that they think he would abandon them. After all that he's done for them (at least from what I see when we first see the Dreaming in all its glory...like imagine, Morpheus built that for them, the Dreaming is where they go when they sleep, and the dreams [and nightmares] are what he creates, for them).

But he's not back to his full strength just yet. He discovers that without his tools (the ruby, the helm and the sand that was taken from him upon his capture) he's weak and he doesn't have the power to restore his kingdom to what it once was. So he goes in search of the one thing remaining that he created, which might be able to return to him enough power to summon the Fates and ask after his missing tools. He finds that in the Gargoyle in the care of Cain and Able.

It was sad, of course, when Gregory the Gargoyle agreed to sacrifice himself so Morpheus could recover enough power to call the Three-Who-Are-One. But also to note the regret Morpheus felt over that. You could see the pain in his eyes when he started to reabsorb his power, like he didn't really want that, but it was necessary.

Also, Lucienne is my hero. I love them very much.

Tom Sturridge did a fantastic job of showing Morpheus' regret at what he had to do. The Corinthian (an escaped Nightmare and supposedly a villain here in the series) swears that Morpheus doesn’t care about anyone but himself, yet (and I was happy to see this and at this moment started to consider hmm I might possibly like Morpheus) he cares enough to gift Cain and Abel with a new pet: a baby gargoyle named Goldie. A self-less act. I mean, yes Morpheus went to get the snake to offer it to the Fates, but the egg he retrieved was that gift he gave to the brothers.

Then we see the Corinthian trying to enlist Ethel's help in finding and getting a hold of the sigils, Morpheus' tools, no?

Morpheus addresses the Fates (and I enjoyed that interaction, to be honest...his little incline of the head, that 'Thank you, ladies' ...I loved it) The Fates tell Morpheus where he can find his sigils, but in a very cryptic way. Poor man, I mean Endless.. It's like, he asks a question, and one says, "[The ruby] was passed from a mother to a son."

The Fate: *rattles off some cryptic answer* Morpheus: 😤😐😑

And I LOVED how he seemed to forget the one question, one answer. He'd ask one question, get yelled at by the Fates, and then answer with (basically) "Oh shit, right, sorry about that!" 🤣 Excuse me, Dream of the Endless, get your act together, love.

The sand was sold in London. And we're introduced to Johanna Constantine. The helm was traded to a demon (???) for the Amulet of Protection. Ethel ends up using this to get rid of Corinthian for the time being. The ruby, well, we don't know much more than that it was passed from a mother to a son. And that it's somehow related to Johnny (David Thewlis) who's in a hospital/prison according to him.

I'm absolutely fascinated by this series and excited for the next episode!

Also, just the visuals of all this is really amazing. There's a scene, I forgot to mention, when Morpheus parts the waters to travel to the Waking (I suppose that's where he's going to pursue his missing sigils). From Sturridge's subtle hand movements to the way the water flows, it's so impressive. I really enjoy it.

F/Os in My Dreams!

If a single dream getting me to obsess and eventually f/o E.dgeworth over the course of 3 months wasn't enough, my dreams continue to expose me to my crushes! (including those whose ships I broke up already - I think my dreams still ship me with them lol) If you all don't mind, I'm going to mention those scenes here cuz they're really occupying my mind, and I need to talk about ships more lol. I'll tag it so you can block the tag, cuz this might be something I do more often in the future, if this keeps up.

💙 Last week, I had a couple dreams where Sigma was in them. When I was just me, it felt very weird in the moment to be with him, but when I was in the role of Synthia, it felt normal. That's not something I ever experienced, or needed to experience, with Medic, so I'm starting to wonder if Synthia is more of an oc than a self insert... 🤔

💙1/3 of last night's f/os. Fatgum was going off to fight somewhere, where I couldn't follow - or even see ahead to. The worry didn't last long cuz he came back ok. I ran to him, and when we met, he scooped me up and carried me and spun me around! He's just so cute and sweet! I love how openly affectionate we are together.

💙 2/3. Simultaneously, I spawned a new self insert to be with Pre.sent Mic again, despite once again moving him to the platonic group. It was an older idea I was considering when I was shipping with both of them, and this isn't the first time my dreams have tried to influence me to stay with him. He was pretty sad. His hair was all down, unstyled, and he looked so tired, and he was starting to doubt himself. It was so so unlike him, it was worrying; and yet, I knew this had to get out. He holds it in for so long... So I sit by his side and hug him, saying how I wished he could see himself how I saw him. (I'm sure if I wrote that discussion myself, I'd say he's still worth while if he can't save everyone, or be there to support everyone all the time. He puts his all into everyone else and never has time for himself..)

When I think he's starting to feel better, I give him a little peck on the lips, and we go to see some other heroes returning from a mission - including Taishiro and my previous dream identity. It was like looking in a mirror!

💙 3/3. Things just get sadder with Dai Zong. After getting dressed up all fancy and hoping to participate in what looked like a wedding ceremony with my boyfriend, I catch Highroller and his goons (the main antagonists, for those who don't know Hero 108) sneaking into the building we were staying at it didn't look like our base, in retrospect). He mistakenly assumes I want to marry him, which he doesn't like, and I correct him by saying I want to marry Dai Zong. He then criticizes my taste, surprised someone would like such a boring, uptight guy. The nerve. 😤

After they got chased off, I got to talk to Dai Zong. Not only was I mistaken about the gathering's purpose, but when I asked him about marriage, he said it's not likely to happen as long as the war goes on. That somehow, the enemy could take advantage of the situation or even attack the ceremony. He did say he wants to marry me, but he's not sure when it's gonna happen. I wake up before there's a resolution.

💙 Something less sad from the other night, but I still wish it hadn't happened: I kissed the wrong A.ce Attorney guy. I mean, I kissed him. And now he's stuck on my mind like a bad earworm. I'm hoping to be rid of these conflicting feelings soon so I can go back to Miles and the ship I've committed 3 months to, but I worry that it's an 'engineer to medic' situation. I shipped with Engie initially for about 3 months; then I dream about crushing on Medic and 3 days later I'm in love with him. And I don't wanna ship with both cuz that just gets hairy for me. >_< I guess I'll just...see what happens. Just wanted to get that one off my chest.

So Yidiao nation how we doin cuz I'm in fucking pieces. First off Yi doing the fucking moves looks so dorky it was so cute and funny...but like the conversation was so...idk weird? Legit I flinched with Diao the first time and did not appreciate the other ones..but I suppose their done for effect. I'm glad they were able to sorta figure it out through communication and I think great steps in the right direction for their relationship - that preview seems were gonna get sulky sad Yi talking about the past , we love ✨angst✨ can't wait to see how Lian support his friend.

Speaking of Lian...lots of mixed feelings for this episode from a persona standpoint. The secret room is the music room as may guessed and as Kuea sees more of the house I feel like he's just lying to myself about it all like - MY GUY this is clearly all FOR U its not a "coincidence" ffs😫😩...but I understand in Kuea's mind this all some anterior motive plan from Lian's part. I don't agree with his approach of seemingly trying to force Kuea into this whole situation but I understand the intentions at least.

The. Bed. Scene -😫 not for any sensual or sexual reasons had me screaming bc I was hoping it was gonna be like the car scene were like they have a heart felt epiphany moment...but alas

I did like Lian's sorta rebbutles as if challenging Kuea in a "I can handle anything if its you" kinda sense not sure if it translates well-

Him getting flustered over shirtless Kuea was cute and funny but it is a bit creepy he was looking at the camera in the first place - but I get thats not the intended purpose

OBLIGATORY JAY SIMPING - this man is so fine fucking dammit like I'm so close to being straight wenever this man is on screen and his portrayal of confident cocky Jay just *punches a wall* 😫😫😫

Aside from his getting a whole as scene and more english lines (hell yeah why is he so attractive) I'm still a bit of a lost with what his relationship with Lian is ? To be specific I understand it seems Lian wants to buy/own/sponsor every bar with a radius of Pentagon to like be top of the market or Smth? And Jay is like yeah man let's be partners but I run this place ? I wonder how long they've sorta had this buissness relationship🤨

Also the part where they both call Kuea was so funny, king thinks he's slick (he ain't) and I really liked what Jay told Kuea and Lian in those scenes - a bit of cliche "just be your self" and "its his passion" speech but something these chapters definitely needed to hear - in king Jay we trust😤

(Side note - Kuea bbf award bc he literally ran out of the house and non stop calked him when he texted him SOS, get u a friend like Kuea y'all)

Moving on, Lian cooking for him tho 😭but I'm kinda betting on him having bought it lmao neither of them being able to cooks sounds funny to me...I'm still a bit confused why, out of allt things, he lies about his university major?? Idk I get computer engineering may be seen as more prestigious or what ever but there's like 6 people in his entire major (including Kura l himself) which usually means its hard? Is that not something to be proud of like??🤨🧐

Speaking of his major, we end the episode with a cute moment in the car, second cheek kiss of the episode and a flustered Kuea getting prayers and blessed water from your local monk boy Syn which turns into his friends joining in - very funny very cute his squad is goals

And then FOR SOME RESON This Bitch™ (Nuea) steps in and scolds them??? Like my dude??? Their not like assaulting or anything? What are u playing hero at? (He is so fine tho its so frustrating cuz its like your so sexy but I hate everything your doing) idk that whole bit was JUST WEIRD 💀and I'm still sus of whatever his intentions are with Kuea (idk they don't seem all that innocent imo) - it seems the squad will get involved as he continues to flirt with Kuea

And while I love the main paring it would be funny as fuck if Nuea and Lian met ansvsjabs chaos 😬

Another side note: I fuckiNG LOST MY MIND when Vampire Lian appeared I swear that was so stupidly funny the stupid red lips and stupid ass cloak THEY EVEN GAVE HIM FANGS im-😭😂😂😂 (Kuea was kinda into it tho👀👀👀)
