to make up for his wounds, you volunteered to patch him up. and xiao let you. he didn't know why, and how, but the only thing he knew is that maybe you're not so terrible, and maybe he can trust you.

and so he did. xiao joined you on your daily routines. read books, eat lunch and dinner with you, clean every room of his huge castle, went on walks with you on his garden full of white flowers you've grown to adore so much. it is a sudden change, but it was welcome and you loved this side of him more than the grumpy one. and xiao, out of the blue, and even he himself didn't know where he got the courage, asked you on a royal dance. just me and you, no one else.

the lanterns are pretty, but childe thinks you're prettier. even more than that stolen crown. gold and bright hair, glowing brighter with the lanterns and fireworks in your background. the thief has seen and stolen lots of beautiful and shiny things, but none of them could match to the beauty in front of him. a little bit closer, and he'll finally be able to taste those sweet lips. oh, they're here. so he said goodbye to you, and that he wont take too long.

but every good things come to an end, right? your mother finally caught up to you and told you to go home with her, because childe is not worthy anyways, and he finally left with his satchel that is more precious than you.

so I'm currently in a party where any of us could end the world at any given moment because we made silly character decisions.

my character (any prns) is a bladelock who may well plunge the world into an eternal winter. our wizard (he/they) transferred their consciousness into a corpse and then brought it to life with nature. we have a rather evil elf summoner (it/its) who is going to max out every mental stat and then sequester itself into a ring that will allow it limited control over a host, effectively becoming immortal. we have a plague-bearing barbarian (she/her) who is the only person immune to the disease (which I believe is transfered like venom which is a problem because she's path of the beast). and we have a aasimar intlock (he/him) who wants to study the stars and is secretly drawing power from the dormant corpse of an angel. we also had a spores druid who left the party to go fuck the world up with spores lmfao.

I plan for my character to leave the party after acquiring the rimespear, a magical artifact which should allow them to bring about the brumal apocalypse (intentionally or not). once this happens I intend to introduce a new character who is part of an organisation which is tasked with preventing the apocalypse. this character will have been specifically assigned to infiltrate the party and ensure that none of them can cause too much harm to this already fragile world. I think I want to have a way to lock down the entire party on hand at all times which essentially forces me into wizard or maybe arcana cleric/bard (I need blight for the other wiz, banishment for the aasimar, disintegrate for the summoner, and hold person for the barb whose lowest stat is wis) and I'm trying to figure out which subclass would work best. currently leaning most towards abjuration to keep myself alive as long as possible so that I can ensure maximum destruction or war so that I can go first and try to deal with them before they get a chance to deal with me. I'd like to clarify that this is mostly just a thought experiment and ideally I'll never have to use any of these countermeasures, I just want to create a paranoid character who has to stick with the party due to a sense of duty while being extremely mistrustful. I want them to be so righteous and sure that they're never in the wrong that they justify all of the terrible things they do in the name of preventing the apocalypse in spite of them likely being worse than any of the other party members.

essentially I'm asking for your advice on class/subclass choice and what you think is best since I respect your opinions on this sort of thing [: (especially when it comes to wizards)

I'm going to keep it real here: I can't offer advice. This is like...I would not have lasted 10 minutes at this table. If you're all having fun then I support you in your endeavors, but this is so profoundly unrelatable to me and I would be so incredibly miserable for every second of it that I have no strategies. There's also enough homebrew happening that I don't know if I could provide thoughtful insights about how to best counter or survive the rest of the party from a purely mechanic standpoint were I to get past the above reservations.

I also don't want to make any assumptions here but if you have not all agreed that this campaign is just "we are all trying to destroy the world and the DM is cool with it (uh. if you have a DM. it is not clear if you do) and if we kill each other in PvP, that's also cool"...please do have that conversation. If you have had that conversation already and you're all on board then carry on.
