i think they would dislike each other. i do not think constantine is scott's type of person. constantine would find scott ridiculous, and perhaps irritating/entertaining in that way. thank you for asking.

#sorry i don't have a funny answer for you i just don't think theyd get on. maybe there's like. an opportunity for them to get along #and understand each other but they fuck it up #probably constantine kills it and scott buries it #like part of the overlap in my sense of them comes from...#i think of scott as a character who deals in the realm of acceptable sacrifice.#the sacrifice of himself and --as team leader--the sacrifice of others.#what can you ask from the people who follow you #what can you yourself do that is most useful #constantine also operates within that space!#but in a VERY different way #he is a lot more self-interested #but he is also a lot less concerned with the asking yknow #like in hellblazer constantine is not asking a group of superheroes to go through mortal danger with him #he is asking his very fragile friends and companions to risk themselves in ways we #the readers #know they won't survive #theyre different stories but also scott and constantine put the onus on different people yknow #and when i say constantine is asking--#there may not be a question in there! his companions may not know the true risks #or the true stakes #like theres an element of knowledge that scott is usually able to give his teammates bc they are relatively on the same page #w.ask #anon
