hey guys btw haymitch sent katniss and finnick bread from district 4 when they were grieving mags in catching fire just like mags sent haymitch and maysilee ham hock soup from district 12 when they were grieving.

At the end of Sunrise on the Reaping, Beetee's wife is pregnant -> if the child survived, they would have been 23 at the time of Katniss' games, and 24 at the time of the third Quarter Quell -> the child would only be eight years older than Katniss herself -> if Beetee's kid was reaped, Katniss would plausibly have been old enough to remember it -> in the trilogy, there is no mention of Beetee having any children, but Katniss does mention that the children of Victors tend to end up in the arena, so she likely witnessed this in at least one Hunger Games -> that kid definitely died in the Hunger Games as further punishment for Beetee

forever thinking about cecelia from district 8. a woman who was able to move through life after being a victor. having kids. going forward after it all. with all the weight of what happened dragging behind her with every step. doing what so many victors could never do. having to turn back around into the face of what she was forever trying to leave behind. being pushed back into the face of it all. knowing she had so much to lose. knowing what is to come. having her children be pried away from her. thinking she’d never see the future she was still building for herself. forced back to what she wished could be expelled from her and existence. going into it and choosing to do what she can to ensure a better future. joining the rebellion and alliance. promising to do her best to ensure katniss’s survival. agreeing to put her life less than secondary for the chance of a new world. doing the right thing at the risk of herself. having to know what she needed to do and not given a chance to see how (or if in her case) it succeeded. not being properly acknowledged for what she set forth to do. being killed at the hands of someone who knew and felt such a similar pain to the one she had trusted upon her at such a young age. her children who had to watch her be one of the first casualties at the cornucopia. cecelia who’s name is barely mentioned. who’s history is unknown. who’s grief and fight is not a note in the story. something we can only speculate of. cecelia from district 8 and sacrificed herself in silence.

Do you guys think Haymitch would’ve felt hurt that Effie sighed with relief when she called his name instead of Peeta’s for the Quarter Quell? I mean on one hand, he’s known this lady since he was 16 and she stayed in D12 for him. But on the other hand, they both would’ve agreed that Peeta and Katniss should be the ones to live because they’re so young. Haymitch is just such an interesting character and Sotr really helped to explore that deeper

Plutarch spent 25+ years running behind Snow and making him think they are alike and on a same level when it comes to the games and the whole entire system just so he could trust that Snow would follow every little part of the plan he had in mind for him. incredible.

i think one of the things i find most interesting about thg is just how political everything is… everything president snow says or does is strict business in order to maintain power, no matter how juxtaposing in nature his options are. Hes like hmm should everlark get married or be killed today
