However, the Qur'an does not explicitly support this notion, which highlights that this is not a religious issue but a societal one rooted in patriarchal attitudes. Many men who desire a virgin partner are not virgins themselves, reflecting a double standard that is both unfair and hypocritical. The underlying rationale for this preference is often problematic, as it perpetuates inequality and unrealistic expectations. It would be far more reasonable for individuals to seek partners who share similar values and experiences, fostering relationships built on equality and mutual understanding.
