A buying tails PSA by franniesflowers on youtube !!!
Putting my buying tails PSA into written form too‼️
(Please share to help spread this information!)
There is a growing problem in the alterhuman community with many people, but especially younger kids, buying tails from cruel fur farms.
Amazon, SHEIN, AliExpress, and Temu are the three biggest sites that people purchase tails from. Every tail sold on these websites is sourced from cruel fur farms where foxes and other animals are subjected to horrific ab*se.
The tails sold on these websites may say “fake” or “faux fur”. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!! Policies in China (where all of these shops are based) allow sellers to label real and unethical tails as faux fur or ethically sourced. The only tails safe to buy from these sites are POLYESTER STUFFED FURSUIT TAILS that look nothing like the tails you see many therians wearing.
The safest way to buy a tail that looks like the kind of tails you see many therians wearing is Etsy. There are three main options that I recommend.
1. Yarn tails, you can buy them from Etsy or watch a tutorial to make your own with yarn. They’re fluffy and they’ve got a nice weight that makes them feel real.
2. Faux fur or Mohair tails are also available on Etsy, you can commission them from sellers like TalesofMischief. Mohair tails look almost exactly like real ones, and Mohair is made from the hair of the Angora goat. It is not cruel because it’s just sheared from the goats.
3. Real tails, you can find many ethical ones on Etsy, but DO YOUR RESEARCH!! To find sellers and check if they’re ethical or not, you can search “fox tail taxidermy” on Etsy and click on the description of the individual sellers. Look for “wild foxes” and “foraged taxidermy”. Avoid any shops that say “farm raised”. The seller should find the foxes already d3@d, without k*lling them for the tail.
Here’s my top ethical taxidermists on Etsy!
•EvasFeathers
•RabidLlamaCreations
•SterlingFoxTaxidermy
*if you have already purchased a tail from Amazon, Shein, AliExpress, or Temu, it’s ok because you didn’t know and there’s a lot of misinformation. Please donate to a foundation like saveafox.org and treat your tail with a lot of respect and mindfulness for how it came into your hands. It’s also good to watch a documentary about these cruel fur farms, but they are triggering and not for younger kids because of the graphic ab*se they show*
Thank you for reading this! Again, please share if you can <3
Very sorry if you didn’t want to be tagged, just trying to spread awareness

Hey - not sure if you're aware but someone is trying to sell a binding of your fic on Etsy for profit - won't let me add the link in the questions but the user is called NovaBindery
Hi, thanks for letting me know, I’m aware there are several sellers on etsy and on instagram, tiktok, their own janky sites, etc. It’s a truly pervasive problem in our community right now.
And I’m tired of it. I’ve been urging people to keep fandom free for a while now, but it honestly feels like screaming at the sea. In the past few days alone, several dramione authors have pulled their works from ao3 and at least one has left the community altogether.
I’m not going anywhere, nor are my fics, but this abhorrent behavior is extremely disheartening. I started participating in fandom and sharing my writing because it was a fun hobby. So while I won’t be pulling my works, I can say that those who are out here commodifying my stories have made me simply want to participate less. It’s no longer fun if my extremely limited free time is spent reporting shops or fielding questions about commissions. I have lots of stories I’d love to still share, but it’s taking too much of my energy to deal with all this and then I find I no longer feel as inspired to write and share fics. When my stress relieving activity starts to become the source of stress, it’s time to pull back.
If you are a reader and you do come across these shops, please report them. Unfortunately, I have no other recourse that wouldn’t involve me revealing personal/private information and again, the entire reason I participate in fandom is to have a fun, silly time writing about two idiots kissing and to read others’ stories about the same two idiots kissing.
I sincerely appreciate all the lovely people who are trying to keep this space as free of monetization as possible. Thank you ❤

heres a look into Kubo's suit by Stingraysuits ! 💙
for anyone considering commissioning stingray for a suit!
and because im mentally ill and i wanna talk about my fursuit
so first of all kubo is actually not complete yet! he still has feetpaws, arm sleeves, eyelids and a spiked collar coming soon! this mini partial was the most Spice could give me before Furrydelphia, and im so greatful that he could do all of this in the time he had!
Tumblr media
this was the original sketch i gave to Spice for kubo! we struggled a bit with finding fur colors that matched his ref, particularly the second brown tone. we ended up choosing fur colors that were maybe not exactly like like the ref but still cohesive! and honestly, irl he looks more pink, but in pictures the colors are practically spot on to the ref!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Kubo's knit beanie was not by Stingray btw, it was by this etsy seller)
Kubo is a "kemono" style suit, characterized by the plastic domes over his eyes! the eyes themselves are thick white plastic and painted mesh so i can see through them! the plastic doesnt hinder the vision of the suit but it does prevent air circulation through the eyes which can make the head especially hot, so its important to consider this when getting a kemono suit from anyone!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His paws are 5 fingered per my request which makes them way more accessible and easy to wear for me! theyre also lined with this adorable heart arrow pattern :*) Spice knows im a big lovecore fan so he included a lot of heart details with this suit, its so sweet ❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
his tail is hugeee and very well made! its actually filled with foam peanuts instead of stuffing which allows for easy cleaning of the fur!
Tumblr media
this was the goodie bag of extras he came with! pictured are a bandana with a magnetic clasp (that might be made by Spice i think?) a magnetic bowtie, heart kandi cuff, and two love core stingray plushies/keychain!
ill see if i can post more pics in a reblog since i hit my limit rn but this is practically everything to Kubo!! if anyone has any questions about his suit please lmk !! and i can't recommend commissioning Spice enough! 💙

hello! hope you're doing well, i was wondering if you had any recommendations from where/how/etc to buy Faux Fur tails? such as a fox or coyote tail out of faux fur. i've tried looking but it's not going too well. any tips appreciated!
i recommend yarn, cosplay, or fursuit tail commissions on Etsy! i got my tail from this seller & i am very happy with it. of course realism is limited by price & the abilities of the maker/materials but for my personal needs it has been satisfactory :]
my tail is made from yarn and is ~17in long!

hello, i'm kind of new to this... is buying from small handmade shops on etsy considered better than just buying from a big corp? i like to support small businesses but it is at an environmental cost with shipping. and i know most people really prefer if you DIY. i just don't have a lot of time at the moment to create my own shirts and such
id say just be careful to see if its a real person making it since there are a lot of dropshipping fronts on etsy that trick people into thinking their handmade but arent. <- watched a video on the dangers of dropshipping this week
Ive personally never bough patches online because I have a fear of online shopping. I always like to see what I can find in person in my community but I understand not having one diverse enough to have punk patches, i grew up in singapore, best i could find was some cartoon iron on stuff. But when i do buy patches now its usually from threeracoons this punk guy in my scene who sells at shows and craft shows a lot. I also get my patches from doing patch trades with people at shows.
I'd say look into the local craft and artist community to see if there are any patch sellers first. And if you have any punk friends who have more diy skills and time than u, commissioning your friends to make you a patch is good too.
If people wanna recommend any online patch sellers they know are reputable and people thatd prolly helpful for them!

*disclosure: I did get permission from Sillycranes to post a ss of their tiktok and the curated messge for reports on etsy.
Okay, so for those of you unaware, people have been selling commissioned bindings of fanfic, binded copies of fanfic and pdfs of fanfic on all various platforms (etsy, mercari, Amazon, Google books, eBay, tiktok, insta). This is illegal and downright disgusting especially when authors have specifically stated they do not give permission. People are changing $140 us dollars and up for fics that us writers published for free. We use our personal free time. Dedicate endless hours of writing and research to create fics for free. Without profit in mind because we love our fandoms and our ships we want more stories with the characters we love.
These individuals are putting all of this at risk, over the past couple years fanfic has grown in popularity. Which should be a good thing it's unfortunately not because people just dive into without any thought and think it's okay to use however because its on the internet. That's simply not true. Per the Copyright Act it is illegal to sell fanfic.
You can bind it, with permission for your own personal collection, you can also gift binds but you cannot sell it. There are so many talented book binders on both tiktok and Instagram who will teach you.
At the present moment, the only fics/fandoms I'm seeing selling minded fics are from the Dramione/hp fandoms, and the acomaf Rhys Pov fanfic. Even if you're not in those fandoms or ship those ships please report these accounts and listings. If you see any fanfic being sold, please report.
Yes, in fandoms we argue over ships, characters, plots, whatever. We also hold fanfic very close to us. We all know how much appreciation we have for fanfic and I hope we can put things like ship wars aside and stop these assholes from potentially ruining this for us.
Below is a SS of tiktok account sillycranes. The third image is a list of accounts that still need to be taken down. If you could please report them.
If you don't know what to say when reporting Sillycranes had another tiktok with a message. Feel free to copy and paste the below passage:
I am writing to bring to your attention that this seller is selling fanfiction which is illegal under the U.S. Copyright law, specifically the Copyright Act of 1976. Fanfiction is considered a derivative work, and as such, it infringes on the original work's copyright. Additionally, the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Lanham Act also prohibit the sale of fanfiction.
*prior to this post, it looks like Novabindery has been shut down. The other two remain. There's also these Etsy stores that needs to be shut down.

Illyriantremors (to my acknowledgment this isn't the illyriantremors it's some using their name to sell their fics)

Where did your party commission the DM screen? I would love to get one for my boyfriend/DM that has been going strong for three years.
Also, for you to DM for that long means you are a great dungeon master! Your party must love you!
One of my players made it for me as a collective thank you from them all! I'm not sure if she'll ever make one again, however. That's entirely up to her!
There are some great sellers on Etsy though who might offer custom work? But I'm not sure!
And shuck, thank you. I love my friends and players too. They're all phenomenal people and I'm blessed to be able to share this dorky hobby with them.

UPDATE: I'm Still Here!
Hi, friends! It's been a while since I last posted to Tumblr, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm alive and well, and have been very busy with a whole slew of commissions.
Here's what I've been up to for the past few months:
Personal Project: Princess Peach Showtime Dress-Up Doll
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have been OBSESSED with the Princess Peach game, and so have taken it upon myself to remake ALL of her outfits (13 total!) as my next big personal sewing project. I already have the base outfit completed, as well as Swordfighter Peach and Mermaid Peach (through I still need to add her pearls). Next up will either be Detective peach or Patisserie Peach. If you have a preference for which you'd like to see first, let me know in the comments!
Commission: Phoenix Wright "Beanix" Plushie
Tumblr media
I received another commission for a "Beanix" Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series. Unlike my last one, this client wanted darker skin with stubble and blue eyes, but it's mostly identical to the last one I made. Still, always nice to see this guy in plushie form.
Commission: Mousse from Food Fantasy
Tumblr media
Another commission I received from a VERY obscure mobile game (so obscure that I could only find 2 images of this character!) This was one of the most complex outfits I've had to do yet, with lots of little details on the boots and the belt and the cape, and the client was thrilled with the result. Although it had my head spinning at times, I enjoy the challenge of simplifying complex designs like this.
Shark Plushie
Tumblr media
This wasn't a commission or anything. My mom wanted to learn how I make plushies, so I taught her how to make a cute little shark. <3
Commission: FFXIV Player Characters
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And my most recent commission: a pair of Final Fantasy XIV avatars! These guys are Kasumi and Moe, and they are the client and his wife's characters in-game. The client requested them for his wife's birthday, and I was happy to do so. The outfits were so cute and cozy, especially the big fluffy househoes. I even included a little message in Kasumi's sweater pocket.
I have one more commission I just finished, but since the person hasn't received it yet, I'm keeping that one secret for now...
ALSO,
I've recently updated my Etsy shop with some new listings, including some physical, ready-made plushies that are priced to sell! So if you're interested in either an order or a ready-made plush, please come by my Etsy and see what I've got: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PlushieGalaxy?ref=seller-platform-mcnav#items
That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well!

hi sovo ;u; I hope it's okay if I ask you a shop question! So um, I'm lower on money than I've ever been and I'm too burnt out to do commissions for ppl due to personal stuff, but I feel like... if I made one charm or one sticker for a particularly huge fandom/movie that's out right now, and if I put it up as preorder and sold at least 20 keychains then I'd be able to pay my bills this month. but I've never sold physical merch before and I'm a little nervous to try it haha :'D
Would you recommend I try making an Etsy since it seems to have a large enough audience, or do you think I should try making my own website/shop? I'm definitely not ready to consistently sell things as a steady job yet, I thought I'd try literally just one single keychain or one sticker sheet (I already learned how to make those, thankfully) in order to pay my rent this month bc I've only got about a hundred dollars to my name sdflkfssdf;; and if it goes well then maybe I can try it again.
I'm also not quite sure how to price things? if I made a 3.5 inch acrylic charm with the little star shaped keychains like from Vograce, do people normally price those at $15 when they sell them? should I also account for shipping? I've also umm never shipped merch before and I'm so worried about somehow messing it up sldfjsf like I don't know what kind of envelopes I have to get or if I should even use my own address bc I'm so nervous about my personal info being out there, but I don't know if it's worth paying for a PO box if I'm so low on money already. if you have any tips on anything whatsoever, I would appreciate any feedback if you're not busy. But if you don't want to answer please don't worry about it ;u; anyway thank you so much for reading this I really appreciate you! ❤
no prob! here are my thoughts:
pros/cons of etsy:
apparently if you're new to selling on etsy, there's a probationary period where etsy withholds your profits for 3 months. i don't know anything about it personally since it started in 2020, but it seems that funds are only released when your shipped orders are scanned at the post office. i think i also remember hearing about other cases where payments aren't released at all for 3 months--and etsy customer service has a reputation of being difficult to get a hold of if you have a problem as a seller, so if etsy made a mistake with your shop, it may take even more months to resolve. since you have preorders in mind, i would hold off on etsy unless you can pay out of pocket.
etsy can drive traffic towards your listing for you (if you choose the right keywords--it's more difficult to be discovered just randomly if you don't).
they have high fees (for a $15 charm they'd take $1.88 in fees, which is 12.5%).
people may be cautious to buy from a shop that has no reviews yet, but many customers are protected by etsy's purchase protection and can be refunded at no cost to you if their order gets lost in the mail (provided that you ship with a tracking number and meet other criteria).
etsy will strongly recommend that you offer free shipping; ignore them. i don't think i've ever bought fanmerch with free shipping in my life, and their advice isn't geared towards sellers like us.
preorders don't work very well with etsy's system--iirc you're not supposed to do them (even though people still do, of course) but the main reason i remember is that the max processing time etsy lets you set per product (as in, the time between the customer purchasing the listing and you shipping it out) is 6 weeks. that means that the time you allow for customers to place their preorders, the time it takes for you to order and receive the merch, and the time it takes for you to ship out orders, all need to add up a max of 6 weeks, which was personally a difficult timeline for me to meet when making keychains. ofc, it's possible to extend the processing time, but going over the processing time may make it possible for customers to leave reviews/open cases early before you're even ready to ship out their orders, which could affect the reputation of your shop.
pros/cons of not etsy:
if you're not going with etsy, i've heard people recommend bigcartel, since it doesn't require a subscription like shopify or other places do. bigcartel's free plan is limited, but it should work for what you're looking for. another alternative might be ko-fi--i've heard that ko-fi shops aren't ideal for shipping out a large amount of orders, but since you're targeting just 20 i think it should be manageable.
ofc, you'll have to drive all your traffic yourself, so consider if you have enough of a following in your target fandom, or how you should go about getting your post noticed by your target fandom.
unlike etsy, shipping isn't auto-calculated, so i'd probably set a flat rate (in the US i'd expect $5). flat rates might make calculating your taxes just a little bit more complicated; in california at least, you have to pay taxes on the difference between the shipping you charge your customers and the shipping you actually pay to the post office, so iirc you either refund the extra shipping to the customer or hand it all over in taxes.
pricing:
yes, the standard price for ~3" acrylic keychains is $15, though i've also seen people go up to $16 or $17, especially on etsy where the fees are high.
shipping should be a separate cost, either auto-calculated for you (if you're on etsy/shopify) or a flat rate that you set based on shipping rates for your country, so in the end a customer might pay $15 + $5 = $20 in total.
unless most of your prospective customers are international, i'd recommend against shipping internationally to avoid dealing with customs forms, especially since you already have a lot of info to take in.
you can ship everything in a regular bubble mailer, though if you're just shipping stickers not keychains, a flat envelope should work fine. when shipping packages, you'll need to know the weight of each package, but you can just go by an estimate. a 3" acrylic keychain weighs about 1 oz (it weighs less than that, but they don't accept decimals) so i just multiply based on how many keychains are in an order. for usps at least, shipping is the same rate up until 10 oz iirc, so you don't need to weigh it super accurately. you could also always just go into the post office and have them weigh and label everything for you.
po box:
if regular PO box rates in your area are too high, you can also consider using a virtual po box; they go for about $10 per month at their most basic plans. if you're not expecting to get any mail redirected back to you, you should be able to just buy a month's subscription when you're ready to ship things out.
words of caution:
you probably already know this, but large fandoms can often be oversaturated by merch, so just choosing a large fandom might not be enough to guarantee a sale--you might have to stand out by, say, choosing a character who's in demand but doesn't have much fanmerch, having a funny meme concept, or having such a unique/attractive style that people can't help but want your fanmerch in particular. if you haven't already, i'd recommend looking around the market and seeing what's out there and decide why a buyer should choose your merch over anyone else's. though honestly, depending on your fandom, it could also not be this serious and not warrant much research--it all depends!
even if the preorder process works out and you get the funds to place the order, the manufacturer could always mess up on your order, which could lead to delays in your fulfillment and at worst, more expenses if you need to pay to get them remade. if it's easier to get sticker sheets made (like if you make them yourself/locally instead of ordering from overseas) they might be a safer choice of merch to make. ofc, i don't generally see sticker sheets up for preorder so you'd probably have to order them out of pocket and hope they sell, and you'll probably have to sell more of them than you would of keychains to get the same amount of profit. i don't know the whole situation, so i can't say anything definite about the risks/rewards between choosing to sell keychains and choosing to sell stickers.

GAH!
After 5 months of building, my Killer cosplay is finally DONE!
Tumblr media
I give you - me!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I Commissioned the hoodie from someone I’ve bought from before - a great seller on Etsy named Simakaihoodies.
I asked about potentially making a Killer hoodie some months after I purchased her Red (UnderFell Sans) hoodie and ended up wearing it nearly everyday for 4 months straight (seen below).
Tumblr media
I wanted to make it as close to canon Killer (owned by Rahafwabas) as a could, and she already had a great “faded blue” color cloth around from a previous Dust commission, so we went from there.
After that we went to what I’d like to see for a fur trim in a tan/cream-ish color, and upon not finding floof with the fibers as long as I’d like right away, nor the right shades, the hunt was on.
Tumblr media
Some weeks later she stumbled upon the perfect option and was quick to sew it up and send it out.
It was STUPID HARD to find white basketball draw-string shorts with a thick black line down the sides WITH NOTHING ELSE ON IT.
I wanted NO other colors, NO designs, NO trim, NO mesh-y type holes, NO piping, NO huge logo, NO fancy stitching.
Plain.
White with black.
Shorts.
After a couple months I found em.
I ordered a pair of leather fingerless gloves, they didn’t fit, wrinkled awkwardly, so I tossed ‘em.
I went to the children’s section of the dollar store, bought a pack of knit gloves, and cut the tips off - perfect length!
Tumblr media
Finding the right-shade-of-blue high-top canvas Converse in my size was NEAR IMPOSSIBLE too.
Either it was too expensive in pristine condition (which I DIDNT want), or leather (which I don’t think he’d wear), or the wrong size (my size is popular apparently so everything instantly sold), or was a flat-out wrong shade of blue.
C’mon, Killer wouldn’t care if his shoes are clean or not… his shoes would be beat-the-fuck-out, so I needed WORN ones.
I didn’t want to deal with stiff canvas.
I was probably gonna leave the laces untied to drag on the ground, so I didn’t care if they were clean or not.
I didn’t care about stains or scuffs.
BUT! They HAD to nearly match the faded blue of the hoodie - the canon Rahafwabas art shows they’re a similar color. One CANT be too much darker or lighter than the other.
After a couple months of searching, I found someone who LOVED their Converse enough to actually USE them before selling, AND they were the right shade.
I got ‘em for $16!
Tumblr media
So Killers socks are slouchy, right?
All the Sanses socks are.
So I had to stretch mine out.
Apple juice bottle came in handy for that.
Incase you were wondering why that photo was in the collage up there, lol.
The SOUL!
The SOUL.
Tumblr media
Killers target-shaped SOUL is a fuckin tap-light with 8 layers of cellophane glued on it.
THAT BITCH stressed me the fuck out building.
I TRIED to commission someone to make one.
Messaged a TON of people on Etsy about it, but no one could or would (some people said they were too busy cuz it was the Christmas season).
So I decided I had to make it myself.
Only I had to find the right-shade-of-red cellophane.
And I couldn’t just buy a single large sheet like I wanted. Stores (even online) only sell a massive pack.
So I just hung-out til it was the first week of February and stole some squares out of a Valentines Day decoration.
Hey - it worked, right?
It’s EIGHT. FUCKING. LAYERS.
To get this shade of red.
Exacto Knives, acetone, 3 special kinds of glue, and HOURS of tracing circular objects in my home, and it’s as good as I could get it for a first attempt.
I lucked-out when it came to the brightness of the damn tap-light. I NEEDED the light to be visible enough to tell it was on even in daylight (cuz, DUH, Killers SOUL always glows; not just in the dark!).
Mystique @lady-of-disdain helped A LOT on deciding some things when I couldn’t figure out a best option on my own. Her Killer knowledge and tastes match my own, so when stumped I chatted her up - this would have taken longer without her input.
So THANKS MYS *waves*
So it’s done, right?!
WRONG.
I need it to fuckin’ snow so I can take some damn pics.
BUT IT SNOWED YESTERDAY!!! Well. For a little bit.
So here I/he am/is!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s gonna snow again tomorrow, so I’m hooking up my camera remote to take better pictures - my tiny tripod with the camera timer was a fail, lol. That leaning pic came out way worse than anticipated, and that wrinkle-lump at the neck of the hood is really unbecoming in the chair photo. I’ll get some better ones this time and make a new post.
GO check out Simakaishoodies! Buy some Undertale! Buy some Delta Rune! Give her all the support and all your money!
And check out her Tumblr @simakai !!!
My next piece I commission will either be Mutt’s floor-length hoodie/duster from Fellswap (which is gonna be heavy as FUCK with all that fabric), or a Horror Sans hoodie (but I gotta find an effects-blood that won’t wash out, and study blood-spatter patterns and test ‘em out before I go and mark up any commissioned piece. Maybe I’ll use a real axe for the pattern to look legit, who knows).
In the meantime I’ll be work on completing Red’s outfit.
I still need a LOT for that guy, and finding the right-shade-of-yellow socks that will match the black shorts with yellow stripe, that’ll ALSO match the yellow in the hoodie is gonna be a headache.
Wish me luck!

okay i did something ridiculously cool today and i gotta talk about it somewhere!!!
so i love D&D that’s not news, i run multiple campaigns, and i also happen to have a ridiculous amount of dice. my dice addiction got out of hand a few years ago and just kind of exploded from there, i have no idea how many sets i have now, but i love them all equally (that’s a lie, but shh)
at first to store them i made myself a very simplistic dice pouch, but grew frustrated with having to search to find each kind of die amidst the bulk of them. then, i bought a dice box with multiple compartments and painted it with a unique design. i’ve been using the box to keep my dice stored for a long time, but the collection is fast outgrowing the box
now, thing is, i’ve been in love with Laura Bailey’s giant multi-pocket dice bags for literally years - ever since I saw her very first one that she had for Vex. i searched everywhere online for something similar after discovering those were by commission only and far outside my price range, and i found a few other sellers on Etsy with multi-pocket designs, but here’s the kicker: every single design was 4, or 6, or 8 pockets. every single one, even Critical Role’s dice bags of hoarding
and how many dice come in a polyhedral D&D dice set?
seven
i was twitching violently that there wasn’t a single seller pitching a 7 pocket dice bag. 8 pockets is too many - one would perpetually be empty. i could split one of the sizes of dice up, but that would bother me, because i am weird. 6 pockets was too few, i’d have to combine the d10s and d100s and there’d be double the dice in that pocket and that would bother me (running theme here). i realized, having some very minor experience with sewing, the problem here was that an uneven amount of pockets complicates the design/pattern massively. even numbers of pockets makes the design simpler, straightforward, even easy once you know what you’re doing. seven pockets? there’s a reason it hasn’t been done before
so there was only one thing to do (or, well, five things to do)
1. i’d have to remember how to sew (having done all of maybe 3 minor sewing projects over the course of my lifetime, all within the last 6 years, lol)
2. i’d have to set up my new sewing machine that i got for my birthday (which i have no idea how to do, loller)
3. i’d have to then design a completely original pattern (never done that either, son of lol)
4. i’d have to make a prototype out of whatever was available (paper towel and staples, not even kidding)
5. and if that prototype worked, i’d then have to make a fabric prototype from scraps and keep making it over and over until i could actually complete a successful, functional, never done before seven pocket dice bag
and y’all
y’all
i fucking DID it
I FUCKING DID IT
there were tears! there were furious sobs of hysterical frustration! there was enraged ripping of fabric and accidental bending of machine needles! there was a very melodramatic episode of running out of all the black thread in the house (fucking HOW) and racing out to the shops for more! but in the end, somehow, after 3 straight days of multiple scrap fabric prototypes and failure after failure, i made it and it worked
and now, i am fucking exhausted and i am going to BED but here’s some pictures of my baby!!
the original paper towel prototype:

the first fabric prototype, a HUGE failure. the gap in the middle of the inner webbing was a problem to solve, and the outer case was way, way too big and had to be fully revised

and finally, prototype #3, my second fabric prototype and my first full success - and yes, she’s ugly and made of scraps, but she’s still my baby goddammit

and now you’ve seen the world’s first (probably not, but shh let me have this) seven pocket dice bag!!

Here’s something new!
Legit maker and seller here, my full shop is only live on ebay right now but I plan to venture out to Etsy etc) You can find my shop there currently under the name cosmic710 but will be changed on the 11th, if you’ll be looking for me after then just wait until I make a post about it! Some masks were removed simply due to the quality of them and the ones up for sale will be quality repaired once purchased. I also will be opening digital art commissions as well as a range of self made stickers I have coming to my shop soon as well.
The masks I have up for sale are the first ones I’ve ever made btw! With time I get much better that’s why the prices are generally low on those
And honestly I just want to say so many more projects on the way! I have many ideas planned and saved out for future days.
In the meantime I also offer this;
An option for “care packages” specially put together by me personally. Featuring all kinds of cool and fun stuff! The proceeds of anything you buy from me goes straight towards affecting my life and supporting an artist!
It’s been hard in life because of my mental disabilities and no work experience at the age of 19 I haven’t been able to get a job after trying for around 7 months now. So I really have no choice in the meantime but to sell art! And well at the same time everything is getting expensive! Food and education and bills in particular, as well as saving up for my first car since I’m finally learning how to drive.
All being said I’d deeply appreciate any other artist interaction or any interested buyers!
P.s. also working on fursuits but I’m not active in the fandom due to the toxicity,,
And also more therian gear! Keep an eye out
Edit:
-Gear or accessories might not be made by me but artwork will be gear that was self made will have a unique signature on it ^_^
-I only source faux fur
- I use sustainable and recyclable packaging
