Candy Store By JEssica Keenan Wynn from Heathers- Yes this is another broadway song and I am exposing myself as a broadway bitch....I’m president of our college’s theatre club :O But also okay so like Regina George and Heather Chandler both have Sweethearts aesthetic of I’m a straight up bitch. Both of these songs are manipulative as fuck, but Candy Store has this quality of just like being blunt and forward? Someone Gets Hurt is Sweetheart trying to get love, but this is like Sweetheart and the main four. She has no problem being herself and herself is....ew LMAO Also Sweethearts character design is the paralleled to Miss Candice and she runs the candy store in Faraway. I couldn’t not put this song on 

Bubblegum Bitch by MARINA- I'll chew you up and I'll spit you out 'Cause that's what young love is all about So pull me closer and kiss me hard I'm gonna pop your bubblegum heart This song is like the best hybrid of the first two on this list bc it combines both vibes. Also the beat of it reminds me of Worlds End Valentine 

Potential Breakup Song by Ally and AJ (Yes the explicit version)- Sweetheart and Aubrey have sort of similar aesthetics to me but Sweetheart has none of Aubrey’s heart (haha pun) Aubrey’s like rocker chic is tinged in sadness and she has a depth to her. Sweetheart just doesn’t she’s a manipulative narcissist. So a lot of their songs have the same like kicking beat and elements, but they’re also very different

I Cant Decide by Scissor Sisters- The melody and beat and song in this song do not match the lyrics at all, but all of them combine to form Sweetheart? Yeah don’t have a good reasoning really but if you listen to it you know the vibes

Pity Party by Melanie Martinez- Could we have gotten through this list without Melanie Martinez? Absolutely not. That’s why there six instead of five. She’s like sweetheart personified. I chose this song of hers over Cry Baby or Pacify Her just because I think it hits like Sweetheart the best.
