has anyone acknowledged the fact that the set at 0:58 in the “kiwis leading the way” behind the scenes video is the same row of buildings where ed killed his dad? HE IS GOING HOME!!
hello………. are you. kidding? is this a prank?
now look i can’t make gifs but boy howdy can i take screenshots. it’s time to dive the fuck in.
Tumblr media
here are the buildings in the ‘the kraken didn’t kill my dad’ scene (i’m having to screenshot from youtube so the quality is in the toilet) but you get the idea.
now the s2 bts video that featured the “kiwis leading the way” message has been privatised on the Max youtube page (fuck you Max for your anti-union nonsense i hope you all choke) so I’ve had to take this screenshot from the second bts video they posted recently on the instagram
Tumblr media
if i’m remembering right this shot here is in the same place?
it does look pretty similar but i can’t confirm/deny if that’s ed’s hometown. if anyone has anymore insight that would be greatly appreciated! i’d love to know what you guys make of this. 🖤

I got a headcanon that the Iridium Snake Milk is not the only thing that physically changes something within the Farmer. They also eat a bunch of Stardrops, which increase the Stamina bar instead of the Health bar. The effects aren't probably all that noticeable if someone eats one, but seven will make it look like you got a whole ass power station inside of you.
By the late game, the Farmer is basically a nigh unstoppable force of nature, so much so that I wonder how no one, not even the Farmer's spouse, starts asking questions in the game.
And the Farmer can survive jumping down 10+ levels in the Skull Cavern without either ISM or Stardrops amongst other things, but whatever. I'm blaming Grandpa and mr. Qi for that one, at least when it comes to my Farmer. Sorry for the text wall, but I wanted to share something I've been thinking about lately.
Oh my god, yes yes yes yes! I totally agree!!!
I don't remember if I wrote a headcanon on this somewhere, but one of my theories was about why Farmer is so omnipotent and unstoppable already by year 3 in the Valley - Stardrops. After all, Farmer was lucky enough to find as many as seven fruits when only a few people can have just one single fruit.
With each fruit the Farmer eats, their stamina, their magic, their health becomes higher. And it's reflected in their lives. Also yeah, it's strange that none of the characters who know at least something about adventurers or magic (either in the vanilla game or with mods) never comment in any way for once.
Although, if you consider that the Farmer already a little weirdo before eating stardrops (in my game - constant climbing on trash bins and fishing from morning to midnight), then apparently nothing surprises them anymore.

Question: If you don't have a religion, what do you believe in?
Jeff: I believe in God, but I don't have a religion. It isn't easy to explain. A God with not rules, no love or hate. I believe in doing good things. If we have goodwills, they will lead us to the right direction no matter what. If our thoughts are wrong, they'll lead us to the wrong places.

VOD watching and Pac found Walter Bob’s house from before he lived in the prison. It’s confirmed that he had a spouse and child. The child’s room in the house had homework so there must have been teachers there at one point.
He showed it to Fit, but Fit was fixated on the way Walter Bob still looked completely blank/white in old pictures like he does now. It reminded him of someone he met on 2b2t, but when Pac asked if he remembered the blank man’s name he said no.

OK so a few things about Cassie's two pages in Wonder Woman #800:
Cassie dreams about herself in her YJ days. She looks back to that as her idea of herself. Call that repressing her 00s trauma, wanting to be who she was once, whatever you will, it actually explains the way she's acted since 2019 YJ. If that's who she wants to be, who she feels like, of course, she won't move on. Of course, she'll stay in her Wonder Woman fangirl phase. She doesn't see herself as the person shaped by Kon's and Bart's deaths and everyone leaving her and leading the Teen Titans & Young Justice. She sees the Wonder Girl before Donna's death, before things got complicated. Yes, it's really just a nice callback to the early 00s and to that time in Wonder Woman's history, but it CAN mean much more, and I choose to believe it does.
Who chooses Cassie to view herself like that? The writers. Out of universe. So if that's how writers view her, and Wonder Girl from 20 years ago, that's how she'll be written. And that's how she's written in Trial of the Amazons (essentially from the same writers). Where did her character development go? Great question, they just don't want to deal with that. Character regression at its best, from the very expert writers of DC Comics.
Cassie and Diana's relationship is SO hard to define. Mentor and mentee? No, and Cassie said it best in DCYJ, somehow. It's just so much more than that. Mother and daughter? yeah, but actually no because Donna is the sister of both of them. Sisters? No, not really, it feels like there's too much difference in experience and age and it just doesn't work as a general term for them. However, it does work at certain points. See some post One Year Later Wonder Woman comics that describe it like that. Friends? Yeah...? I mean, they are. and that's how the story describes them. "It's always been easy to love my friends." I don't hate that approach, but it lacks. However, it describes their relationship in recent years pretty well.
Lastly, on a more positive note about Cassie's character, I'm so glad she believes Diana & her and defeat Darkseid together because hell yeah. They can. Fuck power scaling, watch them defeat Darkseid with the power of FRIENDSHIP. Sisterhood, even. We love to see it.
And, of course, the pages because I won't rest until every Cassie fan out there sees them:

hi! was the anon with the whole dazai chuuya outfit thing. i went ahead and checked every single chuuya panel i could look into and yeah he actively loses/takes it off with dazai which? is? interesting :) ive also compiled some intances where hes dealing with other people just to compare!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
infamous dungeon scene- he grabs it by his hand over the shoulder first, before tossing it away. he also just...takes it off when kicking dazai's chains off
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
guild arc where dazai and chuuya work together- same deal with the dungeon where he grabs it with his hand so it doesnt fall off but later loses it because of lovecraft (also included the last image of him talking about plans with dazai like the ye olde days just because)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now him doing "im grabbing my coat so it doesnt fall off" thing is just....not in the panels where hes dealing with anyone else. like you would think hed do that while hes kicking kenji but he just. doesnt. you would also think that he would use gravity to keep it there? like he CAN do that. but its just...off when hes with dazai, even theres only like two whole instances in the manga. and now that hes "dealing" with dazai again, hes just straight up not wearing his usual outfit.
much to think about!
Op????? You actually went through each panel oh my god. You beat me to it!
I am really fascinated by this now. I'm unsure, due to Chuuya's inconsistent appearances in the manga, whether this was or was not intentional but either way, it's still worth noting.
While there are scenes where he's not wearing the coat (drinking with Kajii and Hirotsu, celebrating with Mori and Kouyou, as examples off the top of my head), these aren't the same since he enters the scene without the coat and the setting is more casual.
But yeah there's definitely more contact - and lack of - with the coat in the scenes with Dazai. Again, I'm unsure if this is intentional but it is nonetheless interesting.
In official art, I've noticed that Chuuya occasionally does the coat hold, but while Dazai is often featured, it lacks the context of the manga to be able to discern whether or not this is part of some trend.
I love the idea of it being symbolic in some way. I also love the idea that Chuuya touches his hat and coat more around Dazai because he used to use his nullification power to steal them and run off with them kjdfndkj
I imagine Chuuya has to use gravity to keep his coat on while he's fighting (someone teach these characters how to wear a coat properly hhhh) and because Dazai tried to steal his stuff so often when they were younger, it's now an automatic impulse to hold onto them whenever he's around hahaha
...that said, that doesn't explain the unusual loss of the coat in the Lovecraft fight. In the first scene, Chuuya kicks the shackles chaining Dazai to the wall - that contact could've released the hold he had on the coat... maybe. In the other, he just gets thrown into a wall and didn't come into contact with Dazai at all. Could it represent a return to just the two of them and their old bickering dynamic against a common foe, bare of the context of traitors and opposing sides for just one night? Maybe, maybe not. Again, it's hard to say.
Nice to (sort of) meet you btw! Or at least to be able to put a blog to the thoughts you sent earlier, haha.
