8 Reasons Why Lost Boys is The Best Vampire Film.
I have maintained, for the last 35 years, that The Lost Boys is the single greatest vampire movie ever made. I have just watched the 35th anniversary re-release and I stand by my claim.
Here's 8 Reasons why it's the best:
1) The soundtrack. Any soundtrack that includes People Are Strange(originally by The Doors, covered by Echo and The Bunnymen for the film) is automatically heading to the top of any list, but when that soundtrack also includes: Cry Little Sister (Gerard Mcmann), Laying Down The Law (INXS) and Lost In The Shadows (Lou Gramm) it's propelled even higher.
2) The Vampire aesthetic. This is a film made in, and set squarely in, the 80's. The look, style and overall aesthetic of the vamps matches this flawlessly. Having lived through the 80s I can confirm that a lot of people used to dress like that. But that's not the issue with this point. A lot of vampire films rely on an older styler of vampire aesthetic, even if set in a modern setting. A vampire in the now, who may need to try at times to fit in to avoid detection, is really unlikely to dress like people did hundreds of years ago. This film proved at the time you could bring vamps up to date, and not treat them like relics.
3) The use of Classic vampire tropes. Throughout the film we are advised on all of the classic ways to kill, or hurt, vampires. The use of holy water, garlic and sunlight. The thing about mirrors and reflections is brought up too, with one character who begins to fade in a mirror as he starts his transformation into a vamp. Some vamp films mess with these tropes and try to bring in new stuff that often just doesn't work. Sparkling in the sunlight? I'm looking at you. Yet this film did do one thing that added to the tropes.
4) New lore. While using the classic tropes in point 3 this film adds new lore. Based on Bram Stoker's seminal work most vampires turn to dust when staked. This movie builds, and expands, on that. To quote Edgar Frog, "I think I should warn you all, when a vampire bites it, it's never a pretty sight. No two bloodsuckers go the same way. Some yell and scream, some go quietly, some explode, some implode, but all will try to take you with them."
5) The quotable nature of so much of the script. This is a fairly standard thing in a lot of vamp films, but this film is just a step above most of the others. "You'll never grow old, Michael, and you'll never die." "Don't ever invite a vampire into your house, you silly boy. It renders you powerless." "Great! The Bloodsucking Brady Bunch!" "One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach, all the damn vampires." "You're The Only Woman I Ever Knew That Didn't Improve Her Situation By Getting Divorced." "You're A Creature Of The Night, Michael. Just Like Out Of A Comic Book." Now these are just a few of my favourites, but the point still stands. I'm aware this is probably the weakest argument of the list, but i stand by it.
6) The portrayal of the vampires. Even when we can't see them on screen we know certain things about them. They fly. They are a clearly terrifying sight, and they are violently, and inhumanly strong. They hang upside down in their lair to sleep and they have the strange eyes and fangs we all expected. And yet, despite their inhuman and violent nature, they are portrayed as intelligent and calculating. A combination that makes them a force to be reckoned with in the vampire community.
7) It doesn't take itself too seriously. Vampire films tend to fall into two camps. Very serious or overly comedic and, as with any genre of movie, it can be very hard to walk that tightrope with the right balance. This movie manages that with moments of terror, interspersed with light comedic moments. You find yourself fearing for the characters, only to find a short moment of relief with a laugh before the terror returns. Neither side of this equation is overdone, and neither aspect steals away from the other.
8) My final point is perhaps the most salient, and important, point of the list. Kiefer Sutherland as David. He commands every scene he is in even if he says very little. Yet he doesn't overpower or dominate the other characters at all negatively. His use of non-verbal communication, with his eyes, his smile and his overall demeanour as the 'leader' of the vampires is fascinating to watch, and his final battle with Jason Patric's Michael, zipping in and out of the shadows, then taking control from the high ground is simply exquisite. Even now 35 years later I look at Kiefer and the first thing I see is David. That's longevity, and that is why he is so good in this film.
And so there you have it. My list of why Lost Boys is the best vampire film ever. I'm already aware of some of the arguments that might come, specifically from the the From Dusk Till Dawn crowd, and I aknowledge tje excellence that, amd many other vampire films. But for me David, and his Lost Boys, will always reign as kings.
As an extra point look at this poster. This is perfection in poster format. While Jason Patric is front and large, Kiefer dominates the centre of the frame and is staring deep into your soul. That is a face that says "I'm in charge!" without uttering a single sound. Alongside that though we have the fantastic black and white imagery overlayed on a pool of blood red. This is a glorious poster and I really want one framed for my office.

Is it bad that I like sechskies but hate the seventeen movie I don’t know why I hate it but also like it I hope this makes sense
100% makes sense. It's an awful movie. Also of you think Seventeen is bad check out their musical. Or anything where they try to act.
I say that even as a huge fan of the movie LOL. I know it sucks- one of my hobbies is watching movies. I even have a letterboxd account that I'm stupidly serious about- but Seventeen is special. It makes me cringe so hard but they all look so cute. It's a good movie to watch with a bunch of friends if you want an embarassing and quotable film.

hey hey! idk if this is where I submit for the match up! but I would love to see who you think I'd fit in with! I'm a creative soul who tends to try to develop deep friendships with people above everything. I have a bit of a savior complex as well lol I work hard and play harder, trying to find new adventures to go on with those i care about. I tend to support others before supporting myself, and while im happy to let others open up to me its hard for me to open up in return. the best way i can feel close to someone is deep conversations and being creative with them!
My current fav song has been Maybe IDK by John Bellion, specifically the lyric "i guess if i knew tomorrow i guess i wouldnt need faith"  just the idea of living today to the best you can just because you don't know what will happen tomorrow. the worries of the future should keep you down today
My current fav Redacted audio has to be the Helping your Werewolf bf shift again. Specifically the acting is just so good to me. Erik did an amazing job of portraying Milo's anguish and pain at not being able to shift. Plus the relieved sobs at the end is so satisfying and emotional.
The one boy i cant get the hype around is Ivan. like sure the yandere thing is somewhat attractive to some, but i just don't like the idea of an actual psychopath being obsessed with me.
my favorite movie is definitely the Secret Life of Walter Mitty by Ben Stiller. its less of a quotable movie and more of i remember every scene very distinctly. its a movie that envelops my own escapism. its beautifully shot, wonderfully acted, and a wholesome story on a rainy day.
my platonic redacted crush has to be Damien. he seems like a blast to interact with and tease. he's a hard worker and is tied close to his goals which i can admire. i would love to body double with him if i had some tasks to get done
space is also 100% my ramble subject when im sleepy, that and greek mythology
My guilty pleasure media is currently the animated shows Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Lego Monkie Kid. despite being kids shows, both of these are beautifully animated and shockingly well written!
I hope that gives you an idea of me! I look forward to who you think i match with!

Hmm, lots of good tidbits of information to consider. You strike me as really thoughtful, really caring, and I think Lasko could really benefit from a partner like that.
A savior complex, from what I understand, is just wanting to help people and make their lives better, and Lasko’s a guidance counselor, so y’all would have that in common. What’s good about pairing two people like that is y’all could keep each other in line, so to speak. Something that’s important when you’re always looking out for other people is to make sure someone is always looking out for you and vice versa. You and Lasko together would always make sure you’re taking care of others, each other, and yourselves.
Another reason I like the two of you together is that you like being creative with one another as a bonding activity. You know what’s the ultimate way to be creative together? Tabletop role playing games! If you don’t already play, Lasko would be so excited to help you with a character sheet, to help you craft a backstory, paint some mini figurines, go out and buy the perfect game dice and notebooks- the greatest combination of nerdy and cute in a couple.
Song:
There now, steady love, so few come and don't go/ Will you won't you, be the one I always know?/ When I'm losing my control, the city spins around/ You're the only one who knows, you slow it down
One, the whole vibe of “you slow me down, I’ll look after you, we’re here for each other” vibes are exactly what I’m picturing for y’all. Also, Lasko and I are around the same age, and I heard this song a lot growing up. I have some weird, like, emotional resonance with it from childhood, and I think Lasko does too. Like, it makes him nostalgic and longing; maybe he always wanted someone to look after and to look after him, and now he’s finally found that in you.
Runner-Ups:
A very reasonable runner-up for you would be Camelopardalis because he would do a great job making sure you balance work and your personal life and that you don’t put others before yourself too much. A more fun runner-up would be Guy because I love sticking that beautiful Creative Writing major with other beautiful, creative people!
note: thank you for waiting, dear, and I hope you like your match-up! 💕
Read this post and send me an ask if you’d like a match-up of your own! 💌

The Human Tornado (1976)
Tumblr media
Dolemite is back and he’s… better than before? worse than before? Hard to say. One thing’s for sure, The Human Tornado is not a good movie but it sure is fun to watch. With great quotable lines, cartoon characters for villains, a self-deprecating sense of humour and plenty of technical flubs for you to poke fun at, it’s continuously enjoyable and always in new ways.
After Dolemite (Rudy Ray Moore) is caught in bed with the racist sheriff’s wife, he is framed for her murder. On the run with his friends, they head to California to meet Queen Bee (Lady Reed), a succesful club/brother owner. The local mob boss, Joe Cavaletti (Herb Graham) isn’t too happy about his diminishing profits and has kidnapped two of her girls. Dolemite and his impossible charm & virility is just what she needs to find out where they’re held.
You might consider this a better film than “Dolemite” because the script is better organized than its predecessor's. Moore’s trademark rhyming standup is still here, but instead of the plot coming to a screeching halt in a parking lot so he can impress people who just happen to be there, we get a scene setting up his newfound success as a comedian before the plot kicks off. His patented expressions and speech mannerisms are peppered throughout as ways for him to express his disdain for others (you rat-soup eatin’ mother f#cker!) or his surprise (b*tch, are you for real?!) writing them down does not do them justice. His delivery is hilarious. Something must be said about the film being perfectly aware of what it is. On one occasion, Moore/Dolemite breaks the fourth wall and re-plays one of the film’s “better” stunts to prove to us that he really did do that jump. The racist Sheriff on his tail is so racist and so over-the-top he might as well be an R-rated Yosemite Sam. It’s hard not to laugh at him or at the scene where we learn why Dolemite is called The Human Tornado.
Everything that made Dolemite a bad, but enjoyable picture is here too. The fight choreography is awful. Kicks and punches obviously miss by a mile and scenes are clearly sped up to make them seem more dynamic. Anyone with eyes can tell Moore could never, ever defeat the enemies the way he does in this film - martial arts training or not. As for the writing, "amateurish" is a generous term. When Dolemite and his buddies get to California, the film wastes time by having them wander from one place to another, looking for Queen Bee. It’s almost as if the clubs they visit are only there because they helped pay for this shoddy production. It makes you wonder how much of what you see was made “bad” on purpose, which makes it delightful. There's a psychedelic sex scene during the second half whose setup is ludicrous. I’ve seen more realistic scenarios in XXX-rated films. You think it’s just a gag but the follow-up is trying to be artsy in such a weird way it kind of makes you want to see the whole thing again, just to determine how you should feel about it.
There’s A LOT of nudity throughout, which might make some viewers uncomfortable. I say if you can’t be good, be sleazy. It makes up for the lack of over-the-top and shoddily-created gore I usually like to see at this level of filmmaking. Some of the intentional gags get tiresome pretty quick, however. Dolemite doing fake screams while revving himself up for a brawl is smile-worthy - at best - the first time around. Whenever he does it again afterward, you start reaching for the tomatoes.
I must also speak to you of another scene, one of my favourites because it unintentionally sends the wrong message. Dolemite and his (mostly useless) buddies are hitchhicking to California. They realize no one in America will stop their car to pick up this many Black men at once. It’s a harsh truth. So what do they do? All of them but one hide in the bushes and when a car stops, they pull out a gun, hold the driver hostage and force their way in the car. Guys! THIS is the reason why people don’t stop their cars to pick up Black hitchhickers!
With stereotypes aplenty, too many bare breasts to count, action scenes that’ll have you howling, a ridiculous plot and genuine enthusiasm from people who really wanted to make the best, most entertaining film they could, The Human Tornado is a great movie to sit down and watch at with friends. It’s what Moore would’ve wanted and he probably wouldn't even mind that you're laughing at the film, rather than with it. (April 9, 2021)

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Thanks....
I'm probably super late to answer, but this is such an interesting question. The following list is in no particular order; I'll also mostly disregard what I think of the franchises in general, any shipping stuff, and whether or not I think the character was done justice in canon. With many series, I kept reading/watching beyond what I truly enjoyed, because I adored the characters. A good story is important, but I won't truly get invested unless there is a person or dynamic I wholeheartedly love. Also, this got way longer and more poetic than I intended.
Levi Ackermann (Attack on Titan): Love him. Love him to bits. Love that he is technically an overpowered character, but so fallible. Always falling short in a lot of way, often unable to save those he loves. Still trying to do what's right, trying to make the world a better place. He is so full of hurt, and love. I love how everything about him is a contradiction; he is tiny but Humanity's Strongest, a literal son of a whore and the commander's right hand man, a thug with a potty mouth and a cleaning fetish. Levi cares and he cares so deeply. He is such an iconic character
2. Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist, particuarly 2003): Another tiny boi. Full of genius and heart and grief and rage. Edward is intriguing because he learned a really hard lesson when he was just a child. The story literally opens with him making the biggest mistake of his life, and then follows him trying to make amends. I love how is a spunky teen, and a major in a corrupt military, and a big brother, and a prodigy. A loud protagonist like him could easily have been a caricature, but instead he has a lot of facets and depths, and seeing him grow was a delight.
3. Ronan Lynch (The Raven Cycle & The Dream Trilogy): Ronan. Ronan, Ronan, Ronan who is capable of the most fanciful dreams and the most garish nightmares. Whose greatest gift is the worst burden anyone can possibly imagine. He is so tough and so vulnerable. Ronan is bruised knuckles and black boots and sprawling tattoos; he is Sunday mess and hand cream and raven chicks hand-reared in his palm. Ronan grows an entire forest out of a dead language, he would die for his family and friends, and kill for them, too. He prays and dreams and does not talk about his feelings. Ronan is barbed wire: he hurts and he protects, and sometimes he gets all tangled up in himself, only few people dare get close enough to try and unravel him again.
4. Dean Winchester (Supernatural): Hurt boi #4 because they are my favorite flavor. I love that he had to grow up way too quickly. From the beginning of the series, he was such an interesting juxtaposition, hyper-masculine but also geeky, a maternal figure to his brother and a failure in his own eyes, chosen by God and hunted by Hell. He went through so much and still always tried to put other people first. Self-destructive to a fault, insanely quotable, stupidly handsome, and beautifully 3-dimensional.
5. Tanaka Ryounosuke (Haikyuu!!): The joker, the idiot, the loudmouth, the perv even. The backbone of Karasuno that never breaks. Tanaka has such beautiful contrasts in him. He could be such a one-note character (if haikuu had any one-note characters), but instead he is what the team desperately needs. Where everyone else has their moments of weakness and despair, Tanaka is so reliable on the court, which makes the one match where he hits a wall feel so daunting. I love that he messes around a lot but, ultimately, he is always there, from the very beginning. I love his posturing and how he is ultimately just a boy from a small town. I love that he gets the girl. I also love that Saeko is his sister, but she didn't quite make it onto this list.
6. Fa Mulan (Disney, animated original, ofc): Mulan was my crush and my rolemodel and my pre-teen bisexual awakening. She embodied genderfluidity in a way that was way ahead of its time. Mulan is soft and feminine and caring, she is tomboyish and klutzy and wicked-smart, she is strong and manly and suited for war. Mulan's decision to join the army was not born out of a need to run away or prove her worth or to kill the Huns. She did it out of love, to protect her father, her family, her country. She knowingly put herself in grave danger, either by dying on the battlefield or by being found out. To me, the moment she is pulls herself up the pole to get the arrow is one of the most iconic in film history; that shit shaped me. She also managed to bag Shang, and boy, was he the other half of my sexual awakening.
7. the Unicorn/Lady Amalthea (The Last Unicorn): The whimsical fairy tale setting allows for such interesting story setting. The idea that she is the last of her kind, that she didn't even know because she was living in her eternal forest, that she left the sanctity of her home to look for the others, with no idea what she would find... I love that she, too, is ultimately a terrible and ancient thing, much like the harpy. I love her arrogance and ignorance, her wisdom and naivety. I love that she is turned into a human and hates it, and hates it more when she falls for Prince Lear. I love that she has to be brave and fight to save the other unicorns, that she succeeds but is forever changed. She is the last unicorn, and the first that learns to love. It's such a bittersweet ending, such a painful parting, and cherishes it nevertheless.
8. Brienne of Tarth (A Song of Ice and Fire): A tall woman. An ugly woman. A woman who is ugly and stays ugly, who grows strong because and in spite of it. The world has been so terrible to Brienne, many times over, but still she chooses to be kind. She devotes herself to Renly because he danced with her once, to Caitlyn because she showed her kindness, to Jaime even because he finally looked and truly saw her. I love how, especially in the books, we get to see a lot of Brienne through Jaime's eyes, how she grows more beautiful and precious the more he gets to know her. Brienne does not have to change for a man to love her; a man is changed because he loves her. Brienne is valor and strength and hard work through and through. She is a knight and she is a woman and neither has been a easily won.
9. Minerva McGonagall (Harry Potter): Do I even need to say anything? McGonagall, especially as portrayed by Dame Maggie Smith, is an icon. She is a badass. She cares for her students, even if she doesn't openly show it. She is easily the best teacher at Hogwarts, for quite a number of reasons. She is loyal and good and true. She does not pull her punches. She's witty and visceral and the kind of grounded mature character that HP needed, without turning into a caricature like some of the others. Many of the most memorably moments from HP canon, imo, involve McGonagall. From her welcoming the first-years over her feud with Umbridge to her stepping up against Snape and finally desperately calling Harry's name when she believes him dead. I was never a true Potterhead, but God, do I adore her.
10. Stiles Stilinski (Teen Wolf): The sidekick that was the protagonist to most. Dylan O'Brien brought so much to the table here. Stiles is the everyman amidst a sea of monsters, and yet he is the true force to be reckoned with. Stiles was the heart of the show and the brain. He was the snark and the ace up their sleeves. I love my quiet, tormented boys, but I also love my loud-mouthed idiots who are actually crucial for the group to succeed. I stopped watching TW a long time ago, but I still often think about Stiles.
Some honorable mentions:
Sokka (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Keith (Voltron: Legendary Defender)
Sailor Mars/Rei (Sailor Moon)
Madame Adelaide (Aristocats)
Elle Woods (Legally Blonde the Musical)
Thor (MCU)
Spock (Star Trek)
Newt Scamander (Fantastic Beasts)
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (How to Train Your Dragon)

What We Do In The Shadows / review.
Tumblr media
This is just my opinions on the first four seasons of What We Do In The Shadows. Pretty much spoiler free.
I started watching this show last year but never really got into them until the end of the first series which I finished at the start of the new year. And haven't been able to stop since. Of course, I know the original concept through the movie the show is based on and have been meaning to watch the shows for a long time, but never really got around to do it.
And this show, in it's short sitcom format, has gone by at a lightning fast pace that never really seems to take any major missteps, even after four seasons, but rather only seems to develop more and get stronger as the writers and the cast understand the world and the characters better. There is a good spark in the group that translate to the screen.
There is a lot of humor going on at all times; quite sarcastic, witty and dark. It's not for everyone, but I have a lot of fun watching it. There have even been several moments where I have laughed out loud - which is not something that happens very often. And there are a lot of moments that are endlessly quotable.
But despite the darkness of the vampire world and the dark, crude humor that is present within the shows, there is definitely a lot of heart there as well and it is a sweet and comforting watch. There isn't a character that I find boring or a dynamic that I don't think works and I really enjoy their approach to this vampire world and how our understanding of it through our pop cultural views of vampires is used to amp up the humor.
What We Do In The Shadows seems to know perfectly what it is and is not trying to be anything more than a mockumentary about vampires in our world, and it's really does that in a really charming way without being too excessive or trying too hard. It's silly, there are vampires, but that's also the point of it all. And they embrace the silliness.
It's usually a bit common with shows like this, in my opinion, that the characters don't change very much within the framework of the show. While each series has its own story to tell and the characters learn something before that story wraps it usually starts again with a clean slate in the next season, with some lingering elements from the previous ones. It is that way so that the dynamics of the shows and the characters stay relatively the same and the jokes work. But it works well for these sitcoms, and especially well with this show because these are centuries-old vampires and they're not exactly supposed to change too much. It does not make the story too stinted.
It's not that What We Do In the Shadows hasn't undergone any changes throughout its series, because all stories have to develop in some way or else they become too stagnant and convoluted and just don't work anymore, but the changes are subtle and small. They don't necessarily have too much influence on how the characters behave, so that the jokes and all that work. It can be a bit repetitive at times, but the shows are still always fun to watch. And that's just the sitcom format are, so I don't feel like I can give fault the show for that.
The characters still feel like the characters from the first season, but a bit changed with more inner emotional life within them as we see them interact more with Guillermo, which is the human perspective and the kind of emotional angle in all of this. And shows like this need those types of characters like Guillermo, who is our main character and the one that goes through most of the big changes, to bring out the the more human elements of the show.
The characters are all so colorful, powerful and unique in their own way, but they work very well together despite how different they are. As all sitcoms should be. It's just a really good sitcom formula going around. Everything just works out.
The series spends a lot of time looking at what it means to being immortal, which is not a new theme to explore in a show with a supernatural twist, but it's done in a very earnest and clever way and manages to do it over and over again without being too corny, or repeated. Probably because each character is really lovable in their own way, so we just care about their coils.
There have been times where it appears like the show is not quite sure what to do with all of it's characters and they kind of run in circles around the others who have more going on each season, but even if they take a few steps back with those characters they work well as a whole as this weird little vampire family that it hardly matters. The diversity of the cast is great and it's all done with such sincerity and dark humor.
Maybe the shows could do with taking a bit more risk at times, but each season does come with a way to challenge itself in one way or another. This is light and fun TV that manages to have humor, heart and a little action in this dark, but cool vampire world that is still filled with sincerity and love. I often find myself rather moved by all the different relationships and dynamics these not-so-human characters have and how much they mean to each other.

Watch With Me: Hart to Hart 1x15
Tumblr media
Episode Title: Night Horrors
Original Airdate: January 22, 1980
Why this one?: This is one of the most quotable episodes of the series ever. It's also a spooky Halloween ghost story episode that aired in January? Anyway. I love it.
Favorite Quote?: This should be the most fun you two have ever had with your clothes on. Hah, should be.
Max & Freeway are watching horror movies while the Harts are going out to dinner.
It's windy and blustery.
The Harts are discussing their "slightly weird" married friends who apparently bought a haunted house.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"I mean, would you go out of your way to buy a haunted house?"
"It wouldn't be so bad. We could spend the rest of our lives under a sheet."
The weird friends are named Fred and Amanda.
BETTER HOMES AND GARGOYLES. Oh you're a funny guy Jonathan.
Oh boy, there are howling wolves.
thunder and lightning very very frightening!
good evening, says lurch.
this lady asks what they think of the house and they're like "unique" they try really hard to be nice.
Poor Fred is so looking forward to his dinner, but he has to work on a presentation.
Tumblr media
So let's introduce the rest of the Clue Crew.
Michael is wearing a blue tuxedo. He writes scary stories. Jonathan hasn't read any of his books. whomp whomp.
Tumblr media
"Actually, I do most of my working out at home." and Jennifer actually chokes then says "He's in excellent shape" because she's as much of a little shit as her husband.
The house makes crazy noises.
Gladys is the real estate agent that found the house. And Reverend Tyson. I guess he's there for the exorcism? Gladys is already pretty drunk.
Tumblr media
The window blows open. Jennifer still hasn't let the butler take her jacket. She's got one foot out the door.
The previous owner, Greely, died in the master bedroom. The butler was with him for 30 years and he died quite peacefully.
Mr Greely had unfinished business.
OH NO THE LIGHTS WENT OUT.
Then there's Lorna. She's a psychic and she saw Jennifer in danger in her vision. Jennifer is still wearing her coat.
Tumblr media
The lights are flickering and everyone is like "weird".
Jennifer wants to go.
The lights go out again and when they come back on, Frilly Chested Michael says something touched him in the dark.
Tumblr media
Jennifer wants O U T.
Friends, we are ten minutes into the episode. It's dinner time and Mark Snow is really testing out his talents that will lead him to the X-Files.
Jennifer still wants to leave (she's given up her coat) but Jonathan is really excited to be in this crazy house.
The butler brings in the dinner under a big dome.
There's Fred, head on a platter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a big joke.
Other than his wife, nobody else is amused.
Michael asked how he arranged the "effects" in the parlor and Fred is like "what effects".
>insert favorite quote with jennifer looking not-at-all-amused
Fred tells them he's sending them on a treasure hunt. They're going to search for the hidden Greely treasure.
The butler is listening intently from the next room.
They can't eat until after the search
Tumblr media
Jonathan is absolutely TICKLED.
When Greely died, he bought his fiancee a ton of jewels. So they're all going to search for them.
The searchers will look in teams, but they cannot team up with the person they came with.
Jennifer REALLY wants to leave. "Party pooper?" You're damn right.
Jonathan searches with psychic lady and in the first room, she sort of slips into a trance. "No use in both of us sitting here and vibrating together."
Tumblr media
Jonathan is finally like "the fuck is happening here" so he continues his search alone.
Jennifer is searching with the pastor. She wants to search the master bedroom because she thinks he'd want to keep the jewels close - being close to the woman he loves.
The pastor guy thinks she's up in her feelings and being too emotional about the search.
Amanda is searching with Michael and he's bored. He thinks Fred is just playing with them.
while sitting and talking, Michael touches something or Amanda touches something and the wall spins. The chair she was sitting in reappears and she's gone.
Gladys is in the wine cellar drinking straight from the bottle.
Jennifer and the pastor find the psychic who is still in her trance.
Jennifer finds a lump in the master bedroom mattress and she needs a knife. Michael just happens to show up with one.
Instead, they find a drug kit. Master Greely was a junkie.
Tumblr media
Jennifer finds a shiny in the tiger's head and she plucks it out.
Tumblr media
The reverend pulls out a gun. He's been looking for the treasure for years. Jennifer hands over the giant diamond because hey, she could buy one if she wanted to.
Anyway, Jonathan hears the guy telling her to get into the closet and he races off looking for her.
The reverend pulls a lever, a trap door open and whoosh there goes jennifer. So when Jonathan makes it to the master bedroom, all he finds is the vibrating psychic.
Jonathan hears Jennifer in the walls and he searches for (and finds) the magic coat hook - but the door closes behind him. So all three of them are stuck in the walls together. Lookit the little scooby gang!
Tumblr media
The follow the passage and climb out of a wardrobe in another room.
The reverend has gone to his car so they go out chasing him...and find his dead ass. That's what he gets for being a creeper.
Tumblr media
Someone is trying to steal the Harts car - it's Michael and Gladys - they want to leave to get the police. Michael's keys are missing and the Benz won't start. The car phone has been yanked out and something in the car's engine has been cut.
Everyone starts bickering - Jonathan tells Michael he doesn't like his attitude. LOL
Back in the house, the phone isn't working.
"The phones are out and the cars are dead." Not to mention Reverend Tyson.
Jonathan takes over and when Michael belligerently asks who put him in charge Jonathan actually says out loud to a room full of adults "MY WIFE."
Jonathan goes in the kitchen with the butler to check the phone, gets a dial tone...and the butler smacks him in the head!
Everyone is a bad guy here, she thinks, as the butler stuffs Jonathan into a dumbwaiter, sends it up, and stops it between floors.
the butler finds the rest of the group bickering and kindly tells them to STFU, pulls a gun and makes everyone empty their pockets and handbags.
anyone else getting the impression he might not be such a good guy?
jonathan wakes up in the dumbwaiter, a bit confused
Tumblr media
The butler tells everyone he wants the thing the reverend had, that someone killed for, that he might even kill for.
You mean lurch didn't kill the reverend?
the butler actually looks a little offended. If he'd killed the reverend, he wouldn't still be looking for the treasure!
jonathan kicks his way out of the dumbwaiter, as you do, and ends up back in the room with the psychic, who is finally awake.
they go downstairs to find the butler holding everyone up and he tries to sneak down
Tumblr media
"Oh i know that trick. Looking over my shoulder as if there's somebody behind me." LOL Jonathan knocks him down and grabs the gun.
Jennifer points to the ice - there's a big shiny in there!
Tumblr media
Jonathan says it's glass, not a diamond.
Fred finally admits that he hid fake jewels all over the house and people found it, and were going to keep it. but someone had to go and make it serious.
The butler talks about how he and master greely "played". They would take turns hiding the chest of jewels. (that's not weird)
The master hid it just before he died and the butler hasn't been able to find it since.
He apologizes for hitting Jonathan over the head and the group takes a shovel out to the cemetery, the logical next step.
Tumblr media
they start a'diggin' it's a very long sequence of digging with everyone looking at each other suspiciously.
Less than 6 feet down, they find the casket.
Tumblr media
She's so pretty.
"Hmm, the family plot thickens," Jennifer says.
We find the jewels and blue-suited Michael pulls out a gun. He killed the reverend and he's taking the jewels.
Jonathan doesn't remember where he knew this guy - the firing range at the sunset country club. Jonathan shot against him.
Tumblr media
"I don't like being second best." Oh jonathan you're never second best. Jennifer does what she does best - she swung that purse at Michael and knocked the jewels out of his hand. the chase is on!
Simon collected the box and gave it to Jonathan, to see that it was properly taken care of.
"You know you were really gallant." You think so? I guess I was, wasn't I.
So the Harts go back home. Max and Freeway are in front of the TV sleeping. It's just static - remember those days?
The Harts knock and wake him up and he lets them in.
They decide they're going to stay in bed all day the next day and Max is all "heh yeah."
And then he asks if anything weird happened at the party. The kids start talking in Transylvanian accents and...
Tumblr media
what idiots. I love them, your honor.

Just saw Thor: Love and Thunder and jfc this was a frustrating movie.
I blame guardians of the galaxy for this, literally everything was set up solely for the next joke/punchline and the best parts of the movie only happens in the last 20 minutes when there wasn't people dropping the word "shit" or "shitty" every two seconds, and that they actually had to be aware of what was going on. In fact it felt like each scene was trying too hard to become quotable meme audio and what tops it all is that this had so much damn potential so much could have be been done but NOPE
And what's even more painful is that especially in those last minutes it was BEAUTIFUL THE SCENE WAS STUNNING AND THE BEST OF WHOLE ASS MOVIE
But then it's over as quickly as it happened and it's back to shit humor
Also it felt like the movie couldn't decide what TYPE of comedy movie it wanted to be. Slapstick? Banter? Gallows? Punny? Natural?
Either way they missed the mark on so many jokes

//I'll answer these for Mun as I tagged it Munday =) Questions for movie fans Specify if for mun and/or muse! - @dontcxckitup
What’s your favorite movie?
Mun: THE MUMMY RETURNS/The Mummy - I mean as if it wasn't obvious. I love the mummy returns so much it's just so much fun and so quotable and it's one of those formative films that made me fall in love with adventure/pulp movies like that.
I also really love: The World's End, Galaxy Quest and Muppet Treasure Island, Die Hard.
Who’s your favorite actress/actor? -
So I have a few, I used to get very hyperfocused on actors, but I'm going to be honest I might not have seen everything they've been in. I think part of this is because I really like characters so if they have several characters I like I just class them as my favourite actors. I also think Rickman's death had an impact on me getting too attached to actors/actresses.....
Anyway, my favourites are: Rachel Weisz, Alan Rickman, Sam Neill, TIlda Swinton
Do you collect anything movie-related? Is there a backstory to any of those items?
So I used to collect DVD's and I have about 300+ of those but I stopped because of streaming/room/cost. They used to be a special thing I could get when I wasn't earning very much money. I have a few pop funkos and such but I think my collecting of movie/tv stuff really stopped after a certain author revealed herself to be a certain type of way. I don't want to get into politics here but that franchise was my specialist interest and I knew everything and I had so much merch, even a lot of stuff from before the films ever came out. I even have sticker books with animations from before the movies were released. I just found that I couldn't, in good conscious, keep engaging with the franchise and talking about - which kind of meant endorsing it - when the author/creator was and still is actively trying to hurt a minority of people.
I still have the stuff in my loft, packed away safe in case she ever apologises and realises the error of her ways but it kind of made me hesitant about collecting a lot of movie stuff.
That being said I do enjoy getting stuff that's like not directly merch but more fan created or something I see and associate with the movie (if that makes sense) - so like I have a Mark Sloan (Diagnosis Murder) build a bear. I have a star trek build a bear too with a little phaser.
That was a lot of rambling sorry!
Are there any movies that had a huge impact on you? In what way?
The Mummy/The Mummy Returns - It influences everything. I think watching it was one of the first times I sort of registered that this is how you do good, 3 dimensional characters. It's such a fantastic example of how to do a good ensemble cast movie. A brilliant example of how to balance comedy and horror and I adore it.
There's a lot of movies that have had a huge impact on me in different areas of my life so it kind of depends what we're talking about. I have to break them down and catergorise them haha!
Have you ever met an actress/actor? -
Tv actors and actresses I've met a few, I used to know someone who worked in soaps over here in the UK and they'd often have parties with soap actresses/actors.
I met Bianca Del Rio at a meet and greet.
I had the opportunity to meet a few at the Macbeth Premiere in Edinburgh but I was too nervous and chickened out (I wanted to meet Paddy Considine and have him sign something for me so BAD).
I just get too nervous tbh. So I don't know if I'd be able to meet one.

went to see barbie today with maggie, daisy, alex, and ruth.
maggie and i cried dude it was AMAZING
a lot of it was maggie either pointing at me or alex for the characters doing something stupid that even SLIGHTLY related to us
alex was almost late which had the other three losing their goddamn MINDS. pacing and saying his name trying to summon him n shit. maggie said “he’s probably pulled over with a double cheeseburger smoking a cigarette and listening to van halen” mag i know you don’t know i smoke but that sounds like the best day of my life. instead of shuttling you three around i could’ve been splitting a pack of camels at burger king with the guy i’m tied for as biggest van halen fan? yes please.
anyways it was such a good movie. very funny, amazing comedic timing, very relevant, whimsical, earnest, charming, all that. it feels like an old cult classic you find out about when you’re in middle school that changes your life. it’s like rocky horror but socially acceptable. represents an oppressed community as the majority of the characters and anyone who isn’t included in that group is treated as the outsiders for once, is so warm and silly and there’s things you can still laugh at every time you watch, and a little bit at the end that you didn’t expect to make you cry so hard.
it’s very quotable and so sweet and genuine. all the doll characters really do seem like they’re being controlled by idealistic children.
i just know that maggie and i are gonna refer to my trailer as stevie’s mojo dojo casa house.
we got a lot of photos of us in our feminine doll outfits and we looked really cool. i was basically in a relaxed version of my homecoming look. black v neck dress, bigass eyeliner, beehive hair and nicely done bangs.
we went to waffle house after but alex had to go home right after the movie. i’m not as close to ruth as maggie is so it was a little weird but i still get along with her just fine. again, i knew everyone on the shift and my friends thought it was crazy.
after waffle house i took daisy home and the rest of us went to fuck around in walmart. i got the last two metallica cds i was missing and tried not to cry. there’s a photo of me in the mini arcade at the front of the store holding them while on the tiny kids merry go round waiting for ruth to finish something.
mag had a breakdown when she got home over not being able to fully be herself around daisy and ruth, which i completely understand. she’s the designated funny friend who no one bothers to check in on or take seriously. she kept saying “well maybe i’m just wrong because ruth just goes to therapy and writes it in her journal she doesn’t hold grudges or make enemies like we do stevie” and that’s when i told her that she’s a main character of my diary blog so hey. me fuckin too. ruth is just a lame christian who doesn’t get fucked over as much as we do.
today was a good day. but still, i had to do so much to avoid my parents. wake up at a certain time, leave when i hear dad turn on the shower, and not come home until they went out to dinner. this is my fucking house man.
i think i had other things to say but my brain is FRIED right now. too much hairspray and eggos or something i guess.

Episode < 87 > Intersections In Real Time
Sheridan is ruthlessly interrogated by the Earth Alliance.
John Sheridan is alone in a cell and can only remember Michael Garibaldi's betrayal and Susan Ivanova's objection to him believing him. A man enters with a briefcase, two others bringing in table and chairs. The man, William, begins interrogating Sheridan, warning him he'll be punished if he even hesitates to answer. Sheridan approaches him, only to learn the hard way he has a Narn pain collar on. William declares he does not want to hurt Sheridan, and does not care about him one way or the other – he only wants Sheridan's cooperation. The two officers come in again to forcefully strap Sheridan into the chair. William asks about any health conditions he should be aware of. Sheridan answers in the negative, and he begins.
~ Notable Quotables ~
"When I ask a question, you will respond at once. You will not hesitate, you will not consider, you will not lie. Co-operation will be rewarded, resistance .. will be punished."
Interrogator to Sheridan
"There is nothing to be gained by trying to harm me, I am not the enemy. To be the enemy, I must have some personal stake in what happens to you. I am not interested in that at all. I'm here to do a job, nothing more. You are a name, a file, and a case number, that's all."
Interrogator to Sheridan
"It does prove though how everything is a matter of perspective. You see what you think is daylight, and you assume it's morning. Take it away, you think it's night. Offer you a sandwich, if it's convenient, you'll think it's mid-day. The truth is fluid, the truth is subjective."
Interrogator to Sheridan
"The truth is sometimes what you believe it to be, and other times what you decide it to be. My task is to make you decide to believe differently."
Interrogator to Sheridan
"You have been interrogated before?"
"Yes."
"Anyone I know?"
"You'd be surprised."
Interrogator and Sheridan
"No! You have no rights. There's no courtroom here, Captain. No tribunals, no attorneys, no justice, no mercy, no fairness, no hope, no last minute escape. You will walk through that door when you confess and not one second before."
Interrogator to Sheridan
"You will co-operate with the state, for the good of the state and your own survival. You will confess to the crimes of which you have been accused. You will be released and returned to the society a productive citizen if you co-operate. Resistance will be punished, co-operation will be rewarded."
Recording to Sheridan

✨appreciation post for the types✨
- from your local intp🖤
--------------------------------
✨The Intuitives ✨
entj (the commander)
Where to even start, as an intp i have a special place in my heart for entjs and that place is my whole heart. Your ambitious nature makes you charming and intriguing, but the fact that you're secretly a nerd and love learning new things no matter what the topic (and are a whole baby✨ aka the little spoon) is the reason you're simultaneously the intp's best friend and soul mate. 💖
p.s you're not mean, you're hilarious, and i love that you're the best out of all the types at roasting people.
entp (the debater)
ah yes the other half to the "nerds of chaos" dynamic duo. your determination and open mind, provide for some of the best times. if two types were ever the most similar to the point of twins, it would be the entp x intp best friend dynamic. truly there is no one i trust more to tell literally anything to. you're someone who will never belittle or judge in high horse way. but still be honest and leave nothing out. if you feel a way you say it, with no guessing or game playing. and your humor and pet peeves are the exact same as the intp's and as i'm sure you'll agree. being able to hate the same things and laugh at little kids eating shit (even though we're not suppose to 💀) is the pinochle of best friend twinning. (at least for xntps lol)
intj (the architect)
ohhhh, you, you little minx. and i know you hate being called that, which is why it would be your contact in my phone. your lowest points are probably the thing intp's (unlike everyone else), like the most. you know what i mean... don't pretend you don't... *whispers* your lil melt downs, when ya get real serial killery... *snorts with laughter* oh don't worry you're still the superior being. 😏 in all honesty what would the intp be without you... that was rhetorical! stop listing things! anyway, your organized methodical approach is so satisfying. and your smooth intellectual burns that go over most people's heads, brings true peace to all NTs souls. thank you for your service. 🙏
enfj (the protagonist)
you're the main character. and i mean really. when you're at your best, at a large scale, you can lead generations, save those in need, do some seriously rob stark from game of thrones type shit (the most beloved stark by the people and the best leader tbh) on a small scale, you motivate those around you to charge into battle even when we literally just live in the city and are trying to get through college and the corporate world. 💀 even the rogue, pride themselves on being individuals intps, would follow you into the fire. and it's not just because of your charisma either, you actually think in big terms and care about things and people. keep being the king/queen in north (what they called rob stark when he fought for the North's independence)
enfp (the campaigner)
ok not gonna lie, i was so excited to get to yours... you are so incredibly enthusiastic and confident and some how self deprecating at the same time. you are genuinely fun. like the definition of fun. if you were a dog you'd be a golden retriever. no matter how bad things get, you are the one that can make someone smile. your laugh is infectious and no one and i mean no one, can make an intp laugh soooo hard like you can. you can make anything interesting. your idealistic humor has had me crying laughing in the canned foods isle of a grocery store, while you held onto the cart holding a can of bean sprouts, even though we were there getting ingredients for waffles and french toast... like how did we even get on that isle?? why were you holding a can of bean sprouts?? who's to know when you're both intuitive perceivers. ilysm, never ever change. 🖤
infj (the advocate)
you're the best person to go to for advice. genuinely. no matter what you think about yourself (that day lol). you see things in people that they don't even see in themselves. you care about those around you so much to the point you don't like talk about your own troubles. it takes time for you to open up, but when you do, you can be just as weird and hilarious as intps and sometimes more so. we always have fun doing seemingly mundane things like watching crappy horror movies or making frozen pizza. you plan THEE most incredible parties and activities. like seriously some of the best holiday/travel memories i have came from your mind and your company. you bring a gentle order to the chaos of life. my thanks for your being and your infj services transcends words. so i'll just say fannnkksss 😁.
infp (the mediator)
the most opposite and simultaneously most similar to the intp. you are thhheeeee bessttt. you make everyone around you feel comfortable. i can always come to you when i feel like i'm losing my fucking mind and you always know how to explain emotions and human interactions to me. not to mention giving some real slap in the face advice that is much needed! so helpful, one of the best wingmen/match makers, and probably the funniest type when drunk (next to entj). you can chill and watch movies all day or go out to a winery and have a great time. i swear no one is more quotable. we still say hilarious words or sayings you've said years ago and has now been developed into our everyday vernacular. people seriously underestimate you and you do the most and never look for praise or self-aggrandizing ass kissing. you are the LAST person to be a teacher's pet and are one of the most selfless people i know. keep doin you boo 👻
*stay tuned for a letter to the sensors✨*

A ramble about Kingsman
I need to post this somewhere because I didn’t know what the Kingsman movie franchise was about until I watched the two movies consecutively yesterday. AND I NEED TO RANT BUT I HAVE NO ONE TO TALK ABOUT IT TO!!!!
Based off of the title of the first movie (Kingsman: The Secret Service), I assumed it was about the behind-the-scenes of royalty conspiring against the people they are supposed to look after. I thought, ‘Hmm… this seems like it’s dramatic, and I’m not really on the mood for drama so guess I’ll put this on my “to watch list” and disregard it until further notice.’ Upon reading the movie synopsis, I realised it was actually about gentlemen spies so I knew that I had to watch it.
I think the movies are adapted from a comic franchise(?). I’m not 100% sure on this but whoever the original creator is, they are an absolute genius. It was a mixture of comedy, drama, action and so much more. It’s also one of the most quotable movies I have seen this year; from “Manners maketh man” to “there’s a reason aristocrats developed weak chins” to Eggsy simply adding “fuck” in every other sentence he says.
I don’t usually enjoy comedy films these days because I feel like the humour is forced, the jokes are overused and overall, just doesn’t flow well with the scenes. But in Kingsman, they don’t overuse humour and it doesn’t feel like you have to force yourself to laugh at the jokes they make. The movies are like… a friend? It feels familiar and you can really just sit and enjoy. At times I found myself laughing because the amputations and headshots were so unreal but was obviously added humour.
It’s also very educational and shows sides to politics that is somewhat easier to understand. I still struggle understanding climate change sometimes because statistics are always stacked on top of each other… no matter how much I try to educate myself there’s always more to find out. Kingsman provided another explanation that was easier for someone like me to understand. The analogy of the earth being sick and climate change being the fever to get rid of the virus?? *chef’s kiss* (also thanks to my bio teachers for helping me understand that reference ig lol). The Golden Circle educated me further on the war on drugs, which I’m thankful for. IT ALSO SHOWED just how big a mess politicians always are. It’s very admirable, I think.
As much as I loved “Manners maketh man” as a quote from the movie, followed by the flawless fighting from the gentlemen, my favourite favourite quote was the one about the aristocrats I mentioned earlier.
“…there’s a reason aristocrats developed weak chins.”
I had to google it initially because I didn’t fully grasp the idea of a ‘weak chin’ but basically weak chin = weak character. I thought it was maybe how powerful, wealthy people grow bigger because they don’t work as hard as the people they pay to do their dirty work. Weak chin meaning that they have a rounder face and an undefined chin because they are just consuming their money’s worth of food?? Maybe it’s another, more complicated way to think about what I literally googled. I’m not really sure how to explain my thought process but anyway.
THERES A REASON WHY ARISTOCRATS DEVELOPED WEAK CHINS!!! ITS BECAUSE THEY EXPLOIT PEOPLE WHO ARE WILLING TO DO THEIR WORK FOR THEM, WHO ARE MORE CONFIDENT AND THOSE WHO NEED EMPLOYMENT TO GET BY IN LIFE. ARISTOCRATS ARE USELESS BECAUSE THEY DO NOTHING THEMSELVES AND LIVE OFF OF PEOPLES HARD WORK YET STILL HAVE THE LUXURY TO ENJOY LIFE.
Okay this has gone on for way too long, I’m even boring myself at this point. Some final things before I give up on this: the characters are well-done, the acting is great (they have undoubtedly done so well with the casting), the plot is a solid 9/10 just because there’s always room to improve, the cinematography was also consistent! I can’t wait for the prequel which is supposedly coming out this year (2021) I probably won’t ramble about that one though so farewell to this post for now I guess.

What is your favourite quote for each Team Rocket character?
Good question. This took me a hot minute but was really fun to think about.
Jessie - “Thank badness we’re alive!!!” I actually don’t remember which episode this is from, I tried to google it, but I specifically remember it because I used to quote it all the time. I just thought the idea that villains would actually say “thank badness” was hilarious.
James - Zero is a gross exaggeration, we are at least two to three percent worthwhile! (Talkin’ Bout an Evolution) James has like a million great quotes but I always loved this one. You have to appreciate his candid self-awareness 😂 A lot of my favorite Jessie and James moments are where they happily admit they are failures but remain totally undeterred. Also - literally ANYTHING he says in the Flaming Moltres episode 😂
Meowth - “Maybe if we started lookin at what’s the same instead of what’s different…well, who knows?” This is part of his little monologue in the first movie when he’s talking to the clone Meowth, I always loved this quote. I mean, what a great sentiment, delivered in a touching way that only Meowth could do.
Cassidy - “Oh I’m still shaking like a leaf officer thank goodness you were here to stop them before they hurt the Pokémon ~ oh!” (The Breeding Center Secret) Butch and Cassidy have a lot of great quotes, especially from chronicles where they started getting played for laughs, but I really love this one because it highlights Cassidy’s ability to turn on and off this fake persona she’s created totally effortlessly. The delivery of this line is just 10/10. No other episode has really showcased her ability to do that as well as their first appearance, but I always loved that about her. She deserves an award for that performance lmao 😂😂
Butch - “I am, but I like dry socks.” (Showdown at the Oak Corral) I’m sorry, there are also a lot of better Butch quotes than this but I have to pick this one because it made me laugh like no other. The man likes dry socks, ok? 😂 Also I think I just like it because it’s a little glimpse into Butch as a person, he seems like he can be a little particular about stuff.
Domino - “I’m like a totally off the hook fan of yours! I wanna be just like you when I get old!” (Mewtwo Returns) Domino, like Cassidy, has the ability to adopt a fake persona and do a REALLY good job at pretending she’s somebody she’s not. I love her ditzy voice she uses when she’s undercover, but this quote in particular because even when she’s trying to be cute and sweet, this was a pretty backhanded compliment to throw at that doctor. (I forget her name, but she wasn’t even old 😂) It was pretty funny.
Wendy - “Revenge is sweet, my dear Jessie.” (Dues and Don’ts) I mean, you have to love a good long grudge. The fact that Team Rocket even has an HR department is hilarious on its own, but the fact that it seems to be led by a woman who held onto a personal vendetta against a fellow employee for YEARS, all because of a fruit smoothie, is even better.
Attila - “I used to collect them, they’re very sweet creatures.” (Legend of Thunder) I’m pretty sure this is a dub only fact about Attila, but I absolutely love the way they dubbed Attila and the idea of someone like him with a soft spot for Caterpie is just…I love it 😂 Seriously though Attila has a whole score of cheesy dialogue, and I love almost every single thing he says. Yippie Yi Yay 😂
Hun- “You don’t get to run the world by being fair; you get to run the world by being nasty!” (Legend of Thunder) Hun…who hurt you? 😂😂😂 Do you need a hug? This was tough because there are multiple times in LoT that Hun has to try and keep Attila on task, which I love, but I picked this quote as my fav because I like that little glimpse into Hun’s sinister personal ideals.
Tyson - “You look a little…tied up! BAHAHAHAHAJSJFGSHKJAFLSNWSA” (Talkin Bout an Evolution) I’m sorry, I love bad puns, and that exaggerated laugh he does at the end, I love it so much 😂😂😂 There are lots of bad puns in the Pokémon anime, but this one…it’s the laughing at his own joke for me 🤣 And the fact that none of the grunts with him are laughing at all, dub or original. You can tell this is a frequent occurrence and they’re just over it. 😂😂😂
Pierce - “Then we’ll just have to see how good you are. *laugh*” - this might seem like a weird quote, but I picked it solely because of that little laugh he does at the end. Pierce unfortunately didn’t get that much screen time, so he’s not super quotable :( Which is a shame because he really, REALLY has a nice voice. It might actually be my second or third favorite, behind Sebastian and *maybe* Attila (only because I think it suits him so well)
Professor Namba - (singing) “Rage, rage, bring out your raaaaage!” (One of the Lugia episodes, I forget which one) 11/10 beautiful vocals, clearly should have been a singer and not a scientist. Seriously though the fact that Namba can be in the midst of such a cruel experiment and stand there and sing a song about it really highlights his insanity and I love it.
Dr Zager - “CURSES!!” (I forget the episode title, I’m so sorry) Again, someone who sadly didn’t get that much screen time, BUT we do at least have this quote. He’s overall a pretty serious character and doesn’t have any especially memorable lines…except this one. 😂 I love it. Very old-fashioned villain, Old Man Yells At Cloud energy here 😂😂😂
Professor Sebastian - “If you’ll kindly follow me, I believe you’ll find this…electrifying.” (Legend of Thunder) this is REALLY hard because I love everything he says, but once again my appreciation for bad puns wins out in the end. Also the confirmation that Sebastian does have a sense of humor, however bad, makes me very happy. 😂 Would watch an entire episode of Sebastian and Tyson making terrible puns. No, actually, an entire feature length film.
Giovanni - “I haven’t had any repairs done to those old blimps for decades. They’re completely unfit to fly. About the only thing I have maintained on those blimps are their insurance policies.” (A Scare in the Air) this is not only my favorite Gio quote but one of my favorite moments in the entire anime because it’s so dark. I even posted about it recently. Giovanni actually tries to have three of his employees killed and profit off of their deaths via insurance fraud. AND HE DOES IT IN SUCH A CAVALIER WAY YOU KNOW IT’S NOT HIS FIRST TIME DOING IT. Also you really have to just appreciate the confirmation that insurance - an evil greater than Team Rocket- exists in the Pokémon world.
(I’m sorry if some of these quotes are not exact word for word, I tried to google to confirm I’m remembering it correctly, but it’s not as easy to find some of these as you might think 😂)

Ever since learning about this it hasn't left my mind so I need to post about it in the hopes that it will also drive you all crazy and maybe (just maybe) something could spring...
But the thing is, Daniel Waters, the man who wrote the screenplay of Heathers (one of the most creative movies out there at the moment) (a movie so f**king quotable) (I mean, just with this line alone
Tumblr media
Also co-wrote Batman Returns!!! But that's not what keeps me awake at night. THIS IS:
Tumblr media
WHAT THE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU7.
WE ALMOST HAD THAT! imagine it. This b*tch:

Going around "las Vegas" trying to do business. Some girlbossing, if you will. While beating the shit out of a poor man's Superman. My head can't help but picture the energy of that Looney Tunes movie where they go to las Vegas but with more murder and black humour.
The reason why it has always been hard for me to decide what my favourite movie is has been revealed: my favourite movie is this one but it hasn't been made. Please for the love of God I need to read that script.
