An assortment of Grian appearance headcanons I’ve had on my mind lately!

(Obligatory mention that I’m talking about Grian the character and not Grian the youtuber, here’s your confirmation that this is not about real life guy Grian minecraft whose appearance is well documented, but rather it is about his minecraft roleplay character who is made out of pixels and blocks and whose appearance is very much up for discussion)

His eyes are that shade of brown that’s so dark it looks black

He wears glasses, and through experience he has learned that unless he wants to be replacing them about once a month he needs them to have a thick and sturdy frame

Grian has a whopping case of adhd and is extremely good at misplacing his belongings. His glasses are not exempt from this just because they help him see, and he has managed to lose every single pair he owns several times. At some point one of his friends (I'm leaning Pearl or Jimmy) got tired of hearing him complain about it, and got him a golden chain to keep them on. Grian pretends he’s just using it because it appeals to his love for shiny things, but in reality it actually helps him a lot and he would be very sad were he to lose it

Speaking of his adhd. This guy moves. He does not sit still, does not like to be doing nothing. He builds, he helps other hermits with stuff they don’t have time to do, and he is well known to do Grindy tasks. And you know what that means? Grian is strong. In fact, Grian is buff

This is related to some hybrid stuff I’ll get more into in a sec, but very specifically, Grian is a flyer and those natural wings need a lot of muscle around them to work. That means a lot of upper body strength, especially in the pectoral region. Yes, I said gritty rights.

I wish I could remember what artist originally drew Grian’s waffle as an undercut with a pattern because I love that headcanon so much. He varies what the rest of his hair looks like (he has a manbun in season 9) but the undercut stays no matter what

Tangentially, the reason Mumbo now has a waffle as well is that his hair just grows in that shape now. He has extremely specific alopecia, and it is unclear whether or not Grian is the same or if he just prefers to keep his hair that way.

Grian has clear and visible bald patches in his eyebrows. This is a product of him having had TNT blow up in his face one too many times, resulting in the follicles having been damaged

Along a similar vein, he is also missing somewhere in the realm of 1-3 fingers total on his hands

I don’t think of Grian as someone who is very particular with his hair or with stuff like makeup. Most days he’ll do the bare minimum of combing his hair to look presentable and that’s it

That said, he loooooooves shiny jewellery, and his wardrobe is by far the largest on the server. Due to aforementioned constant moving he need things that are practical to move in, but other than that he has no rules on what goes in there. You’ve got sequinned mini skirts next to permanently dirt-stained overalls next to rainbow bucket hats. This guy has it all.

He does sometimes wear a red sweater, but I am going to say something controversial here, guys. Look at that man's shirt. Look at that cleavage view. He’s wearing a v-neck

Okay so hybrid headcanons. I have several, mutually exclusive ideas here, but I will go with one I think is, frankly, very underutilised: gryphon hybrid Grian!

Want avian Grian for all of the historically present bird coding? Also want to acknowledge the fact that he has so much mischievous cat energy? Gryphon Grian! He’s half bird, half cat, half human, and all menace.

There are a couple of different bird species I think he could be.

House sparrow, for the noise levels, the tendency to travel in a pack, and the sheer gremlin energy these little bastards exhibit outside of my kitchen window on a daily basis.

I think he could definitely be some kind of corvid too. Maybe a magpie? Beautiful plumage (fight me), incredibly intelligent and likely to make that your problem, and with a call that lends itself very well to Grian’s screech-laughter

You all know my opinions on potoo Grian. It works, okay? Look into his horrible, haunted eyes, you know it to be true.

For a season 10 fisherman arc Grian I am very much leaning towards an oriental darter. There’s just something about the idea of Grian spearfishing for mending books, and sulking in the sun to dry his wings when he only catches fish that I enjoy very much

Okay so wings talk time! I headcanon that naturally avians simply do not have wings strong enough to fly with. They’re too short, and even for someone like Grian who flies A Lot the musculature to support a humanoid frame just isn’t there. That said, elytra are easily modified to function as a sort of wing extension/prosthetic, that allows them to gain much more power for less energy expended.

You would think, with me being the owner of three cats, that I would have some kind of idea for a specific breed of cat he might be. The thing is, my family have historically always kept the same breed (Norwegian forest cat mix c: ), so I know very much about those and no other cat breeds. He is simply cat :)

Big post with a whole bunch of species headcanons! Not every character is here and some headcanons have more detail than others simply because I happened to have more ideas for those

First I want to say that in my headcanon, avians and bird hybrids are different things. While hybrids (in general) are a mix of different species with any combination of traits, avians are pretty uniform in what kind of bird traits they have, and in general avians are genetically more similar to each other than random birds hybrids are to each other. With that out of the way-

Grian is a parrot avian, and he has a ton of vocal stims, from whistling and singing to mimicking noises he hears.

Martyn is a parrot hybrid, and he loooves to do silly voices and mimick creeper hisses

Gem became an anglerfish sea monster of sorts thanks to the water in Hermitcraft. The same happened to Mumbo (catfish) and Grian (cod). And also False but I don't know what kind of fish fits her </3

Pearl is also a fish, but in a different way. She's a salmon that can shapeshift into a human (or any mix between fish and human, like a mermaid)

In Secret Life, Gem had the great idea to replace her eye with an eye of ender. She became some sort of end portal creature. Nobody else has ever seen anything like it and frankly, they're scared. But Gem thinks that it's standard for a universe so full of horror

Skizz is an angel, and angels are soulless! This is why he wasn't in Double Life, the soulbound mechanic didn't work with him.

Another angel is Zedaph, he's a sheep/angel hybrid. He has a weird half-soul thing going on but it's fine really.

Zedaph prefers not to fly long distances if he can avoid it, because long ago he hurt his wings badly and he has chronic pain now

Impulse is a demon, and while demons can usually fly, his wings are underdeveloped and can't get him off the ground. He uses elytra instead.

Scar is another winged elytra user. He's a vex and vexes can fly, but it's painful for him to use his wings

Scar is an actual vex like like the ones evokers summon, and he uses some sort of vex magic to appear hybrid-like. His true form is a little vex guy.

Cub is a human turned vex, and his hybrid-like appearance is his true form. He can look fully human if he wants to, but not fully vex

Xisuma is a voidwalker. Voidwalkers are beings that form very rarely when particles and soul fragments lost to the void come together and become conscious. They're the only beings that can survive in the deepest part of the void

Voidwalkers are so rare that most of them live their whole lives without finding another living being, especially because they don't tend to leave the bottom of the void.

Because voidwalkers spend their whole lives in complete darkness, their eyes aren't super well developed. Xisuma's vision is blurry, he has visual snow, and he's very sensitive to light. His helmet actually filters out a lot of light so it doesn't give him a headache

His helmet also helps him breathe. Voidwalkers are not made for high pressure atmospheres

Etho is a phantom hybrid. He's allergic to cats and also the sun. He needs very little sleep. His silver hair is not a species trait, it's dyed

^that's a Hermitcraft-only headcanon. I see him as a silverfish in the Life series, for no particular reason. The silver hair is a species trait in that case

Bdubs is a glare hybrid, being scared of the dark is part of his glare instincts. The moss coat isn't part of him but I'm sure he could be mossy if he wanted to. He can probably fit inside a moss block

Tango is a blaze hybrid. Or a blazeborn? I imagine it's a similar situation to avians and bird hybrids but I haven't put that much thought into this one. And both blazeborn and blaze hybrid can be shortened to blaze anyways

She can't get burned, and water hurts him. Water breathing negates water damage

His flame naturally burns orange, but it can be other colors depending on what she's using as fuel. For example, the blue Dungeon Master look comes from burning soul sand

Her body temperature also depends on fuel. Normal, orange Tango freezes very easily, but blue Tango's body temperature is so high that he doesn't even feel the cold

He has tritanopia, as do all netherborns. There's only really two colors in the nether so beings from there didn't evolve the ability to see more than that

She can hover, which he uses mostly to break her fall and do big jumps

Because she can't touch water (without potions at least), he takes soul sand baths like a chinchilla. Yes, this makes him blue for a while

Season 1

Pixl: Watchers are not some big bad evil Gods, but astral spirits watching over the worlds. As they See everything, they are often linked to the Vigil (as well as people given the gift of prophecy)

The life symbol was added after his alliance with Joey

Joel: A terracotta statue given life from the Mother Tree, he's flesh and bones (because magic), but him (and all the Mezalea habitants) returned to their statue form when Joel died of grief.

He does have other clothes to work in, but you're practically never going to see him in those.

Some other Mezalea headcanons

Jimmy: Most witches come from the swamp, and he's one of them. They specialize in potions and talismans.

Hair are important to codfolks, the act of brushing or braiding them are used in certain spells, thus why most codfolks don't have short hair.

His appearance is also more wild looking than before because of his slow transformation into a God.

The Cod Alliance gifted each other jewelries to remind and protect each others.

Pearl: Similarly to Mythland, they see physical activities and fights as important (mostly for work but also protect themselves from ennemies).

I. don't have anything from Shrub I'm sorry I didn't watch her and I don't know her lore very well

Gem: Gem and fWhip grew up together to be wizards in the Crystal Cliffs, pressured to be perfect by their elders. Gem turned out to be naturally talented at magic, so everything rested on her shoulders.

She still keeps a lot of her strict education, but tries to make a change in the stressful wizard society.

She has a ring to represent the WRA (and another for magic channeling), and lots of scars from magic experiments.

Hair and the Geminitays

Wizards vs Witches (again, but it's important for Gem and fWhip lore)

fWhip: As said in the posted linked above, fWhip failed the wizard exams (he doesn't have any magical powers) and ran away in the newly founded Grimlands. His ingenuousness made him Count of the Grimlands. The Grimlands do not do magic. They mix science, engineering and alchemy instead. Symbols similar to sigils (or those of alchemy) are often seen engraved in their creations.

The deepslate corruption gave him wings, but they were not strong enough to fly so he has prosthetics to help him fly

He's actually quite clumsy, and ended up with lots of scars, and a missing hand:

Joey: (clearer design of his crown, made to ressemble the pharmacy snake thingie)

He bleaches his own hair.

He bleeds gold, and his scars are golden as well from his over use of Totems of Undying

Him being an avian allowed him a easy access to the Lost Empire. He wears the Ocelot print to look a bit more like its habitants.

Also his spit has healing properties.

Sausage: Mythland and Magic

Blood sheeps are sacred, but also feared, thus the fur to protect the citizens a bit from them.

Sausage lost his eyes when sparring with fWhip when younger. fWhip made him the eye prosthesis, and Gem enchanted it. May or may not have become corrupted in the whole Xornoth thing so they did another one for him.

Scott: I surprisingly do not have much for him. His cape can turn into wings. He stopped being able to do that when his ice powers showed up because they froze.

Very strict haircut, elves must be tidy and proper all the time.

Lizzie: She adapted rather well to her transformation, mostly changed her clothes for better swimming. Joel jokingly made her a bracelet to replace her now too small ring "in case she grows again", but she wears it seriously.

S2 Joel has very similar clothes to her because of faint memories.

Katherine: Yeah I fucked and forgot to color her inking, she was supposed to look like this (I noticed too late and never bothered to correct it)

Katherine has this whole "I want to be friends with everyone" that I associate with lambs, thus her ears and hooves. She's a fae with some weird morals.

SEASON 2

I have wayyy less for season 2, especially for the empires themselves.

fWhip: Goblins are direct descendants from the Grimlands (and a few from Crystall Cliffs), that hid underground after the explosion. They kept digging and exploring the caves until they found a place to settle. The green skin, cat like paws and eyes are from them adapting to living in caves.

Food is very important to them, they eat several times a day, and often have banquets. They also kept the Grimlands technique of blacksmithing, but adapted it for gold.

Jimmy: Yeehaw he's a cowboy. Not much to say ngl, I do headcanon him as a werewolf depending on the day.

Tumble Town heard cows, but also creepers (where do you think they get that gunpowder from!!) (headcanon from @doodleshrimpsad). Also, cats are sacred there

Pixl: He's got some magical and futuristic technology making him able to see builds and events from the past.

Got some knees problems, thus the cane. It has sigils on it that he wrote himself based of books from old times (I'm thinking they're sigils from the Cod Empire and the Grimlands)

I desperatly need to think about more about Pixandria, and how tf David (or at least a newer version of it) arrived at the Ancient City.

Joel: Yeah he got top surgery and got a cool tattoo of laurels, but he also bleeds gold and his scars are golden. God don't bow to human rules anyway.

The braid come from a habit he can't doesn't remember getting. it feels important.

Lower Stratos got a lot of rituals, prayers and offering but I haven't figured those out exactly. Just know that I associate s2 Joel with Dionysus a lot so expect similar stuff /sweats/

False: I have literally no idea what's going in her empire, and even less in her lore. The hp name put me off so. Idk. Cool clocks. She got a prosthetic leg.

Sausage: I haven't gotten to his lore part of his videos so idk his backstory. But he does have a cape that ressemble parrot wings because jungle, animals yadda yadda

Scott: He was actually due a redesign that I haven't gotten to yet so.

The outfit I've drawn him in that lineup is an everyday look, while the costume is for empires meeting or exploring.

Oli: Silly bard, his hat has faling strings that reminded me of floppy bunny ears and I thought it was cute. He bleaches his hair.

Got a lot of magic in his songs, people often stops by at his Kingdom just to hear sing and dance. They're a bit hypnotic and people seem to feel better afterwards.

Katherine: That's her monster hunter clothes. She still wants to keep it cute so pink skirt it is. That would be her normal clothes (it's like reverse magical girl, her poofy dress is her everyday dress)

Shelby: I do not have much for her (again), but I can link my Wizard vs Witches post again because it has my headcanons of why witches have academies now.

After all the complicated spells, she likes to do simple fashion magic. Tying a knot or a bow is to seal a spell, so she uses them a lot to do some simple protection spells on her clothes.

Pirate Joe: He's wearing lots of stolen jewelries, some may be enchanted, some may be cursed. Who knows? Not him.

The gold earring come from that belief among pirates that having a golden earrings gives you a better eyesight ( it's from a acupuncture point, and for some, wearing gold in the proper pierced place would help your eyesight).

Katherine did that braid in his hair, and Joe (like cod folks and crystal cliffs habitants), believes that braiding someone's hair means they will fall in love with you.

Gem: I'll have to link back that link about Hair and Geminitays as it got everything I got for her. She sometimes fight with Katherine about hair and its importance. My start of headcanons kinda got crushed because she's linked to hc Gem so idk what to do with her or her kingdom anymore.

Lizzie: She's got her mask to hide her cat face, but her bow is actually a charm hiding her other cat features. The mask is just to be sure.

so which characters do you personally headcanon to be winged avians?

Honestly, mostly just Jimmy, Grian, Wels, and False; Jimmy being a canary, Grian a scarlet macaw, Wels a perigrine falcon, and False a red-tailed hawk.

The other naturally winged species I have is fairies/fae (fairies being a type of fae), which work a lot of different ways since they’re more magical I think, and the only ones I have for being some manner of fae 100% of the time are Lizzie (she’s technically fae, but to use dnd terms she’s more like a god who decided when losing followers or dying to— instead of just dying— trade her traditional divinity to become arch fae.) and Stress, who is a regular children’s-tale-style fairy (which is the subspecies what Lizzie mimics in order to not draw attention of be hunted or shit.)

For other characters species, I actually have a number of very specific headcanons! I’ll put ‘em below the cut though since that’s not what the original question was about

Gem is half elf and half a different elf! Part wood elf and part high elf, with characteristics of both. Currently she’s got a fish thing going on that honestly might be a curse or mutation or something? It wasn’t like that before

Scar is a full wood elf, but didn’t know about it until the beginning of season 9, as he wasn’t raised as an elf and I like to think his ears didn’t grow in until the time he and the rest of Boatem were floating in the void. Elf’s ears are quite long and wood elves specifically can swivel them, but they don’t reach their full size until a while into adulthood and small but pointed ears are incredibly common among players and few are completely human. Scar was raised presumably by Vex? Or in the zombie apocalypse? Nobody’s sure but it wasn’t by elves, he reconnected with that in s9.

Martyn is a half elf, specifically high elf + human

Scott is a full high elf

And Bdubs is 1/4 wood elf, 1/2 halfling (hobbit), and 1/4 human. Occupationally/class wise, he’s a Druid, not to be mixed up with “dryad” which is a species (and not bdubs.)

And moving away from the elves my Joel is a nymph, which is essentially a tree person? But more humanoid than a dryad, which is a tree that is kinda person-y. Joel is more of a person that’s a bit like a tree. I like to think he can turn into a tree sometimes (azalea of course, though for a while I thought maybe Willow? Cherry would also be fitting for s10 but I don’t like having them switch species within what’s technically the same world) and he was born from a tree (and he’s transgender because in legends nymphs are all women, but he said fuck that.)

Pearl WAS human, or the default-humanoid-player species as it were, but got bitten by Ren during double life and turned into a wolfwalker (a piece of Irish folklore; somebody who’s a human while they’re awake and become a wolf when they sleep. They’re human body stays asleep and they form a new one with magic to be the wolf body.)

Etho also WAS human-adjacent, and was turned into a wolfwalker YEARS ago, long before hermitcraft

Ren has been a wolfwalker his whole life, he was born as one

To elaborate on Lizzie and Stress more, the term “fae” is pretty broad, it covers things like folklore fairies, wolfwalkers, nymphs, Allay and Vex, and honestly quite an assortment of other things. There are quite a number of fae creatures that are entirely unique and don’t technically belong to a “subspecies” as well, because fae are just sort of weird like that. It’s a very loose category of being, basically. Anyways Stress is what most would consider a very typical European-style fairytale fairy (with the exception of being human-size) and they’re a pretty common type of fae, they’re related to Allay and Vex, and there are theories that they are an ancestor species to modern-day moth and butterfly (and other flying insect) hybrids, though none have been definitively proven.

Lizzie, as I mentioned above, used to be a goddess. Gods can only fully die when they have no followers left, and when that happens their bodies are essentially sent frozen to another plane to float in space. (THANK YOU Fantasy High for this one, I’ve had vauge ideas for a while and the way Spire is structured helped me figure it out. Go watch Fantasy High basically.) ANYWAYS if a god is in direct danger of that happening they can choose to let go of a portion of their power and become fae-aligned, basically demoting themselves and moving a bit to the left, in order to not die when they lose the last of their followers. So Lizzie is like a demigoddess-but-a-bit-to-the-left, but arch fae are very highly sought after foes for a number of reasons, so what she’s done is essentially disguised herself as the same sort of common fairy as Stress in order to avoid that!

(Also, I’m currently thinking that Gem’s recent sea-monster curse is a side effect of starting to accidentally worship a half-dead god?? Gem doesn’t know she’s doing it, but the universe does I guess. And Lizzie’s domain as a god was DEFINITELY connected to the sea ;D )

Finally, we’ve got simple mob/animal hybrids, off the top of my head there’s Zed (sheep) XB (Gaurdian) Beef (cow) and Doc (creeper+goat+robot+butterfly now, apparently.) I’ve probably got more but idk.

And other than that I don’t think I have any specific headcanons for anyone else? I know I kinda rambled past what your question was but I’ve been cooking some of these up for a while and I wanted to share :D

For some people it's color of their eyes, for others - hair, or some markings on skin, or some, uh, modifications(crystals, color of feathers, plants)? Idk it's minecraft skins I work with what I can

First it's a frame from my "It took me by surprise" animatic and here you could see some of my headcanons. The most obv one is vines-herbs-grass-flowers growing out of her hair. For different Life goes different type of flora. Also patches of different skins(?).

He is an Avian in my headcanons but I wanted to give him something more than just wings as I see in different headcanons of different talanted artists. Claws for feet it is! Also little ear-wings just looks nice imo

When dealing with bird-like legs (or any other hybrid legs) you have to think of a good piece of clothing that would be appropriate, comfortable and that it should look nice. Idk if I managed to achieve it (tbf it's a sketch ref) but overall it looks well-put, it's easy to draw and I think it should be comfy. At least I hope so!

For his Life indicator I've chosen colors of his, uh, under-feathers?? I'm sorry I don't have the correct anatomical name for them and words in general are not my tea but I hope you all can see what I'm talking about

That design was in mind for Life Series only and I used it for post-Ep1 of Limited Life animatic but he decided to change his skin in Limited Life Ep2 and I just cope with it bc for the love of me I couldn't figure how leather jacket could work with all that

Hello hello lovely Blueie, I bring more Scarian thoughts as I procrastinate my physics homework <3

Thinking about Scar's eyes glowing whenever he feels a strong emotion because of his vex blood. The usual possessive nature that thrums through his blood lights up his eyes (literally) to a soft glow whenever he's by his friends or hugging Jellie, but lately people have been noticing it's being majorly directed at one hermit in particular. Need a light but you're out of torches? Move Grian into Scar's line of sight and put on some sunglasses.

Scar doesn't even realize it on a conscious level... Subconsciously he's been maybe getting a little unsettled whenever Grian isn't close by. Scar thinks he's just been in a more sociable mood and Grian is so much fun to be around! Of course he's a little sad the other builder is working on his projects instead of hanging out with him! So Scar starts to check in on his good friend Grian more often, bringing food and little gifts over to his house.

Grian, well aware that Something is going on with Scar because glowing vex eyes are hard to hide from the person they are dialed up to 10 for, is a mix of concerned friend and very pleased avian. Scar is coming over again and his eyes are glowing?? But he brought gifts!! Many shinies and food. The bird brain is very pleased with these courting gifts. The player part of his brain is beating the bird brain back with a stick because Scar is just a good friend who doesn't know that he's basically proposed a dozen times over in the amount and quality of gifts he gives Grian every week.

The other hermits eventually stage an intervention for the two. They probably get shoved into a closet somewhere lol. When they come out a couple, the months long betting pool is finally resolved. Pearl won.

Even after they get together, Scar's eyes still shine brightest for Grian.

dfkljagdfhl I've always headcanoned that the vex in Scar makes his eyes glow when feeling overwhelming amounts of emotions, or while using the magic. Or when he just.. lets the vex side kinda over take him lmao I love this SO much. I just love that it'll glow extra brightly because he is around Grian. because he loves Grian sm and it effects him- The hermits would so shove them into a room together and lock all ways out until they come out FINALLY in a relationship

You know, to be honest, I think Maya is the only woman out of the entire AA cast that I ship Simon with romantically. With all the other ladies, I imagine that it’d just stay platonic friendship, if they even cross paths enough as it is. So here’s a list of all the women I imagine would befriend Simon Blackquill, and how I’d describe their interactions.

Ema Skye: Exchanges of snarky comments and in general just bitching about anything that comes to their mind, often while investigating cases. They’ll sometimes roast each other as well. He’s probably one of the few who doesn’t get assaulted by flying snackoos (Other than Miles and Sebastian). Also reminiscing the happy times they had with their older sisters.

Trucy Wright: It’s impossible to not befriend Trucy (Well, unless you’re Roger Retinz). Simon is no exception to this rule. He’s genuinely surprised when she manages to pull out Taka from her magic panties without him noticing his friend was even absent. Then after seeing that she has an interest in learning swordplay for her shows, he offers her lessons. Somehow it escalates into a couple of LARPs. They just have fun together, often at Apollo and/or Athena’s expense. He ends up joining the Trucy protection squad (Founded by Apollo and Mr Wright, of course).

Pearl Fey: Despite the two of them being very different in backgrounds, personalities, and how they view the world, they share a sense of comradery from wanting to protect those closest to them. (I headcanon that Pearl learned how to defend herself after the events of T&T, so she could protect her friends) So they trade tips and methods, as well as their fondest memories of their loved ones.

Kay Faraday: She’s one of the few on this list who knew him before his conviction, so they go back. When they’re not too busy with interrogations or investigations, they’ll usually talk about the craziness that’s been happening in the legal world. Sometimes they’ll nerd out about Japanese mythology, or avian biology.

Juniper Woods: Another of the few who knew him before, though she hadn't really seen him as mych as Athena has in the past. Given how the first time they met in seven years was when Simon had almost indicted Junie for muder, it started out a little awkward between them. But with their shared love of fauna, and having Athena as their friend in common, they're able to make it work. Most of their conversations are really pleasant, with the occasional jab at their friends.

Robin Newman: Fellow prosecutors meeting up to take down criminals! Well, I don't think they'd meet up that often outside of work, but he might advice her on how to deal with liars in court. "Just don't yell too loudly or you'll make Athena go deaf." "And then you'll kick my ass?" "If she doesn't do it first, then yes."

Rayfa Padma Khura’in: Trading insults as if they're playing badminton. Apollo in the background regretting that he left these two in the same room. Simon laughing every time Rayfa uses her favorite insult towards someone.

And because I believe it’s important I know exactly how they’d be friends... Maya Fey: Exchanging crazy court stories that both they and their friends have experienced over the years, with Simon slowly getting more and more baffled at learning just exactly how much Phoenix has survived over the years. Her dragging him along to whatever crazy adventure she’s about to go on next, with him making no objections.

Yay!! Here's my nonhuman headcanons for everyone I watch!

Mumbo is an android! He's completely human-passing, he tends to do things the 'human way' (building things instead of modifying himself), and he has never ever mentioned that he's a robot, so everyone thinks that he's a really weird human. He does not know of human concepts like 'fear of death'. Nobody understands why he never got redstone poisoning despite his complete lack of PPE. It's just because he's not organic

Grian is a parrot avian ofc but he also gained cod-like traits when he started spending more time near the ocean. It happens

Gem was human at the start of the season, but she's an anglerfish hybrid now! Same reason as Grian

Doc being a creeper goat cyborg thing is canon so I'll share a little hc on his cybernetic enhancements. He can detect redstone signals! It allows him to locate problems with his machines without having to look around, saves a lot of time. A side effect of this is that he knows that Mumbo is an android because he can detect his redstone!

Etho is a phantom hybrid! He needs very little sleep and he still manages to be sleep deprived. He doesn't use fire res potions to protect himself from the sun, instead he wears his clothes over his wings. He says that it works perfectly, so why would he change it?

Tango. blaze. we all know this one. He doesn't take any special precautions around water. In fact, he forgets that water is a thing until it starts raining and then he screams really loud about it

Pearl is a shapeshifting salmon! She enjoys her human form, but she will correct anyone who calls her a human because she's actually a fish

Joel is a moth hybrid. Yes, he does like lights. Just look at his base!

Well Cub being a vex isn't exactly a headcanon is it. Specifically I hc that he used to be human and became a vex later on, while Scar was born a vex! (the cannibalism is unrelated to this. there's just something wrong with him)
