Meian Shūgo
The hardworking captain meet you by accident, you ran into him and you were so nervous that you apologized in Spanish
And he just asked your phone number right there
He thinks your eyes are so expressive, your hair looks so soft, and your lips, those lips that curved on a shy smile, he wants to taste them
Was love at first sight for him, you actually put him in the friendzone for a while because he is so captured by work that he missed a couple of dates
When he finally got you to date him, he loves to hear you sing in Spanish
His favourite morning routine is doing breakfast with you because sometimes you both make a traditional Japanese breakfast and sometimes is from your country
Blushes hard when you sway your hips against him while sing Spanish on his hear
Tumblr media
Inunaki Shion
He meet you on an interview, he's an English speaker so the interview was very easy for you
When he was done he asked for your contact to watch the interview later
But the sneaky libero was actually making an excuse to talk to you again, so after s few months he started to tease you in Japanese and as a payback you did it on Spanish
And he was thrilled! Never knew someone so bold, he enjoys the cultural exchange
When you moved to Japan he was quick to help you out, and that's where he confesses
Now his favourite thing to do is watching you dance while cooking
He asked you to give him a pet name in Spanish, so when you call him "corazón" (heart) he gives you his undivided attention always
Tumblr media
Adriah Thomas
He has good boy vibes, look at him, he's an enthusiastic and friendly guy!
He saw you struggling with some papers on your way to talk to the coach and he was quick to help
Told you to not worry, he can speak English, but when the coach called you by your last name he grew curious because doesn't sound like English
So he starts to ask questions and after months leads you to a very healthy relationship
He actually started to learn Spanish in case you decide to take him to your country
Likes when you help him with his Spanish tests and asks for kisses every time he gets a decent score
Totally melts when you praise him on Spanish, he's quick to praise back and call you "bonita" (pretty)
Tumblr media
Osamu Miya
You are one of his employees, you and your friend actually, you both came from y/c (your country)
Cultural barrier engaged, since you and your friend are from a country were you say hi before giving a kiss was his favourite thing about you both
But specially from you, because let's be honest, he has a crush on you, he likes to hear you laugh and the way you bump your hips on his while teasing him
So now it's official he makes your country food whenever you feel home sick
He likes to hear you speak Spanish, actually asked you what is your favourite pet name so he can call you that
To be honest this guy googled ingredients and traduced them to Spanish just to call you "calabaza"(pumpkin) "zanahoria"(carrot) or even "Mani"(peanut) when he feels humourous
His favourite thing of your life together is hearing you talk in Spanish, for an unknown reason turns him on
Thanks for reading 🐨✨💖

fandom: haikyuu!! rating: teens pairings: atsumu/hinata, thomas/inunaki, gen stuff characters: the entire msby black jackal starting lineup, but with a heavy narrative focus on meian notes: quarantine fic, stuck in a mountain lodge fic, quarantined in a mountain lodge fic, ensemble dynamics
Nature is healing, the birds are returning, and Miya Atsumu is setting the kitchen on fire.
ao3 mirror
Every evening at six, they have the Animal Crossing debate.
“So,” begins Atsumu. He raps the whiteboard he stole from the hidden walk-in closet. He makes eye contact with each of them in turn except for Inunaki and Thomas and Sakusa, because Inunaki is asleep on Thomas’ shoulder and Thomas is having an existential crisis and Sakusa is studying his nails.
“So,” Shouyou parrots back. Shouyou is the only reason the Animal Crossing debate hasn’t devolved into an Animal Crossing dictatorship. He leans forward in his seat, brushing elbows with Bokuto who is distracted. Bokuto’s Skype hasn’t been working properly all day.
Feeling validated, Atsumu clears his throat. He gestures at the contents of the whiteboard which include his obscene monthly paycheck and Raymond and a list of every online gaming store in Japan.
“Today’s question.” He pauses for dramatic effect. “Should I spend a hundred thousand yen—“”
“—Objection your stupid honor, no—” Sakusa.
“—On the Animal Crossing switch which comes with a tempered glass screen protector and the Animal Crossing pouch and the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game and a laminated mini-poster of Raymond or should I—”
Thomas nudges Shuugo’s shoulder. “Is he actually sleeping,” he whispers frantically.
Shuugo glances over at Inunaki. He’s jammed into the side of Thomas' sweater and crunching something imaginary between his teeth. He doesn’t look like he’s thinking of killing someone or thinking of killing someone.
“Yes,” Shuugo whispers back.
“—and destroy the garden,” Atsumu concludes.
The sound of something creaking above them. Bokuto thinks there’s a ghost haunting the attic. Shuugo thinks it might actually be Bokuto haunting the attic. He is simply unaware of the possibility.
“No,” Shouyou says brightly.
“Yes,” Bokuto says distractedly.
Atsumu begins to lean against the whiteboard in an unconscious bid to look like he has everything under control. “What.”
“Don’t destroy the garden and don’t buy the switch,” Shouyou clarifies.
Doubt flashes across Atsumu’s face even though Shouyou has said no to him every single day this week and last week and the week before that as well. Sakusa has produced a nail filer and is filing his nails in his corner of the sofa. Inunaki’s eyes are wide open and he’s looking at Thomas like he wants to kiss him or kill him. Thomas is looking at Shuugo like he wants to kill him.
“Meian-san.”
“Shouyou.”
“Atsumu.” Shouyou is the only reason Atsumu is still sane and also the only reason Atsumu is not quite sane anymore but sort of just dragging himself through each day with his face on the floor.
Sakusa has begun to file the sofa. Atsumu’s whiteboard slides three meters to the left, yanking him off-balance with it. Bokuto gives his phone a half-hearted shake and it bounces harmlessly off Thomas’ shoulder. Inunaki hisses at him.
Atsumu tries again, “is this about the garden or is it about the Animal Crossing. Hey, Shouyou. Are you listening.”
“Where are you going, Meian-san?” Shouyou asks, serene as a Buddha.
“To the bathroom,” Shuugo says after a pause, and then heads up the stairs and locks himself in his room and plays Candy Crush on his phone until he falls asleep.
::
The lodge was initially Shouyou’s idea. His mother’s friend’s uncle owned a lodge at the base of Mount Fuji and while they usually would have rented it out to AirBNB guests at this time of the year, the website had recently been banned in Japan due to transparency issues and they were good law-abiding citizens, so they stopped. Since they had the space anyway, they said to Shouyou’s mother over tea and rice crackers, would her son be interested in spending a few weeks in the mountains? Of course, there would be a generous discount.
So Shouyou said yes but only discovered later, as he had not thought to ask, that the lodge was not the size of a 2LDK apartment but a small castle. There were six bedrooms and eight bathrooms and a large industry-grade kitchen that contained three bread machines and a brick kiln. There was a barbecue pit in the backyard. They discovered an ouija board presumably left behind by previous inhabitants, Shouyou texted all of them about it over the weekend, and so the deal was done.
Shouyou would go because he liked the mountains and resonated with them spiritually, having cycled up and down one for most of his high school career. Atsumu would go because Shouyou was going. Bokuto would go because two of his friends were going and Sakusa would go because he was promised his own room and two bathrooms, and he was interested in the ouija board. Inunaki would go because he liked mountains despite being the emotional equivalent of a volcano, and Thomas would go because he was still caught in the middle of their fucked-up courtship ritual that had been going on for years now. Shuugo was hired as parental supervision. The Black Jackals could not afford to have their starting lineup incapacitated in the mountains before the next season began.
Naturally this all took place in early March, before the entire situation devolved into mass hysteria and toilet paper shortages and nature’s attempt to reclaim the gacha machines from mankind or whatever. When they arrived at the lodge COVID-19 was only on Sakusa’s mind, because Sakusa read the news religiously. It was also occasionally on Atsumu’s mind, as Atsumu was prone to bouts of sudden and sustained anxiety. However, every time Atsumu made eye contact with Shouyou the matter would be expelled from his mind as a ball, hit out of the ballpark, lands in some deserted parking lot several cities away. So Shuugo figured they would be all right.
Then, of course, they were extremely not all right. But by then all the local supermarket ladies had already fallen in love with Thomas and his cashmere sweaters and his smile. Surely they wouldn’t let them go back down the side of the mountain without trying to tear off a limb. Or two. Or twelve. So they stayed.
::
On Friday, Atsumu breaks the washing machine. He claims it broke by itself and that he was simply pressing buttons like a good Japanese citizen but Sakusa later extracts the truth from him, which is that he bodyslammed the washing machine before he tried pressing buttons like a good Japanese citizen. Which makes him a shitty fucking Japanese citizen, said Sakusa. Anyway all the buttons he pressed were the wrong ones, so it wouldn’t have made a difference. Shouyou calls his mother’s friend’s uncle to apologize for the washing machine in the evening and he doesn’t seem that bothered. It was turning twenty-five this year, apparently, which made it an immortal god of a washing machine. Someone would have had to put it in its place eventually.
They don’t tell Atsumu that he broke the twenty-five-year-old washing machine though, because Sakusa’s mad about having to hand-wash all their clothes from now on. Additionally, Atsumu seems to be experiencing emotions in relation to the washing machine as he doesn’t host the Animal Crossing Debate for the first time since they got stuck here, and goes to sulk in Shouyou’s room instead.
Shuugo knocks on Shouyou’s door after dinner, meaning to check on him and make sure Atsumu hasn’t ripped a hole through the bedroom wall that Shouyou shares with Bokuto. He’s a little concerned but not too concerned. There are sounds coming from behind the door, which means that he still has at least one spiker or one setter.
He sticks his head inside. He sticks his head back outside.
He regrets everything.
“Meian-san,” Atsumu says several moments later, fully-clothed and experiencing even more emotions than he had been experiencing when he first found out about the washing machine.
“No.”
“...I’m sorry.”
Shuugo doesn’t have it in him to meet his eyes. He passes along Sakusa’s message with less bite than Sakusa had probably intended, and then goes to the kitchen to look for a drink.

“What do you mean you finished all the peach purunto.”
“Uh.” Thomas stares at his feet. He stares at the ant presumably crawling on the floor beside his feet. He stares at Shuugo, who is watching him from the big sofa in the living room and drinking a pouch of grape purunto. “Um,” he repeats in a slightly higher-pitched voice.
Shuugo salutes him for good luck and Thomas' shoulder twitches in response. He can’t make any big movements now or Inunaki will be startled and then try to kill him. This has been the state of affairs between them for a while now, since the Izakaya in December where a waiter tried to take Thomas home and Inunaki almost set their private room on fire.
“I’m sorry,” he tries.
The truth is Thomas doesn’t even like peach purunto. He likes grape purunto because he thinks the peach-flavored stuff doesn’t taste artificial enough. Everyone on the team knows this except for Inunaki, who Thomas has been engaging in a fucked-up courtship ritual for the last fifty-nine years. Everyone also knows that Shuugo and Bokuto have been stealing things from the fridge after midnight and not Thomas, who sleeps like a newborn baby placed in subzero temperatures and thus retires to bed early every night. But Thomas isn’t in a position to tell Inunaki anything.
That being said, neither is Shuugo. Shuugo squeezes the plastic pouch dry. He props his arms up on the back of the sofa, chewing peacefully on the last of his konnyaku, while Inunaki approaches Thomas and Thomas approaches the counter.
Thomas makes a sound when his hip bumps into the drawer. “Sorry,” he says again on instinct. Oh Thomas, Shuugo thinks wistfully.
Inunaki stares up at him. Shuugo can’t see his expression but he can picture it perfectly in his mind. It’s the same expression Inunaki wears when he’s about to receive a nasty serve. It’s the same expression Inunaki wears when he’s deciding what drink to get from the vending machine outside the gym.
“Peach purunto is my favorite.”
“I know.” Thomas does know. Poor guy. Shuugo sends him another prayer.
“So what.”
“What?”
Inunaki’s voice almost cracks here, as if he were the one being cornered and not the one actually doing the cornering: “Am I not your favorite?”
Thomas' knees give out. He slides to the floor. The two of them vanish behind the kitchen counter in a dramatic moment full of romantic tension and fear.
“Is that allowed?” he asks in a voice so high-pitched and breathy and small it probably wouldn’t register on a decibel meter or the Richter scale.
“Do you like me or do you not?”
Shuugo flops silently back onto the sofa and rolls to the ground, excusing himself from the room. He doesn’t need to watch this part.
::
Or maybe he should have because apparently Thomas said no out of embarrassment and Inunaki flipped him off and stole the third button off his shirt and now there’s a problem. Thomas takes a swig of his shochu mixed with grape purunto. “There’s a problem, Meian-san,” he says miserably. “I only have one good shirt. And now I look like a gravure model.”“Because of the button?”
Another swig. “The button is enough.”
Downstairs Bokuto is talking to Akaashi the shounen manga editor on Skype or at least trying to. Upstairs Sakusa is ransacking the hidden walk-in closet for more cleaning supplies. Last Shuugo checked, Atsumu’s room was empty. Shouyou’s was not. Shuugo is never sticking his head into anything without acquiring firm vocal confirmation of his safety ever again.
“Where is Inunaki-san anyway?” Thomas looks right through him to the other side of the world where he is probably having the time of his life in Paris.
Shuugo thinks about it. He sips at his peach purunto.
“The backyard?”
::
The story goes that they all wound up in a lodge the size of a small castle at the base of Mount Fuji but then the world blew itself up and everyone got sick. Their supervisors decided, talking anxiously to Shuugo over the phone, that it would actually be better for the Black Jackals’ starting lineup to hang out in the lodge until this whole thing blew over. Was that possible? Please, Meian-san? Please?
Meian Shuugo, being completely defenseless against the word please, immediately turned to Shouyou. Shouyou, being completely defenseless as a general state of being, called up his mother’s friend’s uncle and offered them a generous portion of his obscene paycheck. And Atsumu’s obscene paycheck. And all their paychecks, actually.
Of course you can stay, they said over tea and rice crackers that could not be seen but could be heard over the crackling speaker of Shouyou’s Nokia phone. We don’t really want to go up there ourselves right now anyway, what with the cruise ship and the epidemic and everything.
Thanks, said Shouyou. In the background Sakusa was making Atsumu sign a contract to stop using Sakusa’s second bathroom.
Are you sure you’ll be okay, Shouyou’s mother’s friend’s uncle added as an afterthought.
Shouyou laughed brilliantly and confidently into the receiver.
“Don’t worry, Kishimoto-san,” he said. “We’ll be fine.”
::
Bokuto video calls Akaashi the shounen manga editor every night. They’re boyfriends, so this makes sense. What doesn’t make sense to Shuugo is that Bokuto conducts these video calls in the living room. He has either not discovered the wall socket in his room or decided that he is above it. He has also either not discovered that Akaashi, his shounen manga editor boyfriend, is very busy, or has decided to ignore the fact entirely.
They don’t use Zoom because Akaashi the shounen manga editor has qualms about private user information and where his is going. But Akaashi doesn’t seem to say anything during any of their calls anyway, so no one’s really sure why Bokuto bothers calling to begin with. Is Akaashi the shounen manga editor even real? Is Bokuto imagining things the way he is the ghost haunting the attic? One time Shuugo walked past the sofa while Bokuto was on it. His laptop screen was blank.
“Akaashi,” Bokuto says, stretching the ‘a’ like a piece of taffy formed from several pieces of taffy stuck together.
“...About the ghost in the attic...”
“...Tsum-tsum broke the washing machine...”
“...I think his name is Jonathan...”
Shuugo gives Bokuto one last glance before leaving the living room with his chips. Who the hell is Jonathan? Who is Bokuto talking to? Today, as well, the mystery remains unsolved.

They all find it unnerving that Atsumu politely agrees to do the dishes for the next two weeks as emotional compensation for breaking the washing machine. They find it unnerving that Atsumu doesn’t snap back when Sakusa declares that he is inferior to business majors over dinner on Tuesday. They’re all so busy being generally unnerved that it doesn’t occur to them that Miya Atsumu may have other plans that have temporarily deterred him from being an asshole, such as being an asshole at a later date.
“GONNA TAKE MY HORSE TO THE—”
“SHUT THE FUCK UP.”
“ —OLD TOWN ROAD—”
“WHAT’S HAPPENING BOKUTO-SAN?”
“RIDE TIL I CAN’T—”
“MEIAN-SAN.”
“THOMAS?”
“ATSUMU.”
Silence. Atsumu turns to look at them. “Shouyou!”
“Atsumu!” Shouyou takes a step towards Atsumu from behind the sofa, where the rest of them are gathered like one’s online shopping information hides behind a firewall. He holds his hands up in front of him, palms out, to indicate non-aggression. “What are you doing?”
“I’m washing the dishes,” says Atsumu, who has clearly given up on washing the dishes.
“And what are those?”
“Portable speakers. Found ‘em in the hidden walk-in closet.”
Shouyou tries to get closer but Atsumu holds up the kitchen hose like a knife and waves it at him. Every decent industry-grade kitchen comes with two meters of kitchen hose these days. It’s a necessary self-defense tactic.
“Come any closer and I’ll hose you. Even if you’re Shouyou.”
“Do you not love me?” Shouyou asks, heartbroken, probably.
“Does he really love him?” Sakusa comments from behind the sofa firewall.
Thomas and Sakusa exchange a look of equal parts horror and indifference.
“I love you,” Atsumu says, blissfully unaware of Sakusa Kiyoomi’s general existence at this time. He is in Clear Pain. The hose is trembling in his hand and Shuugo fears suddenly that he may let go of it. The water being emptied at breakneck speed into the sink can be dealt with later. If it decides to empty itself in another direction, they will need more than a sofa to save them.
“But I,” Atsumu lowers the hose, shuts the water off. His hands are still soapy and there’s an odd, unhinged look in his eyes. “I can’t wash the dishes in silence.”
Shouyou takes three steps forward. “Why?”
“Well, I mean.” Atsumu tilts his head to one side like a serial killer in a serial killer movie does in the moments before they jump the main character’s best friend who is dictated by cultural tradition to be the first to die. Or maybe Atsumu is the main character’s best friend. Or maybe Atsumu doesn’t watch any serial killer movies.
He tilts his head to the other side quietly.
“It’s boring?”
::
They let him keep the portable speakers.
::
Shuugo calls his wife and kids on Skype every other night. On every other other night he wanders around the lodge like a ghost until the early hours of the morning, thinking about unresolved high school conflicts and the next V League season and his grandparents up in Hokkaido. Sometimes he checks the attic for ghosts. Usually he doesn’t. He’s confident he’ll find Bokuto there one day.
“Why don’t you just come back?” his wife asked, the first time they Skyped. He had to explain that he trusted his wife with all his heart when it came to looking after herself and their kids. But, and Shuugo said this earnestly and passionately, he didn’t trust a single member of the MSBY Black Jackals to look after themselves, except maybe Barnes, who was not present. They were professional volleyball players, not professional adults. No one ever really becomes a professional adult.
“This is a good chance for them to learn,” his wife commented, patting the top of Kenta’s head like a buzzer in a gameshow, but more gently.
Shuugo shrugged. “This is a major historical event. They’ll learn some other time.”
Kenta pushed himself up into the camera and said something indistinguishable. It was about Doraemon or the cockroach infestation episode of Gintama and Shuugo wasn’t sure which. He waved back at his eldest son. His eldest son nodded gravely and was buzzered back into his mother’s lap.
“Say bye to daddy, Kenta.”
“Insect repellent.”
“Love you too, kid.”
Tonight is one of those long, sleepless nights. Shuugo ducks into the hidden walk-in closet to see what’s been stolen this week, makes a note of who to yell at the next day, and ducks back out before he can meet anyone he doesn’t want to meet. He checks the toilet paper reserves. He spends an hour lying on the sofa in the living room by himself, scrolling through photos of his family and his dog. His wife sends them every day except for Thursday when she has to catch the live simulcast of her favorite drama on NHK. Kenta looks like he’s managing; Kohki, less so. But then and again, Kohki is three.
He dozes off on the sofa. In his dreams he’s fifteen again and everything sucks except for volleyball, which he doesn’t suck at, which he’s the best at. There’s a boy he thinks he might be in love with but first he wants to get a popsicle from the corner store. Wait a minute, he tells the boy. I’ll be right back. He runs to the corner store and buys his popsicle and runs back to the place where he had promised to meet the boy and it feels like no time has passed at all. Maybe three seconds, maybe three years. But the boy isn’t there anymore. The sun is setting. The street is empty, and there’s a volleyball bouncing by itself at the far end of it, silhouetted in red and orange and gray.
In the morning he’s awoken by yelling from three different directions and the smell of something burning. It’s unbearably, saccharinely sweet so it must be Atsumu again, perhaps with the help and passionate support of Inunaki. The time on the clock reads something fifty-two and he can’t be bothered to squint harder. It doesn’t really matter. Sun’s up anyway.
“MEIAN-SAN.”
He clears his throat. “COMING.”
He sighs, shakes the cramps out of his shoulders, and heads off to save his kids. The ridiculously tall and fast and powerful ones with the impulse control of a flock of mature geese. The ones who play volleyball.
::
Inunaki wants to go grocery shopping. This is not news as everyone generally wants to go grocery shopping, barring Atsumu who has been living in a bubble of sustained anxiety since they got here and is only maintaining his sanity because of Old Town Road and Hinata Shouyou. But this week Inunaki seems particularly agitated about it. He starts the morning off by trying to make sourdough and destroys the first bread machine. He gets pissed about that and destroys the second bread machine. He pulls down the giant projector screen in front of the sofa and blasts K-ON at full volume all afternoon while Sakusa tries to film a skincare tutorial and Bokuto tries to nap and the whole house smells like sourdough starter. Shuugo almost regrets drinking his peach purunto. No, he chides himself. You will not regret what cannot be changed. Like peach purunto and sake parties. Like sake parties.
In contrast Thomas has always seemed the most hinged of the lot, though recently Shuugo has been approaching the astronomical revelation that this may in fact be a false impression created to lure you into trusting him with your life. After all, borderline-nonexistent impulse control is an entry requirement for all members of the MSBY Black Jackals except for Barnes, who is not present. Every once in a while Shuugo catches Thomas staring off in Inunaki’s vague direction like a chicken stares at a smaller chicken. It worries him.
Through the combined efforts of Shouyou, Bokuto, and Atsumu, they trap Inunaki in Sakusa’s second bathroom without Sakusa’s knowledge and convince him to watch a purunto infomercial on Sakusa’s laptop, also borrowed without his knowledge. The infomercial is something like ten minutes long. It’s a contingency measure arranged by Sakusa several days ago. If you need to stop Inunaki-san, he said last Friday or Monday or perhaps Sunday, dabbing at his cheeks with pore cleanser while Shuugo leaned against the doorway of his first bathroom and played Candy Crush. Then use this.
So they use it. Inunaki is successfully eclipsed from the equation and Thomas and Shuugo haul ass to the old Toyota parked outside and while Sakusa dreams of whatever Sakusa is capable of dreaming of, like clean oyster shells and hand sanitizer commercials probably, they drive down the side of the mountain to the supermarket.
::
Meian Shuugo grew up in a prefecture just outside of Tokyo. It was the kind of bland suburban neighborhood that wasn’t particularly interesting and contained only three convenience stores, located next to the police station, behind the police station, and several hundred meters away from the police station beside the supermarket. By extension, the supermarket Meian Shuugo grew up with was not particularly interesting either. It had all of the aisles a supermarket was expected to have but it didn’t have a playground for kids or a box television for kids or a giant stuffed Pikachu in the candy aisle. Shuugo, being a kid for most of his childhood, was unimpressed.
The supermarket in the town located half an hour shy of their lodge reminds him, acutely, of his unimpressive youth. He walks through the sliding glass doors and is assaulted with upbeat music, chatter, crying babies. Perhaps in another life he was born in this town and grew up bounding up the side of a mountain, doing mountain-child things like chasing beetles and building rafts to float down the creeks that were embedded in its face. Perhaps in another life he grew up the exact same person.
Thomas hands him a list, then goes to grab a shopping cart. They work methodically; Shuugo reads out Thomas’ neat, Sharpied-in handwriting and Thomas grabs things from the aisle at record speeds. Shuugo wonders, this week as well, if Thomas is secretly telepathic.
“Toilet paper, the eight-pack.”
“Got it.”
No, he corrects himself. If Thomas were telepathic he would not have said no to Inunaki, who clearly wants to resolve the conflict they launched in the Izakaya last December even if his actions seem to say otherwise. Thomas hauls the toilet paper off the highest shelf and deposits it, with care, in their cart. Thomas the shopping cart chauffeur. Thomas the good guy.
“You’re a good guy, you know,” Shuugo says seriously. There’s not much left on their list; eggs, sake, dried seaweed sheets for Atsumu who has recently added it to his collection of coping mechanisms he picked off of self-care articles on Buzzfeed.
Thomas the shopping cart chauffeur turns to look at him. “I am?”
“Course you are.” Shuugo squats down in front of the chocolate section. His hand hovers over the thin row of plastic Chocobaby’s. It’s Kenta’s favorite.
Thomas laughs quietly. “Inunaki-san doesn’t seem to think so.”
If he buys the Chocobaby he’s sure Thomas won’t call him out for it. But Atsumu might, if he gets jumpy enough and his brain decides to latch onto it. And Sakusa definitely will. And even if neither of those things happen, who will eat it?
Shuugo sighs. “No, Thomas,” he says, stands up, brushes off the front of his pants. He grabs a bag of mini M&Ms resolutely, dumps it in their cart. “He does.”
“He does?” Adriah Thomas, twenty-eight this year and six-foot-seven, tall enough to strike fear in the hearts of most modern modes of transport including the Boeing 377, looks at him quizzically.
“You’re surprisingly dense, Thomas.” Shuugo takes over his chauffeur service for the time being and wheels their cart down the aisle towards the frozen goods section. His starting lineup may not be fond of tiny unimpressive chocolate pellets but he knows for a fact that ice cream will make the next week that much more bearable. “Maybe that’s how you got this far in life.”
“What does that mean, Meian-san?”
“C’mon. Let’s get more peach purunto.”

It starts pouring just a little shy of four in the morning on Saturday. Ordinarily one would be awake to witness this but they’ve been stuck up here for four weeks now, or maybe five, or maybe twenty-seven. No one sleeps when they’re expected to anymore except for Sakusa, who has packed enough moisturizing face masks to last him through the second coming of Christ.
So it starts raining and then the wind starts screaming and the windows start yelling and Shuugo is in the kitchen pouring himself something like his seventh cup of sake with sparkling fuji apple juice when Atsumu shows up at the end of the hallway in a giant pink quilt.
“Meian-san,” he croaks.
“Morning,” Shuugo says cheerfully, toasting him from the kitchen counter.
“It’s raining.”
“Yes.”
“It’s thundering.”
“Yes.”
“I can’t sleep.”
Shuugo sets his glass down. He combs a hand through his hair and cringes. When was the last time he showered? Yes. No? He removes himself from the kitchen, steps out into the dim orange light of the living room. Atsumu has designer eye bags and designer eye bags beneath his designer eye bags. The kid looks like he’s been through hell. Or had a nightmare about it. Or had a nightmare about something else, like a pandemic or Raymond from Animal Crossing or breaking up with his boyfriend in the middle of a pandemic while still being without Raymond from Animal Crossing.
Shuugo wipes his hand off on his shirt and clears his throat. “What can I do for you?”
::
The lodge is fucking huge. That was the first thought Shuugo had when they’d finally finished lugging all their shit up the side of the mountain and Thomas’ old Toyota had been parked in the clearing outside and Sakusa and Atsumu were arguing loudly about optimal bathtub water temperatures just beyond the front door. Seriously, Shuugo mused, craning his neck, this lodge is fucking huge. The living room was not a living room so much as it was a giant open space with a vaulted, three-storey ceiling and spiraling staircases that led off on each side to narrower, but equally majestic, hallways. Carved into the eastern wall of the first floor was a large, industry-grade kitchen which contained a walk-in fridge and a brick kiln. In the center of the floor was a floral sofa.
They argued over whether the space that the sofa, and the accompanying automated projector screen and thirty-nine succulents, occupied should be called a living room at all. This went on for the first few days. In the interim Shouyou and Thomas explored the kitchen and Atsumu explored setting the kitchen on fire. Atsumu also explored the door at the end of the northern hallway on the third floor, and discovered the hidden walk-in closet that probably hadn’t been opened since the economic bubble burst in the early 90s. Bokuto explored the attic above the third floor via a trap-door in the ceiling and declared that it was haunted. Inunaki drank peach purunto. Sakusa found a hornet's nest in the woods nearby and tried to bring it back.
They never did get to have the full-blown debate about whether the sofa space should be called a living room, because by the start of the second week or the third or maybe the tenth, maybe the eighteenth, the world had stumbled backwards into the figurative hornet's nest of life itself. It emerged from the immediate aftermath covered in burns and uglier burns and violent, angry scrapes. As China began to pull itself together by the seams its neighbors both immediate and distantly-related began to show symptoms, keeling over in the dystopian-movie-dust.
Come April, they were all in the thick of it. Of what, you ask? No one knew. But they sure were.
::
There’s something about rain and nighttime that demands your attention. Shut away in your highrise apartments and your suburban houses, your grandmother’s old Japanese-style estate; shut away at home with the lights on and the world off, the world cordoned out; the rain is the only thing that reaches you. The sound of it. The pitter-patter. The footsteps.
Meian Shuugo invites the rain to shut the fuck up as he herds his starting setter to the sofa. Atsumu has been going through it for a while now. They all know this, the way they know he talks to his twin on Zoom some nights because he doesn’t care for private user information and what happens to his. However, no one mentions it because unlike Bokuto, Atsumu has discovered the wall socket in his room, and decided to use it.
“Shouyou’s asleep,” Atsumu explains and for the hundredth time or maybe the thousandth, he doesn’t think numbers are real anymore, Shuugo marvels at how tenderly he says Shouyou’s name. If someone had said his name like that when he was twenty-three Shuugo would have driven off immediately and bought them a ring or challenged them to a Beyblade fight. He wonders if Shouyou will do either of those things one day. If he’ll get the chance to.
Shuugo hums. The star of the lodge, beyond the brick kiln with the unidentifiable bones and the thirty-eight succulents, is the chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceiling. Usually it’s bright as ass but it’s raining outside today and it’s four, so they’ve got the lighting mode set to Orange And Moody. Which, Shuugo gathers, seems to be the correct setting.
Atsumu opens his mouth, still wrapped up in the giant pink quilt that he probably stole from the hidden walk-in closet. “I’m being an asshole right now, aren’t I?” he asks, uncharacteristically quiet.
“Not right now right now, if that’s what you’re talking about—”
“—Meian-san.” Atsumu is unimpressed and he shows it too much. If he wants to look unimpressed he should look dimly unimpressed or at most vaguely unimpressed, or he’ll come off as being over-invested in the whole affair. Granted, the kid’s always been bad at handling his emotions. But this is a moment of what Shuugo recognizes to be shaky vulnerability. Even for Miya Atsumu.
Shuugo smiles. “Yeah?”
“That’s not funny.” Atsumu sinks further into the sofa, vanishing between two very large floral cushions.
No, Shuugo has half a mind to say. You’re not very funny. I try not to tell you that because Sakusa says it enough for all of us but really, most of your jokes suck.
“Well,” Shuugo says instead, thoughtful. “What does being an asshole mean to you?”
“Uh. An inconvenience?”
“What does the current situation look like to you?”
“An inconvenience?”
Shuugo claps his hands together and then winces in very quick succession. If he’s judging this right then there’s a high chance Inunaki’s still awake thinking about the Izakaya they went to last December, and Bokuto might still be in the attic. He should stop.
“That’s right,” says Shuugo, not stopping. “If being an asshole is about being an inconvenience then the whole world’s being inconvenienced right now. In general. Does this look like optimal functioning to you?” He gestures broadly around him and hopes that Atsumu doesn’t think he’s pointing at the thirty-eight succulents.
“Because it isn’t. Everyone’s tired, Atsumu. Everyone wants things to start getting better.
“So given that we’re basically living in the asshole of the universe right now, I don’t think you’re being an asshole. Do I wish you’d stop listening to Old Town Road while doing the dishes? Yes. But do I wish Thomas and Inunaki would stop pretending they never want to see each other’s faces again off-court like the two main leads in a Korean drama? Yes. Do I wish I were at home right now in Tokyo with Mai and Kenta and Kohki? Of course.
“But no one gives a damn about what I want in the asshole of the universe. So no one gives a damn about you either.” Shuugo reaches for his sake. “What I’m trying to say is: buy your switch.”
He takes a sip of his sparkling fuji apple sake thing. He’s good at holding his liquor but the alcohol’s loosened his tongue and the rain isn’t letting up and it’s late or it’s early, depending on who you ask. Depending on who you are, and what you’re afraid of. He wonders if Atsumu’s still thinking about the thirty-eight succulents. The thirty-ninth has been missing for a few weeks now. No one knows for how long exactly. Time, remember?
Atsumu furrows his brows. He seems to be thinking very intently about something. Shuugo hopes it’s the fate of the universe.
“So, the Animal Crossing edition,” he says slowly, the color returning to his cheeks. “Do you think I should get that one?”
Around them the rain continues to fall. Every once in a while a bolt of lightning comes within an arm’s breadth of their tiny sanctuary away from the world and the toilet paper shortages and all the suffering and cruelty and unfairness. It lands at their feet. Light erupts from the ground like a star splitting in half and sticks to their faces, their hands, their teeth. For half a second, the interior of the lodge turns so white, it almost blinds them.
::
Shuugo wakes up at five in the evening on the sofa. His toes aren’t frozen solid the way they were the last time he fell asleep on the sofa. He sits up. Something pink and fluffy slides off his chest.
Inunaki is yelling at Thomas from the second floor. They’ve made an error in the toilet paper calculations, or someone’s used up all eight rolls in a week, or both. Inunaki’s disappointed and upset and he wants to get out of the bathroom. And he wants to talk about the Izakaya incident. And he wants a peach purunto.
Shuugo scrubs the heel of his hand down his face. He stretches his arms over his head. Then he rolls off the sofa with the quilt still drawn tight around his shoulders like a cape. And so begins another day in the life of Meian Shuugo, father and husband and professional volleyball player, and motivational speaker, and friend.
::
A conversation between Shouyou and Atsumu, as overheard by Bokuto who was taking a really big dump in (Sakusa’s bathroom) (but don’t tell him that) (no one tell Sakusa anything no really I will sic my ghost on you):
(Shouyou, I have something to tell you.)
(Let me guess. You ordered the switch.)
(Huh????? How the fuck do you know I ordered the switch.)
(You talked to Meian-san, didn’t you?)
(What the fuck. Are you telepathic?)
(No, Atsumu. I’m your boyfriend.)
::
A conversation between Thomas and Inunaki, as overheard by Atsumu who was hiding from his demons in (Sakusa’s bathroom) (who the fuck owns a bathroom anyway) (this is a communal household) (I am not hiding from my demons I am engaged in an act of civil protest):
(Inunaki-san.)
(I know you’re not the one who finished all the peach purunto.)
(Oh. Okay.)
::
In a surprising twist of events Sakusa has not only brought enough moisturizing face masks to last him until the second coming of Christ, but also stashed a metric fuckton of toilet paper in his second bathroom.
“I knew you would disappoint us some day,” he says neutrally to Thomas, who goes off to cry in front of the barbecue pit for twenty minutes.
“It was partially my fault too,” Shuugo says, feeling apologetic for some reason.
Sakusa watches Thomas go with the face of a merciless, unsmiling god. “But mainly his.”
In spite of the hornet's nest he tried to bring back in the first week, Sakusa consents to the public use of his second bathroom. He deletes the contract he made Atsumu sign that had previously prevented him from legally entering, but refuses to let them port the twenty-four toilet paper rolls jammed under his sink to any of the other bathrooms. It’s a personal thing, he says while peeling his third milk honey face mask of the day off with his fingertips. Who are they to complain? It’s his toilet paper.
Regardless, the toilet paper doesn’t grant him immunity from Meian Shuugo, who despite his stunning alcohol consumption record is in fact still the parental supervision figure in this household. This gives Shuugo certain rights such as the right to walk into rooms without knocking, though he’s decided to stop doing that and become a better person, and the right to use the barbecue pit after ten. Also, if he says they’re going to have a Ghibli movie night, they’re going to have a Ghibli movie night.
They have the Ghibli movie night. On Sunday. Or Friday. Or whatever. Whatever. They have it.
When Shuugo was a kid his family would sit on their ugly living room couch and watch Ghibli movies together instead of working through their disagreements with transparency and care. This is partially why Shuugo was not a kid for as long as most kids, but he can tell you exactly which scene comes after the fat cat in The Cat Returns gets stuck in the giant vat of pink Jell-o. He can also tell you, with full confidence, that Ghibli movies will do things to you. What kind of things, you ask? Does it matter?
Once again, they head into the hidden walk-in closet on the third floor and return with piles of blankets, quilts, and a bag of Calbee chips without an expiry date. On the way out Shuugo notices shuffling from above him and discovers, for the first and hopefully last time in his life, Bokuto Koutarou in the attic having a serious conversation with an owl.
“His name is Aka,” says Bokuto.
“Very sly of you,” says Shuugo. “I’m not going to ask why there’s an owl up here.”
“He only visits sometimes.”
“Okay. Great.”
Bokuto follows him downstairs. Shuugo picks a feather out of his hair and wonders if this is what zookeepers feel like. They collect Sakusa from his bedroom after peeling off twelve honey-and-lavender face masks, and make a stop at Thomas' room. The door creaks open after a few seconds and Inunaki sticks his head out. His hair is tousled and his eyes are puffy.
“What do you want,” he says.
“We’re having a movie night.” Shuugo resists the urge to pat his head. He may be turning thirty this year but sometimes he feels like he’s eighty-five and everyone else on his team is four and he has to do something to make sure they grow up right.
Inunaki follows him and Sakusa and Bokuto down the stairs and Thomas sneaks out of the room afterwards when he thinks no one is looking. They are actually all looking and rightfully so, seeing as it is Thomas’ room they just stopped by and Inunaki should not have been there at all. But no one says anything. Thomas tip-toes down the stairs in all his Boeing 377 glory. Inunaki goes to the fridge.
Shouyou and Atsumu have returned from the hidden walk-in closet and have started building a fort in front of the projector screen. The process consists of Atsumu lying face-down on the floor, motionless, while Shouyou throws things with a hardness rating of less than five at him: a blanket, a stuffed Pikachu, a bolster.
“What movie are we starting with,” Atsumu asks.
Shuugo salutes him from the kitchen even though Atsumu can’t see him. “Princess Mononoke.”
Atsumu lifts his head for a moment and stares past the floor-to-ceiling window to the other side of the world, where he is having the time of his life in Florence.
“Good,” he says. Then Shouyou throws a slightly larger stuffed Pikachu at him, and he disappears from sight.
::
In Atsumu’s words, everything sucks like fucking shit. In Sakusa’s words, everything’s piss-awful. In Thomas' words everything is sort of unbearable and in Inunaki’s words where is the peach purunto. In Bokuto’s words Akaashi the shounen manga editor is more stressed than the entirety of Japan combined and needs some time to himself. In Shuugo’s words, ew. Ew, ew, ew.
“Ew,” Atsumu says when the mountain god’s head gets decapitated and the screen fills up with the blue liquid-y stuff that mountain gods are apparently made of. Inunaki gives him a look that’s so utterly and completely disgusted that Atsumu excuses himself from being Shouyou’s armrest and stands up.
“You wanna fight, Inunaki-san? You wanna fight?”
Inunaki does not detach himself from Thomas’ cashmere sweater. “No.”
“Atsumu, I can’t see the screen,” Shouyou says sleepily, and Atsumu’s expression does a one-eighty off a cliff and dies.
“Oh. Sorry.”
It’s three in the morning by the time they get to the fifth movie. Or is it six? Shuugo decides it doesn’t matter and then pulls a fast one on all of them by putting in Grave of the Fireflies which, Sakusa complains, is too dry for this time of the year. In spite of that, Sakusa is the only one who manages to watch it from start to finish, his eyes glued to the screen while he files his nails discreetly in his corner of the sofa. Beside him Inunaki has fallen asleep against Thomas’ shoulder and Thomas has fallen asleep against the headrest, Sakusa having pushed him gingerly off of him half an hour ago. Bokuto is snoring loudly with his face in Inunaki’s armpit. Beside Bokuto Atsumu is asleep with his head in Shouyou’s lap, and Shouyou is mumbling something incoherently about rice.
Meian Shuugo reaches for the remote control and turns the projector off.
“You should go to sleep too,” he tells Sakusa. He reaches for the blankets and begins to drape them carefully over the sofa in criss-crossing patterns.
Sakusa yawns. “When do you think this will end.”
Shuugo shrugs. “Eventually.”
Sakusa inclines his head, then stands up and stretches. “Thank you for everything you’ve done for us.” He collects his belongings from the coffee table and goes to the kitchen for water.
“No, thank you for the toilet paper.”
“Self-preservation skills. You learn them early on in life when you’re me.”
::
They stop having the Animal Crossing Debate because Atsumu’s switch arrives next week, delivered by a courier in an inflatable T-Rex costume who says he’s here on god’s business. But they keep going with the whiteboard and the six p.m. discussions and everyone jammed up on the big sofa in the living room. It still doesn’t feel like a living room and the lodge still feels like a castle, complete with ghosts and unidentifiable bones and the ouija board Sakusa’s smuggled away to his room. But when they roll up all the curtains, the floor-to-ceiling windows start communicating with god or something, and the sun does a cool break-and-enter routine that ends in fireworks. Everything it touches goes up in flames. It’s kind of beautiful.
“Today’s question.” Thomas raps the whiteboard they stole from the hidden walk-in closet weakly. “Should we have spaghetti for dinner?”
Atsumu looks up from his switch, and Shouyou follows. “Did you read my tweet?”
“Atsumu. I follow you on Twitter.”
“Oh.” Atsumu looks back down at his switch. On Shouyou’s insistence he’s recently downloaded Kirby Star Allies. He is surprisingly into it.
Inunaki raises his hand. “Objection your honor,” he says. “I don’t think we should have spaghetti for dinner because it sucks.”
Thomas makes a face at him. It doesn’t really work because he’s six-foot-seven and wearing a Victorian suit he found in the hidden walk-in closet, but apparently it works for Inunaki, who repeats, with more conviction, “it sucks.”
“It does not suck,” Thomas insists. He begins to lean against the whiteboard in an unconscious bid to look like he’s not emotionally affected by Inunaki’s words.
“Can we have rice,” Sakusa says. “We’re Japanese.”
“I’m not Japanese.”
“You’re Inunaki’s boyfriend. Honorary Japanese.”
“I don’t think that’s how it works.”
“Sure it is,” says Bokuto, who is back to texting Akaashi for the time being instead of calling him on Skype. He now carries a power bank and a cable with him everywhere. To the bathroom. To the barbecue pit. To the woods.
“Why don’t we have both?” Shouyou suggests. Shouyou is the literal and metaphorical light of their lives right now, although Sakusa would be hard-pressed to admit it unless they gave him another bathroom. Shouyou also comes up with some of the most god-awful ideas sometimes. Like inviting everyone to a lodge in the mountains during the off-season and getting them trapped in a major historical event. Like trying to live each day to the best of his ability as if he’s Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled and not twenty-three and severely, inhumanely sleep-deprived. He still wakes up at five-thirty every morning. Shuugo asked him about it once. He said he needed the time to meditate.
“Why don’t you just meditate later?” Shuugo went on, hanging over the back of the sofa and watching Shouyou channel his inner Buddha of peace for something like the third time that week. The sun had not yet risen but it was beginning to put in efforts towards it. A thin strip of gold ran horizontally between the land and the sky, dividing them in jagged and uneven strokes.
“It’s not the same,” Shouyou said, exhaling through his mouth, eyes closed. Shuugo wondered briefly if he was bothering him, then figured that Shouyou would tell him if he was.
“I need to be awake each morning to make sure the world’s still there. To say good morning.”
Shuugo picked idly at the upholstery. “What happens if you aren’t there?”
“Who knows,” Shouyou laughed, brilliantly and confidently, and in that moment Shuugo understood for the first time in his life how he alone had not succumbed to the timeless insanity of quarantine. Perhaps in another life Shouyou had been born tall and powerful and with the kind of instinct and skill that Kageyama Tobio carried around on his shoulders all day. In this one, he had seen the second coming of Christ once already, and built himself a new skin in its wake.
It was the routines. The morning meditation and the rolled eggs and the five-hour-nap in Atsumu’s room. The evening runs through the woods and the card games at night. It was Atsumu’s Animal Crossing Debate and the chaos that always followed, the chaos that generally followed the MSBY Black Jackals everywhere they went, as if they had been born into incredulity and outrageousness and passion. Passion for their sport. Passion for life itself.
They aren’t professional adults. No one ever becomes a professional adult. They try to be professional siblings and children and lovers, professional commuters and pastry chefs and shopping cart pushers. They try to leave their suburban neighborhoods and the boys they never get to see again behind. They try to be kind to themselves, even as the world begins to slide resolutely off a cliff.
And they fail. And everything sucks. And everything’s sort of unbearable right now. Even Sakusa has stopped checking his phone religiously. They’d rather watch Grave of the Fireflies ten more times than put on NHK news.
So ew. Ew at the present state of the universe. Ew at Shuugo’s hair. Ew at the amount of money Atsumu spent on his Animal Crossing switch which came with a tempered glass screen protector and the Animal Crossing pouch and the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game and a laminated mini-poster of Raymond.
And fine. Because what else can they do now but shut up and keep going? If there’s a God up there he’s definitely laughing at them with his hands full of nail clippers and clean surgical masks and health, cash, all the forgiveness the world needs right now. He’s probably making coffee as they run themselves into the ground, as they run their rivers dry.
So everything’s been going to shit for a while now. You’d think they’d get used to it, but they still haven’t. Which is to say that they’re still angry enough to fall in love and expect something to happen. Which is to say that they haven't given up on their dream of finding a ghost in the hidden walk-in closet. Which is to say that, in spite of the toilet paper shortages and the hornet's nest and the weepy sake parties, all the fucking weepy sake parties, there’s hope.
::
Are you sure you’ll be okay?
(The sound of rain, laughter, a ball hitting the ground.)
Don’t worry. We’ll be fine.

length: 1.8k
tw — gangbang, slight bondage (beginning), exhibitionism/voyeurism, double penetration in two holes, belly bulge, creampie, facial, overstimulation
a/n: nothing else but porn ;; no plot. at all </33
Tumblr media
you’re chained up, hands tied above your head. hinata enters your cage to prepare you—he’s on rotation today—and when he does, he gets a feel of your breasts, the plush flesh that molds nicely beneath his trembling hands.
his hands quickly retracts though, once he hears the door slam open behind him. atsumu walks in and makes his way straight to you, and sakusa is only a few steps behind, shooting the youngest member an impatient look.
the blonde starts kissing you, pulling at your lower lip, teeth clacking wetly as you are effectively woken up. your nipples rub on his chest as you mewl into his mouth. when atsumu manages to pull back, sakusa immediately leans forward to take your nipple into his mouth. your head falls forward, chest jerking at how his lips sink into the soft skin as he sucks.
he swiftly stops any attempt to restrain himself, pulling out his cock to fuck into his fist as he watches how you thrust out your hips to rut against atsumu’s fingers.
he doesn’t even realize when bokuto saunters in, twirling a key in his hand, a bright grin gleaming on his face.
soon enough, the chains fall with loud clangs on the floor but nobody seems to mind. the next moment, you’re filled to the brim, so fucking full, your hole is stretched wide, to the very limit but fuck it’s just the right side of painful, your aching body already leaving your drowsy mind behind, bucking and desperate for more, just a little more.
bokuto delivers, thick cock in your ass, swelling, catching on your sensitive rim with each slip outwards, and the push back in... hinata knows you must feel like you’re in fucking heaven with the way your face is locked in an obscene look.
atsumu grips at your hips. fingers pressing onto your skin, moans dropping low and eyes lustful behind hooded lids. he fucks into you, hips bucking up to a halt when he feels you squirming, you helplessly flailing around with nowhere to turn to.
hinata doesn’t waste any time and scramble to you, hands back where they were earlier, squeezing your tits and pulling on your nipples, sighing in satisfaction before you feel his hot mouth sucking on it.
you fall apart at all the feelings—compounded—the gaping of your pussy, the ache in your ass, the thick swollen feeling leaving you obscenely open and wet, fuck. and you cum, with atsumu balls deep inside you, your mouth disconnected from sakusa’s for a wide scream, bokuto’s cock relentlessly twitching inside your ass.
out of the corner of his eyes, you see meian approaching, voicing in disbelief, “already?”
you can’t really process the word, your body and mind feel about as tender as your holes. meian takes one look at the the big warm cocks sliding into you, slick dripping down the insides of your thighs; you really hope he’ll grant you a rest.
“was she even prepped?” he chuckles to others but it feels as if he’s rumbling it against your ear, never motioning for them to stop.
“she is now,” bokuto grunts his quick reply before biting down on your shoulders, cupping his other hand over your jaw and the side of your neck in a tender show of affection.
he does not seem to require any real answer anyway. he is humming low and happy as if they had given him a whole-hearted answer, and starts to move his hand on his cock in a slow twisting motion to the ruined gape of your hole.
you don’t notice when the rest came in. you don’t even notice when atsumu slips out of you. you wouldn’t be able to get a word in even if you had been able to speak. you can barely feel it when bokuto breathes a long, satisfied exhale, breath tickling your ear and the small hairs on your nape.
his hips are fucking marginally faster now, slapping against your backside. you are vaguely aware of the swell of meian’s cock, but it feels impossibly huge this time when you’re taking their cocks in all your holes. they really must be stretching you out.
meian suddenly grunts and rears his head up, shifting and moving until he is grabbing you by the hips and driving into you so hard that you can’t help but hiccup with every bone rattling thrust.
with bokuto’s hands pressing indents on your thighs and meian’s on your hips, you can’t struggle, their arms keep you tightly contained. meian is moving slowly, but there is no preparation needed; just his tapered, fever hot cock slip-sliding deeper and deeper as he keep nudging his way in until your belly is visibly bulging.
they leave you reeling as you are gasping for breath with every thrust inside your body that has your pussy burning, insides bearing down, squeezing against the intrusion.
your belly is hot as if meian’s thrusts are filling you with magma, hot and molten. it feels like bokuto’s cock is sliding in impossibly deep and rearranging all your insides, and you are helpless but to accept it.
hinata falls back on his knees, his fist fucking his cock in a pace faster than before, nearly losing everything from the sight of the bulge in your abdomen alone. that your intestines have conformed, if just for the moment.
bokuto comes with a loud grunt, as you feel hot ropes of his cum spurting inside your ass. your head has sunken back some time ago, a weak moan spilling from your throat. you can feel the mess sticky on your lower body. your own and atsumu’s cum practically pushed out of you by meian’s cock.
“such pretty hole,” you hear barnes’ voice as he leans in to nip at your earlobe playfully. he hovers at your rim before slowly easing the head of his dick in, inch by inch.
he is big, easily filling you up, especially with how your hole is already full from bokuto’s tireless endeavor. he has to slide in very slowly until he could feel his stomach pressing up against your ass. he can hear you choke when he hits a spot inside you.
it takes him a little while, but once he gets the hang of a suitable tempo, he begins to move faster, wanting more friction with every grunt and moan. your eyes are clenched shut, away from meian’s intense eyes that proves to fuel his drive as he pounds your pussy.
you’re whimpering as you feel the tension building inside his stomach, crawling through your body and squeezing your lungs as you start to feel your orgasm coming in a huge wave again. meian is moving faster and faster, filthy words leaving his lips to urge you to come again.
your holes feel so raw and sensitive from the abuse; it’s as if your body is on fire as you orgasm again. you can’t feel anything, not even barnes’ faltering behind you, hear his hitched and broken moans. soon enough, you feel warmth filling your insides, layering every inch of your holes. there’s so much cum slipping out of your holes, wetting the floor.
when you come to, your bleary eyes that are trying to refocus, catch the sight of hinata, stroking his own cock then, panting as he thrusts into his fist to reach that climax so he so desperately craves. adriah is on the side, and he bends down to wipe the drool from your face, tucking your hair out of your face.
hinata comes into your view again, takes his cock and strokes it himself. there are stars of wonder in your eyes as you watch the throbbing red of his cock, the head pulsing with need, before it shoots out strings of white across your pretty face.
inunaki immediately lurches forward, hands easily gliding all over your body with the mixture of sweat and cum. he’s careful not to dip his hands between your thighs first, seeing as your pussy is still humping around nothing in the air. he’ll take his time, seeing as it’s his turn next.
you look tired. disoriented, he supposes. but your lips form an 'o’ when you see sakusa settling next to your face, hand fiercely pumping his cock, brows furrowed in desperation, eyes intense at the sight of your cum-painted face. you try your best to open your mouth wider, sticking your tongue out to get as much of his as possible.
while adriah encourages you in his praises, sakusa groans at how beautiful you look as cum continues to pour out of his cock onto your face.
they won’t let you rest, though.
your tongue is lolling out, chest still heaving in your poor attempt to catch your breath, but you also cannot fight adriah as he nudges his way between your thighs. he ambles closer when he sees your fingers white knuckling against the ground, and he gently brushes his fingertips over the back of your hand as he starts to nudge at your chin until he has access to his throat.
he is as gentle as could be, huge body moving slow, slippery cock sliding against the insides of your thighs to leave cooling smears of pre-cum behind.
and in no time, adriah has got you flipped onto your belly and settles your body above his, his slick helping to guide his long girth into your twitching hole as he fucks up into you, your cheeks pressed against his chest. you’re laying there limp save for the sudden jerks and occasional twitches, your only active thoughts are merely the need and the overwhelming knowledge that there is a warm cock in your pussy that needs to be stuffed and filled.
still, you wince when you feel the another cock pushing against your aching ass yet again. your rim is already raw from fucking; inunaki thinks the cum bokuto and barnes left in there is enough and simply rams into you sloppily.
you want to scream, the pain moving through your body like a heat wave. your thighs are shaking. your insides are protesting. you’re not made to do this marathon fucking, but…
they all know you’re enjoying this; you’re easily addicted to these thrills after all.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
pairings: MSBY x fem! athletic trainer
“So look me in the eyes. Tell me what you see.”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
from @inunakisthigh
“Have you ever ‘purposely’ aimed your serve on your teammates?”
Sakusa: No, why would I?
"that's a lie."
Sakusa: fine, there was one time, it was during one of our games with Alders. He drank from my water bottle that time and I was really pissed at him.
Atsumu: What?! I just drank it on accident!
Sakusa: Aren’t you curious if my water bottle smells and taste like alcohol? You even played rock, paper, scissors with Hinata and Bokuto to decide who will drink it?
“That’s the last question for today, thank you for your hard work, Miki-san.” she bowed, thanking the expert.
“We aren’t done yet (Name)-san!” Hinata beamed, a sinister grin appeared in his lips. This raised a red flag in the back of her head. Uh-oh, I don’t like this atmosphere.
“Come on (Name)-san! It’ll be fun!” Bokuto encouraged her, she just sweatdrop at his enthusiasm. Nothing fun will come from this. She find the eyes of the coach and about to get help but she saw the smile she was giving her. Urging her to do it.
“Coach?! You are in this too?!” her tone was full of betrayal.
“You need to have some fun sometimes, (Name),” he said, chuckling as he walked away from the group. She just sighed in defeat and sat on the chair.
“C’mon (Name), it’ll be fun! Plus ya get a one-week vacation and Coach ‘ere will be the one to pay.” Atsumu said. The polygraph expert was attaching something on her fingers and chest. It was to measure her pulse, blood pressure, skin conductivity, and breathing.
The cameras were also set up in front of them, the blinking red light is the sign that it was already recording.
“Due to the request of our fans, here we are with our lovely athletic trainer, (Last name) (Name). And now, she’s answerin’ some of the yer questions that ya have tweeted for her.” Atsumu said and presented her like he was promoting some kind of appliance. Inunaki was the one who picked from the fishbowl first.
from @atchumoomiya
“Did you regret applying as an athletic trainer for MSBY?”
(Name): Honestly speaking, yes.
“She’s saying the truth.” the polygraph expert says
Atsumu: Ha?! Ya regret workin’ with us?
(Name): Well, I thought I would be working with full-grown adults but I get to work with four adults and four men that are a child at heart.
Bokuto: I think I’m at the adult side, right (Name)-san?!
Atsumu: No, Bokkun, you and Hinata are definitely on the other option.
Adriah: You and Sakusa are no exception. The four of you are Meian and (Name)’s main source of stress.
from  @msbyfangirl
“Out of all the members of Jackals, who is a boyfriend material?”
There was a short pause after the question was read. She bit her lower lip, very hesitant to speak because of the expecting eyes staring at her. In short, she was very pressured to answer.
(Name): Well, they are all-
Atsumu: Come on, (Name)! Just tell your opinion, no one will be offended, right?
Sakusa: That is the line of a person who get offended at the end if they are not chosen.
Atsumu: Shuddup, Omi-kun!
(Name): In my opinion they are all boyfriend material but Bokuto-san and Inunaki-san stands out. I think they are the type of boyfriend who is caring and spoils their s/o with cuddles.
Meian: I see that in Bokuto but Inunaki getting soft? I think you mistook Hinata for Inunaki.
Inunaki: What the [censored] was that supposed to mean? Oh [censored] I forgot they are recording.
from @izukeishima
“I’m curious about something, you’re a figure skater aren’t you? When I was in high school, I watched a figure skating competition on 20** in Vancouver and you’re the girl in white dress, I think. I can’t take my off you! You look so elegant when you skate.
All eyes landed on her, she felt her cheeks warming up because of that. But it didn’t last long when Hinata broke it.
Hinata: Woah! It’s true! (Name)-san really competed in Vancouver. You look cool! How can you twirl like that in the ice?!
(Name): Hey! Don’t search it up! This is embarrassing, yes I am that girl in white dress. When I was still in high school, I competed in a figure skating competition.
from @sakusastan
“Who is the top ten good looking volleyball player in your opinion?”
(Name): I think I will keep that opinion to myself. I still want to live longer no thanks.
from @kageyamasmilkjug
“(Last name)-san is very pretty! Did any famous volleyball players slide into your dms?”
Bokuto read the question aloud, she bit the insides of her cheeks. Thinking whether she should answer or not. In her mind, she’s thinking that if she answered the question, Atsumu and Bokuto will definitely took a note of the names she might say.
Atsumu: Now that’s the type of question we want! Bokkun, take note of what will she say.
Bokuto: Roger that!
(Name): *sighs because of the duo*
Hinata: Atsumu-san, I think you're the only one who like that kind of question.
(Name): No one
“she’s lying.”
Barnes: That’s expected, I mean every time we are reversing another team, I always caught some of their members starting at her.
Sakusa: They aren’t even subtle while doing it. Take Atsumu for example, he was so lost in thought that he got hit by a ball in his face during the time we versed Rajin.
Bokuto: Oh I remember that incident! And the other one, do you remember it when Tsumu slip during the fansigning day because he’s busy glaring at the man who’s hitting on (Name)-san. He didn’t noticed the stairs and slipped.
Inunaki: simp, a wild simp has appeared
Atsumu: Hey! That’s not true!
(Name): Fine! There are some players that slide into my dms but I will never tell you their names.
Atsumu: Aww! (Name)-chan, why?!
She doesn’t have the guts to say that his twin and Sakusa’s cousin slid into her dms. It would be pure chaos and she’s not ready for it.

Part 2 | Part 1 (Here!)
Featuring the older guys, finally! If I did calculate correctly, Meian should be born in 1989, Tomas was born in 1991, and Inunaki in 1992.
So yeah, keep that in mind.
Pairing: Meian Shugo, Inunaki Shion, Adriah Tomas x fem reader! (she/her)
Genre (s): romance, fluff
Warning (s): all of them are either engaged or married!
Enjoy!
Meian Shugo
Tumblr media
Recently, you and Meian have moved into your new house after months of house-searching and renovations.
You have been engaged to him for about two years and were slowly planning your wedding, despite your parents' nagging.
Meian absolutely adores you, and his fans are often in awe about how much in love with you.
You two needed to pick up some stuff from Costco, so you two hop onto your car and drives off to the nearest Costco.
It was hard not to lose you in the crowd since the number of times that he lost you in Costco before was quite the amount.
His arm never left your waist as you two go through the list.
When you two are done with the shopping and load all the stuff into the boot.
You decided to mess with him while he went and push the trolley back.
Meian stood in shock as he watched the dark blue SUV driving out of the parking lot with your car plate. Did his own fiancé just leave him at the store? And without his wallet too?
He immediately called you, and you almost burst out laughing even before answering his call.
"Babe! You just left me at the store! Without my wallet too!" You can hear the sheer panic through his voice.
"Huh? Oh my god! I left you at the store? I'm so sorry, baby!" He was flabbergasted by your genuine response. So you did leave him by the store by accident, that was what he thought.
"I'll pick you up! Stay there!" You ended the call before bursting out in fits of giggles.
You were outside a boba shop, with his card, buying drinks for you two, so when you go back to pick him up, he would not be so upset with you.
While waiting for you, he got a message about his card getting charged at a boba shop.
Now, he is getting suspicious about whether did you really just leave him at the store by mistake or just to get boba?
When your car pulls up to the pick-up stand, his cheeks were flushed with embarrassment, and he quickly got into the car.
"Babe, that was not nice. How could you just leave me at the store?" He frowns, and you leaned forward to kiss his lips.
"It was funny! But I won't do it again, I promise!" You giggled and drives out of the parking lot.
"Yeah, that's what you always say. You even bought boba using my card." Meian complains and pokes the straws into both of the drinks.
"That was for last time. You left me at the stadium too." Ah, you were just getting even at him from last time.
"Fine. But, don't pull this prank again." He warned you but were you going to listen to him?
Nope.
Tumblr media
Inunaki Shion
Tumblr media
You two are destined to be together.
Both of you are well-known for teasing your teammates and being one of the best liberos in the nation.
You played professionally in the States, Russia and then returning back to play in Japan.
Two of you recently have gotten married in a private ceremony with your close friends and family.
Living together was fun, and pranks are a regular part of your daily life.
Today, you two were heading the stores to stock up the fridge, and you offered to drive, and he was grateful for that, not knowing what you were about to do later.
It was a quick trip since you two were pretty quick on your feet, and the queue was short.
Then you two put the stuff in the boot of the car.
He told you to drive to the entrance as he went to return the trolley.
You totally did not do that.
You drove past him and out of the store.
Inunaki stared at the passing car, gaping at it with a flabbergasted expression.
You did not just do that.
He immediately called you.
"HONEY! WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME AT THE STORE?!" He screams into his phone, garnering a few nasty looks from the other older ladies shopping there.
You hold your laughter in and calm yourself down.
"I accidentally left you! I'm sorry! I'm coming to get you!" You laughed, and he continues to whines about how you were going to regret this prank.
When you pulled up in front of him, his cheeks were flushed, and he rushed towards the car.
"Oh my god, I'm so embarrassed! How can you do that? I trusted you! No cuddles for a week!" He declared, and you raised a brow at him.
A week without cuddles? Will he survive without you?
"Babe, are you sure you can survive without cuddles? I'll be away next week for my games." Inunaki took offence in that, and now he is determined to prove to you that he can survive without cuddles.
How dare you underestimate him?
---
You stare at him, and he stares back at you.
"What are you doing? That's my shirt." You rolled your eyes at him.
"Shion, you are wearing my pyjamas pants. I need it tomorrow!" He narrowed his eyes at you.
Then you two got into bed, and you turned your back on him, cuddling your bolster. He tried to hide his pained expression, but he was suffering indeed.
His wife is just beside him, and yet he can't cuddle her because of his own words.
You could feel his sad puppy eyes on your back, and then he tugs on your shirt.
"Okay, fine. I can't sleep without cuddling. Can we cuddle? You're leaving for a week, and I need my fill for cuddles before you leave."
Hearing that, you kicked the bolster off the bed and got into his arms. He wrapped his arms around you and pulls you closer to him. You press your cheeks against him and lets out a satisfied sigh.
Just as you were about to fall asleep, he whispered into your ears.
"I do not forgive you about today's prank. Watch your back, honey."
No one gets away with pranking Inunaki Shion, NO ONE.

You two have been married for two years and now, with a baby on the way.
After months of waiting, you two finally can move out of your parents' house and into your new house.
And of course, you two have to stop by the grocery store to pick up the essentials and to stock up the fridge too.
He wanted you to stay at home, but you don't want to be alone at home, so he let you tag along with him.
Everyone at the grocery store was giving you two the stares because they thought you were younger than him, and ya know...
But you hold onto his hand, discreetly showing off your ring on your ring finger.
This older lady was judging you two, and you couldn't take it.
You walked up to her with your growing bump, pulling Adriah along with you.
You told her straight up that he is not older than you, you are two years older than him, and you two got married before you were pregnant.
And after that, you two went on to do your things.
When you two were done, he puts all the purchase in the boot while you got into the driver's seat.
"Honey, I'll push the trolley back. Can you drive to the front to wait for me?" You nod your head, and he went and push the trolley back.
You reversed the car out of the lot and was about to drive to the front, then you were hit with a sudden craving for taiyaki. Instead of driving to the front, you head for the exit and drove to the nearest taiyaki shop.
Adriah just stood there, watching you drive out of the parking without him.
He called your phone, and it was connected to the Bluetooth of the car.
"Babe! You left me at the store! Where are you now?" He asked, and you realised that you just left your husband at the store.
"Oh...I was craving for some taiyaki, so I went and get some. Don't worry, I'll come and get you after I buy them." You reassured him.
"Okay, drive safely. I'll wait here." He ends the call.
So he ended up waiting at the store and met a couple of his fans. They were all curious about why he was waiting by himself, and then he told them about how your sudden craving for taiyaki left him stranded at the store.
After waiting for about 15 minutes, you finally came back to pick him up.
You two switched sides, so he can drive, and you can comfortably enjoy your taiyaki.
"I bought yours too! So we all get a share too!" You pass him one of the taiyaki, and you all enjoyed the taiyaki together on your drive home.
---
Later, the tag 'taiyaki' and 'adriah' started trending on Twitter, with his photo of you nibbling on the taiyaki while watching Disney.
Tumblr media
Hehehe, I don't know why I pictured them either being engaged or already married. But I hope you guys enjoyed it! Thank you for reading!
Stay safe and healthy!
With love,
Rosalie🍓

Hello, Minty! I came across your blog from your "trademark" post and I 100% agree - idk what it is about sharing food or cooking large meals for people, but something about it is just so...comforting? Like, imagine you're having a housewarming party or another occasion where you have a bunch of friends over and having all of them gush about how mind-blowingly amazing your food is! 😖 MSBY vibes, please-
I hope you're doing well! 🤗💖🤗💖
lily hi sugar!!! and right? nothing’s better than a meal shared with your loved ones. the msby vibes comment got me so have a little something from silly ol’ masha <3
Tumblr media
cw — platonic msby. they’re great friends i reckon
Tumblr media
“fhis ish vreafh!” atsumu cheers from his spot at the table, mouth stuffed with the strawberry mochi you had prepared for this occasion. sakusa nudges him with his elbow, clicking his tongue disapprovingly, muttering something about ‘you’ll choke’. inunaki snorts, fists banging the table, and oliver smiles at you.
“the food is great,” he compliments, mirroring your grin as you beam at the men gathered around your dining room table. it’s always been nice to have many people at dinner—which is why you proposed you have weekly meetups where you can cook for all of them and everyone on the team is free to show up and get their share. meian snickers at the way bokuto and hinata fight childishly over the last piece of grilled meat, swiping it right from under their noses.
“that’s what you get if you don’t guard it with your life,” he justifies his action while adriah and oliver shake their heads, amused. you just bring another tray of grilled meat and share it evenly among the men, telling them to be nice to each other.
the room is bustling with merry laughter and lots of chats on different topics as you take away dirty plates with the help of the libero—sakusa has already volunteered to wash the dishes so you can simply relax after they leave. “i know miya can be very loud, so you should rest. that’s eight of us that you had to feed and be nice to,” he explains as he hands you a clean mug so you can dry it and put it in its place.
“oh, now you’re just mean to atsumu.”
“i have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“liar. you like him, don’t you? he’s your friend.”
“never speak such preposterous words again.”
the laughter dies down into quiet chuckles and tired giggles as the cherry pies finally makes their way onto the table. you’ve made two and another one is still baking, just in case someone—you cough as you look at adriah, who seems to suddenly be very interested in the paintings on your walls—decides to eat one whole pie by himself like last time. the comment prompts everyone to cackle, you spot hinata falling from his chair and inunaki elbows the culprit, “we have chances this time! try not to repeat last week’s incident though.”
the night ends with displays of affection towards you—the eight athletes take turns in hugging you, spinning you around, kissing your cheeks, patting your head and using the super mega ultra secret handshake (can you guess to whom does it belong?) as they exit your new home one by one.
they’ll come by next week to empty your fridge again, don’t worry.

Shugo Meian + “Can’t take my eyes off of you“
This is the 18th Oneshot for the Valentines Day Event! Thank you so much for requesting/participating!
**Also, thank you for requesting Meian, i’ve been wanting to write for him for *forever*”
Character: Meian x reader
Tumblr media
Meian took yet another look in the mirror, running a hand through his styled black hair as he sighed, turning to face his friends once again. “Are you sure everything is straight? The tie’s not crooked is it?” Barnes just smiled as he shook his head, Adriah saying ‘nope’ as Inunaki rolled his eyes, “No cap, your bow tie is still not crooked-” He winced as Adriah elbowed him, rubbing his shoulder.
Ignoring the sass of his shorter teammate Meian returned his gaze to the mirror, nervously gulping as he ran his hands through his hair one more time, admiring the tux the two of you had picked out.  Today was the day you married the love of your life, Shugo Meian. You guys had had a pretty short engagement, it being not even a year as you both just wanted to get married. The wedding was in 15 minutes, and he had to be at the altar in 5.
In the small room with him were his best man, Oliver Barnes, and 2 out of 6 of his groomsmen. Originally, Adriah, Inunaki, Sakusa, Atsumu, Bokuto and Hinata had all been in the room. But seeing as they were much better suited for causing stress than for alleviating it, they were now patiently waiting elsewhere. “Everything's going to be fine, you really don’t have that much to worry about.” He nodded at that, thanking Barnes for his words of encouragement as he took a deep breath.
“Okay...let’s do this!” Walking out of the room he started towards the altar, Barnes following closely behind him while Adriah and Inunaki went to collect the 4 troublemakers. He pushed the doors open, walking down the aisle and taking his place in front of the officiator, Barnes coming to stand behind him while the other 6 took their places to his left. He briefly checked his watch ‘3 minutes...’ He thought back to the first time you had met, 3 years ago. You worked as an elementary school teacher and had brought your class on a field trip to the MSBY Black Jackals.
Meian, being the good captain he was, wanted to make sure the kids got the best possible experience they could. He had gone into the couch’s office to meet the teacher, just to tell them about what they had planned and to make sure it was okay. His jaw almost dropped as he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen standing in front of the coach’s desk, offering him a kind smile as he entered. After the day had ended, he had of course gotten her number. Meian smiled as he remembered how flustered you had been; getting the attractive captain of MSBY’s number had not been on your list of expectations for the day, but you definitely weren’t complaining.
You guys had hit it off really well, so it was no surprise to anyone when he had proposed 10 months ago. And now here he was, 1 1/2 minutes away from marrying the love of his life. He fidgeted with his tie before clasping his hands in front of him again, trying to keep a calm expression despite the absolute turmoil he was experiencing.
‘30 seconds...’ He took a deep breath as he very briefly closed his eyes before reopening them and releasing the breath. The church doors swung open as his head snapped up to see you. You started down the aisle, one arm wrapped tightly around your fathers, while the other held your gorgeous bouquet of (Favorite Flowers~). He felt his jaw go slack at the dress you had chosen, noticing how perfect it fit and how well it brought out your beauty.
It wasn’t until his eyes met yours that the first tear slipped down his cheek. This was real. He really was marrying the love of his life, his best friend. He chuckled as he wiped the few tears that had fallen with his handkerchief, holding back more as you came to stand before him, taking his hands in yours with the biggest, and brightest smile of yours he had ever seen, whispering a small ‘Hi’ as you did, his smile growing as you did.
And as the ceremony continued the smile never disappeared off of his face. Because this was what his forever looked like, this was who he’d be spending the rest of his life with. And as he slipped the diamond ring on your finger, and you slipped the golden band onto his, he honestly could not think of a single thing he could ever want more.
“At long last, love has arrived, And I thank God I'm alive, You're just too good to be true, Can't take my eyes off of you“

When Shugo was appointed as team captain, he didn’t really give it much thought and accepted the title with pride along with the responsibilities that come with it. He had the experience of being a captain when he was still a student, so it’s nothing new. The only difference is that he’s leading a team full of grown men instead of hormonal teenagers.
With a team like the MSBY Black Jackals, one of the top teams in the V.League Division 1, you’d expect players who are more on the professional side of the spectrum, the kind that always means business, practice first relax later, that kind of thing.
However, he was proven wrong when the younger ones of the team, namely, Bokuto Kotaro, Sakusa Kiyoomi, Miya Atsumu, and Hinata Shoyo are involved, the atmosphere is far from serious. Of course, when it’s time for practice they’re more focused, giving 110% into their training.
Even so, once that whistle is blown, signaling a break from practice, all hell breaks loose. If it is not Bokuto and Hinata bouncing around and screaming, it would be Atsumu and Sakusa bickering, well mainly Sakusa roasting Atsumu and the blond Miya trying to come up with the best come back he could think of.
From what Shugo could remember, Atsumu had none so far, so it was safe to say the setter’s verbal game is weak.
It’s not just them either, the older ones, namely, Oliver Barnes, Adriah Thomas, and Inunaki Shion would sometimes join the other four when they’re feeling playful that day, which just give Shugo more problems to deal with, and when all seven of them joined forces it just increase Shugo’s chances of growing gray hair at age 29.
They have a manager of course and he is there to help keep everyone in check, making sure they behave and all. But, with the team becoming even more well known, emails for brand deals, interviews and magazine photoshoots were sent almost every single day that it needs immediate attention and the only one for that job is their manager himself, Mizuno Takato.
Leaving Shugo to mostly deal with the team on his own.
So when Coach Foster and Takato told him they’ll be having another manager to take care of the team’s internal affairs, he was so happy he almost cried.
“Everyone I would like you all to meet, (L/n) (Y/n) and she will be your manager starting today so take good care of her”
You bowed your head as everyone shouted a “Welcome to the team!” with Takato holding up your very own MSBY jersey jacket. As everyone went around to introduce themselves to you one by one.
“Hey, hey, hey! (Y/n) I can’t believe you’re back!” Bokuto bounded over to you, picking you up, then spinning you around laughing as Hinata excitedly babbles beside him.
“Welcome back (Y/n)!”
You giggled, happy to finally see the friends you left all those years ago “I’m home!"
Bokuto gently places you on the ground, planting your feet to the wooden floor as you steady yourself. While the others who were curious about the exchange and the sunshine duo's familiarity with you walks over.
“You know her Kotaro, Shoyo?” Oliver inquired as Bokuto nodded his head, taking hold of your shoulders and pulling you in front of him, facing your new teammates.
“She was our manager back in high school, while Hinata met her during our training camps”
That was months ago and every day you have proven yourself to be a very reliable manager and Shugo could not be any happier.
“Congratulations everyone! That was a very good game” you said, giving them their towels and drinks as they sat down on the bench. Resting their tired muscles and regaining the lost energy from a very tiring 3 set match.
The Azuma Pharmacy Green Rockets were not an easy opponent, especially with players such as Kiryu Wakatsu, who was once a part of the top three aces in Japan and Goshiki Tsutomu who was Ushijima’s junior back in high school. Nevertheless, they still manage and won the game a good way to start their Monday.
“Goshiki’s straight is still as cool as ever” Hinata stated gulping down his water as Adriah and Shugo let out a sigh, remembering how they had problems blocking his spikes because of how close they mostly were to the line.
“He’s a very tricky opponent”
“Here you go, Sakusa-san” you pass Sakusa his own towel, the one you had specifically separated from the others as the spiker nodded at you in thanks, dabbing it on his face whilst listening to his teammate’s give their own commentary of the game and their insights of the opposing team’s players.
“Shugo, someone wants to have an interview” Takato called as the captain stood up from his seat about to walk to where they were waiting before he stops in his tracks and looks back.
“How about let’s have Bokuto, Atsumu, Sakusa, and Hinata do the interview this time?” he suggested, as Sakusa’s lips turned into a frown while the other three vigorously nodded their head “They're the stars of today’s game I’m sure the interviewer would love to hear from them”
Sakusa tried to make a last-minute getaway, but Atsumu took hold of the towel wrap around his neck and started dragging him, following after their captain.
“C'mon Omi-Omi, it'll be fun" Atsumu just grinned, watching Sakusa's face morph into a scowl as he tugs on the towel “Just live a little”
“I am living”
You quickly pack the empty water bottles and the dirty towels into the bag that Takato was holding while the rest slowly made their way back into the locker room “I’ll leave them to you (Y/n)”
You nodded, jogging after your teammates and immediately spotting them just outside the court, they've already started because you could hear the questions the reporter were asking them as you move to stand beside Shugo. The interview was going well, they were giving honest answers and honest opinions about the game, however, as it goes on, the reporter seems to have taken a liking towards Sakusa because he seems to be the only person the reporter was pointing the microphone at.
While the three idiots who were being ignored decided it was a good idea to do gymnastics at the back. You and Shugo watch in horror as Bokuto does a double backflip, landing perfectly on his feet, both hands raise high, Hinata mimicking his actions and Atsumu following after with a front split all the while not breaking eye contact from the journalist who had notice them. Sakusa who has had enough just plastered on the biggest I-Don’t-Give-A-Fuck face while giving one-word answers.
Shugo who can’t do anything about it just banged his head on the wall. He wished he could have an early retirement but God he’s still young.
“What happened?” Inunaki asks watching from the door as you scolded the four from their stupid stunt. Only Bokuto and Hinata were the ones who look guilty and were muttering apologies under their breath while Atsumu was pouting saying things like.
"I did nothing wrong" or "She was being rude"
Meanwhile, Sakusa doesn't even understand why you're getting angry with him as well, he answered that woman's question like what he was told to do, he just chose the fastest route and the lady seems happy.
“You’ll see later”
They didn't even have to wait long because, after an hour, the video was already circulating the internet, earning hundreds of views by the minute with people commenting like crazy.
“The good thing is, we just earned ourselves more fans” Adriah laugh, Takato’s phone in his hand, the device letting out a ding every minute as the team’s official Twitter and Instagram account were flooding with notifications of new followers or tagged posts.
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
Meeting their fans were always one of the things they love to do, the prospect of connecting with people who had supported them throughout the years that they played just keeps them even more motivated to train harder and play better.
“Okay everyone, be gentle with the kids alright? Bokuto, Hinata I’m looking at you” The captain shot the two mentioned players a look to emphasize his point however the mentor-disciple duo wasn't even listening and instead was jumping in excitement, waving at the kids waiting at the other side of the field.
You chuckled, they're just the same as they were in high school and here you thought they've matured a little bit now that they're in their 20s.
Right now, the team was in Kawasaki for a mini fan event held in one of the city's local elementary schools. The team came to an agreement last night, after watching the hilarious black jackals’ post-game interview, that it would not be just fun and games. They should also discuss some bits and pieces of the position they play to give the children some insights and give an early understanding in case they plan to pursue a volleyball career in the future.
However, with kids being kids, didn't seem to care nor interested in the slightest because once it started, they quickly run to their favorite member and started climbing them like trees. The tall ones, especially Adriah and Oliver have at least two kids hanging on each arm, with one of their back, and another on their leg.
"It's good work-out" Takato noted, telling the other kids to do the same to the rest of the members before snapping a few photos to update the fans of the team's schedule for the day.
You guffawed watching as they tackle Atsumu to the ground, the blond screaming for help while clawing at thin air for something to grab.
"Don't worry Atsumu-san, I'll help you!" Hinata tried so hard to pull Atsumu up, but another kid jump on his back resulting in him losing his footing and falling beside the setter.
Bokuto wanted to offer his assistance, but a little girl accidentally tripped him, landing on the two.
"Bokkun, yer heavy!"
"Sorry!"
It turned into a messy dog pile and Sakusa, who was beside the chaos, move his own horde of children to another area before showing his wrist trick. A chorus of oohs and aahs was heard, as the kids watch with wide eyes as it easily bends forward before a boy decided to do the same, but backward, and you have never been so bothered by something before.
You close both eyes, involuntarily shuddering 'Goodness, what are they feeding these children?' you crack an eye open to take a quick peek to check if they stopped but no, another kid also wanted to show his own freak talent and now there's three of them.
You turn around, you're just going to let them do their thing, they seem to be enjoying it anyway.
Feeling a tug on your skirt, you look down to see a little girl looking at you with sparkling eyes.
“Onee-san, you’re so pretty” she said in awe, as you leaned down to be at eye level with the girl.
“Oh? But you’re prettier”
She shook her head, and place her small hands on your cheek “But onee-san is like a princess”
You clutch a hand to your chest at how precious this little girl was, Takato was definitely having a field day because he has not stopped taking pictures. The girl took your hand and led you towards the garden, sitting you down under the tree as she picks up a flower crown and placing it on your head.
“There! It fits you perfectly!” she beamed as you try your best not to just wrap her up in your arms and hug her all day, she was just so cute. Her smile is so bright that somehow she reminded you of Hinata, a ball of sunshine with smiles that could light up the whole room.
“Do you have another one?” she nodded her head and showed you another that was half-finish. You remove a few pieces of flowers, switching it with ones of a different color then adjusting its size before tying both ends.
“Now, there are two princesses” you put the crown on her head as she giggled.
You continued making more flower accessories with her, flower bracelets, flower necklaces, and the likes then putting them on each other. She was a bright and bubbly girl, she would share you some stories of her and her older siblings, her parents and her friends in the elementary school.
You wanted to hear more, she was a good storyteller.
Time flies by so fast when you are having fun is what they would always say and you agreed with that saying because before you even knew it, it was time to go home. Everyone is standing by the gate, saying their goodbyes and telling promises to visit again.
“Bye-bye, pretty onee-chan!” she waves at you, standing beside her teacher, proudly wearing her flower accessories.
Later that evening, everyone was lounging around in the living room, tired from playing with the kids all day. The others were watching the news, however, no one was even listening to the television, because their attention was in the game Oliver and Shugo were having.
Inunaki leaned down to whisper something to Oliver, who's face light up, as he moves his queen to eat Shugo's rook.
"Hey, no coaching!"
Inunaki just shrugs his shoulders in response as he discusses their next strategy.
"I'll help you Meian-san" Hinata took a seat beside his captain, observing the board with such concentration. Brown eyes carefully scanning the positions each piece were place before whispering in Shugo’s ear. Following his suggestion with no doubt whatsoever, Shugo moves his queen forward only for it to get eaten by Oliver's pawn.
“Bwahaha!” Atsumu was bent over, clutching his stomach as he wipes the tears forming at the corner of his eyes while Bokuto tries to console his dejected kouhai in between laughter.
Inunaki and Oliver snickered sharing a high five.

“Adriah, I need you to tighten that block a little more!”
“That’s good, keep it up Kiyoomi!”
“Okay, follow up, follow up!”
You stood at the sidelines, your eyes following their move as they were currently having a match against each other, Coach Foster and Takato were beside you observing the men on the court while occasionally giving out directives.
A camcorder was prep on your left side to record the practices, the videos will be used as a study material to properly assess the things that needs to be corrected in order to improve their gameplay. While you note down the commentary Coach Foster was saying to add later.
It went on for an hour, their stamina never fails to amaze you as they continuously, jump, dive, and run just to keep the ball in the air. After checking his wristwatch Coach Foster decided that it was time to end the training for the day. So he blew his whistle and the game immediately came to a halt, the ball bouncing on the wooden floor and they drag their tired bodies to gather in front of him, wiping their sweat with their shirt as they waited for his announcements.
“Okay boys good job today, keep in mind what I said and practice more on what you need to improve”
They slowly bob their head up and down, too tired to give out a verbal reply. Coach Foster doesn’t seem to mind because he knows they’re taking his advice seriously.
“This will be the last practice for this week so enjoy your weekend off and rest properly”
After that, they immediately spread out and started cleaning up the gym as fast as their tired bodies can so that they could finally rest and eat some good food.
"Shugo I need the report for last week, can you give it to me by tomorrow?"
"Yes coach, I'm almost done"
Lies, he hasn't even started yet and he was nervous that he won’t be able to finish it on time and if he ever submit the report late, Coach Foster was going to whoop his ass. So many things have happened this week that he never finds the time to start it yet, not even a single paragraph.
No, not even a single sentence.
Seeing your captain's inner turmoil, you walk up to him and whispered "Don't worry, I'll help you"
Shugo shot you a grateful smile, ruffling your hair "You're a savior kid"
That was how you found yourself sitting in the kitchen counter, laptop in front of you, staring at your current work. It would have been easy if the report was in Japanese but Coach Foster prefers it in English.
Shugo was sitting across you, hands fast and typing away, Takato was seated beside you rewriting your notes while the others, who still weren’t feeling sleepy at 11 pm were in the living room watching a movie.
"How do you spell Schweiden again?"
"S-c-h-w...uhh" Shugo's mind seems to have failed him mid-spell as he closes his eyes to try and remember.
"S-c-h-w-e-i-d-e-n" Sakusa finished for him as he walks into the kitchen to get himself a glass of water. The movie must have already ended because the others were already piling into the kitchen, cans, and bottles of drinks in hand and food wrappers place in bowls.
"How's the report going?" Inunaki peered behind Shugo's shoulder.
"It's going great" It’s not, it’s actually not, Shugo is definitely close to pulling his hair out. He glared at his laptop as he continues on smashing the keyboard keys, opting to finish the report as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, you felt like your brain was short-circuiting, English is definitely a hard language, it's complex, it's tricky and certainly a pain. One word can mean two things depending on the pronunciation and its sentence usage and can have a whole different meaning when spelled and one letter is missing, like for example 'public', take one letter out and what do we get?
Pubic.
Anyway, that's not the point, the point is English is hard, and you were close to losing your mind.
You took a sip of your drink, which was coffee mix with a monster energy drink, it was definitely death in a cup but you couldn't care less. You need to stay awake and your deadly concoction was doing a great job keeping your eyes open.
"You know” you started resting your chin on your palm, taking a break from your suffering “I find it amazing how the names of professional volleyball teams are so long like-”
You scroll through the list you have saved in your laptop's notepad “-three to five words at most yet they are referred to by a single name"
"What do you mean?" Takato shifts his eyes from his notebook to you tracing the rim of your cup as your eyes focus themselves on the ceiling.
"I mean there's the Eastern Japan Paper Mills Raijin and everyone calls them Raijin, the Azuma Pharmacy Green Rockets is called Green Rockets while Schweiden Adlers is referred to as Adlers"
"Yes, go on"
"MSBY Black Jackals is sometimes called MSBY or Black Jackals but even those names are a mouthful"
By now, everyone's attention was on you, curiosity flooding their mind as they wait for you to finish.
"So the team is mostly referred to as BJ" you look up and with the most serious face ever, you said "But has anyone even realize that BJ also stands for blowjob?"
Hinata, who was drinking a glass of milk choke on his drink while Atsumu slowly turns to look at Bokuto mouthing a "What the fuck?"
Oliver let out a nervous chuckle "You should take a break (Y/n)" he tries to set your laptop aside so you could rest your exhausted brain, but you shook your head and started working again, finally having the idea outlined in your head. That short break was very effective because your hands were seamlessly gliding over the keyboard keys, as input more words in to your work.
"Also, what does MSBY even mean? Most Significant Byte? I don’t get it"
They don’t get it either, as to where this is all coming from. They swore you have it stored in your mind for so long and just waited for the right moment to tell it.
It was amazing too because while you were going on and on about anything that you could think of, you were also typing on your laptop. Hinata took a peek to see if you were actually doing your job instead of just key smashing, but he was surprised when he saw you busting out an actual paragraph in English while spewing out nonsense in Japanese.
Multi-tasking sure is an impressive skill. He should learn it sometime.
You ran a hand through your hair, you were starting to have trouble again. You were in the zone for about 30 minutes but after that, the effect of your drink started to wear off and you were on a dead end.
The others had decided you hang out in the house's big kitchen doing their own thing, your eyes darted from every corner of the room, trying to find some sort of a cure to help your mental block.
Adriah was seated next to you scrolling through his phone as he nibbled on a pocky stick, you tap him on the shoulder as he looks up at you questioningly "Adriah-san, could you slap me in the face?"
Taken aback by your request he sputtered, almost dropping his phone "W-what?"
"I need something to keep me awake and this is not working anymore" you gestured to your now empty cup "I'm guessing the pain might keep me awake until I'm done with this"
Now, if you actually wanted to feel pain you could have asked at least one of the team's spikers, but you were not dumb enough to actually do that.
Adriah search your eyes for any signs that you were joking, but he found none "Are you sure (Y/n)?"
You assured him that it would be fine, so he raises his hand up as you prepare yourself for the impact.
Sleep must have been overtaking everyone's mind because it took them a few seconds to realize what was happening. Adriah's hand already collided with your face, he had underestimated the force he put in that slap but then soon find out he put too much when a smack resonated inside the kitchen as your body fell from the stool and landing on the cold tiles.
The whole room erupted into a panic as your body lays unmoving on the floor.
“Oh meu Deus!”
"Shit, shit, shit. Adriah what did you do?!" Inunaki kneeled down beside you, the cheek where Adriah hit was glowing red with a visible hand mark starting to form.
"I don't know, I just did what she ask me!" Adriah replied, equally as panicked.
Takato was now checking your pulse, to see if it was still beating. It was a bit exaggerated, a slap wouldn't kill you but with how strong Adriah did it. Takato wouldn't even be surprised if you snapped a vein in your neck.
Bokuto being the drama queen that he is, was shouting words like “(Y/n), don’t die you’re still young!” followed by a “Akaashi will be so sad if you go!”
And Atsumu, instead of being a good senpai that he claims he is, didn’t even think to help you. Instead, the first thing he did was to grab his phone and went live on Instagram to broadcast the madness happening in your shared kitchen.
"Goddammit Adriah!"
"Why are you blaming me?!"
Fortunately, you just passed out; picking you up, Takato carried you back into your room, and tucks you in. Gently closing your door, he goes back into the kitchen to calm them down before the neighbor calls the police on them.
He let out a heavy exhale, rubbing his temples “They’re hopeless”
What would he do without you?

When you woke up the next day, you could still feel a stinging sensation on your cheek, your head hurt as well, you wondered what happened to you after you blacked out. You sat up in your bed, rubbing the sleep from your eyes and checking the clock on your night stand to see that it was already 8 am.
So you get out of bed, and walk downstairs into the kitchen to see everyone already there preparing breakfast. It seems like it wasn't just you who woke up late, because after Adriah slapped you to sleep, Shugo roped all of them into helping him with his report, and since none of them were familiar with the job. It took them until 2 am before they were finished and immediately e-mailed the document to Coach Foster.
"Good morning, how's your cheek?" Oliver eyed the slowly fading red mark on your cheek, standing besides Inunaki, holding a plate as the libero carefully places the pancakes in a neat stack, then flipping the other one that was still in the pan.
"It still hurts a little" you took a seat between Hinata and Sakusa, already eating their breakfast.
Adriah passed you a plate with five pancakes stacked on top of each other, a slice of banana on the side, followed by a cup of your favorite coffee. Your eyes were literally sparkling, the food looks so delicious and it smell so so good you almost drooled “I'm sorry about last night"
He gave you a gentle smile, eyes soft, whoever was going to be this man’s future lover sure is very lucky.
"There is nothing to be sorry about Adriah-san, I was the one who asked for it" He was such a sweetheart, it wasn’t even his fault yet he took the time to prepare your food himself, now you just felt guilty by asking him to hit you.
You took the bottle of maple syrup Sakusa handed to you as you drizzled some of it on top of your pancakes "Also, please remind me to never do that again"
Everyone collectively agreed, after last night's scare, there was no way they were going to agree to any odd request you have, no matter how serious you were.
Breakfast was quick, mainly because everyone had a photoshoot to attend at 10. It was a magazine photoshoot for a swimwear by a very well known brand, however it was also the photoshoot they were looking forward to. Because not only was the brand a favorite of theirs, they’ll be partnered with famous models as well, so it was a win-win on their part.
After everyone was finished, the dishes were immediately cleaned, the table wiped off of any food crumbs while the trash was taken out. The guys went back to their room to get ready, and once everyone was ready to go, they piled into the bus as it drove off to the beach which was the venue for the photoshoot.
"It's sure is refreshing to be walking by the sea" Inunaki gazed towards the blue water splashing along the shore, following after their two managers towards the area where tents, chairs and cameras were already set-up.
"It looks so beautiful too" Oliver said, kicking the white sand under his flip flops as the staff led them to the chairs lined out. The make-up artist immediately worked on their look that was going to be aligned with the photoshoot's theme.
"Ahh~ it's so hot" you hold the mini fan closer to Bokuto's face while Sakusa takes the one you were holding out for him, beads of sweat running down your face as Takato took care of the others. Of all the times they have to choose, it has to be in the middle of the day, when the sun is up and proudly shining.
The models were in another tent, dressed in their robes while they waited for the stylist to finish the last touches on the boys’ hair, once done, they changed into their designated swimwear, while the girls removed the robes they were wearing.
It took them about two hours before they were finished, the director wanted to get as many shots as he could so he had plenty to choose from. The break in  between takes were crazy because the make-up artist and stylist had to jump from one person to another just to do some retouches, the girls especially, were very fussy and wanted their make-up redone every thirty minutes.
“This is the last time I’m working with models” Sakusa grumbles, as you hand him a packet of wet wipes as he takes a piece and rubs the lipstick stain off his cheek when the model he partnered with gave him a kiss earlier.
You could only offer him a sympathetic smile, even though this was not his first endorsement, he still wasn’t used to interacting with strangers. Not so keen to them casually touching him and invading his personal space.
“Oh Kiyoomi~” Sakusa let out a groan before turning to look at the woman jogging towards him, already changed into a yellow sundress and a sunhat on top of her head. “Here”
She placed a folded paper on his palm “Call me” then blew him a kiss before she walked away. Sakusa opened the paper to see her name, number and even address written on it.  He stared at the paper for a good second, before he met your eyes.
He just looks so done with everything.
“Isn’t this our lucky day?” Shugo whistled, pieces of papers on his hand while slinging an arm around Bokuto’s shoulder and sharing a grin with the pepper haired male. With Atsumu trailing behind them, saving the ones he received in his phone. Oliver threw his away because he’s happily married, while Adriah, Inunaki and Hinata gave theirs to either Bokuto or Shugo.
“The models” Sakusa started, looking at them as he crumples the paper on his hand “They’re married, all of them”
Oh
Shugo dropped the papers in shock, jaws slack while Bokuto immediately deleted his copy, not wanting to get involved in a scandal just in case, and Atsumu was still having second thoughts, staring at his phone, his thumb hovering over the delete button.
Should he or should he not?
Sakusa just rolls his eyes before stalking off into the tent.
They quickly change back into their own clothes, leaving the venue with bags of the swimwear they just modeled. The brand’s logo is big and bright in the middle as your group walks to where the bus was parked.
“Ah, Captain Jackal” Shugo turned his head to see Schweiden’s captain walking over to him, wearing their team uniform, his hand raised in a wave.
“Bird” He leaned to the side noting the group of children crowding behind the area where he just left “Were you doing a meet and greet?”
“Yes, surprisingly the kids love Ushijima and Kageyama” Fukuro pointed to the two mentioned players with kids crowding at their feet, some hanging on their back while the others tugs on their arm “By the way, is (Y/n) here?”
Shugo pressed his lips into a thin line, turning his body to face Fukuro properly. “I know what you’re trying to do”
“No, you don’t”
“We’re not giving you our manager, get your own”
“But you already have two!”
“I don’t care!”
They glared at each other, a month after you became a part of the team, Fukuro tried to recruit you into joining the Adlers. He even sent Ushijima, Hoshiumi and Kageyama to talk to you hoping that the idea of having familiar faces in the team would change your mind but alas, you were more comfortable with MSBY so you declined every attempt.
However, Fukuro found your one weakness and he’s using it to his advantage whenever he can.
He caught sight of your figure standing near the bus, he shot Shugo a smirk before cupping his hands around his mouth “Oi (Y/n), Adloo’s here!”
They heard you gasp, letting out an excited squeal.
“Adloo!”
You shove your things into Atsumu’s hands and sprint towards the mascot who was already holding out his arms for you. Shugo felt his eye twitch at the smug look on Fukuro’s face as they watched you rock the mascot back and forth with glee. He marched to where you were burying your face on Adloo’s soft fabric and plucking you from its side, then walking towards the bus, but not before shooting Fukuro the dirty finger.
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
It was finally the weekend and it was the start of their long awaited day off, Takato had left early to go home to his pregnant wife while Oliver also went home to his family. Leaving the single ones to enjoy the weekend to themselves. It was already 8 am and you were currently sitting on the laundry room’s floor, separating the whites from the colored ones.
The dirty laundry had been left lying there for almost a week because of how busy everyone was, everyday there was always something new to do, new places to go, and new schedules to follow. Now that it was Saturday, you took it as the chance to finally do it.
Picking up a piece of shirt, you saw a big spider laying underneath it. You jump up, letting out an inhumanly shriek as it circles around in its place.
“(Y/n) are you okay?! What happened?!” you pointed to the spider now crawling the walls of the washing machine, while running to hide behind them in the hopes they’ll get rid of it.
“What the fu-”
“Miya, kill that thing” Sakusa pushed Atsumu forward as the blond stumbled into the room, brown eyes zeroed in on the insect in fear that it might jump on him the second he turned away.
“Are ya crazy?! That thing’s huge!”
He jammed himself in between Shugo and Adriah, pushing the two forward to be the new sacrificial lamb, the bug now sitting on the top of the washing machine stared back at them, unmoving. Black orbs following their movement, calculating, as if choosing his victim.
Which of these idiots should it jump on first?
“That’s it, this place is infected, we’re leaving”
“Hold on a sec, we ain’t leaving this place just because of one spider” Atsumu tried to reason with the man, but no luck however because Sakusa just thought of another way to get rid of the spider.
“Fine, lets burn it down then”
Sakusa turns to retrieve a fire starter and gasoline from the supply closet, actually serious. Atsumu quickly grabbed the back of his shirt, stopping him from actually setting the house on fire. If there was one thing that everyone learned from being with Sakusa for so long, when he says he is going to do something, he is going to do it.
No bullshitting.
So if he says he’s going to throw Atsumu out of the second floor balcony, best believe he’d be doing it an hour after his declaration.
“Even worse! This house costs millions Omi, our combined earnings won’t even cover for the damage!”
“Actually, it can”
“(Y/n), yer not helping”
“Okay, that’s enough” Shugo went in between the two “Let’s catch the spider first before it gets away”
“Uh… Meian-san” Hinata lifted a shaky hand pointing to where the arachnid was supposed to be, but the space is empty. Panic ensues and everyone searches high and low for the bug, lifting up furniture and other decorations looking behind paintings and opening kitchen drawers.
“Everyone it’s here!” Adriah called from the living room, he tiptoed towards the spider, jar in hand, ready to catch it in case it disappears again. You held in a breath when he was only a few centimeters away, slowly he lifted the jar and covered the spider. Sliding a paper underneath it, then took it outside to dispose of it.
Inunaki let out a sigh of relief before walking back into the kitchen to finish inspecting the fridge for any more ingredients to cook. The gang had decided to have Shabu-Shabu for lunch later and he was checking if there were enough ingredients left to serve 8 people. While you went back to the laundry room to load the clothes into the washing machine.
“We need to buy more” Inunaki closes the fridge door, as he checks the cupboards for the sauces and other spices.  “Meats and vegetables especially”
He took a piece of paper and wrote down what needs to be bought, double-checking the list if he forgot anything.
“We’ll go!” Atsumu pulled Hinata and Bokuto towards him then pointing a finger at Sakusa who was spraying the kitchen counter with some lysol then wiping it with a rug “Omi-Omi too”
“What? No”
He declined, but the blond just ignored his protest before looking at the older members. “We’ll be fine”
“Are you sure?” Adriah leaned on the counter as he looked at the troublesome four, they have done grocery shopping so many times before and it always turned out okay, the only difference is that before there was at least one of the older members accompanying them, while this time, they were choosing to go by themselves.
“No need to worry Adriah-san” Hinata tried to reassure the man, and although Adriah did relax a little he still hadn’t agreed to it yet. You walk in the kitchen, the first batch of laundry already in the washing machine, tumbling around as the detergent removes the dirt and bad smell.
“I don’t see a problem” Shugo pipes up “They’re adults now, I’m sure they wouldn’t fail something as simple as grocery shopping”
Inunaki was still a bit hesitant, his eyes darting to each face of the younger members of the team, though mainly focusing themselves on Atsumu and Bokuto, because he knows those two share a brain cell but don’t know how to use it.  However, Shugo is right, so he gave you the list and the money before following the five of you into the garage.
“So who’s driving?” Shugo held up the keys, twirling them on his fingers while they put on their face mask and cap to avoid getting recognized in public.
“I will”
He stared at Atsumu, eyes blinking before turning to you, jiggling the keys. “(Y/n)?”
You shook your head. “I’m still learning Meian-san”
“Ya gotta trust me captain!”
“I find that hard to do Atsumu”
Shugo retorted, but still dropped the keys to Atsumu’s hand as the blond opened the car and turned it on.
“Don’t damage her!”
“We won’t!”
The three of them watched, as the car went out into the driveway and zoomed through the streets. Leaving a trail of dust behind as the vehicle went out of sight in just seconds.
“I think, I made a mistake”
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
You stumbled out of the car, your heart beating fast and knees wobbly, clutching the side of the door as the trauma of a near death experience still haunts your mind.
"I think I'm going to throw up" Hinata pressed his palm on his mouth, face pale, his other hand wrapped around his stomach as he tried to contain the puke threatening to come out.
“I thought you said you could drive?” Sakusa shot Atsumu a glare, adjusting his mask. When the setter offered to drive, you thought he was actually good at it, you did not expect for him to almost crash the car at the gasoline station or nearly run an old woman over.
“That was dangerous Tsum-Tsum” Bokuto massaged his forehead, he hit the back of the driver’s seat rather hard when Atsumu slammed his foot on the break, just a few feet away from killing an old lady. Fortunately, there were no traffic enforcers nor police officers nearby and the woman didn’t even realize she was close to meeting her creator today. She happily crossed that street, as if she owned the place.
“Hey! I’m just not use to this car okay?” the setter reasoned patting the car’s hood, rubbing his palm over the sleek black top “It’s different from the one I drive back home”
“If you can drive it doesn’t matter what car, you’ll still be able to drive it properly” Sakusa crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow “Did you even pass your driving test?”
“Of course I did, I got 90%,” Atsumu answered proudly, placing his hands on his hips with his head held high and his lips upturned into a smile.
“Was the instructor a girl?”
“Yes”
There was silence, everyone staring at him doubtfully, eyes narrowed and judging.
“Stop looking at me like that!”
“But guys…” Hinata called as he waved them over, pointing at a long scratch mark on the passenger’s door. It was big, about an arm’s length. “Captain is going to kill us”
You walk around the vehicle to check the other side, to see another one on the side of the car’s hood. You clutch your head in frustration, face drained of any color, it would’ve been okay if it was just one, but there’s actually two of them. “Meian-san just bought this four months ago”
“We have to pass by a repair shop before we go home” Bokuto scratched the back of his head. “Tsum-Tsum is paying for the paint job of course”
“Alright, alright. Sheesh. Let’s go buy the groceries first” Atsumu quickly huddled everyone together and started pushing you all into the market’s entrance.
The farmers’ market is always the best place to buy ingredients, it’s cheap compared to the ones sold in malls where prices are doubled, sometimes even tripled, and it’s just ridiculously expensive. You can bargain with the vendors as well, in case some of the items were a bit too pricey. Luckily, the market isn’t too crowded, there weren’t many people buying yet which was unexpected since this place is usually packed during the weekend.
However, there was also one thing that you didn’t expect. Apparently, with how many times you frequent this place during your shopping trips, either one of the boys had made friends with some of the vendors.
“Hinata look, it’s you!” Bokuto held a tangerine next to Hinata’s head lifting his hat a little and grinning at how the fruit’s color was almost the same shade as his disciple’s hair.
You pick up another tangerine, examining it for any damages before looking through the rest of the ones displayed. While the others look through the rest of the fruits they offer, bananas, avocados, apples and some grapes. Anything they found very appealing was picked up and placed inside the bag.
“How much for all of these?” you look at the girl, pointing at the bag that’s almost filled with fruits, but she seems to be looking at something else. You turn around, following where her eyes were focused to see the troublesome four eating some of the fruits.
“We haven’t paid for those yet!” you shriek before turning to the girl again and bowing furiously “I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry!”
“Wouldja relax (Y/n)-chan?” Atsumu took hold of your shoulder, stopping you from hitting your forehead on one of the crates “These are free samples”
He pointed to the little corner of the stall where smaller size crates were neatly arranged, three pieces of each fruit sitting inside with the sign reading free sample, pasted at the front.
“They’re really good (Y/n), here” Bokuto fed you a piece, watching as you munch on the sweet and juicy fruit.
You let out a hum, swallowing the fruit “This is good” you turn to look at the girl, eyes wide “This is really good
She gave you a shy smile, a light shade of pink now visible on her cheeks “Really? Thank you”
“So, how much for all of these?” you opened your bag, pulling out your wallet.
“It’s okay, this is free”
You almost drop your wallet from what she said, you shook your head fishing out a few thousand yen bills and giving it to her “No, this is too much”
She pushes back your hand, lifting up your bag and giving it to your companions “Consider it as a gift” then she moves to serve the other customer in waiting, waving your group goodbye.
Sakusa pushed you to move when he still saw you staring at the rejected money in your hand, leading you to where you were going to buy your meat. Passing through the vegetable stands where you still need to buy some for when you’re finished at the butcher’s shop.
“Hiruma-san good morning!”
“Ah, come in come in!” an old man from behind the counter grinned, lifting the clever over his head before bringing it down on the thick meat place on his wooden chopping board. “What would you like today?”
He wipes his hands on his apron, walking behind the glass case grabbing a tong, snapping it a few times as they pick the meat they like for their lunch later. They were pointing mostly at anything they lay their eyes on, and Sakusa has to remind them about the budget and that they can’t have pork, beef, lamb, and duck at the same time.
“The others didn’t come with you today?” the old man asked, picking up the pork and beef slices that were far too many and bagging them.  Then he grabbed another bag and went to the fish area.
“They’re busy at the house”
At the corner, you were counting the money, mentally calculating your budget again. The old man was giving large portions of the meat and you knew that it wasn't very cheap. Just a few cuts alone were worth a few hundred yen, what more when there are two types of meat involved with different varieties of fish thrown into the mix.
He tied the bags then gave it to Atsumu and Bokuto as Sakusa refused to touch the raw meat, not until it had been washed properly, not even if it’s packed away in a bag.
“This one is on the house”
“What? No!” you scrambled towards the man, almost tripping yourself in the process “Hiruma-san please just take the money, this is too much”
“This is a thank you for being such good patrons” he didn’t even let you say another word, the man just walked off to the other side of the display case catering to another customer who walked in.
What is up with these people ignoring you?
Hinata led you out, patting your back, chuckling at the pout on your face.
“Hinata, is our money not good enough?”
“Maybe they’re just feeling generous today (Y/n)”
You stood outside the shop, eyebrows furrowed in thought, you were starting to wonder if they were genuinely just being generous folks or there was something hidden behind their actions.
“Now, all we need are the vegetables then we can go home”
You look around for a nearby vegetable stall, one that you think is not friends with any of the guys so they’ll have no choice but to accept your money like a proper businessman.
“That one” you pointed to the one just besides the meat shop. “I’ll go”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, just stay put” then you walk off face determined. “Hello”
The vendor put down the crate he was holding, wiping his hands on his pants and walking over to you.
“(Y/n)?” You internally groaned, your old high school classmate standing in front of you at the other side of the stall, and here you were hoping it wouldn't be anyone you know.
“Masuda, long time no see” you nodded your head at him, picking through the vegetables. They were all fresh, he must’ve just arrived.
“Yeah, six years is a long time” He grabbed a basket holding it out for you, as you picked out, mushrooms, carrot, green onion and napa cabbage. “Doing some grocery shopping for the team?”
He gestures to the large amounts of vegetables you’re dropping in the basket “Yep, they’re big eaters. All of them”
He laugh placing them inside a plastic bag “They’re athletes after all”
“How much?”
You accepted the plastic big, the money ready in your hand.
“No. it’s free” you squint your eyes at him, pursing your lips “Consider it as my payback for helping me so many time during high school”
“School has nothing to do with this Masuda” you grab his hand, slamming the money on his palm “So for the love of all things holy, just accept the money”
You stared him down, daring him to refuse it one more time. He nodded his head, clutching the cash as you walked away satisfied that finally, finally, someone accepted your payment. You swore, if these people just keep on giving their products away just because the customer is a friend or a relative, you won’t be surprised if they go home without any profit at the end of the day.
“Let’s stop by the repair shop first then we’ll go home” Atsumu reminded before looking down at Sakusa’s outstretched hand “What?”
“Give me the keys, I’m driving this time” He snatched it out of Atsumu’s hand then climbed into the driver’s seat.
«──────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ────────────»
"It's such a nice day today isn't it?" Shugo leaned back in his chair, placing his hands behind his head. The cabana tent serves as a good shade from the afternoon sun.
Adriah removes one of the earbuds from his ear, hands still moving across his notebook as he writes his notes from his Japanese lessons "It is, the sun feels really good"
They were now in the backyard enjoying the rest of the day besides the pool, Hinata and Bokuto were already playing in the water doing some diving tricks they saw on YouTube. (Y/n) and Atsumu were on the other side, the girl dying the setter’s hair as his roots were starting to show up, meanwhile Sakusa was still inside, probably finishing up on his cleaning.
“Wish days like these would last” Inunaki leaned down, opening the cooler beside his feet, grabbing three bottles of beer and giving it to the two. Opening the packet of chips resting on the table as they munch on some snacks, listening to the song they had put on the speaker to play.
"Kiyoomi, what have you got there?" Adriah asks as the germaphobe walks towards the garbage bags. Masked on his face, his hands covered with plastic gloves, holding what seems to be a ziplock bag filled with some sort of articles of clothing.
"Miya's dirty underwear" he swiftly answered, opening one of the bags and immediately tossing the ziplock bag inside and closing it again "He left it lying around in the bathroom again so I'm throwing it away"
He walks back into the house, probably to resume his cleaning escapades as the three older men could only watch his retreating figure, speechless.
"Should we tell Atsumu?" Adriah took a worried glance towards the piled garbage bag, eyebrows furrow in concern, before looking at the two again.
Inunaki waves his hand, biting on a potato chip "Nah, he'll find out soon once he realizes he's missing a few pair"
So they just continued whatever they were doing, Hinata and Bokuto's shouts and laughter echoing throughout the open space. A cool wind blew past them, ruffling the leaves of the trees planted near the fence as the flowers swayed along with it.
"Bokuto grab a drink here" the pepper haired male pauses his game with Hinata as he climbs out of the pool, water dripping from his body as he crouches in front of the cooler.
"Do you have soda Meian-san?" He rummaged through the multiple bottles and cans of alcohol, pushing the blocks of ice to the side before his eyes landed on the familiar green and black color scheme of a mountain dew can.
He took the can, and three more bottles before opening them and walking to where Hinata was now sitting at the edge on Atsumu and (Y/n)'s side of the pool, giving (Y/n) the soda and the two other bottles to Atsumu and Hinata.
“I’m still bothered about Atsumu’s underwear” Adriah once again turned around in his chair, eyes trained on the garbage bag, waiting for the time it gets to be picked up. “We could-“
A loud honking sound was heard from the other side of the fence as you stopped what you were doing. "The garbage truck is here" jogging to where the bags were resting. Bokuto and Hinata follow after her. Helping the girl carry them out, with their setter's underwear lying amongst the trash in one of the bags, and Atsumu, who was none the wiser, happily held the back gate open as the three walked out and gave it to the garbage man.
They shared a look, as if they had just indirectly participated in a crime, as the garbage truck drives away towards the other houses in the neighborhood.
“Let’s just hope Atsumu still have some spare left”
Sakusa who have already finished cleaning walk towards their area. Already changed into a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and a pair of flip-flops with a book tuck under his arms.
"You want a drink Kiyoomi?"
"No, thank you" Sakusa answered, before situating himself on the lounge chair and opening his book. It was rare for Sakusa himself to willingly join everyone, he's usually not into gathering or bonding that much, so the team must have reached a new level of personal hygiene for the Sakusa Kiyoomi to hang out with them.
It's probably the result of (Y/n) constantly reminding them to wash their hands with alcohol and hand sanitizers, telling them to wear face masks when they're out travelling. Lecturing them how pollution and their constant exposure to sweat and social interactions with other people can lead to a disease. When you had said that, they thought you were going to evolve into Sakusa 2.0 but remembered that you were a university graduate with a degree in sports science so they can’t really argue with that one.
“Maybe I should dye my hair as well, what do you guys think?” Shugo started as the two looked at him questioningly, watching as the captain inspected his hair through his phone’s front camera, running his hand through it as he tugs at the end.
Inunaki snorts, slumping on his chair “Oh please, you’re already old”
“I’m not old! I’m only 29”
The libero deadpanned at him “You’re literally one birthday away into turning 30”
Adriah just laughs, closing his notebook and looking at his captain “What color do you have in mind?”
“Blond looks cool” Shugo shrugs his shoulders, watching as you apply the last remaining dye on Atsumu’s hair.
Inunaki groaned “Oh god no, you’ll look like an old man trying to be hip”
“I told you, I’m not old!”
“Oh yeah? Because that gray hair says otherwise”
“What?”
Inunaki and Adriah pointed at the front part of his hair, as he held up his phone to see a strand of gray hair sticking out among his dark locks.
“What the fuck”
“Congratulations captain, that is a milestone” Adriah patted him on the back laughing.
Shugo stared at it in disbelief, lifting a hand and wrapping it on his finger then tugging.
"Don't pull it out, did you not learn from your elders?" Inunaki scolded him, slapping his hand away.
"Learn what?"
"If you pluck it out, they'll spread faster. Just let it be, it's not even that noticeable"
Shugo looked at it again then ruffled his hair to see if it could be hidden within the rest, and was satisfied when he saw it could be covered.
Silence filled them again, munching on their chips and drinking when Atsumu's booming voice erupted from the depths of the huge house.
“Where the heck are all my underwear?!”

MSBY Black Jackals w/ an Spanic s/o + Osamu
Part I : feat Meian, Inunaki, Thomas and Osamu
Part II : feat Atsumu, Bokuto, Hinata and Sakusa
Tumblr media
*Y/l/n: your last name
Tumblr media
Miya Atsumu
Pretty setter was actually waiting his order from Starbucks when he just took what sounded his order because wasn't paying attention
So when you called him and ask if his last name was y/l/n* he read the cup, but he already drank from it soooo
He offers an apology and gives you his order, unfortunately it wasn't what you asked so he had to promise to treat you with your favourite drink and something to eat
After knowing about your country he wants to lear curse words in Spanish to call his brother "pendejo" (dumbass) or something else if he was feeling like it
Tried some food from your hometown and now refuses to eat something else, not only because tastes good but he likes to watch you cook for him
His ego grows 10 times when you call him "mi amor" so expect to see his smug grin and a teasing remark when you call him on Spanish
He swears you lure him into doing certain things when you talk on Spanish, he blames your beautiful voice for everything
Tumblr media
Bokuto Kōtaro
Check out a similar work here but this time we're talking about time skip Bo!
This boy heard you talk in Spanish over the phone and followed like a puppy all the way until you ended the call
Introduces himself right away! He wants to ask you many things, like where do you come from, how was the home you grew, what's your time zone etc
At first he was excited to have a new friend, but soon enough developed in something else thanks to your touches
He likes when you touch his face while he talks about his practice day, he melts under your fingertips
Sometimes he asks you to sing him on your native tongue before drifting to sleep or when you're chilling in the couch
He likes to take you out to eat food from your country, but his favourite dessert is you ;)
He likes to dance with you in the kitchen, he tries to sing along with you in Spanish but he laughs every time he can't make up a word
Tumblr media
Hinata Shōyo
Ray of sunshine is actually a Portuguese speaker, so when he heard what he thought was Portuguese his eyes found you 👀
He walked to you and started to speak in Portuguese but when you told him you were speaking Spanish he apologizes
After a small chat he couldn't help but shyly ask your contact, you couldn't say no to the cute redhead
After months of painful pinning you're officially dating! Because the language is similar he is actually fast at learning, there is variations here and there but he understands a few things
You're actually surprised he knew how to dance 👀 boy got moves, he likes to dance with you whenever he has the chance
You got pet names for him on Spanish and his for you are in Portuguese 😎👍 he definitely has your contact name as coração (corazón/heart)
He likes to cuddle with you, hugs you from behind talking sweet nothings in Portuguese knowing you catch some of his words but giving him few pecks anyways
Tumblr media
Sakusa Kiyoomi
The first time he saw you, you were walking around and cussing in Spanish outside the gym
Apparently someone crashed your car, for some reason he was interested, not only because of the language but because somehow you look like a vengeful goddess
Your eyes had a spark that caught his attention, yes he knew you were pissed off but somehow he felt himself attracted
The second time was when you found out Atsumu was the one who crashed your car, the way your hands were reaching to Tsumu's throat was amusing
He ask you out right there making you utterly confused giving the blonde time to sneak out, and after a few seconds Sakusa hands you his presentation card
Now you both are dating and he can't get tired of how your eyes light up at everything you do, dancing with you is his favourite, feels intimate having you close and safe in your shared home
He enjoys to listen you talk on Spanish after an stressful day of practice, thinks is soothing and low-key likes when you tease him calling him "papi" but he won't ever tell you
Thanks for reading 🐨✨💖

Breaking Through:
Future Mrs. Sakusa
Tumblr media
Sakusa Kiyoomi x Fem! Reader (she/her)
Warnings: mild swearing, all fluff
AN: this is an anon request and a sequel to Being Itachiyama’s Manager: Breaking through Sakusa’s Walls. I did change up the request a little from proposing at a game to a more private proposal just because it fit with the scenario a little better 🥰
Well congrats Yn 👏🏻
You’ve made it through your first year as MSBY’s manager
Honestly, your survival wasn’t assured
I mean, just look at the working hazards
*cough* BOKUTO, ATSUMU AND HINATA *cough*
If you don’ constantly hear, “yN i NeEd HeLp” 🙄
But seriously though, acclimating to this team wasn’t your only chore
You were also navigating your relationship with MSBY Spiker, Kiyoomi Sakusa
Now as we all know, you and Sakusa have been dating for quite a while
High school, college and now pro-volleyball
Seriously it’s been almost like 5 years that’s you’ve been hanging onto Sakusa
It hasn’t always been easy
His constant concern for germs and his annoyance of his idiotic teammates were a struggle
You’d gone through some tough times in college and beyond
Dealing with losses of games and a grueling Olympic journey
It was a lot to say the very least but your love and commitment to Kiyoomi held strong 💪🏻
Now Sakusa knew he wasn’t an easy person to deal with
Heck before you came along, Komori was literally the only one who could deal with him
You might have been the opposite of him but you meshed well
You learned to deal with his quirks and his need to cleanliness
He learned to deal with you and your extreme desire to keep Hinata, Bokuto and Atsumu alive 🙄
He knew you were the one a long time ago and he loved/adored you more than anything!
He had long been thinking about the next step but he wanted it to be perfect
He knew you deserved the best and he was going to give it to you
He had been saving up for a ring for a while now and he’d managed to keep it all a secret
Until one day when Meian and his girlfriend announced their engagement during practice
He watched as you became so excited for them, giving them hugs and admiring the ring on her finger
“It’s gorgeous!! Shugo you did such a great job!” You cried as you celebrated for your friends and teammates
Sakusa couldn’t help but imagine how excited you would be for your own engagement to him
He loved the idea how you wearing his ring and eventually his last name
And Sakusa wasn’t the only one to notice your excitement 👀
Because Atsumu had seen it as well and being the little shit he is, he most DEFINITELY was going to bring it up
“Sooooo Omi, when are you gonna put a ring on YN’s finger?” Atsumu asked later in the locker room as the team changed
You were happily cleaning up the gym like you did normally, clueless to the entertainment behind closed doors
“Sumu back off! Don’t pressure him,” Barnes scolded as Sakusa tried to ignore Atsumu
Way easier said than done 🙄
“What? I saw how excited Yn looked when she saw that ring! You can tell she’s itching to get engaged. Come on man, it’s been what, like 5 years with her? Don’t you think it’s time to lock her down?”
An audible sigh filled the locker room as everyone tried hard to ignore Atsumu
Again, easier said than done…
“YN doesn’t care about stuff like that! She’s loved Omi and I’m sure she’d be happy if they never got married,” Shion adds as Atsumu shakes his head
“Whatever you guys say but I know women and women want diamonds!”
“Says the man who can’t lock down a girlfriend to save his life,” Meian interjected at the locker room burst into laughter
Sakusa shut his locker, not making a sound as he made his way to the showers
Unbeknownst to the guys, he’d been thinking about asking you and with your anniversary approaching, he thought it would be perfect
Since he didn’t want the stress and potential cover of his operation to be blown, he asked Komori for help
He wanted to make your engagement perfect
He’d come up with the perfect idea and he made the plans to the T
On your anniversary, he texted you saying he got caught up with volleyball stuff and that Komori would drive you too the restaurant
You agreed because you truly believed Kiyoomi was busy
But when Komori pulled up to Itachiyama’s volleyball gym, you looked at him confused
He just shrugged as you narrowed your eyes and got out of the car
You were wearing a beautiful dress, looking like an absolute dream as you walked to the doors
Getting closer, you noticed a picture on the door
It was a team picture from your second year at Itachiyama when you had first met Kiyoomi
You smiled at the picture, remembering how you first grew attracted to the finicky winged spiker
Opening the door, you saw candles, flowers and what looked to be an aisle lined with photographs
You made your way thought the gym, looking at every picture and reliving every memory
They were all pictures come your relationship with Kiyoomi
Your first date, graduation, first apartment, and first day with MSBY
Your eyes began to well with tears as you relived all the memories
Looking over, you saw Kiyoomi standing at the end, looking extremely handsome in a gorgeous suit
“Kiyoomi, this is beautiful!” You cried as he smiled and wiped your tear away
“That’s not all Yn,” he said, getting on one knee as your eyes widened and your mouth fell open
“YN LN, I’ve known since high school that you were the one for me. You’ve put up with me for years, supported me in everything I do and I couldn’t ask for better life partner. Would you do me the ultimate honor and marry me?” He recited perfectly as you nodded, tears streaming down your eyes as you cried tears of joy
He slipped the beautiful ring on your finger and stood to his full height of 6 FOOT 4 INCHES and kissed you 🥹
Honestly dreams!
You spent the night and weekend celebrating with your new fiancé before venturing back to work Monday morning
Sakusa was actually shocked that you’d somehow managed to keep your engagement a secret
Only your families and of course, Komori knew
But that went all out the window the moment you stepped into the gym
“STEP OUT OF THE WAY LOSERS BECAUSE IM THE FUTURE MRS. KIYOOMI SAKUSA!” You screamed, showing your rock to everyone within your eyesight
Bokuto and Hinata 👉🏻🥹🥹😭😭
Meian, Inunaki, Barnes and Thomas 👉🏻🥳🍾🎉
Atsumu 👉🏻😏
Sakusa 👉🏻 😐🙄
Don’t worry Yn, he’s secretly so happy 🥰

Birthday Girl
Tumblr media
Meian Shugo x Fem! reader (she/her)
Warnings: swearing, tiny “fight” scene, provocative dancing, kissing, Atsumu being bullied (?), suggestive themes, drinking
WC: 4.6k ~
AN: I’ve had this one in the drafts for a while and idk friends, it’s not that good 😅
“So what time are you guys heading to the club for YN’s birthday tomorrow?” Hinata asked his teammates as they pulled on their training gear and prepared for practice. Meian, listening from the other side of the lockers, was pulling on his shirt as the four youngest members of the Jackals talk about your birthday party plans.
“Well I told YN I’d pick her up so probably around 9,” Sakusa answered. A twinge of jealousy struck Meian as he slammed his locker door a little too hard, prompting Thomas and Inunaki to look over at him. Why did Sakusa have the privilege of picking you up for your special night? What made him so special?
He growled, walking past his teammates, going to the open office. Grabbing some paperwork, he began looking it over while his ears continued to tune into the conversation happening just outside.
“I booked the table starting at 8:30. I figured we could go and decorate before she got there,” Atsumu mentioned to the group as they all shook their heads in agreement.
“Ohh what did you get her? I was planning on going with Akaashi tonight to grab her gift,” Bokuto inquired as Atsumu smirked, shutting his locker and looking at his teammates.
“Like I’d tell any of you,” Sakusa huffed as Hinata and Bokuto narrowed their eyes in his direction. Atsumu just chuckled, shaking his head as Sakusa turned to his direction, “ok so tell us, what are you getting YN?”
“I’m gifting YN my assistance in bagging her a man,” Atsumu declared as Hinata, Sakusa and Bokuto looked at him in surprise, right before the burst into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.
“Oh my god Sumu you’re joking right?” Hinata chuckled as Thomas and Inunaki rounded the corner to join their juniors.
“You can’t even bag yourself a steady date Sumu why the hell would you pass that curse to YN?” Sakusa laughed as Atsumu narrowed his eyes, hands going to his hips.
Meian tried to focus on the paper in front of him, the list of new training techniques given to him by the coach to try but Atsumu’s declaration of his gift made it extremely difficult to do anything else. He heard Inunaki and Thomas laugh at their setter.
“Atsumu, I doubt YN needs your help in that way. She’s fucking gorgeous!” Inunaki chimed in as the paper in Meian’s hand began to crinkle as his grip tightened.
“Yeah, she probably gets laid more than any of us do!” Thomas joked as the guys all hummed in agreement.
The pencil in Meian’s hand snapped as he continued to listen to his teammates talk about you.
“Well apparently, she’s been having a dry spell for a few months. She’s caught up on some fucker or something, so I figured what better way to help her than to get her laid!” Atsumu shouted, his hands going out as he declared his resolution.
Listening to Atsumu talk about your intimate life irritated the 6’6” captain. Meian tried his best to hide his attraction to you, for years he’d managed to keep things extremely professional despite his desire for more. He watched his teammates hang all over you while he did his best to maintain order. He wanted you to feel comfortable and safe in your job and he knew exactly how stressful it could be running the lives of an entire professional men’s volleyball team.
However, it became more and more difficult the closer you and him became. On bus rides, you’d always ask to sit next to him which at first, he happily obliged. Then you’d ask for your hotel room to be next to his, just in case you needed help with organizing team activities. Soon you’d be arriving early for practice, bringing him coffee and just talking before everyone else arrived. You’d stand right next to him during team meetings and huddles, your eyes locking with him as he looked around at his teammates right before a game.
Those eyes were the same ones he pictured as he fantasized about his made-up relationship with you. He pictured waking up next to you, kissing your cheeks as he tried to drag you out of bed for morning practice. He dreamed about cooking dinner with you and relaxing in your arms after a hard day at the gym. He wanted nothing more than for those dreams to become reality.
“Yo cap, are you good?” Barnes interrupted, sticking his head into the office as Meian snapped from his thoughts, the broken end of his pencil falling to the ground as his eyes shot to Barnes.
“Yeah- yeah, come on- oh and grab Sumu, I feel like I need to hit something.”
Barnes cocked his eyebrows in response, “you do mean volleyballs right?”
Meian ignored him, making his way straight for the open gym.
He fixed his navy button down, rolling the sleeves up to his elbows and undoing the top few buttons of his shirt. He normally didn’t dress like this, opting for shorts and sweats most days but he had to admit he cleaned up pretty well.
Turning to his nightstand, he grabbed the little velvet black box that contained your birthday gift. Opening if, he observed the simple yet classy diamond necklace that he’d purchased. He’d overheard you talking about accessories onetime with one of the guys. He was looking for suggestions to get his girlfriend and you had made a comment about how a lot of women love simple, yet elegant gifts. You had also told him to make sure that he did a good and thorough job of picking it out because his girlfriend would appreciate the effort.
Meian had taken your advice to heart when going to the jewelry store. He’d done some research online, finding the perfect necklace that would suit you. He wanted you to not only be able to wear it for special occasions but daily if you so desired.
Smiling at it, he closed the box and put it in a gift bag of your favorite color. He grabbed the card, a simple one with a blank inside so he could write his own message.
He contemplated what to say and exactly how to say it. He wasn’t always the best with words, usually being blunt and loud so the guys on the team could understand him, but you weren’t just a member of the team, you were someone special.
Dear YN,
I’m not great at these things and I think you know that better than anyone. However, for you, I’m going to try my best. I hope that all your birthday wishes come true and just know, you are incredibly special to me.
Happy Birthday
Shugo
Putting the card in the bag, he applied a few sprays of his favorite cologne and made sure his hair was in perfect order. As he grabbed his watch, it began to light up, signaling he had a call. He reached for his phone, accepting the call while he finished fashioning the straps.
“Sakusa what’s wrong?” He answered as the sound of Sakusa on speakerphone chimed thought.
“Fucking Sumu forgot to get YN’s cake so I have to go and get it! Apparently the bakery is about to close and Bokuto will have a crap attack if the cake he ordered isn’t there. I’ll be able to get to the club but I’d be late with Yn. Do you think you could pick her up? I told her I’d be at her place by 8:30ish and I don’t think I’ll have time to get the cake and make it to the other side of town by then.”
Meian looked at his watch, noting it was nearly 8:15, “yeah I can swing by and get her. You just take care of the cake, so Bokuto doesn’t go into emo mode at the club.”
Sakusa laughed, thanking his captain before hanging up. Meian sighed, running his hands thought his hair as he reached for his phone to text you. Sure he had wanted to be the one to take you to your birthday party but now that the opportunity was here, it made him more than a little nervous.
Meian: Hey YN, Sakusa got caught up and can’t come get ya so I’m gonna swing by your place in about 10 minutes. Is that ok?
He waited only a few seconds before his phone buzzed.
You: OMG YAY!!! That’s just fine Shugo! I’m so excited to ride with you! Just buzz my flat and I’ll let you in when you get here!
Meian smiled at your excitement, happy you were pleased he was coming to pick you up. He picked up his keys, grabbing his wallet and making his way to his car.
Once parked, he quickly threw the empty bottles of water and electrolytes in the back seat silently cursing himself for falling behind on his usual cleaning schedule. Once his car was in more presentable shape, he buzzed the bell to your apartment as the door instantly clicked open.
“Come on up Shugo!” You shouted through the speaker as he pulled the door open and headed upstairs. You lived on the third floor, but he figured taking the stairs would give him time to calm his nerves a little more. You’d hung out on numerous occasions outside of work so this wasn’t something new, but this was the first time he was actually picking you up for an activity. He only knew of your apartment because he had to pleasure of escorting you home a few times before.
He arrived at your door, a cute sign greeting guests that he thought perfectly described you as a person hanging from your door. He smiled, rapping on the door as you quickly pulled it open, the door chain jamming.
“Shit hold on!” You swore as Meian chuckled as you closed the door unlatched the chain and swinging it open once more. You stood there, a huge smile on your beautiful face and Meian slowly took you in.
Your hair was done perfectly your makeup flawless. You wore wearing perhaps the sexiest dress he’d ever seen, black satin with a low-cut neckline and petite straps that covered your mostly exposed shoulders. The dress was tight and short, stopping several inches above your knee, just above your mid thigh. You had black high heels on, with delicate bracelets around your wrists. You looked absolutely perfect.
“Wow,” he breathed out, “you look spectacular Yn.” You looked more that spectacular, you look darn right phenomenal.
A light pink blush formed on your face as you smiled at him, moving out of the way and allowing him to enter.
“Thanks, Shugo, you look incredible! I bet all the girls will be all over you tonight,” you chime in as a twinge hit Meian. He smiled and nodded, trying his best to ignore the comment, before stepping into your apartment.
“Are you ready?” He asked as you turned to grab your keys and purse. His eyes widened as he took in the entirety of your exposed back, your dress landing on your lower back. Your skin looked incredible even beneath the crappy lighting that was your apartment.
“Yep but I couldn’t find a necklace that went with this dress. Do you think it looks ok without one? I didn’t have anything that was simple.”
Meian looked at you as you stood in front of him looking absolutely perfect. Your body looked incredible, and your breast were pushed up magnificently as you waited for his response. Suddenly, it hit him, this was his chance.
“Well actually, here,” he remarked, handing you the small bag he’d gotten you for your birthday.
“Shugo you didn’t have to do this!” You exclaimed, grabbing the bag and opening it. Meian chuckled at your enthusiasm, clearly excited for the gift.
You pulled out the card, opening and reading it. Your eyes soften as your hand went over your chest and you smiled, “Shugo, you’re going to make me cry and I can’t cry, or my makeup will run!” Meian chuckle chuckled as you put the card down, going to him and reaching in for a hug. Your hands went around his neck as his hands gently slipped to your waist, holding you tight against him. You felt perfect in his arms, molding beautifully into his body.
You pulled back as he smiled down at you and nodded to the bag, “ok now open your actual present.”
You giggled as you pulled the box out, opening it, your mouth fell slack as your eyes widened with shock.
“Shugo oh my god, it’s gorgeous!” You exclaimed, stunned at the beauty of the necklace, “holy crap, this must have cost so much money! You didn’t have to do this!”
He approached you, taking it from your hand as you swing around. He gently pulled your hair to the side as you took it from him, lifting it up as he draped the necklace around you before fastening it in the back.
You turned to face the mirror, Shugo standing behind you as he watched your expression light up.
“I wanted you to have something special because of how amazing you are,” he whispered into your ear as you felt a shiver run down your exposed back. He was so incredibly close, and your body couldn’t help but react.
Suddenly the moment was broken, Meian’s phone blaring as a call came flooding in. He grabbed it from his pants, looking at the caller id and rolling his eyes. You giggled, knowing exactly who was calling.
“Sumu what!?” Meian shouted as you checked your makeup and grabbed your purse.
“Are you coming? All the guest are here and we are waiting for our birthday girl!” Sumu yelled, Meian pulling the phone away from his ear as you shook at your head at all the nonsense.
“She’s MY birthday girl,” Meian repeated in his head before answering Sumu with a resounding, “yeah leaving now. Be there in 10.”
Meian escorted you down to his car, opening the door before taking your hand and helping you in. He then quickly made his way around to the drivers seat before taking off.
After a few moments of silence, Meian decides to break the silence.
“So are ya excited for your party Yn?” He questioned as you shrugged.
“Yeah sort of,” you responded as Meian looked over at you in confusion, “oh don’t get me wrong, I’m so grateful the guys are doing this but I’m definitely not use to being the center of attention. Heck I usually leave that up to you guys.”
Meian understood what you meant. Being in the lime light was difficult at times and their lives were practically all public knowledge.
“Well just know you deserve this and so much more Yn. You are an amazing person and such a great manager,” he remarked as he pulled up to the valet at the club your party was being held at.
Escorting you in, Meian couldn’t help but fantasize about how amazing you looked on his arm and how he wouldn’t mind this being an everyday thing. His fantasies were broken however by the loud sounds of at least a dozen men shouting.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY YN!” The crowd yells as you and Meian enter the cup area. The entire back of the club was decorated in balloons and streamers of your favorite colors, beautiful arrangements of a flowers splayed everywhere with a giant, three tier’s cake with your age right in the center.
Meian was pretty impressed that idiots managed to pull of such an elaborate setup. As you began to hug everyone, Meian wandered over to Inunaki.
“Damn this is a pretty rich set up, Bokuto and Atsumu did this?”Meian questioned as Inunaki laughed, shaking his head back and forth.
“Oh god no, Sakusa and I hired a company to do this. Atsumu just showed up to ‘supervise’ and Sakusa told Bokuto he could bring one balloon. It’s hidden behind all the other ones.”
Inunaki pointed out a colorful and big balloon with a cat on it that said, ‘Here’s to a PURRFECT Birthday!’
Meian laughed before his eyes shifted over to you. He watched as everyone continued to hug you and wish you happy birthday. He noticed Kageyama and Hoshiumi as well as the other Adlers joining in. His confusion grew as he looked around seeing the entire Adlers team around your birthday table.
Just as his brain processed the fact that their rivals were here, his arch nemisis, Fukuro Hirugami, showed up next to you, giving you a huge hug and lifting you straight off the ground.
“Ahh Fukuro!” You screamed, clung onto his neck as your dress began to slowly ride up. Meian’s blood pressure began to rise, anger filling him as Hirugami set you down and you pulled your dress back down.
“What in the hell are the Adlers doing here?” Meian growled at Inunaki as he shrugged, not knowing how to answer it.
“I have no clue dude. Atsumu or Hinata must have invited them. You know how much they love Yn. Why is there a problem?” Inunaki watched as his captains face grew red with frustration.
Meian was annoyed that the Adlers had turned up, knowing exactly how the team and especially Hirugami felt about you. He wasn’t shy about bringing up his attraction to you during their practice matches, making it blatantly obvious that he was staring at your ass on multiple occasions.
Meian had never wanted to punch someone in the face more than he did at this very moment. Hirugami’s eyes were glued to you in that dress, not that he could really blame the man, but damn did he have to make it so fucking obvious?
“Well let get this party started! Time to get our birthday girl smashed!” Atsumu shouted, pulling you towards the table filled with drinks and shots.
You sat down next to Atsumu, your eyes trailing to Meian as you motioned for him to come and sit next to you. He quickly obliged, moving past everyone before knocking shoulders with Hirugami on his way to your side. Their eyes met, Hirugami smirking at him as he turned to look in your direction. It was a silent challenge but one Meian would not back down from.
A few shots later and you were feeling a good buzz. Meian wasn’t complaining one bit, your body pressed against his as you talked and joked with your friends.
“Alright Yn, you owe me a dance let’s go!” Hinata shouted, grabbing your hand and pulling you towards the dance floor. Bokuto and Hoshiumi followed as Meian watched you having fun. He loved the way your eyes lit up and how spectacular you looked dancing. God, could you move your body flowing so effortlessly and perfectly in tune with the music.
“So, tell me, is Yn still single?” Hirugami asked, sliding up next to Meian, his expression narrowing in on his arch-nemesis.
Meian’s blood boiled at the thought of you anywhere near Hirugami. “She’s not a fuck toy Hirugami, stay away from her!”
Hirugami laughed, shaking his head before responding, “nah dude, I was gonna ask her to dinner. She’s fucking hot man, I’m surprised one of you haven’t bagged her already.”
His anger only grew as he watched Hirugami turn to face you, his eyes watching your body move as if it wasn’t a privilege.
Meian stood up, looking down at Hirugami, “stay the fuck away from her.” He began to walk away as Hirugami watched him, his smirked widening.
Meian went to the bar, grabbing a shot and pouring it back. He had to cool down, he couldn’t let Hirugami’s stupid tricks get to him. There was no way he’d not know Meian liked you by the way he acted.
“If you plan to turn into a raging alcoholic, could you maybe give me a heads up so I can deal with coach?” A voice chuckled as Meian turned to see Barnes walking towards him.
“Don’t think you have to worry about that,” Meian answered, turning around to see his friend and teammate approaching.
“You know, I’m pretty sure everyone except Yn knows you like her. Why don’t you just tell her and put yourself out of this misery,” Barnes suggested, leaning against the bar.
“Is it really that obvious?” Meian asked as Barnes turned to him and smiled.
“So obvious man.”
Meian turned back to the dance floor, eyes locking on you, only this time, you weren’t alone.
Hirugami was right behind you, his hands on your hips as you swayed to the music. He watched, anger boiling over as Hirugami pulled you closer to him, your hips and ass grinding against him as he stuck his head down, to rest next to your ear.
“Shugo you ok-” Barnes asked as Meian took off from his station at the bar, headed straight for you and Hirugami.
“Shit Inunaki!” Barnes shouted and pointed as the Libero’s eyes followed the line of sight to see their captain practically running towards you and Hirugami.
“Damn it! Bokuto, Thomas!” He shouted, the two men near him spotting Inunaki running towards Meian.
“Oh fuck,” Thomas yelled, quickly racing towards the dance floor.
Meian grabbed your arm, pulling you toward him as you jolted, falling into his chest.
“Shugo what’s wrong?” You asked, his hand going to your waist as he glared at Hirugami who now had a sly smirk on his face.
“I told you to stay the fuck away from her,” Meian growled, pulling you behind his back as you watched the two men go toe to toe.
“Didn’t know you laid a claim on her Meian, you really shouldn’t let her out of your sights,” Hirugami smiled smugly as Meian got into his face.
You stood behind Meian, scared of what was about to happen. You looked around, seeing Inunaki, Barnes, Bokuto and Thomas headed towards you as well as Heiwajima, Romero and Sokolov from the Adlers.
“Captain back down,” Barnes insisted as Inunaki pulled you away from the confrontation. The last thing he wanted was for you to get hurt.
“Yeah Meian, back down,” Hirugami spat out as Meian growled and shoved the captain of the Adlers. Your hands flew to your face as you watched Hirugami, fall back a few feet.
“Hey knock it off!” Romero shouted, Hirugami going back into Meian’s face, the two going nose to nose. You stood there, in shock at what you were witnessing. You couldn’t believe what was happening.
“Shugo, Fukuro stop it!” You shouted but neither of them heard you, their egos both too loud to hear anything but their own minds. Atsumu, Hoshiumi, Ushijima and Hinata had joined the group now while Kageyama came to stand by you and Inunaki.
“Come on your guys!” Someone shouted as Meian and Hirugami continued their stare off, suddenly Hirugami shoved Meian who stumbled back a few feet as a small squeak sounded torn from your lips as you mindlessly began to make your way towards the men.
“YN not! Don’t go over there, you’ll get hurt!” Inunaki grabbed your wrist, swinging you around as you screamed.
“Someone has to stop them!”
Like an Angel from above, Sakusa made his way through the crowd, getting in between Hirugami and Meian as the other men began to approach as well.
“Alright knock it the fuck off! Jesus Christ this is YN’s birthday and you guys are ruining it!”
Meian snapped to Sakusa, his mind clearing as his thoughts drifted from rage to concern. He turned his head to find you, standing by Inunaki and Kageyama and looking extremely scared.
“Fuck!” Meian shouted before turning and leaving out of the club. You tore yourself for Inunaki, running after him as fast as your heeled feet would carry you.
“Shugo wait!” You shouted, running after him as he plowed through the crowd. Once outside he kept walking as the sound of your heels hitting pavement followed him.
Meian was so incredibly angry with himself for ruining your party and your birthday. He’d let his anger get the better of him and done something he never wanted to do, scare you.
He stopped, turning around to respond to you, “look Yn I’m sor-”
Suddenly you fling yourself at him, his eyes widening as your arms went behind his neck and his hands went around your waist. You slammed your lips against his, his eyes wider than before as he slowly melted into the kiss, your arms grasping him tightly as he pulled you close to him.
“YN, what-?”
“Shugo god you are such an idiot!”
Meian looked at you, confused as to what was happening. He had just ruined your birthday party but yet, you didn’t look upset or heartbroken. In fact, you were smiling up at him.
“Don’t you see, it’s always been you Shugo. I’ve been dropping hints that I’ve been interested in you for months now and well, you never reciprocated.”
Meian studied your face, looking for any sort of deception or falsehood in your statement. There was just no way any of this was happening right now.
“YN be serious for a minute please. There is no way you could possibly like me.”
You sighed, before pulling out your phone and tapping away. Meian was even more confused as you turned your phone around to show him the messages that had taken place between you and the team.
You: ugh I don’t think I can take this anymore!! He’s so incredibly hot 🥵
Sakusa: Yn keep your thirsting to a minimum please, it’s gross
Barnes: Jesus Yn just confess to the man already!
You: I can’t 🥺👉🏻👈🏻
Inunaki: why not? You two hang out all the time and act like your dating so just make it official already
Atsumu: I know what’s holding you back YN
You: you do sumu 🤨
Atsumu: yep, it’s your crush on me
Sakusa: oh my god
Bokuto: Meian and YN sitting in a tree…
Hinata: K I S S I N G 😘
You: I regret ever telling you all anything
Thomas: probably would have been easier to just confess right 😂
Meian read the texts over and over, looking for something, anything that would prove you were lying but there was nothing. You weren’t lying and you did like him.
“Well shit,” he chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head as you blushed.
“I know there was probably better ways to tell you Shugo but well-”
Before you could finish, his lips were on yours again, pulling you in closer as the kiss deepened. His tongue met yours, battling for dominance as he quickly took over. The kiss was incredible and everything felt perfect.
He broke the kiss, a huge smile cresting his face as he looked down at you, matching expression staring back at him.
Meanwhile…
“See my master plan to find YN a man worked,” Sumu exclaimed as MSBY all stared, unimpressed at Atsumu’s declaration.
“Sumu you’ve spent the entire night flirting with girls, what help did you give Yn?” Hinata questioned, a look of confusion growing on the red heads face.
“Yeah you weren’t even here when we broke up the fight between the captains,” Shion returned as Atsumu waved him off.
“That was the whole plan guys! I trusted in you guys and let nature take it course,” Atsumu proudly declared as everyone stood up and walked away from the table leaving Atsumu all alone.
“It’s fine,” he declared, “y’all can thank me later.”
