New #scarf who dis? I FINALLY have a #Norway #Norge scarf. One more thing in my preparations for next year when @grandslamcurling brings the Meridian Open to Las Vegas. I checked the GSOC website and teams were announced on 12/17 (my parents’ wedding anniversary). If the #grandslamofcurling sticks to a similar schedule & announces on a Tuesday, that takes us to 12/15/20, which means my #Norwegians have 287 days to qualify/be invited. . . Team World will also formed by Niklas Edin, Peter de Cruz, Anna Sidorova, Anna Hasselborg and Silvana Tirinzoni. 

Continental Cup will take place in London (Ontario) in January

As some of you may know, I’m co-admin for the Rockheads All Things Curling group on FB. @meaghan_edwards founded the group in October 2018 and in 13 months we’ve grown to over 1,500 members from all over the world. Bummed I’m not in #Calgary for the #GlencoeInvitational this #ValentinesDay weekend. I really wanted to finally meet the new #TeamUlsrud aka @team.minera.skifer I was stoked when I first heard about it & waited with bated breath for more info. Unfortunately, the only way an American fangirl like me could’ve gotten tix to this exclusive soldout funspiel was to be the highest bidder on the last 4 tickets left made available recently. Yea I didn’t want to risk spending $$$$ on a trip to Canada for #curling w/o tix to the event. . . Silver lining might be that I won’t be getting thrown out of the venue for extreme fangirling 😂 I commissioned this curling #digitalart #fanart from @doodledarren who happens to be the Assistant Director of the hip hop dance group I’m in and a talented #artist He’s drawn me w/ @teamniklasedin & @saramcmanus in the past. The inspiration is of course me fangirling at the event, complete w/ a sign, the total opposite of real life. The only accurate thing about me in this photo is that I do own 🇳🇴 fancy pants. I unfortunately don’t have a 🥌🇨🇦 toque & will never own the new Team Edin hoodie from @dynastycurling . . Congrats to @team.minera.skifer on their win against Team Germany earlier 👏👏👏 It was neat to see #ThomasUlsrud and #TeamMineraSkifer on tv even for a little bit. #MCM shoutout for the members of @team.minera.skifer aka #TeamUlsrud The #Norwegians are getting prepped for the upcoming European Championships in Helsingborg Sweden. I’m excited that I’ll get to see @thomasulsrud to duke it out again against @niklasedin Even better that the Team Ulsrud vs @teamniklasedin game will be broadcast on tv in the US on Olympic Channel. Glad I don’t have to bend over backwards and go out of my way just to watch curling on tv. Canadians have no idea how hard it is to be a hardcore curling fangirl when you live outside of Canada. #CurlingWorldCup Draw 14 Recap The #mixeddoubles final for Championship Sunday is set! Thomas Ulsrud and Kristin Skaslien will take on Colton Lott and Kadriana Sahaidak of Canada. To say that this is a surprising match up for the final is quite the understatement. I’m shocked that the Swiss duo of Perret and Rios aren’t in the final, but that’s the thing about mixed doubles - a lot can happen in one end... Lots of points can be scored and lots of surprises do happen. Totally getting behind the whole Thomas Ulsrud is a pretty damn good mixed doubles player thing. #CurlingWorldCup Draw 13 Recap Not gonna lie, I was nervous for @niklasedin and my #SwedishVikings heading in to this draw since they lost to Team Schwaller earlier this week, but when @teamniklasedin starts off w/ a steal of 3, it’s damn near impossible to #comeback from it. The #Icevengers ended up beating the Swiss 9-5. Leg 3 finals hopes still alive 👊💪 They need to win against Japan & need help from the Youngbucks (to beat Team Schwaller) to have enough points for Championship Sunday.
