Whoever said a photograph and Canadian stats can't go hand in hand was... probably not Canadian. 😀

Here goes: 

The photograph of this beachfront property was captured during a winter storm from the shores of Lake Ontario. Beautiful, isn't it? Located in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto, this picturesque scene was one I often saw during runs and walks along the boardwalk. There’s something about winter’s solstice that I love. I think it has something to do with pending rejuvenation and starting anew after a long, cold Canadian winter. I haven’t tried to articulate it before. It’s more of a feeling. A transition. Knowing I will revisit it again next year. Somewhat like peanut butter; it’s a staple. I keep coming back for more.

Two Aussies at the Tree Farm It was warm, it was wet, it was icy, it was sloppy. But, damn it was a lot of fun running around the Tree Farm with these two goofballs, Cooper & Otis. We got a great mix of posed and action shots thanks to some wonderful training and handling by their humans. Sal (one of their peoples) received a Gift Certificate from the rest of the staff at @eatlocalpizza for xmas, which means $25 from this shoot goes the Tuff Scruff $5fur5 initiative. $5 dollars each for 5 different animal welfare/rescue organizations in NWO. Exploring #thunderbay today .... 🚙

To be honest, every time I swing by this city it’s usually a place I never stop. My main “rest stops” are the #terryfox monument and that’s about it. This road trip I decided to take extra time to come and explore the waterfront and check out some of the spectacular views!! .... I went “off road” and started driving down some random roads and found some great views and picture opportunities. I then took some time to explore the Waterfront parks and walkways. I must say, @cityofthunderbay has done a fabulous job with what it has created. Come check it out sometime. @blue_car_road_tripper

SUMMER SUNRISE OVER LAKE SUPERIOR.

It was 5am on a Sunday when I captured the original version of this photograph: A woman watching a summer sun rise over the former Manitoba Pool 2 grain elevators (situated on Lake Superior). I’d been meaning to revisit the image because I felt more story could be brought out to show the beauty of the waterfront. I hope you enjoy it.

I'm proud to call Northern Ontario home. Where I once lived a big city lifestyle with limited access to nature I now reside in Thunder Bay with unlimited access. It's a refreshing quality of life and complements my photographic journey.
